CHYRLSER 200 4CYL SEDAN. WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE CAR DOESN'T SHIFT TO THE PROPER GEAR. THE RPMS WOULD BE BETWEEN 6000-7000 AND COULDN'T GET OVER 60 MPH. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE IN THE PAST MONTH. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SHOWED UP THE SECOND TIME WITH A CODE P0882 TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE.
SEVERAL ISSUES. HORN BLOWS RANDOMLY. WIPERS COME ON FOR NO REASON. ENGINE STALLS DRIVING AT SPEEDS 60 MPH. MAY START AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. MAY NOT START UNTIL SEVERAL TRIES. HORN WILL ALSO BLOW WITH ENGINE OFF AND MONKEYS IN IGNITION.
I was driving and I went over a speed bump. The driver's side headrest exploded outward and hit my head very hard. Upon inspection, it looks like a plastic brace failed. The dealer says there is no recall. They say it will cost $700. There were no warnings.
VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVING 40-45 MPH IN TRAFFIC WOULD NOT RESTART UNTIL AFTER SITTING FOR 30 MIN TO 2 HOURS. THERE WAS NO WARNING BEFORE IT DIED, IT WAS RUNNING NORMALLY. AFTER IT RESTARTED THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED THEN STAYED ON SOLID FOR A COUPLE DAYS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CRANKSHFT POSITION SENSOR SO I HAD THAT REPLACED. THE CAR THEN 3 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING STARTED CHUGGING REALLY BAD. I WAS THEN TOLD THE IGNITION COIL ON #2 CYLINDER WAS MISFIRING. I HAD THAT REPLACED ALONG WITH ALL SPARK PLUGS AND CAR RAN THE SAME AFTER DRIVING 4-5 MILES THEN DIED AND NO RESTART. THE REPAIR SHOP FOUND THE #2 IGNITION COIL MELTED INTO THE VALVE COVER AND IT HAD ALSO CRACKED THE VALVE COVER. THEY REPLACED THE VALVE COVER AND THE #2 IGNITION COIL AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND PREMLIMINARY ESTIMATE IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM SENDING TOO MUCH VOLTAGE TO THAT CYLINDER.SO FAR THERE HAS BEEN 2 IGNITION COILS MELTED. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT ABILITY TO DRIVE MY CAR FOR 4 WEEKS NOW. PLEASE PUT A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM !

iv been having problems with my vehicle since March 1st been to 3-4 shops one let me know my car is doing everything in the recall for fuel problems stalls out on me while I'm driving and when it gets to under half way mark on gas gage it's like there is no gas in it crystler in auburn ny is no help they keep giving my car back when I tell them whats wrong and giving me the run around iv spent 3000 already to fix the problem they are not fixing it I keep stalling out while driving
THE HEADREST OF MY SEAT POPPED OUT WHILE DRIVING AND FORCEFULLY HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD. THE OCCURRENCE WAS RANDOM AND HAPPENED DANGEROUSLY WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. LUCKILY I WASN'T SEVERELY HARMED IN THE PROCESS HOWEVER I DO IMAGINE THAT A DRIVER CAN POTENTIALLY BE HARMED SEVERELY WITHIN THIS OCCURRENCE. I FELT AS IF I WAS PUNCHED IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD WITH BRUTE FORCE
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CAR ON CRUISE AT ABOUT 60MPH THE RPMS SUDDENLY DROPPED TO ZERO AND THE CAR DECELERATED TO A STOP. WHEN I RESTARTED I WENT ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE BEFORE IT TURN OFF AGAIN. THEN ON ATTEMPTING TO TURN OVER AGAIN IT WOULD NOT START. AFTER COOLING DOWN (IN THE TURN LANE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY) FOR ABOUT SIX MINUTES IT FINALLY STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO A PARKING LOT.
CAR LOSS ALL POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN A CITY STREET IN MOTION COULD NOT STEER OR DO NOTHING WOULD NOT CRANK UP AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES IT STARTED RIGHT UP.THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES WHILE DRIVING VERY DANGEROUS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT A YEAR. THE LAST TIME IT DID THIS IS FEBRUARY 18, 2021.
VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLS DURING OPERATION. THIS OCCURRED AT AN INTERSTATE INTERSECTION. IT CAN OCCUR AT RANDOM TIMES AND THROWS NO CODE. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS DEFECT IN THESE VEHICLES.
MY 2013 CHRYSLER 200 STALLS INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. SOMETIME AT STOP LIGHT OR WHEN DECELERATING. HAVE DRIVEN THROUGH A INTERSECTION TO SEE IT STALL. HAVE TO THEN STOP. PUT INTO PARK AND RESTART. VERY SCARY.
I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 3 YEARS. A YEAR AFTER OWNING IT I BEGAN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN WHILE DRIVING. IT IS RANDOM AND HAPPENS WITH NO WARNING, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY INDICATION THAT IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. IT HAS HAPPENED IN TRAFFIC WHERE I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI BECAUSE WHEN THE ENGINE DIES I LOSE POWER STEERING AND CAN'T GET IT OFF THE ROAD. SOMETIMES IT WILL RESTART RIGHT AWAY OTHER TIMES IT TAKES AN HOUR OR MORE. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS. MOST COMMONLY IT HAPPEN WHEN I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND THEN REAPPLY, LIKE SLOWING DOWN FOR A CAR TURNING IN FRONT OF ME, TAKING A TURN AND TAKING AN EXIT RAMP. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES OVER THE LAST COUPLE YEARS. I HAVE HAD IT AT A DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAN'T DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM OR RECOMMEND A FIX. I HAVE ALSO BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND I WOULD JUST HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR AND TAKE IT BACK IN IF THE PROBLEM WORSENS. THAT IS NOT AN OPTION BECAUSE IT IS EITHER GOING TO GET ME STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD OR IN AN ACCIDENT.
MY CAR HAS JUST UNDER 50,000 MILES ON IT AND IS WELL MAINTAINED. TWICE IN THE PAST WEEK, THE ENGINE HAS STALLED WHILE COMING TO A STOP AT THE EXACT SAME STOP SIGN. THERE IS NO WARNING PRIOR, DURING, OR AFTER. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND IT HAS STARTED RIGHT BACK UP.
THIS IS MY SECOND COMPLIANT, THOUGH I SHOULD'VE BEEN COMPLAINING SINCE BUYING THIS VEHICLE IN JUNE 2016. MY CAR WOULDN'T START AND THE ENGINE WOULD STALL, NO BATTERY ISSUE. ALL OF A SUDDEN A MONTH LATER IT STARTED. I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC HE SAID THE ENGINE LIGHT SAID A CATALYTIC CONVERTER...BUT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER DOES NOT NEED REPLACED. I HAVE HAVE MY SERPENTINE BELT REPLACED 7 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 YEARS. I CAN HEAR MY ENGINE SHIFTING ROUGHLY. IN THE MONTH I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND WHY MY RPM WAS GOING UP WHEN PARKED AND THE ENGINE WOULD STALL. THEY TOLD ME IF I DIDN'T USE THE DIFFERENT FUEL (WHICH I ONLY DID TWICE) THAT IT WOULD STOP. I WAS STUCK WITH THE CAR, AND STILL AM. MY 'GAS CAP' LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING ON AND OFF FOR YEARS. I HAD MY FUEL SYSTEM CHECKED AND A VALVE WAS REPLACED, SENSORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. MY ENGINE NOW SOUNDS WORSE THAN EVER WITH KNOCKING, WHIRRING AND SHAKES ALMOST ALWAYS. I'M TOLD THERE IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND/OR THE ENGINE TENSIONER BUT NO ONE CAN TRULY PINPOINT THE ISSUE....IT'S EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING. PLEASE RECALL THIS LEMON. I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE POSSIBLE TO NEVER BUY THIS BRAND OF VEHICLE. THIS PURCHASE WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.
