VEHICLE STALLED ON HIGHWAY WHEN GOING OVER 40 MPH. WATER GETS INTO LEFT REAR LIGHT AND CAUSES REAR LIGHTS TO GO OUT.
AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. I WAS TOLD THIS VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL FOR 2014 DODGE DURANGO
A SECTION OF THE LIFT-GATE RACING LIGHTS IS OUT. IT IS A SEALED UNIT SO YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THE ENTIRE RACING LIGHT ASSEMBLY. IT IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, APPROXIMATELY $1200 JUST FOR THE ASSEMBLY ITSELF. AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION IT APPEARS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE DURANGO'S. WATER ENTERS THE SEALED UNIT (APPARENTLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT SEALED PROPERLY) AND CAUSES THE LED LIGHT TO BURN OUT. GIVEN THE COMMON OCCURRENCE OF THIS ISSUE DODGE SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.
THE SERVICE YOUR AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS TURNING ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY, WHILE DRIVING. IT ALSO DISABLES THE SEAT BELT AUTOMATIC LOCKING WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON. IT WAS RECALLED ON THE 2014 JEEPS WITH THE SAME ISSUE...
REAR LED LITIGATE LIGHT COLLECTS WATER INSIDE UNIT AND BURNS OUT THE LED. THIS THE THIRD TIME IT HAD HAPPENED. LIGHT WAS REPLACED TWICE ALREADY.
TAIL LIGHT HAS GOTTEN WATER INSIDE TWICE FROM RAIN CAN'T KEEP FIXING THIS ISSUE
VEHICLE HAS LOUD HUMMING NOISE COMING FROM PASSENGER SIDE.TOOK ME A MONTH JUST TO GET AN APPOINTMENT..DROPPED CAR OFF ON 12/09/19 @ WESTBURY ,NY DODGE DEALER..DEALER STATED CAR NEEDED WHEEL HUB BEARINGS, STATES ALL 4 HAVE BEEN CHANGED. TOLD TO PICK CAR UP ON 12/17/19, CAR WAS NEVER TEST DRIVEN AS STATED AND PROBLEM WAS WORST. LEFT CAR TO CORRECT, PICKED CAR UP AGAIN ON 12/18/19 TO HERE A NEW PROBLEM WHICH WAS RUBBING FROM PASSENGER REAR. . SERVICE REP. DOMINIQUE WHO TEST DROVE WITH ME SAID THAT THIS WAS NORMAL.(UNSATISFACTORY).SERVICE REP. HANDLING MY CAR IS MANNY., GIVES ME THE RUN AROUND, DOESNT STAY INTOUCH ONLY AFTER I MAKE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS, PROMISED TO GIVE ME A LOANER VEHICLE ,THEN WHEN I SHOW UP I DONT RECIEVE ONE , REASON BEING I DIDNT PURCHASE CAR FROM THEM, BUT OK TO BE INCONVENIENCED FOR OVER 10 DAYS..I WAS TOLD BY BOTH REPS. TO TAKE CAR AND BRING BACK IF ISSUE CONTINUES.(SITUATION WAS STILL ONGOING)..THIS IS VERY UNSATISFACTORY AND HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED. I WAS DRIVING AND MY SUNROOF WINDOW EXPLODED.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, SO I TOOK IT TO THE NEAREST MECHANIC (NOT A DODGE DEALERSHIP). THEY DID A SCAN AND THE CODE SAID MISFIRE, SO THEY RECOMMENDED A TUNE UP. $500 LATER THE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. MY SON TOOK IT TO DODGE WHO SAID MISFIRE, LEFT HEAD. THE V6 ENGINE I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM UP TO 2013 AND DODGE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY ON THE LEFT HEAD TO 150K MILES. THEY TOLD US I WAS OUT OF WARRANTY BY 5 WEEKS OR 3K MILES, SO THE REPAIR WOULD COST $2700.00. I CALLED DODGE CORPORATE FOR HELP AND WAS TOLD TOUGH, WE CANT HELP YOU. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS IN EARLIER YEARS. NOW I HAVE NO TRANSPORTATION TO WORK AS THEY SAID NOT TO DRIVE IT. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE 2014 V6 PENTASTAR ENGINE. THE REAR TAIL LIGHT HAS GOT WATER IN THE REAR DECK LED LIGHTS. SOMETIMES CALL THE RACETRACK LIGHTS, AND CAUSED THE LED TO BURN OUT NOT HE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT. MANY HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS. DODGE WANTS $1000 TO REPAIR. THIS IS THE SECOND ONE THAT IT HAS DONE IT TO. DODGE REPLACED THE FIRST ONE UNDER WARRANTY AT THIS 22,000.
