TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE LOWER BACK, UPPER BACK, AND NECK, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. WHEN I ARRIVE TO ALLSTAR DODGE JEEP IN BRIDEGETON THEY DENIED MY RECALL CUS I WOULDNT PURCHASE BATTERY FROM THEM SO THEY TURN ME N MY CHILDREN AROUND N DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM
I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT AND HEARD A POP. THE COOLING FAN BLADE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR HAD BROKEN AND MADE A HOLE IN MY RADIATOR. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC AND THEY REPLACED THE FAN BLADE AND THE RADIATOR. THREE WEEKS LATER THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE FAN BLADE ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAR, ONCE AGAIN MAKING A HOLE IN MY NEW RADIATOR. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A HUGE DESIGN FLAW AND, APPARENTLY, A HUGE PROBLEM WITH 2006-2008 CHARGERS. I'M SO GLAD I WAS IN TOWN ON SMALL LOCAL STREETS BOTH TIMES WHEN THIS HAPPENED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE IF IT HAD HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY. I CHECKED WITH THE DEALER TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY KIND OF RECALL FOR THIS PART AND THERE ISN'T. I HAVE THE 5.7L V6 HEMI CHARGER AND IT HAS A LITTLE OVER 100,000 MILES.
THE GEAR COLUMN SHIFTER WILL NOT COME OUT OF PARK.
2007 DODGE CHARGERS AND I REPLACED THE STARTER AND STILL DID NOT START UP I WAS TOLD IT IS POSIBLY THE WIN MODULE
OUR CAR ONLY HAS 32641 MILES ON IT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE GEAR SHIFT PIN OR SPRING FOR OUR MODEL BETWEEN 2007 &2009 WE CAN'T GET THE CAR OUT OF PARK AND SWOPE DODGE WON'T TAKE CARE OF AND NEITHER DODGE CORP OR MOPAR WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT"S PAST WARRANTY. SO IT SITS IN OUR GARAGE WHERE ITS BEEN PARKED FOR A YEAR USELESS ITS OUR VACATION CAR AND I'M NOW ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND CAN'T AFFORD A HUGE REPAIR BILL .
CAR WAS PARKED. FLOOR SHIFTER WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK, IGNITION KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT OF IGNITION SWITCH. AC DISTRIBUTION HOUSING BROKEN,VEHICLE WHEELS BENT FROM NORMAL DRIVING. DEALER SAID KEY, IGNITION SWITCH, FLOOR SHIFTER, OTHER ASSOCIATED PARTS NEED REPLACEMENT.. OVER $7000 REPAIR, WHEELS NOT INCLUDED.
I DROVE MY 2007 DODGE CHARGER TO A LOCAL STORE. I WENT IN AND CAME OUT INSIDE OF 10 MINUTES. I STARTED MY IT STARTED MAKING THE UNUSUAL NOISE. I THEN DROVE IT TO HILLTOP CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM LOCATED AT 3291 AUTO PLAZA DRIVE, RICHMOND, CA 94806 (510) 243-6100 WHERE I WAS CHARGED OVER $1100 TO BE TOLD THAT MY ENGINE HAD DROPPED A VALVE SEAT. I WAS THEN TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE OVER $9000 FOR A NEW ENGINE AS THEY DON'T REPAIR OLD ENGINES.
VEHICLE SHIFT INTERLOCK LATCH IS BROKEN. THE LATCH ALLOWS THE VEHICLE TO SHIFT FROM GEAR TO GEAR OR WILL PREVENT THE SHIFTING. AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE, IT WAS LEARNED THE PIECE WAS A RECALL PIECE (K39) BUT ACCORDING TO DODGE ONLY ON CERTAIN VEHICLES AND OUR VEHICLE DOES NOT MEET THE STANDARDS REQUIRED FOR RECALL. ALTHOUGH DODGE JUST SIMPLY SHIPS THE SAME ITEM TO VARIOUS LOCATION ACROSS THE WORLD, OUR VEHICLE WAS BUILT IN THE AREA THAT DOES NOT AFFORD RECALL STATUS; EVENTHOUGH IT WAS BUILT WITH THE EXACT SAME FAULTY PART.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NHTSA WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN THAT COVERED THE FAILURE. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE FAN FAILED. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE ENGINE EMITTED A LOUD NOISE AND THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (CHICK'S AUTO REPAIR, 540-347-3992, WARRENTON, VA) WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAN FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE RADIATOR TO FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, 540-905-7223, WARRENTON, VA) FOR A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC TEST, WHICH CONFIRMED THAT THE ENGINE FAN BLADE FRACTURED AND CAUSED THE RADIATOR TO FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENGINE BLADE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
CAR STARTED AND WOULDN'T MOVE OUT OF PARK. HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. BROKEN INTERNAL SHIFTER MECHANISM, THEY REPLACED THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY. THIS IS A RECALL ON OTHER MODELS BUT NOT THE SRT 8. THE SRT 8 MODEL NEEDS TO BE ADDED TOO. THE CAR ONLY HAD 62,000 MILES WHEN THIS OCCURRED.

VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. CAR WAS TAKEN TO DODGE DEALER WHERE OTHER RECALLS THAT WERE ASSOCIATED WITH VIN WERE ADDRESSED (I.E. DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG) THE DEALER WAS NOT ABLE TO ADDRESS THE INTERLOCK LEVER AS IT WAS NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM AND THEY DIRECTED ME TO CONTACT CHRYSLER TO ADDRESS THE DISCREPANCY. CHRYSLER HAD ISSUED "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39" IN FEBRUARY OF 2011 THAT ADDRESSED THIS TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER. THE NOTIFICATION INDICATES THERE ARE ABOUT 28,800 VEHICLES THAT MAY BE AFFECTED AND PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONS ON GETTING IT REPAIRED IF YOUR VEHICLE BUILD DATE FALLS BETWEEN JUNE 25,2007 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 21,2007 (MY VEHICLE WAS BUILT 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THIS WINDOW) AND BECAUSE OF THIS DOES NOT POPULATE INTO THE DEALERCONNECT GLOBAL RECALL SYSTEM. IT IS MY LOGIC THAT THE DATES ESTABLISHED IN THE NOTIFICATION DO NOT FULLY ENCOMPASS THE ISSUE BEING ADDRESSED, AND BECAUSE OF THESE HARD DATES THAT DICTATE WHETHER YOUR VEHICLE IS AFFECTED (REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE STUCK IN PARK) , I HAVE HAD NO PROGRESS IN DEALING WITH CHRYSLER GROUP 'RECALL' ASSISTANCE CENTER BECAUSE TO THEM, ON PAPER, MY CAR IS "NOT AFFECTED". FOR AMPLIFYING DATA, REFERENCE "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39"
MY VEHICLE WAS RELEASED TO ME FROM CARSTAR OF MACON WITH A KNOWINGLY INOPERABLE TPMS ON ALL FOUR OF MY TIRES. I WAS NOT TOLD THIS BEFORE I PAID AND DROVE AWAY. I GOT 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD AND FELT VIOLENT SHAVING IN THE STEERING WHEEL. I TURNED AROUND AND DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO CARSTAR AND WAITED ABOUT 20 MINUTES FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT THEY WERE AWARE THAT THE TPMS WAS INOPERABLE. THAT THEY WERE AWARE THAT ALL FOUR SENSORS WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THAT ONE HAD ACTUALLY FALLEN OUT INTO THE TIRE ITSELF AND WAS BOUNCING AROUND IN THE WHEEL WELL KNOCKING OFF THE ALIGNMENT OF THE VEHICLE. THEY GAVE ME AN OPTION OF FIXING IT OR REMOVING THE SENSORS. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD TRY TO CONTACT MY INSURENCE COMPANY TO SEE IF THEY WOULD PAY FOR THE DAMAGED PARTS THAT WERE OPERATING NORMALLY BEFORE THEY SWITCHED OUT THE NEW TIRE WHEELS. AGAIN THEY RELEASE THE VEHICLE TO ME WITH AN INOPERABLE TPMS SYSTEM AND ADVISE ME TO DRIVE OVER 60 MPH.

