THE CONTACT ALSO RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V047000 (AIR BAGS). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000. WHILE STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT I HEARD A LOUD BANG THAT AT FIRST, MADE ME THINK SOMEONE HAD RAN INTO THE BACK OF MY JOURNEY. WHEN I REALIZED THAT WASN'T THE CASE, I STEPPED ON THE GAS TO GO, BUT IT DIDN'T, THINKING I HAD KNOCKED IT OUT OF GEAR, I HAD MOVED THE GEARSHIFT INTO PARK THEN INTO DRIVE AND DROVE TO MY PART TIME JOB. AFTER GETTING OFF AT 7PM, I GOT ON THE EXPRESSWAY TO GO HOME, ONCE I STARTED GOING THE SPEED LIMIT 55MPH, I HEARD ANOTHER BANG NOISE AND THE TRUCK WAS LOOSING SPEED, SO I PULLED OVER AND CALLED ROADSIDE. AFTER FINALLY GETTING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY WERE ABOUT TO TAKE IT OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND THE SERVICE TECH HEARD THE BANG NOISE. THEY PUT ON THE LIFT AND FOUND THAT THE TRANSFER CASE HAD CRACKED.
MY DODGE JOURNEY WILL NOT ALWAYS START IT WILL JUST CLICK THEN AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT WILL START. MY DRIVERS SIDE DOOR THE POWER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK IT JUST STOPPED WORKING. NOW MY GEAR SHIFT DOES NOT WANT TO SHIFT INTO GEAR, START THE CAR UP THE CAS TRACTION LIGHT IS ON AND THE GEAR WILL BE STUCK. SO I HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF SEVERAL TIMES THEN I AM ABLE TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO GET IN YOUR CAR AND YOU CANNOT EITHER START IT OR IT JUST DO NOT MOVE .

WHILE DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 45 MPH ON A ROAD THAT IS RATED FOR 55 MPH, THE LEFT DRIVER SIDE TIRE SEPARATED FROM THE CAR. WHILE TRYING TO CONTROL THE CAR BY HITTING THE BRAKES THE CAR SPEED BEGAN TO INCREASED.
BACK DOORS ON BOTH SIDES FILL UP WITH WATER WHEN IT RAINS OR CAR IS WASHED. YOU CAN HEARN THE WATER SLOSSHING IN RHE DOOR WHEN YOU SWING THE DOOR.

VEHICLE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER WHILE DRIVING, ENGINE DIED, WITH ASSOCIATED LOSS OF STEERING POWER, BRAKING POWER, ETC. AFTER STOPPING, PLACING TRANSMISSION IN PARK, REMOVING KEY ("FOBIK"), AND REPLACING IT BACK TO TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH, ELECTRICAL POWER RETURNED AND ENGINE STARTED. I HAD JUST EXITED THE STREET INTO A PARKING LOT (LOSS OF POWER OCCURRED AS I COMPLETED RETURNING THE STEERING WHEEL TO CENTER AFTER TURNING FROM STREET) AND STALLED BLOCKING TRAFFIC THROUGH THE LOT UNTIL I RESTARTED THE ENGINE.
WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE, WHEN YOU GO TO USE THE BRAKES THEY BECOME 'MUSHY'. YOU HAVE TO PUSH ON THE BRAKES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE VEHICLE WILL EVEN TRY TO STOP. WE HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKES ALREADY SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE AND NOW NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. YESTERDAY WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, TRAFFIC CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I HAD TO PUSH ON THE BRAKES VERY HARD. THE TIRES ACTUALLY SQUEALED, THE CAR JERKED, AND YOU COULD FEEL THE BRAKE GIVE A JERKING FEELING BELOW MY FOOT. FORTUNATELY, I DID NOT HAVE MY BABIES WITH ME THIS TIME. ANOTHER INCIDENT THAT HAS HAPPENED THIS WEEK IS WHEN THE TIRES SQUEALED WHEN I WAS TRYING TO TURN RIGHT AT A LIGHT AND COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN ENOUGH ON A DECLINE. THIS IS VERY SCARY AND I HOPE THIS IS FIXED VERY SOON. I HAVE LOOKED AT OTHER SITES AND NOTICE THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF BRAKE ISSUES WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE.
I WAS ON INTERSTATE 55 GOING NORTH WHEN MY TIRE BLEW OUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO MY CAR. THERE WAS NO WARNING OR ANY OTHER VARIABLEL THAT CAUSED IT IT JUST BLEW OUT WHILE I WS GOING ABOUT 70 MILES AN HOUR. I PURCHASED THIS TIRE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO BRAND NEW SO I WAS TOLD AT THE PLACE WHERE I PURCHASED IT. I COULD HAVE HURT OR KILLED BUT THANK GOD I DID NOT PANIC. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK THANK GOD MY WIFE WAS NOT IN IT WHEN IT BLEW OUT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS LATER DRIVEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR. THE MASTER CYLINDER, ROTORS, BRAKE CALIBER, AND ALL FOUR BRAKES WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,924.
MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO 3 MECHANICS, REPLACED THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD 2 TIMES AND THE LIGHT KEEPS COMING BACK ON. THERE'S A RECALL ON VEHICLES FOR 2011, BUT NOT FOR 2009. PER ALEX AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP, THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG.

