Traveling on an interstate at 75 mph (posted speed limit) and a warning popped up telling us to pull over bc the engine will shut off. We lost acceleration and could not continue with the flow of traffic. Had to cross through multiple lanes of traffic without the ability to accelerate. This has happened several times in this vehicle. I feel unsafe driving.
I was traveling on the freeway at approximately 65 miles per hour. I slowed to approximately 50 miles per hour to pass a disabled vehicle and began accelerating again when the dash displayed a message that said "Stop Safely- Vehicle will Shut off soon" the check engine light, a red turtle light also lit up. I had to make a quick maneuver to the far right lane putting myself and other vehicles at risk to avoid the car shutting down in the middle of the freeway. I wanted to get closer to an exit so I continued driving slowly on the shoulder. The wouldn’t accelerate, so whatever speed I let it get down to was the fastest it would go. At the exit I was concerned I wouldn’t have enough power to make it up the hill so I shut off the car. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and then turned it back on. It turned on with the check engine light still on . I then drove it straight to the dealership using surface streets and keeping my speed around 40-45 miles per hour. This was the second time this vehicle has experience this kind of loss of power. The first time happened in July 2024 and resulted in a full transmission replacement. This incident constitutes a dangerous loss of motive power at highway speeds. The failure mode appears identical to the issues described in NHTSA Safety Recall 23V-010 (Chrysler Recall 03A), yet this vehicle has already had a full transmission replacement for this exact issue in the past.
While driving on the highway, the vehicle unexpectedly entered “limp mode”. Approximately 10 seconds before the vehicle reduced power, a warning message appeared indicating the vehicle was about to shut down. This created a dangerous situation because we were traveling in the middle lane of a highway with vehicles moving at significantly higher speeds on both sides. We were able to carefully move to the side of the road and eventually exit the highway; however, the vehicle was limited to approximately 15–20 mph and could not safely travel at normal speeds due to limp mode. There is an existing recall related to this issue. The vehicle had already received the software update that provides advance warning before shutdown. While the warning is helpful, it does not address the underlying safety issue, which appears to be related to a hardware problem involving faulty transmission wiring rather than software alone.
I would like to submit a formal complaint regarding the inadequate rental reimbursement being provided while a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is undergoing recall repairs (Recall No. 226 – Ejection Mitigation). I took my vehicle to the dealership for recall repairs on March 12, 2026. The dealership does not provide loaner or rental vehicles. Chrysler Customer Care representatives advised that rental reimbursement would be limited to 60 per day. However, the actual cost of obtaining transportation exceeds this amount. Even a significantly smaller compact vehicle currently costs approximately 69 per day to rent. A comparable vehicle to the Chrysler Pacifica, such as a minivan or similar family-sized vehicle, is substantially more expensive than the reimbursement amount being offered. As a result, a compact vehicle that is significantly smaller and not comparable to the Chrysler Pacifica had to be rented. This vehicle does not meet the same functional needs, comfort level, or standard of transportation normally relied upon. Additionally, the difference between the rental cost and the reimbursement limit must be paid out-of-pocket. This situation creates an unfair financial burden resulting solely from a manufacturer recall that is outside of the consumer’s control. Customer Care has been contacted multiple times regarding this matter; however, no resolution or adjustment to the reimbursement limit has been offered. The current policy places additional financial strain on the consumer during the recall repair process. Assistance in reviewing this matter and encouraging a fair resolution would be greatly appreciated.
The car randomly gives a warning on the dashboard in red, with red turtle symbol, to pull over and stop safely. A lot of the time we will be on the highway and can't pull over safely. It happens at any speed. 25, 80, 65, etc. It's been happening since we got the vehicle in 2023 and no dealership understands what the issue is even though there are clearly recall repairs for other same make and model of other years surrounding this 2022 model. They keep saying its Keysense but its not locked for speed and that doesnt make sense because it doesnt happen at a high speed only, it happens randomly even in town going slow. They've done the "software update" a fee times, but it's clearly the same problem as the others with the wiring harness. That part needs to be replaced because the patch software fix isn't a solution and its definitely not a safe solution at that.
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving into California through a storm with the temperature at 39 degrees, in heavy rain and wind, the defrost button was pressed, and the windows immediately fogged up. The contact cleared the windshield with a cloth while attempting to navigate through traffic. The contact became aware that the defogger had caused the failure. The local dealer was contacted, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but the contact was unable to speak with a representative. The failure mileage was 30,000.
