Vehicle check engine light is constantly providing code P1065 and P1061. Have taken to the repair shop and the issue is low oil. Have to add oil between oil changes because the vehicle is consuming a lot of oil. It has been inspected with no oil leaks. Spoke with Clovis Chrysler and told vehicle is not under recall and I’m over the warranty range. Their answer is to replace engine. Chrysler needs to address this issue.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60-65 MPH on the expressway, the check engine warning light illuminated, and there was an engine misfire. The contact stated that the fuel gauge was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the radiator fan, gasket, radiator, and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact called another independent mechanic who was unable to assist. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
Car said engine was hot which it wasn't car won't move out of neutral.
I had just purchased my vehicle on 03/06/2024. A few days after purchasing my vehicle, the check engine light came on. I took it to Autozone to get the check engine light code read and see what the issue was. The code showed a cylinder 4 misfire. I purchased and replaced replaced the spark plugs, egnition coils, a sensor and cleaner for fuel injectors and throttle body. After I replaced the different parts, it was still showing the check engine light. I took it to Bi O Tires and they had the code read and told me it had a cylinder 4 misfire. They told me to take it to Tunex because they were not able to fix it there. I took it to Tunex and they did a diagnostic to see the reason it was misfiring and told me that the car wasn't misfiring and that the vehicle was fine. They turn the check engine light off and after a couple of days the check engine light came on. I took it to the Chrysler dealership to get it checked, they told me that they were going to check it and fix a recall issue on it, and that if the check engine light came on, they didn't know what to do. The check engine light is back on.
My husband and I were going to the store. We got into the car started the car, than were hear a loud pop, like a soda can exploding, than every airbag deployed
The heated seats will randomly turn on or off. They won't turn on other times and then won't turn off majority off the time.

The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle had collapsed onto the front tires. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The vehicle was later towed to the residence and was then towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic replaced the front suspension. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated while accelerating from a complete stop, the vehicle made an abnormal cackling sound and was very sluggish. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled in the middle of the road. The vehicle was able to restart after several attempts. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The air bag warning light was illuminated. dash light on saying service airbag system which causes concern if crash were to happen and airbags wouldn’t deploy!
Car dash blacks out then cuts off unexpectedly in the middle of the road even with a brand new battery
Shift performance unavailable and my steering wheel gets hard to turn and my car won’t accelerate. Sometimes won’t shift to drive & the parking break will stay on even when not pressed
When accelerating the car stalls and bogs down. Very dangerous when pulling out in traffic. Also when going downhill the engine will rev up even when brakes are applied.
Air bags need occupant classification module.air bags don't work Chrysler claims no longer make it. All wheel drive doesn't work needs a power transfer unit. Chrysler claims it's on back order with no delivery date.

The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver’s side door displayed smoke near the window. As a result, the window failed to operate. The contact turned off the vehicle, shifted into park to inspect the vehicle however, the contact stated that the vehicle failed restart. A message displayed on the instrument panel “Service Transmission” and the parking brake warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that on numerous occasions while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle failed to shift to the intended gear. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V090000 (Power Train), 15V461000 (Equipment) and 15V470000 (Electrical System). The vehicle had not yet been diagnosed or repaired. The contact was currently awaiting a tow. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 143,348.
When going a certain speed car will jerk and shift roughly into next gear, Faulty air bag system shown on dashboard. Car had been struggling to start lately went to Autozone with the check engine light now showing. Diagnostic machine advised Power Train System issues / Antilock brake system issues. Codes: P1634, U0420-00, C2101-17, & C1246-1C Mileage: 111250 upon doing my research these are common issues with this vehicle but yet no recall could be found for my specific vehicles using Vin #
The radio screen sounded as if it shorted out, went blank, and now my battery dies if I don't run my car every day. My odometer flashes and my engine light is on, but the engine codes that come up are related to the Evap. System Integrity Module, and the Active Grille Shutter that I'm sure need replacement due to age. I'm not sure if there is indeed a short, but my battery has been replaced three times (this time being the fourth) since 2019 which seems excessive leading me to believe that there may be one. When reaching out to my local dealership I am advised to bring in for them to look at which costs $150.00 just for the service department to troubleshoot. I during a previous recall I was informed that it costs $1800 to replace the radio. Upon further review I discovered that I am not the only owner with this same issue. Several owners have has this happen to their vehicles. I believe this is worth looking into.
