'THE REAR WINDOW CAME OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE AFTER PURCHASING IT ONE MONTH EARLIER,' AN OWNER REPORTED TO NHSTA ON AUGUST 25, 2014. 'IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM.' ANOTHER OWNER REPORTED ON JULY 29, 2014, 'THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THE REAR GLASS WINDOW HAS SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR JUST TWO SHORT YEARS AGO WITH ONLY 12,000 MILES ON IT. A NEIGHBOR OF MINE HAS THE SAME VEHICLE AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. ' I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT CHRYSLER HAD A RECALL ON THIS TOP AND THEY REPLACED HIS TOP FOR FREE AND GAVE HIM A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON IT. I JUST GOT THIS CAR WITH ONLY 46K MILES AND IT HAPPENED ON IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO UNLOCK WHEN PROMPTED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE PLASTIC PART OF THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKING PIN BECAME DULL AND WORN. AS A RESULT, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SUBJECT TO INTERNAL FAILURE. AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM MOBILE (3118 GOVERNMENT BLVD, MOBILE, ALABAMA 36606, (251) 202-2253) AND MERCEDES-BENZ OF MOBILE (3060 DAUPHIN STREET, MOBILE, ALABAMA 36606, (251) 472-2369) WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE PART TO CORRECT THE FAILURE WAS NO LONGER IN PRODUCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTER. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CLAIM NUMBER: 312-27518. IGNITION KEY IS STUCK AND WILL NOT TURN, APPARENTLY A WELL KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM AMONG OWNERS CAR PARKED AND SHUT OFF AND THEN WHEN TRYING TO RESTART KEY WILL NOT TURN
BY BACK WINDOW GOT UNGLUED & UNABLE TO LOWER MY TOP. ALSO THE ELECTRICAL JUST STOPPED I'M NOT ABLE TO MOVE MY SEATS, OR USE CD PLAYER OR LIGHTER TO PLUG MY PHONE. JUST ONE DAY IT STOPPED WORKING & THEN WITH MY WINDOW UNGLUED I'M NOT ABLE TO TAKE TOP DOWN FOR PAST 2 YEARS. SO I DON'T KNOW WHY THE BACK WINDOW GOT UNGLUED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD WIND NOISE AND THE REAR WINDOW SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE TOP WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME AND THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT DEFECTIVE GLUE USED WAS BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED, BUT EXPIRED LAST YEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE DID NOT RECEIVE THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE REAR WINDOW FRACTURED AND BECAME LOOSE FROM THE HEDGES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BE REPAIRED BUT THE DETAILS WERE UNKNOWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
AIRBAG LIGHT AND THEREFORE FAILURE UNLESS FIXED DUE TO FAULTY CLOCK SPRING AND STEERING ANGLE SENSOR WITH ONLY 67144 MILES ON CAR. THE CLOCK SPRING WAS FOUND DEFECTIVE AND RECALLED ON OTHER CHRYSLER MODELS - SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO INCLUDE THIS MODEL.
THE REAR WINDOW FELL OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DUE TO POOR INSTALLATION AND ADHESIVE USED.
LEAVING MY DRIVEWAY ,GOING TO A MARION N.Y. CAR SHOW ,DOING ABOUT 45 MPH ON THE STREET,LOUDER NOISE THAN USUAL WAS HEARD AND LOOKED TO THE REAR OF VEHICLE WITH MY REAR VIEW MIRROR AND SEEN THAT THE REAR WINDOW CAME UNDONE.COULD HAVE HURT OR KILLED SOMEONE IF I WOULD BEEN DRIVING ON THE NYS THRUWAY AT A ,(CONCIDERALLY FASTER RATE OF SPEED POSTED ON THE THRUWAY.)VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY ,50,000 MILES REGESTERED ON SPEEDOMETER.
WHEN DRIVING TO A CAR SHOW THE REAR WINDOW STARTED TO COME APART FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IF I WOULD OF BEEN DRIVING (AS WAS INTENDED BEFORE THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED) ON THE NYS THRUWAY AT 65 MPH AND THIS REAR WINDOW LET LOOSE AND FLUE OUT THE WINDOW ,AN ACCIDENT COULD HAVE HAPPENED OR A FATALITY COULD HAVE OCCURED.
WHILE DRIVING MY CAR,TO THE COAST ON THE HIGHWAY, THE BACK WINDOW STARTED MAKING LOUD FLOPPING NOISE, IT SCARED ME TO DEATH, I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON, I PULLED OVER AND NOTICED THAT THE BACK WINDOW HAD SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AND WAS JUST HANGING AT THE TOP. IT SCARED ME TO DEATH. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, SO I TOOK THE DOWN DOWN , BECAUSE I THOUGHT FOR SURE I WOULD LOOSE THE WHOLE WINDOW IF I CONTINUED WITH THE TOP UP.
