I kept getting a message that the blind spot system was unavailable. Once removed it smelled of burnt plastic and looked to be water damaged. Upon research I have learned that this could cause a fire and or damage other electrical components of the car
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BACKUP CAMERA AND BLIND SPOT DETECTOR WERE MALFUNCTIONING. THE CONTACT JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON APRIL 3, 2019. THE DEALER (CHRISTOPHER CHEVROLET BUICK, 1111 WICKER ST, TICONDEROGA, NY 12883, (518) 585-2842) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD SEVERAL MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT REQUIRED HER TO BE ABLE TO USE THE BACKUP CAMERA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,200.
