THE VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO OWNERS IN THE SAME FAMILY AND HAS VERY LOW MILEAGE (66000). THE ISSUE BEGAN IN OCTOBER OF 2018. WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AT 40 MPH THE INDICATORS ON THE DASH BEGAN FLICKERING AND MAKING NOISE. THIS CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY FOR THREE MONTHS BUT COULD NOT BE REPLICATED AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THEN IN JANUARY OF 2019 WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED EXCEPT THIS TIME THERE THE SPEEDOMETER WENT TO 0 BUT THE CAR COULD STILL BE OPERATED. THE CAR WAS TAKEN INTO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ATTEMPTED TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE FOR OVER A MONTH BUT HAD NO LUCK. AS INSTRUCTED BY THE MECHANIC THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2006. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE CAR FOR 6 DAYS IN FEBRUARY OF 2019 AND COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE, CHARGING THE OWNER A $240 FEE FOR NOTHING. AS SOON AS THE OWNER LEFT THE DEALERSHIP THE CAR AGAIN EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT IMMEDIATELY TO THE OWNERS PERSONAL MECHANIC WHO HAS HAD THE CAR EVER SINCE. THE MECHANIC HAS SINCE BROUGHT THE CAR TO ANOTHER DODGE/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN TOWN WHO CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $600 ENDING IN NO DIAGNOSIS. THE CAR IS UNABLE TO PASS SMOG AS NOW THE PROBLEM OCCURS MORE FREQUENTLY AND IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE SEEN THIS COMPLAINT SEVERAL TIMES ONLINE AND IT WOULD SEEM TO ME THAT CHRYSLER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING OR COMPENSATING THE OWNERS FOR AN OBVIOUS MECHANICAL ISSUE.

CAR ROLLS BACKWARD ON HILLS WITH TRANSMISSION IN DRIVE POSITION.
WHILE I WAS AT A RED LIGHT TO MAKE A U TURN MY CAR WAS RUNING JUST FINE , I PROCEDED TO MAKE MY U TURN HALF WAY THROUGH MY CARS ENGINE COMPLETE SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING OR KNOWLEDGE THAT IT DID DUE TO EVERYTHING ELSE WORKING JUST FINE IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AT THAT POINT MY STEERING WHEEL GOT HARD AND I HAD TO PUSH IT OUT OF TRAFFIC. DID NOT FEEL SAFE THAT MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING I HAD MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR THANKFULLY IT DID NOT RESULT TO ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURIES BUT IT COULD HAVE. AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR AT ALL AT THE MOMENT.
DROVE THE MORNING OF (7/22/18) , PARKED CAR , 2 HOURS LATER HAD TO RUN SOME ERANDS , SHIFT WOULD NOT MOVE , LOCKED IN PARK.. HAD CAR TOWED TO SHOP , PART BEING ORDERED WILL TAKE THREE DAYS , APPROXIMATE COST TO REPAIR 550.00 , MILEAGE 46700 . NEED TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT
CAME OUT OF THE STORE TO START THE CAR. IT WOULDN'T START. ENGINE MADE A COINS SHAKING IN CAN NOISE. HAD TOWED TO A SERVICE CENTER, THEY ASKED IF IT HAD OVERHEATED, I SAID NO BECAUSE IT HADN'T SHOWN ANY SIGNS IT HAD. THEY SAID IT GOT SO HOT THINGS MELTED AND VALVE SEATS AND PISTONS WERE RUINED. I'VE READ ABOUT DODGE JEEP AND CHRYSLER HEMI 5.7S AND VALVE SEATS AND MANY PEOPLE HAD THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH NO SURE REASON AS TO WHY. I BELIEVE THERE IS SOME DEFECT IN THE ENGINE ITSELF CAUSING THIS AND EXTENDED WARRANTY'S WON'T COVER CLAIMING BECAUSE VALVE SEATS AREN'T AN INTERNALLY LUBRICATED PART OR SOME BS REASON. NEEDS IMMEDIATELY LOOKED INTO I'M ABOUT TO LOSE MY CAR OVER IT!
