TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT PAST THIRD GEAR. WAS LEAVING DOCTORS APPOINTMENT AND IT WOULDN'T CHANGE PAST 3RD GEAR. HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET PART FOR 5 MONTHS
WHEN THE DOORS ARE LOCKED OR UNLOCKED THEY MAKE A BUZZING NOISE.
THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ON THE RIGHT REAR SLIDING DOOR HAS STOPPED WORKING. MY DOOR IS STUCK ON UNLOCK, AND IS UNABLE TO BE LOCKED, MANUALLY OR OTHERWISE. MY DOOR ALSO MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE EVERY TIME I PRESS THE UNLOCK BUTTON.
I ARRIVED AT THE STORE, I WAS WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS. SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRIED OPENING THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE DOOR WAS STUCK. I COULD NOT UNLOCK WITH THE REMOTE OR MANUALLY. I TRIED VARIOUS METHODS AND THE DOOR IS SEALED SHUT. THIS IS A MAJOR HAZARD. IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY YOU WON'T ABLE PASSENGERS OUT FAST ENOUGH. IN THIS CASE BEING MY CHILDREN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR FAILED TO OPEN AND CLOSE ELECTRONICALLY AND MANUALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000. *DT*JB
ELECTRONIC DOOR LOCKS MAKE A BUZZING SOUND WHEN LOCKING AND AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS THE DOOR LOCKS ARE COMPLETELY JAMMED SHUT. BOTH REAR DOORS AFFECTED AND NUMEROUS MENTIONS ONLINE OF THE EXACT SAME ISSUE IN DODGE GRAND CARAVAN AND CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY MODELS. IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY DOORS CAN NOT BE UNLOCKED MANUALLY OR VIA REMOTE TO ALLOW PASSENGERS TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. CHRYSLER HAS DENIED A CLAIM TO REPAIR OR ISSUE A RECALL AND HAS ADVISED ME THAT THEY WAIT UNTIL THE NHTSA DIRECTS THEM TO ISSUE A RECALL. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY RISK THAT EXPOSES PASSENGERS TO BEING CONFINED IN THE VEHICLE IN AN EMERGENCY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE, WIRES WERE EXPOSED, AND THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR DID NOT OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE COIL AND SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
BOTH SLIDING DOORS HAVE FAILED. THE PASSENGER SIDE ACCUATOR IS FAILING AND THE LOCKING MECHANISM ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. I CANNOT OPEN THE DOOR AT ALL AND THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN WHEN CAR IS IN PARK AND OFF OR ON.
SLIDING REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK. MANUAL LOCK IS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION AND DOES NOT CHANGE POSITION WITH THE INSIDE BUTTONS OR THE KEY FOBS. I'VE READ ONLINE ABOUT MANY VANS LIKE MINE WITH THIS ISSUE (2012 AND UP...). SOME OF THEM ARE STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION! THE ESTIMATED COST IS $1100 WHICH I CAN NOT AFFORD. 2C4RDGCG8GR[XXX] 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN WITH >28,000 ORIGINAL MILES. VIN # 2C4RDGCG8GR[XXX] 1ST ' A FEW WEEKS AGO THE ORIGINAL KEY FOB BEGAN NOT ALWAYS UNLOCKING THE DOORS OR STARTING THE CAR. I HAD A NEW BATTERY PUT IN KEY FOB BUT THE PROBLEMS CONTINUED. I HAD AAA TEST MY CAR BATTERY AND IT WAS GOOD. 2ND - CLUSTER LIGHTS BEGAN RANDOMLY FLASHING AND DINGING A FEW WEEKS AGO AFTER THE KEY FOB PROBLEMS BEGAN. THIS LAST WEEK OR TWO THE DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER ALSO BEGAN