My alternator was overcharging my battery, replaced both. still having an overcharging "sweating battery" issue. The vehicle has suddenly died at low speed, but was able to start. The check engine light comes on and goes off, sometimes it is off for weeks, other times for a day, the code it sets is always different, even for components that have been replaced. tells me I have a large leak , a small leak in the evap, egr is shorted to ground, ait is out of spec, etc. Now my transmission has shifted from fifth to third back to fifth to fourth, all while at low speed in cruise control. The speedometer, while in cruise control, will jump to 3000rpm, down to 1500, and between all at the same speed.
When I first purchased in November of 2022 3 days after A) I've never had Air Conditioning B) The heat worked when it wanted to. C) 3 days after purchased (road trip) my whole front end was on the floor. I found that the entire front end of the power train was faulty. It had broken off. Costed me $900 to repair. D) The alarm and start up sensor is wired to the radio. E) Won't start without the radio. F) I have to charge my battery to go everywhere G) It shakes over 60 mph
Driving on highway about 70 mph SUV began hesitating became worse abs light traction control light and brake lights came on. It stopped. Now vont almost every time highway driving. And also problem when refueling SUV gas spurts out. And has increased gas consumption. My dealer said there was a great Carfax only item on diagnostic was ' gascap' for replacement.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Durango. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V313000 (Air Bags) and 16V352000 (Air Bags) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact then received a second recall notice which stated that parts were now available. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the parts were still not available even though a letter was received which stated otherwise. The contact recently called back the same dealer and was informed that the dealer was only receiving a limited supply of parts and could not service the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
VEHICLE STATIONARY AND IN MOTION SHOW 6 WARNING LIGTHS AND DO NOT GO AWAY . PLUS ALSO WHEN YOU START SLOWING DOWN ,I HEAR A BUMP NOISE IN THE GEARS, BEFORE STOPING THE CAR.( THIS IS NOT AT ALL TIMES)
2007 DURANGO RANDOMLY STALLS WHILE DRIVING DOWN TBE HIGHWAY. IT HAS STALLED AS MANY AS 3 TIMES IN 12 MILE TRIP FROM HOME. IT STALLS WHILE IDLING AT A STOP LIGHT. IT WILL STALL WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT HARD AT TIMES. YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL STALL. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT. IT STALLED ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN I WAS DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AT 60MPH. I KNOW OTHER MODELS HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND IT SEEMS TO BE A FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTION ON SOME DODGE FORUMS. THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM. I HAVE REPLACED THE CAMSHAFT AND CRANK SENSOR, IGNITION COILS, PCU AND ASD RELAYS. SOMETHING US DANGEROUSLY WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND MY LIFETIME WARRANTY WAS VOIDED BECAUSE THEY SAID I TOOK IT IN TOO EARLY TO HAVE IT CHECKED. NO ONE CALLED OR LET ME KNOW I NEEDED TO HAVE IT INSPECTED BUT THEY CAN CALL ME EVERY SINGLE DAY TO TELL ME THERE IS AN AIRBAG RECALL. IT ISN'T MPORTANT WHEN YOU CAN'T DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS TOO DANGEROUS.
ABS, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, SLIPPERY WHEN WET AND GAS CAP WARNINGS ALL ON... SPENT 3 WEEKS IN SHOP AND WAS TOLD DODGE DOESN'T MAKE THE PART TO FIX.
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was able to restart. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the failure was undetermined. The contact contacted the dealer where they informed the contact to bring the vehicle in for a diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure continued. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 107,000.
MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED HAS BEEN HAVING AN ISSUE WHERE THE 4X4 KEEPS TURNING ITSELF ON WITHOUT ME ACTUALLY ENGAGING IT. IVE BEEN HAVING A VERY HUGE WITH SOLVING THE ISSUE BUT I WAS ABLE TO READ A FORUM WHICH STATED THAT I SHOULD FILL OUT THIS FORM. THIS ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED, IN MOTION, OR WHEN I HIT THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEY PAD.
VEHICLE IS SWITCHING INTO 4WD LOW WHILE IN MOTION. I HAVE ALSO HEARD THE ACTUATOR ACTIVATING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS NOT RUNNING AND WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BASED ON RESEARCH THAT APPEARS TO BE HAPPENING IN MULTIPLE VEHICLES FOR DODGE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE SYSTEM COULD CHANGE INTO 4WD OR 4WD LOCK AT A HIGHWAY SPEEDS CAUSING DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS.

