I WAS TRAVELING TO WORK ON THE CITY STREET IN MY 2013 DODGE JOURNEY SXT, A PERSON RAN THE RED LIGHT AND STRUCK ME NEAR THE GAS TANK AND THEN STRUCK ME A SECOND TIME IN THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. SIX OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED IN THE CRASH. I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I AM HERE TODAY DUE TO THE BUILD OF THE 2013 DODGE JOURNEY SXT. I WAS SO SURPRISED THAT I WENT OUT AND PURCHASED ANOTHER DODGE JOURNEY.

I RECEIVED NOTICE OF RECALL FOR ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM FOR MY VEHICLE (VIN: [XXX]). I REQUESTED SERVICE FROM TRIANGLE CHRYSLER DE PONCE 2616 PONCE BY PASS PONCE, PR 00728 787-812-4025 THEY ACCEPTED THE VEHICLE FOR SERVICE, FEBRUARY 19, 2016 IN THE MORNING. IN THE AFTERNOON, THEY CALLED ME TO SAY THAT THE LIGHTS THAT INDICATED PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS SYSTEM WILL NOT TURN OFF IF A SENSOR IS NOT REPLACED, WHICH COST IS $115. I DONT AGREE AND ARE NOT SATISFIED BY THEIR EXPLANATION. I UNDERSTAND THAT IF THE PROBLEM OF THE RECALL CAUSED THE SIGNAL ADVICE, IT SHOULD BE REPAIRED. IN DECEMBER 2015, I RECEIVE A LETTER FROM FCA US LLC REGARDING A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE. IN JANUARY 2016, AFTER RETURNING FROM A TRIP, IMMEDIATELY I CALLED THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND ASKED THEM TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. THE APPOINTMENT WAS ON JANUARY 18, 2016; NEVERTHELESS, WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE DEALER, THE TOLD ME THAT THE PARTS NEEDED TO FIX THE PROBLEM WERE NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY HAD TO MAKE AN ORDER. SINCE THEN, I AM CALLING ALL THE WEEKS AND THE ANSWER IS THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVE THE PARTS YET. MOREOVER, ONE OF THE SELLERS TOLD ME THAT NOT TO WORRY SINCE THIS RECALL IS NOT IMPORTANT. DEFINITELY, I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SITUATION. NOT ONLY THAT MY CAR HAVEN'T BEEN FIXED BUT ALSO, ALL THE TIME I HAD WAIST IN THE DEALER AND IN THE PHONE CALLS. WHILE ON VACATION AND DRIVING IN RAINY CONDITIONS, WIPERS STOPPED MIDWAY ON WINDOW. MOTOR,WENT OUT. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP ON THE ROAD AND HAD NO PARTS,SO DROVE TO FINAL DESTINATION AND IT TOOK 4 DAYS TO EXPIDITE PARTS TO REPAIR CAR.
CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS FOR THE SAME ELECTRICAL ISSUES. ALL 5 TIMES CAR HAS HAD A DEAD BATTERY IN THE MORNING, SOMETIMES ENOUGH TO HAVE DOOR LIGHTING/RADIO COME ON (BUT CAN'T START CAR) BUT USUALLY NO ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY AT ALL. DIAGNOSED AS A "BAD BATTERY" TWICE, A BAD ALTERNATOR ONCE, AND AN ISSUE WITH THE GLOVEBOX LIGHT THE 4TH TIME. CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD AGAIN 1 WEEK LATER AFTER THE GLOVEBOX "FIX". CAR IS KEPT INSIDE THE GARAGE AT HOME AT ALL TIMES. THE FIRST DEAD BATTERY HAPPENED IN APRIL OF '15, THEN AGAIN JUNE '15, OCTOBER '15, AND TWICE AGAIN JAN '16. SOMETIMES THE CAR WAS DRIVEN LONG DISTANCES THE DAY BEFORE, AND SOMETIMES IT'S SAT IN THE GARAGE SINCE FRIDAY.