REAR TAILLIGHT LED BAR WENT OUT AFTER WATER ENTERED THE LIGHT BAR THROUGH SMALL OPENINGS AND DEFECTIVE WEATHER STRIPPING. THE LIGHTS ON THE DURANGO ARE NOT SEALED GOOD ENOUGH TO PREVENT WATER FROM ENTERING. THE LIGHT AND THE REAR CAMERA STOPPED WORKING FOR THE SAME REASON. THIS IS A DEFECT THAT ORIGINATED DURING PRODUCTION AND CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THESE PARTS EVERY COUPLE MONTHS BECAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE
THE PASSENGER ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHEN MY 14 YEAR OLD SON LEANED BACK IN THE SEAT. WE WERE IN MOTION, PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT.
TICKING NOISE WHEN ENGINE WAS RUNNING. MECHANIC WAS FAMILIAR WITH NOISE. STATED IT WAS A BAD ROCKER ARM.WHEN IT WAS TAKEN APART FOUND THAT THE BAD ROCKER HAD ALSO DAMAGED CAM SHAFT . ENDED UP REPLACING ALL ROCKERS AND CAMS AT A COST OF 2400.00. MECHANIC ALSO STATED THIS WAS A WELL KNOW ISSUE WITH THESE MOTORS
I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT AS MY 2014 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED HAD AN OIL LEAK. OIL ENDS UP ALL OVER YOUR GARAGE, ROAD, DRIVEWAY IN THE SIZE OF A SOFTBALL ON THE GROUP AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. AFTER TAKING TO LOCAL MECHANIC, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE "COOLING ASSEMBLY OR A SENSOR WAS LEAKING". IT TURNS OUT MY CAR THE ENTIRE COOLING ASSEMBLY WAS BAD. MECHANIC INFORMED ME THAT 3 OTHER CHYSLER/DODGE PRODUCTS WERE IN HIS SHOP OVER THE PAST WEEK WITH THE SAME ISSUE. ALSO, WHEN HE RECEIVED THE PART FROM THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER, THEY ORIGINALLY HAD 5 IN STOCK THAT WEEK AND I GOT THE LAST ONE. SO, THIS APPEARS TO BE A FLAW IN THE MANUFACTURED PART THAT LEAKS OIL AND COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE A FIRE, ILLNESS, ETC. PART AND LABOR COST ME $650.00. MY 2014 DURANGO HAS 65,000 MILES AT TIME OF POSTING.
