HORN HONKS RANDOMLY. SOMETIMES BLARING, WHEN I PRESS IT DOESN'T WORK. IT HAPPENS WHEN I AM DRIVING AND WHEN THE CAR IS SITTING. I FOUND SEVERAL PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM FROM CHRYSLER WITH THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULES (TIPMS).
THE LIGHT W/ THE AIRBAG AND SEAT BELT SIGN ON DASHBOARD ARE ON FOR THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. IT WORRIES ME BECAUSE MY TEENAGE TWIN DAUGHTERS DRIVE THIS CAR. SECONDLY, WE HAD WORK ON THE CAR DONE LESS THAN A YEAR TO FIX SHIFTING CABLES OR SOMETHING TO THAT AFFECT, TO WHERE DEALERSHIP HAD TO TAKE THE COMPLETE DASH OUT AND EVER SINCE THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON. NOT TO MENTION THE RATTLING THAT GOES WITH IT. WE DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS CAR BECAUSE I AM TRYING TO PREVENT FROM SOMETHING ACTUALLY HAPPENING WHETHER WE ARE STATIONARY OR DRIVING. IT ALSO MAKES A DINGING SOUND WHEN LIGHT COMES ON.
ALARM PROBLEM. HORN SOUNDS AT RANDOM TIMES FOR NO REASON. IT GOES OFF IN A ERRATIC PATTERN AND I HAD TO REMOVE THE HORN FUSES TO SILENCE IT. BECAUSE IT GOES OFF SO MUCH, IT IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. I REPLACED THE BATTERY 7 MONTHS AGO (NOVEMBER OF 2018) BUT ITS NOW DRAINING RAPIDLY. I'VE BEEN UNABLE TO START MY VEHICLE TWICE IN THE LAST FEW DAYS. IT HAS NOT YET DIED WHILE IN MOTION. ALSO I HAVE A LIFT GATE AJAR FAULT AND HAD TO TURN OFF MY INTERIOR AUTO LIGHTS SO I CAN DRIVE AT NIGHT WITHOUT THEM ON. HOWEVER THE LIGHTS DO FLICKER ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY, EVEN WITH THE AUTO LIGHT FEATURE OFF. WHEN I USE MY TURN SIGNAL TO GO RIGHT, MY INTERIOR LIGHTS ALWAYS COME ON UNTIL THE BLINKER IS OFF.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V291000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LARRY H. MILLER DODGE RAM TUCSON (4220 22ND ST, TUCSON, AZ 85711) TO BE REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 159,000.
SO WHY DRIVING THIS 07 NITRO IMEDITALY YOU GET A CHIME FROM THE AIRBAG LIGHT IT VERY SCARY KNOWING THAT YOU GET IN ACCIDENT AND LOOSE YOUR LIFE THINKING AIR BAGS WONT DEPLOY DUE TO THE AIRBAG LIGHT NEVER GOING AWAY AND WHEN IT DOES NOT LONG AND IT RIGHT BACK ONI FEEL THIS BE A RECALL ONLY BECAUSE THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH ANY VEHICLE OUT IN THE WORLD
ON 3/21/18 I WAS DRIVING THROUGH A MAJOR INTERSECTION WHEN THE BATTERY DASH LIGHT CAME ON IN MY TRUCK. I FOUND THIS TO BE ODD SINCE I HAD JUST HAD A BRAND-NEW BATTERY INSTALLED ON IN MY TRUCK ON 1/8/18, THEN THE FOLLOWING EVENTS OCCURRED IN RAPID SUCCESSION: ALL OF THE DASH WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON, THE A/C WHICH WAS ON AT THE TIME AND BLOWING VERY COLD AIR, BEGAN BLOWING HOT AIR, I ATTEMPTED TO ROLL DOWN THE ELECTRIC POWERED WINDOWS AND THEY WOULD NOT WORK; THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON WITHOUT PROMPTING. I QUICKLY DECIDED TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK HOME SINCE I WAS A SHORT DISTANCE AWAY. I DECIDED TO TAKE A ROUTE THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD SINCE I WAS UNSURE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN NEXT AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BEST NOT TO BE ON A MAJOR ROADWAY IF ANYTHING FURTHER OCCURRED. I MADE A LEFT INTO THE RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD AND NOTICED MY TRUCK WAS MOVING VERY SLUGGISH AND MAKING A WEIRD NOISE. I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN UP AHEAD; HOWEVER, BEFORE I COULD APPLY THE BRAKES MY TRUCK JUST CUT OFF. I QUICKLY PUT THE GEAR IN PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO TURN ON MY HAZARD LIGHT FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC TO GO AROUND ME BUT I REALIZED AT THIS POINT MY TRUCK HAD ABSOLUTELY NO POWER. A GENTLEMAN ON A BICYCLE STOPPED TO ASSIST ME AND WE DECIDED IT WOULD BE BEST IF HE PUSHED MY TRUCK AROUND THE CORNER I WAS STALLED AT, TO KEEP FROM OBSTRUCTING ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HE INSTRUCTED ME TO PUT THE TRUCK IN NEUTRAL BUT I WAS UNABLE TO DO SO, I COULD NOT TURN THE CAR ON NOR COULD I MOVE IT OUT OF PARK GEAR. THE STREET I WAS STOPPED ON IS A MAJOR ROAD FOR ENTERING AND EXITING THE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PASS THROUGH TO GET HOME. THE STREET I WAS ON IS A MAJOR ROAD FOR ENTERING AND EXITING THE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PASS THROUGH TO GET HOME. I CALLED AAA AND HAD MY TRUCK TOWED HOME; ITS STILL SITTING BROKEN.
