CAR ENGINGE SHOWS NORMAL RUNNING TEMPERATURE BUT WHEN ITS AT IDLE BLOWS COLD HEAT. WITH RPMS UP IT BLOWS HOTTER AIR. BEEN IN SHOP SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO CASES FILED IN DODGE'S DATABASE THAT SHOWS REASON FOR SUSPISION. EVEN SWITHCED DEALERSHIPS TO NO AVAIL. ALL TEST RAN SHOWS NORMAL BUT CAR IS ABOUT TO HIT ITS 75000 MILE WARRENTY SO IM NOT SURE IF THEY ARE TRYING TO LIMP ME ALONG FOR FUTURE GAINS. IT STARTED IN THE FALL OF 2002 AND CONTINUES TO THIS DAY HAD REPLACED THERMOSTAT FLUSHED COOLING SYSTEM TESTED PRESSURE BUT NOTHING.. IVE BEEN TOLD IT COULD BE THE HEATER CORE BUT THYE WONT GO THERE UNLESS THEY HAVE REASON TO BUT THATS THE ONLY THING THAT HASNT BEEN CHECKED IT NEVER OVERHEATS ETC..GREAT CAR BUT JUST HAS TO KEEP RPMS UP FOR HEAT. *AK
REPAIRING A SPEAKER WIRE ATTACHMENT INSIDE OF THE TRUNK AREA. A GUSH OF WIND SLAMMED THE TRUNK DOWN CAUSING THE CONSUMER TO BE TRAPPED INSIDE FOR TWO HOURS. DUE TO DEFECT LID AND DOOR ASSEMBLY HINGE ATTACHMENTS. DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. MR
CONSUMER STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE BRAKE LINE HAS RUSTED CAUSING EXTEND STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER WILL BE NOTIFIED. MR
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH THE CONSUMER HIT A POT HOLE IN THE ROAD AND WITH OUT ANY WARNING THE TWO FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WENT THROUGHT THE WINDSHIELD GLASS. MR
AFTER IT RAINED, WATER COLLECTED IN A PUDDLE ON THE BACK INTERIOR FLOORBOARD. THE DEALER PREVIOUSLY SUSPECTED THE WATER CAME FROM THE DOOR SEALS AND REPLACED THEM, HOWEVER THE LEAK RESURFACED AND IT DID NOT COME FROM DOOR SEALS. CONSUMER BELIEVED THE LEAK CAME FROM THE CHASSIS. *JB OTHER PROBLEMS ARE AS FOLLOWED: CD PLAYER MALFUNCTIONED, A/C UNIT FAILED AND WAS REPAIRED TWO TIMES, THE DOOR PANEL WAS REPLACED, THE STEERING COLUMN WAS REPLACED/SQUEALED WHEN TURNED/REPAIR KIT WAS INSTALLED/CLOCKSPRING WAS REPLACED, THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T START, THERE WERE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, A LOUD SOUND HAD COME FROM THE BRAKES, THE WINDOW BUTTONS WERE LOOSE AT THE SWITCH, AND THE ENGINE CRANKED BUT DID NOT START AND WAS FOUND TO BE FLOODED. CONSUMER REPLACED REAR DEFROST ON CHRYSLER SEBRING ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. *TS THE REAR DEFROSTER DOES NOT WORK. THE REAR VISION GLASS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CHRYSLER OFFERED THE CONSUMER A 50/50 SPLIT. ALSO THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW RATTLED, RED FLUID WAS FOUND IN THE CONSUMER'S DRIVEWAY DUE TO TRANSMISSION PAN AND COOLER LINE LEAKAGE, THE CONVERTIBLE WAS LEAKING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AREA DUE TO WEATHER STRIP AND THERE WAS A SLOW LEAK IN THE R/R TIRE DUE TO A HOLE. *SC
AT 50MPH, THE TIRE BLEWOUT DUE TO TREAD SEPARATION ON REAR DRIVERS SIDE. MICHELIN TIRE SIZE P20560H16, DOT UNKNOWN.*AK. CONSUMER STATED AS SHE WAS DRIVING, THERE WAS A NOISE, SHE PULLED OVER AND DISCOVERED THE TIRE HAD DISINTEGRATED.*JB
CONSUMER STATES THAT TWO OF THE WHEEL CENTER CAPS SEPARATED FROM THE WHEEL WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. *JB CONSUMER FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS RELATING TO THIS ONE AND DETERMINED THAT THIS CONDITION IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. ALSO, CONSUMER NOTICED A THIRD CAP IS LOOSE AND WILL PROBABLY FALL OFF SHORTLY. *TT

CONSUMER STATES PER DEALERSHIP THERE WAS SIGNFICANT ELECTRICAL FAULTINESS TO IGNITE THE WIRING INSTALLATION AND IMMEDIATE COMBUSTIBLES INTO OPEN FLAME. VEHICLE WAS TOTALLED.*JB
