CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE, ALL YEARS. REAR WINDOW DETACHES FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THIS IS NOT A SUDDEN INCIDENT, BUT ONE WHERE THE DETACHMENT IS GRADUAL. THE SAFETY ASPECT OF THIS PROBLEM RELATES TO WHEN FINALLY DETACHING COMPLETELY AND FALLING INSIDE THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER DISTRACTION COULD EASILY CAUSE A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. IF FALLING OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE, RESULTING AVOIDANCE MANUVERS BY DRIVERS OF FOLLOWING VEHICLES COULD LEAD TO VEHICLE ACCIDENTS. MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER HAS REFUSED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM ON MY FAST-DETACHING REAR WINDOW, AND HAS INSTEAD DIRECTED ME TO A CORVETTE REPAIR FACILITY WHERE THE REPAIR WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED AT MY EXPENSE. THE REAR WINDOW PROBLEM HAS BEEN WELL DOCUMENTED ON A CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE INTERNET FORUM WHERE MEMBERS DESCRIBE VARIOUS HOME FIXES ATTEMPTED, NONE WITH PERMANENT RESULTS. CHRYSLER SO FAR HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS SAFETY PROBLEM. *TR

I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE LIMITED EDITION CONVERTIBLE. AUG 23, 2010 I NOTICE THE GLUE SEAL AROUND THE REAR GLASS DRIED UP, WHICH CAUSED THE REAR GLASS TO FALL OUT AND POTENTIAL CAUSE SEVER PROBLEMS FOR THE DRIVER IF NOT CAUGHT IN TIME. THIS IS A KNOWN MANUFACTURES DEFECT, HOWEVER, CHRYSLER WILL NOT OWN UP TO THIS PROBLEM. MY TOP IS LIKE NEW AND IT IS CLEAR TO ME AND OTHERS THIS IS A MFG DEFECT IN THE ADHESIVE. IN MY OPINION, CHRYSLER IS SHIFTING GEARS TO THE CONSUMER AND HOPING THE ISSUE HAPPENS AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD. I AM UNDER THE MILEAGE WARRANTY, HOWEVER, I WAS INFORM THE 1ST OWNER OF THE CAR IS WHEN THE WARRANTY BEGINS, THEREFORE, THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY BASED ON THE YEARS AND NOT MILEAGE! THE REPLACEMENT COST IS $3500 FOR A NEW TOP AND GLASS. WE NEED HELP OUT HERE AND YOUR INVESTIGATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE 2005 REAR GLASS HAS DEFECTIVE GLUE THAT ALLOWS THE GLASS TO DETACH FROM THE CANVAS. IF THE GLASS BREAKS PASSENGERS COULD BE DECAPITATED. THIS IS MANUFACTURE DEFECT THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. *TR
REAR GLASS DETACHED FROM FABRIC ROOF (CONVERTIBLE) ON INTERSTATE. FORTUNATELY NOBODY FOLLOWING ME WAS INJURED. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTABLE WITH 55,000 MILES ON IT. THIS MORNIGN I WENT TO GET IN THE CAR AND THE BACK WINDOW HAD SEPARATED FROM THE ROOF AND WAS HANGING BY THE DEFROST CONNECTORS. I TOOK IT TO MY CHRYSLER DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY HAD HAD A FEW DO THAT. THE ONLY REMIDY WAS TO REPLACE THE WHOLE TOP! ($2500 !!!) IT SEEMS THE HEAT SEAL ADHESIVE USED TO HOLD THE WINDOW IN PLACE IS INADEQUATE. I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND FOUR MANY REPORTS OF THE SAME PROBLEM. IS CHRYSLER NOT WILLING TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND STAND GOOD FOR THEIR PRODUCT? *TR
2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE REAR WINDOW GLASS LOOSENED AND FELL OUT. IT APPEARS AS THOUGH GLUE RELEASED DUE TO HEAT BY THE WAY THE GLUE WAS "STRINGING" FROM TOP TO GLASS. CONTACT WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIPS, INCLUDING DEALER PURCHASED FROM, WITHOUT RELIEF OR SOLUTION OTHER THAN TOTAL REPLACEMENT. *TR
IGNITION KEY MECHANISM DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL BACK AND FORTH UNTIL IT RELEASES AND ALLOWS THE KEY TO START THE CAR. EVERYTIME THE CAR IS STOPPED, IT CAN TAKE UP TO 5 OR MORE MINUTES TO RESTART BY MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL BACK & FORTH WHILE TRYING TO TURN THE KEY. DEALERSHIP HAS NO ANSWERS. SAYS REPLACE PARTS ARE ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE WE PURCHASED THE CAR IN FEB OF 2009. *TR
