TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. WHILE INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING FLUID INSIDE THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO ADD POWER STEERING FLUID, IT LEAKED OUT ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WILDE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM SOUTH STREET (1710 WI-164, WAUKESHA, WI 53186, (262) 544-5400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING COOLER AND RETURN HOSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER AWAITING PARTS FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR 2 YEARS. SINCE I'VE HAD IT, IT WOULD RANDOMLY NOT START, THE HEAT WOULD ONLY WORK IN THE BACK VENTS. GOT EVERYTHING FIXED ASSOCIATED WITH STARTER, BATTERY, EVERYTHING. FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS, MY ENGINE LIKE HAS BEEN ON, AND AN ESP LIGHT. I GOT THE ENGINE CHECKED, BRAKES FIXED, ROUTERS, BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH REPLACED AND IT'S STILL DOING THE EXACT THING. GEAR WON'T SHIFT SOMETIMES BUT IT ISN'T THE TRANSMISSION.NOW THEY ARE SAYING POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL ISSUE BUT THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS! AFTER I'VE PUT MORE THAN 1000 INTO EVERYTHING THAT HAS NOT FIXED THE ISSUE.
AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT COME ON IN A DASHBOARD. WHEN I START AND TURN THE KEY THE AIRBAG SIGN COME ON, THE CAR IS PARK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY. AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING HOSE RUPTURED AND THE CONTACT NOTICED FLUID LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V273000 (STEERING). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
POWER STEERING RETURN LINE RUPTURED ON A -20F MORNING. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND I LOST POWER STEERING. I DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL I WENT TO TAKE A CORNER. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE THE CORNER BUT CAME CLOSE TO HITTING A SNOW BANK. THE SPEED WAS LOW SO I HAD TIME TO REACT. AFTER THAT I BROUGHT IT TO MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER AND IT WAS REPAIRED. THE TOTAL BILL WAS 383.17. IT'S FUNNY THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR AND MODEL YET MINE ISN'T RECALLED. THE RECALL EXPLAINS WHAT HAPPENS AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPEND TO MY JOURNEY.
THE POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE AT THE RACK POSITION BROKE IN BELOW FREEZING CONDITIONS WHEN I FIRST STARTED IT A FEW WEEKS AGO. THE HOSE IS BROKE AND IT'S LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID AND IT'S HARD TIME STEER THE VEHICLE AT TIMES. OTHER 09 DODHE JOURNEYS HAVE BEEN RECALLED, BUT MINE, SXT AWD WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ACCORDING TO THE VIN NUMBER. I FEEL IT SHOULD BE AND THE HOSE IS STILL CURRENTLY BROKEN. I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED BY CHRYSLER INSTEAD OF OUT OF MY POCKET. IT IS HIGHER MILEAGE AND THE MOTOR IS NOT THE ORIGINAL BUT THAT SHOULD NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO ME. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR 2009 DODGE JOURNEY THIS PAST WINTER AND THE LINE SPLIT OPEN, DIDN'T REALIZE IT WHILE I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, NO STEERING, IT COULD OF KILLED US. . THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE LINE FOR DODGE JOURNEY 2009 TO 2016 . WHEN SUBJECTED TO COLD WEATHER THE POWER STEERING LINE CAN RUPTURE AT START UP. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR 2009 DODGE JOURNEY THIS PAST WINTER AND THE LINE SPLIT OPEN. DODGE IS TELLING US THAT OUR VEHICLE VIN NUMBER DOES NOT FALL UNDER THAT RECALL. *DT *TR
TAKARA RECALL: WHEN LEAVING WORK I STARTED MY CAR AND BEGAN TO BACK OUT OF THE PARKING LOT WHEN I WENT TO PUSH ON MY BRAKES TO STOP MY CAR MY BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AS IF I HAD NOTHING BUT AIR. I CALLED AND HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A LOCAL SHOP 4 DIFFERENT MASTER CYLINDERS PUT ON THE CAR TWO NEW CALIPERS ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND BACK REPLACED ALONG WITH A NEW ABS MODULE AND BRAKE LINE HOSE ON THE FRONT LEFT SIDE 2500.00 LATER AND I STILL HAVE NO FRONT LEFT BRAKES!!!! COMPLETE NIGHTMARE AND IT IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE NOT ONE PERSON CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS OH I SHALL ADD WE ALSO REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS!
