WITH AS IMPORTANT AS THIS RECALL IS, I'M CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY, AND WOULD LIKE THIS RESOLVED SOON. WE HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THE LARRY H. MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM AT 1800 W 104TH AVE, DENVER, CO 80234. I CALLED THEIR PARTS DEPARTMENT ONCE TO ASK IF I COULD GO IN AND PAY FOR A NEW FOB REPLACEMENT AND THEY SAID YES, THEY HAD STOCK FOR THAT - BUT SOMEHOW THEY DON'T HAVE STOCK TO TAKE CARE OF THE RECALL... SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OPENS AT RANDOM TIMES. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I AM NOT EVEN NEAR THE VEHICLE AND WILL COME OUT OF A STORE AND MY SLIDING DOOR IS WIDE OPEN, OR I WILL BE IN THE HOUSE AND COME OUT HOURS AFTER LOCKING THE CAR AND THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN.
WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE RECALL R03/NHTSA 14V-373 ACCORDING TO THE RECALL NOTICE, MY VAN MAY SUDDENLY TURN ITSELF OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING. I HAVE REGISTERED FOR SERVICE AND BEEN ON THE WAITING LIST FOR PARTS FOR SIX MONTHS. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT SENDING THE PARTS AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE PARTS MAY BECOME AVAILABLE. I HAVE NOT YET BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT CAUSED BY THIS RECALLED PART (WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE).
I HAVE CONTACTED LITHIA TO REPLACE THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THEY WILL CALL ME AND I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM. MY IGNITION GETS STUCK AND NONE OF THE ELECTRONICS WORK.
GASOLINE OVERFLOW WHEN FILLING UP. LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH DODGE DURANGOS AND MINI VANS HAVE THIS PROBLEM. IT SEEMS DANGEROUS THAT WHEN FILLING UP FOR GAS, IT OVERFILLS AND SHOOTS OUT GASOLINE. VERY COMMON - TOO BAD NO RECALLS FOR ALL OF THE VEHICLES NOT JUST A FEW MODEL YEARS OR MAKES, WHICH HAVE THIS RECALL. AFFECTS MORE THAN JUST A FEW YEARS/MAKES.

I WAS INFORMED IN APPROXIMATELY 2013 OR 2014 OF A SAFETY RECALL REGARDING THE WIRELESS IGNITION MODULE AND KEY FOB. I RECEIVED ADDITIONAL NOTIFICATION THAT PARTS WERE READY IN EARLY 2015 REGARDING THIS RECALL. I HAVE TRIED TO SCHEDULE SERVICE FOR THIS RECALL WITH THREE SEPARATE DEALERS NUMEROUS TIMES. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS UNKNOWN WHEN PARTS WILL BE READY. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE TURN OFF DUE TO THIS ISSUE. THE DODGE PAPERWORK STATES THEY ARE CONCERNED WITH MY SAFETY. AND THE RECALL SHOULD BE COMPLETE IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. IT HAS NOW BEEN YEARS SINCE NOTIFICATION, AND NEARLY A YEAR SINCE PARTS HAVE BEEN "READY" AND THE RECALL STILL ISN'T COMPLETE. ACCORDING TO DODGE STATISTICS, AS OF OCT 26, 2015, ONLY 192,616 OF 724,503 VEHICLES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. THIS IS NOT IN A REASONABLE TIME AND I FEEL AS IF DODGE IS SLOW ROLLING THIS RECALL TO SAVE THEMSELVES MONEY. THIS RECALL IS SIMILAR TO A 2010 RECALL.
THE INSTRUMENT PANEL RANDOMLY LIGHTS UP WITH ALL WARNING LIGHTS AND CHIMES GOING OFF SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ACTIVATING AND HEADLIGHTS FLASHING. STOPPING THE CAR, TURNING IT OFF AND ON DOESN'T RESET THE PROBLEM, BUT IT RANDOMLY GOES AWAY AND DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN FOR TWO WEEKS OR A MONTH. IT HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED OR IN MOTION, WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING. I SEE AN OPEN NHTSA INVESTIGATION MATCHING THIS ON MY VEHICLE, FOR A TIPMODULE

THERE WAS A RECALL FOR WIN MODULE ON MY VEHICLE. NHTSA NUMBER 14V-373. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THEY WERE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND WHEN IT WAS FINISHED I NOTICED ON THE INVOICE THAT THEY HAD DONE THE RECALL. THE PROBLEM IS THEY COULD NOT HAVE PERFORMED THE RECALL BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE BOTH FOBIKS. I ASKED THE SERVICE MANAGER ABOUT THIS AND AGREED THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE FOBIKS THEN HE STARTED TO DOUBLE TALK AND SAID I WAS BETTER OFF BECAUSE THE NEW FOBIKS DID NOT HAVE ALL THE BUTTONS THAT MINE HAD. I DO NOT BELIEVE THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED! I BELIEVE THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR A DEALER TO TELL A CUSTOMER THAT A RECALL HAS BEEN COMPLETED WHEN IN FACT IT HAS NOT.