IGNITION KEY MECHANISM "LOCKS" AND CANNOT BE TURNED TO START THE VEHICLE LEAVING USER STRANDED AND REQUIRING TOW. THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM EXPERIENCED BY MANY USERS OF THIS VEHICLE (SEE COMMENTS AT WWW.CROSSFIREFORUM.ORG; SEARCHFOR "IGNITION, LOCK, CYLINDER") AND APPEARS EVEN IN VEHICLES WITH VERY LOW MILEAGE. DEALER ADVICE IS TO REPLACE THE "IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER" WHICH IS A VERY EXPENSIVE PROPOSITION. SOME REPORT THAT THE NEW PART ALSO FAILS WITHIN A RELATIVELY SHORT TIME. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECTIVE COMPONENT THAT SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH A RELIABLE ONE. I WAS STUCK IN A PARKING LOT AT 112F (SOUTHWEST US LOCATION) FOR 1/2 HOUR TRYING TO GET THE IGNITION MECHANISM TO TURN. THE PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE DUE TO A STEERING WHEEL LOCKING PIN THAT BECOMES JAMMED. IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN, THEN IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. *TR
OWN 2005 CROSSFIRE AND THE GLASS IN THE SOFT TOP IS FALLING OUT. CHRYSLER REFUSING TO BE RESPONSIBLE. ONE ATTEMPT WAS ALREADY MADE TO REGLUE THE AREA COMING UNGLUED, BUT AFTER SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS AND 3 WEEKS LATER .. IT STILL IS FALLING OUT. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL AUTO REPAIR TOP PLACES THAT THE ENTIRE TOP WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED ... ESTIMATED COST $2500!!! THE BACK WINDOW OF MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CAME LOOSE FROM THE TOP OF THE CAR. IT WAS ONLY HELD TOGETHER BY A LINE OF GLUE, NOTHING ELSE HELD IT IN PLACE.THE DEALERSHIP ONLY GAVE ME REFERRALS TO WHERE I COULD REPLACE WHOLE TOP. *TR
I PURCHASED MY CONVERTIBLE CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ABOUT 2 1/2 YEARS AGO. ABOUT FIVE OR SIX WEEKS AGO I NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDOW HAD COME UNGLUED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A GLASS SHOP AND I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THE REPAIRMAN COULD DO BECAUSE THE WINDOW IS ATTACHED TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. HE SUGGESTED THAT I TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN UPHOLSTERY SHOP. I ACTUALL Y TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THREE DIFFERENT UPHOLSTRY SHOPS AND ALL THREE TOLD ME THAT THE TOP WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. I TRIED FILING AN INSURANCE CLAIM. THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO. I CONTACTED THE CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE WHERE I WAS GREETED BY A RUDE INDIVIDUAL TELLING ME THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CHRYSLER COULD DO. I AM NOW AT A POINT OF FRUSTRATION AND DISAPPOINTMENT. I STILL HAVE 1 1/2 LEFT TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON THIS VEHICLE THAT I WON'T BE ABLE TO DRIVE. *TR
2005 CRHYSLER CROSSFIRE REAR WINDOW PULLED AWAY FROM CANVAS. CANNOT BE REPAIRED. NEEDS A NEW ROOF AT A COST OF $2250. UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY, CHRYSLER DEALER CLAIMS NOT COVERED. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE YET CHRYSLER DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THIS PRODUCT. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE. THE REAR WINDOW FELL OUT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED BY CHRYSLER. IF WINDOW CAME OUT DURING A CRASH, THE GLASS WINDOW COULD SERIOUSLY INJURE THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER. A FLYING SHEET OF GLASS. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO FIX THIS DEFECT. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON LINE ABOUT THIS. THE OTHER THING IS THE COST OF REPAIR. THIS CAN ONLY BE FIXED BY REPLACING THE ENTIRE TOP FOR $2,000. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THERE SHOULD BE A CLASS ACTION SUIT ON THIS ISSUE. I GUESS CHRYSLER WILL WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO LOSE THEIR LIFE BEFORE TAKING ACTION. BUY AMERICAN, WHAT A JOKE!!! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE SRT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR HATCHBACK WINDOW FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE WINDOW WAS REPAIRED YET THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPAIRED THE WINDOW A SECOND TIME YET THE WINDOW FRACTURED AGAIN WITHIN ONE MONTH. THE DEALER THEN ADVISED HIM TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AGAIN AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD INSTALL A NEW CONVERTIBLE TO REMEDY THE FAILURE, AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,000.
