NO HEAT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. HEATER CORE NEEDS REPLACED. *TR
MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER HAD RECALL FOR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIRBAGS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY PERFORMED RECALL "N38 REFLASH TIPM." BEFORE THIS RECALL WAS DONE MY VEHICLE HAD NO PROBLEMS. AS SOON AS I DROVE AWAY FROM THE DEALER, MY AIRBAG LIGHT ON DASH WAS ON, THE LEFT REAR TURNING LIGHT AND LEFT BRAKE LIGHT NOT WORKING, RIGHT HEADLIGHT NOT WORKING, RIGHT FRONT TURNING SIGNAL NOT WORKING. I LET THE DEALER KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THEY SAID I HAD "TO BRING IT BACK IN BECAUSE IT PROBABLY HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEM". THIS IS MORE THAN JUST ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, IT IS A SAFETY PROBLEM. AFTER HAVING THE LIGHTING DIAGNOSED AND INSPECTED, I AM HAVING TO PAY $1250 FOR TIPM TO BE REPLACED FOR A NEW ONE. I AM VERY UPSET AND IN DISBELIEF THAT I HAVE TO PAY THIS FOR A DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY TIPM MODULE. I FEEL THIS DEFECT OF THE TIPM MODULE SHOULD BE ALSO A RECALL AND COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER. *JS
I RECENTLY WAS IN CAR ACCIDENT AND MY AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. I CHECKED INTO THIS WITH CHRYSLER COMPANY. ACCORDING TO THEM THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT I NEVER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL. MY CAR IS SITTING IN FINGERLAKES COLLISION BODY SHOP UNTOUCHED BECAUSE OF LIABILITY ISSUES. CHRYSLER TOOK MY INFORMATION DOWN BUT HAS RESPONDED WITH MY COMPLAINT. MY COMPLAINT NUMBER WITH CHRYSLER IS [XXX]. THE BODY SHOP NUMBER IS 315-568-6390. [XXX] REPLIED THAT IT TAKES A LOT OF POWER TO HAVE THE BAGS GO OFF. I SAID THE SEAT BELTS HURT US, TOT HE POINT OF BRUISES AROUND NECK, SHOULDERS, AND BACK. I HAVE TALK TO SEVERAL ATTORNEYS AND BECAUSE WE ARE NOT DEAD OR HAVE A LIMB MISSING THEY CANT HELP US. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO HEAT IN THE VEHICLE TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE IN COLD WEATHER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE IN THE DASH DUE TO THE A/C SYSTEM. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THIS BEING AN ISSUE IN MANY CARS AND REFUSES TO FIX IT. IT APPEARED JUST AFTER THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THIS HAPPENS WHENEVER THE A/C OR FAN IS RUNNING.
ON JANUARY 3, 2015, COMPLAINANT WAS DRIVING A FRIEND TO WORK AT APPROXIMATELY 9 A.M. WHEN COMPLAINANT LOST TOTAL CONTROL OF HIS 2012 DODGE AVENGER DUE TO ICE COVERING THE ENTIRETY OF THE STREETS CAUSING COMPLAINANT TO SLIDE TWO (2) BLOCKS TOWARDS AN OVERHANGING CLIFF WHERE PLAINTIFF HAD A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH A HUGE TREE TOTALING HIS 2012 DODGE AVENGER. AT THE INSTANT OF COLLISION, THERE WAS A STRANGE AND PUNGENT ODOR THAT PERMEATED THE INTERIOR OF THE AUTOMOBILE WHEN BOTH FRONT AIRBAGS CAME OUT BUT FAILED TO INFLATE AND TO OFFER ANY SUPPORT. THE AIRBAGS ONLY STAYED LAYING FLAT ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD. AT THE INSTANT OF COLLISION, COMPLAINANT STRUCK HIS FOREHEAD AGAINST THE STEERING COLUMN CAUSING COMPLAINT SEVERE NECK TRAUMA, SEVERE SPINAL TRAUMA, SEVERE BACK TRAUMA AND SEVERE HIP TRAUMA... COMPLAINANT WAS WEARING HIS SEAT BELT AT THE TIME AND SO WAS THE PASSENGER. AT THE TIME OF COLLISION THE PASSENGER STRUCK HER ENTIRE FACE AGAINST THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD WHERE THE MALFUNCTIONING AIRBAG.... AT NO TIME DID THE AIRBAGS INFLATE AND THERE WAS SO SORT OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEM BEFORE THE