MY 2006 PACIFICA ENGINE CRADLE HAS BEEN RUSTING FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND NOW NEEDS REPLACED. I CALLED CHRYSLER A YEAR AGO. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH PACIFICAS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND A STRUCTURAL DEFECT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE COULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK LEVER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 27,900.
ABS WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR OVER A YEAR. IT COMES ON WITHIN 3 MINUTES OF DRIVING, WHICH DISENGAGES MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. MECHANIC ADVISED I GET MY ABS SENSORS REPLACED, BUT IT'S BOTH VERY EXPENSIVE AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN AGAIN IN NO TIME SINCE THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE WITH PACIFICAS. THIS MODEL MUST BE RECALLED SINCE THE INTEGRITY OF MY BRAKING SYSTEM IS COMPROMISED AND PUTS MYSELF AND THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AT RISK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WERE NO WARNINGS BEFORE THE FAILURE OCCURRED, BUT THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE OIL WAS CHANGED AND THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALER WHO STATED THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 79,200.
VEHICLE GEAR SHIFT STUCK IN PARK EVEN THOUGH BRAKE IS DEPRESSED. TRIED ROCKING THE VEHICLE BACK AND FORTH TO SEE IF IT WAS STUCK IN GEAR, NO CHANGE. I CONDUCTED AN INTERNET SEARCH FOR THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT SEVERAL CHRYSLER AND DODGE PRODUCTS HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. CAUSE: A SMALL PINK PIECE OF PLASTIC THAT HAS A SPRING ATTACHED TO IT, WHICH IS A GEAR LOCKING MECHANISM, TENDS TO BREAK AT ABOUT 40-60 THOUSAND MILES OR SOONER. THERE ARE NO CHRYSLER RECALLS FOR THIS ITEM. THE PIECE SEEMS TO COST ABOUT $2.00 FOR CHRYSLER TO MAKE HOWEVER, ONE WILL PAY $300-$400 OR MORE FOR THE DEALER TO FIX. TAKES MINUTES TO REPLACE IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. ONE CAN FIND THE PART ONLINE AND REPLACE WITH METAL SO THAT IT WILL NOT BREAK AGAIN FOR ABOUT $50. CHRYSLER COMPLAINT LINE STATES THAT THEY WILL NOT FIX UNLESS NHTSB FILES A RECALL COMPLAINT. THEN I MAY GET REIMBURSED FOR MY COST. THE PINK PLASTIC PIECE CAN BREAK AT ANY TIME LEAVING THE DRIVER STRANDED ANYWHERE AT ANY TIME, E.G. THE DRIVE THRU., PARKING STRUCTURE AT NIGHT, ETC.. *TR
ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THEN THE GASCAP LIGHT CAME ON. WAS TIME FOR INSPECTION AND NATURALLY IT FAILED. IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO REPAIR SHOP, THEY CHECKED IT OVER AND JUST REPLACED THE GASCAP. ALL LIGHTS WERE OFF SO TOOK IT BACK FOR INSPECTION. IT PASSED AMAZINGLY. LATER THAT DAY, THE GASCAP LIGHT CAME BACK ON. DROVE A NUMBER OF MONTHS WITH LIGHT ON KNOWING IT WAS A NEW GASCAP AND IT NEEDED A SMOKE TEST TO FIND THE LEAK. HAD ALTERNATOR REPLACED AND ALSO A NEW RIGHT SIDE FUEL PUMP WITH THE FUEL HOSE FROM VENT ON PRIMARY TO FUEL PUMP VENT NIPPLE ON OTHER SIDE. THEY WERE AMAZED THAT I HADN'T SMELLED FUEL LEAKING. ALSO AMAZED THERE WAS NO FIRE. THIS IS A SERIOUS FAULT AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY CHRYSLER AFTER READING ALL THE OTHER SAME PROBLEMS. PLEASE CHRYSLER, DO THE RIGHT THING!! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HAVING REGULAR MAINTENANCE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, SHE WAS ADVISED THAT ALL MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BROKEN. THE MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE REASON WHY THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
