I went to turn on my headlights, and they didn't come on. All the other lights work. Parking, dash, tail, and the high beam indicator. But no headlights. Also l read that people complained about windshield washer' not working. I tried mine and they also didn't work. I see there is a recall on same problem with the 2005 - 2007 Chrysler town and country limited and they are under a recall. Mine is a 2004 T & Country limited.it My mechanic has checked all the fuses and relay's and can't find anything wrong except for the lights and wind washers not working. I called my Chrysler dealership and they acted like they never heard of the problem. But that's O K with them because they don't have to drive a car without headlights.
I'M DRIVING AND SOME HOW IT SEEMS LIKE MY TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND IT WILL GO BACK TO THE ACTUAL DRIVING PATTERN IN ABOUT 5 TO 6 MIN AFTER IT STALLS
THE AIRBAG IT'S BEEN TURNING OFF AND ON CONSTANTLY. I HADN'T HAVE ANY TYPE OF ACCIDENT AT ALL BUT NOW EVERY TIME I'M DRIVING ON THE STREET AND THE HIGHWAY THE AIRBAG LIGHT TURNS ON AND STAYS ON FOR MOST PART OF MY DRIVING. THIS IS THE ONLY CAR I HAVE AND I DRIVE ALL THE TIME THE LIGHT WILL TURN ON MOSTLY WHILE I'M DRIVING AND SOMETIMES WHILE IT'S PARK THE LIGHT STAYS ON
IN SEPTEMBER 2018 I NOTICE SMOKE COMING UNDERNEATH THE HOOD AND UPON OPENING THE HOOD MY FRIEND SAID THAT I HAD A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND PUT THE FIRE OUT.AFTER CALLING MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEM TOWING IT TO A GARAGE I WAS INFORMED THAT A POWER STEERING HOSE HAD BUSTED THAT THEY SAID CAUSED THE FIRE.I THEN LATER ONLINE LOOKED UP MORE INFORMATION AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A NHTSA CAMPAIGN:04V386000 CONCERNING THE UPPER POWER STEERING HOSE THAT MAY SPLIT THAT CAN CAUSE A FLUID LEAK THAT IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE CAN RESULT IN AN UNDER HOOD FIRE LIKE WANT HAPPEN TO ME.I SEE THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT SHOULD HAVE BEEN.MY VAN WAS IN MY FRIEND'S DRIVEWAY WHEN IT HAPPENED ON A SATURDAY.
THE SLIDING REAR DOOR ON DRIVER SIDE WON'T STAY LATCHED/ SHUT.
AFTER EVERY FUEL FILL THE VEHICLE RUNS ROUGH OR STALLS. MOST TIMES FOR THE FIRST MILE THEN CLEARS UP. ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC AFTER FILLING THE TANK.

WHEN I BOUGHT THE VAN I DIDN'T KNOW WORK WAS REALLY NEEDED TILL 06/2018 AND I JUST WANTED TO NO IF IM QUALIFIED FOR A RECALL. THANK YOU
MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. IT NOW STAYS ON MOST OF THE TIME.
THE CAR WILL SOMETIMES CUT OFF AFTER FUELING AND SNELLS IF GAS FUMES. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TGE CAR WOULD NOT PULL IN DRIVE LATER CAR WILL NOT ENGAGE IN THE REVERSE GEAR. CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS SINCE THUS HAPPENED. THE CAR NOT PULLING WAS WHILE DRIVING HAD TO BE TOWED HOME.
FOUND BOTH BRAKE LIGHTS STAYING ON AFTER APPLYING BRAKE OR USING REMOTE DOOR LOCKS ON KEY. LIGHTS WILL GO OFF EVENTUALLY, BUT DRIVING IS NOT SAFE. PULLED FUSE AND BRAKE SWITCH- LIGHTS STILL ON.