WHILE AT A RED LIGHT, THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT MOVED VERY SLOWLY. DURING EACH ATTEMPT TO ACCELERATE, THE TICKING NOISE GREW LOUDER AND THE VEHICLE SHOOK VIOLENTLY. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE EMERGING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TICKING SOUND OCCURRED ONE OTHER TIME, BUT IT WENT AWAY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 201,000.

TAKATA RECALL - THIS IS A POLICE FLEET VEHICLE AND HAS BEEN OUT OF SERVICE SINCE NOVEMBER OF 2016 BASED SOLELY ON THIS RECALL. I HAVE TRIED DEALING WITH FCA FLEET MANAGEMENT WITH NO SUCCESS. THE LOCAL DEALER SAYS THEY HAVE THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG BUT NOT THE PASS. SIDE AIRBAG. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE AS WE HAVE BEEN DOWN A VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A YEAR AT THIS POINT WITH NO REMEDY IN SIGHT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 DODGE CHARGER EQUIPPED WITH AMERICAN EAGLE BOSS MOTORSPORT 338 18.5 CHROME RIMS. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, AN ABNORMAL SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE RIM HAD FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE RIM WAS REPLACED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING, AND ABNORMAL SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE AS IT SPUN OUT OF CONTROL. AS A RESULT, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL DISENGAGED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PIECES OF THE RIM WERE SCATTERED ACROSS THE ROAD. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED WHIPLASH AND OTHER MINOR INJURIES THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I WAS IN A CRASH THAT WAS WORSE THEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN IF THE AIR BAG HAD DEPLOYED THE WAY IT SHOULD HAVE I WAS SLAMMED IN TO THE STEERING WHEEL SO HARD IT WHIPPED ME BACK AND FORTH TWICE AFTER I LOOKED DOWN MY AIR BAG RIPPED OUT THE WHEEL AND NOT CAME OUT A LITTLE IT NEVER DEPLOYED THE WAY THE AIR BAG SHOULD MY PASSENGER ALSO WAS SLAMMED HARD IN TO THE DASH BOARD AND THEN HER AIR BAG SHOT HER OFF THE DASH BUT DIDN'T DEPLOY PROPER. AIR BAGS ARE MEANT TO SAVE LIVES AND MY AIR BAG ALMOST TOOK MY LIFE THE PAIN IS IN REAL I COULDN'T WISH THIS ON ANYONE AND NOW I HAVE TO LIVE MY LIFE IN SO MUCH PAIN I HAVE A NEARLY BROKEN NECK WITH ALMOST. 07 DODGE CHARGER RT RADIATOR COOLING FAN BROKE APART WHILE CAR WAS IN MOTION DOWN CITY STREET AT LOW SPEED. CAR INSTANTLY OVERHEATED TO DANGER ZONE CUTTING COOLANT HOSE CAUSING A LOSS OF COOLANT.
WAS GOING TO TOWN AND AS SOON AS I STOPPED AT THE STORE I SEEN STEAM COMING FROM UNDER MY HOOD AND POPPED THE HOOD AND HAD WATER SPRAYING OUT OF MY RADIATOR BY THE FAN GOT TO LOOKING AT IT GOOD AND ALL THE FAN BLADES WAS BROKE OFF AND ONE OF THEN WENT INTO THE RADIATOR. TOOK IT TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP IN TOWN AND THEY TOLD ME THE RECALL L08 WAS ONLY FOR THE V6 MOTORS AND I HAD TO FIX IT MYSELF.