I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN MANY TIMES FOR HORN BLOWING, WIPERS AND WASHERS GOING, ALL LIGHTS GOING OFF AT NIGHT ( I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED) BLOWER NOT WORKING, CAR NOT STARTING, DOORS NOT CLOSING. IT HAS COST ME SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS IN REPAIRS AND THE LAST TIME I WAS TOLD THE TIPM COMPUTER WOULD FIX EVERYTHING. THE CAR COMPUTER WAS ALREADY REPLACED. THE CAR WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60MPH AND ALSO AT STOP LIGHTS. THIS ALL HAPPENED OVER SEVERAL YEARS.
WHILE DRIVING AROUND 45 MPH ON SOUTHBOUND GA125, THE WATER TEMPERATURE STARTED TO FLUCTUATE AND I SMELLED ANTIFREEZE BURNING. I STOPPED AT A GAS STATION AND STEAM ROSE FROM HOOD. UNDER THE HOOD, FLUID HAD SPRAYED FROM THE HEATER HOSE "Y-PIPE". ANTIFREEZE SATURATED THE UNDER-HOOD BLANKET AND COVERED THE ENGINE. ALL OF THE ANTIFREEZE WAS PURGED ONTO THE GROUND AND IN THE ENGINE BAY. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THIS EXACT PART. THE FIRST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS ABOUT 3 YEARS OLD (2011) I HAD IT REPLACED AT MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP (CASS BURCH VALDOSTA, GEORGIA) TODAY THE SAME PART FAILED IN THE EXACT SAME MANNER. PLEASE INVESTIGATE A MANUFACTURER'S RECALL, OR AT LEAST A BETTER QUALITY REPLACEMENT PART. PLASTIC AND HOT FLUID APPARENTLY DON'T MIX.

I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE R03/NHTSA 14V-373 OVER A YEAR AGO. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP IN ITHACA, NY, AS MY VEHICLE HAD HAD THIS PROBLEM (ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING) MANY TIMES. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD ORDER THE PARTS AND GET BACK TO ME AND THAT IS MIGHT BE A "FEW MONTHS". OVER A YEAR LATER NOT A WORD. MY HUSBAND CONTACTED A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP IN AUBURN, NY SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. STILL HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN THAT REGULARLY RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE AND HAVING THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING 55 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND YOU LOSE YOUR POWER STEERING IS A LITTLE UNNERVING TO SAY THE LEAST. SEEMS LIKE THE RECALL IS A FARCE AND NO ONE IS ACTUALLY GETTING THE REPAIR.

THIS WAS ISSUED IN OCTOBER, 2014; I RECEIVED THE NOTICE SOME MONTHS LATER. DESPITE SEVERAL CALLS TO MY LOCAL DODGE CHRYSLER DEALER, I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO HAVE THIS SAFETY HAZARD REPAIRED. EVERY CALL TO RAIRDON'S CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF BELLINGHAM, WA HAS RESULTED IN THE SAME ANSWER: "WE DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AND HAVE NO IDEA WHEN WE WILL GET THEM." HAD LIGHTS NEXT DAY (AGAIN NO REPAIR) . THE LIGHTS FAIL INTERMITTENTLY AND NON-PREDICTABLE. DEALER DOES NOT KNOW CAUSE OF FAILURE SINCE THE PROBLEM RESOLVES ITSELF BEFORE THEY SEE THE VEHICLE.
VEHICLE RANDOMLY HAS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. LIGHTS FLICKER OFF AND ON, WIPERS START WITHOUT PROMPTING, DASH LIGHTS FLASH AND RPM LEVER GOES CRAZY.

THE PASSENGER POWER SLIDING DOOR ON MY VEHICLE HAS OPENED ON ITS OWN ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS WHEN IN MOTION. THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS KEEP THE DOOR FROM OPENING AT HIGH VELOCITY, BUT UNTIL THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS TURN ON THE DOOR CAN OPEN UNLESS I MANUALLY LOCK THE DOOR. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE DOOR NOT BEING ABLE TO CLOSE AT ALL, AND I HAVE TO MANUALLY CLOSE THE DOOR.

WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS DASH LIGHT AND WIPER ISSUES. 1) MANY DASH LIGHTS STAYED ON AFTER START AND WHILE DRIVING. ABS, TC, AIRBAG, OTHERS. DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED BATTERY AND ISSUE WENT AWAY. 2) STARTED VAN AND DASH LIGHTS STAYED ON AND WIPER STARTED GOING WITH THE SWITCH OFF. PROBLEM HAPPENED 3 TIMES WHEN STARTING VAN AND THEN IT WENT AWAY. 3) STARTED VAN - DASH LIGHTS STAYED ON. WHILE DRIVING THE ABS DID NOT SEEM TO WORK. DROVE HOME. RESTARTED THE VAN. PROBLEM DISAPPEARED. ABS SEEMS TO BE WORKING. WE DID NOT HAVE THESE TYPES OF PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY REPLACED THE WIN IN JUNE 2015. THIS WAS L25/R03 RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS TO THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V351000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO PERMANENT REMEDY FOR THE CONDITION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
