REAR WINDOW FELL OUT COMPLETELY IN THE MIDDLE OF A THUNDERSTORM WITH MY WIFE DRIVING. THE WINDOW HAPPENED TO FALL INSIDE THE VEHICLE BUT IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT IF IT HAD FALLEN OUTSIDE THE CAR. SHE WAS LUCKY THAT THE WINDOW DID NOT FALL ON HER AND WE ONLY GOT WET. *TR
MY VEHICLE HAS 30,000 MILES, AND IS FROM THE SO CALLED SOUTHERN STATES. LAST YEAR THE BACK WINDOW SEPARATED FROM THE TOP. I CALLED CHRYSLER TO REQUEST A REPAIR AND WAS DENIED.THE CAR HAD FRONT END DAMAGE WHEN WE BOUGHT IT. WE DOCUMENTED ALL PURCHASES AND PHOTOGRAPHED ALL REPAIRS THAT WERE MADE. THE VEHICLE LOOKS NEW. BUT THE WINDOW IS STILL OUT AND I HAVE TOOK THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE 1 TIME THE YEAR. CHRYSLER IS NOT STANDING BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. WE OWN 2 DODGE DEISELS TRUCKS AND WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THAT COMPANY AGAIN.THE WINDOW STARTED DETACHING WHILE THE CAR WAS IN MOTION, I SLOWED DOWN AND DROVE HOME, UNTIL WE CAN AFFORD REPAIRS. MAY BE NEVER, NEW TOP $1500. TO $2000. THAT IS A LITTLE PRICEY FOR A 10 YEAR OLD CAR.
REAR WINDOW CAME OUT OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AFTER PURCHASING 1 MONTH EARLIER. SOUNDS LIKE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM BUT THERE IS NOT A REGISTERED RECALL FOR IT. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT SHOULD BE FIXED. *TR
LITERALLY THE DAY AFTER THE RETURN PERIOD ON OUR 2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE WAS UP, WE FOUND OUT THAT THIS CAR HAS A MAJOR DEFECT WHERE THE BACK WINDOW FALLS OUT DUE TO FAILURE OF THE ADHESIVE. THIS ISSUE IS WIDESPREAD AND IS A REAL SAFETY HAZARD. APPARENTLY THE ENTIRE TOP TYPICALLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IF THIS HAPPENS, NOT JUST A RE-GLUE JOB. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN 17,000 MILES AND I'VE DRIVEN IT PROBABLY LESS THAN 50 MILES SINCE BUYING, YET NOW I AM FACED WITH A BIG REPAIR BILL TO MAKE THE CAR SAFE. CHRYSLER SHOULD COVER THIS TOP IN *ANY* CASE WHERE IT OCCURS (NOT JUST IN THE FEW SOUTHERN STATES THEY HAVE DEEMED APPLICABLE FOR COVERAGE). I AM IN VA, AND THAT'S WHERE THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY DELIVERED. ANYBODY WHO SAYS VA DOESN'T HAVE HIGH HEAT AND HUMIDITY IS CRAZY. WE ARE JUST 75 MILES FROM NC, A COVERED STATE. THIS IS TERRIBLY UNFAIR AND I FEEL LIKE A SCHMUCK. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE FORCED TO RECALL ALL OF THESE TOPS, NOT PICK AND CHOOSE! HOW CAN A WINDOW FALLING OUT OF THE CAR NOT BE CONSIDERED A MAJOR VIOLATION BY CHRYSLER? CAN THE NTSB DO ANYTHING TO HELP? *TR
MY REAR WINDOW IS COMING UNDONE FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AS IS THE CASE WITH NUMEROUS OTHER 2005 CROSSFIRE ROADSTERS. I TRIED TO CALL CHRYSLER CARE AS THERE IS A TSB SB-23035-11-REVA TO REPLACE THE TOP AS WELL AS EXTENDED WARRANTY X31 THROUGH CHRYSLER TO REPLACE THE TOP BOTH REQUIRE THE BACK GLASS TO BE SEPARATING OR FALLING OUT.CHRYSLER CARE ADVISED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO HELP(ON TWO SEPARATE PHONE CALLS) AND SUGGESTED I GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT.I PRINTED BOTH THE TSB AND THE LETTER SENT BY CHRYSLER ABOUT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND HEADED TO THE DEALER. THE SERVICE REP ADVISED THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY $139 JUST FOR THEM TO LOOK AT A PROBLEM CAUSED BY MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. RIDICULOUS! A NUMBER OF CROSSFIRE OWNER HAVE GOTTEN THEIR TOPS REPLACED WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I DON'T FEEL THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR WHICH I WAS SENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
ORIGINAL OWNER CAR, LIMITED USE, GARAGE KEPT IN CALIFORNIA (STATE OF PURCHASE). NOTICED THAT REAR WINDOW IN CONVERTIBLE TOP IS STARTING TO DETACH ON ONE SIDE. I'M AWARE THAT CHRYSLER HAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR CARS PURCHASED IN CERTAIN "HIGH HUMIDITY" STATES, BUT CALIFORNIA IS OUTSIDE THAT COVERAGE AND SO AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE WARRANTY REPAIR, YET I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE.
