I HAVE NOT HAD A ACCIDENT THANK GOD. I BROUGHT MY 2005 DODGE DURANGO FEBRUARY2, 2015. MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT WITH IN THE PAST 2 MONTH I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MY TANK DROPPED 3 TIMES NOW I HAVE TO HAVE IT DROPPED AGAIN SO THIS WILL BE THE FORTH TIME &MY TRUCK WIL NOT START &THE PUMP IS NOT COMING ON. I GOT A LETTER ABOUT THE AIRBAGS RECALLS, MY QUESTION IS HAVE IT EVER BEEN A RECALL ON THE COMPUTER OR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR THIS SUV? I THINK MY WHOLE FUEL SYSTEM IS MESSED UP CAUSE WHEN I GO TO FILL IT UP GAS COME SHOTTING BACK OUT THE TANK AT ME & I SEE IT WAS A RECALL ON THAT & I HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY LETTER TO GO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP
VEHICLE THROTTLE STUCK IN DRIVE AS DRIVER WAS PULLING FORWARD TO BACK UP INTO GARAGE. VEHICLE PLUNGED FORWARD 20 FEET, HIT AN OVERHEAD DOOR AND BUMPER GUARD CAUSING THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. AIRBAG LACERATED, ABRAISED AND BRUISED LEFT FOREARM OF DRIVER,[XXX], REQUIRING EMERGENCY ROOM TREATMENT AT MERCY MEDICAL 301 ST. PAUL STREET, BALTIMORE, MD 21202. VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND CLAIM FILED WITH GEICO CLAIM # [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
THE TRANSFER CASE SHIFTS BY ITS SELF.THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO LOCK ALL ON IT'S OWN, THEN THE SVC 4WD LIGHT COMES ON. SOMETIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF YOU CAN HEAR THE TRANSFER SHIFT BACK AND FORTH FROM AWD TO 4 LOCK NOW ITS STUCK IN 4LO THIS HAPPENS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.

I WENT TO FILL MY TANK UP ON SATURDAY MARCH 7TH 2015. I JUST PURCHASE THE VEHICLE THAT DAY. GAS STARTED SPURTING OUT OF THE TANK AND GOT ALL OVER MY HANDS. I THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE OUT FOR A DRIVE ON SUNDAY MORNING WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND THE VEHICLE STALLED AND I ALMOST ROLLED BACK ON THE CAR BEHIND MEN. THIS HAPPENS TWO MORE TIMES THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THEN TODAY TUESDAY MARCH 10TH I DROVE TO MY PARENTS AND NOTICED THE CAR SPUTTERING UPON GRADUAL ACCELERATION. *TR
LARGE EVAP LEAK - CODE P0455: INLET & OUTLET FUEL TANK RINGS HAVE RUSTED OUT. PREVIOUS RECALL E01 REPAIRED IN 2010 COMPLETE. AFTER EFFECTS FROM PREVIOUS FUEL LEAKAGE HAS CAUSED RUST DAMAGE TO THE FUEL TANK CONNECTOR RINGS. THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE IS A HUGE CONCERN AS THIS CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE AT ANY TIME. SOLUTION RECOMMENDED: REPLACE FUEL TANK & FUEL PUMP.
AFTER FILLING UP VEHICLE, A QUANTITY OF GASOLINE FLUSHED OUT OF THE FUEL FILLER NECK CAUSING A DISTINCT FIRE HAZARD. THIS HAS OCCURRED FOR EACH FILL UP. *TR

HI, I COULD NOT ACCESS THE ODOMETER FRAUD SECTION SO HERE IS MY QUESTION. HOW IS IT THAT THE DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLE IN TALLAHASSEE THAT ISSUES TITLE DO NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT ODOMETER ROLLBACK, I THOUGHT THAT WAS ILLEGAL. I PURCHASED AN SUV AND MUCH LATER I DISCOVERED THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN THE ODOMETER FROM CARFAX HISTORY. FUEL FILL BURPS WHEN TANK IS ALMOST FILLED WITH FUEL CAUSING IT TO RUN DOWN THE SIDES OF THE VEHICLE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF IT CAUSING A FIRE. HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTICE ON THIS RECALL YET. *TR