WATER IN THE TAIL LIGHT ( TRACK LIGHT/ LED). JUST REPLACED 8 MONTHS AGO BY DEALERSHIP. ON DRIVERS SIDE LOWER LED HAS A CUP OF WATER FROM THE RAIN. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME. FIRST TIME, TURNED DARK AND LIGHT WENT OUT AFTER BUYING 2 MONTHS LATER. 3/15/19
WHEN I PURCHASED CAR 12/3/19 REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT DID NOT RETRACT SO CHILD COULDN'T OCCUPY SEAT, THIS WAS FIXED IMMEDIATELY. THEN 8 MONTHS LATER THE RIGHT SIDE PASSENGER SEAT BELT BROKE AND WOULDN'T RETRACT AND NOW FRONT DRIVERS SEAT WON'T RETRACT AND THE DODGE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT IT WOULD COST $600 TO FIX AND I SAID NO ITS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE COVERED AND VEHICLE WAS AT 92000 MILES ?? SO AS OF NOW IT IS STILL NOT REPAIRED AND I CONTACTED DODGE CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY STILL WON'T REPAIR RIDICULOUS I TOLD THEM LAST DODGE I WILL PURCHASE , THIS IS MY 4TH DODGE SADLY PROBABLY MY LAST
CENTER TAILGATE (RACE TRACK) TAIL LIGHT GETS WATER IN IT EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR SNOW MELTS REGARDLESS IF STATIONARY OR DRIVING. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME IT HAS HAPPENED AND THE LIGHT IS NOW SHORTED OUT (VISIBLY BURNT) AND THE VEHICLE SMELLS LIKE BURNT PLASTIC. REPLACED JUNE 2016, DEC 2017 AND NOW NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DEC 2019.
WATER IS/HAS POOLED IN THE REAR TAIL LAMP MOUNTED ON THE LIFT GATE, CAUSING THE LED'S TO NOT WORK CORRECTLY AND SHORT OUT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I AM NOT ALONE BY MY RESEARCH ON DODGE DURANGO FORUMS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A UNIVERSAL PROBLEM WITH MOST OWNERS WHOSE LED'S ARE ALSO SHORTED OUT. I AM WONDERING WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL, OR, IF THERE IS, I WOULD APPRECIATE A REPLACEMENT AT NO COST TO ME. THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AS THESE ARE NOT REPAIRABLE. I DID NOT PLACE WATER IN THIS SEALED UNIT, SO HOW DID SO MANY OF US GET WATER IN THERE? WOULD APPRECIATE AND EXPLANATION OF WHY I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY OVER $1,000.00 FOR A FACTORY DEFECT? ANY REPLY WOULD GREATLY BE HELPFUL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS STANDING BY THE VEHICLE, ONE OF THE TAIL LIGHTS CRACKED IN A VERTICAL LINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERRICK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP OF WANTAGH (516-868-4400, LOCATED AT 3614 SUNRISE HWY, STE B, WANTAGH, NY 11793) WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NOT COVERED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL AND THAT IT WAS NOT A KNOWN FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,000.
I WAS CLEANING MY CAR (STATIONARY IN DRIVEWAY) ON 11/3/2019 AND NOTICED A PIECE OF PLASTIC ON THE FLOORBOARD. I LOOKED UP TO SEE WHERE IT MIGHT HAVE CAME FROM AND NOTICED THE DRIVER SEAT HEADREST WAS SEPARATING. I ATTEMPTED TO PUSH THE TWO PIECES BACK TOGETHER AND THE HEADREST FULLY DEPLOYED. UPON INSPECTION I COULD SEE THAT THE CLIP THAT HOLDS A METAL PIN HAD FAILED. THE PLASTIC PIECE I FOUND WAS PART OF THIS CLIP. VERY GRATEFUL I WAS NOT DRIVING WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THIS VEHICLE IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD. IT IS NOT STORED IN THE HEAT OR SUN. NOW WE GET TO WAIT FOR THE EVENTUAL FAILURE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT. SAFETY DEVICES SHOULD NOT CAUSE INJURY.