SPINNING UPWARD AND DOWNWARD AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, RANDOMLY. THESE PROBLEMS HAVE PROGRESSIVELY WORSENED BECOMING MORE FREQUENT AND WITH MORE SYSTEMS FLASHING. ONE RED LIGHT HAS EVEN APPEARED UNDER THE GREEN LETTER N, FOR NEUTRAL. NO NAME AND NO SYMBOL, JUST A RED LIGHT. ON WEDNESDAY THE 21ST, I HAD MY BATTERY TESTED AGAIN AND THE ALTERNATOR TESTED AT AUTO ZONE AND O'REILLY'S, BOTH SAID THEY ARE GOOD. I HAD THE ORIGINAL FOB PLUS ANOTHER NEW FOB PROGRAMMED TO THE CAR ON WEDNESDAY, AUG. 21, 2019 AT COURTESY DODGE IN MESA, AZ. THE NEXT DAY, THURSDAY, 1 FOB STARTED THE CAR AND TOOK US TO WALMART WITHOUT INCIDENT. HOWEVER, THE FOB WOULD NOT OPEN ANY DOOR NOR START THE VEHICLE WHEN WE WERE READY TO LEAVE THE STORE. FINALLY CALLED MY SON-IN-LAW AND HE BROUGHT THE OTHER FOB. NEITHER FOB WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR QUITE AWHILE, THEN FINALLY 1 WORKED. I'M QUADRIPLEGIC SO HAVING AN UNRELIABLE VEHICLE AND BEING STRANDED AWAY FROM HOME IN 114 DEGREE HEAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. ON FRIDAY WE TOOK THE DODGE TO AUTO ZONE, THEY AGAIN SAID MY CAR BATTERY WAS FINE. ON SATURDAY THE 24TH NAPA AND AUTO ZONE CHECKED FOR CODES ON THE DODGE. CAME UP WITH U110A. THE LEFT SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS STUCK CLOSED WITH NO MANUAL OR REMOTE LOCK HELPING. CAN'T OPEN IT AT ALL. BABY STUCK IN CAR SEAT AND I CAN'T GET HIM OUT WITH OUT HARDSHIP SINCE DOOR WON'T OPEN.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR WOULD NOT UNLOCK WITH FOB OR MANUALLY. I HAD TO HAVE THE ACTUATOR REPLACED FOR $500. A SAFETY ISSUE FOR PASSENGERS.
DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR ACTUATOR MAKES A BUZZING NOISE WHEN DOORS ARE LOCKED
THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS NORMAL, AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. IT WON'T OPEN WITH THE KEY/FOB OR MANUALLY. IT IS PERMANENTLY LOCKED.
2016 GRAND DODGE CARAVAN PASSENGER SLIDER DOOR DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WITH KEY FOBE, OVERHEAD BUTTON OR MANUALLY. IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. SEEMS THAT THE DOOR IS IN THE LOCK POSITION. CANNOT MOVE THE UNLOCK/LOCK BUTTON ON THE DOOR. THIS IS A DANGER WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. DID GET IT OPEN BY PUSHING ON THE DOOR BUTTON AND THE KEY FOBE AT THE SAME TIME, AND IT WORKED FOR AWHILE, NOW IT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL AND CANNOT GET THE DOOR OPEN. THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE SAME THE PROBLEM AND DODGE WANTS TO CHARGE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM THAT SEEMS TO HAPPEN TO ALOT OF THEIR VANS.
THE DOOR ACCENTATORS IN BOTH REAR DOORS HAVE STOPPED WORKING . THE DEALERSHIP FIXED ONE WHICH WAS GREAT BUT THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS NO LONGER FUNCTION IN EITHER DOOR AS WELL . THE FIRST DOOR WAS GRINDING WHENEVER WE TRIED TO USE THE DOOR LOCKS OR EVEN STOPPED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN PARK . ALSO THE KEY FOB IS DEFECTIVE FOR THIS CAR I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY ONCE A MONTH AND IT ONLY UNLOCKS THE DOORS SOMETIMES .

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
WHEN I OPEN OR UNLOCK MY DOORS, I GET A LOUD BUZZER. I SEE FROM ON-LINE POSTS THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2016 VANS LIKE MINE AND IT COSTS $600 TO FIX. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.
