June 6th 2024, I got into my 2095 Chrysler crossfire and started driving hearing a rattling sound I pulled over and looked in back of my car to see the back window separated away from the soft top and was openly hanging, I had to get home from where I was at so I took back roads all way home and pulled over everytime a car got behind me. Also in past month my car sometimes starts right up and other time it won’t come on. Hubby says it’s an electrical issue. My car died on me as I pulled onto a hiway luckily I was able to pull off to the side of the road. I’ve seen several electrical issues reported on a car forum for these cars, also window separation. I have pics if needed.
Back window glass of the soft top, became unglued and is leaking into the vehicle when it rains. Seems like a fault to me as the top itself is still in great condition.
I had four (4) new tires installed on the Chrysler Crossfire listed above at Goodyear Auto Center , Memphis store number 2621 on 15 March 2022. They recommended at that time that a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) be replaced if the sensor light does not turn off. The light stayed on I returned on April 22, 2022 they replaced the rear passenger sensor. The light remained on returned to Goodyear on 10 November 2022, a technician checked the tire and said all tire sensors are working and could not rectify the problem. I was advised to visit the Auto Dealership. I visited Gossett Chrysler, 1901 Covington Pike Memphis, TN, on 25 November 2022 and they checked the tires and I was told that they do not have the equipment to reset the TPMS systems on the vehicle. As of today my TMPS light remains on and I have to check the tires or have someone manually verify the tires are inflated according to specifications. I would appreciate any help in resolving or recalling this mandated safety system problem before and accident occurs because of overinflated or underinflated tires. Thank You!
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the rear windshield detached from the windshield molding and fell inside the cabin of the vehicle. The dealer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the extended warranty had expired. The contact related the failure to TSB 23-035-11REVA. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
CAR WAS STATIONARY AND KEY WAS INSERTED INTO IGNITION BUT COULD NOT TURN THE IGNITION IN ATTEMPTING TO START THE CAR. IT DOES NOT MOVE (KEY) TO INITIATE THE FUNCTION TO START THE CAR. ALSO, NO MOTION OF THE KEY MOVEMENT WAS AVAILABLE PROVIDE ANY STEPS OF THE IGNITION. THE MOVEMENT OF THE IGNITION TUMBLERS BECOME FROZE IN A JAMMED POSITION DISABLING THE KEY FROM TURNING. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THIS IS NOT A NEW COMMENT ABOUT THIS YEAR 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE IGNITION (NO TURN) IN STARTING THE VEHICLE. REAR CONVERTIBLE WINDOW FELL OUT SITTING IN DRIVEWAY ON A HOT DAY 85 DEGREES F. I HAD TO GLUE IT BACK IN TEMPORALLY TO KEEP OUTSIDE ELEMENTS OUT. *TR
THE SKREEM MODULE HAS FAILED WHICH CONTROLS THE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM, KEY & IGNITION. THE PART IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE THROUGH CHRYSLER OR AFTERMARKET. THE CAR CANNOT RUN WITHOUT THIS MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME OF FAILURE. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP. LUCKILY IT WAS CLOSE TO HOME WHEN IT FAILED. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO MAKE THIS PART AVAILABLE SINCE IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM THAT AFFECTS HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES THAT CANNOT BE DRIVEN ONCE IT FAILS. *TR
REAR WINDOW IS LOOSE AND NOT GLUED DOWN. *TR
ALL OF A SUDDEN MY REAR WINDOW IN MY CROSSFIRE CONVERTABLE CAME OUT. I CANNOT PUT MY TOP DOWN OR DRIVE AS RAIN WILL COME IN. I WAS TOLD THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH CAR. HOW DO I GET IT FIXED NOW ? CRYSTLER DEARLSHIPS SAY THEY DO NOT SERVICE THIS MODEL ANYMORE. SO WHAT CAN I DO AND CAN YOU HELP?
THE ENTIRE RIGHT HALF OF THE REAR WINDOW DETTACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, AND STARTED BANGING AGAINST THE TOP. THIS VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN STORED INDOORS AND NOT EXPOSED TO RAIN OR SNOW.
