I WAS DRIVING AT 60 MILES AN HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY, AND MY FRONT RIGHT PASSENGER RIM SNAPPED IN HALF ALL THE WAY AROUND THE WELD LINE.
THE ENGINE MAKE A LOUD NOISE SOUNDS SO BIZARRE I'VE TOOK IT TO SEVERAL MECHANIC SHOPS BUT THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T DETECT THE ISSUE.
MY 2016 CHRYSLER 200 WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW, HAS ONLY 15000 MILES. WHEN PULLING INTO TRAFFIC THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF. DASHBOARD PROMPT SAYS PUT IN PARK TO START.CAR WON'T START UNTIL AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS AND IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND SEVERAL NEAR MISSED REAR ENDERS CAR STARTED BUT STUTTERING AND NO POWER. FINALLY AFTER SITTING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC FOR 5 OR 10 MINUTES ENGINE SMOOTHED OUT. NO WARNING AT ALL. EXTREMELY SCARY AND DANGEROUS, BOTH TIMES CAR WAS IN MOTION TURNING ONTO A BUSY STREET IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF FOR NO REASON. DEALERSHIP SAID OIL CHANGE WAS NEEDED BUT OIL LIFE GAUGE SAID 51% AND OIL CHANGE WASN'T DUE FOR ANOTHER 500 MILES.TECH.AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A SAFETY FEATURE. I DON'T SEE ANYTHING SAFE ABOUT THE ENGINE SHUTTING OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. VERY UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS. SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS BEFORE SOMEONE HURT OR KILLED.
WHEN VEHICLE NEED SMALL MAINTENANCE SUCH AS OIL CHANGE OR SYSTEM UPDATE, VEHICLE ELECTRIC (COMPUTER SYSTEM) SHUTS DOWN NOT ALLOWING DRIVER TO EVEN TURN ON HAZARDS ON. VEHICLE HAS TO TOWED TO SHOP.
ON JANUARY 13TH 2018 AT 5AM IN THE MORNING THE CAR WENT INTO A STATE OF EMERGENCY TO WHERE I COULDNT EVEN BREAK AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT THEN CAME ON AND THE CAR WOULDNT CUT OFF FOR HOURS. TOOK THE CAR TO RUSS DARROW CHRYSLER FOR SUSPENSIONS ISSUES AND ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS BECAUSE THEY COULDNT LOCATE ANY CODES FOR WHAT I HAD SAW ON THE CAR. ALTHOUGH MY CAR WAS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST I HAD THE SAME ISSUES THAT OTHER CARS THIS TYPE DID HAVE AND IT COSTED ME $2989 FOR REPAIRS
SINCE I'VE BOUGHT THE CAR, UPON ACCELERATING, STOPPING, PRETTY MUCH DOING ANY DRIVING THE CAR WILL BUBBLE UNDER AND JERK AS IF YOU'RE MANUALLY SWITCHING SHIFTS. IT HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE 2 YEARS I'VE OWNED THIS CAR AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO HELP BECAUSE THERE'S NO "CODE" THAT FINDS THE PROBLEM. MY CAR ALSO, WILL LOCK THE WHEEL WHILE I'M DRIVING, LOCK THE BRAKE AND GAS AND TURN COMPLETELY OFF AS IF THE BATTERY DIED AND I CAN'T PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL OR ANYTHING SINCE IT IS LOCKED. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED MY TO BE IN MULTIPLE VEHICLE CRASHES. THE CAR IS NOW SHAKING AND STILL HAVING A BUBBLY FEEL UNDER THE CAR AS IF IT'S HAVING A HARD TIME STARTING UP WHILE I'M DRIVING.
