THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING STRAIGHT FORWARD DOWN A FLAT THREE-LANE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS GOING ABOUT 45-50 MILES PER HOUR. THE DRIVER FELL ASLEEP AND IT CROSSED TWO LANES AND ROLLED MULTIPLE TIMES DOWN A 30 FOOT EMBANKMENT. IT CAME TO A REST RIGHT SIDE UP. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED DESPITE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE RESULTING IN A TOTAL LOSS OF THE VEHICLE. IN THE SIX MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS THERE WAS INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AFFECTING INTERIOR LIGHTING AND POWER WINDOW FUNCTIONING THAT COULDN'T BE IDENTIFIED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT VARIOUS PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 177,553.
THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT BLOW HOT AIR PREVENTING THE DEFROST ON THAT SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I RECEIVED NOTICE STATING THAT THERE IS A CURRENT SAFETY RECALL FOR : THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY IN SUCH CRASH EVENTS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH. IT WAS RECALLED IN OCT2016 WE ARE IN JAN2017 AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING AND WE HAVE TWO OF THESE SAME VEHICLES. WE HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN RIDING IN THESE VEHICLES AND WE COMMUTE FOR WORK DAILY. THIS IS A GREAT CONCERN.
SUMMARY: THE VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE LOSS OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY IN CERTAIN CRASH EVENTS DUE TO A SHORTING CONDITION RESULTING IN A NEGATIVE VOLTAGE TRANSIENT THAT TRAVELS TO THE OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER VIA THE FRONT IMPACT SENSOR WIRES. SAFETY RISK: THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY IN SUCH CRASH EVENTS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH.
HEAT ONLY WORKS ON DRIVERS SIDE. ONLY COLD AIR WILL BLOW OUT ON PASSENGER SIDE. I LIVE IN UPSTATE NY WHERE IT SNOWS A LOT. IT IS DIFFICULT TO KEEP WINDSHIELD DEFROSTED ON PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR. I HAVE BEEN THE SOLE OWNER OF THE CAR. THIS STARTED ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND HAPPENED WEATHER. AT IS IN MOTION OR NOT.
SINCE 2016, MY CAR HAS BEEN OUT OF HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND IS NOW STARTING TO LOSE HEAT ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I HAVE HAD GREAT UP-KEEP ON MY CAR AND GET IT FIXED ON A REGULAR BASES. DURING THE WINTER MY CAR IS FREEZING COLD. IT IS ONLY LETTING HEAT OUT ON THE FAR LEFT DRIVER SIDE VENT AND THIS IS STARTING TO BLOW COLD AIR TOO. IT TAKES FOREVER TO WARM THE INSIDE OF MY CAR OR NEVER WARMS UP AT ALL. I'M UNSURE WHAT THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM IS THAT I SEE IS VERY COMMON FOR THIS TYPE OF CAR. BEING IN THE MILITARY I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO GET THIS FIX. IT IS TOTALLY A MANUFACTURES DEFECT AND NEED TO FIXED IMMEDIATELY.
SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER FAILED PRIOR TO ORC MODULE BEING REPLACED. SEAT BELT DOES NOT RETRACT OR FUNCTION AND PROVIDES NO RESTRAINT TO FRONT PASSENGER

THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, A DIAGNOSTIC FEE WAS CHARGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL ALSO HEATER CORE ISSUE. HEAT ONLY BLOWS ON DRIVERS SIDE WHEN SET TO HEAT AND COLD AIR BLOWS ON PASSENGER SIDE. SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH CHRYSLER BUT THEY DO NOT WANT TO FORCE A RECALL. TRANSMISSION ALSO SLAMS INTO GEAR WHEN STOPPING AND AT TIMES BEFORE ACCELERATION. NO DIP STICK TO VERIFY FLUID LEVEL. DEALER STATES NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. THEY STATED THEY FLUSHED HEATER CORE AND STILL HAVE SAME ISSUE. THIS HAPPENS DRIVING IN WINTER OR SUMMER ON HIGHWAY, CITY STREETS.

COMPLAINT REGARDING NHTSA RECALL S61: POSSIBLE SHORT CIRCUITING FOR AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT AND THERE IS NOT REMEDY FOR IT. WHY AM I DRIVING AROUND A CAR WHERE THE AIR BAGS COULD NOT DEPLOY? THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND THE PERSON WHO I TALKED TO REGARDING THE RECALL COULDN'T BE BOTHERED WITH IT. I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS.

OFFICIALLY WRITTEN COMPLAINT REGARDING UNREASONABLE DELAY BY DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR RECALLED PART. FIRST NOTICE WAS ISSUED OVER A YEAR AGO, HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG. IN MEAN TIME HAVE RECEIVED 2ND RECALL FOR SEATBELT MALFUNCTION.
