IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AROUND 3AM OUR CARS HORN ALARM STARTED TO GO OFF CONTINUOUSLY! NO MATTER WHAT WE DID IT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF UNTIL IT WANTED TO! THE NEXT MORNING OUR CAR WOULD NOT START AT ALL. MY HUSBAND JUMPED IT, AND IT STARTED. LATER ON THAT DAY THE HORN STARTED GOING OFF AGAIN, SO MY HUSBAND UNHOOKED OUR HORN SO WE DIDN'T KEEP WAKING UP OUR NEIGHBORS. AND WE REPLACED OUR BATTERY. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, IT STILL KEPT DYING. I COULD DRIVE THE CAR ALL DAY, STOP AND GET A COKE, AND THE THE CAR WOULDN'T START WHEN I CAME OUT; IT WAS OFF FOR 2 MINS. SO I CALLED THE CHRYSLER RECALL LINE, THERE WAS A RECALL SO I JUST HAD THE RECALL FIXED TODAY. I GOT HOME, WE HOOKED UP THE HORN AND IT'S STILL HAPPENING. HORN WON'T SHUT OFF AND NOW MY CAR WON'T START AGAIN. AND THE RECALL PEOPLE SAID THERE IS NOTHING MORE THEY CAN DO. I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE MARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, AND THERE IS NO RECALL? SERIOUSLY? SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE. MY CAR IS NOT SAFE AT ALL! AND DEFINITELY NOT RELIABLE. WE HAVE A CHRONICALLY ILL CHILD AND I NEED A CAR CAN RELY ON TO START WHEN HE NEEDS TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL, AND CHRYSLER SEEMS NOT TO CARE AT ALL. WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT, BUT OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH IT, WHEN IT KEEP HAPPENING. PLEASE HELP LOOK INTO THIS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MODULE MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
MY CAR PICKS WHEN IT WANTS TO CRANK. SOMETIMES IT CRANKS BY KEY MANUALLY AND OTHER TIMES I WALK OUTSIDE TO TAKE THE TRASH OUT, KEY NO WHERE NEAR ME, THE TRUCK IS RUNNING. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WOULD JUST LOSE POWER. THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF. THE CARS ALARM WOULD JUST RANDOMLY GO OFF ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT AND DAY. FOR A FULL YEAR NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THE POWER KEPT DRAINING FROM THE BATTERY EVEN AFTER I PURCHASED AN ALMOST $200 BATTERY. I TOOK IT TO PRECISION TUNE FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST, AFTER TWO DAYS THEY STILL COULDN'T FIND A PROBLEM AND FINALLY ON DAY THREE I CALL TO FIND OUT IT WAS THE TIPM, A PART THAT'S OVER $1000. WELL THIS PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND HAS BEEN SINCE JANUARY WITH DODGE. THERE IS NO ESTIMATED DATE OF WHEN THEY'LL RESTOCK AND THERE IS ALMOST 400 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF ME. WITH THIS MANY PROBLEMS THIS PART SHOULD BE RECALLED.
MADE A LEFT HAND TURN AND SUDDENLY THE AIR CONDITIONER, RADIO, LIGHTS, WINDOWS STOPPED WORKING. DROVE TO A LOT AND PULLED OVER AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON. THEN MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND EVERYTHING SHUT OFF AGAIN. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND EVERYTHING CAME BACK AND HAS WORKED FINE SO FAR. HOWEVER, THE CAR WOULDN'T START EARLIER WHEN TURNED ON. HAD TO START THE CAR 3 TIMES BEFORE IT CAME ON.
