ELECTRICAL SYSTEM INSIDE CAR SHUTS OFF AND TURNS BACK ON REPEATEDLY, EVEN IF I AM ONLY GOING 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD. THE FUEL AND ENGINE TIE TOGETHER AS ONE; IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE THE EXHAUST LETS OUT A VERY STRONG ODOR THAT CONTINUE'S FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF ANY TRIP. THEN WHEN ACCELERATING USING AUTOMATIC DRIVE OR EVEN THE DRY CLUTCH THE EXHAUST MAKES A LOUD RATTLING NOISE AS IT SWITCHES FROM GEAR TO GEAR. ALSO, DURING DRIVING THE ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION FEELS LIKE IT IS SLIPPING AND HAS HESITATION WHEN YOU ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING COMPLETELY. *JS
VEHICLE HAD SLIGHT DAMAGE FROM CONCRETE WHEEL STOP IN PARKING LOT. THIS REVEALED PRIOR DAMAGE .CAR WAS SOLD AS NEW. 4 WEEKS PRIOR. DURING INSPECTION FENDER TO BUMPER BOLTS FOUND MISSING. OTHER SCREWS NOT TIGHTENED AND MISINSTALLED. I REFUSED TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION. VEHICLE BACK AT DEALER FOR MONTHS NO REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF SCREWS EVER OFFERED. TOLD BY DEALERSHIP OWNER IT'S OK DRIVE IT THEY DON'T NEED ALL THOSE SCREWS TO HOLD IT TOGETHER. CHRYSLER NOTIFIED MANY TIMES DOES NOTHING BUT. SAY SORRY FOR YOUR TROUBLE. THEY HAVE THE MONEY AND THE CAR. I HAVE NOTHING. THIS CAR IS A BAD ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE IGNITION WAS STARTED, THE ESC WARNING ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
I WASH STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WHEN VEHICLE MOTOR STARTED REVVING UP ALL THE WAY TO WHERE THE TACHOMETER WAS FULLY IN THE RED. MY FOOT WAS NOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND NOTHING WAS PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR DOWN. THERE WERE SEVERAL CARS IN FRONT OF ME AND AS WELL BEHIND ME. I COULD NOT GET THE CAR OUT OF DRIVE AS IT CREPT FORWARD. I HAD TO TURN IGNITION OFF TO STOP THE CAR! WHEN LIGHT TURNED TO GREEN AND THE OTHER CARS HAD MOVED FORWARD I THEN STARTED THE CAR AND PULLED IT TO THE ROADSIDE. TURNED THE CAR OFF AGAIN AND RESTARTED THE CAR. EVERYTHING SEEMED NORMAL AND CONTINUED TO DRIVE TO MY DESTINATION. LATER DRIVING THE CAR HOME WAS DEFINITELY AN ADVENTURE OF PURE NERVES DUE TO THE SCARE THIS INCIDENT. I HAVE NOW CONTACTED THE DODGE DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND WAITING NOW FOR AN HOUR FOR SOMEONE TO CONTACT ME BACK FOR AN APPOINTMENT. THIS WAS A VERY SCARY SITUATION TO HAVE HAPPENED BUT THANKFUL NO ONE WAS HURT. *TR
VEHICLE STALLS AT ANY SPEED. ALSO INTERMITTENT HARD STARTING. *TR
I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AND HEARD A POP. ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED ROLLING FORWARD WHILE THE LIGHT WAS STILL RED! FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS COMING AND I WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE THROUGH THE LIGHT WITHOUT GETTING HIT. WHEN I TRIED TO APPLY THE BRAKES THERE WAS AN INTENSE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE FROM THE PEDAL WITH THE SOUND OF AIR BLOWING OUT FROM THE PEDAL. I PARKED THE CAR THINKING IT JUST NEEDED A RESET, BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK. ON MONDAY MORNING I WAS ABLE TO TAKE IT TO A LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS A BAD BRAKE BOOSTER. FORTUNATELY THE CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. DODGE NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE BECAUSE IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF 2013 DARTS HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY 2013 DODGE DART ONLY 2 YEARS AND AM SO FRUSTRATED WITH THE PURCHASE. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP SEVERAL TIMES WITH MULTIPLE ISSUES. JUST YESTERDAY I HAD TO PUT IT IN THE THE SHOP TO HAVE THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP STATED THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM THAT I NEEDED TO SUBSCRIBE TO THE NAVIGATION SERVICE. ARE THEY KIDDING ME, I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A FAULTY UNIT, DUE TO THE FACT IT GOES COMPLETELY OUT WITH A WHITE SCREEN AND IT JUST DOES NOT WORK. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON CONSTANTLY, THE ENGINE IS RUNNING ROUGH. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY AT MY COST OF $150.00 NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT ONE. THE SPEEDOMETER IS INCORRECT, THE INTERIOR LIGHT RATTLES AND DRIVES ME CRAZY ON LONG TRIPS. I HAVE HAD TO TAKEN IT IN FOR SEVERAL FRONT END ALIGNMENTS AT MY COST. IT JUST WILL NOT STAY ALIGNED, ITS SO FRUSTRATING AND COSTLY. BUT THE REAL SCARY ITEM IS WHEN IT FELT LIKE I WAS IN NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING AND HAD LOW TO NO ENGINE POWER WHILE DRIVING, I SLOWLY PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE RIDE AND TURNED THE KEY OFF AND THE ENGINE WAS STILL GOING, I TOOK THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION AND IT WAS STILL CRANKED. I AM PRAYING THAT THEY GET THESE CARS OFF THE ROAD AND PUT THEM IN A BUY BACK PROGRAM BECAUSE THEY ARE A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC. I AM SO UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED WITH MY DODGE THAT I WILL NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER.