I BOUGHT THE CAR USED IN 2016. SINCE I GOT IT THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CLICKING NOISE WHEN I TURN ON THE HEAT OR AC. IT STOPS AFTER ABOUT MAX 30 SECONDS. THIS WINTER THOUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE NOW ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR OUT OF EVERY SETTING YOU CAN USE. THE DRIVER SIDE IS HOT AIR. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND IT SEEMS THIS IS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT THAT HAS BEEN A COMPLAINT FOR MANY PEOPLE. MY CAR WILL NOT GET WARM AT ALL DUE TO HALF OF THE CAR BLOWING COLD AIR.
TAKATA RECALL........WHILE JUST SITTING THERE OR TURNING ON CAR, THERES A KNOCKING NOISE IS THERE A RECALL DONE RESEARCH AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAME ISSUES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED BEHIND A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, THE TRUCK IN FRONT SUDDENLY MOVED AND ALLOWED THE CONTACT TO NOTICE ANOTHER VEHICLE HEADING TOWARDS THEM AT HIGH SPEEDS. THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO GAIN CONTROL. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE LANDED IN A DITCH ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE'S FRONT FENDER WAS DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS FAILURE, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM, PCM, AND ORC FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE RECEIVED A NEW PCM, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,013.

AFTER CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL REMEDY WERE STILL NOT AVAILABLE AND NO ESTIMATED TIME FOR RECEIVING THE PARTS COULD BE PROVIDED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR STARTED ACCELERATING BY ITSELF AND THE ENGINE REED HIGH. WIPERS COME ON BY THEMSELVES. SEAT BELT LIGHT STAYS ON EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE IT ON. BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON PERIODICALLY.
PASSENGER HEADLIGHT, TURN SIGNALS, AND BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING WHEN IS STARTED VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. HAVE PUT 5 SETS OF TIRES ON IT IN THE 4 YEARS OWNED BOUGHT NEW, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RANDOMLY COMES ON CAR RUNS BAD AND GOES TO 3RPMS THE QUICKLY DROPS TO 2RPMS AND BARELY GOES 40MPH AND RADIO GOES CRAZY ALSO HAPPENS WHEN IN MOTION.
AIR BAG LIGHT STAYED ON. TOOK CAR IN FOR N38 SAFETY RECALL DIDNOT FIX PROBLEM. CHARGED$135 FOR DIAGNOSTIC WHICH SAID BAD ORC MODULE. FOUND OUT THAT DODGE REPLACED THE ORC ON 2011 MODEL AND THE 2012 OF OTHER MODELS BUT NOT AVENGER. OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAIN OF SAME DEFECT NOW THEY WANT 565 TO FIX
THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT GO BACK UP. ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS RANDOM BUT ALWAYS WHILE IN MOTION. LIGHTS DIM OFF AND ON. TACHOMETER HAS CLIMBED TO 70 MILES PER HOUR WHEN ONLY DOING 40 MILES PER HOUR. HEADLIGHTS BRIGHTEN AND DIM. SAFETY GAUGES FLASH OFF AND ON. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THESE PROBLEMS WITH SAME MAKE AND MODEL BUT NOT MY VIN NUMBER. THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED AT ENTERPRISE IN 2014. FOR SOME REASON I AM NOT RECEIVING ANY RECALL NOTICES. COULD YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THESE RECALLS. THANK YOU
MY HEATER BLOWS COLD AIR OUT OF THREE OF THE FOUR VENTS WHEN THE HEATER IS TURNED ON. FOR ONE YEAR THERE WAS A CLICKING SOUND BEHIND THE DASHBOARD AT RANDOMS TIMES DURING THE DAY AND NIGHT IF THE CAR WAS ON OR OFF IT DIDN'T MATTER THE CLICKING COULD BE HEARD INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. AT THIS TIME WHEN THE HEATER WAS IN USE, COLD AIR WOULD BLOW OUT OF THE 2 PASSENGER VENTS ONLY. AS TIME GOES ON THE VENTS ARE BEING AFFECTED ONE BY ONE. I NOW HAVE ONLY ONE VENT THAT BLOWS WARM AIR WHEN THE HEAT IS ON AND THE OTHERS BLOW COLD AIR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING, BRAKE, AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL LOCKED UP WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE IN ORDER FOR IT TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. DEALERSHIP CORRECTED PROBLEM IN AUGUST 2015 AND IT CAME BACK ON JUNE 2016. WAS TOLD THE WORK WILL NOT BE COVERED BY DODGE. I LOOKED UP A RECALL FOR 2012 DODGE AVENGER AIR BAGS BUT WAS TOLD THIS RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE. OCCURS WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION ON ALL TERRAINS. LIGHT WILL TURN OFF OCCASIONALLY AND THEN TURN BACK ON.