"TAKATA RECALL" I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JULY 2016. IN NOVEMBER 2017, THE VEHICLE BEGAN STALLING AND SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY WHILE I WAS DRIVING. IT LOSES POWER AND A THE SCREEN TELLS ME TO SHIFT TO P TO START VEHICLE. SOMETIMES IT WOULD START RIGHT AWAY, OTHER TIMES IT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL TRIES FOR IT TO RESTART. THERE WAS NO SPECIFIC TIME WHEN IT WOULD OCCUR. I COULD JUST BE PULLING OUT OF PARKING SPACE OR COMING OFF THE EXPRESSWAY AFTER DRIVING 30 MILES OR SO. IT WOULD HAPPEN WHEN I WAS TURNING LEFT, RIGHT OR GOING STRAIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A THROTTLE SERVICE THAT, OF COURSE, WAS NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY. THEY SAID THAT THEY "RECOMMEND" A THROTTLE SERVICE EVERY 25,000 TO 30,000 MILES. I WAS AT 38,000 MILES. A RECOMMENDED SERVICE SHOULD NOT CAUSE YOUR VEHICLE TO COMPLETELY CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. SO, I PAID $184.00 FOR THE THROTTLE SERVICE. THREE DAYS LATER, THE VEHICLE STARTED JERKING TERRIBLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING, PARKING, REVERSING, ETC. THE RPM DIAL WOULD SPIKE UP TO 3.5 OR SO, BUT IT WAS CONSTANTLY JERKING WHILE DRIVING. IT FELT LIKE I WAS DRIVING OVER A LARGE GRAVELED ROAD THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS DRIVING. I TOOK THE CAR BACK IN TO THE DEALER AND WAS INITIALLY TOLD THAT IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION WHICH WAS COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. HOWEVER, AFTER I LEFT THE VEHICLE, I WAS CALLED AND TOLD THAT IT WAS NOT MY TRANSMISSION, BUT IT WAS A BAD COIL AND SPARK PLUG. THIS, OF COURSE, WAS NOT COVERED BY MY WARRANTY. I WAS CHARGED $443 FOR THIS. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING TO SEE WHAT GOES WRONG NEXT. AS I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FROM THE DEALERSHIP FOR 2 DAYS NOW.
CAR KEEPS SHUTTING OFF RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. CAR IS AT 36738 MILES. I WAS MID TURN AND CAR JUST CUT OFF AND SYSTEM SHUT DOWN. COULD HAVE BEEN HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES BUT THEY HAD ENOUGH TIME TO GO AROUND CAR STALLED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD. PUT CAR IN PARK AND TRIED TO RESTART 3 TIMES BEFORE IT CAME BACK ON.
AFTER A WEEK OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS PURCHASED FROM ENTERPRISE, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME OWN WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY FAMILY (WIFE AND YEAR TEN MONTH BABE). WE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND SCHEDULED AND APPOINTMENT. TURNS OUT THE BATTERY WAS DEAD. GOT THAT FIX AND THEN WHILE DRIVING BACK HOME ON THE HIGHWAY MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AS WELL. AT THE MOMENT THE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND WAITING TO GET MY CAR IN TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CHRYSLER, EVEN THOUGH IT'S A NEW CAR, BUT I NEED TO GET TO WORK AND A BUS CAN'T GET ME THERE. I HOPE THIS IS A SMALL FIX AND I CAN HAVE MY AIRBAG SYSTEM WORKING AGAIN. I WOULD FEEL SAFE. I HAVE READ AND HEAR SIMILAR COMPLAINTS OF NEW OWNERS WITH THE THE ISSUES AND DEALERSHIPS REFUSING TO SERVICE THE WORK, EVEN ON CARS WITH 30,000 MILES. PLEASE HAVE THIS LOOKED AT OR INVESTIGATED, IT WOULD BE A SHAME IF SOMETHING HAPPENS.
"TAKATA RECALL" THE DASH BOARD IS FLASHING A MESSAGE THAT THIERS A ISSUE WITH THE AIR BAGS AND TO SCHEDULE A APPOINTMENT. THE MESSAGE WOULD FLASH DURING THE VEHICLE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY.
THE CAR FIRST STARTED OFF WITH THE SCREEN TURNING ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING..WE DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF IT HOWEVER A FEW MONTH AGO THE CAR BEGAN TO TURN OFF IN THE MIDST OF DRIVING. BEFORE TURING OFF THE CAR WOULD BEGIN TO YANK AS IF RESISTING. WE PROCEEDED WITH PURCHASING A NEW BATTERY. THAT WAS 4 MONTH AGO. WE ARE NOW HERE 12/2018 AND THE CAR HAS ONCE AGAIN STARTED TO YANK WHILE DRIVING, TURN OFF WHEN GOING 10-40 MPH AND NOW HAS THE CHECK ENGINE, TRACTION AND VOLTAGE LIGHT FLASHING. ONCE IT IS TURNED OFF AND TURNED BACK ON AFTER A FEW MINS. IT'S AS IF NOTHING EVER HAPPENED. ALL THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN CITY STREET AND TURNING.