LET IT BE NOTED THAT AFTER THE R03 RECALL ALL THE FOLLOWING ISSUES STARTED OCCURRING. FIRST INCIDENT: DRIVING ABOUT 30MPH EVERY LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD EXCEPT THE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, GAUGES SPUN AROUND AND BACK AND FORTH, THEN STOPPED ALL TOGETHER, THE RMP'S REVVED UP TO 5OOO AND THE ACCELERATOR WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO ACTION AS IF THE CAR WAS OFF. THERE WAS A OBVIUOUS LOSS OF POWER, THE CAR WAS HESITATING LIKE IT WANTED TO STALL OUT, AND THE VEHICLE ONCE STOPPED DID NOT START AGAIN UNTIL BEING JUMPED. ONCE STARTED, NONE OF THE LIGHT WERE ON EXCEPT, ODDLY NOW, THE ENGINE LIGHT WHICH THREW CODES PO0562 & PO700. THE BATTERY READ 12.2V ON THE DIAGNOSTIC WHILE OFF THEN 14.4 WHEN THE CAR WAS STARTED(AFTER BEING JUMPED FOR 1 MINUTE ONLY). 5 MINUTES INTO THE DRIVE AND BOOM, THE DEMON TOOK OVER THE CAR AGAIN BUT NOW THE CAR WOULD NOT GO PST MAYBE 7MPH, AGAIN IN ACCELERATOR POWER,NO SHIFTING, ALL POWER STILL ON IN THE CAR, BUT SEEMS LOW ON POWER. ONCE TURNED OFF, IT WOULD NOT START BUT STILL HAD POWER. AGAIN, GOT JUMPED, DIAGNOSTIC, AND SAME CODES, ALTERNATOR FINE, BATTERY FINE, SEEMS TO BE GETTING POOR CONNECTION. STARTED 2 DAYS LATER AND LOUD, UNSTABLE IDLE, WON'T SWITCH GEARS SEEMS AS IF ITS ON BUT RUNNING OFF OF STORED POWER. DEALER NOW SAYS ONLY CODE IS PO622. SYMPTOMS ARE SEEMING TO BE THE TIPM ALL OVER AGAIN. AGAIN, NONE OF THIS STARTED UNTIL I TOOK IT TO DODGE TO HAVE THE RO3 RECALL REPAIRED. THE KEY SINCE ALSO DOES NOT REGISTER AT TIMES, WILL SAY "MISMATCH KEY" ON DASHBOARD, ALL SENSORS FLASH THEN GO AWAY SUCH AS (GASCAP, DOOR AJAR, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD IGNITE WITH NO CODE, GATE, KEY), WOULDN'T TURN OVER, FREQUENT :DEAD BATTERY" THEN STARTS WITHOUT JUMP FEW MINUTES LATER. OVERTIME THE CAR WILL ACT POSSESSED WITH ALL LIGHTS ON IS AFTER HITTING A BUMP, AGAIN CHRYSLER DEALER RECALL DEPARTMENT IS STATING TIPM, DEWLAP WILL NOT CHECK THAT WHILE DIAGNOSING. HELP!
WHEN DRIVING, ENGINE LIGHT CONSISTENTLY CAME ON. HAD VEHICLE REPEATEDLY CHECKED. IT WAS DETERMINED MANIFOLDS WERE STICKING. HAD MANIFOLD MODULE REPLACED. THIS SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MONTHS. MANIFOLDS WERE AGAIN CHECKED TO ENSURE THEY WERE OPERATING PROPERLY. THEY WERE AND STILL ARE. HOWEVER, ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON INDICATING OTHERWISE. MECHANIC SAID IT IS A COMMON "FLUKE" IN THE CHRYSLER VEHICLES. *TR
WHEN I START THE CAR TO PUT IN DRIVE , THE SEAT BELT LIGHT COME ON, I TOOK IT TO SPARTANS TO GET CHECKED OUT ANY TOLD ME IS A AIRBAG MALFUNCTION, HE CALLED TO GET THE PART FOR THE CAR AND CHRYSLER SAY IT WAS BACKED UP ON THE PART