I was driving on the highway when an alarm sounded and warning message displayed: "Stop Safely, Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" At the same time, a turtle icon came on, along with the check engine light. I lost all power in the gas pedal. I pulled over, and after shutting my van down for a few minutes, I was able to turn it back on and get to my destination. However, the same exact issue happened on my way home. That time, I had to pull over -- still on the highway -- during rush hour and I did not feel safe as other cars zoomed by me. I often travel with my show dogs, which was my main reason for purchasing a new van. Naturally, I am concerned about their safety and well-being too. After this happened, I took my van -- which has less than 36,000 miles on it -- to my local dealership. They performed a software update and sent me home. I took my van on a "test ride" and the same alarm sounded and warning message displayed. I brought it back to the dealership and they investigated the problem further. I now have to replace the transmission -- a $7,000 repair -- on a van that is less than five years old with very low milage. I had NO prior issues, odd noises, or warnings indicated by my van.
The headrest failed. The headrest pivots on the steel supports, and there's a ratchet inside, that is actuated by a plastic piece, which is then connected to cabling. The plastic piece internally broke it's actually unbelievably small for the application, the engineers should be ashamed of themselves. I'm going to guess 1/8" diameter, maximum, snapped right at the ratchet mechanism. If the weak plastic does happen to let loose in an accident, that headrest is going to flop forward and will not provide the head support that it's supposedly designed to provide. The way the headrest angles forward I worry about decapitation or severe neck injury causing quadriplegia in the event of an accident. This piece should work and be dependable not a tiny piece of plastic that often breaks with minimal use. We should know we have dependable headrest function in the event of an automobile crash.
My vehicle has been saying engine will shut off soon, and loses power . Transmission is the issue as I have had it diagnosed 3 times with the code P0a43. Mazda dealership which I purchased the vehicle verified by running a diagnostic.engine light comes on after the vehicle shuts off. Me and my children’s safety is at risk due to it stopping multiple times on freeway also stopping at a stoplight that was around a curve with blind spot . Has stopped on a two lane road with no emergency lane. Stopped at another light and had to wave traffic around.
The vehicle experienced a failure of the hybrid battery thermal management system. A diagnostic trouble code (P0E15 – Hybrid/EV Battery Pack Coolant Heater “A” Control Performance) was set and the check engine light illuminated. This component is responsible for regulating high-voltage battery temperature and is part of the hybrid cooling/heating system required for safe operation and emissions readiness. The failure occurred at approximately 100,700 miles on a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The battery coolant heater is a sealed, high-voltage electronic component with no maintenance or wear interval and is not a consumable part. Loss of proper battery temperature control can affect hybrid system operation, charging, regenerative braking, and power availability, and can potentially result in reduced power or limp-mode operation as the vehicle attempts to protect the high-voltage battery and inverter. The problem was confirmed by a Chrysler dealership and an Area Service Manager using factory diagnostic equipment. The fault code is stored and permanent. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer, and the component was diagnosed as failed and requiring replacement. No accident, misuse, or maintenance neglect was involved. The manufacturer declined warranty or goodwill coverage based on internal policy, despite the failure occurring immediately beyond the hybrid warranty mileage threshold and involving a non-wear, safety-critical hybrid thermal management component. The repair estimate is approximately $1,900 out of pocket. The warning indicator (check engine light) first appeared at the time of failure. The component remains available for inspection and replacement by the dealer. Also the dealership did not provide is with a written justification for the denial and corporate (Stellantis) stated that they were not able to provide justification either other than what the automated prompt was giving them (that the part was not covered under goodwill)
Brakes have a skip feeling horribly. We took to garage after changing brakes and rotors 2x to be sure it wasnt the issue. But doesnt even feel safe to drive the garage took the whole front end apart down to the calipers and didnt find any issues so they questioned if maybe it wasnt a similar recall to the hybrid braking issue to do with the caliper? The van only has 45,000 miles and feels so unsafe to drive anywhere with 5 kids and a newer vehicle you shouldn't not feel safe driving. Ive seen more than my complaint on brake issues just by looking around on internet and the brake light will come on I have to turn off and crank vehicle again for the red brake dot to go away and engine light comes on.