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE LTD. ROADSTER THAT HAS JUST REACHED 50K MILES. THE REAR WINDSHIELD HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE SOFT TOP AND IS MERELY HOLDING ON BY THE WIRES FOR THE DEFROSTER. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT BUT CHRYSLER DECLINES REPLACING IT AS A DEFECT. I HAVE CONTACTED AUTO UPHOLSTERY BUSINESSES TO REPAIR THE WINDOW AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM AND THAT A NEW TOP HAS TO BE PURCHASED WHICH WILL COST ME $2000 FOR THE TOP AND THEY MUST HAVE THE CAR FOR 10 DAYS (INCLUDE ANOTHER $400 FOR RENTAL CAR FEES). FORTUNATELY THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN THE CAR WAS PARKED AND NOT WHILE I WAS DRIVING FOR IT COULD HAVE ENDED UP IN WORSE PROPERTY DAMAGE OR A CAR CRASH. *TR

THE REAR WINDOW IS FALLING OUT OF MY 2005 CROSSFIRE ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE. IT IS A GLUED IN WINDOW AND THE GLUE HAS FAILED. WE WERE TOLD TODAY BY CHRYSLER THAT IT WAS NOT WARRANTIED AND COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. THE ONLY SOLUTION THEY OFFER IS TO BUY A NEW TOP FOR OVER $2100. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. NOT ONLY IS IT UNREASONABLY EXPENSIVE TO REMEDY, IT IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE. THE TOP COULD EASILY FLY OUT, INJURING A PASSENGER OR SOMEONE IN ANOTHER VEHICLE. CHRYSLER SHOULD OFFER A REASONABLE SOLUTION TO TAKE CARE OF THIS AS IT IS OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN DEFECT AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. *TR

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE GLASS ADHESIVE WAS NOT SECURING THE WINDOW IN PLACE AS IT SHOULD; YET, THE ENTIRE ROOF NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. REPORT 1958523 WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER WHO ALSO OFFERED THE CONTACT $727.00 TOWARD THE ESTIMATED REPAIR COST OF $ 1,400.00. THE VEHICLE WILL BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 34,900.
I OWN A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE. IT HAS 27,434 MILES ON IT. THE BACK GLASS WINDOW CAME UNGLUED AND PARTIALLY FELL INTO THE REAR DECK. IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED WITH ADDITIONAL GLUE. THE REMAINDER OF THE TOP IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. IT IS NOW COSTING ME $2850.00 FOR A NEW TOP. CLEARLY, THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW AND SAFETY HAZARD. A RECALL IS IN ORDER. *TR

BACK GLASS COMPLETELY FELL OUT OF 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE TOP. THE REST OF THE TOP IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. I HAVE SEARCHED AROUND AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON ISSUE SUFFERED BY CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE OWNERS. I HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED ANY ASSISTANCE FROM THE DEALERSHIP, AND IT IS CLEAR THIS IS A DEFECTIVE ISSUE. *TR
THE GLASS FROM THE TOP OF MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTER SUNK IN AS THE GLUE FROM MANUFACTURER DID NOT HOLD UP. IT IS UNDER A MAXIMUM COVERAGE WARRANTY FROM CHRYSLER AND THEY STILL DID NOT WANT TO COVER THE REPAIR B/C IT IS MATERIAL. HOWEVER, IT IS THE WAY MANUFACTURER MADE THE CAR(WITH A SOFT TOP) THEREFORE THE WARRANTY SHOULD COVER THE TOP EVEN IF ITS CLOTH B/C IT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. *TR
THE BACK WINDOW IN MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE CONVERTIBLE FELL OUT. IT WAS GLUED IN AT THE FACTORY, NOT STITCHED OR BOLTED. REPAIR SHOPS WILL NOT WARRANTY THE WORK, STATING THAT IT WILL FALL OUT AGAIN WITHIN 6 MONTHS BECAUSE THE GLUE THEY CAN USE TO REPAIR THE WINDOW IS NOT AS STRONG AS WHAT IS USED IKN THE FACTORY. CHRYSLER SAYS THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM IS TO INSTALL A NEW ROOF. THEY STATE THE PROBLEM IS RAMPED AND STEMS FROM A DESIGN FLAW. CHRYSLER HAS CORRECTED THE DESIGN FLAW AND DOES NOT WARRANTY THE 2005 VEHICLE. NO WARRANTY, NO DISCOUNT ON PARTS, NO SPLIT OF FEES, JUST...BUY A NEW ROOF. *TR