WE OWN A 2016 CHRYSLER 200 WITH A 4 CYLINDER ENGINE THAT IS BURNING ONE QUART OF OIL EVERY 750 MILES. WE ARE TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT CHRYSLER ENGINEERS SAY IT IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THAT ENGINE TO USE A QUART OF OIL IN 750 TO 1000 MILES. THE ENGINE HAS DONE THIS SINCE IT WAS NEW. THEY REPLACED FOULED SPARK PLUGS AND EVEN COMPLETE CYLINDERS ON THE CAR. THE LAST TIME MY WIFE WAITED UNTIL THE RECOMMENDED OIL CHANGE IT HAD USED 5 QUARTS. THE DEALER IS STILL GIVING US THE RUN AROUND AS IS MR STANDER AT CHRYSLER USA AND SERGIO MARCHIONI WHO CALLED THE DESIGNERS OF THE ENGINE 'DUMMIES'. RECALL THESE CARS NOW
AT 49,500 MILES MY 2016 CHRYSLER 200 "SERVICE AIR BAG" CAME UP ON THE PANEL. THE DEALER STATES THAT IT IS A PASSENGER SIDE HARNESS AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT IS NOT PART OF ANY RECALL AND NOT PART OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PURCHASED. HOW DOES AN AIRBAG HARNESS FAIL IN 2 YEARS. SOUND MORE LIKE A DEFECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITHOUT WARNING THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSUMED AN ABNORMAL AMOUNT OF ENGINE OIL AFTER EACH OIL CHANGE. JEFF D'AMBROSIO DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP DOWNINGTOWN 1221 E LANCASTER AVE, DOWNINGTOWN, PA 19335, WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED UNLESS THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED SIMILAR INFORMATION AS THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY CAR CONTINUES TO STALL WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS, LOCKING EVERYTHING UP. I HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. PRESS THE STOP ENGINE BUTTON, PLACE MY FOOT IN THE BRAKE, PRESS THE START BUTTON,THE ENGINE WHINES, TRIES TO START, WINDS AGAIN THEN CHUGS A FEW TIMES. AFTER DOING THIS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, THE CAR WILL EVENTUALLY START. JUST TO DO IT AGAIN. WHEN I BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE DEALER, THEY TOLD MY CAR WAS "ALMOST OUT OF OIL" AFTER WHICH THEY HAD DONE THE LAST OIL CHANGE CLAIMING TO HAVE USED SYNTHETIC OIL. IF THAT WAS THE CASE, HOW DOES A 2016 CAR BURN 4-5 QUARTS OF SYNTHETIC OIL AND THEM NOT BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHY. I SEE THE RECALL FOR 2015 200'S MATCHING EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY 2016.
THE ENGINE IN OUR CHRYSLER 200 LOSES OIL AT AN ALARMING RATE. THE CAR EVENTUALLY STALLS AND WILL NOT RESTART. WE ARE TOLD EVERY TIME 'NO OIL SHOWS ON THE DIPSTICK. IT IS AGAIN IN THE SHOP HAVING BEEN TOWED THERE BECAUSE IT LOST SO MUCH OIL IT WOULD NOT START. THE DEALER IS DEFIANT BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT HAS REFUSED TO ACT AND RECALL THE 2016 FOR THE SAME REASONS THAT PROMPTED A RECALL OF THE 2015 CHRYSLER 200. IS IT GOING TO TAKE CONSUMER FATALITIES BEFORE THE NHSTA ACTS. TECALL THESE CARS NOW !
MY 200 VEHICLE SHOWED AN AIR BAG LIGHT 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE, ABOUT MAY, 2016. THEN THE VEHICLE WAS NOT RECALLED SO I IGNORED IT. THE OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALER AFTER MAY, 2016 DATE FAILED TO ADDRESS THE LIGHT. IT REMAINS ON TO THIS DATE. REPAIR ON TIRE THAT SHOWED A LIGHT WAS REFUSED ON JUNE 7, 2017. THIS TIRE LIGHT REMAINS A PROBLEM. NOW, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT GO UPHILL WITHOUT STALLING AND WILL NOT RUN WHEN IT RAINS. THE FUEL SEEMS TO BE BLOCKED BECAUSE I KEEP PUMPING THE GAS TO GO UPHILL AFTER IT STALLS. THE CAR CUTS OFF WHEN I MAKE LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS. NOW, I WARM THE VEHICLE FOR 10 MINUTES TO SHOW THE ENGINE IS READY. THE ENGINE LIGHT HAS COME ON FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. I FAILED EMISSION TESTING IN SEPT. 2019. THE TUNE UP DONE THIS MONTH DID NOT HELP. THE ENGINE LIGHT AND OTHER MATTERS CAUSED THE EMISSION TESTING TO FAIL. MY COMPLAINT IS DIRECTED TO THE GAS PROBLEM, AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL DASHBOARD PROBLEM FOR THE PAST YEAR ALONG WITH THE TIRE LIGHT.
