hello I have got my truck off dealership like 6 months ago and my transmission is down I have to pay out of pocket also my head rest Popped out and hit my head
since I have owned the vehicle ( I purchased it brand new) this has happened approx 30 times maybe more. Intermittently when you try to brake, the brake peddle is hard as a rock. I mostly notice it when I am at a fairly high speed say 50 mph but the problem is so sporadic not possible to have it replicated for the mechanic. There is a recall for this exact problem but manufacturer insists my vin # is not under the recall. I can never sell this car or let others drive it as I worry, without being familiar with the problem it could result in an accident.
Driver seat Headrest “exploded” open while I was driving, no one else was in the car, there were no warning lights that this was going to happen. The headrest remains in the same state if inspection is needed.
We were driving on the highway using the adaptive cruise control with the 3 furthest distance setting. Someone got in front of me and the FCW light came on and the engine shut off. We were able to pull off to the side of the road. I tried to start the car afterwards and it wouldn’t start. So we sat there for 15 minutes or so and tried again and it started. It happened again about 3 weeks later with the Adaptive Cruise control. Haven’t used it since.
check engine light came on at 110,000 miles Cylinder #5 misfire cam shaft and lifter completely destroyed engine had to be replaced $8,000 !!

Driving on Freeway and my son was sitting in the passenger seat when the headrest exploded for NO reason. It was extremely loud and I nearly swerved off the road. There was no warning signs or lights that ever came on for warning. After researching this apparently is a known issue and I want replaced NOT out of my pocket. I have monitored my son now for whiplash injury due to this incident.
My vehicle has been recalled, I believe, twice for the Fuel Pump Relay (Campaigns R09 or P54) . On June 21, 2021 I scheduled an appointment with my local World Chrysler Dodge Jeep store to have the recall performed. For approxmimately 1 month, other than sluggishness, the car functioned normally. In the July, the car began stalling for no reason again. The recall performed on the vehicle HAS NOT corrected the issue with the Fuel Pump Relay. I had once incident in June 2021 where the car stalled in the middle of an intersection and I was in serious danger of being hit by other vehicles travelling toward my car. I was fortunate that there were a few people who pushed my car off to the side of the road. This past week alone, my car has had three incidences when I start the car, the engine turns over, and then immediately stalls. You cannot immediately restart because the engine will just crank, but not turn over. You must wait a few minutes before you can restart the vehicle. There are the same issues I was experiencing before the new relay pumb was replaced. In my opinion, in addition to the stalling, the new relay has made my car run very sluggish. It is not very responsive when pressing my foot on the gas pedal, it bogs down first, and then it begins to respond. It has been dangerous when I am trying to enter a busy roadway and need the vehicle to go quickly so I can merge in to traffic. It just bogs down. This is not just a one time incident, the car has stalled at least 5 times since the replacement in June 2021. Today alone, August 28, 2021 it started/stalled twice. No inspection of the component has been done. I tried to get a second new replacement but was told that too many people were on the waiting list, and there weren't enough new parts to redo the work already done on my vehicle. No warning lights of any kind come on and there are no other symptoms of the proble before it occurs. No one has been able to reproduce the problem.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The front driver and passenger side windows also failed to roll up and down unless the contact disconnected the window fuse then reconnect it in order to operate the windows. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and had two recalls repaired NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V572000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic). However, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 117,000.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle shut off with several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had the vehicle jump-started on several occasions to resume normal driving. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that a diagnostic test needed to be performed to determine the cause of the failure. He was also informed that NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) needed to be repaired before the diagnostic test was performed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 147,000.
I was sitting in the vehicle while it was in park, idling, and the driver’s seat active headrest suddenly deployed. Nothing struck the vehicle to cause it to jar suddenly. I was sitting in my kids’ school parking lot dropping them off. When looking inside the deployed headrest, it seems like there is a broken plastic piece that possibly works to keep the headrest “latched.”
The passenger headrest made a loud noise and shot the front piece of it out extremely fast. There was no warning messages or lights. It could hurt head and neck . I have had this vehicle since it was new. Never got a recall warning about exploding headrest from Dodge. It has not been inspected by manufacturer or insurance or others.