WHILE SITTING IN A DRIVE THRU LINE AT A LOCAL FAST FOOD ESTABLISHMENT I HEARD A LOUD BANG, THEN STEAM CAME FROM UNDER THE HOOD OF MY CAR. PULLED OVER AND PARKED. CALLED MY MECHANIC TO COME CHECK IT OUT. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE FAN MOTOR BROKE/BUSTED AND THE BEARINGS WENT THROUGH THE RADIATOR. FAN SHOURDS WE'RE ALL BROKE OFF. I HAVE LESS THEN 100,000 MILES ON MY CAR.
APRIL 23 MY BATTERY CAUGHT ON FIRE IN BLOW MY WHOLE CAR UP FIRE MARSHAL TOLD ME ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS
CAR DIES RIGHT AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, IDLING AWAY FROM THE GAS PUMP, OR STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT. LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, I WAS ALMOST HIT IN THE REAR AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THE CAR STALLED. LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM WAS A FAULTY PART THAT IS MOLDED INTO THE 19 GALLON FUEL TANK BUT SAID MY CAR WASN'T COVERED. MY MECHANIC VERIFIED THAT THE "ROLLOVER" VALVE IN THE TANK WAS INDEED FAULTY. HAVE TALKED TO CHRYSLER TWICE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE FLATLY REFUSED ANY ASSISTANCE EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREED THAT MY CAR HAS A 19 GALLON TANK. I KNOW THAT CHRYSLER HAS ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE OVER 150K OF THESE FAULTY TANKS. MINE IS FAULTY ALSO BUT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE PARKED THE CAR FOR NOW OUT OF CONCERN FOR SAFETY.
WHEN STARTING CAR (STATIONARY), THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFTER STAYS LOCKED IN "PARK" AND WILL NOT SHIFT INTO ANY OTHER GEAR AFTER STARTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE THE KEY WAS IN THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT WAS STIFF AND FAILED TO RESPOND. ALL THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THEN TOWED TO FRANKLIN SUSSEX AUTO MALL (315 ROUTE 23 NORTH, SUSSEX, NJ 07461). THE CODES WERE RESET AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH HOUSING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 139,000.
TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 40 MPH AND HAD TO COME TO BRIEF STOP AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY. I ALMOST GOT INTO A MAJOR ACCIDENT DURING TRAFFIC. NOW EVERYTIME I DRIVE THE CAR AND TRY TO BRAKE NOW IT SHAKES AND IS VERY UNSAFE. I THEN LOOKED UNDER THE CAR AND SAW THAT THE ENTIRE FRONT SUBFRAME AND ENGINE CRADLE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT TO THE POINT THAT IT MIGHT BREAK AT ANY MOMENT. I NO LONGER CAN DRIVE MY CAR SAFELY AND I NEED MY VEHICLE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK, WIFE'S WORK AND MY SONS SCHOOL. I HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID IT'S GOING TO BE VERY EXPENSIVE AND NEEDS DONE IMMEDIATELY. THEY ALSO SAID THAT THE CHRYSLER PACIFICA 2006 HAD THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND THAT THEY HAD TO BE RECALLED. MY CAR ONLY HAS 50000 MILES ON IT AND WAS GARAGE KEPT. SO I FEEL LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR. IT'S SO DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE KNOWN ABOUT. I WILL HAVE TO GET IT FIXED THIS WEEK AND IT WILL COST ME A FORTUNE. THANK YOU!
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND I HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND THE WHEELS AND THE WHOLE FRONT END STARTED SHAKING AND I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR. I LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE CAR AND NOTICED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THAT THE WHOLE SUBRAME AND MOTOR CRADLE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED. NOW MY CAR DRIVES AT MPH OVER 40 THAT THE CAR SHAKES AND WHEN I NEED TO BRAKE SUDDENLY THAT IT SHAKES HARD AND IS HARD TO CONTROL. I TOOK IT TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP AND THEY ARE GOING TO FIND THE PARTS AND REPLACE THEM. ALSO THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE LINKAGE ON SUBRAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS BROKEN AND HANGING LOWER.
