The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The contact stated that the failure was a persistent failure. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed WIN switch module. the driver side window components made lots of noise then the window fell down into the door causing me to need a motel and find a window repair shop as I was traveling from NY to Georgia when this happened, the resulting bills were close to $1000. yes it is available for inspection I am [XXX] was [XXX] and this $ issue is very simply a terrible burden to my life, luckily I had a credit card with me that I could use but paying that balance will be a time consuming endeavor on the little I live on financially. the component was inspected by the glass repair shop as it was being torn apart to be fixed. no warnings were provided only horrible noise from the door just before the window dropped the next time I went to use it. The last Dodge Grand caravan I owned was a 2005 and I had it 6 years with minimal expense so when I found this one, a 2010 with no power doors it was ideal for me financially or so I thought, has caused considerable problems in my financial life and now I am too scared to go back to NY with it for fear of the other windows breaking. I got a motel room because a storm was impending, called window repair shops in Chambersburg va, the second one I called said bring it over, it was the weekend before July 4th of 2025 and I was very lucky to get the help as the shop owner was leaving for a week vacay soon, they ordered the part from the nearby dealership, but it cost me $583. for the part plus repair, truly devastating. The ignition lock cylinder is giving out and has on numerous occasions left me my wife and my [XXX] and [XXX] stranded in random places in the cold. When I did the research I found that 2010 dodge grand caravans has a recall for this part do to a faulty node. How I know it’s the ignition lock cylinder is the key gets stuck in the ignition and won’t start the car or any electrical stuff like the odometer to light up or any other electronic stuff. Front passenger seat headrest deployed for no apparent reason at all . This is a severe safety hazard that can result in severe injury or death as there are sharp parts that could pierce into the passengers head . I have had no help from Chrysler Dodge . I have emailed 3 times with no response and also called several times and they say there is no recall for my vin and warranty is expired . This not a warranty issue , this is a safety concern that could cause severe injury or death and needs to be corrected immediately. I have not had any warnings it just popped off for no apparent reason . No police or insurance representative were necessary there was no accident at the time of this incident .

The win modules failed, engine shut off while driving. Yes. Not been inspected. No warnings
When you are driving all of a sudden it just won't go forward and it has slipped into neutral. You have to find a place to coast so you can shut it off and restart it then it will go again. You never know when it's going to do it so it's very dangerous because there is not always a place to pull over. I have to put my flashers on and hope everyone goes around. I took it to repair place and they were unfamiliar with this happening. It does this from 1 to 4 times a day.
While driving, rear driver side sliding door opened and continues to do so.
Without warning the car completely shuts off. This is very dangerous because it happened on the freeway (luckily the cars slowed down behind me). It is intermittent and two different mechanics have not been able to detect the problem. Was there a recall on this issue? What can be done to make this vehicle safer to operate. This has been going on for about 2 years.
The ignition switch is faulty and extremely dangerous. The module that is defective is called the WIN module or Wireless Ignition Node module. Over 1 million dodge and Chrysler cars between 2008 and 2010 were recalled for this issue but when I called the local dealer for my 2010, they claim my car does not have the issue. I had the same exact issue with my 2008 and it also was claimed not to be covered which cost me over $600 to repair. What is the issue? Well, the car will spontaneously turn off while driving and or go into the accessory mode. This is extremely problematic because it is happening at random and is unexpected. In addition, the key then requires the driver to force it into the hole using extreme pressure to get it re-started. I feel that not enough of these were recalled as I have the exact problem (twice now on both my Vans) as described in R03 / NHTSA 14V-373. Since I keep my cars longer than most, this it seems entirely possible that the issue shows up later as the car ages. Incident can be re-produced at will with slight manipulation and happens at least once per week without trying to force the issue.
Was going to pick a friend up from the airport, stopped at the gas station because the van suddenly started handling funny, and noticed 4 wheel studs were sheared off. Had to tow the vehicle to the shop.
Was hit in the side and in my Dodge minivan the side curtain airbags never deployed. The van was a total loss so was the car that hit me and his airbag did deploy. I did injure my lower back and shoulder.

