WHILE WAS TRYING TO TURN INTO PARKING SPOT MY CHARGER SUDDENLY DIED. WHEN TURNED THE CAR BACK ON WAS ABLE TO START RIGHT BACK UP. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING MORE WHEN TRYONG TO TURN THE WHEEL ALL THE WAY FROM A STOP POSITION OR MOVING. HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT A FEW TIMES WHEN IT JUST STOPS
MY 2006 DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING. ALSO WHILE SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN. IT HAPPENS DURING RANDOM TIMES.
AFTER FUELING CAR UP, I TRAVELED A SHORT DISTANCE, STOPPED AT THE MAIN INTERSECTION OF THE CITY I WAS DRIVING IN, THE LIGHT CHANGED, I ACCELERATED TO TURN LEFT AND MY CHARGER DIED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY INTERSECTION. I HAD MY DAUGHTER WITH ME, SO I TOLD HER TO GET OUT AND PUSH, SCARED THAT I WAS GOING TO BE T-BONED. WE DISCOVERED HOW HEAVY MY HEMI WAS, BUT THANKFULLY 2 MEN JUMPED OUT OF THERE VEHICLES AND PUSHED US TO SAFETY IN A NEARBY PARKING SPACE. I CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD TO BE TOWED HOME AFTER TRYING TO GET IT TO START AGAIN AND IT WOULDN'T STAY RUNNING. IF YOU KNOW WHAT MY PROBLEM IS, PLEASE HELP ME. MY CAR HAS 95,000 MILES ON IT. CONDITION: UNKNOWN
CAR WAS OPERATING JUST FINE NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE STOPPED AT WAL-MART AND WAS IN STORE FOR ABOUT 30 MINS.. CAME OUT AND WENT TO START CAR AND IT SOUNDED LIKE A POPCORN POPPER FULL OF METAL AND STARTED SMOKING SO BAD IT FILLED ENTIRE PARKING LOT WITH SMOKE SO THICK THAT YOU COULDN'T SEE 3 FEET BEYOND YOUR FACE.. SO HAD TO PULL CAR HOME AND WHEN I PULLED VALVE COVER AND PLUGS ON LEFT SIDE I NOTICED MERAL SHAVINGS IN CYLINDER 1 AND PLUGS IN CYLINDER 4 WERE COMPLETELY SMASHED SMASHED IN ON THEMSELVES ( GAP GONE ).. APPARENTLY THE VALVE SEATS DROPPED INTO CYLINDERS AND PUCTURED PISTONS... I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND IT SEEMS THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PRETTY REGULAR OCCURRENCE WITH OTHER 2006 HEMI CHARGERS...
AFTER REFUELING VEHICLE IT WILL STALL AT LOW STEEDS. SOMETIMES IT WILL STALL AT A STOP AND OTHERS WHEN MAKING A TURN IT WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS SO IT MOSTLY THE CAR SITS IN THE GARAGE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. JIM FALK MOTORS OF MAUI (260 HANA HWY, KAHULUI, HI 96732, (808) 270-2600) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
POWER SHUTS OFF RANDOMLY, STALLING, ACCELERATION LOST, BUT WILL FIRE RIGHT BACK UP IF YOU FLIP THE KEY AROUND OR PUT IN NEUTRAL. VERY UNSAFE IF TRAFFIC COMING AND IT SHUTS RIGHT DOWN. ALSO WHILE IN PARK IT'S SHUTS OFF
-THE SUNROOF WILL NOT ALWAYS CLOSE ALL THE WAY. IT WILL REOPEN ITSELF UPON EXITING -MY CAR STALLS OFTEN WHENEVER I ACCELERATE, IT SEEMS THE GAS HAS TO "CATCH UP" THIS UNCOMFORTABLE/UNSAFE.) HOME. ALSO, IT IS EMBARRASSING FOR MY CAR TO 'CONK OUT'. - I AM CURRENTLY BROKEN DOWN DUE TO THE FUEL PUMPS' INCORRECT ASSERTIONS OF GAS. DISAPPOINTED ANDNEED ASSISTANCE TO REPAIR SAID ISSUES. THANK YOU
RECENTLY, AFTER PUMPING GAS INTO MY CAR AND AFTER DRIVING FOR A FEW MOMENTS, THE CAR STOPS AS I APPROACH A STOP SIGN OR A LIGHT. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME IMMEDIATELY AFTER AT LEAST 3 RECENT GAS FILL-UPS. I SHUT OFF MY CAR AND START IT UP AGAIN AND AFTER DRIVING A SHORT PERIOD, IT HAPPENS AGAIN. THIS ONLY HAPPENS AFTER I PUMP GAS INTO MY VEHICLE (2006 DODGE CHARGER R/T). THIS HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AS I AM FEARFUL OF GOING ON THE EXPRESSWAYS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF IT STALLING AND STOPPING. I BELIEVE THERE IS A FAULTY VALVE OR GAS TANK SITUATION.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND PROMISED TO CALL THE CONTACT BACK, BUT THAT HAD NOT HAPPENED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 294,000.