Available upon request. Switching gears could be a hazard. Mechanic said a previous recall for issue was fixed. It has been sitting at the mechanics for 4 months. Vehicle ran fine in the morning. Went to drive and vehicle switched from park to neutral and break system lights came on. I went to try a few hours later and the car was dead and would not start. We tried to jump the car and it would not work.
1) I believe there is a problem with my transmission shifting gears. I am willing to have it inspected. 2) There is a sudden and violent shift that happens when shifting between 3rd - 5th gear I believe but it's random, only a couple of times a month. I have had people with me and they thought I hit a deep pothole or hit something with my car like a small animal. 3)The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealership. 4) My car has not been inspected by any of the above except a dealership years ago when I mentioned it but nothing was found. My car model and year have a few recalls and transmission is one but no recalls have been issued for my specific car yet. I check yearly. 5) I do not get any warning lights, messages, or symptoms, my car just violently shifts from time to time when shifting into 3rd - 5th gear. My car does sometimes get an AWD service light that comes and goes and never lasts more than a couple of days. The research I did online said that's normal for the 200 and not to worry if it doesn't stay lit. I am not sure if this is a related issue, another issue, or just a thing the 200 does as mentioned online. The car had this problem since I purchased it in 2017 but the dealership I purchased it from was in a different state so taking it back wasn't an option. I had mentioned the issue to a Chrysler dealership years ago while getting an oil change but no issue was found. 6) How fast were you going? I think it's between 3rd and 5th gear so like 25-45 mph I think. 7) About how many miles were on your vehicle at the time of the incident? My 200C has had this consistently since I got the car with around 10,000 miles and my car now has about 82,000 miles on it and just did the violent shift recently. There is no warning or pattern as to when it will happen except that it happens between 3rd-5th gear and it doesn't matter the time of the year or the weather.
The air bag light randomly comes on while I’m driving
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where it was diagnosed that the threshold, the throttle pedal sensor switch A, the transmission gear shift assembly and other unknown parts had failed. Additionally, the contact stated that vehicle had become undrivable and would not start upon pressing the Push to Start button. The message "Key Fob Not Detected" was displayed. The brake pedal and steering wheel were locked. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. An unknown used car dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the parts were not available for the repair. The Chrysler dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
Airbag light keeps appearing and the airbag is slowing coming out from under dashboard.
One day without warning (about 8/20/2023), the vehicle would not start. After too many attempts the vehicle went into a security lock out. Had a mobile locksmith come and issue 2 new key fobs, and he was able to get the car unlocked and started. Car ran fine for about 4 days and then once again would not start. Car was towed to dealership where I was advised it was a bad battery. Battery was replaced 9/6/23. No issues for just over 1.5 months. Then, without any warning, all of the lights on the dashboard lit up on 10/30/23 (everything from the battery light, to the check engine, to even the "service parking break" alert). The car even lost power steering. Luckily, I had enough time to pull into a parking lot and get the car parked in a spot. The car then lost its ability to start. Car was then towed to same repair center where they then advised me it was a bad alternator, and everything wrong was because of a Non-OEM sound system placed in the car (this was installed in June of 2020 and has run with zero issues) - they stated the alternator needed to be replaced. No mention of a bad alternator was reported in the first inspection of the same issue. Alternator was then replaced at a different repair facility. Somewhere between the two facilities, the additional sound system was disconnected from power from the car and is no longer active. It is also important to note the system is hooked up to secondary battery, not the main battery in the front of car. In all, the car went back into the first repair facility from 10/30/23, was towed to the second on 11/6/23, and was finally returned 12/12/23. Even though it was at the first repair facility for a week, no repairs were done until it was towed to the second. However, today (12/14/23) just two days after getting the car back with NO Non-OEM sound system active, I am having the exact same issues for which I initially brought it to the first repair center. All of the lights on the dash went on and I lost power steering.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the local dealer for an inspection, where it was determined that the air bag and engine warning lights were illuminated and were under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was unknown.