I HAD A FLAT TIRE ON THE FRONT DRIVER WHEEL, ME AND MY FRIENDS STARTED CHANGING THE TIRE AND THE JACK COULD NOT TAKE THE WEIGHT OF THE CAR, AND THE CARD FELL DOWN EVEN THOUGH THE JACK WAS UNDER IT. I WAS ALMOST INJURED. THE JACK IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE CAR, IT IS VERY CHEAP. I HAVE SOME PICTURES OF IT. THE JACK COULD NOT HOLD THE CAR. UPDATED 03/12/12 *BF *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, ALL OF THE WARNING SYMBOLS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE ANTI LOCK BRAKING LIGHT BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE AND THERE WAS A WARNING CHIME. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONLY WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
FRONT ENGINE MOUNT SEPARATES UNDER HEAVY ACCELERATION OR TOWING CAUSING ENGINE TO RAISE UP AND COLLIDE INTO FIREWALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL SPILLED OUT FROM THE FILLER NECK WHILE REFUELING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS EQUIPPED TO HOLD TWENTY GALLONS, BUT WOULD ONLY ACCEPT TEN GALLONS. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE RAN OUT OF FUEL AND STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ONLY WAY TO REMEDY THE FAILURE WAS TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER ALSO ADMITTED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH THE PROPER FUEL TANK. THE VIN WAS NOT UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC TO HAVE THE FAILURE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN: AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM)) AND DENIED ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIRS. I FIRST NOTICED MY HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING AND MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON SO I TOOK IT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIMED TO HAVE DONE MANY TESTS AND FOUND NOTHING WRONG, I THEN CONTINUED USING MY PACIFICA BUT ONLY TO HAVE THE PROBLEM NOT ONLY CONTINUE BUT ALSO TO GET WORSE MY BRAKE LIGHT AND ABS LIGHTS ON MY DASH STARTED TO FLICKER ON AND OFF AND THEN THERE WAS CHIME INDICATING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM AND I ALSO HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE COMING THROUGH MY STEREO BUT THE WEIRD THING IS MY STEREO WAS OFF. I SINCE TOOK MY PACIFICA TO ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND LEFT IT WITH THEM AND AGAIN THEY CLAIM THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WHICH AGAIN COSTED ME MORE MONEY FOR NOTHING. I AGAIN TOOK MY PACIFICA AND USED IT WHEN THE PROBLEM CONTINUED WITHALL THE SAME PROBLEMS BUT THIS TIME MY FUEL GAUGE DROPPED TO EMPTY AND MY DTE DISTANCE UNTIL EMPTY DROPPED TO ZERO AND MY TRUCK SHUT OFF AS I WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND I NEARLY GOT INVOLVED INTO AN ACCIDENT WITH SEVERAL VEHICLES. I AM NOT ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE BUT ALSO FOR MY SAFETY AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD. I HAVE AGIN CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THIS