The head rest of the second row broke and will not return to its upright position after we used the stow feature. Very dangerous now and basically lost a seat in our vehicle
Driving on the freeway vehicle suddenly enters limp mode with stop safely vehicle will shut off soon displayed. Transmission was replaced once already for this issue, a year later and I am experiencing the same thing. Very dangerous to lose all power while going 80mph in the third lane of a three row freeway and have to attempt to get all the way across lanes of traffic to safely stop while losing all power. Family vehicle loaded with kids. Has entered turtle mode 3x on the freeway after transmission was already replaced once. If I drive under 65mph it goes fine, but who wants to drive behind semis all the time on the freeway? Untrustworthy vehicle.
The vehicle completely stopped and shut off while driving on the roadway. Luckily no one was behind me. The check engine light did come on right before but it wasn’t on long enough for me to get somewhere to stop and check it out. There had not been any issues prior to this. The vehicle is still being serviced but they said it was the 12v battery and electric coolant heater that needs replacing so far.
The vehicle was running fine when it suddenly shut down while driving. It was started back up 3 times before it would not start again.it was towed. We were told the two batteries needed to be replaced so we had it towed to midas because they had recently changed the auxiliary battery so it was under warranty. They replaced they replaced thr batteries but when they went to started up, thr engine started knocking and wouldn't start up again. Tr engine needs to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags). The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were limited, with only one kit provided per week, and that a waiting list was in place. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
I have no damage to my vehicle or no recalls
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a loud sound coming from the engine with the message "Service Hybrid System" displayed. The sound was noticeable while accelerating and decelerating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but no DTC was retrieved; however, the contact was informed that the transmission control module needed to be reprogrammed. The TCM was reprogrammed; however, the issue persisted with a high-pitched whining sound. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
While driving 75MPH, the vehicle shut down with a message to pull over. All acceleration was lost. We had to navigate, without warning, across 3 lanes of traffic to pull over on the right side of the highway. This was EXTREMELY unsafe as we were slowing down and essentially cutting off other vehicles who were honking at us as this was a traffic hazard. All 6 members of my family were in the vehicle. We had this happen another 3 times before arriving home. I took it to my local dealer, who could not replicate it. They performed a software update, which I have since learned would NEVER fix this problem. We had it happen to us 5 more times, so I took it to another dealership, who initially could not replicate it. In all cases, we had the following check engine light codes be triggered. I have screen shots of them from my personal OBDII reader: P0A43 "Drive Motor 'A' Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent", C2225 "Status: MIL - PCM Disabled EDU: No Sub Type Information". After doing my own reading, it seemed many others have experienced the exact same symptoms and it has required a transmission repair/replace. I also learned most people had a battery charge on the high voltage battery (as this is a plug-in hybrid) when the vehicle shuts down. I charged my van, took it for a ride at 75MPH and it occurred within the first mile. I took it back to the dealership, and at this point, I refuse to drive it until the hardware fix happens. It seems like this should be a recall for all vehicles that can have this problem. It is EXTREMELY unsafe as it occurs at 70MPH+ speeds.
Fuel line leak near engine. It sounds very similiar to the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Recall. The vehicle reaked of gasoline fumes coming in through the vents. Our mechanic replaced the fuel line, said it had a hole. We felt very unsafe even starting the car when it reaked of gas due to risk of fire. No warnings lights or anything, just the smell to tip us off. No one else has inspected the car since we didn't have anything catastrophic happen.
I was in an accident. Where the van rolled 17 times. On or about the 12th roll. The retaining lock on the shoulder strap released. This allowed me to slide out of the seatbelt. This caused me more complicated injuries. The vehicle is currently at copart impound lot in Oklahoma City, OK. Will be available for inspection upon your request. The Oklahoma highway patrol report indicated. I was wearing my seatbelt but the retaining lock on shoulder strap had broken. The Oklahoma highway patrol report # OHP25-024333. There were no warning lights or messages to indicate that there was a problem.
The auto start/stop activate at lights when lift off the brake van cuts off and quickly restarts and turn off the lane departure light and sometimes doesn't restart and is hard to restart. Van sometimes cuts off on the middle of intersection and hard to restart.
This car has lost power train at highway speeds several times almost casing accidents in major interstates intersections with no left shoulder. Chrysler has more than reasonably failed to repair this car transmission 9 times. This car has been in repair for 7 months in 2023 waiting for a new transmission. It has now spent more than 30 accumulative days just this year, and it is now at the dealership having its transmission replaced for the second time. I am submitting the second transmission replacement notice as evidence and first repair order as evidence. I have been able to avoid collision but have had to many close calls to the point that I feel unsafe driving this car and my wife won't drive this car anymore.