AIRBAGS CAME OUT THAT GAVE OFF A VERY DISTURBING ODOR... THE WRECKED CAR IS PRESENTLY AT THE PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE AUTO AUCTION AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER THERE IS 724 443 7881... I AM REQUESTING THAT AN INVESTIGATION BE DONE TO DETERMINE THAT BOTH FRONT AIRBAGS DID NOT INFLATE AND OFFER PROTECTION... BOTH AIRBAGS APPEARED TO BE DAMAGED... ALSO THERE WAS A RECALL ON THAT PRODUCT IN EARLY 2014 AND COMPLAINANT BELIEVES THAT WHATEVER DODGE OF MONROEVILLE DID DURING THIS RECALL WAS NOT APPROPRIATE AND WAS IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL SAFETY AND WARRANTY LAWS.... *TR
AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS ON. TOOK IT TO A DODGE DEALER AND THEY DID A RECALL ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS RECALL. LIGHT IS STILL ON. SO I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HAD THEM DO A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT IN THE CODE IS B1C1A SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WIRING UNDER THE SEAT TO THE HEAD RESTRAINT. TOOK THE CAR BACK TO DODGE AND THEY SAID ITS NOT ON THE RECALL. MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN A ACCIDENT, THIS IS A FAULT WITH DODGE WIRING SYSTEM . CALL MAIN DODGE OFFICE THEY SAY THEY WANT FIX IT. THIS IS A ERROR WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM AND WIRING.I CAN'T GET MY INSPECTION STICKER WITH THIS LIGHT ON. *TR
I WAS IN AN CAR ACCIDENT RECENTLY WHERE I KNOW THAT MY AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT WAS DELAYED WHEN THE COLLISION OCCURRED. DUE TO THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF FOREHEAD STRIKING THE STEERING WHEEL THE MOMENT THE VEHICLES COLLIDED AND THEN AFTER A VERY SHORT MOMENT MY STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG DEPLOYED. KNOCKING ME UNCONSCIOUS FOR 5-10 SECONDS. WHERE I WAS LATER DIAGNOSED WITH A CONCUSSION IN THE ER. WHICH I AM STILL CURRENTLY SUFFERING FROM. *TR
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE THIS VEHICLE'S POWER STEERING AND ANTI LOCK BRAKES STOPPED WORKING AND THE VEHICLES RPMS WERE AS HIGH AS COULD BE MEASURED BY THE VEHICLE. THIS ISSUES MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY SAFELY. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP AND THE ALTERNATOR WAS DIAGNOSED AS THE PRIMARY ISSUE. THE CONCERN WITH THIS VEHICLE IS THAT IT HAS THE SAME SIZE ENGINE AND AMP ALTERNATOR AS THE CHRYSLER VEHICLES THAT ARE ALREADY UNDER RECALL FOR ALTERNATOR FAILURE 3.6L ENGINE WITH A 160 AMP ALTERNATOR AND THE DEALERSHIP REPAIRING THIS VEHICLE STATES IT IS THE SAME TYPE OF FAILURE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS VEHICLES ALTERNATOR SHOULD ALSO BE RECALLED AS IT POSES A DANGER TO THE PEOPLE DRIVING IT AND ANY OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD NEAR THIS VEHICLE WHEN THIS FAILURE OCCURS. *TR
WITHOUT CAUSE, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER INVESTIGATING THE ISSUE, I FIND THAT MY CAR HAD A RECALL FOR THE TIPM, WHICH WAS NOT DONE. I THEN HAD THE TIPM RESET, HOWEVER IT DID NOT TURN THE LIGHT OUT. THEN I HAD A DIAGNOSTIC TEST DONE THAT CAME UP WITH A CODE OF B2208, WHICH OF COURSE WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER. THIS MODULE SHOULD BE REPLACED BY CHRYSLER FOR THE 2012 AVENGER AS WELL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE, THE TECHNICIAN NOTIFIED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING OIL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BOLTS THAT HELD DOWN THE OIL PAN WERE LOOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE THE BOLTS WERE TIGHTENED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,800.