LEASED NEW CAR FOR 6 MONTHS, HAD OIL AHCNGE AT 3,000 MILES, HAVE 5,000 MILES NOW. ENTIRE OIL LEAKED OUT OF THE ENGINE AND ENGINE STOPPED. CHRYSLER'S WARANTY WILL NOT COVER THE DAMAGE SINCE THE PLASTIC GUARD UNDER THE CAR WAS LITTTLE BROKEN MAYBE BY HITTING A POTHALL AND THEREFORE IS MY NEGLIGENCE. COST $2,500 TO FIX ENGINE.*AK
I HAVE HAD ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GO OUT TWICE WHILE DRIVING. THE TIRES WERE REPLACED AT 22,000 BECAUSE THEY WERE WORN OUT. STERING WHEEL VIBRATES TO THE POINT IT IS INOPERABLE.*AK
CONSUMER STATES BRAKE AND GAS PEDAL POSITIONS ARE TOO CLOSE. ON 10/01/02 CONSUMER WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND UNBEKNOWNST THE CONSUMER'S FOOT WAS ON BOTH THE ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE PEDALS. THE VEHICLE ROLLED FORWARD AND A MINOR COLLISON OCCURRED. NLM
ALL FOUR RIMS ARE BENT DUE TO RUNNING OVER BUMPS. DEALER / MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME. *AK *SLC
DRIVER'S AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY IN FRONT END COLLISION.*AK
TRIED TO STOP APPROX. 1 MONTH AGO AND FIRST APPLIED BARKES, WENT TO FLOOR. I RELEASED THEM AND APPLIED THEM A SECOND TIME AND THEY STOPPED ME BUT TO AVOID A REAREND ACCIDENT, I VEERED MY CAR TO THE SHOULDER. I CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF TUPELO AUTO SALES THEY ASKED ME WHERE THE CAR WAS. I TOLD THEM THAT IT ONLY FAILED THE ONE TIME SO I WAS JUST CAUTIOUS AS I DROVE ON INTO WORK. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE HARD TO FIND UNTIL IT MESSED UP MORE OFTEN SO THEY COULD SEE THE PROBLEM. I HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS UNTIL DEC. 5TH ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK..I STARTED HEARING A CLANKING SOUND THAT SOUNDED LIKE I WAS HAVING A FLAT TIRE SO I PULLED OVER TO CHECK. THE TIRES APPEARED TO BE FINE. I WAS ONLY A MILE OR SO FROM HOME SO I DROVE ON HOME. ONCE HOME, I INSPECTED THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR AND THE WHEELS BUT COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING DIFFERENT. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, WHEN I LEFT HOME, THE CAR SEEMED OK. ONCE I ARRIVED AT MY FIRST STOP SIGN WHICH IS AT THE BOTTOM OF A HILL, I APPLIED MY BRAKES AND AGAIN THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE SECOND TIME I APPLIED THEM, THEY CAUGHT AND I STOPPED. I TURNED ONTO THE HIGHWAY AND TRAVELLED ABOUT 150 FEET AND THE FRONT (SEEMING) LOCKED UP SIMILAR TO THE WAY IT DOES WHEN YOU PLACE A CAR IN PARK AND CUT OFF THE KEY. I WAS HEADED TO THE RIGHT ONTO THE SOFT SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND WAS FIGHTING THE CAR BECAUSE I WAS HEADED FOR THE DITCH AND AN ELECTRICAL GENERATOR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE STEERING OR BRAKES (?) BROKE LOOSE, SENDING ME INTO AN ONCOMING PICKUP, THE PICKUP HIT THE FRONT OF MY CAR, THEN THE TRUCK HIT A VAN WHICH WAS FOLLOWING ME. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, MY STEERING LOCKED AND MY BRAKES FAILED, ALL WITHIN 1 1/2 MILES OF MY HOUSE. CHRYSLER HAS SENT AN INVESTIGATOR TO LOOK AT THE CAR TODAY, BUT EVEN HE SAID THAT IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO FIND A PROBLEM THAT ONLY HAPPENS PERIODICALLY. NOW, EVEN IF THE CAR IS REPAIRED, I AM AFRAID THAT I WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. I HAD NO BLEMISH ON MY DRIVING RECORD. *AK
VEHICLE WAS PARKED TO LOWER CONVERTIBLE TOP, WHILE CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS BEING LOWERED REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED UNEXPECTEDLY. CONTACTED SERVICE MANAGER, AND WAS INFORMED THAT WINDOW WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *AK
WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR WHICH RESULTED IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED. *NLM. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE BRAKES SYSTEM AND STATED EVERYTHING WAS FINE. *JB
VEHICLE LEAKS WATER. MR WHERE THE A PILLAR MOLDING MEETS THE HEADLINER ABOVE THE CONSUMES HEAD. WATER DRIPPED DOWN ON THE CONSUMERS KNEE, CONTROL PANEL AND THE FLOORS. THE DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO CORRECT THE LEAKING PROBLEM. *JB
TRAVELING ON I 95 SOUTH IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE FL - GAS PEDAL STUCK WHILE AT A SPEED OF 65 AND BEGAN INCREASING, IT WAS NECESSARY TO USE BRAKE WITH ALL THE FORCE THAT WAS POSSIBLE TO CONTROL THE CAR - IT WAS AT LEAST 2 MILES UNTIL WE COULD EXIT THE FREEWAY - THIS WAS DOWNTOWN AND IN AN AREA OF CONSTRUCTION OVER A NEW BRIDGE - THERE WAS NOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAVE THE ROAD, PLACE THE CAR IN NEUTRAL OR DO ANYTHING BUT RIDE THE BRAKES UNTIL WE COULD EXIT, WEST SIDE DODGE IN JACKSONVILLE EXAMINED THE CAR THE MORNING OF 9/17 AND FOUND A PLASTIC CAP THAT WAS USED TO COVER A SENSOR HAD NOT BEEN DISCARDED AND HAD FOUND ITS' WAY TO THE LINKAGE. WE ARE ASKING THE DEALER HERE IN SOUTH CAROLINA TO REPLACE THE ROTERS AND PADS - IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT I SHOULD BE CONCERNED WITH? THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND CONCERN. STEERING RACK MAKES CLANKING/RATTLING NOISE WHEN TURNING OVER ROUGH PAVEMENT. CAN BE FELT THROUGH STEERING COLUMN. SERVICE TECHNICIANS AT DEALER HEARD NOISE BUT COULD NOT INITIALLY IDENTIFY IT. THEY DROVE 4 OTHER 2001 SEBRING SEDANS AND HEARD SAME NOISE. CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WERE TOLD IT WAS STEERING RACK. I WROTE LETTER TO CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THAT NOISE IS A "CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR." I AM VERY CONCERNED SINCE STEERING IS INVOLVED. WOULD LIKE THIS PROBLEM FIXED AND NOT TOLD "THEY ALL DO IT."
WHEN WEATHER IS HOT VEHICLE STARTS MAKING A CREAKING NOISE. ALSO, IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH NOISE IS IN STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE.*AK CONSUMER STATES SOUND HAS BEEN PRESENT IN VEHICLE SINCE DAY ONE, DEALER HAS REPLACED THE FRONT AND REAR SWAY BAR LINK, BOTH BUSHINGS, LEFT BALL JOINT, STEERING GEAR, DIFFERENTIAL/TRANSAXLE, AND NOW DEALER FEELS THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE EXHAUST PIPE, WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER WOULD MAKE FREQUENT STOP AND GO MOTIONS WHICH WOULD MAKE THE NOISE EVEN WORSE, CONSUMER THINKS THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO BE EXPANDING STEEL WHEN VEHICLE WAS HOT, DEALER LISTENED TO THE NOISE THROUGH HEADPHONES AND STATED THE NOISE WAS NOT COMING FROM THE SUSPENSION, SINCE DEALER CAN NOT FIX PROBLEM, CONSUMER HAS DECIDED TO GO THROUGH ARBITRATION. WHEN AIR CONDITIONER IS ON A LOUD HUMMING NOISE CAN BE HEARD THROUGH THE VENTS. *SLC
RADIO CD PLYER FAILED. *AK
THE GRAY COATING TO THE AIR BAG COVER STARTED PEELING TWO MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR. I BROUGHT IT IN TO GET FIXED AND THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE WRONG PART. THE PERSON WHO REPLACED THE WRONG PART DAMAGED THAT PART (STEERING WHEEL) AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE BOTH PARTS AGAIN. I FINALLY GOT BOTH PARTS REPLACED 8/01 AND THE AIR BAG STARTED PEELING AGAIN THREE WEEKS LATER. THERE IS AN OBVIOUS DEFECT IN THE MATERIAL.
