MY AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON A WEEK AGO AND WONT GO OFF. VERY NERVE WRACKING. IF I FILL GAS TANK GAS COMES BACK OUT OF TANK ALL OVER ME AND TRUCK. KEY FOB STOPPED WORKING SETTING OFF ENGINE IMMOBILIZER COSTING ME $207 FOR A NEW KEY BECAUSE THE ONE THAT CAME WITH TRUCK COULD NOT BE JUST REPROGRAMMED. I LOVE MY TRUCK, BUT IT IS BECOMING ONE THING AFTER THE OTHER AND AS A SINGLE DISABLED MOM OF AN 8 YEAR OLD, I CANT AFFORD THIS MONEY PIT. ESPECIALLY WITH WHAT MY LOAN COSTS ME EVERY MONTH. I SERIOUSLY THING CHRYSLER SHOULD TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR PROBLEMS IN THEIR VEHICLES ESPECIALLY SINCE I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES. I CAN SAY I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN. WE LITTLE PEOPLE PAY MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR THESE VEHICLES, TO JUST HAVE TO TURN AROUND AND INVEST THOUSANDS MORE. I WOULD NOT COMPLAIN IF IT WAS JUST MINE, BUT WHEN YOU LOOK AND SEE ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME ISSUES, THEN ITS TIME TO COMPLAIN BECAUSE IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT JUST MINE AND NOT JUST BECAUSE ITS AN OLDER VEHICLE WHICH I HAD THOUGHT TIL I SAW THE OTHER COMPLAINTS!!!!!!!!!!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE NITRO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE CONTACT SAT IN THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER JTS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (4838 SUNSET BLVD, LEXINGTON, SC 29072) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT OF THE COST TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 198,000.
THE CAR HORN HONKS NON-STOP FOR HOURS SOMETIMES... THEN NOTHING FOR A WEEK OR TWO. ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT WHEN THIS HORN WENT OFF. I READ READ THAT MANY 2007 DODGE NITRO'S HAVE THIS PROBLEM!! THEY SAY IT COULD BE THE HORN SWITCH OR TIPM MODULE (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). STARTED MONTHS AGO BUT STOPPED, AS OF 11/01/19 IT IS HAPPENING OFTEN AND I HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. I HEARD IT COULD START FIRE!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR WAS DUE TO A THROTTLE BODY FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST NEEDED TO BE PERFORMED; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT DECLINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 183,990.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE NITRO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT EACH TIME THE KEY FOB OR KEY WAS USED TO LOCK THE DOORS, THE DOORS WOULD UNLOCK INDEPENDENTLY AND THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 171,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, WITH MY HEADLIGHTS ON, MY DASH BEGAN TO FLICKER AND SO DID MY INTERIOR LIGHTS. MY ENGINE ALSO STARTED TO STUDDED AS I WAS ACCELERATING. FINALLY I WENT TO ROLL MY REAR PASSENGER WINDOW DOWN FOR MY SON AND THE DOOR STARTED SMOKING AND CAUGHT FIRE! I PULLED OVER ON A CITY STREET TO LET THE FIRE DIE DOWN.
WHEN ADDING FUEL THE GASOLINE ALWAYS SPITS BACK OUT WHEN TANK IS FULL SPILLING GASOLINE OVER THE TRUCK TIRE AND GROUND. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS A LITTLE AFTER I PURCHASED THE NITRO NEW, BUT MACK MASSEY DODGE IN EL PASO, TX SAID NOTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. SO WHY AM I STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM THROUGHOUT ALL THESE YEARS?
DRIVING MY 2007 DODGE NITRO ON A SECONDARY ROAD TWICE AND ALSO ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 75 I HAD A LOSS OF POWER, PUT MY PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING. THIS WAS A RECALL BACK IN 2007 BUT OF COURSE MY VIN# WAS NOT INCLUDED AND IT EXPIRED. HOW CAN YOU DETERMINE WHICH VEHICLE AND WHEN IT WILL BE AFFECTED WHEN YOU SEND OUT A RECALL? I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE SECOND HAND AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID OR DID NOT HAVE DONE. I DRIVE MY ELDERLY MOTHER AND GRANDCHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE AND NOW I DO NOT FEEL SAFE.WHEN I CALLED I WAS TOLD "TOO BAD" SO NOW IT COSTS ME 1200.00 FOR A SAFETY RECALL THAT SHOULD BE HONORED ON ALL OF CHRYSLER VEHICLES. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE IN THE CHRYSLER FAMILY WILL NOT HAVE A BAD OUTCOME IN ONE OF THEIR FAULTY VEHICLES.