THE #6 SPARK PLUG HAS A PROBLEM. I HAVE HAD IT REPLACED TWICE. THE ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF WHEN THE CAR RUNS A LITTLE HARD. THEN WILL TURN OFF WHEN IT RUNS SMOOTH. WHEN I HAD THE OIL CHANGED THEY SAID THEY HAVE SEEN OTHER DODGE JOURNEYS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE IS JUST BEING DRIVEN IN ON THE CITY STREETS. IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM SITTING AT A LIGHT AND THE CAR IS IDLING.
2013 DODGE JOURNEY. CONSUMER WRITES SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS MADE RELATED TO SAFETY RECALL. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE ABS MODULE FAILED AND WAS REPLACED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE MANUFACTURER DENIED REIMBURSEMENT DUE TO THE REPAIR HAVING BEEN OVER 2 YEARS AND WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. *JS
WHILE UNDER WARRANTY THE REAR PASSENGER AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING AND IT WAS REPLACED. AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED THE PASSENGER AUTOMATIC FRONT DOOR LOCK STOPPED WORKING AND I PAID TO HAVE A NEW ONE INSTALLED. NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK HAS STOPPED WORKING. WHEN THEY STOP WORKING THEY WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK USING THE KEY FOB OR THE BUTTONS INSIDE THE CAR. EACH TIME THIS OCCURS THE ACTUATOR HAS TO BE REPLACED. SINCE KEEPING THE DOORS SECURELY CLOSED DURING A CRASH IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.

THE TRANSMISSION STICK SHIFT DOES NOT LOCK IN POSITION ONCE YOU PLACE THE CAR IN DRIVE. I NOTICED THIS WHEN I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND WAS LEAVING WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY BUMBED THE SHIFTER. IT MOVED TO NEUTRAL. MY WIFE SAID THIS HAPPENED TO HER ANOTHER TIME WHEN SHE WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC IN OUR TOWN. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD, THIS WAS THE WAY DODGE MADE THE JOURNEY AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. THANK GOD WE WERE NOT TRAVELING AT A HIGHER SPEED.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 48 MILES PER HOUR WITH MY BABY IN THE CAR AND I TRIED TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN FOR A YELLOW LIGHT MY BREAKS WOULD NOT STOP IT TOOK A HARD STOMP TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. ALSO MY CAR WILL NOT SHIFT GEARS IT JERKS WHEN DONE AND TAKES OFF VERY SLOWLY HARDLY PICKING UP SPEED. IT ALSO MAKES A KNOCKING SOUND AND VIBRATION WHEN YOU DRIVE AND AFTER YOU TURN THE IGNITION OFF
CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM BLOWS HOT TO ONE SIDE COLD TO THE OTHER CANNOT BE TURNED OFF OR CONTROLLED