IN 2009, I PURCHASED A 2005 CROSSFIRE, IT WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH ONLY 32000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE KEPT IT IN MY GARAGE. THIS LAST APRIL, I NOTICED THE REAR GLASS WINDOW BEGAN TO SEPARATE FROM THE CANVAS TOP. I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT IT IS ONLY SUPPORTED BY ADHESIVE GLUE. IT IS A GLASS WINDOW, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING, IT NEEDS BETTER SUPPORT. CHRYSLER HAS BEEN OF LITTLE HELP AND I HATE TO REPLACE DUE TO THE COST DUE AND BECAUSE THE TOP ITSELF IS STILL IN GOOD CONDITION. THEY NEED TO REMEDY THIS AS IT SEEMS TO BE A DEFECT. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE. MY CAR WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE AND WHEN I WENT OUT INTO THE GARAGE IN THE AFTERNOON ON APRIL 2, 2010 I NOTICED THE REAR WINDOW IN MY CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS PARTIALLY DISLODGED FROM THE ROOF FABRIC. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED IT IMMEDIATELY AND WAS TOLD BY THEIR SERVICE DEPT. THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT IT WOULD COST $2,200 PLUS TAX TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ROOF. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THE ADHESIVE HOLDING THE WINDOW TO THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS DEFECTIVE RESULTING IN IT COMING UNGLUED. I PURCHASED THE 7-70000 MAXIMUM CARE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR $2,226 AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. MY CHRYSLER DEALER HAS TOLD ME THAT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THERE IS NO WHERE IN THE WARRANTY THAT SAYS THIS IS NOT COVERED. I HAVE WRITTEN TO CHRYSLER CORP. AT 27777 INKSTER ROAD FARMINGTON HILLS, MI 48334, THE DIRECTOR OF DAMLIER CHRYSLER SERVICE WARRANTIES, P. O. BOX 2700, TROY, MICHIGAN 48007-2700 AND FLORIDA DEPT. OF INSURANCE SERVICE WARRANTIES, 200 E. GAINES ST., TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA 32399 AND HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM ANYONE. I HAVE 19,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE AND IT IS CONTINUOUSLY GARAGED. FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A COMPLAINT ON A 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTER THAT WAS JUST PURCHASED IN JUNE 2009. I WAS LOOKING IN MY REAR VIEW MIRROR ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND NOTICED A SMALL QUARTER INCH GAP BETWEEN MY CONVERTIBLE TOP AND MY REAR WINDOW. WHEN I INSPECTED THE VEHICLE, I ALSO NOTICED ANOTHER GAP THAT WAS ON THE LEFT DRIVER SIDE OF MY REAR WINDOW. THIS GAP IS ABOUT 2 INCHES WIDE AND I CAN LITERALLY STICK MY HAND ON THE INSIDE OF MY CAR. IT SEEMS THAT THE HEAT HERE IN TEXAS HAS MELTED THE GLUE TO THE POINT THAT THE WINDOW IS BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP'S CANVAS MATERIAL. SO, I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE ON MONDAY MORNING AND THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO VISIT A DEALER TO SEE IF THEY COULD FIX THE WINDOW. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT AFTERNOON AND THEY TOLD ME (VERBATIM) "WE DON'T BOTHER WORKING ON THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE, WE REFER CROSSFIRES TO AN UPHOLSTERY SHOP!" SO, THE NEXT MORNING WHICH WAS TUESDAY, I CONTACT CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN, TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID "PLEASE GO TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP." SO I WENT AGAIN THAT TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND THIS TIME THEY LOOKED AT MY VEHICLE AND SAID THEY WOULD CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GET BACK WITH ME THE NEXT DAY. I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY, WEDNESDAY, SAYING THAT IT IS GOING TO COST $3,000 PLUS TAX TO REPAIR. THEY CAN'T JUST GLUE THE WINDOW BACK IN, THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE TOP. CHRYSLER ALSO DENIED A GOODWILL REPLACEMENT BECAUSE IT WAS DEEMED UNNECESSARY, AND MY WARRANTY JUST EXPIRED LIKE 20 MILES AGO. THE TOP IS ON BACK ORDER, AS I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP, SO IT COULD BE A WHILE BEFORE I WOULD EVEN BE ABLE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A HALF GLUED REAR WINDOW, THAT CAN FALL OUT AND BUST INSIDE MY CAR AT ANY POINT. IT IS NOT ONLY A HAZARD TO ME, BUT ALSO TO ANY PASSENGERS, PEDESTRIANS OR MOTORIST AROUND ME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE NUMEROUS TIMES. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY YET THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER BUT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 97,113.