TAKATA RECALL. I JUST RECEIVED A PAPER IN THE MAIL AND I'M READING IT AND IT SAYS AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. I LOOKED UP MY VEHICLE AND IT SAYS THERE WAS A RECALL FOR BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAGS. I RECENTLY JUST CRASHED MY VEHICLE AND NO AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND I TRIED TO FIGHT WITH MY DEALERSHIP ABOUT IT AND ALL THEY SAID WAS 'YOU SIGNED A PAPER KNOWING THEY DIDN'T DEPLOY', WHAT WORLD WOULD SOMEONE BUY A VEHICLE KNOWING THEY DON'T DEPLOY?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED YEMM CHEVROLET BUICK GMC CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AT (309) 271-0106 (LOCATED AT 2195 N HENDERSON ST, GALESBURG, IL 61401) AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE WITH THE TANK COMPLETELY FULL, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER (COLE CHRYSLER DODGE AT 805-540-5065) WAS CALLED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. *TT *TR
TAKATA RECALL I CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED IN THE MAIL. THE REPRESENTATIVE EXPLAINED THAT SHE NEEDED TO PLACE ME ON HOLD TO CONTACT THE DEALER IN CANTON, GA TO ENSURE THAT THEY HAD THE PARTS TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REPAIRS. ONCE SHE VERIFIED WITH THEM SHE CONNECTD ME TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WE SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT. WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE APPOINTMENT I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AND WAS GIVEN A CARD TO CALL AND SHE IF THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND RESCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT. WE CALLED FOR A WEEK AND WAS GIVEN THE RU AROUND. SO WE TRIED A DIFFEREN LOCATION. WE CALLED MARIETTA AND PROVIDE THE CONTACT INFORMATION REQUESTED. MARIETTA DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY WOULD GIVE US A CALL WHEN THE PART(S NEEDED ARE AVAILABLE...AS OF TODAY I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM EITHER DEALERSHIP AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE REPAIRS NEEDED FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, IMMEDIATELY AFTER FUELING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WITHNELL DODGE (2650 COMMERCIAL ST SE, SALEM, OR 97302 (877) 303-1959) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK MALFUNCTIONED. A PART WITHIN THE FUEL TANK NEEDED REPLACEMENT ALONG WITH THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE 2005 AND 2006 CHRYSLER 300 HAD A RECALL FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000. *TT UPDATED 9/19/18*JB
AT AROUND 106K, A VALVE SEAT BROKE AND DROPPED INTO A CYLINDER CHAMBER, DAMAGING THE CYLINDER. THE ENGINE IS A COMPLETE LOSS. NO COMPRESSION IN ONE CYLINDER AND 50 LBS DIFFERENCE IN COMPRESSION IN REMAINING SEVEN CYLINDERS. THE CAR HAD RECENTLY BEEN DRIVEN AND PARKED IN A GARAGE. ABOUT TEN MINUTES LATER IT WAS STARTED, BACKFIRED AND FAILED TO IDLE. A SCOPE DETECTED AT LEAST ONE CYLINDER WAS DAMAGED. MECHANIC ASSESSMENT: NEED A COMPLETE NEW ENGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE CONTACT WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WERE PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED PRIOR TO THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER AND AN UNKNOWN DEALER WERE NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,020.

THE VEHICLE THEN DECELERATED AND STALLED. THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING INSIDE AND OUT. I PULLED OVER TURNED CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. HAD IT JUMP STARTED AND THEN PUSH THE GAS AND CAR WOULDNT MOVE. THE IT JUMPED INTO GEAR REAL HARD AND HAS BEEN STUCK IN 2ND GEAR EVER SINCE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MOORE CHRYSLER JEEP IN PEORIA, ARIZONA 85382, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A PLUG BECAME DETACHED FROM THE FRONT ABS, WHICH CAUSED ALL OF THE BRAKE FLUID TO LEAK OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE HYDRAULIC PUMP WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000.