THE ISSUE I AM CONTINUING TO HAVE IS DURING ACCELERATION, USUALLY ONTO THE INTERSTATE, I WILL LOSE ABOUT 2/3 OF MY ENGINE POWER DURING ACCELERATION. IF THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON, NOT ACTIVATED, IT WILL TURN ITSELF OFF AND NOT TURN BACK ON. THE POWER LOSS IS SIGNIFICANT. THE ONLY OPTION TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT, OR MAKING OTHER DRIVERS ANGRY BECAUSE I HAVE SUDDENLY SLOWED ON AN ON RAMP, IS TO PULL TO THE SHOULDER AND TURN OFF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO RESET THIS ISSUE. IT HAS HAPPENED 6 TIMES SINCE THE FIRST OCCURRENCE IN FEBRUARY. AFTER THE 5TH TIME THE ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON AND I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. TO MY UNDERSTANDING THEY JUST RESET THE LIGHT. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN ONCE SINCE. I AM ALSO NOW DEALING WITH TURBO SURGING DURING ACCELERATION AND OVER REVVING AT STOP LIGHTS AND WHILE SHIFTING. THE RPM'S ARE NOT DROPPING AS I SHIFT UNTIL I LET OUT THE CLUTCH. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER 3 TIMES, TWICE OVER NIGHT. THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND HAVE SENT ME ON MY WAY. I CALLED DODGE AND THEY OPENED A CASE OCT 10, AGAIN CANNOT DUPLICATE, CASE CLOSED. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE ME TO BE REAR ENDED EITHER ON THE ENTRANCE RAMP OR ON THE SHOULDER WHILE TURNING MY CAR OFF AND BACK ON. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE STEERING FUSE NEEDED TO BE TIGHTENED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED AFTER A COMMUTE HOME FROM WORK. MY WIFE NOTICED A BULGE IN THE KUHMO TIRE ON HER DRIVER'S SIDE REAR. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TIRE AT NO COST. THIS HAPPENED AT ROUGHLY 2000 MILES. THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED ON THE COMMUTE HOME FROM WORK AS WELL. THIS TIME THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE EXPLODED AT 55 MPH SENDING MY WIFE INTO A PANIC STATE AS SHE ATTEMPTED TO SLOW THE VEHICLE SAFELY. THIS OCCURRED AT ROUGHLY 4400 MILES. THE DEALERSHIP HAD TO REPLACE THE RIM AND TIRE AS THE EXPLOSION RUINED BOTH. THE THIRD INCIDENT OCCURRED TODAY AS SHE GOT OUT OF HER CAR AT WORK SHE NOTICED THE MOST RECENTLY REPLACED TIRE HAD A HUGE BULGE IN THE SIDE WALL AGAIN. SO I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO INFORMED ME THERE WAS NOTHING MORE THEY COULD DO. KUHMO AND CHRYSLER HAVE REFUSED TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE AND WE WERE FORCED TO SPEND $700.00 ON NEW TIRES SO WE COULD MAKE A FAMILY TRIP THIS MEMORIAL DAY. WE PLAN TO SEEK LEGAL ADVICE ON THIS ISSUE AND FEEL THAT NEITHER CHRYSLER OR KUHMO TAKE SAFETY SERIOUSLY. *TR
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FREQUENTLY. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED, BUT BY THEY TIME I GET AN APPOINTMENT, THE LIGHT HAS GONE OFF. THIS IS QUITE ANNOYING BECAUSE I WANT TO MAKE SURE MY CAR IS RUNNING WELL WITHOUT DEFECT.