The vehicle left me stranded and would not go forward and then I got a brand new transmission under warranty and literally 4 month later the transmission started acting up and I have continued to have issues with it ever since I have gotten it and it continues to have transmission issues! It even has low miles but it is frustrating because now I have to pay out of pocket almost 5 grand when this vehicle has been having issues since I have gotten it.

A FEW MONTHS AGO THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR ON MY 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN STOPPED OPERATING WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. THE DOOR IS STUCK IN LOCK POSITION AND I AM UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AT ALL. TODAY THE OTHER SLIDING DOOR (DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR) STOPPED WORKING, LOCKING MY 4 MONTH OLD, 2 YEAR OLD AND 4 YEAR OLD IN THE REAR OF THE VAN. WE WERE ABLE TO CLIMB OVER THE MIDDLE CONSOLE IN THE FRONT SEAT TO GET THE CHILDREN OUT. IF THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, ALL OF OUR LIVES COULD'VE BEEN IN DANGER DUE TO THE DOORS NOT OPENING. I'VE RESEARCHED IT AND IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG DODGE/CHRYSLER VANS IN THE LAST 10 YEARS.
THE DRIVING SIDE SLIDING DOOR HAS BECOME STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. IT IS UNABLE TO BE OPENED MANUALLY OR WITH THE REMOTE OR BUTTONS. I WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE REMOTE TO PUT MY CHILD IN THE CAR. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT OUR DESTINATION I WAS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AS IF WE WERE IN AN ACCIDENT OR AN EMERGENCY SITUATION I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET MY INFANT OUT OF THE CAR QUICKLY AND SAFELY.
The passenger (right) side rear sliding door has gotten stuck and will not unlock manually. It has been stuck for about a year and after going to the dealer they’re claiming it’s a common defect that is hard to repair. We are unable to enter the car from the passenger side rear sliding door and hopefully the driver side sliding door doesn’t get stuck, otherwise we will be unable to exit the car, which can be excessively dangerous while in an accident type incident. This door being stuck is already reasonably dangerous since our kids are unable to exit the vehicle curb side and must exit on the drivers (left) side of the vehicle. Door became stuck 3 years after it was new, with just under 45,000 miles on the car. When trying to unlock the door with the automatic door button it will just make a sort of buzzing noise.
THE DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK OR OPEN. WE HAVE TRIED EVERY WAY WE CAN TO UNLOCK IT --- KEY FOB, OVERHEAD DOOR OPENER, DRIVERS SIDE ELECTRIC LOCK, AND EVERY COMBINATION OF THE ABOVE --- BUT IT WILL NOT OPEN OR UNLOCK!! THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD..... NO ONE CAN GET OUT OF VEHICLE IN CASE OF FIRE OR ACCIDENT, THE DOOR WILL JUST NOT OPEN NO MATTER WHAT WE TRY!! ACCORDING TO THE INTERNET.....HUNDREDS OF DODGE GRAND CARAVAN'S HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!! THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED OVERNIGHT, WITH NO WARNING. WE CAME HOME, UNLOADED GROCERIES THAT EVENING AND LOCKED THE DOORS. THE NEXT MORNING THE DOOR WOULDN'T UNLOCK OR OPEN. ALL OTHER DOORS OPEN AND ARE WORKING FINE.
ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BEGAN TO STOP RESPONDING TO THE KEY FOB, BUT COULD STILL BE LOCKED/UNLOCKED MANUALLY. IT MADE A BUZZING NOISE ONE DAY THEN STOPPED OPENING ALTOGETHER. WE DECLINED THE REPAIR BECAUSE WE WERE QUOTED OVER $3000!!!! WE ONLY HAVE ABOUT 55,000MILES ON THE VAN. THE DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON DODGE CARAVANS AND COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. TODAY, THE DRIVER PASSENGER DOOR HAS BEGUN MAKING A BUZZING NOISE AND WE WILL HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED, OR NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO GET IN OR OUT OF THE BACKSEAT SAFELY. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL FORUMS ABOUT JUST THIS THING ASKING HOW TO GET THIS REPAIRED WITHOUT PAYING THOUSANDS, AND THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM IS OVERWHELMING. IN ALMOST ALL CASES, THE ACTUATOR INSIDE THE DOOR HAS BEEN EITHER CORRUPTED WITH RUST, OR A GEAR IS BROKEN.