BATTERY KEPT GOING DEAD
I WAS AT THE DRIVE IN MOVIE AND HAD THE TRUCK RUNNING FOR PART OF THE MOVIE. I SHUT THE TRUCK OFF AND JUST LISTENED TO THE REST OF THE MOVIE VIA MY RADIO AND HAD THE LIGHTS OFF. WHEN THE MOVIE WAS OVER I I COULD NOT CRANK MY TRUCK. YOU COULD SEE THE LIGHTS ON IN THE INSIDE BUT MY TRUCK DASH SAID MY KEY WAS NOT IN VEHICLE OF WHICH IT WAS. THEN IT SAID VEHICLE NOT IN PARK OF WHICH IT WAS. MY UCONNECT SCREEN KEPT TRYING TO LOAD AND WOULD JUST KEEP GOING OUT. I HAD 3 PEOPLE TRY TO JUMP IT JUST IN CASE THE BATTERY WAS DEAD EVEN THOUGH I KNEW IT WASN'T INCLUDING THE TOW SERVICE FOR MY INSURANCE. NONE OF THIS WORKED. I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME NOW I CAN NOT LOCK MY VEHICLE CAUSE IT HAS NO POWER. MY DASH SAYS MY KEY IS NOT IN THE VEHICLE OF WHICH IT WAS AND THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT IN PARK OF WHICH IT WAS. ENGINE BEAUTY COVER MAY DETACH AND FALL ONTO CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND CATCH FIRE. DODGE SENT OUT THE RECALL AND HAS YET TO SUPPLY ANY PARTS TO THE DEALERS TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. ISSUE HAS NOT HAPPENED YET, BUT MY WIFE DRIVES THIS CAR EVERYDAY WITH OUR BABY IN IT. RECALL NOTIFICATION CODE IS R32
MY VEHICLE HAS UNDERGONE REPEATED REPAIR ATTEMPTS, FOR A DEFECT AND NONCONFORMITY WITH DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION, TRANSMISSION CLUNK, DEFECTIVE A/C, DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCKS, DEFECTIVE WINDOW REGULATOR, AND RADIO FAILURE. THESE NONCONFORMITIES SUBSTANTIALLY IMPAIR THE USE, VALUE AND SAFETY OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION HAS SHIFTING ISSUES TO THE POINT OF HAVING TO FORCE IT INTO REVERSE, ESPECIALLY IF PARKED ON AN INCLINE. THE DEFECTIVE A/C AND RADIO SEEM TO BE CONTAINED IN THE ALL-IN-ONE UNIT IN WHICH THE RADIO GOES OUT AND A/C WILL TURN ON AT RANDOM AND NOT TURN OFF. THE UNIT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REPLACED ONCE, ONLY FOR THE PROBLEM TO CONTINUE. THE DEFECTIVE DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOW REGULATOR WAS A RESULT OF WIRING ISSUE BCM AND DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY. I HAVE FILED A LEMON LAW SUIT AGAINST CHRYSLER AND BILL LUKE, ONLY TO BE DECLINED AS THEY STATE IT WAS ALL WITHIN WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE IS NOT WORTH NEARLY WHAT I OWE ON IT AND HAS A HUGE LIST OF REPAIRS THAT WOULD REFLECT NEGATIVELY ON CARFAX IN THE EVENT OF TRADE OR RESALE. I HAVE ATTACHED A SUMMARY OF REPAIRS, BUT HAVE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION, IF NEEDED.

I REAR-ENDED A DODGE RAM TRUCK. MY ENTIRE FRONT END WAS PUSHED BACK. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND MY SEAT BELT DIDN'T TIGHTEN. MY CAR WAS TOTALED. WHEN SHE WAS DRIVING SHE GOT TO THE TOP OF THE HILL. AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN. SHE HAD NO CONTROL OVER IT ,IT FLIPPED TWICE. AND THEN MONDAY I GET A RECALL NOTICE ON MY WIVES CAR THAT HERS CAN SHUT DOWN. DODGE REALLY NEEDS TO FIND OUT WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE DODGE JOURNEY, I'M FIXING TO GET A LAWYER AND SUE I GUESS IF NO ONE CAN TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON. SHE HADN'T EVEN PAID THE FIRST PAYMENT ON IT YET, KNOW FARM BUREAU WON'T STOP HER PAYMENTS, THIS IS CRAZY THE CAR IS TOTALLED AND COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE. THE VEHICLE WAS REMOTE STARTED, AND THEN FEW MINUTES LATER THE DRIVER OPENED THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE DRIVER SAT DOWN, FASTENED HER SHOULDER HARNESS AND THEN CLOSED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. UPON THE DOOR CLOSING AND LATCHING, THE DRIVERS SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAG SELF-DEPLOYED. THIS CAUSED SOME LEFT ARM BRUISING, NECK BURNS AND A DEEP ABRASION ACROSS THE DRIVERS LEFT SIDE NECK. THERE WAS NO IMPACT FROM ANY ANOTHER VEHICLE, NOR DID THE DODGE JOURNEY STRIKE A FIXED OBJECT. THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STANDSTILL WITH THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED, VEHICLE IN PARK, AND THE ENGINE START BUTTON FLASHING BECAUSE THE DRIVER HAD REMOTELY STARTED THE VEHICLE.

WITHOUT WARNING ONE DAY THE CAR STARTED SMOKING THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE RIGHT WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HWY. I QUICKLY JUMPED OUT ON THE HWY ALMOST INTO TRAFFIC TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM THE SUV THET WITHIN SECONDS QUICKLY ENGULFED INTO FLAMES. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THE DEALERSHIP MADE NO MENTION ABOUT THE DEFECTS OR REPAIRS. I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAIN/LAWSUIT TO SEEK A FULL REFUND ALONG WITH DAMAGES, PAIN AND SUFFERING.