ROOF RACK RAILS ARE LOOSE AND CRACKED. A 'CLIP/LOCK TYPE' PIECE FROM THE FRONT CAME OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY.
FUEL TANK OVERFLOWS EVERY TIME THAT WE FILL THE TANK. WHEN THE GAS IS FILLED, THE NOZZLE IS FULLY INSERTED IN THE TANK AND WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY SHUT-OFF SPILLING GAS EVERYWHERE UNTIL I MANUALLY STOP THE NOZZLE.
MY PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WANT GO OFF WHEN I STARTED MY VEHICLE. SURE I BE WORRY?
WHEN FILLING GAS TANK, GAS PUMP CLICKS FOR FULL AND GAS SPILLS OUT OF THE TANK ALL OVER THE GROUND AND PERSON FILLING THE TANK. VERY DANGEROUS AS GAS IS ALSO ALL OVER THAT PART OF THE CAR. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMPLAINT FROM A LOT OF PEOPLE YET THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE NITRO. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO UNLOCK THE DOORS MANUALLY AND ELECTRONICALLY, THE DOORS FAILED TO UNLOCK. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S DOOR WAS THE ONLY DOOR ABLE TO UNLOCK. THE DOORS WERE ABLE TO UNLOCK BY ROLLING DOWN THE WINDOWS AND OPENING THE DOORS FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR HATCH DOOR ALSO FAILED TO OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FAULKNER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (6643 CARLISLE PIKE, MECHANICSBURG, PA 17050, (717) 697-9448) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
WHEN I FILL THE FUEL TANK THE FUEL SPILLS OUT ON ME, ON THE CAR AND THE GROUND, THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I TRY AND FILL THE GAS TANK. I WAS ON DODGE FORUM AND TOLD THIS HAPPENS TO ALL 2007 AND 2008 DODGE NITROS AND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS TOLD THIS IS A VENT VALVE/CHECK VALVE DEFAULT AND THIS VALVE IS SUPPOSED TO SHUT DOWN THE GAS TO PREVENT AN EXPLOSION IN AN ACCIDENT. DODGE HAD A RECALL FOR THEIR JEEP BUT NEVER ISSUED A RECALL FOR THE NITRO!! DODGE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE FUEL TANK WITH NO COST TO ME.
DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR WON’T LOCK OR UNLOCK WITH REMOTE OR BY BUTTONS IN THE CAR. IT HAS TO BE DONE BY HAND.

DOOR LOCKS IN OPERABLE, NEITHER FOB NOR BUTTON WORKS, KEYFOB LOCKS BUT NOT UNLOCK VEHICLE NOT DIAGNOSED NEITHER DEALER NOR MANUFACTURER CONTACTED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE, THE KEYFOB FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEYFOB WILL LOCK THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, HAS FAILED IN EVERY ATTEMPT TO UNLOCK THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, THE INTERNAL LOCK/UNLOCK BUTTONS WERE ALSO INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. AH

UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V438000 (VISIBILITY). THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH JEFF WYLER SPRINGFIELD AUTO MALL (1501 HILLCREST AVE, SPRINGFIELD, OH 45504, 937-325-4601) WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPER RECALL REPAIR WAS COMPLETED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
WHITE PLASTIC STRIP TO AIRBAG COMING OUT FROM BEHIND STEERING, TAKATA RECALL WHITE STRIP COMING OUT BEHIND STEERING, SPEED CONTROL NOT WORKING, HORN WILL NOT BLOW, STRIP IS GETTING LONGER AND IS HARD TO TURN STEERING WHEEL, ON CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY
IN THE PAST TWO YEARS I'VE HAD TO DISCONNECT BATTERY SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE WIPERS WOULD CONTINUOUSLY TURN ON AND LIGHTS ON AND NOT SHUT OFF. AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING OUT OF NO WHERE AFTER IT HAD BEEN PROFESSIONALLY REFILLED JUST A YEAR AGO. SINCE I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE FROM A USED CAR DEALER 3 YEARS AGO, THE POWER TRAIN FEELS LIKE IT PULLS ON TAKE OFF ALSO MAKES AN AIRPLANE LIKE NOISE AND AFTER PICKING UP CERTAIN SPEED IT THEN DRIVES NORMAL. ONCE IN A WHILE ON ACCELERATION IT FEELS LIKE IT LOOSE SPEED OR STALLS. ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON WITH CODE P0507 WHICH CAN BE ANY ISSUE PERTAINING TO HIGHER FUEL PRESSURE. I JUST REPLACED BATTERY LAST MONTH AND DECIDED TO PUT A MORE POWERFUL ONE TO SEE IF MAYBE ISSUES WOULD RESOLVED BUT IT DID NOT HELP. ABOUT 2 DAYS AGO I GOT THE AIR BAG LIGHT TURN ON. WHEN I PURCHASE VEHICLE THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE DRIVE SHAFT HEAT SHIELD. I TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER TO RESOLVE RECALL AND AT THE SAME TIME I MENTIONED CONCERNING HOW THE VEHICLE FELT AND THE HISSING SOUND LIKE AN AIRPLANE TAKING OFF WHEN FIRST ACCELERATING. DODGE DEALER ADVISED STATED THAT THERE WAS A COMPUTER (PCM) UPDATE THAT INCLUDES SOME OF THE ISSUES MENTIONED BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY. I FOUND IT FUNNY THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY CLAIM RESOLVES KNOWN ISSUES BUT I WENT AHEAD AND PAID FOR IT SPECIFICALLY SINCE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA THERE IS NO LEMON LAW WHEN PURCHASING A USED VEHICLE IS PURCHASED AS IS AND I'LL GO AHEAD AND TO MENTIONED THE LOAN WHICH DID NOT ALLOW ME TO BARGAIN BECAUSE THEY CLAIM TO HAVE TO USED BOOK VALUE. TOO BAD FOR DODGE NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE THE CAR HAS GOOD POWER WHEN ITS IN WORKING CONDITION AND IT IS A GOOD LOOKING CAR PLUS ROOMY FOR A SMALL SUV; HOWEVER, A DEALER THAT DOES NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THERE FAULT IS ONE TO STAY AWAY FROM.
I HAVE ALREADY PUT IN PROBLEM TO THIS WEB SITE BUT NO ANSWERS SO FAR, I HAVE A 2007 DODGE NITRO SLT THAT THE AIR BAG STRIPS ARE HANGING OUT BEHIND MY STEERING WHEEL AND NOW MY HORN DOES NOT BLOW, MY SPEED CONTROL IS NOT WORKING, AND THE WHITE STRIP IS INTERFERING WITH MY STEERING COULD YOU PLEASE HAVE MY CAR RECALLED FOR TAKATA AIR BAG IT WAS ON A CITY STREET WHILE MAKING A TURN.
I STARTED MY CAR THEN AFTER 5 MIUTES MY RADIO AND LIGHTS TURNED OFF THE MY ENGINE TURNED OFF. AT 3AM WE HEARD SOMEONE HONKING OUTSIDE AND IT WENT ON FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL A NEIGHBOR KNOCKED TO TELL ME IT WAS MY CAR HONKING BUT THERE WAS NOBODY IN THE CAR. I PRESSED MY ALARM KEY OFF AND ON BUT NOTHING WOULD STOP IT FINALLY I TOOK THE HORN FUSE OUT AND DISCONNECTED THE CAR BATTERY. A PERSON ON THE WEB TOLD ME HE HAD A SIMILAIR PROBLEM AND IT WAS A RECALL "ELECTRICAL SYSTEM" NHTSA VEHICLE SAFETY RECALL. I TYPED IN 2007 DODGE NITRO SLT AND THAT WAS ONE OF THE RECALLS ON MINE. SO THE CAR TURNED OFF WHILE PARKED AND CAR ON AND ALSO AT HE LIGHTS AND THE HORN GOES OFF. A MECHANIC TOLD ME IT SOUNDS LIKE THE (TIPM).