Drivers side sliding door locked closed cannot open.
Many 2010 Dodge Grand Caravans were covered under a recall for a failed WIN module (NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000) in which the key can move to the off or accessory positions. Though our Grand Caravan is not covered, our WIN module has failed in the same manner as those covered in the recall. The van and WIN module was inspected and diagnosed by our local Chrysler, Dodge dealership. Keys have been loose in the WIN module and indicator lights related to the failure of the WIN module come on intermittently due to the electrical issue caused by the failed WIN module.
We've had two separate incidents a few months apart where a tire suddenly feel off the vehicle. In both instances, the studs had been sheared off. Then, last week, a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country lost a wheel that hit my house. I checked the vehicle, and the studs were sheared off that one as well. Google turns up a studs recall for the 2012-2021, but that recall doesn't go far enough back.
At approximately 70 MPH on the highway, a loud thumping noise was heard near the passenger rear area. Vehicle was rocking back and forth and became very unstable to drive safely. Tire pressure was checked and confirmed to be at 38 PSI. However, upon observation, the tire was shaped into a oval with a marked bulge in the tread on one side of the tire. 225/65 R16 SL
I took my vehicle in for a alignment today at Mavis Tire and was told as follows. The real axel is at .35 and it is supposed to be at .05. The mechanic said this is the reason that my tires keep wearing out on the back end of my vehicle. He also stated that he tried to fix the problem but was unable to. He stated that he was unsure why it is like that because it is not supposed to be.
When I’m driving my blinkers and windshield wipers turn on and off randomly and the stereo shuts off ac quits working and the windows lock and can’t be rolled down and when I’m at idle it has very loud ticking noise coming from dash board I think it’s the middle area behind stereo this happens multiple times a day and some days it doesn’t stop till vehicle is turned off and I’ve also noticed that hitting bump in road seem to make the issues worse all of the above mentioned happens together at same time

While driving power would shut off, everything shuts down for 2 seconds, and then goes back on. Does this sometimes 10 times within 15 minutes of driving. Then twice already after buying new battery (I thought it needed one because it would not even crank, had all lights, etc. But wouldn't start) it would not start till after 8 attempts, would start right up and drive with no issues. I searched online with people having same exact issues. I called Dodge and they said my van did not have a recall. I don't understand why if my van is having same issues.
When driving down the highway, the engine may randomly turn off. Turning the key will usually turn the engine back on. When this occurs, all power to the vehicle is turned off until it is restored by moving the key. It is obviously a faulty ignition switch, but apparently there is no current recall for this problem for my vehicle. Other 2010 Grand Caravans have been recalled and repaired due to this problem in the past, but not mine. This issue should be addressed by FCA immediately!

When attempting to start the vehicle, ignition key inadvertently moves into the "Off" position, turning the engine off suddenly. If this safety issue occured while driving, it would depower various key systems including the airbags, power steering, and power braking. In the event of a crash following an accidental rotation of the key, the airbags would fail to deploy causing serious injury or death. The dealership is aware of this problem now and confirms this is a significant safety issue, but that their hands are tied unless Crystler helps. L25 is the known safety recall for the 2010 Dodge Grand Caravans- build dates 3months less than ours- July 2010 verses Oct. 2010. With our Dodge experiencing the same issue and safety concerns as the recalled ones, we then called Crystler at (800) 853-1403 to report the issue and advocate for the repair and/or extension of the recall. An employee named Myah said "there's nothing we can do b/c recall is VIN specific and doesn't show yours as being recalled for this issue". I asked to speak with a supervisor to further discuss how to get the recall extended to our VIN, as the same safety issue is occuring, and the rep was very dismissive and told me "they were sorry they could not help and "no one is available at this time". I told her I didn't mind waiting on hold so the issue could be properly reported and addressed with a supervisor. She put me on hold again and then said "a supervisor can call you when they are available", but then she did not even ask for my phone number. I do not trust that she was acting in our best interest and feel she was being negligant. No one has called back. Please help. We are writing to #1) inform you of this safety issue #2) inform you of the known recall to address this safety issue- does not currently extend to our manufacture month #3) report Crystlers negligence in responding to this safety issue #4) to respectfully request a safety investigation should our VIN not be added to this
Interior panel lights will dim and flicker, headlights dim, radio will lose power, cabin fans for air conditioning will slow then the engine dies. This can happen while idling or driving at highway speeds without warning. When the engine dies all power steering is lost and braking and control is extremely difficult. After stopping the gear shift will not move into park and the key will not move to the off position for several minutes. Diagnosis narrowed this down to the TIPM. It was replaced and the issue stopped for 6 months then reoccurred. TIPM replacement again fixed the issue. Obviously the TIPM's have a defect and has been widely reported. Major issue is that only remanufactured TIPMS are available from the same defective build. Dealer charges over $1000 for the part and more to install it. There should be a class action lawsuit on this obvious dangerous defect that has not been addressed by Dodge.
The engine shut off while driving. This has happened with my wife and myself over 20 times. I can shift it into neutral and restart the car. Sometimes it takes 2-3 times to start the car (again). One time I was going down a hill on a curve about 30mph and it shut down. I could barely turn the steering wheel manually to prevent me crossing the double yellow lines into another car. This could be very dangerous! I have not gotten around to taking it to a dealer 60 miles away. My car has not been inspected by anyone yet. There were no warning lights or messages or any other symptoms of the problem prior to the failures.