STEERING WHEEL IS VERY LOOSE AND MAKING A GIRDING NOISE SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE . CONSUMER HAS CONTACTED DEALER AND A REPAIR SHOP, AND WAS TOLD THAT PARTS HAD BEEN OMITTED DURING MANUFACTURING, CAUSING VEHICLE TO HAVE POOR STEERING CAPABILITIES. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
REAR TOE AND CAMBER OUT OF RANGE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO PULL TO THE RIGHT. NLM
WHILE WASHING CAR CONSUMER NOTICED EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT CAMBERS WERE OUT OF ALIGNMENT. DEALER SAID REAR TOE AND CAMBERS WERE OUT OF RANGE, SO THEY SET REAR AND FRONT TOE. 4 DAYS LATER, NOTICED DUST AGAIN. CONSUMER STATED SAME PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED FOR LAST MONTH. *AK THE SEAL AROUND THE REAR WINDOW IS LEAKING. CONSUMER STATES VEHICLE STILL PULLING TO THE LEFT AND THE RIGHT. FLUID LEAK FROM LEFT FRONT WHEEL, DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS. DEALER STATES EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST IS NORMAL FOR THIS VEHICLE. *SLC
NARY 05/21/2003 *MR THE CONSUMER EXPERIENCED REAR BRAKE SUSPENSION, TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE, REAR WINDOW SEALANT LOOSE, AND STEERING PROBLEMS. *CB
CONSUMER HAD BRAKE PROBLEMS FOR 9 MONTHS. BRAKES WERE VIBRATING EXCESSIVELY WHEN APPLIED. IN 06/01 AT 11000 MILES DEALER CUT ROTORS, REPLACED CALIPERS, AND BRAKE PADS. 2 MONTHS LATER, BRAKES WERE VIBRATING AGAIN. CONSUMER CAN NOT FULLY APPLY BRAKES. *AK
BRAKE CALIPER BOLT BROKE OFF BRAKES WHILE CONSUMER WAS TRAVLING ON ROAD. THE DEALER DID FIX PROBLEM FOR NOW.*AK THE BRAKE CALIPER BOLT BROKE OFF CAUSING A RUMBLING SOUND UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS TRAVELLING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND WAS FIXED. *YH

WAS GOING AROUND A CURB THROUGH A DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW WHEN STEERING LOCKED UP. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP , AND WAS ABLE TO TAKE VEHICLE IN FOR INSPECTION. WAS INFORMED BY MECHANIC THAT CAUSE OF STEERING LOCK UP COULD NOT BE FOUND.*AK *JB
MY SEAT BELTS COME UNLATCHED CHRYSLER SAYS ITS NOT THERE PROBLEM. MY CAR ONLY HAS 50000 MILES ON IT. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER WITH TWO CHILDREN WHO RIDE IN THOSE SEAT BELTS. DOES SOME BODY HAVE DO DIE BEFORE THEY WILL FIX THIS? THEY KNOW THERE IS SOME THING WRONG WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY WANT $160 TO FIX IT. AND I HAVE A DEALER WARRANTY. *NLM

HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR AND ENGINE OIL NOW LEAKING. DEALER SAID IT IS OIL GALLEY PLUG AND CYLINDER HEAD MUST BE REMOVED TO FIX. *AK
ON 3/4/01 MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE CAR WITH HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE GOING AROUND 15 MPH WHEN THE CAR ACCELERATED, HE PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO GET IT TO STOP. ON 5/25/01 I WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT, IT FELT LIKE THE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL AND IT WAS IN DRIVE. ON 5/25/01 I WENT TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPOT WITH MY FOOT ON THE BARKE WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR ACCELERATED AND WAS OUT OF CONTROL. I WENT OVER 2 SETS OF PARKING BLOCKS HIT A SIGN AND CRASHED INTO A PARKED CAR. AFTER I HIT THE CAR MY SON WHO WAS A PASSENGER IN THE CAR PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO STOP IT.*AK
THERE WAS A WRINKLE THE LEFT SIDE OF CONVERTIBLE TOP. WHEN THIS WAS ADJUSTED IT EXPOSED DEFROSTER GRID VISBLE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. CONSUMER ALSO STATED THIS MADE POOR VISIBILITY IN THE REAR WINDOW. PLEAS PUT IN VIN. *AK
WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR BRAND NEW, THE SUNVISOR ON TOP WAS LOOSE, THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS FINE, THEN A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER I NOTICED IT WAS COMING OFF MORE. THEY DID FIX THIS THEN I REPORTED THAT THE KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE DID NOT WORK . I WENT THERE ON THREE OCCASIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY 5 HOURS TOTAL TO HAVE THIS FIXED, THEY DID FIX AND NOW IT DOES NOT WORK AGAIN. I AM ALSO HEARING A WATER SWISHING SOUND WHEN I START THE CAR AND WHEN DRIVING MOSTLY IN CENTER OF CAR, BUT CAN BE HEARD IN ALL AREA INCLUDING WHEN I STEP ON AND OFF THE BRAKE. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SAW THREE SALES PEOPLE AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME AND TOLD ME TO COME BACK ON MONDAY. THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND WOULD NOT EVEN OFFER A SUGGESTION ABOUT THE PROBLEM I WAS HAVING.