ON HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 70 MPH. LIGHT CAME ON SAYING POWER STEERING NOT WORKING. KEEPS GOING IN & OUT. HARD TO STEER WHEN LIGHT COMES ON. LIGHT GOES OUT & STEERING IS FINE. DOES THIS IN TOWN TOO.
WHEN SERVICE SHIFTER LIGHT COMES ON THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGES, IT HAPPENED TO ME WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT. I SEE THE SAFETY ISSUE OF IT NOW WHEN I SEEN THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO A 2017 JEEP WHILE THEY WERE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE
VEHICLE IS STALLING, COMPLETELY SHUTTING OFF, LOSING POWER WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS DONE IT AS 20MPH, 45MPH, GOING STRAIGHT, TURNING LEFT, TURNING RIGHT. THERE IS NO NOTIFICATION THAT THIS IS HAPPENING. THE ONLY THING I CAN TELL IT'S HAPPENING IS IT LOOSES POWER, STEERING LOCKS UP AND THE CAR DASH SAYS "SHIFT TO P TO START VEHICLE". WHEN I DO THAT, THE CAR TAKES AT LEAST 30-456 SECONDS TO COMPLETELY START BACK UP AND RUNNING. IT ACTS LIKE IT DOES NOT WANT TO START BACK UP. I HAVE TRAVELLED COUNTY ROADS, CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND IT HAS DONE IT ON EACH ONE OF THEM. THIS IS NOT OK AND SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE BLOWN OFF WITH NO RECALL. I HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN THAT IS 99.9% OF THE TIME IN THE CAR WITH ME. I CAN NOT HAVE THIS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN WITH NOTHING BEING DONE OR RESOLVED OF THIS. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO 2 DIFFERENT CHRYSLER DEALERS AND THEY CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH IT BECAUSE THE CAR IS NOT THROWING ANY CODES WHEN IT HAPPENS. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, NOTHING.
THE GAS NEEDLE ON MY CAR IS STUCK OR JUST NOT WORKING. I CAN FILL THE TANK AND IT STILL SAYS IT'S ALMOST EMPTY AND IT SKIPS.
I've had several issues with the airbag warning light coming on telling me to service the airbag. While the car was covered under the warranty the dealership replaced the part at least three times and eventually told me to stop digging under my driver seat as the wiring harness for the air bags was located there. As anyone with kids may know that isn't the easiest thing to do. Bit even more alarming is the fact that if there is an accident my airbags may malfunction since the warning light is on. And the cost to get it fixed it way to high for me to pay especially knowing that it's just going to happen again in a few months since it's already been replaced a number of times.
WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN GOING BETWEEN 15 TO 20 MPH AND THE VEHICLE JUST DIED OUT IN THE TURNING PROCESS.WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS

AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE AND THEN LANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, CAUSING THE AXLE TO DETACH. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KENDALL DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP (13355 S W 137TH AVE, MIAMI, FL 33186, PHONE NUMBER: (786) 231-2000), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT AN INVESTIGATION WAS CONDUCTED AND DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000.

THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO HINSEY'S WRECKER SERVICES (LOCATED AT 2416 CASS ST, FORT WAYNE, IN 46808; (260) 483-4913). AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A CONTUSION OF THE NECK, FINGER, AND CHEST WALL, AN ABRASION OF THE LEFT THUMB, AND A PARESTHESIA OF THE UPPER EXTREMITY. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE TRAVELING 45 MPH, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO THE PRECEDING VEHICLE THAT HAD A TRAILER HITCH. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED NECK PAINS, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL TREATMENT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A YARD AND INSPECTED BY A REPAIR FACILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TOWED TO BAY DODGE, 634 W 15TH ST, PANAMA CITY, FL 32401, 850-819-7615). THE MANUFACTURER SENT A TECHNICIAN WHO INDICATED THAT THE IMPACT DID NOT WARRANT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, STATED THAT THERE WERE NO AIR BAG RECALLS, AND DID NOT PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF *TR
THE DASH BOARD HAS BEEN SHOWING SINCE 2017 -2018 "SERVICE AIRBAB SYSTEEM WITH THE RED AIRBAG SIGN LIT. THE SIGN COMES AND GOES. IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALERS 3 TIMES AND NOT CORRECTED. CHRYSLER HAS BEEN CALLED AT THE 18008531403 NUMBER. NOW THE DEALER WANT TO CHARGE ME SINCE IT IS 2,OOO MILES OVER WARRANTY FOR THIS DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. THE BUILD DATE OF THIS VEHICLE IS AUGUST 18, 2015. THERE WAS A RECALL WITH SAME ISSUE FOR BUILD DATES APRIL 7, 2014 TO AUGUST 3, 2015. THIS IS UNFAIR SINCE THIS CAR WAS BUIILT DURING THE TIME . A RECALL IS NECESSARY ON THESE CARS TOO! THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR MY FAMILY. THE COST SHOULD BE BORN BY CHRYSLER.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000. Dealer has fixed the problem (supposedly) concerning the computer malfunctions. Now there is an air bag problem which will be taken to the dealer Friday. Transmission continues to jolt and almost stall out.

