2010 GRAND CARAVAN SE, BOUGHT 100000 MILES THE FIRST WEEK OF DRIVING HEADLIGHTS WOULD GO OFF WHILE DRIVING WORKED THEW SWITCH AND CAME BACK ON GOT ME HOME NOW NOT WORKING AT ALL. I HAVE READ MANY MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS ON GOING PROBLEM BOTH ON THIS WEBSITE AND IN OTHER FORUMS. IM STUNNED THAT NTHSA WILL RECALL A VEHICLE FOR AN EMBLEM COMIONG LOOSE ON AN AIRBAG COVER BUT WITH A SERIOUS SAFTEY ISSUE, LIFE OR DEATH AT NIGHT ON A DARK ROAD THERE IS NO RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING CAR IT SHUTS OFF. IT HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES UP TO 3 TIMES A DAY. I LOSE ALL POWER STEERING, BRAKES ECT.
IGNITION SWITCH ISSUES , DRIVING THE CAR AND THE SWITCH CUTS OFF ENGINE AND CAR SHUTS OFF , HAS BEEN DOING THIS SEVERAL TIMES , CONTACTED THE LOCAL DEALER AFTER BEING TOLD BY A MECHANIC THAT THERE IS A RECALL AND THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT ITS NOT COVERED AND NO RECALL

THE CONTACT CALLED FEDERICO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1875 E EDWARDSVILLE RD, WOOD RIVER, IL 62095) WHERE HE WAS PROVIDED A DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

Sometimes the contact had to attempt to restart the vehicle several times. The contact contacted the dealer who confirmed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V139000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 131,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED MAGUIRE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF SYRACUSE (959 HIAWATHA BLVD W, SYRACUSE, NY 13204) AND INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED WAS TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS PREVIOUSLY REPLACED UNDER RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO A DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HE HAD REPLACED THE DRIVEBELT AND THE TENSIONER PULLEY DUE TO THE DRIVEBELT SLIPPING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.

The contact's grandson was cut on his head due to the failure. No medical attention was needed. The contact inquired about the failure with the dealer, who confirmed there was no recall regarding the failure. The contact was unsure of a diagnostic result for the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 187,000.
VAN STALLS WHILE DRIVING, THE ENGINE COMPLETELY CUTS OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE JANUARY 2020. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING, WHILE STOPPED AT A LIGHT AND AT IDLE WHEN IN PARK. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THERE IS NO WARNING, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT OF HARMS WAY. SOMETIMES THE VAN WOULD START BACK UP AND OTHER TIMES IT REQUIRED A JUMP START. I HAVE CHANGED MY BATTERY AND STARTER, AND DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER KEYS ON MY KEY FOB. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE TIPM ( TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) AND THE IGNITION SWITCH. I HAVE CALLED THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS CHECKED SEVERAL WEBSITES TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE WAS RECALLED. IT IS NOT BASED ON MANUFACTURE DATE AND VIN. I AM AFRAID FOR MYSELF, MY FAMILY AND OTHER INNOCENT DRIVERS. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT WILL CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT OR FATALITY. I CANNOT SELL OR TRADE IN THIS VEHICLE KNOWING THAT IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
ENGINE STALLS, STEERING WHEEL/BRAKES/GAS PEDAL ALL LOCK UP AND BECOME INOPERABLE WHILE DRIVING/IN MOTION. I COULD BE GOING 10 MPH OR 50MPH. HAS HAPPENED ON WINDY ROADS NEAR MY HOME AS WELL AS HIGH TRAFFIC ROADS NEAR WORK AS WELL AS ON/OFF HIGHWAY RAMPS. I'VE READ HUNDREDS OF REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO MY YEAR MAKE AND MODEL YET MY VIN NUMBER HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED? I ONLY USE MY KEY FOB (NO OTHERS KEYS OR KEY CHAINS ADDED). PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED 3 YEARS AGO, HAS SINCE HAD NEW TRANSMISSION, NEW STARTER, AND NEW BATTERY TRYING TO RECTIFY THIS ISSUE.