MY CANVAS TOP HAS SEPARATED FROM THE GLASS WINDOW DUE TO DEFECTIVE GLUE PROCESS. NOT SAFE AT ALL. IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY DOING 55MPH. WINDOW STARTED TO SEPARATE FROM CANVAS TOP. IT I DIDN'T HEAR ALL THE AIR COMING IN AND SEE IT IN MY MIRROR IT COULD FLOWN OUT OF THE CAR INTO ANOTHER CAR IF I DIDN'T QUICKLY SLOW DOWN AND PULL OVER. VERY DANGEROUS AND NOW I HAVE A MAHER BILL TO HAVE IT FIXED. FROM DOING SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET I FOUND THAT ALL 2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE OWNERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING AN MORE OF THEM EVERYDAY. CALLED CHRYSLER CORPORATION ABOUT REAR WINDOW SEPARATING FROM TOP. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE REPLACED BUT I WOULD HAVE TO GO TO A DEALER FOR PICTURES AND INSPECTION. THEY SUGGESTED MANAHAWKIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM RT 72 MANAHAWKIN, NJ 08050 609-597-1097. MY CAR WAS INSPECTED AND PICTURES WERE TAKENED BY DEALER ON 8/15/14 AS PER CHRYSLERS REQUEST. INVOICE NUMBER CHCS113759. I HAVE A PAPER FROM DEALER STATING WINDOW IS SEPARATING FROM TOP AND WILL NOTIFY CHRYSLER WITH RESULTS. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM CHRYSLER CORP. STATING MINE IS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DELIVERED IN SPECIFIED STATES. I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THE LOGIC THAT CERTAIN STATES WOULD BE COVERED AND OTHERS NOT WHEN THEY WERE ALL MADE IN THE SAME LOCATIONS. THEY PROBLEM EXIST ON ALL THE CONVERTIBLES. I DO TRAVEL AND IF I WENT BY THEIR CONCEPT TO ONLY COVER STATES THAT HAVE HIGH TEMPERATURES WHAT DO I DO WHEN I TRAVEL TO THOSE STATES WITH THE CAR? I ASK FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS SINCE THIS IS A CAR MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE THE CAR HAS THE PROBLEM IN ALL STATES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. OCCASIONALLY, AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE KEY IN THE IGNITION TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,039.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND NOT LONG AFTER, THE REAR WINDOW OF THE CONVERTIBLE TOP CAME LOOSE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE ISSUE. I'VE BEEN VERBALLY TOLD THAT THERE WAS A REPLACEMENT NOTE THAT AFFECTED CHRYSLER CROSSFIRES FOR 9 STATES. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE ORIGINALLY SOLD IN ONE OF THESE 9 STATES. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE 9 SPECIFICALLY BUT...MY VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD IN KANSAS (WHICH IS NOT PART OF THE 9 STATES REPLACEMENT CLAUSE), I LIVE IN MO WHICH IS COVERED BY THE REPLACEMENT CLAUSE. THE LADY THAT I SPOKE TO SAID THAT IT WAS A HUMIDITY ISSUE THAT WOULD CAUSE THE WINDOW TO UNGLUE.... SO, I ARGUED THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOW REGISTERED IN A STATE THAT THEY CLAIMED HAS THE LEVEL OF HUMIDITY THAT WOULD CAUSE THE KNOWN ISSUE, BUT, SHE STAYED FIRM ON THE FACT THAT MY VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY SOLD IN KANSAS AND THAT STATE IS NOT PART OF THE REPLACEMENT DEAL../ WHAT ARE MY RIGHT AS A CONSUMER? I HAVE WATER GETTING IN MY TRUNK WHICH CAUSED MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. AND NOW, I'M STUCK WITH THE BILL OR KEEPING THE VEHICLE AS IS. THANK YOU CHRYSLER. *TR

THE BACK WINDOW SEPARATED FROM THE TOP. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT CHRYSLER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THIS PROBLEM TO 10 YEARS 100000 MILES BUT NOT ON ALL OF THEM. MY CAR IS NOT COVERED. MAKES NO SENSE THAT SOME ARE AND SOME ARE NOT. *TR