MY AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON DECEMBER 16,2014 I REPORTED IT ON DECEMBER 18,2014. I TOOK IT IN TO BE FIXED ON 12/21/2014 BUT MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS STILL ON DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE SAID THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I FEEL THIS IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE PART OF THE RECALLS. HOW DO I KNOW THAT HE REPROGRAMMED IT IF THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. ALSO MY TRUNK HOLDS WATER WHEN IT RAINS AND THE WATER COMES OUT OF THE LATCH ONCE IT IS HELD UP. I FEEL THAT DODGE SHOULD HOLD UP TO ITS PRODUCT AND REPAIR ALL PROBLEMS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE TIPM WAS RESET. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V282000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
RECEIVED NOTICE OF A RECALL ON ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS. VENDOR DID NOT HONOR RECALL. *TR
HEAT DOES NOT WORK ON PASSENGER SIDE DEFROST OR VENTS. THIS CAUSES A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN LOOKING OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD AND PASSENGER DOOR WINDOW. THE WINDOWS FOG UP AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS WHEN TURNING OR CHANGING LANES. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE THROTTLE BODY ON MY CAR HAS TO BE REPLACED. MY SON HAS HAD NUMEROUS INCIDENTS OF THE CAR RUNNING ROUGH, SEEMINGLY NOT GETTING ENOUGH GAS, AND THE FINAL STRAW BEFORE TAKING TO THE SHOP WAS WHEN IT THE ENGINE DIED AS HE WAS DRIVING. THIS CAR IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD WITH APPROXIMATELY 62,000 MILES ON IT. IT IS NOT AT ALL ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS PART TO GO BAD GIVEN THE AGE / MILES OF THE CAR. AFTER SPEAKING WITH SEVERAL SHOP OWNERS AND TECHNICIANS, I'VE FOUND THAT THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON FAILURE ON LATE MODEL DODGE VEHICLES. IN ADDITION THE THROTTLE FAILURE, HE HAS NO HEAT COMING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. ONLY COLD AIR AS IF SOMETHING IS STUCK OPEN. THIS BEGAN THE LATER PART OF LAST WINTER WHEN THE CAR WAS JUST TWO YEARS OLD. HE JUST DEALT WITH IT AT THE TIME DUE TO LACK OF MONEY. WITH WINTER COMING, THIS WILL NEED TO BE ADDRESSED RIGHT AWAY AS WELL. THEN WE HAVE THE POWER MIRROR NOT WORKING ON ONE SIDE. WHICH ALSO BEGAN LAST YEAR. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. I DID SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL HAVING TO DO WITH ONE OF THE AIRBAGS. I WILL SCHEDULE THAT RIGHT AWAY, BUT IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN IF THAT IS WHY THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. *TR
THE VEHICLE IS PRODUCING HEAT/DEFROST ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BUT BLOWS COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE, CAUSING THE DEFROST NOT TO WORK ON PASSENGER WINDOW. AFTER THE MECHANIC AND EXTENSIVE RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL OTHERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL. IT APPEARS THAT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE SOMETHING WAS DONE INCORRECTLY CAUSING SLUDGE TO BUILD IN THE RADIATOR AND THE HEAT CORE. I HAVE READ CASTING WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY, ALSO READ PROBLEMS WITH THE RADIATOR SO ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE. I CANNOT SAY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS ONLY THERE IS A PROBLEM. MOST CARS I HAVE RESEARCHED HAVE 20,000 TO 30,000 MILES AND THIS VEHICLE VERY WELL COULD HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AT THIS MILEAGE ALSO. WE KNEW THE PASSENGER SIDE DIDN'T DEFROST WELL BUT ONLY FOUND THE HEAT BLEW COLD THIS WINTER. *TR