TIME I PROVIDED A VIDEO OF THE LIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS WHICH INCLUDED THE NOISE COMING THROUGH MY STEREO THAT I RECORDER WITH MY IPHONE THEY AGAIN MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME TO BRING MY PACIFICA BACK IN AND THEY MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR TIME ONCE AGIAN UNTIL THEY CAN FIND THE PROBLEM AND AT WHICH TIME THEY SAID THE WARRANTY COMPANY WOULD COVER THE COSTS. MY CONCERN IS FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN READING IN THESE COMPLAINT POSTS IS THAT THEY WILL FIND NOTHING AND I WILL WALK AWAY WITH EMPTY POCKETS. *TT..UPDATED 04/18/13 *BF
2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAS HAD OIL CHANGES EVERY 3000 MILES AND WENT TO HAVE OIL CHANGED AND ALL THE OIL IS GONE FROM ENGINE. LEAKING OUT OF TAIL PIPE. ENGINE SEALS ARE GONE. NOT SURE WHAT THE REPAIR PROCESS IS YET BUT IT SEEMS THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO REPAIR THESE VEHICLES..... *TR
THIS LAST FRIDAY, THE 11/18/11, WAS THE LAST INCIDENT WHERE IT FINALLY STALLS COMPLETELY AND I HAVE TO MOVE OUT OF TRAFFIC. FOR OVER A MONTH NOW, THE GAS GAUGE HAS DROPPED TO ZERO (WHEN I KNOW I HAVE GAS IN THERE) SO I HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THAT ON THE SIDE, THE ELECTRICAL TRIP MILEAGE GAUGE SAYS GAS CAP, CHECKED IT, KIND OF JITTERY, WHERE IT WOULD JERK AND NOT ACCELERATE ON THE ROAD, UNTIL THIS LAST FRIDAY WHEN I TURNED A CORNER, AND IT JUST STALLED. STARTED IT UP, AND WENT DOWN THE ROAD AND AS SOON AS I ACCELERATED IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC, IT STALLED AGAIN, PULLED OFF THE ROAD TOWARDS ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND SAT FOR A MOMENT, GENTLEMAN STOPPED TO HELP ME, AND SAID IT MIGHT BE OVERHEATING, TO TURN MY HEATER ON AND LEAVE IT RUNNING SINCE I STILL HAD SEVERAL MILES TO GO TO GET HOME AND EVERYONE WAS GONE AT THE HOUSE. SO I TURNED IT BACK ON AND HEATED IT UP AND AWAY I WENT, GOT ABOUT A MILE AND IT STALLED AGAIN, SO I WENT ON THE SHOULDER AND COASTED FOR ABOUT ANOTHER MILE AND STARTED IT UP AND COASTED IT AGAIN, 'TIL I GOT TO OUR SMALL TOWN AND STARTED IT UP, WENT TO TAKE A CORNER, AND IT STALLED ON THE CORNER, SO I COASTED A BIT AGAIN, AND STARTED UP, AND WENT DOWN ABOUT A MILE, PUT INTO NEUTRAL (SO NOT TO USE GAS AND ACCELERATE) AROUND THE CORNER AND WENT DOWN ABOUT ANOTHER MILE, PUT INTO NEUTRAL AGAIN, TOOK THE CORNER, BACK INTO DRIVE AND DOWN THE ROAD TO THE HOUSE, TOOK ANOTHER TURN IN NEUTRAL, AND COASTED INTO THE DRIVE WAY. I'VE NOTICED THAT THERE IS A RECALL WITH 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FOR THE FUEL PUMP AND CONTROL MODULE WITH POWER TRAIN. ACCORDING TO WWW.MOTORTREND.COM RECALL ID#57629 POWERTRAIN:AT:CONTROL MODULE (TCM,PCM). IT IS SITTING AND WANT IT FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEFORE ME DRIVING WITH THE KIDS IN THE CAR AND I CAN'T MAKE IT OUT IN AN INTERSECTION BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER AND THEIR PARTS/RECALL. OTHERWISE, I'LL LOOK INTO LEGAL ACTION. *TR

THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER TO FIND OUT WHEN THE REPLACEMENT SEAT COVER WOULD BE SHIPPED, BUT THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO VIEW A WEBSITE THAT REQUIRED A FEE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNRESPONSIVE AND NOT HELPFUL REGARDING THE SEAT COVER RECALL FAILURE.
ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO MY CAR WOULD NOT STOP COMPLETELY WHEN BRAKING. I WOULD LET OFF BRAKES AND REAPPLY & IT STILL DID NOT STOP PROMPTLY. ABS LIGHT CAME ON & ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER REPAIR CENTER IN DELRAY BEACH FLORIDA. THEY SAID MY NVL PUMP & ABS SENSOR NEEDED REPLACED. THEY ALSO SAID IF I DO NOT REPLACE THE NVL PUMP MY CAR WILL BEGIN TO STALL. THE CAR BEGAN STALLING ABOUT 3-4 WEEKS LATER. IT HAPPENED ABOUT 4-6 TIMES AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHEN THE CAR WAS AT IDOL. I HAD THE PUMP REPLACED BY ANOTHER MECHANIC A FEW WEEKS LATER. THE CAR KEPT STALLING AFTER THE PART WAS REPLACED. THEN THE CAR STARTED COMPLETELY LOCK UP & TURN OFF RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. I HAVE NO POWER, NO STEERING...NOTHING. I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVEN'T BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT YET! I TOOK IT BACK IN TO 3 DIFFERENT MECHANICS FOR AN INSPECTION & DIAGNOSTIC. ALL THREE MECHANICS SAY NOW I HAVE O2 SENSORS & MOUNTS THAT ARE BAD. THEY ALL SAY THAT EVERYTHING ELSE IS FINE.THEY ALL 3 SAY THE MOUNTS & O2 SENSORS DOESN'T EXPLAIN WHY THE CAR STALLS & LOCKS UP/TURNS OFF WHILE DRIVING. MY LAST MECHANIC RAN A RECALL SEARCH FOR MY CAR & FOUND A RECALL FOR MY MAKE & MODEL THAT COMPLETELY EXPLAINS MY PROBLEM. HOWEVER WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER BACK IN THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY THEY SAID MY VIN # DOES NOT QUALIFY?!?!? I CALLED CHRYSLER HOME OFFICE TO SEE IF THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ERROR AS TO WHY MY CAR IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL & THEY HAVEN'T CALLED BACK. HOW CAN CHRYSLER NOT HONOR THIS DEFECT IN MY CAR WHEN IT HONORS IT IN OTHERS. IT IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE 2 CHILDREN THAT I DRIVE AROUND. I NEED MY CAR TO BE SAFE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THAT MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH MY CAR HAVE THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS. CHRYSLER OBVIOUSLY IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT DEAL WITH IT. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED COMPLETELY TO THE LEFT. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT BEGAN TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS SUCCESSFULLY PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND A TOW TRUCK WAS NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE FAILED. THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE MECHANIC STATED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM, PCM)) THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS TO FLICKER ERRONEOUSLY. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WHEN AT A STOP. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER OR A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST OR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT CHANGED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR BUT NONE OF THE REPAIRS REMEDIED THE PROBLEM. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE TRAVELING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT'S KNEE INADVERTENTLY STRUCK THE IGNITION SWITCH AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER AND STALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. . WE ARE EXPERIENCING PERIODIC FLICKERING OF ANY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT THAT WAS ON (DASHBOARD LIGHTS, DOME LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS, RADIO, HVAC) AND THE INTERMITTENT ABS AND BRAKE ALARMS THAT MAY FOLLOW. WE ALSO HEAR A LOUD CLICK IN THE RADIO SPEAKERS. WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO OUR LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DIAGNOSE BECAUSE THEY CANT VERIFY THE PROBLEM AND IT DOESN'T LEAVE ANY COMPUTER CODES BEHIND. I KNOW WE'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES WITH THIS ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING MY PACIFICA AT 60 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY JERKED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE WAS REVVING HIGH SO I SLOWED DOWN AND IT WAS TACKING AT 6000 RPM WHILE ONLY GOING 40 MPH. I TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID THERE WAS INTERNAL DAMAGE AND THEY WANTED $1000 JUST TO DROP THE TRANSMISSION BEFORE THEY FIXED ANYTHING.THIS OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE HAD 80000 MILES ON IT. WHEN IT ONLY HAD 36000 MILES THE ENGINE THREW A ROD AND I HAD TO SPEND $3000 FOR A NEW ENGINE. I'VE SINCE LEARNED THAT PACIFICA'S BURN A QUART OF OIL ABOUT EVERY 1000 MILES. I WOULD HAVE CHECKED THE OIL MORE OFTEN HAD I KNOWN THIS. I TRADED IT IN RATHER THEN REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. BUT NOT ON A CHRYSLER. *TR