WHEELS HAVE TPMS TIRE SAFETY MONITORING SYSTEM IN THEM. REPLACED THE SENSORS IN ALL TIRES AND WENT TO DEALER TO RESET THEM, DEALER CHARGED $100 AND SAID I HAD A BAD SENSOR, WANTED EXTRA $80 TO REPLACE NEW SENSOR. I TOOK IT TO TIRE DEALER AND THEY SAID SENSORS WERE WORKING, BUT COULD NOT PROGRAM THE TPMS. EMAILED SCHROEDER WITH NO REPLIES ABOUT VALVE SAFELY PROBLEM. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO RESET A TPMS SAFETY ISSUE, SO I DO NOT HAVE A FLAT TIRE ACCIDENT. I THOUGHT THAT SAFETY COMES FIRST, WITHOUT NEEDING A LOAN TO FIX ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, I HEARD A RATTLING NOISE. AS I LOOKED AROUND THE CARS CABIN TO FIND THE SOURCE OF THE NOISE, I SAW THAT MY BACK GLASS PANEL HAS A GAP IN IN IT. I CONTINUED TO DRIVE, THE RATTLING WORSENED AND THE GLASS PANEL WAS BEGINNING TO COME UNDONE. WHEN I GOT TO MY DESTINATION THE GLASS PANEL IS BARELY HOLDING ON.
DRIVING DOWN HIGHWAY WHEN THE REAR GLASS WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP CAME DETACHED FROM THE TOP AND STARTED BANGING ON THE REAR TONNEAU COVER. LUCKILY IT DID FALL COMPLETELY OUT OF THE CAR.
REAR WINDOW OF CONVERTIBLE TOP CAME LOOSE WHEN CAR WAS MOVED FROM DRIVEWAY BACK INTO THE GARAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE REAR GLASS DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE'S CANVAS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND NO FURTHER DIAGNOSES WAS MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,800. THE REAR WINDSHIELD HAS BECOME DETACHED. THE CAR IS LOCATED IN INDIANA AND THERE WAS NO VISIBLE WARNING THAT THIS WAS COMING APART. I HAVE CONTACTED A CONVERTIBLE COMPANY AND THEY ARE QUOTING 1900 FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE WHOLE TOP. IN READING OTHERS COMPLAINTS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE STATUS OF THE NHTSA'S INVESTIGATION OF THIS ISSUE. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND THE REAR STARTED TO SOUND LIKE SOMETHING WAS BANGING AGAINST THE BODY OF THE CAR. THIS PROMPTED ME TO PULL OVER TO INVESTIGATE. DUE TO THIS ISSUE THE CAR IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE IN ITS CURRENT STATE.

BACK WINDOW IS COMING DETACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP
THE REAR WINDOW IS GLASS AND THE GLUE BOND TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP FAILS. I CALLED CHRYSLER IN AUGUST OF 2016 WHEN OUR WINDOW FELL LOOSE AND I LEARNED OF AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT WAS NEVER OFFERED TO US. THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE CAR BUT MY VIN DID NOT QUALIFY AND IT WAS ONLY FOR 10 YEARS. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON 2/6/2005 IN PLANO TEXAS. FROM ALL THE RESEARCH I'VE DONE THE EXTENDED WARRANTY SHOULD HAVE BEEN FOR ALL CARS SOLD IN TEXAS. WE NEVER RECEIVED NOTICE. AS I CONTINUE TO RESEARCH, THIS PROBLEM IS FAR GREATER THAN CARS SOLD IN A FEW SOUTHERN STATES AND CHRYSLER SHOULD BE COVERING OUR REPAIR. I'VE ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE THIS WITH CHRYSLER MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PAST 2 YEARS WITH NO SUCCESS.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE WITH THE TOP UP ON A HIGHWAY AT 65 MILES PER HOUR WHEN THE REAR WINDOW FELL INTO THE CAR, WHICH CAUSED ME TO SWERVE DUE TO THE LOUD NOISE AND COMMOTION NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. LUCKILY, I REALIZED THERE WAS NO IMMEDIATE DANGER AND WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE CAR. THIS CAR IS GARAGED AND DRIVEN FEWER THAN 6,000 MILES PER YEAR! (MOSTLY WITH THE TOP DOWN!)

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 52,000.
BACK WINDOW FELL OUT WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT IT FROM COMING COMPLETELY LOOSE WAS THE REAR WINDOW DEFROST WIRES.