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE B PILLAR PLASTIC BELT HOLDER/POST HAD CRACKING. THE FAILURE WAS PRESENT ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEATS ON THE FRONT AND 3RD ROW. THE CAUSE OF THE CRACK WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER CHAPMAN DODGE/CHRYSLER(3800 N. 89TH ST. SCOTTSDALE AZ) WAS NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000. *BF *TP
UPON PARKING AND REMOVING THE SEATBELT, I NOTICED IT WOULD NOT RETRACT. UPON FURTHER VISUAL INSPECTION, THERE IS A CRACK ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PART THAT HOLDS THE STRAP. DEALERSHIP STATES THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THIS SEEMS LIKE A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN IF THE PART IS FAULTY AND THERE HAD BEEN AN ACCIDENT. PLEASE SEE PICTURE.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, he activated the remote start feature and noticed that the tailgate light was not illuminated. The contact stated that he observed condensation at the lower portion of the bulb and that the component might have failed due to the fixture not being sealed properly. The contact stated that he was concerned that the failure might lead to him being stopped by the police due to the failure. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
DRIVERS SEAT ACTIVE HEADREST INTERNAL PLASTIC PARTS FAILED AND DEPLOYED THE HEADREST AND HIT MY WIFE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WHILE DRIVING. LUCKY SHE WASN'T IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR TURNING WHEN IT HAPPENED. UPON MY FURTHER INSPECTION THE ACTIVE SYSTEM WAS STILL INTACT. THE PLASTIC PARTS FAILED VIOLENTLY RELEASING THE HEADREST.
THE HEAD REST POP OPEN PUT OF NO WHERE. TRY TO EXPLAIN THIS TO THEM AND NO ONE IS WILLING TO HELP. HOWEVER AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH, I FOUND OUT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THE PROBLEM AND THAT IS VERY COMMON. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS UP TO THEIR ATTENTION I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOT A RECALL ON IT SO THEREFORE THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO HELP.
WHILE VEHICLE WAS SITTING STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY OVER NIGHT, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNOCCUPIED AND NOT IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE HAS 121,000 MILES ON IT. ONLINE RESEARCH REVEALED THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH OVER 30 INCIDENTS ALREADY DOCUMENTED. THIS SAFETY RELATED ITEM NEEDS TO BE IDENTIFIED FOR RECALL.
ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYED ON DRIVERS SIDE 2 YEARS AGO, LAST MONTH PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED. IN BOTH CASES DEPLOYMENT WAS NOTICED UPON ENTERING STATIONARY VEHICLE.
BURNED OUT PORTION OF RACE TRACK LIGHTING ON REAR OF VEHICLE.
THE CAR WAS IN PARK WITH IGNITION SWITCH OFF. I SAT IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND STARTING TO PUT ON MY SEATBELT WHEN UNEXPECTEDLY THE SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM HEADREST ACTIVATED HITTING ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. AFTER INCIDENT I OBSERVED THAT THE PLASTIC USED TO HOLD THE RETAINER BAR IN PLACE HAS GAVE OUT AND NO LONGER IN PLACE WITH THE RETAINING BAR STILL WITHIN THE RELEASE HOOKS.
I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE REAR LIGHTING ON MY 2014 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED ALLOWING WATER TO LEAK INSIDE OF THE LIGHTS. THE REAR RACETRACK TAIL LIGHT HAS GOTTEN WATER INSIDE OF IT CAUSING SOME OF THE LED LIGHTS TO STOP WORKING. ONE OF THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS HAS ALSO GOTTEN WATER INSIDE OF IT WHICH HAS CAUSED IT TO STOP WORKING. FROM SOME RESEARCH THIS LOOKS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE THAT CUSTOMERS ARE HAVING WITH 2014 AND NEWER DODGE DURANGO VEHICLES. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN THAT MAY CAUSE EVEN FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND LIGHTS THAT ARE NEEDED FOR SAFETY REASONS.
THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START ONCE DRIVEN AND TURNED OFF. WHEN START IS PRESSED AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE JUST TURNS OVER AND DON'T START. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO AUTO NATION DODGE SEVERAL TIMES AND THE SERVICE DEPT CLAIMS THEY REPLACED THE TPIM BUT THE VEHICLE STILLS WONT START AT TIMES AND DOES IT MORE OFTEN WHEN RESTARTED
DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION IN REVERSE IN OUR DRIVEWAY (NO ACCIDENT). THE HEADREST STRUCK THE DRIVER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD, STARTLING THE DRIVER AND CAUSING A SAFETY HAZARD. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION OF THE HEADREST, THE PLASTIC PIECES HOLDING THE ROD THAT SECURES THE HEADREST FAILED.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR,MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE HEADREST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BROKE AND HIT HER IN THE HEAD.
