This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

My car is having identical symptoms to a recall for it, but dodge is saying my vehicle is "Not affected", despite having identical symptoms from an identical cause. The check valve on my fuel tank has failed, and it overflows when I fill it with gas
The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while refueling the vehicle, the contact became aware that gasoline was spilling out of the fuel filler neck. The carseat will not lock into the base proper in any recline position except 1. 1 is supposed to be for a newborn. When you place the seat (till you hear it "lock" into place per the manual and a CPST) in 2, 3, or 4 then the seat drops down into the 1 position while driving down the road. We've contacted evenflo repeatedly and no help from them. Now it's to the point it doesn't even lock into 1. We've had this seat since Jan 17, 2023. I have checked online and am able to find 30+ reviews of parents with the same issue across reddit, Amazon, and Walmart. A recall on the seat needs issued immediately. This has been going on since Jan 21st, 2023.

This vehicle will slip in and out 4 wheel drive on its own. This can occur when driving and I’m concerned it will create a dangerous situation, especially if driving at high speeds. When this issue is occurring, making tight turns (parking, neighborhood driving) becomes very dangerous as the wheels become locked and you have to press the accelerator down creating a lot of power and the vehicle becomes dangerously uncontrollable. This is very common while parking, when often pedestrians are present and the vehicle becomes unpredictable due to this issue. This will also occur at a 2 way stop when turning right in front of on-coming traffic. The vehicle will again be unpredictable and can’t turn smoothly impairing traffic coming from behind.
Was on a delivery order with Doordash suddenly the truck started bucking back and forth it had felt as if someone was slaming into the back of truck anyway I was on the highway in traffic when this had started leaving me 1st and 2nd gear than final with no gears cause the transmission was burning hot to the touch causing burns on my hand when I tried to check out I was told my truck went into some kind of limp mode cause of transmission control module and shifted solenoid A on the transmission someone needs to hold Dodge responsible for its failures
The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that fuel spilled out of the filler neck at the end of refueling. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 05V034000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). However, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 09V003000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) but the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
I have own my Durango for about 4 years and I recently had the air bag recall repaired that it had. My vehicle also had a previous recall for the fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve. It causes gas to splash out at a large amount which splashes out at you, all over the truck and the ground. It does this every time I fill my tank. I looked it up online and mine was never replaced but “checked” before I owned it. I don’t know why it was replaced because my vehicles is obviously affected by this recall and the dealer will not fix it because it was previously checked. I’m scared of the danger this issues has. I’m a single dad and this is my only vehicle. It happens regularly every time I refuel.
My 2005 Durango all of a sudden has decided to stall while driving . I've bought this vehicle almost 2 years ago, and this is by far the scariest experience I've had in it. The first time it happened was as I was slowing down to stop at a red light on January 17th. Since then it has been stalling one at least 3 to 5 times a week . Something isn't right. I did receive a code from my Milewise ins OBD reader today, that said P1794 URGENCY UNKNOWN - contact your mechanic . That's one of 3 I got . The other two are p 0700 Transmission control system ( MIL request ) Urgent - have checked ASAP AND - P0430 CATALYST system efficiency below threshold. Urgent - have checked ASAP This tells me something is seriously wrong and it's going to cost me a fortune. Which for me is impossible to even try to contemplate. I am disabled and my income is not enough. I can not afford to fix this, nor can I afford to buy something else. This is a real problem that I can't afford and it should have been fixed before when it was brought to your attention back in 2005.

The mechanic retrieved DTC code: P0700 (Transfer Case motor and possibly snap ring) failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.

I almost died, I escaped my car moments before it completely exploded into flames. I was driving down the interstate and it said it was overheating for a couple seconds and then the car went completely dead going 70 miles per hour. My steering wheel locked up so I fought to pull it off the road and stop it, I had a bad feeling so I checked the front of the car but it was inflamed once I got out and my seat was consumed in fire

My passenger side airbag will not activate. It shows a passenger side airbag off
I have had my durango for about 2 years, one day I went to start it and it clicked as if battery had died. When I jumped it, it started right up. I noticed that my dash had a tire sensor light and a light saying Overhead lamp on. I turned my overhead switch and all my lights in the car turned on and then off when i turned switch.( normal) so I knew something was up. After doing some research I read about the recall. I Made an appointment on the 15th of June to get a recall for my instrument panel fixed. I dropped my car off at 7 am my appointment was at 8am. I called around 11:30 to get an ETA since I was on a time limit for work and live an hour away. The dealership called to tell me that he needed to take out cluster and test it and if it was cluster he would have to order it and it could be a few days. If it was fine it was a circuit Issue and he would need to fix it. Thank god my mother was in the same area visiting and was able to give me a ride home. He then called that evening and asked if I owned another Key/FOB. I told them I didn't and my fob has never worked since i purchased the vehicle. He stated that he got the recall all finished and fixed but now all the lights on my dash were flashing, my headlights the horn, flashers and something" went wonky" there. He then tried to tell me they needed to order a new fob to program it to my car and it was going to cost me almost $400. I told them I was not going to pay that amount and that it seems like they messed something up when they put it together. I picked up my car Friday the 17th and my tire pressure light was still on. After getting home and checking tires they were all fine. The next day I went to start my car and the Headlight lamp light came back onto my dash. I already had to take 2 days off work and now have to miss more to have this recall done right. I looked up my vin today the 20th and it says my recall is incomplete! To top it off they never gave me any paperwork or have me sign anything.
When filling up my gas tank occasionally fuel will spit out of my gas tank and all over my car and ground