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
A PLASTIC PIECE HOLD TWO MALE HOSES TOGETHER MELTED FROM THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE'S MANIFOLD CAUSING THE ENGINE TO REACH POSSIBLE DAMAGING TEMPERATURE DUE TO THE LOSS OF COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND STREET BEFORE THE VEHICLE STARTED TO STEAM FROM COOLANT LOSS ONTO THE MANIFOLD. THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT MELTED WAS ENOUGH TO CAUSE A SMALL FIRE ON THE MANIFOLD.
CAR WAS BOUGHT 02/2016. STARTING HAVING START AND ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IN MARCH 2016 CONTACTED DEALERSHIP IN MAY 2016 HAD KEY REPLACED AND ELECTRICAL REPLACED IN JULY CAR WAS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. OPENED A CASE WITH DODGE, AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE UNTIL THE DEALERSHIP CAN DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THE CAR STARTS INTERMITTENTLY, RADIO WILL TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING AND TURN ON AT FULL VOLUME THE ONLY HAPPENS IF YOU DRIVE THE CAR. I WILL NOT HAPPEN IF IT SITS IN A PARKING LOG BEING STOPPED AND STARTED EVERY DAY. CAR FAX WILL SHOW THAT THE KEYS AND ELECTRICAL HAVE NOW BEEN REPLACED TWICE.
THE IN-TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR FAILED. THE CAR WAS TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THIS WAS A SUDDEN LOSS OF TIRE PRESSURE. THE TIRE WENT FLAT IS LESS THAN 1 SECOND. THE TIRE WAS SHREDDED AND DESTROYED.

I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH LAST NIGHT AND HAD TO STOP ABRUPTLY TO AVOID A DEER. I WEIGH ABOUT 220 LBS AND THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE BROKE. THIS ALLOWED THE BELT TO UNFASTEN. LUCKILY I DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING AND DIDN'T REALLY NEED THE BELT BECAUSE OF THE SLOW SPEED AND THE FACT THAT NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED. IF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN A MORE SEVERE CRASH, I COULD HAVE SUFFERED SIGNIFICANT INJURIES OR DEATH. I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS. I HAVE THE OLD PART IN MY POSSESSION IF YOU WANT TO INSPECT.

NOW IT IS DOING IT AGAIN AND I NEVER KNOW WHETHER OR NOT IT IS GOING TO START. I'VE BEEN STRANDED MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAD TO GET IT TOWED HOME. MY LIGHTS RADIO AND EVERYTHING WORK THE CAR JUST WON'T START AND I ONLY GET CLICKING SOUND. ITS NOT THE BATTERY AND NOT THE STARTER. WE HAVE FOUND DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY FOR A LITTLE WHILE WILL RESET THE COMPUTER AND THEN IT WILL START. HOWEVER I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. IF IT DOESN'T START I HAVE TO WAIT FOR MY HUSBAND TO COME GET ME AND DO IT. MY CAR HAS BEEN RECALLED MANY TIMES FOR DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND I THINK THE SHOULD BE HELD RESPOSIBLE FOR THIS TOO. YOUR CAR NOT STARTING IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU ARE OR IF HAVE CHILDREN WITH YOU ON A HOT DAY. WE HAD OUR GRANDSON WITH US ONE DAY LAST MONTH AND GOT STRANDED, WE PARKED THE CAR AND CAME BACK AN HOUR LATER AND WOULDN'T START. ALL LIGHTS AND RADIO CAME ON. WE CALLED FOR A JUMP FROM ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THEY SAID AN HOUR AND HALF WAIT. WE WENT BACK IN THE STORE FOR AN HOUR AND CAME OUT TO SEE IF IT WOULD START AND IT DID. NO JUMP OR ANYTHING!