BRAKES HAVE BEEN A MAJOR ISSUE ON THIS VEHICLE. WE HAVE HAD TO REPLACE BRAKES, ROTORS AND CALIPERS MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NOT TO MENTION THE TIRES ALSO. THE FIRST TIME THEY WERE REPLACED, THE CAR HAD LESS THAN 36,000 MILES. SINCE THAT TIME THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED MULTIPLE TIMES, WITH THE LAST TIME BEING IN THE LAST 30 DAYS. IT IS LIKE THERE IS SOME TYPE OF DESIGN FLAW IN THE BRAKING SYSTEM, THAT CAUSES THE BRAKES AND TIRES TO BOTH WEAR OUT QUICKLY. LAST NIGHT THE BRAKING SYSTEM CAUGHT FIRE ON THIS VEHICLE, LUCKY I HAD JUST PULLED IN MY PARKING SPOT WHEN THEY STARTED BURNING AND DIDN'T HAVE MY CHILDREN WITH ME. FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOTIFIED AND THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT BY THEM. I HAVE NOTICED THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THE JOURNEY THAT HAS HAD BRAKE AND TIRE ISSUES. NOW I AM STUCK WITHOUT ANY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION THANKS TO THE BRAKES CATCHING FIRE (WARPING RIMS AND MELTED TIRES FROM IT). THANKFULLY NO ONE WAS INJURED.

UNABLE TO START CAR. NO POWER WHATSOEVER, HOWEVER LIGHTS FLASHED. COULD NOT LOCK CAR. CAR PARKED IN A FRIENDS DRIVEWAY. THOUGHT IT COULD BE THE IGNITION SWITCH. HAVE INVOICE FROM JIM BROWNE JEEP & DODGE, TAMPA, FL REPLACING THE IGNITION SWITCH (UNABLE TO SCAN).
THIS IS REGARDS TO RECALL R03 ON A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. I HAVE BEEN A A RECALL LIST FOR MANY MONTHS. MY VEHICLE TWICE NOW HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING FOR NO REASON. AFTER HAVING THE CAR LOOKED AT AND SPENDING MONEY I DON'T HAVE, IT WAS DETERMINED IT WAS DUE TO THIS RECALL. I HAVE MADE CALLS TO THE DEALER AND TO CHRYSLER. ALL I AM TOLD IS THESE PARTS ARE ON RESTRICTION AND THEY ARE SORRY BUT THEY CAN NOT HELP ME TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF AT THIS TIME. WHY IS CHRYSLER NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF IT'S DRIVERS. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING HE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN KILLED. WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF? WHEN I AM ABLE TO AFFORD ANOTHER CAR IT WILL NOT BE A CHRYSLER PRODUCT OF ANY KIND.

MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY SXT SHUT DOWN ON ME 5 TIME ON THE HIGHWAY. AT DIFFENT TIME I TOOK IT TO THE DODGE DEALER IN WILMINGTON NC BUT THEY SAID THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IF NOTHING WRONG WITH IT WHY DID IT SHUT DOWN ON ME.

ALSO, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO A RECALL ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER BUT DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART NEEDED WAS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
BREAKS HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT LEAST EVERY 2 MONTHS. MY CAR CONTINUES TO OVERHEAT AND WE HAVE THE THERMOSTAT 5 DIFFERENT TIMES. WE HAVE TO KEEP TURNING THE KEY OFF AND ON TIL THE CAR DECIDES TO START. I HAVE CONTACTED THE PEOPLE ABOUT THIS AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THERE IS NO RECALL FOR MY VIN NUMBER. IT NEEDS TO BE ADDED BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE WITH MORE THAN JUST MY CAR. I WILL CONTACT AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE NOW THAT IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY TELL ME I WILL HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE ISSUES RESOLVED THE START ISSUE IS OF COURSE STATIONARY THE BREAK PROBLEM IS WHILE DRIVING AND SO IS THE OVER HEATING ISSUE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD HEARD A SCRAPING NOISE AND THE FRONT BUMPER WAS TALKING OFF AND THE BUMPER BAR WAS LOOSE. THESE ARE APPARENTLY VERY DANGEROUS CARS AND ALL SHOULD BE RECALLED
HORN IS HONKING AT RANDOM ON 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY 55+ MPH, STREETS 10+ MPH, AND WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP HAS UPGRADED SOFTWARE & ISSUED A NEW KEY FOB TO ME FOR MORE THAN $500 IN FEES BUT THE ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. THE HORN HONKING IS A SAFETY ISSUE AT STOP LIGHTS AND IN TRAFFIC AS I AM CAUSING DRIVERS AROUND ME TO BE ALARMED FOR NO REASON. I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH WINDOWS & DOOR LOCKS ACTIVATING AT RANDOM. THE DOOR LOCK AND WINDOW ISSUES SEEM TO HAVE BEEN RESOLVED WITH THE NEW KEY FOB BUT THE HORN IS STILL HONKING.