AFTER FILLING GAS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE BEING STOPPED AT LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD ALL EMISSIONS COMPONENTS REPLACED EXCEPT FOR THE EVAPORATOR CANISTER AND FUEL TANK. UNKNOWN AS OF YET IF THE VEHICLE STALLS UNDER HIGHWAY CONDITIONS, BUT CLOSE TO BEING HIT IN THE REAR WHEN VEHICLE STALLS AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS.
ON MY 2006 DODGE CHARGER, AN UNPRECEDENTED MECHANICAL PROBLEM HAPPENED WITH THE IGNITION. IT IS UNPRECEDENTED AS IT WORKED PERFECTLY PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. THE IGNITION WILL ONLY TURN FROM 'OFF' TO 'A/C' AND FINALLY TO 'ON' BUT IT WILL NOT TURN ANY FURTHER TO 'START'. THIS MEANS THE ENGINE CAN NOT BE STARTED. WITH FURTHER RESEARCH, IT BECOMES APPARENT THAT SAME GENERATION CHARGERS AND MAGNUMS ARE AFFECTED BY THE SAME PROBLEM, WITH OWNERS REPORTING PROBLEMS WITH THE ACTUATOR PIN. MY CAR IS STATIONARY AND AS OF LATE CAN'T MOVE WITH AN OUTSIDE SOURCE.
AFTER FILLING UP GAS TANK (NOT TOPPING OFF AT ALL) THE CAR WILL STALL RANDOMLY FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AFTER FILL UP EVEN WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS. VERY DANGEROUS. STEERING IS LOST AND EVEN WHEN RESTARTING IT TAKES A SECOND FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO ENGAGE WHEN PUTTING THE CAR IN DRIVE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH MY VEHICLE FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW.
FILLED UP TANK. DROVE CAR FOR 1/2 HOUR APPROX 30 MILES. WHILE MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED THE CAR STALLED, SHUT IT SELF OFF. THE OIL LAMP AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. CAR WOULD NOT FIRE BACK UP. TOOK A FEW ATTEMPTS. UPON RESTARTING THE CAR WAS RUNNING ROUGH. CONTINUE DRIVING AT VERY LOW SPEED ATTEMPTING TO TURN INTO PARKING STALL CAR AGAIN STALLED AND SHUT IT SELF OFF. FELT THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE HOME. HAD IT TOWED.
MY VEHICLE STALLS AFTER I FUEL IT. I GOOGLED IT AND SAW THAT SIMILAR CHARGERS (2006 RTS WITH 5.7 LITER ENGINES) WERE PART OF A RECALL. I CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL CENTER AND THEY SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED ON THE LIFETIME REPLACEMENT /FIX FOR THIS ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE ISSUE WAS 'VIN SPECIFIC'. MY CAR DOES ALL OF THE SAME THINGS THAT THE RECALLED VEHICLES DO - IT STALLS AT LOW SPEEDS AND WHEN STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS RIGHT AFTER I FUEL IT. IT DOES NOT STALL/DIE AT HIGH SPEEDS, BUT INSTEAD 'SPUTTERS'. IT USUALLY TAKES ABOUT 20 MILES AFTER FUELING FOR THE STALLING/ 'DYING' TO STOP.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR IT WILL RANDOMLY TURN OFF AND THEN COME BACK ON WITH OUT HAVING TO RESTART IT. IT'S LIKE IF YOU WERE TO TURN A LIGHT SWITCH ON AND THEN OFF AGAIN, IT'S THAT QUICK. I'M TALKING ABOUT EVERYTHING SHUTS DOWN, THE LIGHTS THE RADIO THE GAUGES EVERYTHING AND THEN SOMETIMES IT COMES RIGHT BACK ON. THERE HAS BEEN SOME OCCASIONS WHERE IT DOESN'T COME BACK ON THO.