DRIVING ON I-43 TO WORK, THE 4 WHEEL LO LIGHT FLASHED AND WENT OUT. A FEW MINUTES LATER IT FLASHED AGAIN, EXCEPT THIS TIME IT LOCKED IN 4 WHEEL LO AT 70 MPH DURING MORNING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO RAPIDLY SLOW DOWN FROM 70 MPH TO 25 MPH. I HAD CHECK THE VEHICLE CODES WITH NO ERRORS. ON THE WAY HOME, I HAD TO STOP SEVERAL TIMES TO CYCLE THE TRANSFER CASE, IN ORDER TO DISENGAGE THE 4 WHEEL LO. READING MANY BLOGS ON THE INTERNET, THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH 2004 THROUGH 2007 DODGE 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES. MECHANIC STATES THAT WITHOUT A CODE, THEY WILL JUST START REPLACING PARTS UNTIL THE CORRECT ONE IS FOUND. THIS COULD TAKE $2000.00 TO $3000.00. *TR
THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS!!!!! IT HAPPENS AT ANY SPEED, THE TRUCK WILL LOSE ALL POWER AND SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. I CAN'T STEER OR DO ANYTHING BUT PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND RESTART THE TRUCK. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN THE BE LOOKED AT AND NOTHING CAN BE FIGURED OUT AS IT DOES IT RANDOMLY. MY AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ILLUMINATING AND WHEN I DID A RECALL SEARCH AN AIRBAG RECALL DID COME UP BUT THERE IS NO FIX? ALSO WHEN I FILL THE GAS TANK I GET MAJOR SPLASH BACK. HUGE FIRE ISSUE. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON SOME 2005 DODGE DURANGOS FOR THAT PROBLEM BUT THE DEALER SAID MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED AND WOULDN'T FIX IT. HOW CAN I GET MY VIN INCLUDED? TRANSFER CASE MAKE NOISE WHEN PARK ENGAGES FROM UNDERNEATH HAS TROUBLE MOVING SEEMS STUCK IN 44 CAN'T NOT DRIVE MY TRUCK DUE TO THIS DON'T WANT TO PUT MY KIDS IN DANGER ALWAYS ENGAGING INTO 44 AND MAKES IT HARD FOR ME TO TURN

I AM NOT HAPPY THAT MY VIN NUMBER PULLS UP ONLY ONE RECALL WHEN A FEW OF THE ISSUES THAT I AM HAVING ARE ON THE RECALL LIST. FOR STARTERS THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE IS FLAKING PAINT AND NOT TO MENTION EVERYTIME I FUEL IT, GAS SPURTS ALL OVER THE VEHICLE AND GROUND. WHILE FILLING THE FUEL TANK, WHEN THE PUMP KICKS OFF FUEL SPITS BACK OUT OF THE FUEL TANK ON THE GROUND, THE VEHICLE, AND ME (IF I AM STANDING CLOSE). I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND CONVERSATIONS ON THE INTERNET REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO BENCHMARK-CHRYSLER-DODGE-JEEP-RAM, 1313 GRANTS MILL WAY, BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA 35210, (205) 957-1313 FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY ADVISED ME UP FRONT THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED $105 TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE, BUT THAT I WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF THE PROBLEM WAS COVERED UNDER ANY RECALLS OR WARRANTIES. AFTER THE DIAGNOSIS THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO START BY REPLACING THE FILLER NECK AND IF THAT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM THEY WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK. THEY SAID THIS WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE LIFETIME WARRANTY NOR THE RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. AFTER LEAVING BENCHMARK I HAD TO FILL UP THE VEHICLE AND I VIDEOED THE FUEL SPIT-BACK WHEN THE PUMP SHUT OFF. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND IT IS DOCUMENTED THAT THEY HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS YEAR AND MODEL VEHICLE HAS A PROBLEM, BUT THEY DO NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR CORRECTING THE PROBLEM.

MY 2005 DODGE DURANGO KEEPS LOCKING UP WHEN I'M TURNING. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ON OR OFF IT WILL START FLASHING 4LO. THE VEHICLE SHIFTS INTO LOCK ALL ON IT'S OWN, THEN THE SVC 4WD LIGHT COMES ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF AND THE TRANSFER CASE WILL SHIFT BACK TO AWD. SOMETIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF YOU CAN HEAR THE TRANSFER SHIFT BACK AND FORTH FROM AWD TO 4 LOCK. *TR
WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THE SERVICE 4WD LIGHT STARTED FLASHING, AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTED INTO 4LO BY ITSELF. ALL EFFORTS TO SHIFT BACK OUT OF 4LO FAILED. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED. SERVICE SHOP DIAGNOSED TRANSFER CASE AS THE PROBLEM, AND REPLACED IT. THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. VEHICLE CONTINUES TO SHIFT INTO 4LO BY ITSELF WHICH IMPACTS THE ABILITY TO TURN THE VEHICLE. *TR
VEHICLE WOULD HIGH IDLE THEN WHEN PUT IN GEAR IT WOULD NOT TAKE GAS AND WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN EVEN AFTER PUTTING IT IN PARK AND TURNING THE KEY OFF AND TAKING IT OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED.