SERVICE AIRBAGS NOTIFICATION KEEPS COMING ON. SCHEDULED TO TAKE IT TO DEALER. FOUND OUT SERVICE RECALL HAS BEEN MADE FOR AIRBAGS ON JEEP CHEROKEE BUT NOT 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHY NOT IF THE SAME PROBLEM IS OCCURRING WITH THE DODGE DURANGO THOSE. THIS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 90000 MILES ON IT SHOULD NOT HAVE AIRBAG ISSUES. AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD COME ON AS SOON AS I START TO CAR THEN WOULD GO OFF THEN MY SERVICE ALARM FOR AIRBAG WOULD COME ON AND STAY ON. NOW SERVICE LIGHT FOR AIRBAGS COME ON IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND WILL NOT GO OFF.
WHEN IT RAINS, WATER COLLECTS INSIDE THE RACETRACK TAIL LIGHTS OF MY 2014 DURANGO. THE PROBLEM EXIST ON THE REAR OF THE PART. THE SPONGE-LIKE GASKET IS DISINTEGRATING. I GOT IT REPLACED AT THE DEALER FOR 1,000 $ ABOUT 4 MONTHS AGO, I GOT WATER AGAIN IN THE NEW ONES. THE LED'S ARE NOT WORKING ANYMORE WHEN I TURN ON THE LIGHTS ON.
THE REAR TAILLIGHT GETS WATER IN IT EVERYTIME IT RAINS AND PART OF THE LED OF THE TAILLIGHT HAS GONE OUT DUE TO THE WATER AND THIS IS A HIGE SAFETY CONCERN. ON DODGE FORUM THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE AND WELL AS WELL KNOWN OF AT THE DEALERSHIP. I DID CALL DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH NORESPONSIBILTY TAKEN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HOLZHAUER MOTORS LOCATED AT 1200 S. 2ND ST, CHEROKEE, IA 51012-2139, AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
JUST PURCHASED A 2014 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED. HAD IT ONE WEEK AND A PORTION OF THE RACE TRACK LIGHTING ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE HAS WENT OUT. IT APPEARS WATER HAS GOTTEN INTO THE LIGHTING HOUSING. THIS APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THAT LIGHTING SYSTEM, AS COMPLAINTS ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT IT. PROBLEM NOW IS EVENTUALLY IT WILL SHORT OUT THE ENTIRE BACKEND LIGHTS INCLUDING THE RUNNING LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS CREATING A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. TO REPLACE THE PART IS OVER $1,000 WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR THE CONSUMER TO FIX. ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE THAT THIS PART IS FAILING SO QUICKLY ON DODGE PRODUCTS WITH THAT STYLE LIGHTING AND ISN'T AN AFFORDABLE FIX. I AM CONCERNED DRIVING MY VEHICLE SINCE I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL COMPLETELY SHORT OUT. DODGE SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM THAT IS CAUSING THE LIGHTING TO ACCUMULATE WATER AND SHORT OUT. A FEW DEFECTIVE LIGHTS IS UNDERSTANDABLE BUT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS SHOWS IT REALLY NEEDS RECALLED.
AIRBAG LIGHT AND SERVICE AIRBAG SYSTEM WARNING CONSTANTLY ON. AIRBAG SYSTEM DEACTIVATED. VERY DSNGEROUS IF COLLISON WERE TO HSPORN. TOLD MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL P67, WHICH IS THE ISSUE I AM HAVING. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MULTIPLE REPORTS OF NOT BEING INCLUDED IN THE RECALL YET EXPERIENCING THE SAME SAFETY ISSUE THAT IS COVERED UNDER RECALL P67.
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED.