THE BACK WINDOW HAS BECOME DETACHED AND IS HANGING ON BY A THREAD. IT BECOMES MORE DETACHED WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE SILVER SEEN IN THE PHOTO IS DUCK TAPE WE APPLIED TO HELP KEEP IT IN PLACE WHICH IS NOT WORKING. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN STORED IN A GARAGE SINCE PURCHASE IN NEW SMYRNA BEACH FL. ADDITIONALLY, IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS THE AIR BAG INDICATOR WILL NOT GO OFF IN THE VEHICLE. ITS LIKE OWNING THE [XXX] STEPCHILD OF CHRYSLER/MERCEDES NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING. HELP! THE REAR WINDOW OF THE VEHICLE CAME UNGLUED WHILE DRIVING AND CREATED A MASSIVE DISTURBANCE IN THE VEHICLE. HAD I BEEN ON A HIGHWAY THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLY CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES AND I FEAR FOR THOSE DRIVERS WHO MAY HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS IN THE FUTURE. CHRYSLER MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS BEYOND THE STATES THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY EXTENDED WARRANTIES TO ON VEHICLES WHO HAVE HAD THESE SAME ISSUES. MY VEHICLE WAS SHIPPED TO NEVADA - ALSO A WARM WEATHER STATE, YET NOT PART OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY? THIS MAKES ZERO SENSE. FIX THE ISSUE CHRYSLER - SHAMEFUL BEHAVIOR, TRULY. I AM CURRENTLY HAVING ESTIMATES DONE TO SEE WHAT THE REPAIRS WILL COST AND HEARING THAT THIS WILL BE IN THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR SOMETHING THAT IS A FAULTY BUILD. THERE ARE LITERALLY DOZENS OF FORUMS WITH CHRYSLER DRIVERS TALKING ABOUT THIS VERY SAME, VERY SCARY ISSUE. COME ON CHRYSLER, BE ACCOUNTABLE.
SAFETY HAZARD. REAR GLASS WINDOW BECOMES UNGLUED AND FALLS OUT WHILE DRIVING. COULD FLY ONTO ROAD AND SHATTER OR HIT ANOTHER CAR. CHRYSLER INDICATES EVEN THOUGH I DO NOT OWN IT VERY LONG AND HAVE LOW MILEAGE THEY CANNOT HELP WITH THIS THAT THE ENTIRE TOP MUST BE REPLACED AT A COST OF APPROX. $3000.00. IT IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND VERY DANGEROUS.
THE GLASS WINDOW IN THE CONVERTIBLE ROOF HAS COME LOOSE ALLOWING WATER TO ENTER THE CAR AND DAMAGE ELECTRONICS. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IF IT FELL OFF DRIVING IT COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE!
HI A WAS DRIVING MY 2005 CROSSFIRE GOING DOWN HILL AN IT JUST CUT OFF. IT SEEM LIKE THERE ARE LOT OF PEOPLE ARE THESE SAME PREAMBLES WITH THE CROSSFIRE CAR. AN CHRYSLER NO ABOUT THEM AN WILL NO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL SOME GET KILL. NO BREAKS GOING DOWN THE MY KID WAS IN AS WELL THESE COMPUTER PARTS ARE BAD AND NEED RECALL ON THEM LIKE NOW. WILL NOT START, WILL TURN OVER, NO CODE TO FIND OUT WHAT WRONG WITH THE CAR NEED TO BE FIX. CAR DEALERSHIP ARE KEEPING CAR FOR MONTHS TRYING TO FIND THE PREAMBLES. MY2005 CROSSFIRE ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE JUST STOPPED RUNNING TWICE WHILE DRIVING ON A VERY BUSY ROAD! THE FIRST TIME I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WHEN THE CAR DIED. I HAD NO POWER AND THE CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. AS THE LIGHT HAD NOW TURNED GREEN EVERY CAR IN EVERY LANE STARTED TO MOVE FORWARD. OF COURSE THE PERSON BEHIND ME STARTED BEEPING AND SCREAMING! I GOT OUT OF THE CAR (VERY DANGEROUS) AND STARTED TO PUSH THE CAR OVER SEVERAL LANES TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. TWO MEN JUMPED OUT AND HELPED ME PUSH IT TO A SIDE ROAD OFF THE MAIN ROAD. CARS WERE NOW FLYING PAST US GOING AT LEAST 45 TO 50 MPH. MY CAR WAS TOWED TO MY HOME CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND AFTER 3 DAYS THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE ENGINE RELAY CONTROL MODULE WHICH HAD AN INTERNAL FAILURE. THE CAR RAN FINE FOR 9 MONTHS WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED BUT THIS SECOND TIME I WAS GOING 45 MPH WHEN THE CAR JUST DIED. I NEARLY GOT HAMMERED TRYING TO ALLOW MY SLOWING VEHICLE'S MOMENTUM TO TAKE ME ACROSS SEVERAL LANES OF TRAFFIC TRYING TO GET TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD BEFORE STOPPING. IT WAS FRIGHTENING AND VERY DANGEROUS!!! MY CAR WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP BUT AFTER TWO DAYS I WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT TO ANALYZE OR FIX THE PROBLEM. FORTUNATELY MY INSURANCE COMPANY WAS KIND ENOUGH TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED A SECOND TIME TO THE DEALERSHIP I USED ON THE FIRST INCIDENT. THEY HAVE NOW HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A WEEK WITH VERY LITTLE COMMUNICATION. THEY CLAIM THEY CAN'T GET THE CAR STARTED (DUH) AND THEY CAN'T EVEN GET THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO PUSH IT INTO A BAY TO WORK ON IT. (HUNH?). THEY CLAIM THEY NEED A COMPUTER PART FROM MERCEDES TO ANALYZE THE PROBLEM. (WHAT?) NOW THEY TELL ME THEY GOT THE CAR INTO THE BAY AND ARE CHARGING THE BATTERY. (REALLY THAT IS ALL THEY'VE DONE IN 7 DAYS?) I AM MORE THAN FRUSTRATED WITH THEM...I WAS TOLD BY THE NON-SERVICE ADVISOR THAT THEY HAVE MANY CARS IN THEIR SHOP FOR MONTHS!