Was out running errands and returned home. Pulled in garage and vehicle smelled hot, like on fire. Went to start vehicle back up and remove from garage incase of fire. The vehicle would NOT start. Took vehicle to local repairman. I was informed the alternator caught on fire. If this would of happened on the road, I could have been in a bad accident. Also because my vehicle was parked in the garage, there could of been the possibility of my house and vehicle catching on fire if it would have been worse. My Durango is currently at a independent auto repair shop. The new alternator has been ordered but there is concern that the computer might be destroyed also. The only person to inspect the vehicle would be my auto repairman. Unfortunately, there was absolutely NO warning lamps prior to the alternator burning up.
The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owned a 2013 Dodge Durango. The contact stated her husband was attempting to start the ignition but it was a "hard start". The driver started the following day while driving 25 mph when the vehicle and the steering wheel seized. The driver stated he lost control of the vehicle and it steered to the right and crashed into multiple parked vehicles. The driver stated no warning light was illuminated. The driver stated both front driver and passenger side airbags deployed. The driver stated he had minor injuries on his right side shoulder and elbow but did not seek medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was deemed total by the insurance company. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed. A dealer was not contacted. The VIN was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000. * (RECALL RELATED INCIDENT) TS

THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2013 DODGE DURANGO FOR THE SUV TO SUDDENLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE RECALL WAS SAID TO BE FIXED BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD IT SHUT OFF AT LEAST 4 TIMES WHILE DRIVING. YOU LOSE COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE CAR; NO BRAKES, NO STEERING...NOTHING! THIS HAS HELPED ON A FLAT SURFACE AND ON A HILL.
CAR RANDOMLY SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING, NO WARNINGS. SHUT OFF COULD NOT STEER AS STEERING WHILE LOCKED UP & COULD NOT BRAKE AS BRAKE PAD WAS HARD AND LOCKED UP AS WELL. GOT IT TO THE SIDE OF ROAD, IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP BUT SHUT OFF AGAIN NOT EVEN 2 MINUTES LATER. WAS ABLE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AND STARTED BACK UP BUT PUTTERED AS ALL THE LIGHTS FLASHED INSIDE OF THE CAR. I HAD MY KID IN THE CAR I AM TERRIFIED.
MY DURANGO STALLS WHEN I'M DRIVING AND RESTARTS ON ITS OWN. I HAD THE FUEL PUMP RELAY CHANGED ALREADY WHICH I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE DODGE DOESN'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART. MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO STALL WITH OUT NOTICE AND AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR A WEEK. THE CAR NEVER STALLED WHEN THE DROVE IT AROUND A FEW TIMES. THIS CAR IS VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT STOPS AT ANY MOMENT AND YOU LOSE COMPLETE POWER. AT ANYTIME YOU COULD CRASH WITHOUT NOTICE.

THERE HAS BEEN A FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL SINCE 2019. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES AND AS LATE AS TODAY 3/23/2021 I GET THE SAME EXCUSE. I AM TOLD IT'S ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GET TO ME OR I'VE BEEN PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THIS IS SO BECAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THIS PART CAN RESULT IN DEATH. AGAIN THIS HAS BEEN OUT SINCE 2019.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AT GILLMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (10585 W. SAM HOUSTON PKWY S, HOUSTON, TX 77099) HOWEVER, THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND REQUIRED A JUMP START EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NO LONGER OFFERING ACCESS TO ROADSIDE SERVICE FOR THE JUMP START SINCE THE SERVICE WAS USED SO FREQUENTLY. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
My vehicle had shut down on me numerous times while I was driving with my kids in the car and it hasn’t been running for months now I’m without a vehicle cause I had took it to the dealership to fix the problem and the problem was never fixed
The recall that was done on 1/4/21 for a fuel pump relay on this vehicle has not been properly working since it was installed. Have had problems with a no start would just crank and it might start on the 3 or 4 try took to the dealers and even towed there once. Kept telling them that this problem started after this recall of the fuel pump relay. Gas mileage also went down. When taken in and even towed to dealership there was no codes for anything except battery was dead from the cranking trying to start the motor. after they got the battery charged it didn't do it for them so no codes for them to see. It would do it sometimes and then wouldn't do it. If you was out and about you might get stranded. Called Detroit the Dodge makers and was told that they wasn't going to do anything about it since it was out of warranty you only have a 2 years warranty on a recall part. But when they keep saying it's all done right. What does a consumer have to do to get it fixed properly!
SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JANUARY 2020 11TH, IT DROVE LIKE IT HAD BAD GAS IN IT. IT WANTED TO GO WHEN I ACCELERATED BUT SLOW TO MOVE. I WAS NOT TOLD BY THE DEALER NOR GIVEN CAR FAX ABOUT THE RECALL AND THE DANGEROUS IT COULD POSE TO ME AND MY FAMILY. I HAD A LEAK, WHICH HAD TO DO WITH TRANSMISSION AND I REPAIRED IT OUT OF OUR OWN EXPENSES BC IT WASNT COVERED. IT ALSO STOPPED TURNING ON AS WELL. MY HUSBAND WAS VISITING HIS SISTER, AND IT CUT OFF WHILE COMING ONTO THE ON THE RAMP OF A LOCAL STREET. EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL SAID AS NOTIFIED IN DECEMBER 2020 HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION ON A BUSY ROAD. I AM THANKFUL IT WAS MY HUSBAND AND NOT ME AND MY THREE YOUNG CHILDREN. THAT DAY WAS JANUARY 1ST 2021, THE CAR WAS TOWED TO MY HOME, AAA ONLY ALLOWS ONE TOW. AND GATE OF DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED. IT IS STILL THERE. AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS ON BACK ORDER THE PART AND WONT BE IN UNTIL FEBRUARY. I AM WITHOUT A LOANER AS WELL AS A RENT A CAR. UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALERSHIP IN MY HOME WONT HAVE THE PART UNTIL FEBUARY AND I ALREADY DROVE TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED FROM OVER 100 MILES AWAY 2X SINCE OUR PRUCHASE AND ITS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
AFTER MY VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AS STATED BY THE PRIOR RECALL, I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS THOUGH MY CAR WILL JUST STOP RUNNING AT ANY TIME. IT IS QUITE SCARY TO THINK THAT I AM DRIVING A 'FIXED' CAR AND AM EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS BEFORE. MY CAR NOW UNLOCKS AND LOCKS AS WELL, WHICH IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE I CANNOT KEEP SAFELY ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION IN MY VEHICLE OR PREVENT IT FROM BEING BROKEN INTO. THE INTIAL RECALL REPAIR DID NOT FIX THE UNDERLYING PROBLEM. I AM WAITING FOR IT TO STALL OUT.
LIFTER AND CAMSHAFT FAILED ON 3.6 V6 ENGINES. HAS BECOME A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE ON 2011-2015 DODGES THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX AND ALSO POSES A SAFETY CONCERN IF ENGINE FAILS WHILE DRIVING.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET A RECALL DONE ON MY CAR FOR MONTHS AND I CAN'T, FUEL PUMP RELAY. EVERY TIME I CALL THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAY CALL BACK NEXT WEEK AND NOTHING. I HAVE CALLED EVERY DEALERSHIP AROUND AND THEY SAY THEY GET ONE PART A WEEK. I DON'T KNOW WHO TO GO TO. AM I SUPPOSED WAIT UNTIL I AM BROKEN DOWN?