I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN 6/19/17 AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER A FEW RIDES I FAULT WITH THE DEALER ABOUT MY AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY AIRBAG WIRING HARNESS AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED UNDER BOTH SEATS BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THERE IS NO WAY I WAS PAYING FOR THIS WHEN THE CAR WAS PRACTICALLY NEW ONLY APPROXIMATELY 42502 MILES AND I WAS HAVING ONGOING ISSUES WITH MY AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON. WELL NOW I AM REALLY FEELING LIKE THIS RECALL IS LARGER THAN IT IS PRESENTED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WHEN I GET THINGS DONE TO MY VEHICLE. SUCH AS MY TRANSMISSION NEEDING SERVICE, THE MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT, THE ABS, THE TRACTION, AND ELECTRONIC PARK BRAKE FAILURE. ALL THESE LIGHTS CAME ON JUST FROM REPLACING A HUB (BEARINGS) ON MY PASSENGER SIDE. MY MAIN COMPLAINT IS ON THE AIR BAG ISSUE. I JUST WANT TO VOICE MY FRUSTRATION WHEN MULTIPLE PEOPLE TELL ME THEY DO NOT KNOW WHY MY VEHICLE IS GIVING ME THESE NOTIFICATIONS.
MY 2016 CHRYSLER 200 HAS DETECTED AN ISSUE THAT REQUIRES YOUR ATTENTION. IT HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE 2017.. THE VEHICLE'S AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT RECENTLY INDICATED THE AIR BAG SYSTEM MAY NOT BE WORKING PROPERLY. THE AIRBAGS IN VEHICLE MIGHT NOT INFLATE IN A COLLISION, OR THEY COULD INFLATE WITHOUT A COLLISION IF I DO NOT GET THE REQUIRED SERVICE. THIS PROBLEM STARTED OVER A YEAR AGO AND I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND REPAIR SHOP, AND IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT WORLDWIDE. THIS AIRBAG ISSUE CONTINUES AND I AM ASKED TO PAY JUST TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT EVERYTIME! I DO NOT HAVE THE $150 JUST TO SEARCH THE VEHICLE TECH SYSTEM WHEN BEING CHECKED AT THE DEALERSHIP. AIR BAGS
TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND CAN'T SEEM TO GET INTO GEAR WHILE DRIVING AND GETTING TO FREEWAY SPEEDS CAN'T REACH A MAX OF 55MPH. HAVE HAD THE CAR COMPLETELY STALL OUT ON THE FREEWAY AND PUT ITSELF INTO "NEAUTRAL" WHILE AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. MAINTENANCE AIRBAG LIGHTS FREQUENTLY COMING ON. CHRYSLER CAN'T SEEM TO FIND A FIX TO THE ISSUE ON WHY THIS CAR IS DOING WHAT IT HAS BEEN. WE PURCHASED A 2016 CHRYSLER 200 ON MARCH 11, 2017. ON APRIL 21, 2017, WE NOTICED AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE SPECIFICALLY WITH INSTABILITY IN THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE AS WE WERE DRIVING IT. IT FELT AS IF THE TIRE WAS GOING TO FALL OFF. WE CALLED A TOW TRUCK ON APRIL 22, 2017 TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO SOUTHFORK CHRYSLER DODGE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR REPAIR. IT WAS NOTED THAT THREE LUG NUTS WERE MISSING FROM THE TIRE. THE REPAIR SHOP NOTED THAT WHEEL HUB, WHEELS HAVE BEEN OB-LONGED DO TO THE VEHICLE ONLY HAVING A TOTAL OF TWO LUG NUTS IN PLACE THAT HAPPEN TO BE SLIGHTLY LOOSE AS WELL, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO HAVE A VIBRATION ON THE DRIVER FRONT WHEEL. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORK DONE TO THE TIRES OR CAR SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED ONLY SIX WEEKS PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT. THE CAR ONLY HAS 21,428 MILES.