TRACK LIGHT COMES ON AND THE STEERIMG WHEEL. TIGHTENS UP. AND YOUR HAVE TO SHUT THE VAN OFF AND RESTART IT MY VAN CAN DO THIS 2-4 IN A DAY OR NOT AT ALL . JUST BOUGHT THE VAN ON 11/10/2020
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR WON'T OPEN. IT WON'T UNLOCK. IT DOESN'T WORK WITH THE KEY FOB, DOESN'T WORK MANUALLY, DOESN'T WORK WITH THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE. EVERYONE WITH A DODGE HAS THIS PROBLEM, SOONER OR LATER! JUST READ THE FORUMS! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!! THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL!!!! 2010 AND UP! COMPLETELY UNUSABLE DOOR!
AT 35,000 KM WITH IN WARRANTY PERIOD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP. WENT TO DEALER, THEY FOUND CYLINDER # 5 MISFIRED. ACCORDINGLY TO DEALER THIS WAS REPAIRED BY CERTIFIED TECH AND VAN WAS IN GARAGE FOR 1 WEEK. THEN THIS VAN STARTED STALLING ENGINE AT 99,000 KM APPROX. THE ENGINE STALLS AND NO CODE IS REGISTERED AT LOW SPEEDS AND TURNS. FINALLY ONE DAY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME UP 0406 CODE CAME IN WHILE CHECKING. MY MECHANIC CLEANED EGR VALVE CHANGED GASKETS. IT RUN FINE BUR STILL AFTER COUPLE OF MONTHS THE ENGINE STARED STALLING OCCASIONALLY. LEAVING STEERING WHEEL HARD TO CONTROL AND NO BREAKS. AT 135,00 THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING. TOOK TO GARAGE 2 CYLINDERS WERE DEAD, HAVE TO SPEND $ 4,000 TO GET A USED MOTOR IN THIS TO BRING IT BACK TO ROAD. CHANGED TIMING BELT, WATERPUMP AND EXTENDED WARRANTY IT DID RUN FINE FOR 6-7 MONTHS. IT AGAIN STARTED STALLING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WHILE DRIVING, I SEARCHED, THERE ARE OVER 100 COMPLAINTS AND NO SOLUTION. WENT TO MECHANIC MANY TIMES BUT NO CODE IS STORED BUT STILL VAN ENGINE STALL. IT STALLS EVEN AT 60 KM/HR SPEED MAKING IT DANGEROUS TO OPERATE ON ROAD. I CAN REAR END OR CAN GET REAR ENDED AS IT STALLED. MOST DANGEROUS HAPPENED WHEN IT STALLED WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AND LUCKILY THE ON COMING TRAFFIC WAS BIT FAR AWAY AND PERSON WAS ALERT TO STOP SAFETY WITHOUT HITTING. I AM AFRAID IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN AND A TRUCK IS COMING STRAIGHT. DODGE IS NOT TAKING ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR INVESTIGATION FOR THIS ISSUE. I WILL LIKE SAFTEY AUTHORITIES TO TAKE ACTION AND SAVE LIVES. WEST HILLS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (900 W HILLS BLVD, BREMERTON, WA 98312) AND TACOMA DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (4101 S TACOMA WAY, TACOMA, WA 98409) WERE CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THEY BOTH INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PART WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER 1, 2020. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
JUST MORE AND MORE PROBLEMS WITH THIS VAN. EVERY PERSON WHO PURCHASED THIS VAN DESERVE THEIR MONEY BACK! I AM SO SICK OF WASTING MY MONEY ON THIS VAN. THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE, TRANSMISSION SLIPS, STALLS WHEN IT WANTS, OR JUST DOESNT START. AND WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE SENORS?? LIKE COME ON YOU GUYS KNOW THIS "FAMILY" VAN IS NOT SAFE!!!!!! THE VAN CUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. . THERE WAS NO WARNING AHEAD OF TIME. AT FIRST I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT EVEN AFTER FIXING THAT THE VAN DON'T WANT TO START BACK UP. THIS VEHICLE HAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE NOT STARTING HAVE FOUND THAT IT KEEPS BURNING UP RELAYS
ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WENT OUT AT 50,000. THIS SHOWS UP AS WHEEL SENSOR. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. PLUS YOU CAN NOT FIND PART HARDLY.