LACK OF HEAT IN THE CAR. THE SYSTEM WAS FLUSHED AND FOUND A HUGE AMOUNT OF SLUDGE BUILD UP DUE IN THE HEATER CORE. THE WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT DEFROST ENOUGH FOR THE CAR TO BE DRIVEN. WE HAD A FAMILY EMERGENCY AND COULD NOT DRIVE IT. THE SYSTEM COULD FAIL DURING A DRIVE CYCLE OF DAY WITH EXTREME COLD WEATHER AND PUT MY FAMILY IN DANGER. DODGE HAS ADMITTED IT WAS DUE TO A CASTING PROBLEM. I CAN NOT SELL THIS VEHICLE OR I WILL BE UPSIDE DOWN IN THE VALUE. THE COST OF THE FIX AT THE DEALER SHIP IS OVER $1200. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
[XXX] WAS DRIVING DOWN THE 294 EXPRESSWAY AND THE CAR JUST TURNED OFF ALL ELECTRIC ITEMS WENT DEAD. I CALLED FOR A TOW AND WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP 3 TO 4 DAYS. DEALER MECHANIC TOOK CAR HOME SAME THING HAPPENED TO HIM NEEDED A TOW TO THE SHOP. THEN ON 10/13 THE CAR WOULDN'T START AGAIN. THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED FROM FIRST VISIT AND DODGE SAYS NO CODES ARE COMING UP AND ARE NOT FIXING ANYTHING. MY GUESS IT WILL CONTINUE HAPPENING UNTIL FURTHER INVESTIGATED BY DODGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHERE THE HEAD RESTRAINT FAILURE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE AIRBAG LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,120.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. UPON USING THE VENT CONTROLS FOR THE HEATER OR AIR CONDITIONER, A KNOCKING NOISE PROGRESSED NEAR THE AREA OF THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT WATER POURED IN EXCESS WHEN THE TRUNK WAS OPENED AND THAT THERE MAY BE A POTENTIAL LEAK WITHIN A SEAL. ALSO, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS DETERIORATING WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR DIAGNOSED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V282000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
The seats move around as if they are not bolted down properly. Any speed if you hit a small bump or so much as move other then straight it’s extremely noticeable. I don’t think it is safe and my kids are in this car daily and I was hoping a recall would have already been called on this because I know I’m mot the only one with this issue with both front seats moving around as if it’s a carnival ride. And the cruise control stopped working in 2016. Also has always made a weird sound under the hood and come to find out I have had a bad transmission the whole time I have owned this car, also a common issue I have heard from MANY People. Also these cars have several different censor problems that keep having to be replaced as well as energy draining batteries more than they should. The hoses and injectors also have been a major problem. I thought I just got unlucky with my car but everyone I know has soooo many problems with these cars it’s actually crazy they didn’t stop making them sooner. I’m the only driver and owner of this car and drive like a grandma I have been told so I do know it’s not how I have been with the car, also regular oil changes and maintenance as needed on top of thousands to keep her running as I bought it brand new and refuse to let it die on me after it’s paid off.