WHILE DRIVING ALONG ON THE HIGHWAY ON A BRIDGE THE VEHICLE STARTED TO BUCK AND JERK COULD NOT SELECT ANY GEARS TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING A LOUD WHINING HIGH PITCH SOUND CAME FROM THE TRANSMISSION AREA CHECK ENGINE SYMBOL CAME ON I MANAGED TO GET VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD. I HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP 41425 MILES ON 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT. VEHICLE WAS DEALER SERVICED AND OWNERS MANUAL WAS SIGNED AT REQUIRED SERVICE TIMES. DATE 5 AUGUST 2019. DEALER REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER, TRANSMISSION PUMP, TRANSMISSION FILTER, TRANSMISSION FLUID. MY VIN DID NOT COME UP ON ANY RECALLS. DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO 100,000 MILES ON THESE VANS AS A MINIMUM TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS.
DRIVERS SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR IS LOCKED AND UNABLE TO BE OPENED USING THE KEY FOB OR BUTTONS INSIDE THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE CANNOT BE OPENED MANUALLY EITHER. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN VIA ALL METHODS THE MESSAGE 'UNLOCK DOOR TO OPERATE' SHOWS ON THE MESSAGE PANEL IN THE DASH. ATTEMPTS TO UNLOCK THE DOOR MANUALLY AND VIA KEY FOB AND BUTTONS INSIDE THE VEHICLE HAVE NO EFFECT. THIS HAPPENED SUDDENLY ONE DAY, NO INTERMITTENT FAILURE LEADING UP TO THIS. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY FOR ONE MONTH. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IF WE WERE TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE CHILDREN FROM THE BACK SEAT WHO ARE UNABLE TO UNLOCK THEIR OWN SEATBELTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TALER DALLAS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (11550 LYNDON B JOHNSON FWY, DALLAS, TX, (214) 327-9361) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LATCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LATCH WAS REPLACED, BUT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTERWARDS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 61,000.
SLIDING SIDE DOOR IS STUCK IN THE LOCK POSITION. THERE IS NO WAY TO EXIT THE CAR, POSING A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE QUOTES TO GET THIS ISSUE FIXED RANGE FROM $1000-3000. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT IS HAPPENING TO MANY MANY GRAND CARAVAN OWNERS AND IT IS UNBELIEVABLE UNSAFE, AND CLEARLY A FAULTY ISSUE WITH THE CAR.

I HAVE A DODGE CARAVAN 2016 IT IS KNOCKING UP UNDER THE HOOD.

Passenger and drivers side rear sliding door locks making grinding noise, both during lock and unlock movements.
THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR HAD BEEN WORKING PERFECTLY. ON VACATION WE WERE PARKED AT OUR SON'S WHEN WE TRIED TO OPEN IT IT IS IN A LOCKED POSITION NOTHING WILL RELEASE IT WE HAVE TRIED THE CAR FOB, MANUALLY, AND THE CONTROLLER ON THE UPPER CONSOLE. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD THAT NEEDS RESOLVED. AND AN EXPENSIVE THING TO FIX WHICH SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED .
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN THE LOCK IS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. THIS CREATES A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
THE BACK SLIDING DOOR IS STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION. THIS IS A PROBLEM EXPERIENCED BY MANY OWNERS IN MODELS MADE SENSE 2011. THE DOOR CAN NOT BE MANUALLY OR ELECTRONICALLY OPENED.
THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN IN ANY KIND OF COLLISION OR HAD ANY DAMAGE TO IT. ONE REAR SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK OR OPEN AND THE OTHER REAR SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT LOCK. THIS IS A VERY CONCERNING SAFETY ISSUE. IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED AND THE OCCUPANTS WOULD HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE VERY QUICKLY, THIS COULD BE AFFECTING LIFE OR DEATH. IN ADDITION, THE ONE SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT LOCK SO WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION IT CAN BE OPENED. THIS IS A CONCERN FOR ME BECAUSE I HAVE SMALL CHILDREN.. IN ADDITION, THIS IS A MAJOR SECURITY ISSUE SINCE THERE IS NO WAY TO SECURE THE VEHICLE. I HAVE FOUND MANY OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINTS ABOUT A DEFECT IN THIS VEHICLE AND NOTHING BEING DONE ABOUT IT. ALL I WAS TOLD WAS IT TAKES $1,200 TO FIX IT FOR EACH DOOR.
SLIDING SIDE DOOR LOCKED SHUT AND CANNOT OPEN. THIS HAPPENED TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FIRST. DEALER QUOTED $900. NOW DRIVERS SIDE IS LOCKED SHUT. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE THAT MUST BE ADDRESSED. PASSENGERS IN BACK CANNOT GET OUT IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. IF ELECTRICAL LOCK GOES BAD, DOOR SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO OPEN MANUALLY. INTERNET BLOGS SHOW THIS IS VERY COMMON ON THESE VEHICLES. CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL AND FIX.
I'M WRITING TO INFORM YOU OF AN ISSUE WITH OUR 2016 DODGE CARAVAN. THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS UNABLE TO BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE, FROM THE OUTSIDE OR WHEN USING THE KEY FOB. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT OR FIRE AS WELL AS A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE. THE REPAIR COST QUOTED TO ME IS $1000. THIS IS NOT IN OUR BUDGET RIGHT NOW AND $2000 CERTAINLY IS NOT IF THE OTHER SIDE WERE TO MALFUNCTION AS WELL. THIS VAN IS 3 YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 70000 MILES ON IT. I'M ASKING FOR A RECALL INQUIRY AS I HAVE READ THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VANS. PLEASE, FOR THE SAFETY OF THE THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES THAT OWN THESE VANS, ISSUE A RECALL ON THESE SLIDING DOOR MECHANISMS.
THE DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR IS LOCKED AND WILL NOT UNLOCK. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG. TWO DAYS LATER, THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED. THE DOOR HAS BEEN LOCKED SHUT FOR 1 MONTH NOW. WHEN I LOCK/UNLOCK THE DOORS FROM THE DOOR HANDLE, SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. I NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER DOOR WOULD OCCASIONALLY LOCK, BUT NOT UNLOCK WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE DOORS WOULD UNLOCK. THE ENTIRE LOCK SYSTEM MAKES ME VERY NERVOUS IF I WERE TO GET IN A WRECK. SINCE THERE ARE NO MANUAL LOCKS, IT'S POSSIBLE THAT ALL DOORS BE LOCKED AND MY FAMILY (3 KIDS) WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE. I TOOK BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT'S A COMMON ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL. IT WILL REQUIRE A TECHNICIAN TAKING FRONT DASH APART AND REPLACING A WIRELESS SENSOR. IF THIS IS SO COMMON, WHY NO WARRANTY WHEN IT'S A CLEAR SAFETY ISSUE? 55,000 MILES, 2016 MODEL.
ON 7-24-19 I NOTICED THAT THE REAR SLIDER DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE WOULD NOT OPEN. IT WOULD NOT RESPOND TO THE KEY FOB, THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE BUTTON, THE INTERIOR DOOR SWITCH OR THE EXTERIOR HANDLE. IT JUST WOULD NOT OPEN.I TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC (THE CAR WAS NO LONGER COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURE'S WARRANTY). HE DETERMINED THAT IS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR . UNTIL THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE A REAR PASSENGER WOULD HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME EXITING THE CAR IN AN EMERGENCY . I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL RECENT POSTING OF THIS PROBLEM ON YOUR WEBSITE AND FEEL YOU SHOULD INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM. THE DOOR WAS REPAIRED BUT I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROBLEM HAPPENING ON THE OTHER DOOR . I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 37 MONTHS AND IT HAS 41,000.00 MILES.