I HAVE 3 CHRYSLER VEHICLES AND EVERY ONE HAS HAD THE HEATER CORE GO BAD! LAST YEAR IT WAS OUR 2013 DODGE AVENGER. NOW IT IS THE 2013 AND 2014 CHRYSLER 200'S WE OWN. THE HEAT STOPPED WORKING IN ALL 3 OF THESE VEHICLES...ALL WITHIN 1 YEAR OF EACHOTHER. THERE HAS TO BE SOME SORT OF DEFECT IN ORDER FOR THE SAME THING TO HAPPEN TO ALL 3 OF THESE CHRYSLERS. I WANTED TO REPORT THIS IF YOU KEEP ANY SORT OF RECORD OF COMPLAINTS AT ALL IN HOPE OF GETTING A RECALL MADE ON THIS. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS JUST SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE IN MOTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 TIMES. DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SPEED YOU ARE GOING, THE ENGINE WILL JUST SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENTS WERE ON A HIGHWAY GOING AROUND 55MPH AND HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN A 8 MINUTE PERIOD. THE FIRST TIME WAS GOING OVER A BRIDGE AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. WAITED ABOUT 3 MINUTES AND THE CAR STARTED. 5 MINUTES LATER THE CAR SHUT OFF AGAIN. DID NOT RESTART FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES.
ALL OF SUDDEN I FELT A JOLT IN THE GEAR SHIFT AND THEN I LOST POWER STEERING AND I COULDN'T STEP ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE . SO I PULLED OVER THE BEST I COULD, ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 55 MPH. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON AFTER GIVING IT A COUPLE MINUTES IT WAS TURNING OVER BUT NOT TURNING ON. THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY STALLED. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. IT WAS COMPLETELY RANDOM. I HAD TO CALL FAMILY TO COME PICK ME AND MY DAUGHTER UP. AFTER A FEW HOURS WE CAME BACK A NEW TRIED IT. IT WORKED BUT AFTER DRIVING IT AN HOUR IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. I CHECKED THE RECALLS FOR MY CAR AND THEIR ISN'T, HOWEVER WHEN I READ UP ON FORUMS AND MY CAR HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS THE OTHER 2013 CHRYSLER 200S. WITH ENGINE STALLING AND GREATER POSSIBILITY OF AN ENGINE FIRE. I THINK THE MAKE AND MODEL OF THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. I HAD MY TODDLER IN THE CAR AND IT WAS FRIGHTENING. I'M DILIGENT ABOUT KEEPING UP MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLES AND IF ANY INCLINATION AND OR WARNING I WOULD'VE BEEN AT THE MECHANIC.
Car is not picking up speed when your in drive, jerks badly, cuts off in the middle of driving, keeps killing the battery, drives about 5 miles an hr the max. Car has been at the chrysler dealership for over 6 months and it is still not fixed. They are saying that it's still doing the same thing as when I brought it in. Nothing is being Done to resolve the issues
I DOING 70MPH ON THE FWY AND THE CAR JUST LOST POWER. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I HAD IT REPLACED. 1 WEEK LATER I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT START. I CALLED AAA AND WHEN THEY CAME THE CAR STARTED. THE SAME DAY I WAS ON THE FWY AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AGAIN. I WAS TERRIFIED AS A BIG RIG WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME. I CALLED THE MECHANIC AND HAD THE CAR TOWED TO HIS SHOP. HE TESTED IT AND SAID THE FUEL PUMP MUST BE BAD. WE REPLACED IT AGAIN. THE CAR SEEMED TO RUN FINE. PLEASE NOTE I ONLY DRIVE 5 TO 10 MILES A DAY. I WAS ON THE FWY AGAIN THIS WEEK AND THE ENGINE QUIT AGAIN. I WENT ONLINE TO SEE IF I WAS THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS KIND OF PROBLEM AND FOUND DOZENS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS VERY DISHARDEN TO LEARN THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THIS. I WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN 2 SERIOUS WRECKS ON THE FWY. I CALLED MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER TO BE TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. PLEASE ADVISE
AFTER MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR THE TCM, IT HAS NOT WORKED PROPERLY. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE CAR SEEMS TO SLIP INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING. I WILL BE DRIVING AND SUDDENLY THE POWER DROPS AND THEN IT POPS BACK INTO DRIVE IF YOU PRESS THE GAS HARD ENOUGH. IT'S DANGEROUS AND EMBARRASSING.