INTERMITTENT ENGINE START FAILURE RELAY REPLACED GOOD FOR 30 DAYS THEN INTERMITTENT ENGINE START FAILURE STANDING STILL AND SOMETIMES IN MOTION CITY STREET. REPLACED RELAY $567.00
IN 2011, THE REAR WINDOW IN MY CONVERTIBLE TOP BECAME UNGLUED FROM THE TOP. CHRYSLER PAID MOST OF THE COST TO REPLACE IT, BUT USED ANOTHER DEFECTIVE TOP AS A REPLACEMENT. AS A RESULT, THE WINDOW IS AGAIN FALLING OUT. CHRYSLER NOW REFUSES TO EVEN DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE DEFECTIVE GLUE IS WELL DOCUMENTED AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AS WINDOWS FLYING OUT OF MOVING VEHICLES COULD BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
THE BACK GLASS OF MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE HAS BECOME LOOSE FROM THE TOP. IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AS I HEARD IT BUMP AGAINST THE CAR BODY. I KNOW CHRYSLER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THIS ISSUE, BUT I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FIRST AND THE COMPANY SHOULD DO A RECALL TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.
IN APRIL OF 2015 I NOTICED THAT REAR WINDOW IS SEPARATING FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. SINCE THEN I HAVE DRIVEN VERY LITTLE FEARING THAT THE GLASS MAY FALL OUT COMPLETELY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
MY REAR WINDOW HAS COME UNGLUED AND IS DANGLING. IT CAME DOWN AS I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 70 MPH ON THE HWAY AND SCARED ME AS IT SUDDENLY CAME DOWN. IT'S A 2005 YEAR BUT HAS ONLY 17K MILES. IT'S GARAGED ALL THE TIME. I AM IN THE ATLANTA, GA AREA. WHAT HAS BEEN OR IS BEING DONE TO GET RECALL ON THESE TOPS?
CONVERTIBLE REAR WINDOW CAME UNGLUED. NEED REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF TOP
2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE TOP BACK GLASS DEFECTIVE FACTORY USED ADHESIVE CAME MOSTLY SEPARATED FROM TOP. THE PART GLASS STILL HAD ADHESIVE TORE TOP. I HAD IT GLUED BUT ENTIRE TOP NEEDS REPLACING. GLASS CAME LOOSE WHILE PARKED. THE DESIGN AND ADHESIVE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER PRODUCT. I HAVE HAD OTHER CONVERTIBLES HERE IN MISSISSIPPI AND NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN. CHRYSLER SHOULD REPLACE ALL THESE TOPS. BACK GLASS REGLUED WITH WINDOW-WELD. IT NOT PERFECT NOW BECAUSE GLASS TORE TOP WHEN FELL OUT. LOVE THE CAR HATE THE TOP. HOPE THEY WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR NAME.
I NOTICED MY READ WINDOW ON CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS COMING LOOSE. RESEARCH SHOWS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLES. IT HAS COME LOOSE ON ONE EDGE (RIGHT SIDE VIEWING FROM BACK OF CAR).
REAR WINDOW FELL OUT WHILE DRIVING, RECENTLY PURCHASED VEHICLE SO DID NOT KNOW ABOUT EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT WAS OFFERED EXTENDING TO 2015. CAN NOT FIND REPLACEMENT .

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE ENTIRE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
YESTERDAY, AFTER PUTTING THE TOP UP, I DROVE THE CAR. I HAD NOT PUT THE TOP UP IN ABOUT A WEEK. CAR SAT OUT IN BLAZING SUN WITH TEMPS IN THE HIGH 90'S FOR ABOUT 2.5 HOURS. WHEN I STARTED DRIVING, I HEARD AN ODD RATTLE. I PULLED OVER AND CHECKED THE CAR TO FIND THAT THE REAR WINDOW WAS SEPARATING FROM THE SOFT TOP. IT WAS ABOUT 2/3 STILL ATTACHED. I HAD TO CONTINUE DRIVING IT. UPON RETURNING HOME, I SEE THAT IT IS NOW 2/3 DISCONNECTED. I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR IN THE RAIN AS MY TRUNK WOULD FLOOD. AFRAID TO TRY TO JERRY RIG IT. UNABLE TO CALL DEALER UNTIL TOMORROW AS THIS, OF COURSE, IS A HOLIDAY WEEKEND. I AM FEARFUL OF DRIVING THE CAR FOR FEAR THE GLASS WILL BECOME COMPLETELY DETACHED. OTHER THAN THE ATTACHED WIRE THAT HEATS THE GLASS FOR DEFOGGING, THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL SECURE IT IF IT COMPLETELY DETACHES. THERE IS NOTHING TO KEEP IT FROM COMPLETELY DETACHING. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO OR OWN ANOTHER CAR. I CANNOT JUST DRIVE MY CAR ON NICE DAYS AND STAY HOME ON RAINY OR COLD ONES. I AM INTERESTED TO SEE WHAT MY DEALERSHIP WILL DO ABOUT THIS. I FEAR NOTHING FROM OTHER ONLINE COMMENTS. THE CAR IS ONLY WORTH ABOUT $6K SO THE IDEA OF PUTTING A NEW TOP ON IT FOR $2-3K OUT OF MY POCKET SEEMS RIDICULOUS. I LOVE MY CAR AND WANT TO KEEP DRIVING IT. IT ONLY HAS 70K MILES AND I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