I had the power steering or from their repair journal (68525334-AB GEAR RACK 19075120) replaced at 7062 miles from new as it was making knocking noise from the front of the driver-side. now at 29,650 miles the exact same noise and sound is coming from the same side. Unfortunately for me it just got out of basic warranty now in May. from their journal at: CUSTOMER STATES THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FR ONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL WHENEVER HE MAKES A TURN OR TURNS THE WHEEL BACK AND FORTH WHEN SITTING STILL (TireWheels Concern) steering rack has a internal popping noise when turning wheel. steering rack is making a internal pop noise then turning wheel back and forth. replace steering rack and set toe.
While driving several warning lights came on and the transmission shutdown. I coasted to the side of the road. The engine kept running but the van would not move. I shut the engine off and after a few minutes (5 to 10) I restarted the van and the warning lights were on on. I drove the van 2 or 3 miles and it happened again. Once again after a few minutes all the warning lights were off except the check engine light. I returned to my motel and called a local Chrysler Dealer. I then was able to drive to the dealer with no problem. When they diagnosed the problem they said it had several codes. The following is what the service department did. “Digit-verified cel stored codes p0973 in Tim and in pcm, abs bcm u0418 u0402, u422, alll are stored erased codes, no updates, removed air box to access ground and Tim connector, inspected harness from Tcm to transmission, removed and cleaned ground on trans, reassembled and test drove could not duplicate concern. After more test drives still unable to duplicate concern.” After this I was able to drive home 1500 miles without any problems. Not sure if the problem is fixed or not. I just wanted to report this just in case others are having the same problem and to build a case for a recall if needed.
Transmission intermittently stuck in 4th gear down shifting 64,000 miles. No code for mechanic to diagnose until 72,000 miles and stuck in 4th gear. Transmission control module and transmission required replacement.code P072f. 2017-2023 hybrid models recalled transmission as well and class action lawsuit.
The second-row seat back will not stay in a fixed position. How would that do in a car crash with no fixed back position? Just flop backwards all the way from a rear crash? This part was broken. Spring busted open the cheap, plastic housing to the EZ slide latch. Latch Release Cable - Mopar (68324912AC), 2017-2025 Chrysler - 68324912ac
Number of days your vehicle is down: indefinitely as of now there is no fix according to the dealership parts are at least 10 weeks out with them not knowing how to do the install once parts arrive Number of Repair Attempts: there is no fix as of now but the vehicle has broken down 4 times parts for the transmission are on back order (at least ten weeks) and they do not know how to install the parts once they arrive First Repair Attempt Date and Problem: June 10, 2025 The van showed a message saying pull over as the vehicle will stop while we were on the highway heading to my daughters graduation. Initially. We were able to pull over that time and stop driving before the car turned off. we took the vehicle in and they inspected it for the recall. Most recently, the vehicle did it again on the highway. I was not being able to pull all the way over prior to the vehicle, losing power and stopping in the middle of the highway with my children inside. Voice of the Customer / Complaint: as of now there is no timetable for us to be able to return driving the vehicle which is extremely unsafe. We purposely got a seven passenger van to transport our entire family, and at this point we have no way to do. So. The dealership says they are unable to give us a loaner for that, and we are getting no assistance with this with no timetable. As far as when the vehicle will be fixed. Therefore, I’m requesting a buyback of the vehicle so that we can get something to transport our family as the vehicle is down. I am still having to pay for the car note without having anything to Show for it. I cannot drive it as I don’t know when it will shut off. It is currently sitting at the dealer.
The vehicle’s electrical or engine system appears to have failed, causing a sudden loss of power while driving. The exact component has not been identified by the dealership or Chrysler, but it may be related to the recall affecting the vehicle’s powertrain control or electrical system. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and available for inspection upon request. The issue has created a serious safety risk. The vehicle has repeatedly lost power and shut off while driving on the highway, including one incident where I was unable to fully pull off the road before it stalled in active traffic. My children were in the vehicle at the time, placing us in immediate danger of being struck by oncoming vehicles. Because the vehicle can stop without warning, it is unsafe to drive and puts both my family and others on the road at risk. The dealership has confirmed the issue and advised that parts are on backorder for at least 10 weeks. They also stated that even once the parts arrive, they are uncertain how to complete the repair, indicating that Chrysler has not yet provided an effective fix. The vehicle has been inspected by the authorized Chrysler dealership multiple times, and the issue has been reported to Chrysler. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. A warning message reading “Pull over as the vehicle will stop” appears on the dashboard prior to each failure event. The first occurrence was on June 10, 2025, while driving on the highway to my daughter’s graduation. Since then, the same warning has appeared multiple times before the vehicle shuts off completely. It has been 6 weeks at this point and I have no vehicle. Chrysler has offered rental reimbursement of $60 a day but there is no vehicle that is a 7 passenger like my van that is of this cost. At this time they do not have a timeframe of when the vehicle will be fixed and denied a buyback or replacement.
