The dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the ABS brake module part had been discontinued. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 107,000.
Stirring wheel fluid hose has burst during cold weather, and will lose control of wheel. My car wasn’t listed in the recall for that said issue for other dodge journey’s. I had it repair ones and now its doing it again.

The vehicle was repaired, however, the failure recurred while the vehicle was stopped at a stop sign, and the contact saw flames coming from the hood. The contact exited the vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. A fire report was filed. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. No injuries were sustained. The contact was informed that the fire started in the manifold. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not able to restart after each failure. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The contact stated that his friend replaced the fuel pump an additional four times. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump or TIPM sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that while his daughter was coming to a complete stop at a stop sign, the vehicle was rear-ended by a distracted driver. The air bags did not deploy, resulting in injury. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. Although examined at the scene by EMS, the contact's daughter later transported herself to an area hospital, where she was treated for a concussion and a nondescript injury to her left knee requiring surgery. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 167,000.
Defrost doesn’t work due to no heat on passenger side. Heater core replaced and has to be flushed out every year. Research on the internet says this is a common issue but no recall.
You can read online anywhere that the ECU is a MAJOR problem. My car battery dies everytime i shut it off. Ive replace the battery 8 times, the alternator 4 times. Had countless amout of diagnostic tests done on it. Still nothing. Come to find out its the ECU which i cant afford to replace as its over $800 to repair. Look online and you'll see almost everyone with a journey has this problem. When it causes my car to shut off while driving, it becomes a serious safety issue as i always have 4 small children with me. 3 three year olds and a 6 year old. Nobody wants a dodge because of the problems associated with it. Please fix this. Please.

SPEED IS HORRIBLE I DON'T NO WHERE TO START
BREAK CALIPERS LOCK UP WHEN DRIVING. THEY HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND CONTINUE TO DO THIS
THERE ARE MANY MANY AS IN HUGE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS OF THIS JOURNEY VEHICLE NOT STARTING BECAUSE KEEPING A CHARGE. WE HAVE HAD TO BUY AND HAVE DEALER INSTALL THREE BATTERIES IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS. FOUND ONE PROBLEM, LEAVING A CD IN THE PLAYER CAUSES THE BATTERY TO DRAIN. CANNOT FIND ANY OTHER. PLEASE HELP.
THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUTS OFF AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND HAS SIGNIFICANT TROUBLE RESTARTING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN INSPECTED OVER 10 TIMES BY AN ASC CERTIFIED MECHANIC FOR THIS ISSUE AND THERE HASN'T BEEN A CHECK ENGINE CODE PRESENT THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COMMUNITY MOTORS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (500 WESTIN OAKS DR, HAMMOND, LA 70403, (985) 345-0401) AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WASS NO LONGER BEING MANUFACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON MANY TIMES OVER A COUPLE WEEKS. THEN IT WENT INTO BATTERY SAVER MODE. THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING, AIR CONDITIONING, LIGHTS AND THE DASH BOARD HAD EVERY CHECK LIGHT COME ON. IT THEN WOULD NOT SHIFT AND RPMS WENT TO 4 AND 5 BUT ONLY WOULD DO AROUND 20 MPH. BATTERY THRN DIED. AFTER CHARGING BATTERY THEN REPLACING IT WITH A NEW BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATER AND ALL WIRING CHECKED OUT JUST FINE. NO OTHER PROBLEMS COULD BE FOUND BUT STILL THE BATTERY SAVER MODE IS ON AND MY JOURNEY WONT HOLD A CHARGE. THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CHILDERN IN TOWN GOING AT A SPEED OF 20-30 MPH.
RANDOMLY WONT START VEHICLE GOES INTO SOME TYPE OF ANTI THEFT MODE TOLD BAD TIPM BY 3 DIFFERENT DEALERS. AND TOLD TO REMOVE BATTERY TO RESET THE SYSTEM. THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX. THIS HAPPENS AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK
I REPLACED MY CALIBER AND BRAKES LESS THEN A YEAR AGO. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN REPLACING MY BRAKES EVERY 3 MONTHS I HAVE TO REPLACE MY BRAKES AND ROTORS. I KEEP SMELLING METAL BURNING PLUS THE BRAKES LIGHT IS STAYING ON.
MY SOUND SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING.ONCE THE VEHICLE REACHED 200,848 MILES IT STOPPED WORKING, THEN THE NEXT DAY THE LED HATCH LIGHT SHE'D WORKING?I CAME OUT TO GET IN THE VEHICLE AND TURNED IT ON IT DIDN'T WORK?