I HAVE CONTACTED THE RAM COUNTRY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, MINERAL WELLS 4011 US HIGHWAY 180 E. MINERAL WELLS, TX 76067-8376 940-654-3120 SEVERAL TIMES OVER ABOUT TWO YEARS, AND THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED A BAG TO REPLACE THE ONE IN MY CAR.

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SEAT STARTED TO TURN BROWN AND CRUSTED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND UNPLUGGED THE FRONT AND REAR BATTERY AND THE PASSENGER SEAT STARTED TO SMOKE AND CAUGHT FIRE. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND STARTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE WITH A WATER HOSE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND CONTINUED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE FIRE DETECTOR DETERMINED THAT SOMETHING WAS ON, WHICH CAUSED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
OVER 2 YEARS AGO AT 108,000 MILES WHILE DRIVING WE EXPERIENCED A LOUD RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IT EVENTUALLY STOPPED BUT THE CAR KEPT RUNNING ROUGH AND SMOKING. WE OPENED UP THE ENGINE AND A PISTON HAD FAILED AND COLLAPSED IN UPON ITSELF. WE PULLED THE ENGINE AND PERFORMED A COMPLETE ENGINE REBUILD. ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO AT 134,000 MILES WE HAD A SIMILAR OCCURRENCE. WE PULLED THE HEAD AND FOUND THAT CYLINDER TWO HAD DAMAGE ON THE HEAD AND CORRESPONDING LOCATIONS ON THE PISTON. COMPRESSION TEST CONFIRMED LOSS OF COMPRESSION ON CYLINDER 2. I PURCHASED A NEW HEAD AND UPON REASSEMBLY I SHOOK THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND DISCOVERED THERE WERE OBJECTS INSIDE. I WAS ABLE TO GET SOME OF THEM OUT AND THEY APPEAR TO BE PARTS OF THE VALVE SEAT FROM CYLINDER 2. I AM ATTACHING PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE DAMAGE TO THE CYLINDER HEAD AT CYLINDER NUMBER 2 AND ALSO THE FRAGMENTS THAT I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE FROM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WHICH APPEAR TO BE PARTS OF THE VALVE SEAT FROM THE EXHAUST VALVE AT CYLINDER NUMBER 2. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR 10 YEARS SINCE WE PURCHASED IT NEW BY MY WIFE AND HAS NEVER BEEN STRESSED RACED OR ABUSED IN ANY WAY. WE HAVE BEEN LOYAL CHRYSLER CONSUMERS FOR QUITE SOME TIME AS WELL AS WAS MY FATHER BEFORE ME. I'M HOPING THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO FOR US TO RIGHT THIS SITUATION.

PREVIOUSLY JUST FILED COMPLAINT UNDER POWER TRAIN HEADING REGARDING SHIFTER STUCK IN PARK ISSUE. INFORMED BY SUPERVISOR AT CHRYSLER RECALL CENTER THAT "LOOKING INTO ISSUES & FILING A COMPLAINT ON SUCH ISSUES SHOULD BE DONE ON THE CHRYSLER WEBSITE, NOT ON NHTSA.GOV BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT A RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY SITE!" SERIOUSLY, BECAUSE I WAS PRETTY MUCH TOLD LIKE EVERYONE ELSE WITH THIS ISSUE "IT'S MY PROBLEM" .