MY 2006 PACIFICA WILL GO FROM A HALF A TANK OF FUEL TO NO FUEL IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. THIS HAS LEFT US STRANDED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD A NUMBER OF TIMES, SOMETIMES IN VERY DANGEROUS PLACES WITH MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR. THE SADDLE TANK IS A VERY BAD DESIGN, WITH THE TRANSFER PUMP. WHEN WE ARE STRANDED ON THE ROAD SIDE, IF YOU CRAWL UNDER THE CAR ONE SIDE OF THE TANK IS HOLLOW EMPTY AND THE OTHER SIDE IS COMPLETELY FULL, YET WE ARE WAITING ON SOMEONE TO BRING US GAS. WHEN YOU TRY TO REFUEL THE CAR IT WILL ONLY TAKE 3 OR 4 GALLONS BEFORE THE PUMP SHUTS OFF. TO FINISH YOU HAVE TO ALMOST TRICKLY THE GAS IN THE VERY TOP OF THE FILLER TUBE. AFTER THIS, THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMAL. TOOK VEHICLE TO PEPBOYS ON THE SAME DAY AND THEY DIAGNOSED A 420 AND A 700 FAULT CODE. ON THURSDAY APRIL 14, 2011 TOOK VEHICLE TO ALLIANCE CHRYSLER DEALER IN FT. WORTH, TX. I EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND MENTIONED THAT MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME SYMPTOMS DESCRIBED IN THE PCM/FUEL PUMP RECALL ISSUED AGAINST 2006 PACIFICAS. I ALSO MENTIONED THAT THIS RECALL DID NOT COVER MY VEHICLE WHICH THEY CONFIRMED. HOWEVER, I RAISED CONCERNS ON WHETHER THE RECALL APPLICABILITY NEEDED TO BE EXPANDED TO COVER OTHER PACIFICAS. THE DEALER HAS YET TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM BESIDES TELLING ME THAT THEY CONFIRMED A 420 AND 700 FAULT CODE WHICH THEY STATED WOULD REQUIRE ME TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING SOLENOID. I QUESTIONED WHETHER THE SUDDEN STALL OF THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A MISLEADING FAULT CODE. DEALER TECHNICIAN MENTIONED THAT THE STALL COULD HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY A FAULTY TRANSMISSION SOLENOID. I MENTIONED THAT MY VEHICLE HAD SHOWN NO INDICATION OF A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM WITH THE GEAR SHIFT. BESIDES, IF A FAULTY TRANSMISSION SHIFT SOLENOID IS CAPABLE OF CAUSING A VEHICLE STALL, THEN THIS VEHICLE HAS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW SINCE A STALL WHILE DRIVING COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR A CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT. DRIVERS SIDE HEADLAMP WORKED INTERMITTANTLY AND THEN LOST POWER. THERE IS NO POWER LEADING TO THE LOW BEAM HEADLAMP ASSY. 2005 MODELS HAD A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT PROBLEM, BUT CHRYSLER TELLS ME THAT MY 2006 SHOWS NO RECALLS PER MY VIN. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS THAT MY HEADLIGHTS CAN FAIL WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE A CRASH. ALSO REPLACING BULBS WILL NOT HELP THIS SITUATION BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS IN THE INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (FUSE BOX). THE FEELING IS VERY MUCH LIFE THREATENING TO ME AND MY FAMILY AS IF WE ARE BEING DRAGGED TO OUR DEATH. IT IS NOT A SAFE FEELING, I HAVE TO DRIVE MY CHILDREN TO AND FROM THEIR ACTIVITIES AND SCHOOL. A COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE HAPPENED TODAY 5/20/12 WHILE I WAS DRIVING WITH MY KIDS AND I ALMOST HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WILL ACTUALLY STOP WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKE. I HAVE BEEN RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM AND HAVE FOUND DOZENS OF OTHERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR ABS LIGHT. MANY ARE HAVING SPEED SENSORS REPLACED WITHOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM OTHERS ARE BEING TOLD THAT THEY NEED BRAKES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS. CHRYSLER IS IGNORING THE PROBLEM AND THAT BRAKES FAILURE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. GOD PLEASE, I DO NOT WANT TO END UP HAVING ANOTHER ACCIDENT WITH THEM IN THE CAR AS IT HAPPENED TODAY ONE TODAY. IT REALLY CONCERNS ME THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE YET. I AM PLEADING TO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, TAKE THIS PROBLEM SERIOUSLY AND TO SAVE LIVES OF THESE MANY OWNERS AND FAMILIES OF THE 2006 PACIFICA. *TR