WIPER FLUID SHOOTS OUT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURN ON THE ALARM GOES OFF AND CAR SHUTS OFF DOES ALL THIS AT ONCE.
REFUELING SPILLAGE DODGE NITRO R/T WHEN FUELING THE VEHICLE, FUEL OVERFLOWS UP THRU THE FILLER NECK AND ONTO THE PERSON WHO IS REFUELING THE SUV, THUS CAUSING IT TO SPILL OVER THE PAINT OF THE CAR WITH APPROXIMATELY 30 - 50OZ OF GAS. UNFORTUNATELY THIS OCCURS ABOUT 70% OF THE TIME THE NITRO IS FUELED UP. THIS IS VERY SIMILAR TO A RECALL I HAD ON MY 2005 DODGE DURANGO. ELECTRIC PROBLEM CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LOOSE ALL ENGINE POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD

AT EACH FUEL REFILL, GAS SPEWS OUT AFTER THE PUMP CLICKS OFF AT THE FULL STAGE, VERY UNSAFE AND MESSY. GAS GETS ALL OVER MY SHOES AND CLOTHES AND THE GROUND
TAKATA RECALL I WAS DRIVING AND I ACCELERATED THROUGH A GREEN TRAFFIC LIGHT ON A CITY STREET AND AS I WENT TO PUSH THE BRAKES TO SLOW DOWN FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE MY TRUCK ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN AS I CONTINUED TO PRESS THE BRAKES TO THE FLOOR TO TRY AND STOP BUT IT CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE THEN I TRIED TO PULL OVER TO GET OUT OFF TRAFFIC TO AVOID HITTING ANYONE AND IT STILL NEVER SLOWED DOWN AS I'M TRYING TO PULL OVER. ONCE I GOT OUT OF TRAFFIC I WENT OFF ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THREW IT IN PARK.I SAT THERE FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES THEN STARTED IT BACK UP AND DROVE HOME WITHOUT ANY ISSUE THEN THAT NIGHT MY HUSBAND DROVE IT TO WORK WITHOUT ISSUES BUT WHEN HE GOT OFF THE NEXT DAY AS HE WAS BACKING OUT THE PARKING SPACE HE WAS IN MOTION TO REVERSE OUT THE SPACE AND HE PUSHED THE GAS AND THEN WENT TO PUSH THE BRAKE AND IT ACCELERATED ON HIM SENDING HIM OUT OF CONTROL SPINNING IN A CIRCLE THEN HITTING A PARKED VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RAY LAETHEM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (18001 MACK AVE, DETROIT, MI 48224, (313) 884-7210), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE COST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
The wiper relays went out recently and somehow caused the door locks to beep and go crazy then die completely. And a few weeks ago the brake came undone somehow and fell into the wheel well, ripping the inside of the rim open causing a blow out while my wife, 2 year old and I were on the freeway. And now after taking it to 2 different dodge dealerships, the problems are not fixed, there is more warning lights on than I've ever seen. And so far both places have told me they fixed an emblem on the steering wheel, and that the other recalls aren't applicable because of being a 2007 and the recalls are for the 2008. Even though my nitro is obviously having the same if not worse problems. All the way down to the emergency brake not working, we love our nitro and dodge as a company and would please like some kind of help with this situation. Our vehicle is our only source of transportation and it is not safe for us to be driving, especially in the winter conditions we just got hit with here. Thank you for your help to whom this may concern. Here are some pictures of what happened with the brakes, thank the lord we were getting off the freeway when the brakes gave way, if we had been on the freeway 15 seconds more, the accident would have been fatal without question.

AS YOU FILL UP VEHICLE WITH GAS MAKE A CLICKING SOUND WHEN FULL AND SPILL OUT OF TANK GETTING GAS ON CAR. THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE AND IS HAZARDOUS TO THE ENVIRONMENT.THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BACK IN 2007.
