I HAVE HAD MY DART FOR ALMOST 2 1/2 YEARS AND IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FROM THE START. I HAVE HAD MY TCM REPLACED, TRANSMISSION, 2 CLUTCHES, NUMEROUS CODES AND SPEAKERS, GAS CAP, AND MULTIPLE RECALLS. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER A DOZEN TIMES AND FOR OVER 30 DAYS. I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS THE ENTIRE TIME I HAVE OWNED THE CAR AND AM CURRENTLY IN MY SECOND TIME OF DEALING WITH CHRYSLER TO BUY BACK MY VEHICLE AND THEY STILL ARE NOT DOING A THING ABOUT IT. WITH THE VEHICLE NOT SHIFTING RIGHT AND LOSING POWER AND NOW MY DEFROSTER IS GOING OUT ALSO THE RECALLS ON IT BUT THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR I REFUSE TO LET MY NEWBORN SON BE IN MY VEHICLE AND CHRYSLER DEFINITELY KNOWS ABOUT IT YET WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT EVEN THO IT IS A LEMON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT TOOK MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE BATTERY AND SENSOR TRANSMISSION RANGE WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WORSENED, RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE FAILING TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000. ...UPDATED 08/01/16 *BF...UPDATED 08/15/16 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM CONSISTED OF THE CONSOLE LIGHTING UP AND THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATING. THEN IT ESCALATED TO THE VEHICLE NOT STARTING. THE FAILURE HAPPENED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY AND SENSOR TRANSMISSION RANGE. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE WIRING HARNESS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. UPDATED 08/17/16.*JB THE CONSUMER STATED THE WIRING HARNESS WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WORSENED. I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE FREEWAY ON MY WAY HOME, WHEN MY VEHICLE REACHED RPMS OF OVER 7500 AND THEN DIED. I LOST ALL POWER, ELECTRONICS, MOTOR...EVERYTHING. MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I TRIED RESTARTING, BUT THE VEHICLE SHOWED NO SIGNS OF POWER. AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE RUNNING AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME. BUT AFTER REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE TWICE, THEY ARE NOW REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION. I STILL AM CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THAT THE TCM CAUSED THE OTHER ELECTRONICS ON THE VEHICLE TO FAIL, BUT AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THE TCM WAS NOT FAULTY, THE TRANSMISSION IS. NEEDLESS, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND BELIEVE THAT DODGE SHOULD STEP UP AND REPLACE IT. THE VEHICLE IS A YEAR OLD AND HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES. LAST WEEK, THE VEHICLE BECAME A SAFETY LIABILITY FOR DODGE AS IT FAILED WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN. *TR
WHEN WE WENT TO OPEN THE TRUNK ON OUR DODGE DART RALLYE (2013), THE TRUNK WOULD NOT OPEN. JUST A LITTLE BEFORE THAT IT WAS WORKING JUST FINE WITH NO PROBLEMS. WE HAVE TRIED TO RESET THE VEHICLE BUT THAT DOES NOT WORK, NEITHER DOES CHECKING FUSES. WE BOUGHT THE CAR WITH AROUND 6000 MILES ON IT (WARRANTY STILL UNDER AFFECT) BUT NOW AFTER WE BOUGHT IT THE WARRANTY IS GONE. WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ASAP. *TR
I HAVE A NEW DODGE DART THAT FOR THE PAST MONTH HAVE BEEN FIGHTING WITH ARRIGO DODGE SERVICE DEPT REGARDS TO MY CONCERNS WITH ISSUES. MY CALLS WENT UNANSWERED AND WAS GIVEN THE BLOW OFF. THIS PAST FRIDAY MY AC QUIT WORKING WAS WHEN I TOOK THE CAR IN THEY WERE FORCED TO ADDRESS MY CONCERNS... WHEN I ASKED FOR A RENTAL I WAS REFUSED... *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE CLUTCH BECAME STUCK AND PREVENTED THE GEARS FROM SHIFTING. THE VEHICLE OPERATED NORMALLY ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
TL- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 25 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND TRAVELED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE BRAKE AND THAT THE BRAKES SEIZED. IN ADDITION, THE ABS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS ACTIVATED IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS REPLACED ON TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,038.
