For some reason my caravan has started leaking gas from on top of the gas tank. not sure why, but I heard the was a recall but it was over 15 years ago so you people don't list anything older. i've only had the car a couple months, and also having a catalytic converter problem as well..
The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact attempted to turn on the headlight and became aware that the headlights were inoperable. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the front driver’s side tire detached from the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to the residence and then towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact stated that the independent mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact was provided a cost for the repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.
Several times in past year after filling the gas tank, shortly after driving away from gas station the engine misfires and stalls. This has been a safety hazard when merging into traffic. This problem is widely noted in forums on the internet for Chrysler minivans, for many other model years including the 2005. The best explanation being given (link follows) is that the vapor/liquid separator valve on top of the fuel tank has failed, a part that is not replaceable--the entire fuel tank must be replaced. ON THE EVENING OF 03/04/2021 @ 9:00PM. WHILR DRIVING HOME FROM THE GROCERY STORE DOING APPROX 35 MPH, MY VAN SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND ABILITY TO USE POWER STEERING AND USE OF BRAKES. I HAD MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME AND THEY WERE ABLE TO HELP ME GET THE VAN OUT OF THE TRAVEL LANE AND SAFELY INTO A PARKING LOT. VAN DID NOT WANT TO START AFTER CUTTING OFF THE IGNITION SWITCH AND CUTTING IT BACK ON. WHEN I RESTARTED THE VAN IT WOULDNT ACCELERATE PASSED 15MPH WITH THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR THEN IT CONSTANTLY STALLED OUT 8-10 TIMES THE LAST MILE FROM HOME.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT 35 MPH MY VAN JUST DIED OUT IN TRAFFIC N WOULD NOT RESTART. THANK GOD I WAS NOT ON INTERSTATE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER DOOR LOCKS FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WAS THE ONLY DOOR THAT COULD BE OPENED MANUALLY WITH THE KEY. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT UPON DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY, THE SYSTEM WOULD RESET AND RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED THE PROCEDURE TWICE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RESUMED SOON AFTER THE RESET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER NOR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 155,000.
THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND HAS REMAINED ON FOR WEEKS. THE CLOCK SPRING WAS REPLACED. THE WARNING LIGHT DID NOT GO OUT. THERE IS A CODE ABOUT THE AIRBAG SQUIB. NOT SURE WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON, WHETHER IT WAS DURING TRANSIT OR AT STARTUP. *TR
ON 01\02\2020, THE ABS, BRAKE, AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS DISPLAYED ON THE DASH. NOW INTO WINTER, THE VEHICLE NO LONGER HAS TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS. DIAGNOSTICS REVEAL THAT THE ABS MODULE HAS PROPER POWERS AND GROUNDS EVEN UNDER LOAD. SO FAR, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE ABS MODULE HAS A PROBLEM WITH COMMUNICATION, DIAGNOSED AT THE LOCAL INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. SO FAR THE VEHICLE IS NOT REPAIRED, AND CONTINUES TO BE OPERATED WITH THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL OUT OF OPERATION.

WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING, THE VEHICLE LOST ALL FUNCTION AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
REPEATEDLY THE VEHICLE WILL LOOSE POWER AND STALLS OUT AFTER FILLING THE TANK WITH FUEL. IT WILL OCCUR WITHIN LESS AND 1/8TH OF MILE AFTER PULLING OUT OF THE GAS STATION. THE VEHICLE HAS DONE THIS REPEATEDLY IN INOPPORTUNE SITUATIONS, LIKE TRAVELING UP A STEEP HILL AND AT A BUSY INTERSECTION. WE ARE ORIGINAL OWNERS AND HAD NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT WITH IT . IT HAS JUST UNDER 120K MILES ON IT.
AIRBAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED.... THERE IS A RECALL AFFECTING 2005 - 2006 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN / TOWN AND COUNTRY AIRBAGS ITS SAYING MY VIN HAS 0 RECALLS THIS IS FALSE DATA. MY LIGHT FLICKERS ON AND OFF AND ACCORDING TO THE BOOK IF LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED MY AIRBAGS WON'T DEPLOY THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN FOR MY FAMILY. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE USED AND THE LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT A WEEK AFTER I BOUGHT IT DURING A RAIN.