I WAS DRIVING WHEN I HEARD A LOUD NOISE. I THEN WENT TO A REPAIR SHOP, I WAS TOLD THAT ONE OF THE BLADES ON THE FAN HAD BROKE AND PUT A HOLE IN MY RADIATOR. I CONTACTED DODGE AND THE LADY I SPOKE WITH DID KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT SHE STATED THAT MY CAR WAS MADE IN A DIFFERENT FACTORY SO I WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. WHICH I THINK IS UNFAIR SINCE I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM LIKE EVERYONE ELSE

TAKATA RECALL. THIS VEHICLE IS USED BY MY SON WHO CAR POOLS TO SCHOOL. THE DISTANCE IS APPROX 35 - 45 MINUTE COMMUTE EACH WAY. WHILE I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL , I DON'T THINK THE SOLUTION IS SATISFACTORY. SINCE THIS VEHICLE HAS A PASSENGER MOST EVERY DAY I THINK DODGE SHOULD PROVIDE A LOANER/RENTAL UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. LIVES ARE AT STAKE!

MY HUSBAND AND I WERE RIDING IN OUR VEHICLE, ALL OF A SUDDEN WE HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND COME FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. MY HUSBAND THEN OBSERVED THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ON THE VEHICLE RISING, AND THE RED LIGHT SUDDENLY APPEARED. WE WERE ONLY MINUTES AWAY FROM OUR HOME WHEN THIS OCCURRED, SO WE WERE ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY RETURNED HOME. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, THE HOOD WAS OPENED AND WE BOTH OBSERVED A PLASTIC FAN BLADE BROKEN AND HANGING OUT OF THE FAN'S CASING. WE ALSO OBSERVED FLUID INSIDE OF THE HOOD UNDERNEATH OF THW LINE DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM THE BROKEN HANGING FAN BLADE. WE ALSO OBSERVED FLUID ON THE GROUND DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH OF THIS LINE. VEHICLE HAS 137,000 MILES ON IT. VEHICLE IS SCHEDULED TO GO INTO SHOP MONDAY MORNING.

AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER WAS ABLE TO BE PLACED IN DRIVE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V583000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,300.
MY RADIATOR FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY LOCKED UP AND A BLADE CAME OFF. THE BLADE WENT INTO THE RADIATOR. IT DAMANGED THE RADIATOR AND LEFT ME STRANDED. HAD NO PRIER NOISES OR PROLEMS. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP. COST ME $677.27 TO REPLACE THE RADIATOR, THE HOESE, ANTIFREEZE, HOSE CLAMPS AND RADIATOR FAN MOTOR ASSEMLY. THE GUY THAT FIXED MINE SAID HE SEE THIS EVERY WEEK IN CHARGERS. INFACT OUR WHOLE POLICE DEPARTMENT SWITCHED FROM CHARGES FOR THIS REASON. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THE DODGE # AND THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING TO DO TO HELP OUT BECAUSE OF AGE AND MILEAGE OF CARE. WASN'T HAPPY BECAUSE ONLINE THERE ARE PLENTY OF DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE.MY DEALERSHIP DOESN'T FIX THEM UNLESS THEY ARE UNDERWARRANTY. THEY SEND THEM OUT TO THE SAME GUY I WENT TO IF THEY ARE OUT OF WARRANTY. I GUESS NOT TO SHOW ON THEIR BOOKS THE PROBLEM.
AS I'M DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY IN THE FAST LANE THE VEHICLE STALLS. I'M ABLE TO MANEUVER ACROSS ALL THREE LANES OF TRAFFIC TO GET ON THE SHOULDER AND CALL AAA ROADSIDE. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK GETS TO MY LOCATION HE PUTS 2 GALLONS OF GAS IN MY TANK AND THE VEHICLE STARTS RIGHT UP. MEANWHILE THE GAS GAUGE IS SHOWING A QUARTER TANK. AFTER LOOKING UP IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE I CAME ACROSS NUMEROUS ONLINE POSTS STATING THAT THE SAME THING HAS HAPPENED TO THEM AS WELL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AS IT CAN RESULT IN A VERY BAD ACCIDENT FROM LOSING POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES AS A RESULT OF THE ENGINE STALLING OUT FROM FUEL STARVATION AND THE GAS GAUGE SHOWING A QUARTER TANK.