My vehicle has 3 recalls on it that are essential to the safety of the driver and those in the vehicle with the driver and they are refusing to cover this because I am not the original owner. I feel like this is not right considering that this is a Chrysler issue and they should be responsible for it. The car cuts off without warning due to the recall issue I could be on the highway, in a parking lot or just cruising in my neighborhood and it cuts off,
Put a full tank of gas in car and when I got home I noticed that there was a fuel leak on the tank
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle briefly shifted into neutral before shifting back into drive. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was unable to diagnose the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V529000 (Power Train), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 149,000.
Vehicle directional system indicates that vehicle is traveling in the opposite direction of actual movement. ie: indicates vehicle is traveling north when the vehicle is actually traveling south; west when actually traveling east; south when traveling north; east when actually traveling west You may think this is not a safety issue but if a driver goes by the vehicles indicated path of direction (especially at night), the driver could end up in an isolated/unpopulated area at a time when their vehicle requires gas, the driver requires emergency services, etc. In addition to being an inconvenience (adding miles/hours of travel to a drivers trip), this could be a safety issue/dangerous =>place a driver in an unsafe area/neighborhood &/or in an area with no services/facilitates to purchase gasoline, etc. ...have the driver-in an unfamiliar area-going in the opposite direction of emergency services/hospitals, etc. ...I recently purchased a used 2015 Chrysler 200 for a trip from AZ to NE NV. I embarked on my trip within a week of purchasing the vehicle. My departing had been delayed by the need to purchase medication to relieve my service dogs travel related anxiety. I had no time to become familiar with my newly purchased vehicle. Driving through Las Vegas, my vehicles navigation indicated I was driving south - when I needed to be driving north. I am unfamiliar with Las Vegas. I did not know if I was actually driving in the direction I needed to be traveling => north. The following day, driving during a moonless night, I was completely disoriented and became lost while following the direction my vehicle indicated I was traveling. For 2 hours I traveled in a direction that I believed to be north (my vehicle indicated I was traveling north). It was pitch black. I ended up in the middle of nowhere...I did not know where I was. I backtracked to a town I had passed through =>where I could get a motel and fuel... Navigation software error/malfunction
I was driving down the road and my car stalled and completely shut off power steering went out as well come to find out it had a recall for the issue but cannot seem to see if it was ever fixed and can not see that it fixed or not or if it would be covered under the recall as it was recalled in 2015
Airbag light stays on Transmission service light comes on when driving and vehicle stalls
Any time I am coming to a stop from 40/45 mph the car would accelerate although I am breaking! This is not safe. It happens randomly while driving I could be in traffic and it will accelerate soon as I put my foot on the break.
After reversing and car is put into drive it shuts off or jerks forward and accelerates. If car tank is filled car will shut off after attempting to drive it. Will shut off during driving.
I was barely coming off of the freeway during traffic hour when my dashboard randomly indicated to shift into parking gear, which I did, and then the car turned off on me right before at the top of a downhill. I couldn't shift into neutral and couldn't get the car to turn back on. There I was in the hot weather with a car in the middle of the road right off of the freeway exit without a clue as to what happened. I had to get towed and the vehicle is now at the dealer; they won't be able to take a look at it until 5 days after the occurrence.
Son was driving car and pulled out of gas station and heard a loud "bang" from under the hood and the car immediately died and he had to coast into a safe spot off of the street. Check Engine light came on and message "Service Transmission". Will not move forward now and whirring noise when placed into Drive. Towed to transmission shop that said there were several Transmission codes (TCM Monitor Processing and TCM Failure Undetected). The car has 59000 miles on it and the transmission needs replacing. Similar to other complaints seen on here for the 2015 Chrysler 200.
On 5/8 a conversation took place with a Chrysler Customer Service representative which was recorded. The representative acknowledged that the TCM going out is common due to the Transaxle Control Harness recall. The representative acknowledged this has not become a recall yet but this is a known problem and issue with the vehicles.

The vehicle lost power and completely shut down while driving. I was unable to turn on emergency flashers or move the vehicle out of the street. There was no warning or indication lights on. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and a private mechanic and they were unable to diagnose problem. After disengaging the battery and waiting about an hour, then reengaging battery, all power comes back on. I have had six incidents of this happening and two of the incidents were while driving, putting me at risk of being struck by another vehicle.