IT DOES NOT SHIFT INTO PARK. THE TRANSMISSION CABLE IS BROKEN. YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR HAD IN AND MANUALLY PARK THE VAN. BEFORE THE CABLE BROKE IT HAD TROUBLES SHIFTING AND NOW WENT WORK AT ALL.
CAR WILL STALL A FEW MINUTES AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK. IT WILL STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND WILL NOT RESTART FOR 20 MINUTES CAUSING A DANGEROUS SITUATION.
I JUST ACQUIRED THIS VEHICLE. I UNDERSTAND GAS 6 RECALLS BASED IN THE NHTSA. DOORS READ MODEL 2004. I CALLED CHRYSLER DODGE DEALER IN HEMET, CALIFORNIA AND THE SERVICE RECEPTIONIST STATED THERE IS NOTHING TO DO THAT ARE NO RECALLS FOR THIS VAN. PLEASE HELP. THE LIGHT ENGINE IS ON. THE POWER TRAIN KICKS SOMETIMES (DRAGS) SUDDENLY. AND I SEE THE 6 RECALLS APPLICABLE TO THIS MODEL
VAN LOSE POWER STEERING DURING HEAVY RAIN ONLY. I PURCHASE THIS VAN IN JUNE/JULY 2018 RECENTLY HAD POWER STEERING CHECK AND NO ISSUES FOUND. YET THIS THE FIFTH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. TODAY I WAS DRIVING IN THE RAIN TO PICKUP MY DAUGHTER FROM SCHOOL AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE WHEEL TIGHTEN UP AND I WAS UNABLE TURN. I HAD TO TURN ON MY HAZARDS LIGHT AND TURN CAR OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. AFTER LETTING VEHICLE SIT ABOUT 15 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. I REPEAT IT ONLY HAPPENS IN THE RAIN WHY I BELIEVE THERE IS A MANUFACTOR DEFECT AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, ANOTHER DRIVER TOLD US THE VAN'S TAIL LIGHT WAS SMOKING. WE PULLED AROUND A CORNER AND INTO A PARKING LOT AND FOUND THAT THE PASSENGER TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS ON FIRE WITH FLAMES LAPPING UP THE SIDE OF THE VAN. THE VAN WAS TURNED OFF AND THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. WE REMOVED THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND FOUND THAT THE INSIDE OF THE ASSEMBLY AND THE WIRING HARNESS WERE DESTROYED. THERE IS ALSO BODY DAMAGE. WE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT BULB IN THE PASSENGER SIDE BURNING OUT FREQUENTLY, AND HAD SEEN EVIDENCE OF OVERHEATING AND SOME MELTING IN THE BRAKE LIGHT CONNECTOR SOCKET IN ABOUT 2010. ALTHOUGH THE LIGHTS BURN OUT FREQUENTLY, THE MELTING HAD NOT GOTTEN WORSE SINCE THEN. THE DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT HAS NEVER EXHIBITED A PROBLEM LIKE THIS. AT THIS TIME IT IS UNKNOWN IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR FAULT IN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM BEYOND THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF OBVIOUS DAMAGES IS APPROXIMATELY $1,000 TO $1,500 WITH REPAINTING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR OPENED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY BY DEPRESSING THE SLIDING DOOR BUTTON; HOWEVER, IT FAILED TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THE CONTACT HAD TO CLOSE THE DOOR MANUALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TITUSVILLE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (5600 U.S. 1, TITUSVILLE, FL 32780, (321) 268-8970) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING IN THE FRONT. REPLACED BULBS MULTI FUNTION SWITCH AND LIGHT BULD SOCKETS AND STILL DONT WORK
I HAVE A FUEL LEAK UNDERNEATH FROM THE TOP OF FUEL TANK. I BELIEVE IT IS COMING FROM THE FUEL PUMP. LEAKS WHEN ENGINE IS RUNNING ONLY. DOES NOT LEAK WHEN AUTO IS NOT RUNNING.