When driving on local road or freeways, car stops in middle of running state with check engine light ON and with a message displayed on cluster as ‘ Stop Safely, vehicle will shut off soon’
My 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid periodically has a sudden shutdown warning identical to vehicles in recall 23V-010 (157), where the engine simply shuts down and a message shows to park safely (it happened to me a bunch of times on a highway and I was lucky enough to have room on the road shoulder. My VIN isn’t listed in the recall 157 that seems to take care of this issue, but the symptoms match exactly. I need this investigated for safety and repaired under warranty or recall.
The car shut down and a turtle appeared on the screen on the middle of the highway.
My wife was driving our 2022 Chrylser Pacifica when it died in the middle of an intersection in downtown Austin. She was in the turning lane waiting for the light to change when the auto stop/start feature activated. As the light turned green and she went to proceed, the car started up and then cut back off while simultaneously placing itself in park and all of the lights on the dash began blinking and messages stating "service shifter", "service parking brake", "service brakes" etc started popping up on the dash. She tried to restart the car and nothing happened and the emergency flashers would only work intermittently before shutting off and randomly coming back on for a few seconds minutes later. Eventually a police officer pulled up behind her to block traffic while she and they tried to get the car started. When I arrived, I was able to jump the car and get it out of the road and to a nearby parts store to check the batteries. Oreillys and Advanced Auto confirmed that the alternator, batteries and starter were good based on their diagnostic scanners. She was able to drive it to San Antonio and back the next day with no issues, but that night, when we went to dinner and stopped for gas, it did it again while in the fuel line although I was able to restart the car this time but now displays "Stop/Start Unavailable, Service Stop/Start". After the second event, went back to Oreillys and had it scanned, there were no primary diagnostic trouble codes, but 8 stored additional ABS trouble codes relating to low voltage, and electronic failures across multiple systems. This all came after having the oil changed and a safety inspection performed on 23 July in which everything passed, but they recommended a coolant and brake fluid flush. Concerned about this happening in congestion on a highway or somewhere with limited options for recovery.
I have received the message "Service Airbag System" on my dashboard along with the Airbag light being on and red in color. My vehicle is currently not being shown as being part of the recall for 2022 chrysler pacificas but I believe it should be. This is a safety issue and I am concerned about driving my vehicle with my children.
The passenger headrest on the seat has stopped functioning and is it a downward position where the seat cannot be used safely. The headrest will not position for a safe position. Repair center has verified. Manufacturer says this will be an $1100 plus repair. Have found others with this problem on YouTube. As I understand, this is not repairable and must be replaced. I’m asking for a safety recall to be issued with the manufacturer will repair the safely for all customers who are involved as I understand there are many. Thank you.
Chest buckle can be slid down by toddler and toddler can wiggle arms out of harness and release the buckel.
Unexpected engine shut down electrical system, short circuit and the internal transmission failure loss of motor power while driving, losing control of all drive power breaking on its own increasing the risk of crash. Electrical system went haywire.
Dash message "Stop safely vehicle will shut off soon" included a red exclamation mark in the middle with a red triangle and a turtle in the bottom right. A yellow reduced speed type indicator in the top right and a check engine light all at the same time. Also a chime sounded. This occured in town moving around 35 mph. Dealer stated this exact VIN had already received a rebuilt trans around 50k miles from another dealer. Took dealer 2+ months to repair, and had to call many many times to encourage them to push to get it completed. Manufacturer seemed to delay sending parts because they can - no good reason provided. First Power Inverter Module (PIM) was replaced, but that did not resolve the issue. Then dealer rebuilt entire transmission. Dealer lead tech stated that a roller bearing near the bottom of the trans appeared to have start failing, which then causes a short and or some kind of damage with the electrical "phasers". Multiple conversations with lead technician and Chrysler cares indicate clearly that Chrysler is NOT investigating the issue deeply (they did not want any of the failed components, nor did they ask for details from dealer - are they even trying to resolve root cause.... this has been occurring since the earliest models). Chrysler should have a financial incentive to fix to remediate warranty repairs. Why can't chat GPT find literally anything on the web about the root cause, why is it nothing other than reports of the issue can be found??? Nobody has done a root cause analysis. Is Chrysler paying to minimize bad press??? If Chrysler replaced entire trans with rebuilt one at 50k and now it failed again at 80k - when can I expect it to fail a third time?