EVERYTHING TO DO WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE RECALLED INCLUDING THE SENSORS. 2018,2019,2020 I HAD TO REPLACE BRAKES, CALIPERS, ROTORS, AND HUB ASSEMBLY MULTIPLE TIMES. THIS IS NOT NORMAL TO KEEP REPLACES THESE PARTS. MANY PEOPLE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND I SURE MANY OTHERS WILL. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS.

I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE SO UNSURE OF THE DATES THAT HAPPENED. THE PASSENGER SLIDING POWER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN, IT APPEARS TO BE LOCKED SHUT. ALSO THE RADIATOR HOSES BUSTED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS HAPPENED PRIOR TO 150K MILES, AND IS NOT ADVISED IN OWNERS MANUAL FOR REPLACEMENT. I HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ONLINE FOR THESE DOORS BEING LOCKED SHUT AND UNABLE TO BE OPENED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER CLUSTER PROVIDED INCORRECT INFORMATION PRIOR TO THE VEHICLE LOSING MOTIVE POWER AND STALLING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. ADDITIONALLY, THE IGNITION KEY SEIZED INSIDE OF THE IGNITION SWITCH AND WAS UNABLE TO BE REMOVED. THE CONTACT CONTACTED COURTESY CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM TAMPA (9207 E. ADAMO DR, TAMPA, FL 33619, (813) 694-8784) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 191,466.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING OUR 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN DOWN A RESIDENTIAL STREET WHEN SUDDENLY IN TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE IGNITION SHUT OFF. BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS GOING 30MPH IT DIDN'T JUST STOP AND HE COULD NO LONGER CONTROL IT. THE VAN HIT THE BACK OF ANOTHER VEHICLE AT FULL SPEED CAUSING THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY IN THE VAN. NO ONE THANKFULLY WAS HURT BUT OUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS. WE HAVE CONTACTED MOPAR SINCE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON 3/18/2020 AND HAVE RECEIVED THE RUNAROUND. BECAUSE THE IGNITION JUST CUT OFF WE CONTACTED A DODGE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE VIN NUMBER CHECKED AND WERE INFORMED OF THE OPEN RECALL THAT CAN CAUSE EXACTLY WHAT OCCURRED WITH OUR VEHICLE. WE WERE DIRECTED BY THE DEALERSHIP TO CONTACT MOPAR. WE JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AT AN AUCTION IN JANUARY 2020 WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED ABOUT A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE RECALL NUMBER IS R03.
NOTICED THAT MY IGNITION AREA WAS LOSE AND THAT WHEN THE KEY WAS PLACED IN TO IT THE KEY WOULD BE VERY LOSE AND WAS EASILY ABLE TO SLIDE OUT OF IGNITION HOLE. ALSO THE CAR WOULD TURN OFF UNLESS I HOLD THE KEY IN PLACE OR WHEN I DRIVE THE SMALLEST BUMP WOULD KNOCK OUT THE KEY A LITTLE BIT AND THE CAR WOULD CUT OFF, SOMETIMES I COULD PUSH IT BACK IN AND IT WOULD CUT THE CAR RIGHT BACK ON HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN MANY TIMES ON THE EXPRESSWAY OR HIGHWAY. A LOT OF THE TIME I HAVE TO DRIVE HOLDING THE KEY INTO THE IGNITION BUT IF I MOVE MY HAND WRONG THE CAR CUTS OFF IN MID DRIVE
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AT 70MPH. THE CAR TURNED OFF AND THE "TRACTION CONTROL" IDIOT LIGHT TURNED ON. I MANAGED TO STRUGGLE TO GET IT OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY (I-294 IN CHICAGO IS NOT EASY!) AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK. WITH THE CAR IN PARK, I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND CONTINUE ON OUR TRIP. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE NOVEMBER 2019.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 50-60 MPH, THE IGNITION KEY WAS BUMPED ACCIDENTALLY AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 165,000.