I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT ABOUT THE DOOR HANDLES ON MY NITRO 3 OUT OF 4 OF THEM ARE BROKEN AND CANNOT BE OPENED FROM THE INSIDE. THEY BROKE BY SIMPLY TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR, IT MADE A POPPING NOISE AND NO LONGER WORKED A WEEK LATER ANOTHER DOOR AND A FEW DAYS LATER A THIRD DOOR. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY QUOTED ME ALMOST $200 FOR EACH DOOR AND CONFIRMED THAT IT IS BROKEN DOOR HANDLE. AFTER DECIDING TO FOR GO REPAIRS I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND DISCOVERED THAT MANY MANY MORE PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE A CHILD MIGHT BE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK CLIMBS INTO THE VEHICLE AND CAN'T GET OUT. THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR IS TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOW WHICH ARE ELECTRIC AND REACH HAND OUT AND OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE. SO THAT IS A SECOND SAFETY ISSUE IF CAR BATTERY GOES OUT AND YOU CAN'T OPEN WINDOW YOU ARE BASICALLY LOCKED IN YOUR CAR. I CONTACTED DODGE AND NO RECALL HAS BEEN PUT IN FOR THIS ISSUE.I URGE YOU TO PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND YOU WILL FIND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS AND IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT I BELIEVE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR. WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON MONDAY MORNING AT 60MPH THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN LOST ALL POWER AND CAN'T BE RESTARTED ALMOST CRASHED ..HAVE REPLACED ALL THE MAJOR SUSPECT TO FIND OUT ALONG WITH 1000S OF OTHERS THE ANTI THEIF DEVICE OR THE WCM IS THE PROBLEM AND WE AS CONSUMERS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO COVER THE COST OR HEAD ACHES OF GETTING THIS RESOLVED.THERE ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO ISSUE A RECALL SO PEOPLE CAN GET THERE TRUCKS BCK ON THE ROAD..
I HAVE OWNED THE CAR SINCE 2012 AND HAVE NO MAJOR ISSUES UNTIL NOW. MY REAR B.C. ACK PASSENGERS WINDOW MALFUNCTIONED OUT OF NOWHERE AND I TREAT MY TRUCK WITH THE MOST CAR. I MAINTAIN IT, SERVICE IT, GARAGE KEPT, AND IT ONLY HAS 90000 MILES AS OF LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS FORCED TO DRIVE IT.

WIPERS OPERATE ON THERE ON AS SOON AS KEY IS TURNED ON. REPLACED MULTIFUNTION SWITCH, WIPER SWITCH AND WIPER MOTOR. WIPERS STILL ON. TAKEN TO DEALER DID RECALL FOR NEW RELAYS, WIPERS STILL ON. DEALER WILL NOT LOOK AT IT SAYS RECALL COMPLETED. TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND TIPM IS WHATS CAUSING ISSUE. DODGE WON'T FIX IT UNDER RECALL WHICH IS CAUSING THE ISSUE FROM THE BEGINING
THE DRIVER SIDE BREAK LIGHT AND REVERSE LIGHT HAS HAD TO BE REPLACED TOO FREQUENTLY. NOW THE GEAR SHIFT - DIAG CODE U0103 SEEMS TO CAUSE THE LOSS OF COMMUNICATION OF THE GEAR POSITION. THAT ONLY ALLOWS THE VEHICLE TO ONLY TRAVEL ABOUT 20MPH AND APPROX 3000 RPM , WHICH CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF THERE IS A UNEXPECTED SLOW DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY
HORN HONKS WHENEVER IT WANTS. ABS, ESP/BAS, TRACTION CONTROL, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON. ABS ESP/BAS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WERE INTERMITTENT BUT NOW ARE CONSISTENT. ENGINE CODE COMES AND GOES AND SAYS IT CANT COMMUNICATE WITH TIPM. OCCASIONALLY WHEN PARKING AND PULLING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT IT FEELS LIKE THERE IS NO POWER STEERING/ RUNS ROUGH WHILE TURNING SHARPLY BUT THERE IS NO LEAK IN POWER STEERING AND IT IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM.

FUELING AT GAS PUMP , OVERFLOWS ALL OVER THE SIDE OF MY VEHICLE ! CANT FILL UP THE TANK TO FULL !!