REAR WINDOW HAS DELAMINATED FROM CONVERTIBLE TOP. LEFT SIDE OF GLASS HAS COME LOOSE FROM TOP. CAR WAS STATIONARY AND PARKED AT MY RESIDENCE.
2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE,40000 MILES, PURCHASED NEW FROM A NEW YORK CHRYSLER DEALER. THE REAR GLASS WINDOW HAS SEPARATED FROM THE FABRIC TOP. THE SAME MODEL AND YEAR CARS HAVE A HISTORY OF THE SAME PROBLEM.

THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THE DEALER'S STATEMENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
THE CAR WOULD NOT START (BATTERY DEAD). REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THE NEXT DAY THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AGAIN. TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP THINKING IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR AND THE TECH DID A CHECK AND CAME BACK WITH A BAD POWER MODULE. CAR CAN'T BE DRIVEN AS THE BATTERY DRAINS IN JUST A FEW HOURS. THE TECH STATED THAT HE DID A CHECK ON THE VIN NUMBER AND IT CAME BACK WITH A RECALL FOR THE POWER MODULE, WHICH I CAN'T VERIFY.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,246.
CONVERTIBLE TOP REAR WINDOWS DETACHMENT IN FLORIDA VEHICLE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ELECTRONIC CONVERTIBLE TOP FELL DOWN ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONVERTIBLE TOP CONTINUED TO FALL DOWN BETWEEN 2005 AND 2018. CROWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (2120 CHAPMAN ROAD, CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE 37421, (888)454-8402) REPLACED THE ELECTRONIC CONVERTIBLE TOP IN 2005. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS ATTRIBUTED TO WATER INTRUSION INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED CONTINUOUSLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 18,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE REAR WINDOW IS BECOMING UNATTACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND BEGAN MAKING A BANGING NOISE.

VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND THE REAR WINDOW FELL OUT. IT IS A CONVERTIBLE WITH APPROXIMATELY 33,000 MI. PARKED IN GARAGE YEAR ROUND.
THE REAR WINDOW IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DETACHED WHILE IT WAS PARKED. IT IS PARTIALLY ATTACHED BUT I AM UNABLE TO USE THE CAR BECAUSE I AM CONCERNED THAT THE WINDOW WILL COME COMPLETELY LOOSE AND FALL ONTO THE HIGHWAY BEHIND ME.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT IT WAS AN UNKNOWN OCCURRENCE. THE MANUFACTURER INSTRUCTED THE CONTACT NOT TO CALL NHTSA AND ALLOW THE MATTER TO BE HANDLED BETWEEN THE CONTACT AND THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT CALLED JOE CECCONI'S CHRYSLER COMPLEX AT 716-297-5800 (LOCATED AT 2380 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT A KNOWN OCCURRENCE. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT SUCH A FAILURE COULD ONLY BE AGE RELATED DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR OF THE VEHICLE, AND HIGH HUMIDITY TEMPERATURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
REAR WINDOW DETACHED WHILE SITTING IN GARAGE IN TENNESSEE. PURCHASED IN KENTUCKY AS THE 2ND OWNER. HAS ONLY 32500 MILES ON VEHICLE. APPARENTLY A COMMON PROBLEM. HAD TO REPLACE IGNITION THREE YEARS AGO AT ONLY 28,000 MILES. ANOTHER COMMONLY REPORTED PROBLEM. PITIFUL WITH WELL-CARED FOR VEHICLE.
