THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE BRAKE PEDAL; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED O THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE STRONG FUEL FUMES PRESENT OUTSIDE AND INSIDE THE VEHICLE. UPON RE-FUELING THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT DISPLAY THE CORRECT FUEL LEVEL. THE CONTACT NOTICED A LEAK UNDER THE VEHICLE FROM THE REAR TO THE FRONT AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR. THE TOWING COMPANY NOTICED AN EXTENSIVE LEAK AND PARKED THE VEHICLE IN A PARKING LOT. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM THE STATE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FUEL LEAK FUMES BEING A HAZARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SECOND DEALER AND THEY DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND KEPT THERE FOR WEEKS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE HAD AN INDENTATION ON THE SIDEWALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE TIRES WERE REPLACEMENT TIRES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE EXITING THE VEHICLE, ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH A SIMILAR MAKE AND MODEL USED THE KEY FOB TO TURN ON/OFF THE CONTACT'S SECURITY ALARM. WHEN THE CONTACT RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN OVER TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE GEARS WERE ALSO ABLE TO SHIFT WITHOUT APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RESET THE CODE FOR THE KEY AND WAS ABLE TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DOOR, BUT THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN OVER TO START THE VEHICLE. THE FUSES WERE REPLACED AND BLEW MORE THAN TWICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
DROVE MY CAR TO WORK IN THE MORNING WITH NO PROBLEMS. AFTER WORK I STARTED THE CAR AND COULD NOT SHIFT THE GEAR OUT OF PARK. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES, TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON ETC. BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. CALLED THE REPAIR SHOP. THEY CAME AND REMOVED THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY TO GET IT TO THE SHOP AND SAID THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE SHIFT ASSEMBLY BECAUSE A SMALL PLASTIC PIECE WAS BROKEN INSIDE AND THEY COULDN'T JUST REPLACE THE PIECE, IT HAD TO BE THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY FOR THE COST OF $300.00. NO WARNINGS OR OTHER ISSUES. AFTER LOOKING THE PROBLEM UP ON THE INTERNET, SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR MAKE AND MODEL. I HAVE ALSO HAD TROUBLE WITH THIS CAR SEVERAL TIMES JUST SHUTTING DOWN OR ALMOST SHUTTING OFF (JERKS LIKE YOU ARE HIT AND SEEMS LIKE IT IS SHUTTING DOWN BUT THEN RETURNS TO NORMAL) WHILE SITTING AT A LIGHT OR A STOP SIGN. USUALLY IT WILL START BACK UP QUICKLY BUT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS IN TRAFFIC AND I HAVE ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED 2 TIMES BECAUSE OF IT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 DIFFERENT TIMES COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND THAT THE COMPUTER SYSTEM DIDN'T SHOW ANY PROBLEMS.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER USED MY CRUISE CONTROL SINCE I HAVE OWNED MY CAR. I WAS TRAVELING ON A FREEWAY; ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED TO LOSE CONTROL. THE ENGINE WAS RACING TO A HIGH RPM AND ACCELERATING. TWO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON IMMEDIATELY, IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER, AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE EVEN WHEN HITTING THE BRAKE. WHILE I TRIED REGAINING CONTROL OF MY CAR I TRIED TURNING THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF. IT WOULD NOT TURN OFF. I HIT CANCEL ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND IT STILL WOULDN'T DISENGAGE. FINALLY, I KEPT BRAKING AND PULLED OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY CAR, WHILE I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, CONTINUED TO REV UP. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, BUT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS STILL ENGAGED, EVEN WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL LIGHT NOW OFF, AND THE R.P.M'S CONTINUED TO BE HIGH, SO I TOOK THE NEXT EXIT. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE FOR 15 MINUTES. THE TWO WARNING LIGHTS ARE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL AND ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. THE CAR IS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS AND THE CRUISE CONTROL COMES ON AFTER 40 MPH ON ITS OWN AND THE WARNING LIGHTS COME ON.

CHRYSLER 300 WENT INTO PARK. NEXT ATTEMPT TO MOVE, CAR STARTED FINE. GEAR SHIFT LOCKED IN PARK. THE CAR WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK. TURNS OUT MANY CHRYSLER AND DODGE OWNERS HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THIS. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, AS MY WIFE HAS MANY MEDICAL ISSUES, IF SHE NEEDS TO GET TO AN APPOINTMENT AND THIS HAPPENS SHE MAY END UP MISSING HER APPOINTMENTS OR HOSPITAL VISITS.

SHIFT PARK LOCK MECHANISM - CANNOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. IT APPEARS THAT MY "SHIFT INTERLOCK LATCH" HAS MALFUNCTIONED (VIA ONLINE RESEARCH). IT ALSO APPEARS THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF, BUT WILL NOT FIX UNDER A RECALL. ANYWAY, AS IT CURRENTLY STANDS I'M TRYING TO GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER TO FIX. THANK GOODNESS THE CAR WAS AT HOME WHEN THIS OCCURRED.

2007 CHRYSLER 300C. CONSUMER REQUESTS ASSISTANCE IN GETTING AIRBAG INFLATOR RECALL PARTS AND REPAIRS COMPLETED AT DEALERSHIP. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE MORE THAN 12 MONTHS AGO. TO DATE, HE HAS NEVER BEEN SCHEDULED FOR AN APPOINTMENT. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED EIGHTS MONTHS AGO, HE WOULD BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST AND WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THE PARTS ARRIVED.