MY AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND I DON'T KNOW IF THE SENSORS WERE RECALLED ON MY VAN
THE WIRING INSIDE OF THE POWER SLIDING DOOR CAUGHT FIRE WITH OUT BEING USED. IT WAS THE DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE VEHICLE HAD JUST BEEN DRIVEN AND PARKED FOR APPROX 10 MIN WHEN THE FIRE WAS NOTICED DUE TO THE SMELL.

I REAR ENDED A VEHICLE AND NO AIR BAGS WERE INFLATED. I JUST BOUGHT THE VEHICLE FROM A PRIVATE OWNER. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 25 MPH WHEN TRAFFIC STOPPED IMMEDIATELY. I HIT MY BRAKES BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH. THE VEHICLE I HIT HAD NO DAMAGE. I HAVE A BROKEN BUMPER AND BENT HOOD.

THE ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK THE DOORS WAS MANUALLY WITH THE KEY. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERIES IN THE FOB, BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE REAR SLIDING DOOR DID NOT OPEN, EVEN MANUALLY WITH A KEY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER BUT THERE WAS A FEE FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 205,000.
IN 2013, THE AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS DRIVING. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER, WHICH THEY REPLACED. TWO YEARS LATER, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AS I WAS DRIVING AND I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER AGAIN AND THEY REPLACED IT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN IN 2016 AND THEY CLEANED IT OUT. ON MARCH 4, 2017, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE SEAT BELT TENSIONER AGAIN. AS OF MARCH 5TH, THE LIGHT NO LONGER COMES ON. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN ON THE FRONT CRASH SENSOR IN 2010 (NTSA CAMPAIGN ID 10V008000). I WAS TOLD PREVIOUSLY THAT MY VIN NUMBER WAS AFFECTED. HOWEVER, I'M BEGINNING TO WONDER IF THAT'S NOT THE CASE.
AIRBAG LIGHT JUST CAME ON.FLASHES INTERMITTINGLY ,SOMETIMES WHEN BRAKING, SOMETIMES WHEN ACCELERATING.FROM MY RESEARCH,IT SEEMS LIKE THE CLOCK SPRING IS DEFECTIVE.MY MILEAGE IS 150,000 MILES. HAVE FUEL SMELL AT BACK MIDDLE OF VAN, FOUND FUEL LEAKING AT MIDDLE OF FUEL TANK, REPLACED FUEL LINE CONNECTED TO FUEL PUMP OUTPUT CONNECTOR. DID NOT STOP FUEL LEAK, FOUND CRACKED FUEL PUMP AT THE OUTPUT AREA. LEAKS AS LONG AS THE HIGH PRESSURE SIDE OF FUEL PUMP IS PRESSURIZED.
THE HEAD LIGHTS GO OUT WHILE DRIVING. NO WARNING SIGNS, YOU LOSE ALL HEADLIGHTS. IF THE SWITCH IS TURNED ON AND OFF SEVERAL TIMES THEY WILL COME BACK ON. MY LIGHTS WENT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN A COUNTY HIGHWAY GOING 55 MPH. THERE WERE NO STREET LIGHTS. IT HAPPENED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES ON MY 40 MINUTE DRIVE HOME THROUGH THE COUNTRY. VERY SCARY!
2205 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN STALLS AFTER REFUELING. MULTIPLE OCCURENCES. HAPPENS IN MOTION STRAIGHT LINE, WHILE ACCELERATING.
NOTICED GASOLINE SMELL EVERY TIME I STOP/PARK CAR & GET OUT. AFTER FEW WEEKS, CHECKED UNDERNEATH VAN & SAW GAS SLOWLY DRIPPING FROM ABOUT MIDDLE OF GAS TANK. IT WAS RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE FROMN THE TOP OF TANK. STOPPED DRIPPIONG AFTER STOPPED FOR FEW MINUTES, BUT FOUND OUT THAT WHILE VAN WAS RUNNING IT DRIPPED CONSTANTLY. GOOGLED THIS PROBLEM & OTHER ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH CRACKS IN FUEL PUMP. THIS COULD BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH A SPARK/HOT EXHAUST PIPE/MUFFLER CLOSE BY.
EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE VEHICLE WITH GAS, IT STALLS EVERY TIME WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES, LAST WEEK DAUGHTER WAS MERGING INTO TRAFFIC WHEN IT HAPPENED AND ALMOST GOT REAR-ENDED. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE NOW. LAST WINTER I WASN'T ABLE TO FILL THE VEHICLE, THE PUMP KEPT SHUTTING DOWN BUT THAT WENT AWAY AFTER THE WEATHER WARMED UP.
THERE IS A DOCUMENTED DEFECT IN THE FRONT AIRBAG SENSORS THAT RESULTED IN A CHRYSLER "SAFETY IMPROVEMENT" CAMPAIGN LIMITED TO MAINLY NORTHERN STATES. MY CAR HAS THIS PROBLEM BUT HAS BEEN IN FLORIDA FOR ITS WHOLE LIFE. CLEARLY THEY RECOGNIZE THAT THERE IS A DEFECT IN THIS PART BUT WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL FOR FLORIDA-BASED CARS. CAN YOU MAKE THEM EXPAND THIS RECALL TO ALL 2005 DODGE CARAVANS SINCE IT IS A CLEAR DANGER THAT THEY ARE NOT FULLY RESPONDING TO.ATTACHED IS WHAT I FOUND ON THE INTERNET. CHRYSLER REFERRED ME TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO WILL CHARGE ME FOR THE REPAIR IF CHRYSLER DOESN'T PAY FOR IT AND THEY HAVE MADE NO COMMITMENT TO PAY IF THE DEFECT TURNS OUT TO BE WHAT THEY HAVE RECALLED OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL FOR. THE CHRYSLER CASE NUMBER IS 29905594 GIVEN THE SIGNIFICANT SAFETY RISK OF THIS DEFECTIVE PART CAN YOU EXPAND THIS FROM A SAFETY CAMPAIGN TO A FULL RECALL FOR ALL CARS OF THIS MODEL YEAR.
2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN STALLS AFTER REFUELING. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS WHEN THE FUEL TANK GETS LOW AND THEN REFILLED. MOST OF THE TIME THE STALL HAPPENS SHORTLY AFTER REFILLING AND I COME TO A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. THERE HAVE BEEN FEW OCCASIONS WHERE THE CARAVAN HAS STALLED WHILE IN MOTION WHILE TRAVEL UNDER 20 MPH. I CAN USUALLY RESTART THE CARAVAN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE STALL. THE ONLY SOLUTION FROM ONLINE FORUMS SEEMS TO BE TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK AND PURGE THE VALVE AND CHARCOAL CANISTER OF ANY RAW FUEL. SEEMS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM WITHIN SIMILAR MODELS.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHILE IN MOTION AT 35 MILES PER HOUR IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS ON A DRY, 4 LANE STREET, WHEREAS A TRUCK RAN A STOP ON 5/6/2016. MY VEHICLE FRONTEND TRAVELING STRAIGHT ON A LEVEL SURFACE, 4 LANE STREET & STRUCK THE OTHER VEHICLE CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO BE TOTALED. I WAS WEARING MY SEATBELT & SUFFERED LOWER BACK, NECK & LEFT PHEMUR INJURIES. I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR EMERGENCY CARE. SINCE FEBRUARY 2016 I WROTE LETTERS TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP WHOM DOLD ME THIS VEHICLE & NO RESPONSE.

TRIED TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN USING THE BRAKE PEDAL WHICH WOULD NOT ENGAGE OR PRESS DOWN. CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE FASTER. CONTINUED TO TRY TO BREAK THE CAR AND SLOW DOWN. BRAKES DID NOT RESPOND. TRIED TO CHANGE THE GEAR TO NEUTRAL OR PARK. CAR KEPT ACCELERATING. PULLED OFF THE ROAD INTO THE CURB AND THROUGH A FENCE. AS THE CAR WAS APPROACHING THE BUILDING AT HIGH SPEED. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND IT CONTINUED INTO A CONCRETE BLOCK COMMERCIAL BUILDING AND BOUNCED BACK ABOUT 15-20 FEET AND STOPPED AT THAT POINT. FRONT-END DAMAGE TO THE CAR. KNOCKED CONCRETE BLOCK WALL AND DOOR DOWN. BLESSED TO BE ALIVE. CAR WAS TOTALED. ALSO, THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. POLICE SAID THAT THE THROTTLE MUST HAVE BEEN STUCK OPEN.