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK IF I DO NOT MANUALLY STOP THE PUMP BEFORE THE TANK IS FULL, THE TANK WILL OVERFLOW. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AT MULTIPLE STATIONS USING MULTIPLE PUMPS. THE TANK DOES NOT ALLOW THE PUMPS TO AUTO SHUTOFF FUNCTION TO WORK
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEAR MY HORN START TO HONK. I FEW SECONDS LATER SOME OF MY WARNING LIGHTS STARTED TO LIGHT UP AND I DECIDED TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP THE CAR. AFTER I DID THIS I OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. I ASSUME THIS MIGHT BE THE INTEGRATED POWER MODULE. AFTER THIS HAPPENED I AM UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE OR PLACE IT IN DRIVE. IT IS TOTALLY UNDRIVEABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE NITRO. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OVERHEAT AND THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE INCREASED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ALLOWED IT TO COOL DOWN. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, IT RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEAD GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND POWER GOES OUT. NO AIR, NO RADIO, ENGINE WILL NOT START.
MY VEHICLE BRAKE LIGHTM, ABS LIGHT,RETRACTION LIGHTM, AND ESP LIGHT REMAINS ON, WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, ITS AFFECTS THE ALECELARATION AND THE STABILITY OF THE VEHICLE, RESULT OF AN DIAGNOISTIC TEST, I WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICAL MAYBE RECALLED.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WON'T GO OFF AND VEHICLE WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT TO CAUSE THIS OCCURANCE! MY SON AND FIANC WERE JUST N A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT IN MY FIANC'S CHEVY AVALANCHE THAT CAUSED THE TRUCK TO ROLL AND OUR FRIEND, PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE, TO BEN KILLED. NOW MY SPECIAL NEEDS 10YEAR OLD WON'T GET IN THIS NEW CAR BECAUSE BABY HE'S AFRAID SINCE THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON IT WILL CAUSE US TO GET INTO A VEHICLE. I NEED A SOLID RESOLUTION TO THIS ASAP! I JUST FINALLY GOT HIM TO RIDE IN A VEHICLE AGAIN!

IMAGINE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH YOUR TWO TODDLERS AND THE VEHICLE STALLS. NEXT YOUR HORN STARTS HONKING OUT OF CONTROL, THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS BEGIN TO UNCONTROLLABLY LOCK AND UNLOCK. YOU HAVE TO OPEN DOORS AT THE PERFECT TIME TO GET OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE. THAT'S NOT ALL! THEN YOUR WINDOWS START TO ROLL DOWN BY THEMSELVES. OH AND DON'T FORGET THE CRAZY ADVENTURE YOU'LL ENDURE WHEN YOU DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE AT NIGHT AND THEN YOUR HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF BY THEMSELF! YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT KIND OF DAY YOU'RE ABOUT TO HAVE WHEN YOU GET INTO THIS DEMON CAR. IF YOU LIKE TO LIVE LIFE ON THE EDGE I HAVE THE PERFECT VEHICLE IN MIND FOR YOU! IT SOUNDS LIKE MULTIPLE NITROS WERE EFFECTED BY THE SAME ISSUE, BUT WE WOULD RATHER SWEEP THE ISSUE UNDER THE RUG INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE DEATH TRAPS. I AM APPALLED THAT THIS VEHICLE HASN'T BEEN RECALLED. MAYBE SOMETHING WILL BE DONE WHEN ENOUGH PEOPLE DIE RELATED TO THE MALFUNCTIONS.
WHEN I CLICK MY KEY FOB TO UNLOCK MY TRUCK THE FAN COMES ON ALL BY ITS SELF ON THE ENGINE. WHEN THIS HAPPEN IT WANT LET ME UNLOCK THE TRUCK I HAVE TO STICK THE KEY IN THE DOOR TO GAIN ENTRY. THEN THE FAN SHUTS OFF WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING WITH THIS!
LOCKS QUIT WORKING THE FOB WILL ONLY UNLOCK THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. ALL OTHER DOORS HAVE TO BE DONE MANUALLY AND I CAN'T OPEN THE BACK HATCH BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE TO PUT IN A KEY AND UNLOCK IT.