Vehicle accelerated rapidly, from around 20 mph to excess of 70mph. When brakes were applied no effect was noticed. Pumped brakes and became to stiff to push down, speed continued to climb. Rpms at max. Tried to put in neutral but panicked and put in reverse. Causing a slamming halt and loud noise. Engine became so loud I thought it might explode. Tried to put in neutral and symptoms continued. Shut off engine, restarted, symptoms continued. Less than 1000 ft from home a s was hoping to to get in driveway, put and drive and it peeled out, engine still revving, brakes still stiff. Shut off and wait several minutes. Restart and symptoms gone. Happened to wife about one week later on ramp merging to interstate. Having been forewarned, she was able to slip into neutral, kept foot on brake, no pumping and coast to stop. After leaving off for several minutes was able to restart and make it home without issue. Took it to nearby mechanic, which looked at the throttle body, but they did believe it to have resolved issue, did not charge me and recommended to go to dealer. Did not drive most of the year due to covid19. Eventually took to dealership for recall and to specifically diagnose acc. issue so we could meet some family out of state. They fixed a few non related issues and recall. Did not fix acc. issue, or even put on receipt that they looked at it. When asked to print me new receipt so I could have proof that it was at least brought in for that issue, clerk told me it would mess up receipt in their filing so instead wrote it in with initials. Called dodge customer support because tr. fluid leaking after dealer worked on it. He told me that it was impossible to leak since it was a closed system and asked if he could help me with anything else. I WENT TO START MY VAN AND IT WOULDN'T START. THE DASH SAID "BAD KEY". APPARENTLY THE KEY UNPROGRAMMED SOME HOW OUT OF NOWHERE. I DIDN'T DO ANY5TO MY KEY AND IT JUST QUIT WORKING.
TWO THINGS HAPPENING OCCASIONALLY...1ST IS THAT SOMETIMES I ATTEMPT TO START THE VAN AND WHEN I TURN THE KEY NOTHING HAPPENS AS IF I DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO TURN THE KEY. ONE TIME JUST BEFORE THIS HAPPENED I COULD NOT USE THE KEY FAB TO UNLOCK THE DOOR TO THE VAN, ALMOST LIKE THE BATTERY TO THE VAN OR FAB WAS DEAD, HOWEVER BOTH WERE NEW OR FINE. AFTER PULLING FAB OUT OF IGNITION AND TRYING A SECOND TIME VAN HAS ALWAYS STARTED WITHOUT INCIDENT. 2ND ISSUE IS THAT ON A FEW SPREAD OUT OCCASIONS THE VAN WILL QUIT SHIFTING GEARS WHILE EXCELLERATING CAUSING THE RPM'S TO REV DANGEROUSLY. SO FAR AFTER GETTING TO A SAFE PLACE AND TURNING THE VAN OFF AND RESTARTING HAS CLEARED THE ISSUE...HOWEVER IS UNCLEAR WHAT IS CAUSING AND IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE ON THE HIGHWAY BEFORE YOU REALIZE WHATS HAPPENING.
THE VEHICLE SHUTS COMPLETELY OFF WHILE DRIVING. NO SPITTING OR SPUTTERING, NO STALLING, NO ERROR CODES OR LIGHTS. JUST SHUTS OFF WITH NO WARNING. WEATHER CONDITIONS, SPEED, MILES DROVE MATTERS
THE KEY FOB LOCKS THE CAR IF LIGHTLY BUMPED. THE DANGER IS LEAVING THE KEYS IN THE CAR AND CLOSING A DOOR WHICH TRIGGERS THE LOCK. THIS COULD LOCK ONE OUT IN FREEZING WEATHER OR LOCK A CHILD IN THE VAN WHEN PARKED AND CLOSING THE DRIVERS DOOR THEN TRYING TO OPEN THE REAR DOOR TO GET A CHILD OUT. I SPOKE TO MY OFFICE EMPLOYEE AND SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH DODGE KEY FOBS HAPPEN TO HER AND A FRIEND.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 155,139.