CONSISTENT INTERMITTENT FAILURE OF DRIVER'S HEADREST AIRBAG. SERVICE CENTER CANNOT DETERMINE A FIX. ISSUE OCCURS WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR STATIONARY ON ALL ROAD TYPES AND WEATHER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM EXPERIENCED OVERHEATING AND THE BATTERY WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER HAD OVERHEATED. THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR PRESENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE ALTERNATOR AND STARTER WERE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, AFTER THE STARTER WAS REPLACED, THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO BE STARTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
POOR HEATING SYSTEM PERFORMANCE. SLUDGE BUILDS UP IN THE COOLING SYSTEM AND RESTRICTS COOLANT FLOW TO THE HEATER CORE CAUSING LOSS OF HEAT IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. LOSS OF HEAT ALSO EFFECTS THE ABILITY TO DE-ICE OR PREVENT ICE AND SNOW BUILD UP ON THE WINDSHIELD IN COLD WEATHER OPERATION. THIS CAN CREATE A HAZARDOUS CONDITION AS VISIBILITY IS GREATLY REDUCED. CHRYSLER GROUP LLC HAS NO CAUSE FOR THE SLUDGE FORMATION. THE ONLY RESOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR, OIL COOLER, HEATER CORE AND RADIATOR CAP AFTER COMPLETELY FLUSHING THE COOLING SYSTEM. THIS IS TO BE DONE AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE AND CAN COST OVER $2500.
KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM PASSENGER SIDE DASH, FOUND TO BE AIR BLEND DOOR. KNOCKING OCCURS INTERMITTENTLY BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER ENGINE START. VEHICLE HAS ALSO LOST HEAT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE, DUE TO BUILDUP OF "SLUDGE" IN THE HEATER CORE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V282000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A YIELD SIGN, IT WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS PUSHED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SEAT BELTS NEVER ENGAGED AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS AND SUSTAINED A HEAD CONTUSION, CONCUSSION, NECK SPRAIN, AND BACK INJURIES. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT AND UNDERWENT SEVERAL BRAIN SCANS. SHE WAS ALSO CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING MINOR SEIZURES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS INITIALLY TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO LITHIA CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM OF CORPUS CHRISTI (4313 S STAPLES ST, CORPUS CHRISTI, TX 78411, 361-288-2510) WHERE IT WAS KEPT FOR TWO MONTHS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER PERFORMED AN UNKNOWN RECALL REPAIR REGARDING THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THEIR POSSESSION. THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY PAID FOR ALL THE REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE, BUT A LEAK WAS STILL PRESENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. AFTER REVIEWING THE CARFAX REPORT, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V640000 (SEATS, AIR BAGS) AND 16V668000 (SEAT BELTS, AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, SHE NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTIFICATIONS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
MY PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AN OFF NO MATTER IF ANYONE IS IN THE SEAT OR NOT. TOOK MY CAR TO DODGE WAS TOLD THERES NO RECALL YET I LOOKED UP MY CAR IN FRONT OF THE SERVICE GUY SHOWED HIM THE INFORMATION HE TOLD ME THAT WASN'T TRUE I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR MY CAR TO BE CHECK. ALSO MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON WHEN THEY WANT TO YET THERE'S A RECALL FOR THAT AS WELL AN SERVICE CONTINUE TO SAY THE INFORMATION NOT TRUE. DO THEY JUST NOT WONT TO FIX IT. BOTH ARE SO TO THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) , WHICH IS A CONTROL MODUAL THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
CAR HAS ONLY 50,000 MILES AND HAVE HAD TO REPLACE RACK AND PINION SEVEN MONTHS AGO. NOW THE CLOCK SPRING IS BAD IN STEERING RESULTING IN BORROWED TIME FOR AIR BAG. SO, IF WE DO NOT REPLACE THIS FOR THE COST OF $500, MY AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE DEATH. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITH DODGE AVENGERS (2012). THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON MY STEERING WHEEL SHOULD HAVE THIS MANY ISSUES STARTING AT 35,000 MILES AND STILL CONTINUING. IF AN AIR BAG DOES NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT AND MYSELF, OR MY CHILD, OR SOMEONE DIES AS A RESULT OF THE FAULTY CLOCK SPRING AND AIR BAGS, IT WILL NOT BE A VERY GOOD SITUATION. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT IMMEDIATELY. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DODGE AUTO SHOP AND I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM MASTERTECH WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, BUT APPARENTLY, MY WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER AIR BAGS. THIS IS SOMETHING I FEEL THAT NEEDS TO BE COVERED ON ALL WARRANTIES, PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE WORTH COVERING. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY CAR, AND OTHERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU. *TR

THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. FEW DAYS LATER BEGAN HEARING A CLICKING UNDER THE DASHBOARD BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX. RECEIVED NOTICE FOR RECALL. DUE TO LOCATION NEAREST DODGE DEALERSHIP IS 2 HOURS AWAY. DECIDED TO WAIT. A SHORT TIME LATER, THE CAR BEGAN TO LOSE POWER BRIEFLY INTERMITTENTLY. ONCE AGAIN, DUE TO LOCATION DECIDED TO WAIT. TWO DAYS AGO THE CAR STALLED COMPLETELY WHILE TRAVELING AT 45 MILES PER HOUR. NO STEERING, NO BRAKES, NOTHING. SCARED ME. TRYING TO FIND SOMEONE LOCALLY TO LOOK AT IT. TODAY IT DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF A VERY BUSY INTERSECTION. ONCE AGAIN, COMING TO THE INTERSECTION THE CAR DROPPED BELOW 1,000 RPMS AND THEN DIES.