AFTER FILLING UP WITH FUEL MY CHARGER WILL STALL. IT HAS HAPPENED 5 OR 6 SEPARATE OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS. I GENERALLY DO NOT FILL THE CAR UP ALL THE WAY BECAUSE OF THIS. HOWEVER JUST TODAY I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER ACCIDENTALLY FILLING IT. I DO NOT TOP OFF THE CAR WHEN FILLING ONCE THE NOZZLE CLICKS OFF I STOP. TODAY AFTER GETTING GAS I WENT TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND THE CAR STALLED. THE POWER STEERING WOULD NOT WORK THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND I WAS STRANDED HALFWAY OUT INTO THE LANE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT AND DROVE ABOUT 20 FEET BEFORE IT SHUT OFF AGAIN. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE HIT. I DID MANAGE TO GET THE CAR HOME WHICH IS ABOUT TWO MILES AWAY BUT I HAD TO RESTART IT FOUR MORE TIMES. I'VE GOT ROUGHLY 80,000 MILES ON THE CAR I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT UP WITH MAINTENANCE AND WITH ANY REPAIRS THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. I SEARCHED ONLINE TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE EVEN THOUGH A LOT OF PEOPLE SEEM TO BE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM NOT ONLY WITH THE CHARGERS BUT WITH THREE HUNDREDS AS WELL
CAR SHUTS OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE IN MOTION AFTER FILLING GAS TANK. POWER STEERING GOES OUT AS WELL. VERY DANGEROUS AS THE DRIVER HAS NO WARNING...
DRIVETRAIN PROBLEMS MAKING NOISE IS THERE A RECALL NEED HELP SOMETIMES WHEN I DRIVE IT KICKS THE GEAR
CAR WILL SHUT OFF GOING 45 MPH, AT A STOP LIGHT (0 MPH) OR WHEN CROSSING TRAFFIC INTERSECTIONS FOR EXAMPLES (AT MOST GOING 10 OR 15 MPH). I WILL ATTEMPT TO RESTART AND THE CAR WILL START UP, STALL UP AND THEN SHUT OFF AGAIN - WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I LOSE POWER STEERING. I HAVE TO SWITCH GEARS FROM DRIVE TO PARK AND THEN TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN IN HOPES IT WILL START. AS YOU'RE DRIVING, YOU CAN FEEL WHEN THE CAR IS ABOUT TO CUT OFF, IT THROTTLES AHEAD A BIT AND REVS, THEN THE CAR BEEPS AND TURNS OFF, WHILE THE GEAR IS IN DRIVE AND TURNING MY WHEEL DOES NOTHING. I NOTICE THAT THIS ISSUE WOULD USUALLY HAPPEN AFTER A FILL UP MY GAS TANK, SO I STARTED ONLY FILLING UP HALFWAY ,BUT THE ISSUE STILL PERSISTS. THIS ISSUE BECAME HEAVILY FREQUENT YESTERDAY WHERE THE CAR STALLED AND CUT OFF AT LEAST 4 DIFFERENT TIMES WHILE MAKING A 7 MILE DRIVE BACK HOME. THIS WAS VERY VERY SCARY IN MY EYES, ESPECIALLY WITH A PASSENGER IN MY SEAT. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND POWERING STEERING IS LOST. IF THIS HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 60+ MILES PER HOUR, OR TURNING INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC, THERE IS A GUARANTEED ACCIDENT, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. I BELIEVE THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE GAS TANK AND THE EVAP CANISTER THAT CAUSES THE SENSORS TO THINK THAT GAS IS OVERFILLING THE ENGINE, WHICH SHUTS OFF THE CAR. MY SON'S CAR CAUGHT FIRE AFTER HE HAD PARKED IT FOR THE NIGHT. AFTER 10 MINUTES HE WAS CALLED AT HIS APARTMENT BY A FRIEND WHO TOLD HIM HIS CAR WAS ON FIRE. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS WHATSOEVER. NO WARNING LIGHTS, UNUSUAL SMELLS, OR HINTS OF IMPENDING DOOM FOR HIS CAR.