WHILE DRIVING ON A TWO LANE HIGHWAY DRIVING IN THE LEFT LANE DOING 60 MILES THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY TURNED OFF CREATING THE FOLLOWING TO STOP WORKING. NO BRAKES, GAS PEDAL WOULD NOT WORK, STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP, UNABLE TO TURN ON HAZARD LIGHTS. I WAS ABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT ENOUGH TO MOVE INTO THE RIGHT HAND LANE AND TO THE SIDE OF A VERY BUSY FREEWAY, (VERY SCARY ) THE CHP CAME AND HAD ME WAIT FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES THE CHP OFFICER THEN GOT INTO THE VEHICLE RESTARTED THE CAR, PUT IN GEAR TO MAKE SURE THE BRAKE WOULD HOLD OUT AND THEN ESCORTED ME OFF THE FREEWAY AT THE SPEED OF 30 MILES. THEN HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. *TR
I BOUGHT MY 2012 AVENGER IN 2014 AND THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DON'T WORK IT HAS BEEN THAT WAY SINCE I PURCHASED IT. THE SALESMAN WAS THE ONE WHO NOTICED IT THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT, HOWEVER I DIDN'T GET AROUND TO FAST ENOUGH BECAUSE I HAD TO GO AWAY FOR THE ARMY AND SINCE I DIDN'T GET IT DONE RIGHT AWAY THEY VOIDED THE DEAL THEY MADE WITH ME. HERE I AM FOUR YEARS LATER STILL NO HEAT ON THAT SIDE OF THE CAR. I GOT MARRIED AND NOW HAVE A NEWBORN SON AT HOME AND HERE IT IS ABOUT TO BE WINTER AGAIN AND NO HEAT AND THIS IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE AND NO WAY TO GET OUT OF THE LOAN TO PURCHASE A DIFFERENT CAR. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR SEVERAL REASONS ONE BEING THE WINDOW DOESN'T DEFROST WHICH MAKES VISIBILITY CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE AND TWO IF MY FAMILY GETS STUCK ON THE ROAD SOMEWHERE WE WILL FREEZE TO DEATH.

THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON ONE NIGHT AS I WAS PARKING THE VEHICLE. I LOOKED UP THE RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE, TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO BE REPAIRED AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. I NOTICED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THIS DATE GOING DOWN THE HWY AND THE CAR ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN. I GOT IN THE CAR STARTED IT AND BACKED UP PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND IT JOLTED INTO DRIVE NO FOOT ON THE GAS PEDDLE I HAD TO HIT MY BRAKES AGAIN THEN I PROCEEDED HOME. STILL NOTICED THIS A COUPLE MORE TIMES. I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT I WAS TAKEN STRAIGHT OUT BY EMS WITH A NECKBRACE. I RECEIVED A NOTICE ABOUT A SAFETY RECALL OF THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS IN MY VEHICLE ON 03/13/2014. AS I WENT AND RESEARCHED THE INFORMATION THE RECALL WAS FIRST SENT OUT IN JULY 2013. I PURCHASED MY CAR IN APRIL 2013 AND HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP EACH TIME FOR MY SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND WAS NEVER NOTIFIED ABOUT THE RECALL. PROBLEM: HEAT DOES NOT COME OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE VENT. AFTER A MONTH OR TWO, NO HEAT AT ALL. THE HEATER CORE WAS REPLACED ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK 3 TIMES (WHICH FIXED THE PROBLEM EACH TIME). NOW THE DEALER SAYS THE PART IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, AND THE DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE IT FOR FREE AGAIN. THIS IS HAPPENING TO 2012 AVENGERS. NOT JUST THIS ONE. IT HAPPENED FEB 2014, NOV 2014, AND NOV 2015. I DONT DRIVE THIS MUCH AND NOW ITS TOO LONG SINCE THE LAST FIX (NO MORE WARRANTY COVERAGE). DODGE KNOWS THERE IS BUILD UP IN THE HEATER CORE WITH THIS YEAR/MODEL. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. IT WAS A NOT A WEAR AND TEAR OR AGE OF VEHICLE ISSUE. I BOUGHT THIS BRAND NEW. THIS WAS A PROBLEM BEFORE IT LEFT THE FACTORY.