THE CAR STARTED VIBRATING AND SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY AND THEN BEGAN TO SMOKE. I HAD TO STOP IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND GET IT TOWED. SINCE WE'VE PURCHASED THE CAR ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO, WE'VE BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP MONTHLY FOR ONE ISSUE OR ANOTHER (ELECTRICAL, PIECES FALLING APART, TIRE ISSUES, SPLASH GUARD ISSUES, ETC). ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE AND STALLED WITH THE FRONT QUARTER OF THE VEHICLE IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. VEHICLE WAS QUICKLY PUT INTO PARK AND REVERSED INTO SAFETY.
SINCE 2/5/14, MY "CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT" AS WELL AS AUDIBLE ALERT, DISPLAY SPORADICALLY WHEN DRIVING. THIS LIGHT AND ALERT USUALLY COME ON WHEN STOPPED, FOR INSTANCE AT STOPLIGHT OR STOP SIGN, AND THEN WHEN STARTING TO TAKE OFF OR ACCELERATE. I'M CONCERNED THERE MAY BE ELECTRICAL ISSUES, A SHORT IN WIRING, OR BATTERY OR CHARGING PROBLEMS. I'M GOING TO HAVE IT SERVICED THIS WEEK... *TR
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CUTS OUT SEVERAL TIMES WHEN DRIVING. AT NIGHT IT IS BAD BECAUSE ALL THE INSIDE LIGHT GO OUT AND YOU CAN TELL YOUR SPEED OR ANYTHING UNTIL IT TURNS BACK ON. THE ENGINE AND FUEL ARE ONE ISSUE; AFTER STARTING IT THE EXHAUST HAS A BAD ODOR AND STAYS DURING THE ENTIRE TRAVEL UNTIL IT IS TURNED OFF. THE ENGINE ALSO HESITATES AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP. *JS
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE DODGE DART 12/23/2013 (428 MILES). ON 2/3/2014 STARTED VEHICLE TO HEAD TO WORK, PUT INTO GEAR (DRIVE) PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC, STARTED TO GO, THEN TRANSMISSION FLASHING ON DASH, STATING GEAR NOT FOUND. COULD NOT SHIFT THE VEHICLE, WOULDN'T MOVE. HAD TO BE PUSHED OUT OF TRAFFIC. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TOWED NUMEROUS TIMES SAME ONGOING PROBLEMS TO THIS DATE 9/18/2015. LEMON LAW WAS CONTACTED.

THE FAILURE OCCURRED ORIGINALLY WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS FIRST PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUNTINGTON JEEP CHRYSLER DODGE RAM (1220 E JERICHO TURNPIKE, HUNTINGTON, NY 11743, (631) 993-3300) WHERE THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPROGRAMMED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, THE CONTACT SUSPECTED THERE WAS AN ISSUE BECAUSE THE DEALER WAS ATTEMPTING TO REPAIR A DEFECTIVE PART. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO BROUGHT BACK AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE FOR OVERCONSUMPTION OF OIL. THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST, WHICH WAS STILL AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STATIONARY, SMOKE EMITTED FROM THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE AND "TRANSMISSION GETTING HOT" DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED. THE FUMES FROM THE SMOKE ALSO CAUSED THE CONTACT TO HAVE HEADACHES. THE CONTACT TOOK HIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO, ALONG WITH THE MANUFACTURER, STATED THAT THIS WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE WAS 1500.
TRAVELING 30 MPH ON ROAD AND NOTICED MY RIGHT REAR TIRE WENT FLAT. TIRE STORE SAID IT WAS A SIDEWALL BLOWOUT AND WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE IT. I REPLACED IT WITH SAME BRAND TIRE. 3 WEEKS LATER 2/16/2014 SAME EXACT THING HAPPENS TO MY RIGHT FRONT TIRE. SO BEING THE CAR IS NEW I WANTED TO KEEP THE TIRES ALL THE SAME BRAND. TIRE STORE GOT ME THE SAME TIRE. THE VERY NEXT DAY THAT 1 DAY OLD TIRE SIDEWALL BLOWS OUT. THESE ARE KUMHO SOLUS KH25 TIRES SIZE M225/45/17. I CALLED KUHMO USA AND WAS TOLD THERE IS A RECALL ON THOSE EXACT TIRES WITH SAME DOT NUMBERS K2X5YAL8 3411-2512. MY DOT NUMBERS WERE K2X5YAL8 WITH DATES 4812, 0313, 0913. I WAS TOLD THAT I DIDN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON ALL OF THESE KUMHO SOLUS KH25 TIRES. THEY ARE JUNK! NOT EVEN LASTING 1 DAY! I WILL NOT BE BUYING KUMHO EVER AGAIN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE DID NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT HAD TO SHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR, APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THEN THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE CONTACT CONSTANTLY HEARD A SCREECHING NOISE UPON APPLYING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO INCREASE THE RPMS ON A FREQUENT BASIS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENTLY FAILURE WITH THE CLUTCH FEW YEARS BACK AND WAS TAKEN TO MARTIN CHRYSLER DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT FIND A FAILURE. HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE CLUTCH STICKING AND GOING TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT WAS THE THIRD TIME THE FAILURE RECURRED AND WAS TAKEN TO MARTIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM DEALER, (1422 MAIN ST, UNION GROVE, WI 53182, (262) 878-1226) AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HYDRAULIC CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER, THE RESERVOIR HOSE AND THE CLUTCH PLATE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE WHOLE CLUTCH ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER: 74993030. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 27,000.
WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START MY DART, THE CLUTCH PEDAL WILL HAVE NO TENSION IN IT. THE PEDAL WILL GO STRAIGHT DOWN TO THE FLOOR WITH NO EFFORT AND WILL STICK DOWN. I HAVE TO USE MY FOOT TO PULL IT BACK UP. THE CAR WILL ALSO NOT GO INTO GEAR WHEN THIS OCCURS. YOU HAVE TO EITHER TURN THE CAR OFF OR LET IT STALL, THEN PUMP THE CLUTCH 10-20 TIMES IN ORDER TO GET THE TENSION NEEDED. SOMETIMES THIS DOESN'T HELP AT ALL AND YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ATTEMPT TO DRIVE IT. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE! FCA KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE, THEY'VE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 60,000, BUT MY CAR HAVING 83,XXX MILES THEY DON'T CARE. FIRST EXTENDED SERVICE CORPORATION WHO I PURCHASED AN "EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT" THROUGH DOESN'T CARE EITHER. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH A SUPERVISOR AND THE REPRESENTATIVE FLAT OUT TOLD ME "NO" AND HUNG UP. I'VE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR WELL OVER A YEAR. WE'VE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND OTHERS AROUND AND THEY SAID IT WOULDN'T BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN, HOW IS IT NOT A RECALL?!?
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. DEALERSHIP TECHNICIAN WAS ABLE TO PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE THAT CALLED FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR CAMSHAFT POS. SENSOR AND EVAP LEAK.
WHILE BRAKING, THIS WINTER, MY ABS WOULD ACTIVATE CAUSING MY DASHBOARD AND RADIO TO GO BLANK. IT WAS ONLY UNTIL RECENTLY THAT I LEARNED THAT WHILE THE SCREENS ARE BLANK AND REBOOTING MY CARS POWER STEERING SYSTEM IS ALSO INACTIVE. AFTER 4 ATTEMPTS AT FIXING THIS ISSUE ALL THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME IT THAT IT IS A GROUNDING ISSUE. *TR
I WENT OUT IN THE MORNING TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE. I TOOK THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER TO CHECK FOR SLUGGISH ACCELERATION. IT SEEMS THE TURBO ISN'T WORKING AND I HAVE TO DOWN-SHIFT SEVERAL TIMES TO GET UP A HILL I TRAVEL EVERY DAY. I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2013 DODGE DART SXT RALLY WITH 2.0 ENGINE. I PUT ABOUT 3500 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND BEGAN TO NOTICE A WHOOSH OF AIR NOISE WHEN DEPRESSING MY BRAKE PEDAL. OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 10 MONTHS AND ISSUES WITH ENGINE STALLING/HESITATION HAVE GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE SINCE MY FIRST ENCOUNTER AT THE DEALERSHIP AT 13,300 MILES. I FIRST REPORTED THIS ISSUE WITH ENGINE STALLING/HESITATION AND THEY STATED IT WAS A SPARK PLUG/PLUG WIRE ISSUE, (IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS RATED FOR 100,000 MILES). AFTER REPLACING THE SPARK PLUG THEY THEN DETERMINED IT NEEDED A CONTROL MODULE REPLACED AND AN ENGINE RESET FOR MY COMPUTER SYSTEM. ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, WORSE WHEN IT IS HOT OUTSIDE, THE CLUTCH PEDAL WILL BE SOFT AND NOT COME UP OFF THE FLOOR. WHEN THE CLUTCH IS SOFT, I AM NOT ABLE TO SHIFT IN OR OUT OF GEAR. IF THE ENGINE IS ON AND IN GEAR, YOU CANNOT PUMP THE CLUTCH UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS OFF, OR IF YOU MANAGE TO GET IT INTO NEUTRAL. AS I PREFER TO PARK THE VEHICLE IN GEAR, WHEN THE CLUTCH GOES SOFT, IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT, IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE, TO REMOVE THE SHIFTER FROM GEAR TO PREVENT THE CAR FROM MOVING AND HITTING AN OBJECT. NOT SURE IF IT IS A REAL CONCERN, JUST CHECKING TO SEE IF ANY ONE ELSE HAS HAD ISSUE WITH STEERING, MY SON DRIVES THIS CAR AND SAYS WHEN DRIVING, WHEN HE GOES TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IT IS LIKE IT IS LOCKED -- (EXAMPLE) WHEN WENT TO TURN LEFT IT WOULD NOT TURN, LET OFF OR TURN WHEEL TO RIGHT THEN HE COULD GO AHEAD AND IT WOULD LET HIM TURN TO LEFT, GOING TO GET IT TO DEALER TO BE CHECKED BUT I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE ELSE HAS SAID ANY THING ABOUT THE STEERING ON THIS CAR? IT IS A SWEET CAR AND THIS HAS BEEN THE FIRST ISSUE WITH IT. MY SON SAID IT DOES NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE HAS BEEN AN ISSUE REPORTED OR IF THIS IS A FIRST. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN TURNING ON THE MOTOR, THE VEHICLE INDICATED THAT THE LED LICENSE PLATE BULB FAILED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE BULB NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AGAIN. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BCM HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OF STAYING PARKED WITH TRANSMISSION IN GEAR (1ST), VEHICLE WOULD NOT DISENGAGE GEARBOX ON STARTUP. CLUTCH LOST ALL PRESSURE AND THE VEHICLE REQUIRED EXCESSIVE USE OF FORCE TO DISLODGE GEAR SHIFTER. VEHICLE WAS STARTED (CLUTCH DISENGAGED AND IN NEUTRAL) AND VEHICLE BEGAN TO DRIVE FORWARD. CLUTCH/TRANSMISSION REMAINED IN CONTACT WITH ENGINE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CONTINUE MOVING FORWARD EVEN WHILE IN NEUTRAL. TRANSMISSION/CLUTCH WOULDN'T REENGAGE WITHOUT EXCESSIVE FORCE. *TR
I STOPPED AND TURNED VEHICLE OFF. IT WOULD NOT START OR EVEN TURN OVER. TRIED WITH REMOTE AND KEY BOTH. EVENTUALLY STARTED BUT CEL WAS ILLUMINATED. THE LIGHTS ON THE GEARSHIFT WERE ALSO ILLUMINATED RED. TOOK THE DEALER AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM. WHEN I PICKED IT UP THEY DROVE IT ONTO SHOP FLOOR AND TURNED IT OFF. IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN. THEY SAID THERE WAS A LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH TCM. ADVISED THEY DID PROXY ALIGNMENT (ALIGNED ALL MODULES INLINE WITH EACH OTHER). I KNEW THIS WAS NOT GOING TO WORK AND HAD MORE ISSUES WITH VEHICLE NOT STARTING. *TR
THERE ARE METAL SPIKES ON THE INTERIOR OF THE TOP OF THE TRUNK. WHILE PUTTING BOXES IN THE TRUNK THE METAL SPIKES CAUSED A DEEP SCRATCH ON MY DAUGHTERS HAND. THERE IS NO INTERIOR COVERING ON THE TOP ON THE TRUNK. *TR
THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IN MY VEHICLE GOES ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT EACH MONTH. I HAVE BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALER & THEY TRIED TELLING ME IT WAS BECAUSE I PROBABLY HAVE MY PURSE ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. I DO NOT KEEP MY PURSE ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON NO MATTER IF THERE IS A PASSENGER OR NOT. DEALER COULD NOT FIND A FIX FOR PROBLEM. WHO KNOWS IF MY AIRBAGS WILL EVEN WORK IF I HAPPEN TO GET INTO A CRASH. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE PUMPED IN ORDER TO SHIFT PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
EIGHT MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) FAILED CAUSING DOOR LOCKS AND TRUNK RELEASE NOT THE FUNCTION THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WASSTATIONARY OR IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS OR THE HIGHWAY. AFTER THE BCM WAS REPLACED THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STOP FUNCTIONING ALONG WITH THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKERING. THIS ALSO HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WASSTATIONARY OR IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS OR THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE TRACTION CONTROL AND CRUISE CONTROL BOTH MALFUNCTION WHILE THE VEHICLE WASSTATIONARY OR IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS OR THE HIGHWAY.
