MY BATTERY DIED AT YEAR AND A HALF, OF 3 YEAR WARRANTY. AFTER GOING SEVERAL ROUNDS AND UP TO MANAGER, THEY REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE BATTERY. I HAD RCVD INFO ON RECALL T47, W/AIRBAGS AND STEERING WIRING ISSUE, SO HAD THAT TAKEN CARE OF ALSO. I P/U JOURNEY, ON MY WAY HM THE ESC LIGHT KEPT COMING ON AND BRAKES WOULD LOCK UP, CAR WOULD PULL TO THE LEFT AND ALOT OF RATTLING UNDER THE FRONT END, PULLING ME INTO OTHER LANE. IT WAS DRY, NO RAIN ON A STRAIGHT ROAD. CALLED HAD TO WAIT 4 DAYS TO TAKE BACK IN, TOLD THEY FORGOT TO RE-INITIALIZE ABS SYSTEM AND THAT THE BATTERY BEING DISCONNECTED CAUSED ISSUE, I ASKED WHY IT DIDN'T HAPPEN AFTER 1ST BATTERY WAS REPLACED, THEY DIDN'T KNOW. ON MY WAY HOME, THE ISSUE WAS BACK, TOOK IT BACK TO LHMILLER DODGE, WAS THEN TOLD THAT THEY NEED TO DIAGNOSE, SAYING IT COULD BE CLOCK SPRING/AXLE/DRIVESHAFT/DIFFERENTIAL AND IT WILL COST SEVERAL HUNDREDS JUST TO DIAGNOSE. I ASKED IF THEY COULD REPLACE THE INITIAL RECALLED R16 ESC PART AND WAS TOLD THAT WOULD BE AT MY EXPENSE. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT OPEN THE STEERING WHEEL/SHAFT TO HAVE CAUSED THE ISSUE W/CLOCK SPRING DURING T47 REPAIR. THE INSTRUCTIONS ON REPLACEMENT SHOW THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO OPEN IT AND BE IN DIRECT CONTACT W/CLOCK SPRING. THEY ARE WANTING TO PAY FOR WHAT WAS NOT REPLACED AND WHAT THEY DAMAGED. MY CAR IS STILL HAVING THE ISSUE AND I THINK THEY SHOULD REPLACE THE ESC PART AND CLOCK SPRING AT NO CHARGE. I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO GET A DIAGNOSIS AND THEN HAVE TO PAY ADDITIONAL FOR REPAIR. THE ESC LIGHT COMES ON WHILE I AM IN PARK AND WHILE DRIVING ON STRAIGHT CITY ROADS, IT ENGAGES AND THE VEHICLE STARTS TO SLOW DOWN LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL AND YOU CANNOT APPLY GAS OR IT PULLS MORE. BEFORE I TOOK IT IN FOR THE WARRANTIED BATTERY AND RECALL, I HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE.
NO POWER STEERING IN THE MORNING. TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND HE SAID THE POWER STEERING HOSE RUPTURED. WE HAD SUB-BELOW TEMPERATURES IN NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA LAST WEEK. IT IS THE SAME AS RECALL #16V-273, BUT I DO NOT HAVE AN OPTIONAL BLOCK HEATER, SO IT IS NOT COVERED. WHICH REALLY DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL.
"ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL AND ABS LIGHT RECALL". THE LIGHTS OF THE "ABS AND ESC" ARE LIGHTED WHEN WE START THE ENGINE OF THE VEHICLE.
MY WIFE WAS T-BONED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BY A VEHICLE SUPPOSEDLY TRAVELING 25 MPH, WITH MY SON IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND THE SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. SHE WAS CROSSING AN INTERSECTION WHEN THE COLLISION HAPPENED.

I HAVE A 5YR. 100,00 ML WARRANTY ON THIS CAR BUMBER TO BUMBER . MONTHS OF PROBLEMS TO FIND OUT IT HAS INTERNAL FAILURE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE.. MONTHS OF CAR JUMPING, TOWING, DOORS LOCKING CANT GET OUT, LIGHTS FLASHING,2 RECALLS, BROUGHT A CAR BATTERY NOW ITS SITTING ON DODGE LOT SINCE 10/17/17.AN WILL NOT RUN. AS A CONSUMER WHO BROUGHT THIS VEHICLE BELIEVING DODGE WOULD HOLD TO THIS ACCOUNTABILITY TOTAL FAILURE AND WANTS ME TO PAY FOR IT THIS SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
WHILE DRIVING ON U.S. 84 HIGHWAY IN ALABAMA I NOTICED THE ENGINE MAKING A STRANGE NOISE AND PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I COULD THEN SEE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, WHEN I OPENED THE HOOD I COULD SEE AT THE BASE OF THE ENGINE ORANGE FLAMES. USED WATER BOTTLES ON HAND TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. AFTER MY INSURANCE COMPANY SENT OUT INSPECTORS IT WAS FOUND THAT WIRING TO THE OXYGEN SENSOR HAD SHORTED OUT CAUSING THE FIRE. INSPECTORS BELIEVE IT WAS FAULTY WIRING THAT CAUSED THE FIRE. CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START. THE HAZARD LIGHTS AND ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT JUMPER CABLES WERE PLACED ON THE BATTERY IN AN ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE JUMPER CABLES CAUGHT FIRE INADVERTENTLY. THE CONTACT USED A RAG TO REMOVE THE JUMPER CABLES FROM THE BATTERY AND THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A MINOR BURN TO HER THUMB THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,730.