CAR CUTS OFF RANDOMLY- WHEN MOVING OR WHEN STATIONARY. MAY OR MAY NOT RESTART IMMEDIATELY. IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN STOPPED, TURNING, OR IN MOTION.
AFTER FUELING GAS TANK TO FULL LEVEL THE CAR STARTS AND RUNS FINE FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO BLOCKS DOWN THE STREET THEN THE ENGINE ABRUPTLY SHUTS OFF AND STALLS IN TRAFFIC (DANGEROUS). THE VEHICLE REQUIRES RESTARTING TWICE MORE BEFORE IT WILL RUN NORMALLY. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE GAS TANK IS FULLY FILLED. NO PROBLEM IF THE TANK IS FILLED LESS THAN FULL. THIS HAS OCCURRED THE LAST THREE TIMES GAS TANK WAS FULLY FUELED. 2006 DODGE CHARGER SRT8 6.1L HEMI.
I HAVE HAD THIS 2006 DODGE CHARGER FOR A WHILE .NOW IT'S BEEN STALLING AND SOMETIMES SHUTTING OFF FOR NO REASON. ME AND MY 3 YEAR OLD GRANDBABY WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I STARTED TO GO CAR STALLED AND SHUT OFF. NO WAS BEHIND ME AT THE TIME, SO I WAS TRYING TO GET IT TO START,WHEN I LOOKED UP . SAW A TRUCK FLYING UP ON US. THANK GOD NO ONE WAS BESIDE US OR HE WOULD OF REAR ENDED US. MY BOYFRIEND IS A MECHANIC.HE HAS WORKED FOR CHRYSLER FOR OVER 32 YEARS. HE CAN'T SEEM TO FIND THE CAUSE OF IT. NO CODES NOTHING. HE CAN'T TALKING TO HALF OF THE BUS. WE REPLACED THROTTLE BODY,TCM,PCM AND SOME OTHER THINGS. STILL NOTHING HAS HELPED. I HAVE OWNED TWO OTHER CHARGERS. THIS ONE IS A NIGHT MARE. PLEASE DO SOMETHING. I'M GETTING TO THE POINT I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT.
TAKATA INFLATORS. WHEN I FILL THE TANK WITH GAS AND START DRIVING IT WILL SPUTTER, JERK AND STALL. WHEN IT STALLS AND I FINALLY GET IT STARTED, I PRESS ON THE GAS LIGHTLY IT DOESN'T MOVE AND THEN IT LUNGES FORWARD. THIS JUST STARTED IN THE LAST MONTH, BUT IT NOW HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL THE TANK FOR ABOUT THE FIRST 20-30 MILES DRIVEN. I'VE READ THAT HIS IS AN ISSUE WITH THESE CARS. I ALSO SEE THE WARRANTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MANY VEHICLES REGARDING THIS ISSUE BUT ON THIS PARTICULAR CAR THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS VIN. THE CAR HAS 57500 MILES ON IT.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING, NO MATTER THE SPEED, AND THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHEN VEHICLE STALLS PREVENTING ME FROM BEING ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, EVEN ON THE INTERSTATE WITH OTHER FAST MOVING VEHICLES BEHIND ME, AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE HAD DIFFERENT PARTS REPLACED TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, AND WAS TOLD THE ENTIRE FUEL TANK WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I WENT ONLINE TO SEE IF OTHER DODGE OWNERS EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM, AND WAS AMAZED AT THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE EXACT SAME THING. THIS WEBSITE IS ONE OF MANY. CAR LOSES POWER AND STALLS/SHUTS OFF WHILE IDLING AT STOPS, SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN AFTER FILLING UP. HAS HAPPENED AT SPEEDS AS HIGH AS 70 MPH, HOWEVER WHEN HAPPENING AT HIGH SPEEDS THE CAR RESTARTS ON ITS OWN. WHEN IT CUTS OFF AFTER IDLING YOU MUST MANUALLY RESTART VEHICLE.