WHEN FILLING THE FUEL TANK UP THE GAS WILL SPURT BACK OUT , YOU CAN FILL IT SLOW OR FAST IT WILL DO THE SAME, IT'S NOT A SMALL AMOUNT, IT'S A LARGE AMOUNT.
WHILE DRIVING THE DURANGO STALLS AND LOSES ALL POWERE. NORMALLY HAPPENS WHEN SHOWING DOWN. THE DURANGO DOES NOT START UP RIGHT AWAY AND HEADLIGHTS AND HAZARD LIGHTS STOP WORKING. THE OTHER DAY IT STALLED AT 5AM IN THE MORNING WHILE CROSS A BUSY TRAFFIC LIGHT. IT WAS DARK AND THE HAZARDS AND HEADLIGHTS DID NOT WORK. I WAS SCARED SOMEONE WOULD HIT ME. IT STARTED UP ABOUT 6 MINUTES LATER WHICH FELT LIKE A LIFETIME. THIS DURANGO HAS ALWAYS HAD A HISTORY OF STALING AND STARTING BACK UP BUT THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I REALIZED HOW MUCH OF A SAFETY ISSUE THIS WAS DUE TO HAVING NO LIGHTS OR HAZARDS AND BEING STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAFFIC LIGHT.
WHEN SLOWING DOWN VEHICLE STALLS, IN TRAFFIC, INTERSECTIONS, AND FREEWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS. WATER LEAKING IN FROM DISCONTINUED COWL PANEL DETERIORATION ALLOWING WATER TO FREELY FALL ALL OVER PLUGS AND COIL PACKS.
RECALL INCOMPLETE. 1 RECALL ISSUED ON MARCH 24, 2019 HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. NOTICE AND ACKNOWLEDGED ON FEBRUARY 10, 2019. RECALL # S43.
FUEL IS SPRAYED ON THE VEHICLE, FLOOR, PERSON'S UPPER AND LOWER BODY WHILE REFUELING. THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF, IN PARK, AT THE GAS STATION. THE FUEL SPRAY OCCURS EVERY TIME THE FUEL TANK IS FILLED NEAR FULL. FOLLOWED WITH A STRONG FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE CABIN THAT LASTS FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. THE PROBLEM STARTED AROUND 2010
I WAS LEAVING THE GAS STATION & THE VEHICLE STARTED JUMPING UP & DOWN LIKE A BUCKING HORSE. THERE WAS TEMPORARY POWER LOSS AS WELL AS LOSS OF STEERING. THE VEHICLE DISPLAYED A BAS/ESP ERROR & AS WELL AS A TRACTION CONTROL ERROR.
I JUST PURCHASED A 2007 DODGE DURANGO AND NOTICED THAT EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE TRUCK AT A GAS STATION, INSTEAD OF THE GAS PUMP AUTOMATICALLY SHUTTING OFF ONCE THE GAS TANK WAS FULL, GAS WOULD SPIT/BACK OUT OF THE NOZZLE AREA AND RUN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK. I AT FIRST THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE GAS STATION, BUT IT HAS OCCURRED THREE MORE TIMES AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND APPARENTLY, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH OTHER DODGE OWNERS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT BECAUSE I PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ON DODGE BEHALF. I'M AFRAID THAT BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT TO COME UP WITH THE DEDUCTIBLE, A MORE SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR IN THE MEANTIME. THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CONSISTENTLY GOING BAD , DUE TO FAULTY WIRING HARNESS OR OTHER ISSUES. THIS WILL CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RANDOMLY SHUT OFF WHILE EITHER SITTING OR DRIVING , AND THE ITS UNKNOWN AS TO WHY IT IS HAPPENING. SUGGESTED REPAIR IS TO JUST REPLACE , BUT I REPLACE 1 A YEAR . I HAVE REPLACED 6 IN THE LAST 5 YEARS OF OWNING THIS VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP IS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM TO WHY THE CPS KEEPS FAILING .
WHILE VEHICLE IS ON THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP WITH EVERY LIGHT. IT ALSO SAYS NO FUSE WHEN THE ODOMETER IS. ALL THE GAUGES STOP WORKING AND THE AIR CONTROLS DONT WORK WHICH MEAN NO HOT OR COLD AIR AT ALL. THIS HAPPEN WHEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION
OUR DURANGO RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING OR WHEN WE ARE IDLE. IT HAPPENS A LOT WHEN MAKING TURNS AND I LOOSE STEERING AS WELL. ABS INDICATOR ON AS WELL AS CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT USUALLY SHOWS O2 SENSORS OR CRANK SHAFT SENSORS. HAD BOTH REPLACED MANY TIMES AND THE ISSUE STILL OCCURS. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION, AS IT IS OUR FAMILY CAR.
VEHICLES 4X4 LOCK TURNED ON BY ITSELF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND NOW IT IS HARD TO START THE VEHICLE AS I HAVE TO PRESS THE GAS TO START THE VEHICLE AND MAKES THE RPMS JUMP RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING AND IN IDLE, AND I BOUGHT IT FROM A DEALER 3 DAYS AGO.
I JUST BOUGHT A USED 2007 DURANGO AND UPON FILLING THE GAS TANK UP, THE GAS SPEWED OUT. THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE THAT PARTICULAR PUMP, BUT IT ALWAYS DOES THIS WHEN FILLING UP. FUEL SPILLS OUT OF FILLER NECK WHEN TANK IS FILLED. VERY DANGEROUS. POTENTIAL FOR SOME VERY BAD THINGS TO HAPPEN.