I OWN A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY THAT I PURCHASED IN JULY OF 2018. BEGINNING IN AUGUST I STARTED EXPERIENCING A NO CRANK NO START PROBLEM. THERE WERE 3 TIMES MY CAR WOULDN'T START WHILE I WAS AT HOME. MY CAR HAS BEEN TOWED APPROXIMATELY 9 TIMES SINCE SEPTEMBER INCLUDING 2 TIMES TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR OF THE PROBLEM IN OCTOBER. INITIALLY THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED A DEAD CELL IN THE BATTERY. I PAID APPROXIMATELY $232.00 FOR A NEW BATTERY AND 2 1/2 WEEKS LATER I WAS STRANDED AGAIN DUE TO MY CAR NOT STARTING IN NOVEMBER, SINCE THEN I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM 8 TIMES WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE MY HOME. ALL OF MY MAJOR PARTS ARE OPERATING CORRECTLY AND NOTHING IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. CAN CHRYSLER PLEASE ATTEMPT TO IDENTIFY WHAT IS CAUSING THIS PROBLEM? IT'S UNSAFE AND VERY INCONVENIENT THIS UNKNOWN ISSUE IS EXPENSIVE TO CONSTANTLY ATTEMPT TO FIX AND THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS.

MY POWER STEERING LINE BREAKS IN THE COLD. IT HAS DONE IT SEVERAL TIMES AND I'VE HAD TO REPLACE IT. DONE IT WHILE PARKED AND OFF AND WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHORTLY AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, IT BECAME DIFFICULT TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT TO START THE VEHICLE, THE IGNITION WAS PLACED IN THE ON POSITION AND THE STARTER WAS TAPPED TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BAXTER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM BELLEVUE (7713 S 19 TH ST, BELLEVUE, NE 68147, (402) 800-1256) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THREE MONTHS AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR, WHILE DRIVING AT 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.
''TAMARA RECALL ''THE PCM IT'S BEEN GETTING VERY HOT AND MESSING UP MY COMPUTER SYSTEM. I'VE BOUGHT 3 TIMES AND KEEPS ON MESSING UP MY COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND CANNOT EVEN TRANSFER POWER TO THE ALTERNATOR. THIS THEREFORE MAKE THE CAR BATTERY DIE ON ME WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. IT HAPPENED 3 TIMES AND ONE WAS IN HE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE.

CURRENTLY, THE PCM MALFUNCTIONED AND THE RPMS REVVED TO 40 MPH WITHOUT ACCELERATION. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT WAITED BEFORE RESTARTING THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND REACHED APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE RPMS WOULD REV UP AGAIN. THE DEALER (SMOLICH MOTORS, 1865 NE HWY 20, BEND, OR 97701, (541) 389-1177) STATED THAT THE COOLER LINE WAS LEAKING AND THE TRANSMISSION PAD NEEDED TO BE RESEALED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPAIRED THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURES CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
SINCE SEPTEMBER 2018 CAR WOULD NOT START. HAD GONE TO THE DOCTOR AND PARKED IN THE LOT, WHEN I CAME OUT MY CAR WOULD NOT START AND I WAS STRANDED IN THE PARKING LOT UNTIL DARK AFTER THE CLINIC HAD CLOSED. TRIED STARTING IT MULTIPLE TIMES AND ONLY GOT A ʻCLICKʻ THEN NOTHING. HAD TO GET TOWED HOME. IʻM A 59 Y/O FEMALE WITH HEALTH ISSUES. BATTERY WAS NEW SO I HAD THE STARTER REPLACED THINKING MAYBE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. MY CAR STILL HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. IT WOULD RANDOMLY START. SO ONCE I COULD GET IT STARTED, I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC. HE COULD NOT ISOLATE THE PROBLEM ALTHOUGH IT WOULD STILL RANDOMLY START AND RECOMMENDED THAT I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I DID AND THE DEALER SAID EVERYTHING CHECKED OUT FINE BUT RECOMMENDED THAT I HAVE THE STARTER REPLACED AS WELL AS THE EGR SYSTEM AND HE QUOTED ME OVER $1200. I CANʻT AFFORD THAT. I HAD ALREADY PAID TO HAVE MY BATTERY TESTED AT SEARS WHERE I BOUGHT MY DIEHARD AND HAD BOUGHT A NEW STARTER THAT MY BROTHER INSTALLED. INSTEAD, I TOOK IT BACK TO MY MECHANIC WHO REPLACED IT WITH ANOTHER STARTED AND EGR SYSTEM FOR $300 LESS. IT ONLY WORKED FOR A FEW DAYS. I ONLY GET A CLICK THEN NOTHING. TODAY, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I TRAVEL 30 MILES EACH WAY TO GET TO WORK AND THIS IS FRUSTRATING. I TRIED THE ʻBRAKE, ON, NEUTRALʻ AND IT DIDNʻT WORK. I FINALLY GOT IT TO START THIS MORNING WHEN I DID THE ʻBRAKE, ON, MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT SIDE TO SIDE IN THE PARK POSITIONʻ BUT WHEN I GOT OFF WORK THIS AFTERNOON, THAT DIDNʻT WORK. INSTEAD, I DID THE ʻBRAKE, ON, NEUTRAL, PARKʻ AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I DONʻT KNOW IF IT WILL WORK TOMORROW THOUGH. IS THERE A PERMANENT RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM BESIDES NOT BUYING ANOTHER CHRYSLER MADE VEHICLE AND JUNKING THE ONE I HAVE?