The contact was able to pull over to the side of the roadway. The contact waited for the engine to cool down and then restarted the vehicle. The vehicle then started operating normally. Ignition switch would not turn off completely, key could not be removed. Ignition switch in this position disables shifter, too. Can't shift gears or get out of park without lifting hood and disconnecting shift cable from transmission. Once you stop and shift to park, say to check a tire, your car is immobilized leaving you at the mercy of traffic, thieves, and vandals Changing module behind switch said to cost $900, but when changed old key will not work, $200 for one new key, then Shifter needs to be replaced $850. So ~$1950 to fix, all the fault of anti-theft system which turns out to be a thief itself to the owner; this is the 4th anti theft system I've had fail in the last 12 years, all were >$500 repairs. I think the benefactors of these systems, the insurance companies, ought to be responsible for keeping them working, otherwise they are just shifting the burden to the vehicle owners, making the insurance companies the defacto thieves.
The ignition switch will just randomly cut off when driving. If you bump the keys, or hit a pothole or a bump in the road the ignition will kill the car. There was a recall for this type of problem on these vehicles in the past however my car was not included even though it has the same problem. No warning just dies, pulling into traffic, driving, turning it does this every day. It doesn't matter, it is scary to drive because you could get hit so easily if your car just turns off. Also when cranking it it will sometimes get stuck on the starting position and makes a crazy sound because it's stuck, please please please expand the recall to include my vehicle.
There was no warning. The vehicle just shut off. I replaced the battery and had alternator checked it is fine. If I drive on a side road or hit a bump in the road, the van shuts off. I have no brakes or steering. I called the recall number and they said it is not on the recall list. My van was made in 09/2009. Maybe there are others not on list. I just bought the vehicle, maybe that is why they sold it. Please help me.

The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed however, the brakes failed to operate causing the vehicle to rear-end another vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The passenger-side airbag deployed upon impact; however, the driver’s side air bag failed to deploy causing the contact to impact the steering wheel. The contact was taken from the scene to a hospital and was treated for bruising to both knees and head. No other injuries were reported from the accident. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was deemed a total loss. A VIN search showed there were two open recalls on the vehicle; NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V234000 (Electrical System) and 20V396000 (Air Bags, Steering). The dealer nor the manufacturer had been notified of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 220,000.
Passenger side rear sliding door lock actuator makes a grinding or buzzing noise when unlocking and does not lock, when door lock is pressed.

The engine on my 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT turned off while driving down the road. This has happened over 5 times in the past 2 weeks. In these several incidents, the vehicle was warmed up and was travelling anywhere between 20 mph and 45 mph when the engine just completely shut off, which forced me to coast to a stop, sometimes in traffic. The engine could then be restarted with no issues. This vehicle has been serviced for Recall 14V-373 (regarding a faulty electronic ignition switch that could cause the vehicle to shut off without warning), but the problem described in Recall 14V-373 seems to be recurring.
The engine stops running while driving, leaving you in the middle of driving, unable to turn or drive safely. You have to put it into drive and restart the car. It happens without notice while driving, and you must restart multiple times during a trip to work or wherever you're going.
Left passenger door can't be locked. Car was burgled.
Engine has shut off while driving, van 2010 dodge purchased used from dealership @ 98,000 miles less then a yr ago. While driving dinging noise can be heard all gages go crazy and all lights come on from dashboard. This has occurred many times, my biggest fear is causing an accident while my children are with me. Van was taken in for service at local dealership, after a week I was told that there was no issue with the van. The frustrating part is this problem is not constant, and I can go weeks without any problems. Two days after pick from dealership problems started up again. Maybe a second trip to the dealership will give me some answers. I shouldn't be afraid to drive my van, but every time I get behind the wheel that is what if feel. This single mom can't afford to replace the van
WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, THE CAR ENGINE CUTS OFF AND THE STEERING GOES RIGID AND DIFFICULT TO STEER A I GLIDE AND PULL THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS HAS HAPPENED PROBABLY 30 TIMES OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS. TWICE (WHEN THE CAR WAS ONLY A YEAR OR SO OLD) THE SHIFTING HAS JUST SLID OUT OF PLACE INTO ANOTHER GEAR BY ITSELF. THIS IS SO SO SO DANGEROUS. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN TO A MECHANIC SEVERAL TIMES. THEY HAVE "FIXED"ISSUES TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT I SPEND MONEY ON"FIXES" THAT DO NOT RESOLVE THIS TERRIBLY FRIGHTENING PROBLEM.

WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY OR IN A HIGHWAY ALL LIGHTS AND ENGINE STOPS ALSO THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE BREAKS HARDING YOU HARDLY STEER IT TO THE SIDE ROAD TO STOP THE VEHICLE AFTER FEW YARDS DEPENDS ON THE VEHICLE SPEED. WE ERE LUCKY NO BODY WAS BEHIND US IN MANY OCCASIONS, I HAD THIS ISSUE A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT USED FROM A DEALER AND THEY TOLD IT IS FIXED, AND NOW IT IS BACK, I COINSIDER IT DANGER TO ME AND TO OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD.