MY COMPLAINT IS REGARDING SAFETY RECALL # R03 / NHTSA 14V-373 THIS IS A FCA, FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES RECALL FOR WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE AND IS THE SECOND SUCH RECALL COVERING THE SAME ISSUE ON MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. MY ISSUE: I HAVE THE RECALL PAPERWORK AND FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE WORK DONE. MY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN GREENWOOD, IN , TOM O'BRIEN, ADVISES ME THAT CHRYSLER HAS CANCELED THE PARTS THAT WERE ON ORDER BASED ON THE RECALL. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME CHRYSLER HAS CANCELED THE REPAIR PARTS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL. I AM CONCERNED BECAUSE THIS ISSUE CAN POTENTIALLY SHUT OFF THE ENGINE WHILE IN OPERATION AND I DRIVE EXTENSIVELY FOR MY JOB. PLEASE ADVISE AND PROVIDE ANY HELP YOU CAN TO EXPLAIN WHY CHRYSLER IS ALLOWED TO CANCEL THE PARTS NEEDED BY THE DEALERSHIP TO EFFECT MY RECALL REPAIR. IT SEEMS TO ME THEY ARE JUST APPEASING NHTSA BY HAVING THE RECALL THEN NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH, CANCELING THE ACTUAL PARTS--FRUSTRATING THE VEHICLE OWNERS AND THE DEALERSHIPS. THIS RECALL ISSUE COULD POTENTIALLY COST LIVES AND CHRYSLER IS BEING ALLOWED TO CANCEL THE REPAIR PARTS ORDERS PLACED BY THE DEALERSHIPS? OUR ESP & BAS LIGHTS ARE ON EVERY MINUTE THE CAR IS ON, AND ABOVE THESE IS A LIT UP PICTURE OF A CAR W/ SQUIGGLY LINES BELOW IT. WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO AUTOZONE, O'REILLY'S AUTO PARTS, INTERSTATE ALL BATTERY CENTER, AND WAL-MART, AND HAD THE CAR HOOKED UP TO THEIR SYSTEM THAT READY CODES/ERRORS AND DETERMINES WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. EVERY SINGLE PLACE COULD NOT GET A READING THAT INDICATED ANY REASON FOR THE LIGHTS BEING ON. IN FACT, ALL RESULTS KEPT COMING BACK AS, "NO ERRORS FOUND." WHEN WE CALLED TO EXPLAIN THIS TO THE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALERSHIP, THEY COULD NOT TELL US ANY REASON AS TO WHY THESE LIGHT WOULD BE ON, AND ADVISED THAT IT WOULD COST $100 TO HOOK UP TO THEIR ERROR-READING SYSTEM. I DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY TRIED AT SEVERAL PLACES. THIS IS ANOTHER WAY FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO REEL ME IN AND TRY TO SCAM MONEY OUT OF ME AND THEN WHEN I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS TO CONSTANTLY DROP ON THIS PIECE OF CRAP, THEY CHARGE ME THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND I LEAVE WITH MORE PROBLEMS THAN I CAME WITH. THESE DEALERSHIPS ARE A SCAM, AND BECAUSE I'M FEMALE, THEY TRY TO GET ME TO PAY FOR EVERY REPAIR POSSIBLE, CLAIMING THEY ARE CRITICAL REPAIRS. WE JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST YEAR, & WE WERE NOT OFFERED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.