THE CLUTCH PEDAL STUCK TO THE FLOOR PREVENTING ME FROM BEING ABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF GEAR OR DISENGAGE THE ENGINE FROM THE TRANSMISSION. BECAUSE I AM A MECHANIC I WAS ABLE TO AVOID A CRASH. THIS IS A COMPLEX ISSUE AND MOST CONSUMERS WILL FREAK OUT IF THEY CAN NOT PUT THERE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND THE ENGINE STALLS FROM THEM TRYING TO USE THE BRAKES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DART. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, A DEER CAME INTO THE VEHICLE'S PATH CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASH. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE PASSENGER DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.

CAR STALLS IN WARM WEATHER AND HAS TROUBLE RESTARTING. NO EXPLANATION. TOOK IT IN TWICE NOW. FIRST TIME THEY COULD NOT FIGURE IT OUT AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY WILL LOOK INTO IT. IT STALLED 4 TIMES YESTERDAY WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT IN 70 DEGREE WEATHER. IT STALLED AT LIGHT AND DURING A SLOW TURN. *TR
I WAS ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION AND WAS SHIFTING INTO FOURTH GEAR WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL STAYED DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR BACK FROM THE DEALER 10 DAYS. IT WAS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO CORRECT THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS CAR HAS DONE THIS. THE CASE NUMBERS FOR THE FIRST TWO ARE 10542516 AND 10607620. LIKE THE SECOND EPISODE, I WAS LEFT IN A VULNERABLE SITUATION IN WHICH I WAS ALMOST HIT. THE LANES TAPER FROM TWO DOWN TO ONE AND I WAS IN THE INSIDE LANE COMING OUT OF THE TAPER. A TRUCK COMING UP FROM BEHIND WAS UNAWARE TO THE SLOW SPEED OF MY CAR AND I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE. HE WAS ABLE TO SWERVE ACROSS THE NO PASSING LINES INTO ANOTHER LANE AND AVOID HITTING THE BACK OF MY CAR. I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO NEXT CROSS ROAD AND JUST MAKE IT OFF THE STATE HIGHWAY. MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. *JS
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND THE BRAKES STOPPED WORKING. SHE WAS ABLE TO STOP BY PUTTING TWO FEET ON THE BRAKES AND SLOWING DOWN. LUCKILY WE WERE ALREADY SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP-LIGHT SO WE WERE GOING SLOW. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS INCREDIBLY HARD AND WE WERE UNABLE TO PUSH IT DOWN PROPERLY OIT?S POSSIBLE WE WOULD?VE HIT A PICKUP TRUCK. IF WE DID WE COULD?VE BEEN DECAPITATED. OR WE MIGHT?VE HIT ENOUGH TO SET OFF THE AIRBAGS KILLING OUR UNBORN CHILD. WE COULD?VE BEEN INJURED OR INJURED SOMEONE ELSE. LUCKILY THIS DID NOT HAPPEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY. ?MY WIFE CAUTIOUSLY PULLED US INTO A GAS STATION, SUNOCO, AND I TOLD HER TO SPEED UP A LITTLE BIT AND TO STEP ON THE BRAKES. AT THAT POINT IT FELT AS IF THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING AND A LIGHT FLASHED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SAYING ?SERVICE BRAKES ELECTRICAL?? OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. ?WE CALLED THE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE NUMBER. UPSETTINGLY ENOUGH WE DISCOVERED WE COULD ONLY BE TOWED ABOUT 10 MILES TO GET HOME OR ABOUT 15 MILES TO A DODGE DEALERSHIP OTHERWISE THE COST WOULD COME OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. DISTURBINGLY THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE SUGGESTED THAT I DRIVE FIVE MILES CLOSER TO HOME AFTER KNOWING WE NEEDED TO BE TOWED BECAUSE MY BRAKES DIDN?T WORK. I UNDERSTAND SHE WAS NOT A MECHANIC BUT THERE IS NO REASON SHE SHOULD?VE SUGGESTED I RISK THE FOUR OF OUR LIVES TO DRIVE FIVE MILES SO I COULD GET A FREE TOW. ?WHAT IF WE WERE OUT OF STATE? WOULD I NEED TO PAY AN ASTRONOMICAL COST TO GET TOWED BACK HOME? WHAT WILL DODGE DO ABOUT THIS? ?ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE IS NOT ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE, IT?S TOWING ASSISTANCE. WE ONLY GOT HELP GETTING A TOW. WE WERE COMPLETELY ON OUR OWN TO FIND TRANSPORTATION. ?WHAT WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF WE WERE ON THE EXPRESSWAY? I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT IN SEPT. 2013 THE INCIDENT NUMBER WAS 10542516. I MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THE CLUTCH PEDAL WOULD NOT RETURN ONCE DEPRESSED. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT IT WAS THE SLAVE CYLINDER. THAT WAS REPLACED, TAKING OVER A WEEK. THE REMEDIED THE PROBLEM UNTIL THE END OF JUNE 2014 WHEN THE CAR BEGAN DISPLAYING THE SAME PROBLEM. I WAS GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE AND WENT TO SHIFT FROM 2ND TO 3RD AND THE CLUTCH PEDAL REMAINED DEPRESSED ONCE AGAIN. NOT HAVING POWER AT THIS KEY POINT OF ACCELERATION WAS DANGEROUS AND I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI. I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALERSHIP ONCE AGAIN AND IT WAS DETERMINED THE SLAVE CYLINDER WAS THE PROBLEM ONCE AGAIN. I THINK THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE EXAMINED AS IT CREATES A SERIOUS POTENTIAL FOR INJURY. *TR
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WAS SLOWING DOWN FROM ABOUT 70 MPH AND THE TIRE SOUNDED LIKE IT BLEW... BUT AFTER REPLACING THE TIE COULD NOT SEE ANY DAMAGE TO THE TIRE.... *TR
HAVE HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES SINCE HAVE THE CAR 2/13. ON 6/21 300 MILES FROM HOME CARS TRANSMISSION JUST STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING. FELT LIKE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. COST ME 1000.00 TO TOWN/RENT A CAR ETC.THEY SAID TRANSMISSION MODULE FAILED. CAR JUST STOPPED VERY DANGEROUS. CHRYSLER SAID MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK UP CAR 220 MILES AWAY AND DRIVE HOME. I ASK THEM TO HAVE SOMEONE DRIVE TO MY LOCAL DEALER THEY SAID NO. DROVE 4 HOURS THIS MORNING PICKED UP CAR DROVE ABOUT 10 MILES SAME THING HAPPENED TODAY. NO SERVICE TECH TO LOOK AT. HAD TO RENT ANOTHER CAR AND DROVE HOME. DROVE 10 HOURS 500 MILES TODAY FOR NO REASON. SOMEONE'S GOING TO GET KILLED AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE ME OR MY FAMILY. I GOOGLED THIS ISSUE AND THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
I HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS CAR. FOR STARTERS WHEN DRIVING IT WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN STOP GOING FOR NO REASON. THE CAR DIDN'T DIE IT SIMPLY DOESN'T GO. THE RPM'S STOPPED WORKING ON ONE OCCASION AND THE HEAD LIGHT BLEW OUT ALL IN THE SAME NIGHT. DEALER SAID THERE WAS NO CONNECTION, SO I HAD TO REPLACE THE HEAD LIGHT FOR $100. THEY ADVISED THE GROUND WIRE WAS LOSE SO THEY TIGHTENED IT. I HAD MY TIRE BLOW OUT FOR NO REASON JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT BLEW. NOW ON OCCASIONS MY AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS AREN'T WORKING. AND STILL WONT GO WHEN GIVING IT GAS. IT SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS SOME KIND OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE. I LOVE MY CAR WOULD WANT A NEW ONE. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AT THE TIME UNTIL IT IS FIXED. THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND MY WARRANTY IS ALMOST UP WITH PROBLEMS REPEATING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. I STARTED HAVING HEADACHES SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE (2013 DODGE DART). THE HEADACHES CONTINUED TO WORSEN, SO I FINALLY WENT TO THE DOCTOR, HAD CT SCAN AND WAS FINALLY DIAGNOSED WITH HAVING MIGRAINES. I WASN'T AWARE THAT IT WAS THE CAR UNTIL IT WAS IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR FOR RECIRCULATING AIR ISSUES AND I DIDN'T DRIVE IT FOR A WEEK (DECEMBER 2014). ONCE WE RECEIVED THE CAR BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP (NOT FIXED) I WAS REALLY SICK (HORRIBLE MIGRAINE) THE NEXT DAY DUE TO THE FUMES. I HAVEN'T RODE IN THE CAR SINCE DECEMBER 19, 2014. I HAVEN'T HAD A MIGRAINE SINCE AROUND DECEMBER 20-21, 2014. THE CAR WAS DROPPED OFF ON JANUARY 2, 2015 BY MY HUSBAND BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TO HAVE THE RECIRCULATE AIR FIXED. THE VEHICLE WAS READY ON JANUARY 8, 2015 BUT WAS NOT PICKED UP UNTIL JANUARY 9, 2015. ON JANUARY 9, 2015, MY HUSBAND PICKED THE CAR UP AND DROVE IT AROUND FOR LITTLE WHILE. HE THEN WENT TO PICK OUR DAUGHTER UP FROM SCHOOL AND SHE BEGIN COUGHING IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THE RECIRCULATE AIR WENT OUT AGAIN. I HAVE CONTACTED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THIS VEHICLE AND TO NO AVAIL. I CONTACTED THEM TODAY (JANUARY 9, 2015) AND THEY WANTED US TO DRIVE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. I GUESS THEY WANT THE FUMES TO CAUSE SOMEONE TO PASS OUT ALONG THE WAY. DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HAVING A CASE MANAGER REVIEW MY COMPLAINT, HOWEVER, I AM STUCK WITH A VEHICLE THAT I CANNOT DRIVE. I CONTACTED THE LIENHOLDER TO SURRENDER THE VEHICLE ON MARCH 5, 2015. *TR
VEHICLE THREW AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE LED DASHBOARD ABOUT SERVICING THE TRANSMISSION. UNABLE TO PLACE CAR IN REVERSE OR DRIVE. AFTER MESSING WITH IT FOR A WHILE (SHUTTING VEHICLE OFF AND TURNING BACK ON, PAUSING FOR A FEW MINUTES) THE VEHICLE WOULD FINALLY WORK AGAIN. THIS SEEMED TO HAPPEN DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR AND TOWARDS WINTER WITH THE RECALL EVENTUALLY TAKING PLACE. (2014). I ARGUED WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO PROVIDE SOMETHING FOR TRANSPORTATION SINCE I HAD NO OTHER OPTIONS. AFTER ARGUING AND FINALLY GETTING A RENTAL THEY OFFERED TO PAY 3 DAYS. IT TOOK THEM MULTIPLE DAYS TO LOOK INTO THE ISSUE AND THEY FOUND LOW TRANSMISSION FLUID. THERE WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO TAKE CARE OF THE RECALL AS WELL. THIS YEAR ALMOST 6 MONTHS SINCE THE LAST INCIDENT THE SAME ISSUES ARE OCCURRING. ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO I CAME ACROSS THE SAME ISSUES. IT TOOK A WEEK TO GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE LOCAL DEALER AND I HAD TO BORROW A VEHICLE SINCE THE CAR HAS TROUBLE ACCELERATING WITH THESE ISSUES. THEY PERFORMED A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND IT SEEMED TO WORK FOR A WEEK. TODAY THE ENGINE WOULDN'T START BUT THE CARS COMPUTERS TURNED ON. AFTER TESTING DIFFERENT STEPS THE CAR FINALLY TURNED ON BUT THE ACCELERATION IS CLUNKY AND DOESN'T SHIFT APPROPRIATELY.
THE TURBO CHARGER ON MY 2013 DODGE DART WAS DISCOVERED AS NEEDING TO BE REPLACED AND THE INSTRUMENT GAUGE CONTAINING THE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER AND OTHERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AFTER THEY INTERMITTENTLY WOULD STOP WORKING. THE TURBO IN THE CAR WAS FIXED BUT THE DEALER (WALSER HOPKINS DODGE) FAILED TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE REGARDING THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER UNTIL 12,000 MILES LATER.

