2009 DODGE JOURNEY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED ALL FOUR WHEELS WERE LOCKED WHICH LEFT THE VEHICLE IMMOBILE. THE BRAKE PADS, ROTORS, CALIPERS AND MASTER CYLINDER WERE ALL REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE STILL CAN'T BE DRIVEN. *JB

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE RECALL NOTICE ISSUES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED HE PURCHASED A KEY IN MARCH 2015 FOR $224 AND THE KEY DOES NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. ALSO, THE LOCK BUTTON AND THE TWO KEYS THE DEALER GAVE THE CONSUMER WORKED INTERMITTENTLY. *JB
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WHEEL WILL LOCK UP AND CUT OFF. NO WARNING I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MECHANICS WHO SAID NOTHING IS WRONG. I HAVE BEEN DEALING THIS SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR. ALSO FRONT BRAKES WHERE OUT I RECENTLY HAD TO CHANGE THE BRAKE CALIBER IN THE FRONT OF VEHICLE.
I RECEIVED NOTICE THAT MY VEHICLE WAS ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THE WIN MODULE AND L25 SAFETY RECALL. I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER THE VERY NEXT DAY. THIS WAS IN MAY 2015. I WAS INFORMED THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE AND THAT I WOULD BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST. RECENTLY MY VEHICLE HAS STARTED SHUTTING OFF AFTER I CRANK IT. SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE JUST CRANKED IT BUT OTHER TIMES I AM MOVING SUCH AS BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY OR PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT. I RECALLED THE DEALER AND THEY STILL TOLD ME THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE.
I PURCHASED A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY IN MARCH 2015. IT GAVE ME NO ISSUES UNTIL AFTER I COMPLETED THE KEY FOB RECALL IN AUGUST 2015. SINCE THEN, IT WOULD RANDOMLY NOT START. IT WAS IN AND OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND THE FOLLOWING PARTS WERE REPLACED, ALL OF WHICH WERE COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED WITH THE VEHICLE: FUEL INJECTOR ON OCT. 9, A NEW BATTERY ON OCT. 29, 2015, A NEW STARTER ON NOV. 16, 2015, A LEAKING OVERFLOW CONTAINER ON NOV. 24, 2015, THE TIPM WAS REPLACED ON APRIL 11, 2016, AND MOST RECENTLY ELECTRICAL WIRES AND CABLES ON JUNE 7, 2016, WHICH HOOK UP TO THE STARTER. I CALLED CHRYSLER HEADQUARTERS ON OR ABOUT MAY 2 TO REPORT THESE ISSUES AND I RECEIVED VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE IS TOO OLD AND HAS TOO MUCH MILEAGE FOR THEM TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME. THE JOURNEY HAS HAD EPISODES ALMOST EVERY DAY, SOMETIMES MORE THAN ONCE A DAY, OF NOT STARTING SINCE I GOT IT BACK LAST WEEK. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME WHEN IT DOES ACT UP, TO PUT IT IN NEUTRAL, WHICH HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN GETTING THE VEHICLE TO START. THEY ARE TAKING IT BACK ON MONDAY TO REPLACE YET ANOTHER PART THAT THEY HOPE WILL FINALLY BE THE ANSWER TO THIS ONGOING NIGHTMARE, BUT I'M NOT GETTING MY HOPES UP. IF WE WEREN'T IN AN UPSIDE-DOWN LOAN, WE WOULD HAVE TRADED IN THE JOURNEY A LONG TIME AGO. IT IS NOT A RELIABLE VEHICLE'LUCKILY I HAVEN'T BEEN STRANDED IN A REMOTE LOCATION AT NIGHT, BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT THAT I SHOULD HAVE TO RESORT TO TAKING THAT CHANCE. I'VE NEVER HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE I'VE OWNED!

I WAS DRIVING TO EXIT THE HOSPITAL WHEN FOR THE 4TH TIME SINCE I'VE HAD THE DODGE THE BREAKS WENT COMPLETELY OUT THEN LOCKED UP A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE BACK TIRES LOCKED UP WITH THE BREAKS. I'VE CHANGED THEM 4 TIMES IN THE 6 MONTHS I'VE HAD THE CAR, THEY GET FIXED AND 2 WEEKS LATER THE BREAKS ARE BAD AGAIN. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS IF I WERE ON THE HIGHWAY IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A ACCIDENT. THIS CAR WAS POORLY MADE ESPECIALLY THE BREAKS.

I HAVE BEEN TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS TO HAVE THIS RECALL REPAIRED AND I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. MY CAR TAKES SEVERAL TRIES TO START. THE LAST DEALERSHIP GAVE ME NEW KEYS AND SAID THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED BUT IT IS NOT FIXED. THE DEALERSHIP ONLY WANTS TO SELL US A NEW CAR. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR. WE REALLY LIKE DODGE BUT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY DISAPPOINTING. WE WON'T BE GETTING ANOTHER DODGE. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO TO GET OUR VEHICLE FIXED? MY 2009 DODGE JOURNEY HAS LESS THAN 18000 MILES ON IT, I DRIVE A TOTAL OF 9-10 MILES BOTH WAYS TO WORK. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE BRAKES TWICE FOR RUSTING OUT. PEEVED AT THE TECH'S COMMENT "YOU DON'T DRIVE IT ENOUGH" AS IF I AM STUPID WOMAN. IN 2010 I ASK FOR MY TIRES TO BE CHECKED CAUSE THEY WERE CONSTANTLY LOW, LOOKING AT MY INVOICE FROM 1/18/10 I ASKED FOR THEM TO BE CHECKED AND ALL THEY DID WAS CORRECT PRESSURE. NOW I HEAR ABOUT THESE STEMS PREMATURELY CRACKING AND AFTER JUST BUYING MY FIRST REPLACEMENT SET OF TIRES WAS TOLD, 3 OF THE STEMS ARE CRACKED AND THEY (TIRE DEALER, NOT CAR DEALER) COULDN'T REPLACE CAUSE THEY HAVE SOME SENSOR CHIP IN THEM. IN ADDITION, THE TIRES WOULD CONSISTENTLY LOSE PRESSURE UNTIL THE STEMS ARE REPLACED.