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE VEHICLE WAS SMOKING. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF THE ROAD AND THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND NOTICED THE ALTERNATOR WAS VERY HOT AND HAD MELTED. THE CONTACT SMELT BURNING ELECTRICAL WIRES COMING FROM THE ALTERNATOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (BUD CLARY MOSES LAKE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM 12174 N FRONTAGE RD E, MOSES LAKE, WA 98837 (509) 707-8358). THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER CURRENTLY UNREPAIRED AND AWAITING DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED YET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.*DT*JB
MY DURANGO STARTED TO SPURTER AROUND 30 MPH AND AGAIN AT AROUND 50 MPH. IT ALSO SEEM TO NOT HAVE TO POWER TO GET THE DURANGO TO GET UP AND GO IT SEEM TO LAG AND NOT HAVE THE POWER. I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR THE RECALL PARTS FOR THIS VEHICLE. BACK IN 2018 I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE LOOKED AT AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO NEW PRODUCT TO REPLACE THE RECALL PART AND HERE WE ARE IN 2020 AND STILL DODGE HAS NOTHING TO REPLACE THE BAD PART WITH. I AM HAVING TO PURCHASE THE PART THAT IS NOT WORKING AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW BAD PART. DODGE IT IS TIME TO GET IT TOGETHER AND FIX IT
MY WIFE WAS INVOLVED IN A VERY SERIOUS ROLLOVER ACCIDENT THIS PAST WEEK (11/18) IN OUR 2013 DODGE DURANGO SUV. SHE WAS HIT IN THE REAR QUADRANT AND FLIPPED SEVERAL TIMES COMING TO A REST ON THE ROOF. WE HAVE 3 CHILDREN (WHO WERE LUCKILY NOT IN THE CAR AT THE TIME) WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN SEVERELY INJURED IF NOT KILLED IN THIS ACCIDENT AS NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THIS HAPPENED ON MERRITT PARKWAY IN CT*DT*AS
THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST SAFETY FEATURE DEPLOYED WHILE I WAS SITTING STATIONARY (PARKED) ON A CITY STREET. THE SAFETY FEATURE IS DESIGNED TO DEPLOY DURING A REAR END ACCIDENT TO PREVENT WHIPLASH. THE HEADREST BURST OPEN STRIKING ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITHOUT THERE BEING ANY REAR END COLLISION OR MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS ALSO NO ONE SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. I CONTACTED TWO DODGE DEALERSHIPS TO INQUIRE ABOUT RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE. THE TWO DEALERSHIPS WERE UNAWARE OF ANY RECALLS OR ISSUES FOR MY VEHICLE. THE REPLACEMENT/REPAIR COST WOULD BE AT MY EXPENSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. BOYD CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM OF SOUTH HILL (1123 E ATLANTIC ST, SOUTH HILL, VA 23970) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED A FAILURE BUT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.*DT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE IS GETTING WORSE. *TR
MY WIFE WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND GOT HIT IN THE BACK OF HEAD BY THE HEADREST. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45MPH ON A CITY STREET WHEN IT DEPLOYED VIOLENTLY FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER. WE HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT WITH THIS VEHICLE SO THERE'S NO REASON THIS SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED. IT GAVE HER A PRETTY GOOD HEADACHE TOO.
WE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF OF RECALL V62/NHTSA 19V-813, FUEL PUMP RELAY, IN NOVEMBER OF 2019. WE CALLED THE DEALER AND WERE TOLD THAT A REMEDY WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. I JUST CALLED AGAIN TODAY, 16 OCT 2020, AND A REMEDY IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. COMING UP ON A YEAR SINCE THE ORIGINAL NOTIFICATION.
MY VEHICLE GET STALL ONCE ON A WHILE IT TAKES A FEW TURNS TO GET IT STARTED IT IT HAPPENED THREE TIMES ALREADY
FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST DEPLOYED ON IT'S OWN WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.*DT*DT
THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 45MPH
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THE BATTERY WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT THEN SAW SMOKE THAT SEEPED INTO THE CABIN AS HE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A STOP IN A PARKING LOT. THE CONTACT ALSO SAW SMOKE COMING FOR UNDER THE HOOD WHERE THE ENGINE WAS LOCATED BUT DID NOT SEE ANY FLAMES. AAA TOWED THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BATTERY DEPLETED, ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE, POSITIVE TERMINAL WAS SHORTED DIRECTLY TO GROUND, TOTAL INTEGRATED MODULE AND POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE WERE BURNED. THE MECHANIC FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN BUT IT DID NOT APPLY TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,618.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER A FEW DAYS LATER FOR SERVICE. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS CODE P0741: TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH CIRCUIT PERFORMANCE AND THAT IT WAS A CHRYSLER STAR CASE: S1321000013, WHICH MEANT THAT THE ONLY SOLUTION WAS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION, AT A COST OF $5,000. THE VEHICLE HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT RECENTLY EXPIRED, ONLY HAS AROUND 84,500 MILES AND HAS BEEN SERVICED REGULARLY. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AS THIS ISSUE WAS NOT MY FAULT AND WAS DENIED. CALLED IN TWICE, WROTE A FORMAL LETTER OF COMPLAINT, AND SENT AN EMAIL TO CHRYSLER COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT. HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY RESPONSE BACK. VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND CURRENTLY PARKED.