AFTER STARTING MY CAR, A LIGHT ON DASH WARNS OF A AIRBAG ISSUE. ALSO THE MENU ON THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT WORKING. IT'S ON, BUT STUCK ON THE TIRE PRESSURE SCREEN.
MY 2013 CHRYSLER 200 S KEEPS STALLING. I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY, AND HAD MY ALTERNATOR AND TRANSMISSION LOOKED AT, ALL THE TRANSMISSION SHOP FOUND WAS AN OIL PRESSURE CODE, AND THEY CLEARED IT.

FEDERAL HWY A, DELRAY BEACH, FL 33483) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE SAME DEALER AND HAD THE VEHICLE REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,220.*BF *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT HOWEVER, NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM KATY (21777 KATY FWY, KATY, TX 77450) TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE TEST WAS NOT COMPLETED DUE TO THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 153,890.
CAR SHUT DOWN WHEN SLOWING AND TURNING AND RANDOMLY. THERE IS NOT WARNING AND CAR WILL NOT IMMEDIATELY START BACK UP. MOSTLY ON CITY STREETS BUT IN TRAFFIC AREAS AND CURVED ROADS. SO WHEN TURNING LEFT AND SLOWING DOWN FOR THAT TURN IT JUST SHUTS DOWN AND I BARELY MAKE TO PULL IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED HOME WHEN IT WOULDN'T START BACK UP RIGHT AWAY. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5-6 TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE CAR FROM INSTANT AUTO.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE PASSENGER SIDE SAFETY HEADREST SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THERE WAS NO IMPACT TO THE VEHICLE WHICH WOULD CAUSE THIS. AFTER INSPECTION OF THE HEADREST I NOTICED BROKEN PIECES OF PLASTIC IN THE MECHANISM.
Engine failure, speed control doesn't work, car keeps cutting off, does not pick up speed, jerks really bad, shifts gears by it self at times, air bags are recalled, the car has been at the chrysler dealership for over 6 months they keep saying different things are wrong with it not sure completely what the issues are just know a few. I was told the car is still jerking and cutting off which was the problem when I brought the car in they are charging me almost $800 for work done and was promised the car would be fixed but the car still has the same exact issues from the moment I brought it in. And being told it is still not drivable after being worked in by Chrysler mechanics for over 6 months.
DRIVER 1 PARKED CAR IN GARAGE AFTER 2 HOUR DRIVE. DRIVER 2 ENTERED CAR ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER AND FOUND DRIVER HEADREST HAD EXPLODED IN CAR. HEADREST WAS RAISED SEVERAL INCHES HIGHER. THE PADDED PORTION WAS PUSHED FORWARD SEVERAL INCHES AND WAS SEPARATED INTO 2 PIECES EXPOSING INTERIOR OF HEADREST EXPOSED. RESETTING ONLINE STEPS FAILED - BROKEN PLASTIC PIECE EXPOSED. DEALER REPAIR ESTIMATE IS PENDING. VEHICLE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT WORKING SAFETY DEVICES. AFRAID PASSENGER SIDE WILL DO THE SAME. MY CAR WAS NOT RECALLED TO FIX THIS ISSUE IN 2017. WHY? THANKFULLY WE WEREN'T IN THE CAR WHEN THIS THING WENT OFF.
IT DIED WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY MULTIPLE TIMES. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NO WARNING AND NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. REPAIRS SOMETIMES RIGHT AWAY AND SOMETIMES AFTER AN HOUR OR MORE.