2005 CHRYSLER CONVERTIBLE TOP RECALL. THE CAR WAS PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE REAR GLASS WINDOW HAD SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR JUST TWO SHORT YEARS AGO WITH ONLY 12,000 MILES ON IT. A NEIGHBOR OF MINE HAS THE SAME VEHICLE AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THESE I HAVE SINCE FOUND OUT. CHRYSLER HAD A RECALL ON THIS TOP AND THEY REPLACED HIS TOP FOR FREE AND GAVE HIM A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON IT. WHEN I CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL DEPARTMENT THEY SAID MY VIN# DID NOT QUALIFY FOR REPLACEMENT BECAUSE MY CAR WAS SHIPPED TO VIRGINIA AND NOT A SOUTHERN STATE. THAT IS PURE JUNK. A DEFECT IS A DEFECT NO MATTER WHERE THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY SHIPPED TO. IF I HAD A BIRTH DEFECT WOULD IT MATTER WHAT STATE I WAS BORN IN WHERE THE DEFECT ORIGINATED? NO, SOMEONE OUT THERE WOULD CARE AND NOT DISCRIMINATE. GIVE ME A BREAK CHRYSLER. GIVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DO THE RIGHT THING. I SENT A FEDEX LETTER TO TWO OF CHRYSLER'S ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICERS A WEEK AGO AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. I AM NOW GOING TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER WHO IS GOING TO REPLACE IT WITH A DEALER TOP FOR $2500 WITH A VERY LIMITED WARRANTY. I CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER TO REPLACE THIS TOP. THE DEALER IS BEING KIND AND GIVING ME A DISCOUNT BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT IS WRONG THAT THEIR COMPANY IS NOT REPLACING THIS DEFECTIVE TOP. THIS IS SO BAD. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL CAR. *JS

I PURCHASED THIS CAR THIS YEAR FROM A CHRYSLER EXECUTIVE WHO HAS OWNED IT FOR YEARS. SHE TOLD ME THAT WHILE DRIVING IT THE REAR GLASS WINDOW FELL OUT. THIS WAS HER DAILY DRIVER SO SHE HAD IT RE GLUED AS FAST AS SHE COULD SO SHE WOULD HAVE A CAR TO GET TO WORK.SHE DID NOT KNOW OF THE TSB ON THIS. TSB-23=035-11 CALLED X-31/ADHESION. I BOUGHT THE CAR THIS YEAR AND THE WINDOW IS LOOSE ON THE EDGES AND I AM AFRAID IT WILL FALL OUT AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. THEY SAID BECAUSE IT WAS ALREADY FIXED IT WOULD PROBABLY NOT BE COVERED. IS THIS TRUE? I BOUGHT THIS CAR TO BE A DAILY DRIVER, NOT A SUNNY DAY DRIVER.

THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR GLASS HAD SEPARATED FROM THE FABRIC CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

REAR WINDOW ADHESIVE FAILURE IN CONVERTIBLE TOP. CHRYSLER HAS ISSUED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLITIN # X31 WHICH COVERS COST OF REPAIRS BUT ONLY FOR CARS THAT WERE DELIVERED TO CERTAIN SOUTHERN STATES BUT, ALL 05 CROSSFIRES WERE BUILT IN THE SAME PLANT IN BELGIUM AND SHOULD BE COVERED. FAILURE OF ANY WINDOW IS NOT CONSIDERED NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. COVERING ONLY SOME VEHICLES IS UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICE. *JS

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND STATED THAT THE LOCK TUMBLER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,785.
THE BACK WINDOW IS FALLING AWAY FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE ADHESIVE IS NOT HOLDING THE BACK WINDOW IN PLACE. *TT
THE REAR WINDOW ON THE CONVERTIBLE TOP HAS COME UNGLUED AND IS FALLING OUT, THE DEFROSTER ON THE REAR WINDOW BECAME DISCONNECTED FROM THE WINDOW DUE TO THIS PROBLEM MAKING DEFROSTING OF THE REAR WINDOW IMPOSSIBLE AND HINDERS VISIBILITY. NOTHING UNUSUAL HAS BEEN DONE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS ISSUE OTHER THAN NORMAL USE.
THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BACK GLASS CAME UNGLUED AND FELL OUT THIS CAR ONLY HAS 29,000 MILES THE TOP AND THE CAR ARE IN LIKE NEW CONDITION BUT CHRYSLER WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.THIS CAR WAS SOLD NEW IN MICHIGAN SO IT IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE IT WOULD BE WARRANTIED IF IT WAS SOLD NEW HERE.THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN GERMANY AND THE US SELLING POINT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THIS SAME PROBLEM AND TO HAVE TO SPEND $3000.00 DOLLARS TO REPAIR THIS WHEN CHRYSLER IS ALREADY FIXING OTHERS IS JUST CRIMINAL. *JS
WENT OUT TO MY CAR AND FOUND THE REAR WINDOW GLASS HAD FALLEN OUT. BONDING ADHESIVE FAILURE. CHRYSLER HAD AN ILLOGICAL AND ARBITRARY TSB SET UP TO REPLACE THE CONVERTIBLE TOPS WITH REAR WINDOW ADHESIVE FAILURE BUT IT ONLY COVERED 2005 MODEL YEAR ROADSTERS AND A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF CARS THAT WERE ORIGINALLY DELIVERED TO DEALERS IN A NINE SELECTED STATES. THE REALITY IS THAT ALL CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTERS FROM 2005 TO 2008 MODEL YEARS WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE THEIR REAR WINDOW GLASS FALL OUT DUE TO THE FAILURE OF THE BONDING ADHESIVE. CHRYSLER'S "BAND AIDE" FIX WAS WOEFULLY INADEQUATE AND INEXPLICABLY LIMITED. *TR
GLASS BACK WINDOW FALLING OUT OF CONVERTIBLE TOP AND CHRYSLER IS REFUSING TO FIX THERE MANUFACTURE DEFECT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO THE DRIVER OF THE CAR AND OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE, THE KEY DOES NOT TURN. MY CAR DOES NOT TURN ON. THE STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKED. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE. THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY BIG ISSUE AS I FOUND POSTING FROM OTHER PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET WITH THE SAME ISSUE. ALL THE POSTING STATES THAT THE IGNITION GOES BAD WITHOUT ANY WARNING. CHRYSLER IS NOT ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE. I THINK THE IGNITION SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. *TR
THIA CAR'S PROBLEM MAY BE WITHTHE IGNITION. SOMETIME'S IT JUST WILL NOT START. WE PUT A NEW BATTERY IN IT ONLY TO FIND THAT THE BATTERY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN TO REPAIR THREE TIMES. THEY DID A THOROUGH CHECK AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG EACH TIME. THE FIRST TIME THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED. THEY SAID THEY DID NOT EXPERIENCE THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY HAD THE CAR. IT WASDRIVEN BACK HOME. ANOTHER TIME THE CAR JUST STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY (AT 35MPH) DOWNTOWN ATLANTA IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT MAY EITHER STOP OR JUST NOT START. *TR
I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR. THE CUP HOLDER IS STUCK IN THE VERTICAL POSITION RIGHT WHERE MY ELBOW GOES WHEN CONTROLLING THE SHIFTER THUS MAKING IT DIFFICULT AND POSSIBLY DANGEROUS TO DO SO. I WENT ON THE INTERNET TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS FROM CROSSFIRE OWNERS OF ALL YEARS ABOUT THIS VERY THING. CHRYSLER WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT INCLUDING JUST DISCONNECTING THE SPRING ON THE CUP HOLDER SO THAT IT WILL STAY DOWN. THE FIX IS OVER $300 IF YOU GET CHRYSLER TO DO IT, AND THEY INSTALL THE SAME DEFECTIVE PART AGAIN. NOT A GOOD FIX. I THINK IT IS DANGEROUS, VERY DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING. *TR
AS I WAS DRIVING ACROSS A BRIDGE ON THE INTER COASTAL WATERWAY IN MELBOURNE FLORIDA, THE TOP PIECE OF THE METAL WINDSHIELD MOLDING WAS BLOWN LOOSE FROM THE VEHICLE AND SLAMMED AGAINST THE TOP. IF THE TOP HAD BEEN DOWN, PASSENGERS COULD HAVE POSSIBLE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. DAMAGE TO OTHER VEHICLES COULD HAVE OCCURRED AND/OR INJURY TO PEDESTRIANS WAS POSSIBLE. I WAS NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THE METAL MOLDING. *TR