POWER STEERING RETURN LINE RUPTURES IN COLD WEATHER. THERE IS AN OPEN RECALL FOR SAME MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR BUT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT UNDER THAT RECALL. RECALL #S08. I HAVE HAD THIS ISSUES SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR USED IN 2013. EVERY YEAR WHEN IT GETS COLD OUT I START THE VEHICLE AND THE LINE BURST LEAKING POWER STEERING FLUID EVERYWHERE. I HAVE NOT HAD THE MONEY TO REPLACE THE LINES AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPING FOR 5 YEARS NOW. THIS HAS NOW CREATED A SEAL ON THE POWER STEERING PUMP TO LEAK AS WELL. NOW I HAVE POWER STEERING FLUID ALL OVER MY ENTIRE ENGINE BECAUSE OF THE PUMP LEAKING EVERYWHERE. I CALLED DODGE AND THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL TOLD ME IT'S A VIN SPECIFIC ISSUE AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT WHEN I'M CLEARLY HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. PLEASE HELP!!
I HAD A BIG ACCIDENT AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. *DT VIN IS INVALID. *JB
THE POWER STEERING HOSE RUPTURED CAUSING FAILED STEERING CONTROL ALMOST LEADING TO THE VEHICLE HITTING THE HOUSE. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THE THE HOSE HAS RUPTURED. THE TWO OTHER OCCURRENCES WAS WINTER 2017-2018. THIS ONLY SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE IN COLD WEATHER. I SEE THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE INVOLVING THIS MODEL IF IT CONTAINS A ENGINE OIL COOLER. SEEM THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DESCRIBING THIS SAME ISSUE ON LINE IN THE US AND CANADA.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 203,000.

THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED SMOKE OUTSIDE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BLACKED OUT; HOWEVER, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED JIM BROWNE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM TAMPA BAY AT 813-452-5499 (LOCATED AT 10909 N FLORIDA AVE, TAMPA, FL 33612) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
THE CAR WOULD RANDOMLY FAIL TO START. SOMETIMES THE BATTERY WOULD COMPLETELY DRAIN. PUTTING IT IN NEUTRAL WOULD SOMETIMES WORK BUT NOT ALWAYS.
JOURNEY WOULD NOT START DESPITE HEALTHY BATTERY & OTHER COMPONENTS WHILE STATIONARY. HAD HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR ABOUT 30 MILES OR AFTER SITTING OVERNIGHT. HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE ISSUE. HUNDREDS OF OTHER DODGE OWNERS COMPLAIN IN ONLINE FORUMS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. PROBLEM DIDN'T START UNTIL WE HAD THE RECALL REPAIRS DONE FOR THE IGNITION AND AIRBAGS.
BOUGHT A USED 2009 DODGE JOURNEY IN FEBRUARY, HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AND STARTER IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. SOMETIMES WE CAN START THE CAR NORMALLY, SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO JUMP THE CAR OFF. YESTERDAY, THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OR START, TRIED THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH WHICH ENABLED ME TO PUSH THE JOURNEY BUT STILL WOULD NOT CRANK. RESEARCH ONLINE SHOWS THAT MANY OTHER CONSUMERS HAVE OR ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. I FEEL DODGE NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND FIGURE OUT WHY THESE VEHICLES ARE MALFUNCTIONING. IT'S COSTING US MONEY AND TIME WE DO NOT HAVE TRYING TO CHASE DOWN AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. I EVEN HAD THE PCM CHECKED OUT AND IT TOO WAS IN A GOOD BILL OF HEALTH
DRIVERS SIDE HAS SEMI WARM AIR WHEN HEAT IS ON VENT, PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS COLD. THE DEFROSTER BLOWS FREEZING COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. DOES NOT ALWAYS SWITCH OVER TO DEFROSTER CAUSING IT VERY HARD TO SEE WHEN WINDSHIELD IS FOGGED OVER. ACTUATORS HAVE BEEN CHANGED OUT. REAR HEAT WORKS GREAT.