HEAD REST DEPLOYED ON IT'S OWN AND THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT, NO BAGS WERE DEPLOYED , AND THE CAR WAS PARKED . WENT TO A DEALER AND HE WAS NO HELP.THE THING IS I DID NOTHING T CAUSE IT TO DEPLOY. IF I WERE DRIVING IT WOULD HAVE CAUSE A ACCIDENT BY HITTIG MY HEAD.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKING IN A PARKING LOT, THE CONTACT WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEN THE HEADREST DEPLOYED WITHOUT AN IMPACT. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS INJURED TO THE BACK OF HER HEAD CAUSING A CONCUSSION AND WHIPLASH. THE CONTACT SOUGHT MEDICAL ATTENTION AT A HOSPITAL. THE CONTACT CALLED DAVE DENNIS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM, 4232 COLONEL GLENN HWY, DAYTON, OH 45431, AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE AND WAS QUOTED WITH A FEE FOR THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.*DT *JB
THE ACTIVE HEAD REST DEPLOYED. THE CAR WAS PARKED ALMOST A MONTH AGO IN PERFECT CONDITION, I CAME OUT TO START THE CAR AND BEFORE STARTING THE CAR I NOTICED IT WAS DEPLOYED. THE CAR WAS IN NO ACCIDENT AND WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY OF MY HOME. UPON INSPECTION THE PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE ROD BROKE INSIDE THE ACTIVE HEAD REST. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON. IT IS HIGHLY CONCERNING THAT THE HEAD REST COULD GO OFF AT ANY MINUTE DUE TO THE POOR DESIGN AND QUALITY OF THE HEADREST. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND TURNED OFF.
THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AT A RED LIGHT ON A CITY STREET, THEN RANDOMLY THE PASSENGER HEADREST AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE HEADREST EXPLODED ON THE BACK OF THE PASSENGERS HEAD AND NECK. THE DRIVER HEADREST AIR BAG AND ALL OTHER AIR BAG/ SAFETY FEATURES APPEAR TO BE INTACT AND DID NOT DEPLOY.
MY POWER WINDOWS WON'T GO UP AT TIMES. WHEN MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW ROLLS UP THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WON'T ROLL UP AND VICE VERSA. WHEN MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WORKS FINE THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW WON'T ROLL UP. THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM HAS CAUSED MY CIGARETTE LIGHTERS AND CHARGER PORTS IN MY CAR TO STOP WORKING! IT HAPPENS WHETHER SITTING STILL OR MOVING. THE WINDOW WASH THAT WINDOW CLEANER COMES OUT OF KEEPS GETTING CLOGGED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER ENTERING THE VEHICLE, HE BECAME AWARE THAT THE HEADREST WAS IN A LOWER POSITION THAN ORIGINALLY POSITIONED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LAWLEY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 1901 AZ-92, SIERRA VISTA, AZ 85635, (520) 458-8000) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEADREST RESTRAINT (AHR) DEPLOYED DESPITE THE CAR BEING PARKED AND UNOCCUPIED. THE HEADREST WAS POORLY MANUFACTURED AS A PLASTIC PIECE INSIDE THE HEADREST CRACKED AND THEREFORE JOLTED FORWARD THE HEADREST ON IT'S OWN. THE CAR WAS OTHERWISE IN GOOD CONDITION BUT THE FAULTY HEADREST PRESENTS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AS IT COULD DEPLOY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD OR COULD HAVE CAUSED NECK/HEAD TRAUMA IF A PASSENGER HAD BEEN IN THE CAR.
JUST PURCHASED THE CAR AND LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER BUYING, THE CAR SITS DEAD. NOTICED THERE WAS NO COOLANT IN THE OVERFLOW SO I ADDED COOLANT AND ONCE I GOT INTO MY VEHICLE IT HAD THE BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I DROVE IT ABOUT 2 MILES AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON, THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON BEFORE MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY DIED AND HAS NOT MOVED SINCE! I JUMPED IT BUT IT STALLED OUT BEFORE I COULD EVEN GET THE HOOD CLOSED AND DRIVE ANYWHERE. I REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT THE ISSUE HERE IS THE ALTERNATOR! WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN RECALLED YET??