CAR STALLS WITHOUT WARNING AT STOPLIGHTS AS WELL AS ON THE ROAD. IF IF THE CAR IS MOVING THE ENGINE WILL USUALLY CATCH AND RESTART BUT DUE TO THE WAY THE TRANSMISSION OPERATES, THERE IS A PERIOD OF TIME BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION REENGAGES SO THE CAR ACTS AS IF IT IS IN NEUTRAL WHICH IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND HAS CAUSED MANY CLOSE CALLS WITH CONFLICTING TRAFFIC AT INTERSECTIONS. A QUICK SEARCH ON GOOGLE WILL SHOW THIS IS A CHRONIC PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS AND THERE IS NO KNOWN ROOT CAUSE AND DODGE HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO INVESTIGATE THE ROOT CAUSE. AS A RESULT IT HAS BEEN LEFT TO THE OWNER TO SPEND POTENTIALLY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR PARTS SWAPPING TO TROUBLESHOOT THE PROBLEM BUT WITH LITTLE SUCCESS. IN MOST CASES THE PROBLEM IS NEVER RESOLVED OR SIMPLY RETURNS SHORTLY AFTER BEING "FIXED" BY THE DEALER. NOTE: THIS IS NOT RELATED TO THE GAS TANK ISSUE WHICH HAS SIMILAR SYMPTOMS. I HAVE REPLACED THE GAS TANK IN MY CAR HOPING IT WOULD RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT DID NOT.

THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, AND THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING FINE UNTIL I FILLED IT UP. I DID NOT OVER FILL, I NEVER TOP OFF.

DID SEE THAT FOR MY MAKE AND MODEL AND YEAR OF CAR THERE WERE WARRANTIES EXTENDED FOR GAS TANK TO BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME ISSUE, NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. AND DEALERSHIP WILL NOT TOUCH MY GAS TANK.
I HAVE A 2006 DODGE CHARGER THAT RANDOMLY DIES WHEN I'M DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN TOWN AT SLOW SPEEDS TURNING CORNERS OR SITTING STILL IN PARK IT'S DIED ON ME SEVERAL TIMES WHEN PEOPLE HAVE HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES TO AVOID HITTING THE SIDE OF ME AND IT HAPPENS NO MATTER WHAT GEAR ITS IN OR WHAT THE RPM IS AT I'VE REPLACE THE ECM THE TCM ALTERNATOR BATTERY AND EVERYTHING I'VE LOOKED UP ABOUT IT ONLINE NOBODY HAS A DEFINITE FIX BUT THE PROBLEM EXISTS IN A LOT OF 2006 DODGE CHARGERS, AND IT ALMOST ALWAYS GIVES ME ONE OF TWO CODES ONE IS LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE ECM AND THE OTHER IS LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE TCM AND THEN THERE'S OTHER TIMES THAT IT GIVES NO CODE
MY CAR MOTOR BLEW OUT OF NO WHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF ME DRIVING IT. IT WAS BEING WELL MAINTAINED UP UNTIL THIS HAPPENED TOO. ANYTHING THAT COULD OF CAUSED THIS?