TAKATA RECALL (NOT SURE). WHILE DRIVING (40 MPH TO 45 MPH) ON A RAINY AFTERNOON ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 18, 20017 THE RIGHT SIDE PANEL AIRBAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT BEEN IN ANY TYPE OR ACCIDENT OR NOTHING, BESIDES THAT IT WAS RAINING VERY HARD. IT SOUND LIKE A BIG EXPLOSION INSIDE THE CAR MAKING ME ALMOST LOST VEHICLE CONTROL.

MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED 4.7L 4X4 HAS BEEN CUTTING OFF WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SITTING STILL AS WELL AS CUTTING OFF WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AS WELL AS THE ESP/BAS AND SLIPPERY ROAD LIGHT. I'VE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR A COUPLE YEARS AND THE COMPUTER SAYS AIR FLOW SENSOR DETECTED. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE AND MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO TRADE IN CAUSE NO DEALERSHIP WANTS A PART OF IT CAUSE THERE'S NO RECALL FOR THE ISSUE. ANY HELP OR GUIDANCE WITH WHAT THE ISSUE COULD BE TO FIX IT WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP THANK YOU.

IT HAS DIED ON THE FREEWAY NUMEROUS TIMES WITH THE VEHICLE TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OVER 70 MILES AN HOUR, ON SIDE STREETS GOING UNDER 30, WHILE STOPPED AT RED LIGHTS, WHILE PLACED IN PARKED IN PARKING LOTS, AND ONCE WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS DISPLAYED AND DEALER DOES NOT KNOW WHAT'S WRONG. WHEN IT DIES ON THE FREEWAY I LOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SAFELY PULL OVER SO THAT I CAN PUT IT INTO PARK AND RESTART IT. I AM AFRAID THAT THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, AS I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED LAST TIME IT DIED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,702.

IN ADDITION, WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE, ESP, AND ABS WARNING INDICATORS DISPLAYED. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
WHILE DRIVING EVERY LIGHT AND GAUGE STARTED BOUNCING BACK AND FORTH. NO HEADLIGHTS OR BRAKE LIGHTS. AFTER SHUTT IT OFF IT CONTINUED TO DO IT. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN ANYTIME IT RAINS OR MOISTURE IN THE AIR. I HAVE HAD THE WIRING HARNESS IN THE STEERING COLUMN REPLACED AT THE DEALER AND THE CONTROLLER FOR THE BLINKERS REPLACED AT A LOCAL MECHANIC. THIS HAS NOT SOLVED THE ISSUE.ABSOLUTELY AFRAID IT IS GOING TO DIE ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DOING THIS. THIS HAPPENED WHILE IS WAS DRIVING BUT HAVE HAD IT HAPPEN AS SOON AS I START THE DURANGO. WE HAVE A VIDEO THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THAT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES THIS ISSUE. DODGE FORUM HAS OTHER DURANGO'S WITH THIS SAME ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL WE NEVER RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR EITHER AIRBAG! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE SINCE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE! I AM ONLY FINDING OUT THAT OUR VEHICLE IS ONE OF THE ONES AFFECTED THROUGH A FACEBOOK LINK! BEYOND UPSET! EAPECIALLY IF WE COULD HAVE GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT!
2007 DURANGO WITH HEMI ENGINE. THE 4LO LIGHT FLASHES AND, YOU CAN HEAR IT SWITCH UNDER THE CAR EVEN WHEN IT IS OFF. WHEN, I UNLOCK MY DOORS YOU CAN HEAR IT AGAIN. WHEN YOU SWITCH THE DIAL OVER TO 4LO THE SVC 4WD LIGHT JUST BLINKS. WHILE DRIVING THIS ENGAGED AS I WAS MAKING A TURN IT ALMOST STALLED ME WHILE TRAFFIC WAS COMING.
I WAS NOTIFIED MAY 2016 OF THE RECALL, BUT HAVE NOT YET BEEN CALLED IN FOR REPAIR. THIS VEHICLE IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION FOR MY FAMILY.