DROVE ABUT 6 MILE VERY CLOSE TO MY HOUSE CAR DIED ON STREET AGAIN. I CHECKED ON CROSS FIRE FORUM OTHER CROSSFIRE OWNER HAS SAME ISSUE. CRANK SHAFT SENSOR AND SENSOR CONNECTOR WIRE IS NOT CONNECTED PROPERLY TO THE COMPUTER BOARD. WHEN ENGINE GETS HOT CONNECTOR WIRE GETS LOOSE AND SHUT THE ENGINE DOWN IT HAPPENED THREE TIME IN LAST TWO WEEKS I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT DIES ALL THE SUDDEN WHILE DRIVING NOW IT IS SEATING IN MY GARAGE. *TR

I HAVE A 2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE REAR WINDOW IN THE TOP, IN NOV 2013 I NOTICE A SEPARATION OF THE TOP FROM THE REAR WINDOW AND TRIED TO GLUE IT CLOSED. AT THE TIME IT WAS A 1" GAP I WAS ABLE TO SEAL IT .NOW THE WINDOW HAS FELL OUT COMPLETELY. I CALL MY CHRYSLER DEALER (931-520-4121 IN COOKEVILLE ,TN) AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULDN'T FIX BECAUSE THE CAR CAME FROM MICHIGAN, IF IT HAD CAME FROM A SOUTHERN STATE THEY WOULD FIX ???. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,100.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH ONLY 26000 MILES ON IT THE BACK WINDSHIELD SEPARATED FROM THE CAR AT ONLY APPROXIMATELY 34000 MILES AND STILL CURRENTLY HANGING THERE. CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY REFUSED TO FIX, SAID CAR WAS SHIPPED TO SOME DEALER UP NORTH, SO IT DOES NOT QUALIFY TO BE FIXED? ADDITIONALLY, I ONLY HAVE 40000 MILES ON IT NOW AND THE KEY AND FOB, AS WELL AS LOCKS NO LONGER WORK, THE CAR SHUTS OFF BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, THE LIGHTS FLASH ON THE DASH AT ALL TIMES.
THE REAR WINDOW DELAMINATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AND IS FALLING OUT. CHRYSLER IS WELL AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND HAS ADMITTED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ADHESIVE. THEY HAVE FAILED TO RECALL THE TOPS OF THIS CAR AND IT A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THEY ARE HAND PICKING WHO GETS REPLACEMENT ROOFS. THE COST OF THE ROOF IS 2,000 CHRYSLER HAS AN X31 EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT COVERS THIS ISSUE BUT NOT EVERYONE QUALIFIES. THE CAR NEEDS A RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHAME ON CHRYSLER AND THEY'RE VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
CAME OUT OF A STORE TO FIND THE REAR WINDOW OF MY WIFE'S 2005 CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE HAD BECOME UNGLUED ALONG BOTH SIDES, THE BOTTOM & ALL BUT THE MIDDLE EDGE OF THE TOP. ON AUGUST 22, 2013, I DISCOVERED THE BACK WINDOW OF MY CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE WAS DETACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. I THOUGHT MY VEHICLE WAS VANDALIZED. I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE POLICE. THE POLICE INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CONCLUDED THAT IT APPEARS SOMEONE TRIED TO PUSH THE GLASS OUT. UPON INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE FROM MY INSURANCE COMPANY ON 9-3-13 AND REVIEWING THE WEBSITE ON 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE COMPLAINTS, THE ADJUSTER CONCLUDED THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURED DEFECT AND DENIED MY CLAIM. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS NORMAL WEAR AN TEAR AND NOT COVERED FOR REPAIRS BY CHRYSLER. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY DRIVEN FOR 28,277 MILES. I HAVE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN THAT THERE ARE OVER 25 SERIOUS COMPLAINTS IN REGARDS TO THE BACK WINDOWS OF THE 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE AND NOT ONE RECALL FROM CHRYSLER OR THE HIGHWAY PATROL. I AM ASKING CHRYSLER TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR OF THE BACK WINDOW ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE LIMITED EDITION. I TOOK MY CAR TO A GARAGE AND HE TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD CONTACT CHRYSLER. IF THE TOP IS UP, I CANNOT DRIVE FASTER THAN 45 MPH WITHOUT IT VIBRATING. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY HAZARD.