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, STARTED VEHICLE, FOOT ON BRAKE, VEHICLE SHIFTER WOULD NOT DISENGAGE FROM PARK. NOW WHAT ? COULD FIND NO OPEN RECALLS ON ISSUE, JUST LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND A FEW REFERENCES TO A K 39 (RECALL ?) PLEASE INVESTIGATE AND INITIATE A FIX FOR THIS.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR JUST STALLED TWICE ONCE AT A RED LIGHT AND TOOK A WHILE TO RESTART AND THEN WHEN MAKING A LEFT TURN ON THE ROAD IT JUST STALLED AND AGAIN IT TOOK A COUPLE OF TIMES TO RESTART DURING IRMA I WENT OUTSIDE TO MOVE MY JEEP WRANGLER TO A SAFE SPOT AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER THE HURRICANE AAA WAS ALLOWED TO COME AND TOW THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE JEEP AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS THE TIPM MODULE SO I LOOKED THIS UP AND REALIZED THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM AND I ASKED THE DEALERSHIP IF THERE IS RECALL BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TWICE ON THE CHRYSLER 300 AND THEY SAID NO SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE RECALLED SOON SO I CAN TAKE IT TO GET IT FIXED MY MOTHER WHO IS 91 CAN NOT GET IN MY JEEP AND USES A WALKER AND NOW IM AFRAID IF I GO FURTHER OUT OF TOWN TO THE DOCTORS THAT CAR MAY SHUTDOWN ON I75 AND AND CAUSE A REAL BIG ACCIDENT AND I'M HANDICAPPED AND ON A FIXED INCOME AND DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE THE TIPM. THIS IS 2 CARS DIFFERENT YEARS AND THE SAME THING PLZ RECALL THE TIPM FOR THE MODELS OF CARS. I WILL BE ALSO REPORTING MY JEEP BUT IT JUST HAPPENED TO BE UNDER WARRANTY

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (GARY MATTHEWS MOTORS, CLARKSVILLE, TN, 931-552-7100) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 119,000.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME MADE MOTION TO START VEHICLE PLACED FEET ON BRAKE AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT GEAR IN DRIVE AND THE GEAR WOULD NOT MOVE OUT OF PARK
CAR OPERATED AS EXPECTED ON 7/2 AND WAS PARKED IN GARAGE OVERNIGHT. ON 7/3 OPERATOR WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR BUT OPERATOR COULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE CAR IS STUCK IN PARK AND CANNOT BE SHIFTED INTO ANOTHER GEAR. THERE IS A CURRENT RECALL FOR THIS EXACT SAME ISSUES FOR CARS WITH A BUILD DATE FROM JUNE 25, 2007 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 21, 2007. THIS RECALL IS NAMED K39, AND THE LETTER IS ATTACHED. THE BUILD DATE OF MY CAR WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IS OCTOBER 11, 2006. THE SUGGESTED OVERRIDE METHOD DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE (DEPRESSING PINK LEVER ON SHIFTER ASSEMBLY).
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. IT WAS FINE THEN THEN LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING INSIDE AND OUT AND THEN WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED TO TURN IT BACK ON IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. NO LIGHTS OR POWER AT ALL. HAD TO GET A JUMP START. THEN WHEN I TRIED TO GO IT WAS REVVING UP BUT WOULDNT MOVE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN JUMPED INTO GEAR REAL HARD. IT HAD SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF POWER AND WOULD GET UP AND GO. IT'S REAL SLOW FROM THE START AND IT DANGEROUS DRIVING IT BECAUSE IT WILL JUST REV UP AND NOT MOVE THEN JUMP INTO GEAR VERY HARD. IT HAS ALMOST THROWN MY CAR INTO THE BACK OF OTHER CARS BECAUSE IT JUMPS SO BAD I TO GEAR ALL OF A SUDDEN. THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF ANOTHER CAR COMING G IT SOMETIMES BARELY MOVES AND IT VERY DANGEROUS. IT HAS BEEN STUCK IN 2ND GEAR EVER SINCE. IT HAD A LOT OF LOSS OF POWER. I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACE 2 TIMES AND BOTH INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL ARE ALL STUCK IN 2ND GEAR. ALSO WHEN I TURN THE CAR IT MAKES A LOUD POPPING CRACKING SOUND BY THE WHEELS. LIKE IT'S GOING TO BREAK. ALSO GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS IT'S REALLY LOUD AND SQUEAKY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPRING RETAINER BRACKETS FRACTURED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,635.