THE HEADREST ALL OF A SUDDEN POPPED OUT/ EXPLODED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EXTERIOR LED LIGHTS AND REVERSE LIGHTS SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS. THE CONTACT LOOKED INSIDE THE LIGHT FIXTURES AND FOUND WATER. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE EXTERIOR LIGHTING HIMSELF, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,000.
REAR RACETRACK LIGHTING GETS DAMAGE DUE TO THE POOR INSULATION AROUND THE HOUSING. PART OF THE LIGHTING DOES NOT WORK AND CAN CAUSE VISABLITIY OF OTHER DRIVERS TO SEE THE VEHICLE. DODGE HAS NOT RECALL BUT IT SHOULD BE SINCE IT CAUSE FAILURE IN A STATE INSPECTION.
WATER SEEPS INTO THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. MUST BE DRAINED OR LIGHTS WILL SHORT OUT AND ALSO LOSS OF LED ILLUMINATION.
The fuel door becomes loose and will not open without using emergency release in trunk.
THE RACETRAK LIFT GATE HOUSING HAS ACCUMULATED WATER AND CAUSED BRAKE LIGHTS TO MALFUNCTION.
ON 8/24/19 THE ALTERNATOR FAILED WHILE DRIVING (IN MOTION!!) AND THE CAR STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD SHORTLY AFTER THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. THE BATTERY HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED NEW THAT SAME DAY. WE COULD NOT MOVE THE CAR OR RESTART THE VEHICLE TO MOVE IT AND JUST PURCHASED USED ON THE 21 AUGUST 2019, ISSUE THAT YOU CAN NOT GET THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL TO MOVE THE CAR. OR THAT THERE IS NO A SECONDARY POWER SOURCE SO THAT IF THE POWER FAILS YOU CAN STILL OPERATE THE GEARS AND MOVE THE CAR OUT OF THE WAY. THE CARE MAKES A CLANKING NOISE LIKE IF THE GEARS WERE NOT MOVING AND THE CAR JOLTED FORWARD AND JUST STOPPED. REALLY? THEN COULDN'T MOVE IT THANK GOD IT DIDN'T HAPPEN ON THE FREEWAY. SAW THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS DURANGO FOR THE ALTERNATOR SUDDENLY FAILING THAT EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEN BUT THERE IS NO RECORD OF THAT BEING FIXED OR BEING AN ISSUE ON THIS MODEL WHY?
DUE TO WATER INTRUSION, MY LOWER LEFT CORNER LED OF THE "RACETRACK" TAIL LAMP HAS PREMATURELY BURNED OUT.
THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STATED LOW FLUID. I TOPPED OFF THE FLUID. I CHECKED ALL WHEELS FOR LEAKS AND FOUND NONE. SEVERAL WEEKS LATER, THE SAME WARNING APPEARED AND BREAK FLUID WAS LOW AGAIN. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH APPLE DODGE IN HANOVER, PA. THEY FOUND THAT THE BRAKE LINE HAD BEEN RUBBING ON THE STEERING COLUMN AND RUBBED A HOLE IN THE METAL BRAKE LINE CAUSING THE LEAK. THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND HAS NEVER BEEN "OFF-ROADING". I CONTACTED DODGE TO REQUEST A REFUND OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM REPAIR AS I FEEL THAT THIS WAS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THE VEHICLE LEFT THE FACTORY WITH THE CONDITION OF THE BRAKE LINE RUBBING THE STEERING COLUMN AND THIS SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME AS A RECALL. DODGE CASE MANAGEMENT # 59431690. I WAS NOTIFIED BY PHONE TODAY, 9/6/19, THAT DODGE WOULD ONLY REFUND 50% OF THE REPAIR COST. THIS BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE COULD HAVE CAUSED A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND EVEN DEATH. ATTACHED ARE COPIES OF THE INVOICE (2 PAGES), AND PICTURES OF THE DAMAGED BRAKE LINE AND WORN AREA ON THE STEERING COLUMN. THE VEHICLE HAS 50,084 MILES ON IT.