CAR DOES NOT START AFTER BEING PARKED - SOMETIMES WHEN TURNED OFF FOR A SHORT TIME (LIKE GETTING GASOLINE), SOMETIMES AT THE END OF A WORK DAY OR OVERNIGHT. THE CAR WILL SOMETIMES START ON ITS OWN AFTER LEAVING IT ALONE FOR MORE THAN A FEW HOURS. CAR HAS BEEN INTO SHOP SEVERAL TIMES AND HAS HAD THE FOLLOWING DONE: CHANGED TO NEW BATTERY 2X, CHECKED ALTERNATOR, RAN COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES IN THE PAST YEARS. THE CAR "CLICKS" ONE TIME, POWER WINDOWS AND RADIO STILL WORK. WE ARE AFRAID THIS WILL KEEP HAPPENING.

THIS CAR I BOUGHT FROM THIS GUY SAID NOTHING WRONG , I SAID THIS CAR LOOKS LIKE IT'S NEEN IN A CAR ACCIDENT, HE SAID NOTHING WRONG, SAID I WILL BE 2ND OWNER & A CLEAR TITLE... WRONG, I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A CAR LOT ON 2/16/2018, ON 2/17/2018 HAD TO BUY 3 TIRES & FOUND OUT THE TIE ROD & BALL JOINT WERE HANGING BY A THREAD, MECHANIC SAID THE SALES GUY WOULD HAVE SEEN ALL THIS WHEN HE TOLD ME THEY MOVED THE GOOD TIRES TO THE FRONT & PUT BAD TIRES TO BACK, I HAD TO GET NEW BRAKES FRONT & BACK/ NEW BATTERY, THE AIRBAGS WERE MISSING & I ALMOST GOT HIT BC THE TRANSMISSION STALLED ON ME, THE HISTORY THAT I FOUND OUT WITH THIS 2009 DODGE JOURNEY SXT WAS ALREADY IN A ACCIDENT ON 10/18/2017 BC THE TRANSMISSION STALLED, I HAD TO HA TO PUT LOTS OF $$$ INTO THIS VEHICLE THAT I DID NOT WANT TO DO, TO TOP THAT OFF, I HAD TO CALL CANADA & THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE ME AS THE NEW OWNER, I FOUND OUT THE CASH I PAID THE GUY HAD TO PAY OFF A LEON THAT WAS ON THIS CAR, THEN AFTER HE PAID IT, I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL LEON WAS PAID OFF IN FULL,THE COMPANY THAT HAD A LEIN DIDN'T KNOW I BOUGHT THIS CAR & I HAD TO CALL CANADA TO GIVE THEM UPDATED INFO THAT I BOUGHT THE CAR IF &4,263 CASH BC GUY WOULDN'T TAKE A CHECK OR MONEY ORDER/ NOR CASHIERS CHECK, THE LEMON LAW LAWYER I CALLED ON 2/17/2018 I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO STOP PAYMENT BC THE SALES GUY LIED TO ME & SOLD ME A BAD CAR, THE CAR IS IN THE REPAIR SHOP SINCE SEPT 12,2018BC OF THE TRANSMISSION, MANUFACTURING ISSUE THAT I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH, MY SISTER OPENED A GOFUNDME ME PAGE TO RAISE $$. AFTERWARDS, WHILE DRIVING AT UNKNOWN SPEEDS, SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, THE OTHER REMAINING DOORS FAILED TO LOCK, AND THE WINDOWS FAILED TO OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE DAY ONE OF BUYING THIS CAR. INTERMITTENTLY LAGS OR DOES NOT START FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. RADIO GOES IN AND OUT LIGHTS COME ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. SOMETIME THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORK SOMETIMES THEY DONT NO ONE KNOWS WHY. GOT STUCK IN A PARKING GARAGE FOR NINE HOURS ONE DAY BECAUSE THE CAR LOST ALL POWER COULD NOT PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND I COULD NOT FIND A TOW TRUCK SMALL ENOUGH TO TOW ME OUT. THEN 9 HOURS LATER IT STARTED. NOW I SMELL BURNING UNDER THE DASH AND MY AC ONLY WORKS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHILE THE DRIVER SIDE BLOWS OUT HOT. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE WIRING OF THIS CAR. THIS CAR HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP OVER 20 TIME UNDER WARRANTY FOR ALMOST ALL THE SAME PROBLEM WITH JO RESOLVE. THEY CANT RECREATION THE PROBLEMS SO I PAY DEDUCTABLES AND RENTAL CAR FEES TO GET BACK THE SAME BROKEN CAR.