IN MID 2009 I NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDOW GLASS IN MY 2005 CHRYSLER CROSSFIRE ROADSTER WAS DELAMINATING FROM THE CANVAS APPARENTLY DUE TO A POOR ADHESIVE BOND. I WAS ABLE TO RE-ATTACH IT MYSELF AFTER I WAS REFUSED SERVICE BY MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER DUE TO "ADHESIVES AND THE SOFT TOP ARE NOT COVERED". HE CITED "ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS CAN NOT BE CONTROLLED" AND ARE EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY SERVICE. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED IN GEORGIA AT A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND IS KEPT GARAGED. IT IS DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 4500 MILES PER YEAR, AND IS IMMACULATE. THE TOP IS SEPARATING AGAIN AND AFTER CONTACTING CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE, I WAS TOLD THAT MINE IS EXCLUDED FROM A RECENT "PARTIAL" RECALL FOR CARS ONLY MANUFACTURED ON "CERTAIN PRODUCTION LINES" IN MICHIGAN. OR ORIGINALLY DELIVERED TO A FEW "HOT" STATES. MINE WAS APPARENTLY DELIVERED TO MICHIGAN. DOES THIS MEAN I CAN'T DRIVE IT SOUTH PAST COLUMBUS, OHIO? THIS IS A BALD FACED LIE. EVERY ONE OF THESE CARS WERE MANUFACTURED AND ASSEMBLED IN OSNABRUCK, GERMANY, AND SHIPPED HERE. THE WINDOW IS ABOUT TO FALL OUT AND WILL LOOK VERY STYLISH IN THE GRILL OF THE CAR BEHIND ME. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN AT-FAULT WRECK ON JULY 10, 2009. MY FOOT SLIPPED OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP MY SLOWING CAR. I CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A UPS TRUCK. MY CHEST SLAMMED INTO THE STEERING WHEEL BECAUSE THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE PASSENGER'S AIRBAG DID. THE POLICE AND FIREMAN WERE EXTREMELY SHOCKED AND IT IS WRITTEN UP THE POLICE ACCIDENT REPORT. I NEED HELP IN CONTACTING CHRYSLER CONCERNING THIS INCIDENT. MY CAR WAS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD AND HAD ONLY 46,000 MILES ON IT. I AM NOW DISABLED AND CAN NO LONGER WORK TO SUPPORT MYSELF. THE HOSPITAL SENT ME HOME FROM THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND PAIN CONTINUED TO WORSEN IN MY NECK AND LOWER BACK UNTIL I WAS FORCED TO STOP WORKING AFTER 33 YEARS IN THE SAFETY FIELD. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL ATTORNEYS AND THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THEY WILL NOT TAKE THE CASE BECAUSE CHRYSLER IS IN BANKRUPTCY. BIG DEAL! THEY ARE STILL SELLING CARS!!!!! THE GOVERNMENT BAILED THEM OUT TO THE TUNE OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, THEIR EXECUTIVES STILL RECEIVED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN BONUSES, ETC. AND I, AN OWNER OF ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES, WHICH I LONGED FOR SINCE IT WAS RELEASE AND AM NOW DISABLE DUE TO A MALFUNCTION OF THE AIRBAG, WHICH IS DOCUMENTED BY POLICE. THIS WILL NOT BE MY FINAL EFFORT TO RECEIVE DAMAGES FROM CHRYSLER.