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with head gasket failure. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer and diagnosed with powertrain control module (PCM) failure. The dealer updated the PCM software; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.
MY CAR HAS ONLY 91000 MILES AND THERE IS A CLICK FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND A WEIRD SLOWING NOISE HAVE NO CLUE WHY DONE ALL THE MAINTENANCE ONE IT
THE BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE WITHIN THE LAST 8 MONTHS AND 2 YEARS PRIOR TO THAT. THE DAY PRIOR TO LATEST EPISODE, THE CAR WAS DRIVEN FOR OVER 200 MILES AND THERE WAS NO NOTATION OF PROBLEMS ON THAT DAY. THE NEXT DAY THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. IT HAD BEEN 18 HOURS SINCE CAR WAS DRIVEN. THE LIGHTS, RADIO, AND POWER WORKED, BUT BRAKE WOULD NOT DEPRESS AND DASH STATED KEY FOB COULD NOT BE DETECTED. WITHIN 5 MINUTES TRYING TO START CAR, ALL POWER AND LIGHTS QUIT WORKING. A NEIGHBOR CAME TO JUMP START THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NOT HOLD.
VEHICLE HAS REPEATEDLY HAD PROBLEMS STARTING AFTER DRIVING FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. IT WILL START COLD, NO PROBLEM. BATTERY AND STARTER ALL CHECKED AND TESTED AS GOOD. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE DUE TO A BAD GROUND CONNECTION, BUT NOT 100% SURE. MY WIFE AND CHILDREN HAVE BEEN STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THIS ISSUE. MANY TIMES, THE VEHICLE WILL HAVE TO BE TURNED OFF FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES (SOMETIMES UP TO 2 HOURS) BEFORE IT WILL START.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WAS PERFORMED WITH NO FAILURE DETECTED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN ONLINE SEARCH RESULT SHOWED A POSSIBLE CAUSE BEING RELATED TO THE VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
THE ABS MODULE WENT BAD AND THE PART IS DISCONTINUED. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY.
MY CARS BATTERY LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON AND THEN IT STARTS GOING OVER THE 4000 RPM POINT AND NOT GOING MORE THAN 20MPH AND THEN DIES...I'VE REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY BOTH 4 TIMES IN 4 MONTHS AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING.

BOTH CATALYST CONVERTS WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME AND FAILED MY GA EMISSIONS TEST. THERE IS A PERMANENT CODE. I ONLY HAD THIS SUV A YEAR AND HAVE ALREADY REBUILT THE TRANSMISSION, ALONG WITH CALIBER ISSUES. I WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN DIDN'T MATCH THE U67 CATALYST EMISSION RECALL THAT INCLUDED MY VEHICLE DESCRIPTION, TRIM, MAKE AND MODEL. THE RECALL SHOULD HAVE EXPANDED TO 3.6 LITERS AS WELL, CONSIDERING THE PROBLEM IS AN EXACT MATCH. I EXPECT DODGE WILL RECTIFY THIS EMISSIONS PROBLEM, CONSIDERING THAT GA RESIDENTS WILL FIND THIS SUV USELESS IN SUCH A STRICT EMISSION STATE.
WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED, BACK IN FEBRUARY. OVER THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS THE VEHICLE HAD SPORADICALLY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE COMPLETELY STOPS WHILE MOVING. SOME TIMES IT TAKES MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO TURN IT BACK ON AFTER SHUTTING DOWN AND OTHER TIMES IT WILL TURN BACK ON. WE HAVE ALREADY HAD THE CAR LOOKED AT AND HAD SOME RECALL WORK DONE TO IT, BUT THIS KEEPS HAPPENING EVEN SO. IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY WHILE GOING 40 MPH, 2 SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR STALLED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN THE CAR STOPPED WHILE DRIVING. THANKFULLY THE PERSON BEHIND ME WAS NOT FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE BECAUSE THEY ALMOST HIT ME WHEN THE CAR STOPPED MOVING. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WITH MODERATE TRAFFIC AROUND ME, SO I AM LUCKY THAT NO ONE HIT ME WHEN THE CAR CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND PUT MY HAZARDS ON, WHILE WAITING TO RESTART THE CAR. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND I AM SURE THIS WON'T BE THE LAST.