THIS TIME I WAS HEADING DOWN WITH MY FAMILY FROM ONE OF THE HIGHEST SPOTS AT YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK. MY SPEED WAS ABOUT 45 MPH AND TWO LANE ROAD WITH LOT OF TURNS. NO OTHER TRAFFIC IN FRONT OR BEHIND ME. I TURNED HIGH BEAMS ON AND THERE WE GO, HEADLIGHTS GONE. I PULLED QUICKLY FOG LIGHTS ON TO HAVE SOME LIGHTS. NO OTHER OPTIONS THAN CONTINUE TO THE NEXT PLACE WHERE I COULD PULL CAR TO SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN STOPPED I CHECKED IF KNOCKING ECM WORKS BUT IT DIDN'T, NORMALLY IT DOES. I RELEASED FOUR SCREWS AND PULLED ECM OUT. INSTALLED MY SPARE ECM, NO LIGHTS. I INSTALLED THE OLD ECM MODULE BACK AND WIGGLED IT AND LIGHTS CAME ON. I DIDN'T CHECK ON THE SPOT THAT WOULD I HAVE HIGH BEAMS. 1 HOUR LATER WHEN WE GOT TO COTTAGE WE RENTED I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPEN THIS TIME WHEN TURNING HIGH BEAMS ON. LIGHTS GONE AGAIN. THIS TIME KNOCKING ECM MODULE HELPED. I TESTED HIGH BEAM AND LOW BEAMS MULTIPLE TIMES AND NO ISSUES. LOOSING HEAD LIGHT HAVE HAPPEN WITH THIS VEHICLE BEFORE HOWEVER THE ISSUE IS THAT IT IS INTERMITTENT. I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY LOGIC HOW TO REPEAT IT WHAT MAKES IT SCARY / UNCOMFORTABLE.
ABS WARNING LIGHT AND BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATE.THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES MOST ALL OF THE TIME BUT WILL GO OUT ON OCCASION THEN ILLUMINATE AGAIN AND AGAIN OR STAY ON .THE BRAKES SEEM TO OPERATE NORMALLY AND PASS ALL MECHANICAL INSPECTIONS.THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT WILL GO OUT UPON SHARP ELEVATION CHANGES COMBINED WITH SHARP TURNING MANUVERS.
CAR STALLS WHEN FULL GAS TANK. DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME, BUT IT'S ALWAYS WHEN FULL. MAKES VERY UNSAFE CONDITION. I'VE LEARNED NOT TO MAKE LEFT TURNS IN FIRST 5 MINUTES AFTER FILLING, OR BEST NOT TO FILL. IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WHEN LOOKING ONLINE, CHRYSLER REPLACES TANK FOR VALVE ON TANK FOR SOME PEOPLE. THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME, BUT OFFER A $1500 FIX. IT TRULY IS A WIDESPREAD SAFETY HAZZARD.
EVERY TIME I REFUEL CAR WILL HESITE AND STALL. IT'S SPECIALLY DANGEROUS WHEN U GET FUEL NEXT TO THE FREEWAY BECAUSE IT WILL STALL AS YOU TRYING TO GET TO FREEWAY SPEED AND SOMEBODY CAN HIT YOU FROM BEHIND.

DRIVING 65 MPH AT HIGHWAY. TURNED HIGH BEAM LIGHTS ON AND HEADLIGHTS STOP WORKING. TURNED FOG LIGHTS ON TO SEE SIDE OF THE ROAD. REDUCED SPEED TO STOP VEHICLE. OPENED HOOD AND CHECKED ECM / FCM BY WIGGLING IT. STARTED VEHICLE AND HEADLIGHTS CAME BACK.
TAKATA RECALL THE FULE RAIL WIRING HARNESS MELTED DOWN.THE WIRING HARNES IS INSTALLED RIGHT ABOVE THE EXHAUST FROM THE FACTORY. THE HEAT FROM THE EXHAUST OVER TIME MELTED A 4 INCH SECTION OF THE INSULATION OFF OF THE WIRING HARNESS CAUSING THEM TO SORT OUT. THE VAN HAD 130000 MILES WHEN THIS HAPPENED. IT LEFT ME AND MY FAMILY STRANDED ON THE FREEWAY, IT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THIS WAS VERY UNSAFE TO HAVE THE ENGINE STALL OUT ON THE FREEWAY. CLEARLY THERE SHOULD BE MORE THAN 2 INCHES BETWEEN THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. I HAD THE VAN TOWED TO MY MECHANIC $150. THEN THEY REPLACED THE OLD HARNESS $400 PARTS $435 LABOR TOTAL $985 DOLLARS!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MORITZ CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (9101 CAMP BOWIE BLVD, FORT WORTH, TX 76116) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 263,980.
I FOUND LAST NIGHT WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO LEAVE FROM HOME FOR SOME HOME DEPOT SHOPPING THAT MY HEADLIGHTS DIDN'T TURN ON. THIS IS LOW AND HIGH BEAMS. FOG LIGHTS, CORNER LIGHTS AND INDICATORS WORK JUST NORMALLY.