ALSO THIS CAR HAS AN AIRBAG LIGHT ON FOR THE PASSENGER SEAT , THE CAR OVER HEATS AND THE BACKUP CAM NO LONGER WORKS THE BATTERY IS NOW DEAD AND WERE UNABLE TO DRIVE, WERE OUT OF WARRANTY BY A LITTLE OVER 500 MILES AND THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE UNLESS I PAY MORE MONEY TO FIX THIS PAPER WEIGHT. I CAN DRIVE IT AFTER GETTING A JUMP BUT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAIL TO WORK THE SPEEDOMETER FADES IN AND OUT AND THE GAUGE DROPS TO 0MPH. STARTS WITH A LIGHT SOUND MUCH LIKE A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM RELEASING PRESSURE, THEN PROGRESSES INTO SOUNDING LIKE AN AIR BRAKE SYSTEM ON A TRUCK AT WHICH POINT THE BRAKES FAIL AND WILL NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD IS CONTINUOUSLY ON. HAS BEEN THAT WAY SINCE I PURCHASED THE USED CAR IN MAY OF 2014. RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE AND TOOK TO DEALERSHIP, FIXED AND A FEW MONTHS LATER THE LIGHT WAS BACK ON. IN MAY OF 2018 TOOK VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO FIX THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT SENSOR THAT KEPT STATING NO PASSENGER SEAT BELT EVEN IF THE PERSON IN THE PASSENGER SEAT HAD ALREADY BUCKLED IN, AS WELL AS THE SHIFT CABLE BUSHING BECAUSE IT BECAME DETACHED AND COULD NOT SHIFT ANYMORE AND ALSO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT. DEALERSHIP FIXED ALL AND A FEW MONTHS LATER THE SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND HAS BEEN THAT WAY EVER SINCE.

THEY TEST DROVE THE CAR OVER SOME HILLS NEAR THE DEALERSHIP AND WERE ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE SAME SMELL, BUT SAID IT IS LIKELY CAUSED BY THE NEW CLUTCH AND SHOULD BE DRIVEN 1500-2000 MILES BEFORE BEING CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED CLUTCH BURNING LIKE THIS, ESPECIALLY AFTER SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ON THE HILL, AND I'VE DRIVEN MANY MANUAL CARS/TRUCKS OVER MANY YEARS. *TR
FIRST INCIDENT IN MAR 2014, <10 MPH, 40F, 10% NEG ROAD GRADE ,ENGINE RUN TIME WAS LESS THAN4 MINUTES.ON TRYING TO STOP PEDDLE WAS HARD BUT FELT LIKE INEFFECTIVE POWER BRAKES. I ESTIMATE THAT BRAKING EFFECTIVENESS WAS LESS THAN 10%. I DID NOT HEAR ANY UNUSUAL NOSE DURING THE INCIDENT. RECOVERY TO NORMAL WAS WITHIN ONE MINUTE. THE SECOND,AND LAST, INCIDENT WAS IN EITHER OCT. OR NOV OF 2014. CONDITIONS: <10MPH, 35F, 5% POSITIVE ROAD GRADE, ENGINE RUN TIME MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. I DID NOT SMELL ANYTHING UNUSUAL. WENT TO BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD NOT DEPRESS TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES. HAD TO SHIFT TO NEUTRAL AND USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR. HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. *TR
WHILE ACCELERATING THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO RANDOMLY SPUTTER/HESITATE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH FAULT CODE (P0352) AND CONTINUED TO SPUTTER/HESITATE DURING ACCELERATION PROCESS. AFTER DIAGNOSIS IT APPEARS THE ENGINE'S IGNITION CONTROL SYSTEM IS FAILING AND HAS BEEN FOR SOME TIME. ACCORDING TO DEALERSHIP, THIS IS NOT COVERED OUTSIDE BASIC WARRANTY OR ANY KNOWN RECALL. *TR