MIL ILLUMINATES INDICATING CAM SHAFT POSITION SENOR AND MULTIPLE OTHER CODES AT START UP OR HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THIS ALSO CUTS OFF THE STABILITY CONTROL AND PUTS THE CAR IN ,IMP MODE. THE CAR WILL ALSO STALL WITHOUT WARNING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS CREATING AN UNSAFE CONDITION. DEALERSHIP CURRENTLY EVALUATING ISSUE FOR CAM SHAFT PHASER FAILURE. THIS OCCURS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK HOWEVER THE MOST RECENT INCIDENCE ON 6/14/2019 RESULTED IN THE CAR STALLING WHILE TURNING RESULTING IN LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND BRAKING. THE CODE ALWAYS RESETS AFTER A DRIVING CYCLE IS COMPLETED BUT COMES BACK IN A DAY OR SO. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT EARLY 3.6 L ENGINES FOR 2011 HAD AN ISSUE WITH CAM SHAFT PHASER BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MY VEHICLE.

VEHICLE APPEARS TO DRIVE AND STOP NORMALLY, BUT DRIVING WITHOUT ABS AND TRACTION CONTOL DECREASES STOPPING PERFORMANCE AND CAPABILITIES. CERTIFIED MECHANIC DIAGNOSED PROBLEM INDICATING WATER DAMAGE CONSISTANT WITH THE CURRENT RECALL R61 / NHTSA 15V-675 FOR THE 2012-2015 MODELS.

THE FIRE MOMENTARILY EXTINGUISHED ITSELF. THE STEERING WHEEL THEN COULD NOT TURN AND THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ALTERNATOR AND WIRING WERE DAMAGED SUE TO THE FAILURE. THERE WAS NO REPORT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENT. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS KNOWN BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 139,000.

MILEAGE ON VEHICLE 55312 MILES. ABS LIGHT STAYS ON AFTER STARTING. FAULT FOUND BY DEALER IS THE ORC MODULE PART #68163807AB (AKA) AIR BAG CONTROL MODULE. PART DEFECT AFFECTS ABS AND AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. IDENTIFIED AS SAFETY ISSUE CURRENTLY WITHOUT A FACTORY RECALL.
ON 1/30/2019 AT 10:15 PM I STARTED MY PARKED 2011 DODGE JOURNEY TO WARM IT UP FOR WORK. IT IMMEDIATELY BLEW THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM BECAUSE IT WAS FRIGID OUTSIDE. THE POWER STEERING COOLER AND RETURN LINE HOSE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED WITH PARTS FROM THE DEALER ORDERED BY THE BUSINESS THAT MADE THE REPAIRS. TOTAL FOR PARTS AND LABOR WAS $814.22. THIS REPORT IS BEING FILED IN REGARDS TO CAMPAIGN 16V273000. I FEEL THIS IS IDENTICAL TO WHAT HAPPENED AND I AM SEEKING A FULL REFUND FOR MY REPAIRS NEEDED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *DT*JB
MY CAR HAS 132K MILES AND I'M REPLACING THE BRAKES ON THE FRONT FOR 8TH TIME AND THE BACK FOR THE 3RD TIME. CAN'T SEEM TO GET MORE THAN 15-20K MILES OUT OF A SET OF PADS AND ROTORS. LAST TWO TIMES I NEEDED SERVICE THE BRAKE CALIPERS HAD SEIZED SHREDDING THE FAIRLY NEW ROTORS WHICH WERE SO HOT THAT I FEARED THE CAR WOULD CATCH ON FIRE.
MY 2011 DODGE JOURNEY ON THE DRIVER SIDE HEAT BLOWS HOT ON THE PASSAGE SIDE IT BLOWS CODE. THIS HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING OR WHEN IT'S STARTED TO WARM UP THE PASSAGE SIDE IT BLOWS COLD EVEN WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FROM 15 MINUTES.
THE CAR WAS FINE THEN THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE CAR AND THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME BEFORE I MADE IT HOME HAD TO BE TOWED. PUT A NEW BATTERY WENT TO WORK ON THE WAY GONE THE CAR SHUT OFF ON ME AGAIN. NOW IT HAS TO BE TOWED TO THE SHOP.

THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING DOWN FORD ROAD IN DEARBORN MI. THE STEERING WOULD NOT MOVE. THE ENGINE TURNED OFF. THE BRAKES LOCKED UP. THE CAR WOULD NOT START TO MOVE OUT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IT WAS TOWED TO FIRSTONE COMPLETE AUTOCARE AND SERVICED. RECEIVED THE VEHICLE BACK ON SATURDAY THE 4TH OF AUGUST. AGAIN DROVE THE VEHICLE AND ON A BRIDGE ON ECORSE RD IN TAYLOR MI. THE VEHICLE DID THE EXACT THING. IT WAS TOWED BACK TO FIRESTONE. FIRESTONE RETURNED THE VEHICLE ON AUGUST 6TH AND SENT IT TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. FIRESTONE SAID THEY SAW NO PROBLEM. COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM. BOTH INSTANCES OF STALLING I HAD MY 7 YEAR OLD. BOTH INSTANCES WE WERE NEARLY REAR ENDED MULTIPLE TIMES. BOTH TIMES THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN WITH NO STEERING, NO BREAKS, AND WONT RESTART. IT WAS A DEATH TRAP. FIRSTONE CAN VERIFY MY PICK UP LOCATIONS BOTH TIMES. USED GOCH AND SONS TOWING THROUGH FIRESTONE ON 8/5. USED UNITED TOWING IN DEARBORN ON 8/3. FIRESTONE ALSO HAS VEHICLE RECORDS ON FILE.
THE AIR BAGS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE RECALLED DUE TO DEPLOYMENT AND WHEN I REACHED OUT TO THE DODGE HOUSE THEY SAID NO RECALLS?
"TAKATA RECALL": LOCAL DODGE DEALER, INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE PART(S), THEN TOLD MY WIFE THE 'ACTUAL STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG' WASN'T WORKING AND DIAGNOSED THE ISSUE AS THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR, REPLACE OR FIX UNLESS WE PAID THE COST FOR A NEW AIRBAG,WHY ISN'T THE AIRBAG PART OF THE RECALL? WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY ACCIDENTS IN THIS VEHICLE NOR ANYTHING THAT WOULD, COULD DAMAGE THE AIRBAG.. SINCE THE DEALER IS STATING THE PROBLEM IS ELECTRICAL, IN THE SAFETY SYSTEM, SHOULD THIS BE CLASSED AS A 'SAFETY' ISSUE AND REPAIRED BY THE DEALER..
MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING TWICE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE MECHANIC TO GET IT FIXED PRIOR TO DRIVING ANY FURTHER. THE FIRST TIME I WAS TURNING RIGHT, THE 2ND TIME I WAS COMING UP TO A STOP LIGHT. I WAS ABLE TO TURN MY CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT WORKED. TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE
SINCE I HAVE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 4 YEARS AGO, I HAVE HAD THE BRAKES REPLACED 4 TIMES DUE TO PREMATURE WARE. THE CALIPERS HAVE ALSO BEEN REPLACED DUE TO REAR BRAKES NOT RELEASING AND PADS WEARING AND HEATING. ONE MECHANIC SHOWED ME WHERE THEY WERE STRESSED FROM THE HIGH HEAT OF THIS ISSUE. NOW MY REAR DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE PAD IS GONE COMPLETELY UNLIKE PASSENGER SDIE, THOUGH REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME INCLUDING CALIPERS. I BELIEVE IT ISN'T RELEASING AGAIN

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE FUNCTIONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO INTERMITTENTLY OPERATE PROPERLY. THE UCONNECT FUNCTION HAD ALSO BEEN AFFECTING THE ABILITY TO TURN ON THE RADIO AND THE FUNCTION CONTROLS ON THE DISPLAY PANEL. IN ADDITION, THE DISPLAY SCREEN NEAR THE RADIO WAS BLACK WITH NO VISIBILITY OF THE TIME AND OTHER FUNCTIONS EACH TIME THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE DEALER (HENDRICK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 1624 MONTGOMERY HWY, HOOVER, AL 35216, (205) 545-8074) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