A COUPLE DAYS LATER THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN AND A SECONDARY DIAGNOSIS WAS PERFORMED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
I HAVE A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN WITH THE 4.0 LITER MOTOR, 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. MY VAN JUST PASSED 119,000 MILES AND IT JUST STARTED TO SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 30-40 MPH, ON CITY STREETS. THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN AS I TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN AROUND. I HAVE NOT BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND I HOPE NOT TO ANYTIME SOON. I'VE BEEN READING FORUMS ONLINE AND MANY CHRYSLER OWNERS ARE SAYING IT COULD BE ANYTHING FROM THE EGR VALVE, TO THE IGNITION SWITCH AND EVEN BAD BATTERY. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, A DEER JUMPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD CAUSING A CRASH. THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG AND DRIVER'S SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAG PARTIALLY DEPLOYED DUE TO IT BEING PUNCTURED BY AN UNKNOWN COMPONENT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FENDER WAS DAMAGED AND THE BRACKET WAS BENT DURING THE IMPACT. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. POLICE REPORT NUMBER: 19-2687 WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 217,000.
THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE ALL HAPPENING WITHIN SEVERAL MONTHS. WE FIRST HAD ISSUES WITH THE TIRE TREAD, THEN A HOLE IN THE WATER HOSE AND RADIATOR, A HOLE IN THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. THEN IT WAS BROKEN PIECES IN THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. NOW THE CURRENT ISSUE IS EITHER THE BRAKES SEIZED UP OR THE THE CALIBER IS STUCK AND WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE.
FEBRUARY MY HUSBAND AND I FINANCED THIS CAR AND WITHIN LESS THAN ONE MONTH WE BEEN EXPERIENCING ONE ISSUE AFTER ANOTHER. FIRST, THE HEATER HOSE HAD A HOLE IN IT THEN AFTER THAT WAS THE RADIATOR THEN AFTER WE REPLACED THOSE TWO NOW WE HAVE A ISSUE WITH THE EXHAUST MODIFIER AS WELL A ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES TODAY THE TIRES LOCKED UP ON US. COULD BE RELATED TO THE ISSUES THATS BEEN REPORTED ON THE NEWER DODGE GRAND CARAVANS.
WHILE DRIVING THE 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN IT WILL JUST SHUT DOWN. WHILE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM I FOUND 2 RECALLS FOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES BOTH HAVING TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE SHUTTING DOWN WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I ENTERED MY VIN IT SHOWED ONE THAT NEEDED THE IGNITION AND FOBS REPLACED. WE TOOK IT TO OUR LOCAL DEALER TRI-STAR OF INDIANA AND THEY SAY THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED IN JUNE OF 2016. I CAN'T FIND ANY PAPERWORK ON THIS AND IT STILL SHOWS UP. EVEN IF IT WAS DONE, IT'S OBVIOUS IT NEEDS DONE AGAIN BECAUSE THEIR REPLACEMENT PARTS ARE DEFECTIVE JUST LIKE THE ONES THEY REPLACED. I ALREADY INFORMED THEM IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY FAMILY OR ME WHILE DRIVING THIS, THEY WILL BE THE FIRST NAMES ON THE LAW SUIT THE DODGE FOR NOT FIXING THE ISSUE CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME. THIS HAPPENS IN TOWN, ON COUNTRY ROADS, SITTING AT STOP LIGHTS. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED MY DAUGHTER WAS TAKING HER KIDS TO THE DOCTOR ON TUESDAY 12/3/2019.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TEN TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000. CONSUMER TOOK VEHICLE TO A LOCAL AUTOZONE FOR A COMPUTER CHECK. CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THE PROBLEM WOULD NOT SHOW UP BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON. CONSUMER SAYS THAT ISSUE IS SIMILAR TO MANUFACTURER RECALL LO2 (WIN MODULE). *DL