THE LEFT SIDE RUNNING LIGHTS ARE NOT LIGHTING WHEN THE HEADLIGHT IS TURNED ON. THE RIGHT SIDE WORKS. THE LEFT SIDE BLINKER AND BRAKE LIGHT WORKS WHICH INDICATES THE BULBS ARE GOOD BUT WILL NOT LIGHT WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED ON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. AFTER REFUELING THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE STARTED AND STALLED. THE OIL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
RECALL
THE AIR BAG LIGHT STAYS LIT AND WONT TURN OFF. RESET BATTERY AND LIGHTS STILL STAY ON. THE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN THE VAN WAS IN THE PARKED POSITION.
EVERYTIME THE VAN IS REFUELED, IT WILL STALL ON ACCELERATION. THIS OCCURS FOR THE FIRST FEW MINUTES AFTER REFUEL AND THEN THE VAN RETURNS TO NORMAL OPERATION. THE PROBLEM IS THE FAILURE USUALLY OCCURS WHEN PULL OUT ON THE ROAD BECAUSE THAT IS THE FIRST POINT OF ACCELERATION.
ENGINE SPUTTERS OR STALLS SHORTLY AFTER FILLING THE TANK. IT TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN TAKING OFF AT ONE OF THE FIRST INTERSECTIONS AFTER FILLING THE TANK. IT PUT ME IN DANGER, BECAUSE IT STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIME IN 2015. THE DATE BELOW IS APPROXIMATE FOR THE TIME THE VAN WAS LAST FILLED UP.
LAST NIGHT - FOR THE 4TH TIME NOW - AFTER FILLING THE TANK AT THE GAS STATION, MY CAR JUST DIED. THE FIRST 3 TIMES IT WAS WHEN I STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN LEAVING THE GAS STATION PARKING LOT. LAST NIGHT, IT WAS AFTER I WAS OUT ON THE MAIN ROAD AND IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. IT WAS STOP AND GO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, SO I WAS THANKFULLY ONLY GOING APPROX 15-20 MILES AN HOUR. POWER STEERING WAS LOST, BRAKES WERE PRACTICALLY NON EXISTENT. BARELY MANAGED TO PULL OFF INTO A PARKING LOT AND WAS ABLE TO SET THE PARKING BRAKE TO FINISH STOPPING. ONCE STOPPED AND IN PARK, WAS ABLE TO START IT RIGHT BACK UP. EVERY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IT HAS BEEN RIGHT AFTER FUELING UP. I NEVER THOUGHT MUCH ABOUT IT THE OTHER 3 TIMES, BUT THIS TIME WAS DIFFERENT, AND VERY DANGEROUS. I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND BECAUSE I INSTANTLY LOST POWER, THEN I ALMOST HIT ANOTHER CAR TO MY LEFT BECAUSE OF THE UNEXPECTED LOSS OF POWER STEERING. I COULD HARDLY MANAGE TO GET INTO THE PARKING LOT AND ALMOST HIT THE CURB/SIGN/ANOTHER CAR. WAS SCARED TO DRIVE HOME THE REST OF THE WAY. NOW AFTER READING THE OTHER POSTS HERE, I'M AFRAID TO EVER GET GAS AGAIN!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE DODGE...YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS. WELL, THIS IS ONE CUSTOMER YOU WILL NEVER HAVE AGAIN. I'M IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW CAR, AND GUESS WHAT WILL NOT BE SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY EVER AGAIN?
HE'S LIGHTS FLICKER WHILE DRIVING, WHICH MAKES NIGHT DRIVING DANGEROUS TO THE THE ANNOYANCE OF LIGHTS FLICKERING AND DIMMING. THE DASH LIGHTS ARE ALSO FLICKERING.