THE ACTUATOR ON BOTH SLIDING DOORS HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. THEY BOTH HAVE BEEN STUCK WHERE THE DOOR DOES NOT CLOSE AND LOCK. ALSO THE DOOR HAS BEEN CLOSED BEFORE WHERE MY CHILD HAS BEEN ALMOST HURT DUE TO DOOR NOT OPENING BACK UP DUE TO SAFETY OPTION WITH THE DOOR. I HAVE HAD OTHER ISSUE WHERE THE THE TAILGATE DOOR DOES NOT OPEN AND CLOSE IN THE BACK IT WORK WENT WANTS TO. MOST INCIDENTS OCCURRED IN STATIONARY AND MOTOR RUNNING CASES. THE ACTUATOR LOCKING MECHANISM HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH. IF LOCK THE DOORS THIS OCCURS TO. HAD DEALERSHIP LOOK AT THESE ISSUE AND THEY CHARGED TO FIX ONE OF THE SIDES ALREADY. NOW THE THE OTHER SIDE IS HAPPENING. THEY WANT ALMOST A 1000.00 TO FIX. HAVE BEEN READING COMPLAINTS OF OTHER OWNERS OF THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A ISSUE WITH THIS MODEL OF CAR. NEEDS BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED OUT THE DODGE MAKER NOT THE OWNER.

THE CONTACT CALLED CONKLIN AUTOMOTIVE AT (785) 825-8271 (SALINA, KS 67401) AND RECEIVED A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE PARTS THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,625.
DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT UNLOCK. CAUSING VEHICLE DOOR NOT TO OPEN ON COMMAND. WAS TOLD IT HAS FAULTY ACTUATOR. TO MANUALLY UNLOCK IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR SMALL CHILDREN. COULD BECOME HAZARD IN AN EMERGENCY.
I BOUGHT MY 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN IN FEBRUARY OF 2018 WITH 98000 MILES ON IT. HERE I AM 1 YEAR AND 5 MONTHS LATER HAVING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT 108000 MILES. I WAS DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING ON A CITY STREET MY RPMS WERE GOING UP TO 6000 BUT MY VAN WASN'T ACCELERATING. I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED AND LUCKILY NONE OF MY CHILDREN WERE WITH ME, ESPECIALLY MY 7 WEEK OLD BABY!! THE TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP THAT I HAD IT TOWED TO SAID IT WASN'T DUE TO THE PUMP THAT WAS RECALLED, THAT APPARENTLY DID NOT APPLY TO MY VIN, BUT THE INSIDE OF MY TRANSMISSION WAS BREAKING APART INTERNALLY. WHEN THEY TOOK THE PAN OFF THE TRANSMISSION THERE WERE PIECES OF METAL LAYING IN IT. AND AFTER ALL THIS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON.

LEFT SIDE SLIDING DOOR STUCK IN SHUT POSITION IN JULY 2019. JUST LOCKED SHUT. THIS IS A MANUAL, NOT ELECTRICAL DOOR. DOES NOT RESPOND TO ANY LOCKS, FOB BUTTONS AND OR HANDLES. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR ANYTHING THAT "CAUSED" IT. IT JUST WILL NOT OPEN.
BOTH ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS ON THE SLIDING DOORS MAKE A NOISE EVERY TIME THE DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK. ONE OF THE DOORS STUCK IN THE LOCK POSITION AND WOULD NOT UNLOCK OR OPEN. HAD IT FIXED BUT IS MAKING THE NOISE AGAIN ALONG WITH THE DOOR ON THE OTHER SIDE. COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF I CAN OPEN THE DOORS! ONE OF THE BACK WINDOWS WILL NOT ROLL DOWN ANYMORE AND THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE. ALL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS!