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CLOCK SET ITSELF AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND THE TIRE PRESSURE FLUCTUATED UP AND DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE PROJECTION OF THE HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS WAS SO WEAK THAT THE CONTACT COULD NOT READ THE EXIT SIGNS. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (VAN HORNE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN MANITOWOC, WI) WHERE THE HEADLIGHTS WERE CALIBRATED. THE FAILURE WAS FIRST NOTICED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AS IF THE HEADLIGHTS WERE DIRECTED TOWARDS THE GROUND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. MY BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR HAD TO BE CHANGE RECENTLY ....PLUS THERE WAS HOLE. ON THE COOLANT LINE WHICH CAUSE. MY CAR TO OVER HEAT ...CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK FOR THE COOLANT WIRE AND THE ALTERNATOR ON 2013 MODELS
DRIVING DOWN A STATE ROAD AND MY BRAKES BECAME SPONGY. IN ORDER TO STOP I WOULD HAVE TO SLOW DOWN AND PUSH MY BRAKES PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I PULLED OVER AND SHUT MY CAR OFF TOO CALL SOMEONE. AS SOON AS I STARTED MY VEHICLE AGAIN THE BRAKES WERE FINE. TODAY I DECIDED TO PULL OVER AGAIN AND TURN THE CAR OFF. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON I PUMPED THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES AND IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES SO FAR. I HAVE A NEWBORN AND CANNOT RISK BRAKE PROBLEMS. I CHECKED AND MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL, HOWEVER, DODGE JOURNEYS BETWEEN 2012 AND 2015 HAVE RECALLS. MINE IS A 2013 BUT NO RECALL. IS THIS THE SAME ISSUE? AND IF SO, WHY DO I NOT HAVE A RECALL ON MINE?.

BATTERY GOES DEAD FREQUENTLY WHEN VEHICLE IS LEFT ALONE FROM 12 TO 48 HOURS. REPLACED BATTERY WITH A NEW TOP OF A LINE SEARS BEST.. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. VERY DANGEROUS WHEN VEHICLE WILL NOT START AT THE END OF A WORK DAY STRANDED IN A PARKING SPOT IN A BAD SIDE OF TOWN. ELECTRIC DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT OPEN DOORS DUE TO DEAD BATTERY. CONSTANT UNKNOWN BATTERY DRAIN!!! HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. THIS VEHICLE IS A LEMON!!
VEHICLE STALLS FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING. MAKES BRAKING AND STEERING VERY DIFFICULT. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. ALL TIMES THE WEATHER WAS GOOD AND DRY. THERE ARE NO CODES OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THERE IS NO WAY TO DIAGNOSIS THE PROBLEM.
I HAVE OWNED MY DODGE JOURNEY SINCE MAY 2013, AND AFTER TWO YEARS I BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT PICK UP AND GO. AT TIMES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN IDLING MODE (LIKE IF I AM SITTING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT) IT ACTS AS IF IT WANTS TO STOP. ON OTHER OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE ACTS AS IF IT WANTS TO STOP, EVEN IF I AM IN DRIVE OR JUST SITTING IN PARK. I RECENTLY HAD A TUNE AND THE BATTERY REPLACED. I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM! HOWEVER, IT'S EVEN WORSE NOW BECAUSE THE VEHICLE CONSTANTLY SHAKES AND WANTS TO STOP WHILE I AM CAUGHT UP IN TRAFFIC, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS (ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAVE MY CHILDREN AND DOGS IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME). I WANT THIS ISSUE RESOLVED. I BRING MY VEHICLE IN FOR REGULAR MAINTENANCE AS REQUIRED, AND WHEN I MENTIONED THE ISSUE TO MY SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP WHERE I ORIGINALLY PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, THEY TOLD ME IT'S BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS GETTING OLD. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT OF THE VEHICLE SHAKING AND WANTING TO STOP OCCURRED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN HWY I-64. BECAUSE OF ALL OF THESE ISSUES I AM NEVER BUYING A DODGE AGAIN.