FAULTY TIPM . CAR STARTS INTERMITTENTLY. DEALERSHIPS AND ALL MECHANICS ARE UNABLE TO RESOLVE. THERE ARE DODGE FORUMS EVERYWHERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM WHY WONT DODGE RECALL IT ALREADY? MY ANTITHEFT LIGHT COMES ON AND DISABLES THE CAR. WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR, SOME DAYS IT STARTS AND SOME DAYS IT DOESN'T. NO ERROR CODES COMING UP. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH, AND STARTER.

THE IMPACT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BECOME AIRBORNE AND WAS THROWN TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY CAUSING HER HEAD TO SNAP BACK AND FORTH. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LEG, BROKEN RIBS, NECK AND HEAD INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 126,000.

HORN RANDOMLY SOUNDS OFF WHILE PARKED, WHILE DRIVING. STARTED JULY 2018. AUGUST 2018 TOOK TO A DEALERSHIP, WHO COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. ALSO, WROTE TO CHRYSLER CORPORATION NOTING THE PROBLEM. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF THE PROBLEM. CHRYSLER KEPT REFERRING ME TO DEALERSHIP. NO HELP FROM EITHER. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM AND CAN CAUSE THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING. AS OF SEPTEMBER 15,2018, NEITHER DEALERSHIP NOR CHRYSLER CORP WILL LISTEN TO ME ABOUT THE TIPM ISSUE. I NOW DRIVE WITH NO HORN (FOUND OUT HOW TO REMOVE THE FUSES), CAUSING A HUGE SAFETY RISK. I NEED HELP AND NO ONE WILL HELP WITH THIS PROLEM. MY CAR IS UNUSABLE IF I LEAVE FUSES IN...DANGEROUS IF I TAKE FUSES OUT.
CAR EXPERIENCES INTERMITTENT IGNITION FAILURE. WHILE STATIONARY WITH KEY IN IGNITION, IT WILL CLICK BUT NOT START. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, AND STARTER BUT IT CONTINUES TO HAVE ISSUES STARTING OVER THE PAST 3 MONTHS. SOMETIMES IT WILL START FINE, BUT OTHER TIMES IT TAKES SEVERAL TRIES OVER A PERIOD OF 30 MINUTES. THE MECHANICS CANNOT FIND THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM EVEN WHEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE.
JUST REPLACED BATTERY. WAS WORKING AND STARTING FINE AFTER REPLACING FOR A FEW WEEKS. WENT TO WORK YESTERDAY MORNING AND LEFT FOR LUNCH WITH NO ISSUES. WENT TO START CAR TO RETURN TO WORK AFTER LUNCH AND WOULDN'T TURN OVER AT ALL. I WOULD TURN THE KEY AND GET ONE CLICK BUT NOT TURNING OVER. MY RADIO, LIGHTS AND WINDOWS ALL WORK WHEN KEY IS IN THE ON POSITION. CHARGED THE BATTERY FOR NEARLY 40 MINUTES AND STILL NO START ONLY A CLICK. HAVE ALSO HAD ON-GOING ISSUES WITH WIRING HARNESSES THROUGHOUT VEHICLE.
HORN HAS STARTED HONKING INTERMITTENTLY, USUALLY WHILE STATIONARY AND USUALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT (THIS STARTED MID JUNE OF 2018). LAST NIGHT, STARTING AT 12:30AM, THE HORN HAS SOUNDED AT LEAST ONCE OR SEVERAL TIMES EVERY HOUR. CHANGING BATTERY IN REPLACEMENT KEY FOB HAS DONE NOTHING. (KEY FOB WAS RECALLED AND REPLACED SEVERAL YEARS AGO). CAN'T GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH A LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP FOR A WEEK SO HAVE NO IDEA WHY THIS IS HAPPENING.