REAR WINDOW COMING FALLING OUT
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE THAT THE BACK WINDOW IS FALLING , I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY ARE TELLING US THAT THEY ARE ONLY PAYING FOR ARS IN THE SOUTHERN STATES BUT IT IS HAPPENING IN EVERY STATE .THEY ADDED 10 YEAR 100000 MILES .IF THIS WINDOW FALLS COMPLETELY OUT COULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD
IN LATE AUGUST, THE REAR GLASS WINDOW FELL OUT (PART OF THE GLASS IS STILL ATTACHED) WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON A CITY STREET. UNKNOWN TO US, THIS ISSUE WAS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE 2005 MODEL (THE GLASS ADHESIVE FAILED). ALTHOUGH CHRYSLER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE TOP FOR 10 YEARS, THE WARRANTY COVERS ONLY CARS PURCHASE IN 10 SELECT STATES. UNFORTUNATELY, OUR CAR WAS NOT PURCHASED IN ONE OF THOSE STATES. THUS, THE WINDOW REPAIR (ACTUALLY A TOP REPLACEMENT) IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. CHRYSLER REFUSED TO FIX THE TOP. ENDED UP TAKING THE CAR TO A LOCAL UPHOLSTERY SHOP TO HAVE A PLASTIC WINDOW 'SOWN' INTO THE TOP SO THAT WE COULD CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THIS REPAIR WAS MORE AFFORDABLE THAN THE COST OF AN ENTIRE NEW TOP (ALMOST $2,000). THE PLASTIC WINDOW REPLACEMENT COST $500.00.
THE REAR GLASS WINDOW FELL OUT. IT WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AND OUTSIDE IN KANSAS. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE ROOF UP, THE WINDOW WAS DETACHED.
WAS PASSING ON AN UPHILL PASSING LANE AND ENGINE SHUTDOWN. COASTED SAFELY TO ROAD SIDE, NO COLLISION OR INCIDENTS. AIR TEMP WAS ~95F AND HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR SEVERAL HOURS. CHECKED ON CROSSFIRE FORUM AND THIS APPEARS TO A COMMON PROBLEM. THERE ARE FAULTY SOLDER JOINTS IN A RELAY CONTROL MODULE THAT FAIL UNDER TEMPERATURE. PULLED MODULE AND LET COOL, CAR RESTARTED AND DROVE ~60 MILES TO HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. ORDERED REPLACEMENT PART BUT AM CONCERNED THIS MAY REOCCUR WITHOUT WARNING.
DURING A HEAVY SUMMER RAIN/WINDSTORM THE REAR WINDOW BECAME MOSTLY DETACHED AND FELL INWARD INTO THE CAR WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE.

REAR GLASS IN CONVERTIBLE HAS LOST ADHESION ALLOWING WATER INTO CAR INTERIOR. CAR HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS, AND ONLY DRIVEN ABOUT 3,000 MILES PER YEAR.....UPDATED 11/13/15 *BF
DURING A SEVERE RAINSTORM THE REAR WINDOW GLASS DETACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP ALLOWING SEVERE FLOODING OF THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING VARIOUS ELECTRICAL FAILURES TO OCCUR. THIS SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED EVENT CAUSED AN EMERGENCY STOP IN TRAFFIC THAT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE RESIDUAL DAMAGE FROM THIS EVENT AFFECTS REAR WINDOW VISIBILITY AND ELECTRICAL FAILURES THAT INVOLVE THE OPERATION OF THE LOCKING SYSTEM, THE ANTI FOG REAR WINDOW CAPABILITY AND OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS IN THE REAR PART OF THE VEHICLE WHICH I CANNOT ACCESS BECAUSE OF THE INOPERATIVE TOP AND TRUNK.
MY BACK WINDOW ON MY SOFT TOP WAS PLUGGED OUT WHILE AM DRIVING ON MOTORWAY AND I WAS ABLE TO HEAR THE WINDOW COMING OUT OF THE MATERIAL ITS REALLY DANGEROUS HOW DID THEY DESINGED IT TO BE HANGGING LIKE THAT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT WHEN THE TOP OF HIS VEHICLE WAS DOWN, THE REAR WINDSHIELD WOULD DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED CONTINUOUSLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
I CAME OUTSIDE AND FOUND THE REAR GLASS OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAD CAME LOOSE FROM THE FABRIC. THE CAR WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN BUT JUST FELL OUT ON IT'S OWN.