THIS ODOR IS MOST PREVALENT WHEN YOU FIRST START THE CAR AND REMAINS.THE ODOR IS STRONGEST WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED AND THE AC IS ON, THE ODOR IS MADE WORSE BY SWITCHING THE AC SELECTOR TO PULL IN AIR FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THIS GREATLY CONCERNS ME BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO BE ENGAGING DEADLY METHANE FUMES.DODGE TOLD ME THEY WOULD DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE FOR 130 BUT I FEEL A SAFETY RISK SUCH AS THIS SHOULD BE EXAMINED FREE OF CHARGE BY THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE SOME IS POISONED OR DIES

I WAS IN LINE AT TIM HORTON'S, I HAD ORDERED, BUT NOT YET PAID. I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE (CAR WAS STATIONARY), AND THE AS THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME MOVED UP, I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE TO ROLL THE CAR FORWARD. THE CAR BEGAN ACCELERATING ON IT'S OWN. WITH MY FOOT STILL ON THE BRAKE, I PUSHED THE BRAKE TO THE FLOOR AT WHICH POINT THE ABS STRUGGLED TO SLOW THE ACCELERATION DOWN. THE RESULT OF THE INCIDENT IS MY CAR ONLY CAME TO A STOP ONCE I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I LOOKED DOWN ONCE THE CAR STOPPED MOVING AND CLEARLY ONLY SAW MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE WITH THE BRAKE PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. LUCKILY THE ONLY REAL DAMAGE WAS SOME FLAKED PAINT ON THE FRONT OF MY CAR. THE OTHER CAR, AS WELL AS MYSELF DECIDED THE ISSUE WAS NOT WORTH REPORTING TO THE INSURANCE COMPANIES. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY DAD, WHO TOLD ME TO CALL THE DEALER. I THEN CALLED THE DEALER WHOM SAID DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR, AND GET THE CAR TOWED TO THEM FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DODGE/JEEP DEALERSHIP IN WHICH I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2007. THIS ISSUE HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, IN THE 11 YEARS I'VE OWNED THE CAR.

WHEN KEY INSERTED ON DRIVER SIDE ( ONLY DOOR SITE TO INSERT KEY) THE DOOR LOCKS AND UNLOCKS CONTINUOUSLY WHILE CHIRPING. ( BATTERY TO FOB NEW).EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TO SLIGHTEST TOUCH OR HOVER; DOOR LOCKS HAVE A MIND OF THEIR OWN( UP AND DOWN REPETIVELY).ONCE UNLOCKED, ALARM GOES OFF UNTIL KEY IS INSERTED INTO IGNITION TO SILENCE. MAY TAKE 3-4 MINUTES TO ENTER CAR. POSE DANGER AT NIGHT OR DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER. VEHICLE PERFORMED THE ABOVE STATIONARY BUT HAVE BEEN LOCKED OUT WHILE CAR WAS RUNNING AFTER KEY INSERTED; DOOR CLOSED MANUALLY AFTER UNLOCKED AND CAR LOCKED BY ITSELF WHEN DOOR CLOSED INSTANTLY. REQUIRED A LOCK SMITH TO OPEN.

IT SEEMS LIKE MY 2006 CHARGER IS ONE OF THE 2006 CHARGERS THAT ISN'T COVERED FOR SOME REASON. I CHECKED MY VIN ON YOUR WEBSITE AND THE RECALL DOESN'T SHOW. THIS HAPPENED IN MY DRIVEWAY. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR LOSES POWER AND SLOWS DOWN, THE ENGINE IS RUNNING ROUGH AND WHEN PULLED OVER THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, THE CAR WILL NOT MOVE AT ALL. CURRENTLY SETTING UP APPOINTMENT WITH DODGE DEALERSHIP TO ADDRESS PROBLEM HOWEVER NO CAUTION LIGHT IS APPEARING ON THE DASH. THIS MALFUNCTION HAPPENS AT ANY SPEED ON HIGHWAY OR CITY STREET.
THE CAR STALLS AFTER FILLING UP THE FUEL TANK. DODGE HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THESE TANKS BUT SAYS MY CAR IS NOT COVERED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, I HAVE HAD IT STALL ON THE HIGHWAY AND IN TRAFFIC. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS ISN'T A SAFETY RECALL.
TRANSMISSION AND CAR COMPUTER ARE NOT WORKING TOGETHER PROPERLY, MAKING THE TRANSMISSION SHUT OFF AS I DRIVE THE CAR. CAN HAPPEN AT A RED LIGHT, IN THE HIGHWAY, EVEN WHEN IT'S PARKED. BROUGHT IT TO SEVERAL MECHANICS NO ONE COULD FIX IT. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIM NO OPEN RECALL BUT YET THE CAR ONLY HAS 89K MILES. WAS BUILT WRONG OFF THE LINE IF YOU ASK ME.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN NUMBER: K39 (TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER) WAS NOT APPLICABLE TO HIS VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000.
