ATC TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT IS NOT SENDING POWER AND GROUND TO THE LEFT SIDE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR, SO THE HEAT AND DEFOGGER DOESN'T WORK CAUSING IT TO BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD WHEN CONDITIONS WARRANT THE DEFOGGER IS NEEDED. DURING ADVERSE WEATHER ON 8/24 (UNSEASONABLY COOL AND RAINING IN CENTRAL NC), I COULD NOT SEE THE ROAD BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD FOGGED UP AND AS NOTED, THE DEFOGGER ISN'T WORKING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS IN THE WINTER MONTHS, THE PASSENGER SIDE DEFROSTER BECAME INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 73,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
HEAT STOPPED WORKING WHICH CAUSES ME TO HAVE NO DEFROST THIS LEADS TO VISIBILITY ISSUES HAVE SEEN MANY ONLINE COMPLAINTS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
I OWN A 2014 CHRYSLER 200 AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS MALFUNCTIONED WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. THEY WOULD ONLY OPERATE ON THE HIGHEST SPEED SETTING AND WOULD INTERMITTENTLY STOP AND GO REALLY SLOW. THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORTED THAT THE CAUSE IS THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) IN WHICH CHRYSLER HAS HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REFLECTION MADE IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT THE MIRRORS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. CONDENSATION APPEARS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL DIFFERENT OPTIONS AS TO CONTROL IT USING THE DEFROST. NOTHING WORKS. WHEN I USE THE WIPERS IT JUST SMEARS THE "FOG" ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS ONE EXAMPLE IT HAPPENED AT NIGHT AFTER MY SON'S SOCCER PRACTICE WHERE I COULD HARDLY SEE OUT THE WINDOW. IT WAS 85 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND I HAD DEFROST ON AND NOTHING WAS WORKING. I HAVE TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP AND OF COURSE, THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG.