AT 110,000 MILES VEHICLE STARTED MAKING A RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, NO NOISE WHEN COLD BUT GETS LOUDER AS THE VEHICLE WARMS UP. GETS LOUDER WHEN THE AC IS ON OR STEERING IS TURNED AT LOW SPEEDS. BUT GOES AWAY WITH INCREASED ENGINE SPEED. TOOK IT TO A LOCAL SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A BROKEN FLEX PLATE. SHOP SAID THEY WERE ABLE TO FIND 10 SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND DODGE SELLS A REVISED PART DESIGN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH AND TURNING LEFT, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. ALL THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE CONTACT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, FACE, NECK, SPINE, KNEE, AND CHEST, AS WELL AS LOST CONSCIOUSNESS. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED AND THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INSURANCE FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT FAILED TO ASSIST. A DEALER WAS CONTACTED, BUT COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE PUMPED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WAITED A FEW MINUTES, AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE BRAKING ABILITY RETURNED AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED TWENTY TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN AT THE DEALER AT LEAST SIX TIMES FOR REPAIRS AFTER RECEIVING A RECALL ISSUED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS BECAUSE THE RECALL WAS NOT ISSUED THE FIRST THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE RECALL DETAILS WERE UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM ANY RECALLS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.

WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED AND BECAME STUCK TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND SLOWLY COAST THE VEHICLE INTO THE GARAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO KEITH'S CAR (2373 HIGHWAY 43 S, PICAYUNE, MS. 39466, (601) 799-1105) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT, ABS RIGHT SENSOR, ABS HYDRAULIC UNIT, AND ABS SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,841.

HI I RECEIVED VARIOUS FCA NOTIFICATION THE LAST TIME I LEFT THE CAR AT DADELAND DODGE DEALER IN MIAMI FLORIDA AND THE SUPPOSEDLY FIX A ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS BUT NOW DID I TURN OFF THE AC THE AC TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY WITHOU I PUSH ANY BOTTOM NOW I RECEIVED ANOTHER LETTER FROM YOU ABOUT ABS PROBLEMS AND I DO WORRY ABOUT THIS BECAUSE MY WIFE AND 2 KIDS USE THIS CAR AND ALSO I PAY A LOAN AND MY CREDIT IS INVOLVED IN THIS SITUATION CAN YOU SEND ME A REAL TECHNICIAN TO MY HOUSE OR SOMEBODY TO FIX IT WELL LIKE WHEN I BUY IT OR GIVE ME ANY GOOD OPTION BECAUSE IS THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY LET ME KNOW THANKS.
BOUGHT THE 2013 DODGE JOURNEY BRAND NEW ON MARCH 2013. MY JOURNEY ONLY HAS LESS THAN 21,000 MILES ON IT AND YET THE V6 MISFIRES CAUSING THE GAS TO FILL THE (ALL THE WAY TO THE MUFFLER) BACK AND FRONT (ENGINE) OF THE VEHICLE, I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN I TURN ON MY CAR SATURDAY MORNING, THE CAR STARTED SHAKING AND I COULD SMELL THE GAS FUMES FILLING UP THE INSIDE IF THE CAR. I DROP IT OFF TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND I WAS TOLD, I WAS LUCKY THAT IT DIDN'T CAUGHT ON FIRE.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE RACK AND PINION FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE THROTTLE BODY SEIZED AND THE SPEED DROPPED BELOW 120 RPMS. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE REPAIR WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,700.
IT WILL STALL WHEN IDLING. TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. I OWN A 2013 DODGE JOURNEY. ON OCTOBER 5TH MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES BEGAN AND CONTINUE EVEN AFTER THE RECALLS HERE ADDRESSED. ABS LIGHT CAME ON, TRACTION CONTROL DISABLED, CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION QUIT WORKING DASH DISPLAYS/TOUCHSCREEN BEGAN TO FLICKER, BLUETOOTH/UCONNECT/VOICE SYSTEMS BECAME NON-RESPONSIVE, AMBIENT LIGHTING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLICKERS ON AND OFF, AND THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM TURNED ON AFTER BEING SET TO THE OFF POSITION. THE VEHICLE CABIN IS BEING CONTAMINATED BY FUMES AND BY THE FIBERGLASS SOUNDPROOFING THAT IS SOMEHOW ENTERING THE CABIN. DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THE RECALLS WERE ADDRESSED ABUT THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL ISSUES ARE DUE TO A SPEED CONTROL SENSOR, WANTS TO CHARGE ME THE $227 FOR THIS SENSOR, THE VOICE SYSTEM IS DUE TO ANOTHER MODULE (STILL AWAITING PRICING), CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THE VARIOUS OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES ARE OCCURRING, NOR HOW THE FIBERGLASS AND FUMES ARE GETTING IN AND THAT NONE OF THIS IS COVERED BY THE RECALLS NOR BY MY MANUFACTURER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY, AND HE KNOWS MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVEN'T WRECKED DRIVING WITHOUT THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS SYSTEMS SO WE CAN PICK IT UP AND DRIVE IT UNTIL WE ARE READY TO ORDER THE PARTS AND PAY FOR THE REPAIR. FIBERGLASS CONTAMINATION IS A PRETTY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT CAUSES CANCER AND VARIOUS OTHER HEALTH ISSUES, THE TRACTION CONTROL, DASHBOARD DISPLAY, AND ANTILOCK BREAKING SYSTEMS ARE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AND THE RECALL STATED LOSS OF CONTROL COULD RESULT IN A CRASH AND THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY

I TOOK MY CAR TO FIVE STAR DODGE IN WARNER ROBINS, GA TO HAVE THE RECALL (R61) REPAIRS DONE TO THE VEHICLE. WHILE THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR THEY CALLED AND TOLD ME THAT THEY DID THE RECALL BUT MY ABS (ANTI LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) LIGHT WAS STILL ON WHICH IS WHAT THE RECALL IS FOR AND THEY WOULD LOOK AT IT BUT IT WOULD COST ME THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE IF I DIDN'T GET THE REPAIRS DONE OR THEY WOULD CHARGE ME FOR THE REPAIRS. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS FOR A PROBLEM THAT WAS RECALLED ON THE VEHICLE? I DON'T UNDERSTAND.

AXLE NUTS - 2013 DODGE JOURNEY, FELT AS THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS GOING TO BUCKLE UNDER THE FRONT END, ESPECIALLY IF I HAD TO MAKE A SUDDEN STOP. I LOUD CLUNK TYPE NOISE WOULD ACCOMPANY THE JOLT FEELING. BEGAN OCCURRING MORE OFTEN, TO INCLUDE WHEN VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT. TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP THE FIRST TIME, AND THE ORDER WAS WRITTEN UP AS 'RE-TORQUE THE AXLE NUTS'. ISSUE CONTINUED, BUT WAS ALWAYS DESCRIBED AS 'COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE'. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE AXLE NUTS AS IT LOOKS AS THOUGH THEY HAD BEEN COMPROMISED. I INFORMED THEM OF THE PREVIOUS FIX, AND WAS TOLD THAT YOU CAN NOT RE-TORQUE AXLE NUTS, THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED. THE DEALERSHIP TRIED TO MAKE ME PAY, AS IT WAS SOMETHING NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL I BROUGHT UP WHAT THEY HAD DONE, SO THEY TOOK THE LOSS. I WOULD THINK THAT THE AXLE NUTS SHOULD HAVE NEVER BECOME LOOSE TO BEGIN WITH, AS IT SEEMS AS IF IT WOULD BE A HIGH RISK FACTOR IN LIABILITY. PURCHASE DATE OF CAR WAS ROUGHLY 12/01/12. ON 08/23/15, THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T START AND I WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A NEW BATTERY, SO IT WAS REPLACED THE SAME DAY. PRIOR TO THAT, I WAS NOTICING STRANGE THINGS LIKE THE A/C GOING FULL BLAST AND I WASN'T ABLE TO TURN IT OFF, ETC. CAR WOULDN'T START AGAIN 12/07/15, AND I WAS AGAIN TOLD THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DEALER RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND FOUND NOTHING, BUT CHARGED ME $150. BATTERY WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY WITH SEARS, SO THEY REPLACED IT AT NO CHARGE. BATTERY DIED AGAIN 03/20/16 WHILE SITTING IN A PARKING LOT IDLING FOR A WHILE. WENT ON VACATION FOR 10 DAYS IN SPRING OF 2016, SO VEHICLE SAT, AND I RETURNED TO A COMPLETELY DEAD BATTERY ON 04/05/16. JUMP STARTED VEHICLE AND DROVE IT A WHILE. VEHICLE WOULDN'T SHIFT DOWN WHEN GETTING ON FREEWAY AND WAS REVVING WAY TOO HIGH, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WERE FLASHING, AND A BATTERY SAVER MODE MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE DISPLAY. I TOOK IT TO SEARS AGAIN ON 04/14/16 (IT HAD SAT FOR 2 DAYS AGAIN, AND WOULDN'T START, SO HAD TO BE JUMPED). THEY'VE HAD IT A WEEK NOW, HAVE RUN ALL KINDS OF TESTS AND THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DETERMINE IS THAT THE BATTERY IS DRAINING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND NOT RUNNING. SEARS IS GOING TO REPLACE THE BATTERY FOR ME AGAIN, BUT THERE IS CLEARLY A BIGGER ISSUE GOING ON HERE, AND I HOPE THIS IS RESEARCHED FURTHER. I ALSO SPOKE WITH A TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALERSHIP, AND HE ADVISED THEY HAVE NO RECALLS ON FILE FOR THIS ISSUE.