When returning the driver's-side, 2nd row seat into a riding position after being placed into a stow 'n go position; the headrest of the driver's-side, 2nd row seat will not return to a locked upright position - causing it to stay flipped forward. The concern is that in a crash, the passenger seated in the driver's-side, 2nd row seat will not have adequate protection from a neck injury due to the protruding headrest.
The battery went dead in the van. I opened the driver's door using the key from the key fob. However, because there was no power, I couldn't open any of the other doors or lift gate not even from the inside. There appears to be no manual override to open those doors. I couldn't get to portable charger because it was in the back. This could be a significant safety issue. If the battery is dead, the only way for passengers to exit the vehicle is through the driver's door.
6/21/25 , a Saturday, I stopped at a traffic light when gas saver function kicked in and shut car off. The car went into park mode by itself and parking brake engaged. The car would not start and had to be towed. It sat until Monday when I was able to start it and drive it to my mechanic's business a mile from my location and shut it off. Immediately after shutting it off it would not start again. My mechanic was able to start it a few days later and when he drove it about 5 miles it just shut off and wouldn't start again. Today he is replacing the starter and believes the gas saver function may have contributed to the increased wear on the starter leading to failure, as well as the heat from the catalytic converter located near the starter. I am very nervous about driving this car again and worry it may happen again when I am in traffic. This is a major safety problem if not resolved.
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V302000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to stop the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal; however, when the brake pedal was released, the vehicle independently accelerated without the accelerator pedal being depressed. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal failed to respond while being depressed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred three times and occurred while driving at various speeds. The contact stated the failure also occurred while driving at 70 MPH. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to retrieve any fault codes but informed the contact that the 12-Volt battery was not at full charge. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the accelerator pedal assembly and the main computer had produced fault codes, but the dealer later stated that there were no codes. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and a case was opened but was later closed. The failure mileage was 41,607.
The head rest will not lock into the upright position after using the Stow n Go feature.
While at freeway speed (~75mph) "Vehicle Will Shut Off Shortly" warning appeared and lost propulsion. I pulled over and was able to get to a rest stop at reduced speed (~35mph) with the remaining battery power but it was not ideal as shoulder was limited due to road construction and could not leave vehicle on side of the road. Prior software update 03A / 23V-010 was performed as it looks to be a known condition. The software update does not repair the root cause of the failure.
Part 68324912AC Latch Release Cable failed on both middle seats within one week of one another and approximately three weeks after the manufacturers warranty expired on the vehicle. The result is that both seat backs do not latch into place vertically and the entire seat freely slides forward and backward, slamming backward on acceleration and forward on braking. We have read on Internet forums that this is a very common problem. The left side seat failed while my daughter was riding in it and the seat back released. If this had happened during a collision, it could’ve been catastrophic. Upon stopping the vehicle and exiting, we found that it slid freely forward and back as well. The other side failed while the vehicle is parked, and we released the seat back lever. The seats are unusable as a result. If the failure had happened while driving or impact, it could have been devastating as the seat would have slid independent of the seatbelt and the back slammed forward driving the passenger’s head into the back of the front seat. A Chrysler dealer diagnosed the problem charging us $250 for the diagnostic fee and quoted another $750 for the repair. Parts cost about $30 each. There were no warning indicators prior to the failure.
The van was going about 10 mph and the side wall just burst and went to flat right away and tire pressure warning came on. Yokohama had a recall for this same issue in 2022 but this DOT was not included. Nothing came in contact with tire or van when the issue occurred. This would have been a major issue if going full speed. Discount tire in Southaven MS stated the tire just gave out with no indication of anything hitting the tire. Yokohama refused to do anything as this is a BraunAbility handicap van which shows them as owner 1 to do the conversion through Chrysler. These Vans cannot be purchased through Chrysler directly. Yokohama did now even offer to report this issue internally as a complaint on the tire. I kept the tire for further inspection and investigation. I also have pictures and video of the tire prior to replacement. Tire Yokohama AVID S34 (S34RV) 236/65R17 104T. The P style is not indicated on the tire. I have 3 other tires remaining on the van with same tire/DOT (DOT 4UL8-PKX3321
The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at 45 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who transferred the vehicle to an unknown local Chrysler dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted.