VEHICLE DIES WHILE DRIVING AND WILE COMING TO A STOP IN TOWN. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NO CODES - TOOK IT IN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED A BAD FUEL TANK. THE INLET FLAPPER ON THE FUEL TANK IS DEFECTIVE ALLOWING FUEL TO OVERFLOW THE CHARCOAL CANISTER. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE 2005-2006 MODELS THAT NOW COME WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON FUEL TANKS. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH ME TO REPLACE IT OR CONSUME SOME OF THE COSTS, AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IT HAS DIES OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION OVER 10 TIMES AND WONT ALWAYS RE-START. SOMETIMES IT TAKES 5-10 MINUTES, AND OTHER TIMES IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN AND THE CAR STALLED OUT AND I ALMOST HIT THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT OF ME. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE LIFETIME WARRANTY ISSUED TO 2005/2006 MODELS.
TL *THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, A SECOND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SPUN OUT AND CRASHED INTO OTHER VEHICLE. THE PASSENGER SIDE AND FRONT END OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE SUSTAINED SEVERE DAMAGE; HOWEVER, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED NECK, BACK, AND SHOULDER INJURIES AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED HEAD, NECK, BACK, AND HIP INJURIES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000. *TT *TR
TAKATA RECALL INFLATORS HAVE YET TO BE REPLACED. I FEEL UNSAFE EACH TIME I GET INTO MY CAR.
THE CAR HAS ONLY 92000 MILES AND MAINTAINED GOOD. SINCE IT WAS ONLY 70000 MILES THE A.C STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT INSIDE THE DASHBOARD THE EVAPORATOR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY CAUSING FREON LEAK. AND OUTRAGE REPAIR OF 2000 DOLLARS WILL BE THE COST. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MANY CHRYSLER'S 300 2005-2010. SINCE THAT IS A MAIN ISSUE WHY THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS PART? IT SEEMS LIKE THAT COMPANY KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE FROM OVER A 10000 CUSTOMERS AND DOESN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ON THEIR PRODUCTS CHRYSLER GUARANTY THAT ISSUE LIKE THIS WOULD NOT APPEAR UNTIL VEHICLE REACH AT LEAST 100000 MILES. LIVING IN STATE OF FLORIDA THIS IS SAFETY ISSUE WHEN TEMPERATURES REACH 120 F IN THE VEHICLE. OTHER ISSUES INCLUDE ARE FUEL INJECTORS AND EGR SENSOR CAUSING THE CAR TO STOP IN MIDDLE OF DRIVING WITHOUT NO WARNING AND IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS. I ALWAYS SUPPORT BUYING USA VEHICLES AND WE ALL NEED TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR ECONOMY BUT IF COMPANIES DON'T STAND FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS GUARANTY AND QUALITY EVERYONE WILL PURCHASE DIFFERENT VEHICLES WITH BETTER QUALITY.
STUCK IN PARK. CAN'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK FLOOR SHIFTER LOCKED BYPASS DOESN'T WORK.
ON SUNDAY 04/30/2017, I PULLED CAR INTO GAS STATION AND PUT GAS IN IT. WHEN I WENT TO LEAVE AFTER THIS TRANSACTION, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF "PARK". THE SHIFTER WILL NOT RELEASE AND GO INTO GEAR. THE VEHICLE IS STUCK IN "PARK". DIAMLER CHRYSLER HAS EXISTING RECALL (K39) TO ADDRESS THIS ONGOING, WIDESPREAD DEFECT IN THEIR VEHICLES (DODGE/CHRYSLER FLOOR SHIFTER RECALL). ACCORDING TO TSB/RECALL DOCUMENTS, THE YEARS COVERED ARE 2005-2011. HOWEVER, THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED 90 DAYS BEFORE THE RECALL PERIOD FOR THAT MAKE AND MODEL, MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL.

WHILE CHECKING THE TIRE PRESSURE OF A CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE, THE TPMS VALVE STEM BROKE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THERE WAS OIL IN THE COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY VEHICLE HAS NEED THE AIRBAG REPLACED FOR A YEAR AND STILL HAVE YET TO COME UP WITH A REMEDY FOR MY PASSENGERS TO HAVE A SAFE RIDE.