I WAS NOTIFIED ON JULY 1, 2016 THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. CHERRY HILL DODGE HAD ME SCHEDULED ONCE WHERE I SAT FOR 2 HOURS THEN THEY CAME AND TOLD ME THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS YET. HERE IT IS THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY AND THEY ARE STILL SAYING THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. THIS IS AFFECTING W/HO I ALLOW IN MY VEHICLE AND I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT THIS. WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED

LARGE AMOUNT OF FUEL SPILLS WHEN FILLING TANK, COMES OUT WHEN FUEL HOSE IS REMOVED FROM THE FILLER TUBE EVERY TIME WHEN FILLED.
WHEN WE FILL THE FUEL TANK, THE PUMP CLICKS AND WE STOP FUELING. PROBLEM AFTER THAT IS THAT THE VEHICLE STOPS RUNNING AT VARIOUS TIMES. COULD BE MAKING A TURN AND IT WILL DIE OR STOPPED OR DRIVING. VERY DANGEROUS. LOOKED UP THIS PROBLEM AND THERE IS A NHTSA BULLITIN FOR THIS PROBLEM FOR OTHER VEHICLES, THERE IS A VALVE ON TOP OF THE TANK THAT FAILS AND ALLOWS FUEL INTO THE VAPOR CANISTER CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STOP RUNNING. PLEASE EXTEND THE RECALL TO THIS VEHICLE AS WELL. THANK YOU
NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET ON MY VEHICLE. HOWEVER RECALL S43 / NHTSA 16V-352 WAS RELEASED IN JULY AND DODGE STILL DOES NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND THERE IS NO STATUS THRU DODGE ON WHEN THE PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
VEHICLE FLUCTUATES IN RPM'S UPON STARTING VEHICLE, WHILE STOPPED IN TRAFFIC AND WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. VEHICLE ALSO WILL RANDOMLY STALL WITH NO WARNING WHILE IN PARK, WHILE STOPPED AT TRAFFIC SIGNALS, PULLING INTO INTERSECTIONS AND ALSO WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. UPON STALLING I HAVE AN EXTREMELY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME TO PULL OVER BEFORE I LOOSE COMPLETE ABILITY TO STEER THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS RANDOM VIOLENT SHIFTING WHILE DRIVING. PROBLEMS BEGAN ABOUT 90,000 MILES AND HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY AND SEVERELY WORSE THE PAST 3 MONTHS.

MY FAMILY WAS IN A VIOLENT CAR ACCIDENT INVOLVING OUR 2007 DODGE DURANGO. WE WERE HIT "HEAD ON " IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE BY AN SUV GOING BETWEEN 60-80 ACCORDING TO STATE POLICE. THE ENTIRE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE TRUCK WAS COMPLETELY CAVED IN BY THE IMPACT THAT INCLUDED FLYING GLASS, METAL FRAGMENTS ETC. THE AIRBAGS DID COME OUT, BUT DID NOT INFLATE AND JUST CAME DOWN LIKE A "CAPE". THEY WERE USELESS IN PREVENTING ANY BODILY INJURIES. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING AND INJURED HER LEFT SHOULDER, HER BACK AND UP INTO HER NECK. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER SEAT AND HURT HER HEAD PRETTY BAD. I WAS IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND HURT MY KNEE, WRIST AND SHOULDER. MY SON WAS IN THE BACK PASSENGER SEAT AND HURT HIS BACK. WE WERE GOING 30 MPH IN RIGHT HAND LANE AND THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER CAR WAS SPEEDING DOWN THE MIDDLE LANE AND LOST CONTROL AFTER CLIPPING A CAR, SEVERAL BEHIND US. WITNESSES SAY HE WAS GOING 100 MPH. WE DID NOT KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 07 DURANGO FOR AIRBAGS, AND THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A FATAL CRASH.

WHILE MOVING OR AT REST, ACTIVATING TURN SIGNALS TO TURN RIGHT, IT RARELY SIGNALS. WHILE ACTIVATING LEFT TURN SIGNAL, THE RIGHT WILL BLINK THE MAJORITY OF HE TIME. AT TIMES THE CORRECT DIRECTION WILL BLINK AND THEN CHANGE DIRECTIONS BEFORE THE TURN IS MADE AND SOMETIMES AFTER THE TURN IS MADE. WHEN WIPERS ARE ON HIGHEST SETTING THEY WILL NOT WORK UNLESS I TURN ON THE HIGH BEAMS. WHEN SWITCHING FROM HI TO LOW BEAMS THE WIPER FLUID WILL DISPENSE. CRUISE CONTROL SUDDENLY ALSO DOES NOT WORK. POWER WINDOWS WILL RANDOMLY GO UP OR DOWN COMPLETELY ON THEIR OWN WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PUT THEM UP OR DOWN JUST A LITTLE OR JUST QUIT WORKING COMPLETELY AT TIMES.