I HAVE A 2012 AVENGER; THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR STOPPED BLOWING HOT AIR. I TOOK THE AVENGER IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ISSUE WAS FROM CASING SAND CLOGGING THE RADIATOR, HEATER CORE AND THE OIL COOLER. THIS IS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT. ALSO THE SPRING ON THE ACTUATOR DOOR WAS STICKING AND NOT OPENING PROPERLY ..POOR CONTACT MATERIALS ON THE CONNECTORS FOR THE ACTUATORS!!. IT SEEMS THAT OVER TIME THEY OXIDIZE AND DEVELOP A RESISTANCE THAT ATTENUATES THE SIGNAL BACK TO THE CONTROL. WHEN THE SIGNAL GETS TOO LOW THE CONTROL LOSES TRACK OF THE ACTUATOR POSITION AND KEEPS DRIVING THE MOTOR, RESULTING IN CLICKING OR BROKEN TEETH. IT IS TOUGH TO REACH THE CONNECTOR CONTACTS TO CLEAN THEM- THE CLICKING GOES ON EVEN AFTER THE CAR IS OFF!!!! PLEASE FIX!

THE HEATER IN THE CAR NOW ONLY BLOWS OUT HOT AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. WHICH IN TURN ONLY CLEARS OFF HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD, MAKING THE VISIBILITY OF THE ROAD DIFFICULT. DURING THE CHANGES IN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE AND THE HUMIDITY LEVELS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A CLEAR VIEW OF THE ROAD. THIS CONDITION IS HAPPENING ALL THE TIME, THE CAR CAN BE IN PARK IDLING OR IN MOTION. THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR CAN ONLY BLOW OUT COLD AIR AND DOES NOT CHANGE WITH THE TEMPERATURE DIAL.
IT STARTED ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO, MY HEAT IN MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER STARTED TO NOT WORK. I HAVE HAD IT FLUSHED 4 TIMES AND THAT NEVER HELPED. IT SEEMS TO BE A MYSTERY TO THE THREE MECANICS/DEALERSHIPS THAT I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO FOR REPAIR ON WHAT THE ISSUE IS. I HAVE LOOKED UP MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THIS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR AND EVERYTHING SHOWS THAT IT IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT/ISSUE WHICH IS THE SAND/SLUDGE IN THE HEATER CORE AND RADIATOR. I AM A SINGLE MOM OF 2 CHILDREN AND I DON'T NEED TO BE DRIVING IN A CAR WITH NO HEAT WHEN IT IS 0 DEGREES OUTSIDE. THIS IS NOT A CUSTOMER DEFECT THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. THE HEATING SYSTEM IN THE DODGE AVENGERS HAVE PERSISTENT PROBLEMS. THIS USUALLY INVOLVES THE HEATER CORE. THE HEAT WILL OFTEN FAIL ON ONE OR BOTH SIDES. USUALLY THE PASSENGER SIDE FAILS. MY HEATER FAILED IN 2016, THEN FAILED AGAIN LESS THAN 2 YEARS LATER IN 2018. REPAIRING THE HEATER COSTS ABOUT $1200. THE DODGE SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME THIS IS CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT WHEN DODGE PUT "STOP-LEAK" INTO THE ENGINES DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. I'M TOLD THE STOP-LEAK BREAKS OFF INSIDE THE ENGINE THROUGH TIME AND DESTROYS THE HEATER IN THE DODGE AVENGER, REQUIRING REPLACEMENT EVERY COUPLE OF YEARS AT ABOUT $1200 FOR THE REPAIR. I HAVE CONTINUOSLY BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY BRAKES AND ROTORS, ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING, AND THE LOCK TO MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR ISNT WORKING PROPERLY. RECALL WAS NEVER DONE FOR S6 1ST OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER. EVERY TIME I CALL CHRY. ABOUT IT THEY SAY THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL HAVE A REMEDY.