CAR WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY AND BACK GLASS FELL OUT AND BROKE WE HAD REPLACED THIS TOP ONCE WITH OUR MONEY AS CHRYSLER AND NHTSA WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT THIS CAR HAS HAD RECALLS ON THIS PROBLEM OF THE GLASS FALLING OUT AND THE GLUE FAILURES BUT IT SEEMS ONLY CERTAIN CARS ARE REPAIRED THIS CAR HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE SINCE THE NEW TOP WAS INSTALLED AND WE TOOK IT OUT FOR A FEW DAYS AND THE GLUE LET LOOSE WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET CHRYSLER OR NHTSA TO FIX THIS

THE REAR WINDOW ATTACHED TO CONVERTIBLE TOP FELL OUT
MY REAR WINDOW ON MY CONVERTIBLE TOP CAME LOOSE AND FELL OUT PARTIALLY, THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.
CAR RUNS FINE ONE DAY THEN WILL NOT START AT RANDOM TIMES, TURN THE IGNITION GET NO SOUND FROM ENGINE. DASH LIGHTS COME ON, FAN AND RADIO COMES ON BUT CAR WILL NOT START. WAIT A FEW HOURS OR A FEW DAYS, IT CRANKS RIGHT UP AS INTENDED. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN CHECKED AND ALWAYS SHOW GOOD RESULTS.
REAR WINDSHIELD COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM TOP IN LATE (OCT)2010. IT WAS REPLACED AND HAS COMPLETELY SEPARATED AGAIN. I AM SO UPSET. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND COSTLY. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH CAR ALARM GOING OFF WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE. I HAVE CONTACTED CRYSLER AND HAVE NOT BEEN OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE.
THE IGNITION SWITCH WENT OUT AGAIN, THIS TIME THE EALER SAYS $1,500.00 TO REPAIR, THIS HAS BEEN A KNOWN PROBLEM, I NEED TO GET IT FIXED, I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORP, NO RESPONSE TO DATE, I WAITED ALONG TIME TO GET THIS CAR, GOT IT, HAD IT SHIPPED TO ME NOW THIS.ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
THE CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH LOCKING UP WHEREIIN YOU CAN NOT GET THE KEY TO TURN THE IGNITION. THIS PROBLEM HAS AFFECTED A LOT OF OWNERS WHO HAVE HAD TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO TO HAVE THE SWITCH REPLACED. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM. I HAD TO HAVE A MECHANIC COME TO MY HOME TO REPLACE THE SWITCH AS I COULD NOT GET THE KEY TO TURN AND STARTTHE VEHICLE.
CAR ALARM ACTIVATED WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE VEHICLES IS IN MOTION. CONVERTIBLE TOP WILL NOT WORK.

REAR WINDOW ON CONVERTIBLE TOP FELL OUT. CURRENT RECALL IN PROGRESS FOR SOUTHERN STATES.
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. IT IS A CONVERTIBLE. THE REAR WINDOW HAS BECOME UNGLUED CAUSING POSSIBLE SERIOUS INJURY, HAD IT COME TOTALLY UNGLUED IT COULD HAVE CREATED A SERIOUS INJURY SIMILAR TO WHAT SNOW COULD DO IF NOT CLEANED OFF BEFORE LEAVING FOR A TRIP IN YOUR CAR. I HAVE NOTIFIED CHRYSLER AND THEY WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY IN THE REPAIR. THEIR REPLY, THE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED! I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS ISSUE IS NOT BEING TAKEN MORE SERIOUSLY? THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS FILED WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. A REAR WINDOW THAT COULD BE RELEASED INTO THE REAR OF A HIGHWAY OR FOR THAT MATTER ANY ROAD COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE OR OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD. I HOPE THIS MATTER IS TAKEN SERIOUS AND SOMEONE FOLLOWS UP WITH AN ALTERNATIVE FOR A VEHICLE THAT HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED WITH FAULTY GLUE OR POOR DESIGN! P.S. THIS WINDOW BECAME LOOSE WHEN MY WIFE HAD NOTICED IT WAS STARTING TO BECOME LOOSE WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 60 MPH. SHE THEN HAD TO APPLY HER BRAKES AND REMAIN AT A SLOW SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY WHICH IS A DANGER IN IT SELF.

REQUEST MADE TO CHRYSLER DEALER AND FCA LLC TO REPAIR...DENIED BY BOTH PARTIES. HEADLIGHTS SO FOGGED OVER THEY HAD TO BE REPLACED OR THE CAR COULD NOT GET INSPECTED. $947 FOR EACH HEADLIGHT. GLASS SEPARATED FROM CONVERTIBLE TOP. NO RECALLS OR HELP FROM CHRYSLER DUE TO MANUFACTURER DEFECT. CAR WAS SITTING IN DRIVEWAY WHEN THE WINDOW FELL OUT. CAR IS GARAGE KEPT AND HAS 62,000 MILES.
THE WAS CAR PARKED AND I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE THE CAR FROM THE PARKING LOT AND THE REAR GLASS FELL OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAFETY PROBLEM.