MY CAR WAS PARKED AND AS I WAS ENTERING MY CAR IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND LEANED MY BACK AGAINST THE SEAT TO ADJUST MY POSITION IN THE CAR SEAT, THE HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY TO BE TOLD THE PART WAS DISCONTINUED AND NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED AS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE, SO I HAD TO PUT ZIP STRIPS ON IT SO I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND THE PART TO HAVE IT REPLACED.
REFERENCE RECALL P60 FOR ALTERNATOR DIODE ISSUE. THE COMPLAINT VEHICLE HAS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE WITH A DEAD SHORT TO GROUND CONDITION WITHIN THE ALTERNATOR. VEHICLE RUNNING WILL INTERMITTENTLY DEAD SHORT TO GROUND. THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF UNEXPECTEDLY IN THIS CONDITION AND THE BATTERY AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS COMPLETELY SHORTED AND NONFUNCTIONAL. IN THIS CONDITION I REMOVED THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION TO THE ALTERNATOR AND VOLTAGE WAS RESTORED. REPLACED THE CABLE AND OBSERVED THE SHORT CONDITION AGAIN. IT IS VERY DISTURBING THAT THE SCOPE OF THIS ISSUE WAS NOT ADEQUATELY DEFINED INITIALLY. I HAVE ESCALATED THIS TO FCA DIRECTLY AND WAS PROVIDED WITH A REFERENCE NUMBER OF: 76150991, THEY HAVE SAID THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AND THE REPAIR IS OUT-OF-POCKET UNTIL CHRYSLER ENGINEERING TO THE NHTSA MAKES A DIFFERENT DECISION. I TRULY BELIEVE THERE ARE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO WILL UNKNOWINGLY REPLACE THE BATTERY AND START DRIVING AGAIN, PUTTING THEIR LIVES AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD AT RISK.

I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY ABOUT WHY THERE WASN'T A INSPECTION STICKER ON THE WINDSHIELD AND WHY WAS THERE SOME MUCH NOISE FROM THE REAR. THE SALESMAN THEN TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A INSPECTION STICKER ON THE WINDSHIELD AND TOLD HIM THERE WASN'T AND I WAS GOING TO BRING THE CAR BACK BECAUSE IT WAS ILLEGAL TO SELL A CAR WITHOUT A INSPECTION STICKER. BUT HE REFUSED TO TAKE THE CAR BACK AND SAID TO ME IF I WAS TO BRING THE CAR BACK THAT THE POLICE WOULD THERE AND NOT TO BRING CAR BACK. I TOOK TO LOCAL GARAGE TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR BECAUSE IT WAS MAKING NOISES IN THE REAR OF CAR AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON. MY CHRYSLER 200 HAS BEEN TURNING OFF OUT OF NO WHERE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING TURNS ON. MY CARS HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING AND WHEN PUT INTO PARK. I HAD 3 RECALLS AND RECENTLY WENT TO GET THEM FIXED THINKING IT WOULD HELP , SINCE ONE OF THE RECALLS WAS REPROGRAMMING THE MAIN MODULE OF THE CAR. STILL TO THIS DAY IT TURNS OFF ON ME. JUST THE OTHER DAY I WAS IN TOWN MAKING A TURN AND IT STOPPED BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TURN. IT'S ALSO TURNED OFF ON ME MANY TIMES WHEN I'M DRIVING IN ONE DIRECTION. AFTER IT TURNS OFF I AM ABLE TO RE START IT, AND OTHER TIMES I HAVE TO WAIT SEVERAL MINUTES BEFORE I'M ABLE TO GET IT TURNED BACK ON.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE CENTER THAT THE REAR WHEELS WERE NOT ADJUSTABLE AND COULD NOT BE RE-ALIGNED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE.