EMERGENCY BRAKE FAILS. WHEN IT FIRST BEGAN IS WAS NOT OFTEN, BUT BECAME MORE FREQUENT. UPON PARKING (ANYWHERE) AND ENGAGING THE BRAKE IT DOESN'T KEEP THE VEHICLE FROM MOVING.
ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WHEN PRESSING UNLOCK BUTTON MY DOORS LOCK INSTEAD. MY PLUG OUTLET NO LONGER WORKS. WHEN ROLLING DOWN DRIVER WINDOW DOWN. PASSENGER WINDOW WILL ROLL DOWN AND UP ALSO. MY GAS CAP LIGHT HAS STAYED AND AND GAS CAP HAS BEEN REPLACED.SHIFT SOLENOID
EVERYTHING FALLING APART ON THIS CAR. NOW THE HORN GOES OFF WHEN ITS OFF, ON THE FREEWAY OR JUST AT A STOP LIGHT, THE OTHER THING, WHEN I FILL UP THE GAS TANK THE GAS SHOOTS BACK UP.
MY TRUCK IS HAVE TROUBLE WITH TIMPS SYSTEM AND IT'S A 2007 AND I SEEN IT WAS A RECALL
TIPM MODULE IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY FOR WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP. WASHER NO LONGER WORKS TO CLEAN WINDOW AND CAUSES SAFETY ISSUE FOR DRIVER VISION OF THE ROAD. SEEMS TO BE ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLES TIPM MODULE MINE WAS REPLACED BY DEALER IN 2010 FOR WIPER NOT WORKING SAFETY ISSUE. NOW WASHER PUMP AND DOOR LOCKS ARE NOT WORKING ON THIS TIPM MODULE. BOTH ISSUE OCCURRED SAME DAY WITH THIS TIPM.
TIPM MODULE DEFECT THAT CAUSES SAFETY ISSUE WHEN LOCKS DO NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK ELECTRICALLY. VEHICLE NO LONGER HAS CONTROL OVER LOCKS AND DOORS DO NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. REAR HATCH CAN NOT BE OPENED TO RELEASE PASSENGER IN AN ACCIDENT AND DOORS DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN VEHICLE REACHES SPEED SAFETY ISSUE WITH DOORS AND PASSENGERS OPENING WHILE DRIVING.
ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, WHILE DRIVING ON PUBLIC STREETS, HORN, WINDSHIELD WASHER, DOOR LOCKS GO ON AT THEIR WILL, NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY WILL GO ON AND EVEN WITH THE KEY OFF THEY STILL CONTINUE TO HONK SPRAY WATER AND LOCKS GO UP AND DOWN. AIR CONDITIONER/HEAT FAN GOES ON AND OFF AT WILL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 DODGE NITRO. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL POPPING NOISE AND THE DRIVESHAFT EMERGED THROUGH THE FLOOR AND STRUCK THE AIR BAGS. THE FRONTAL AND DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE. THE PASSENGER ALSO SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE FACE AND HAD LOSS OF VISION. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CLEAR LAKE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (15711 GULF FREEWAY, WEBSTER, TX 77598), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND A CHRYSLER ENGINEER DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO RON CARTER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (3005 FM 528 RD, ALVIN, TX 77511) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT BELTS, AIR BAGS, DRIVE SHAFT, AIR BAG MODULE, AND A HOLE IN THE FLOOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
CAR CUT OFF DRIVING DOWN THE STREET TAKING MY KID TO SCHOOL. HAD IT TOWED TO FIND OUT ITS A SHORT IN THE TIPM (TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) WHICH IS BASICALLY THE BRAINS OF THE CAR. ALL ITS FUNCTIONS RUN THIS THIS OVERLY POORLY THOUGHT OUT COMPUTER. REPAIRS WILL RUN ABOUT 1,200. THE RECALLS FOR THIS PETITION HAS BEEN DECLINED. REAL CLASSY DODGE. I REFUSE TO PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS ANYMORE.
THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT ESP/BAS, ESP/TCS, ABS, AND AIRBAG WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATE (NO FLASHING) WITH LOSS OF CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION INTERMITTENTLY, BUT NOTABLE VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONING OCCURS WHEN ALL LIGHTS TURN OFF! WITH NO WARNING MALFUNCTION LIGHTS, THE ENGINE MISFIRES AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 55MPH, BREAKS LOCK UP WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BREAK AT ANY SPEED (EVEN COASTING W/DRY ROAD CONDITIONS, AND THERE WILL BE COMPLETE LOSS OF CRUISE CONTROL FX. WHEN THE LIGHTS TURN BACK ON, THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONS PROPERLY W/NO MISFIRING OR BREAKING ISSUES. WHHEN THE PROBLEM FIRST STARTED, CRUISE CONTROL WOULD WORK AT THIS TIME ALSO, UNTIL THAT FUNCTION COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING AFTER A FEW INSTANCES AS STATED. IN ADDITION, THE HORN STOPPED SOUNDING, RADIO RANDOMLY TURNS ON WHEN CAR DOOR IS OPENED W/3 BUTTON KEY FOB (NO ENGINE STARTER), RADIO/DISC PLAYER FREEZES INTERMITTENTLY WITH LOSS OF FUNCTION/ABILITY TO CHANGE ANYTHING BESIDES TURNING ON OR OFF. BREAK ILLUMINATION LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY TURNS ON, THEN WILL TURN OFF (NO E BREAK BEING ACTIVATED). WHEN WARNING LIGHTS ARE ON, NO CAR DEALERSHIP OR SERVICE IS ABLE TO OBTAIN CODES AND ADAMANTLY STATE THIS IS NOT OKAY/NORMAL FOR ANY VEHICLE TO BE HAVING THESE SERIOUS ISSUES W/NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATING AND FOR VEHICLE TO IMPROVE WHEN WARNING LIGHTS TURN ON. MORE SO, THAT THE SYSTEMS LARGE AMOUNT OF ERRATIC INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONING IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD!! CURRENTLY NO RECALLS FOR VIN # BUT 2007 NITROS HAVE RECALLS-MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING SIMILAR SAFETY ISSUES WITH AN EMERGENT NEED TO REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO NHTSA. I WILL RESUME OPERATING VEHICLE REGULARLY WHEN RESPONSIBILITY IS TAKEN, ADMITTANCE TO THERE BEING PROBLEMS OF NO FAULT OF MY OWN (OWNER 2009 APPROX 2000 MILES AT PURCHASE W/ALL PROPER MAINTENANCE PERFORMED TO DATE). EAGERLY AWAITING NHTSA'S REPLY IN ORDER TO PROPERLY DOCUMENT AND CORRECT THIS SAFETY ISSUE.
MY AIRBAG SENSOR WILL NOT STOP CHIMMING. IT WORRIES ME BECAUSE I'M UNCERTAIN IF IT WILL EJECT WHILE JUST DRIVING. THAT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OPPOSE TO BEING SAFE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V121000 (POWER TRAIN, AIR BAGS, STRUCTURE). THE CONTACT BELIEVED THAT THE RECALL NOTIFICATION WAS SENT TO THE OWNER FROM WHOM HE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-247-9753 AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE FAILURE. WE WERE DRIVING LIKE EVERY MORNING TO OUR WORK AND WHEN WE TRY TO PASS THE INTERSECTION WE HAVE TO STOP ON A YIELD SIGN TO LET THE OTHER TRAFFIC PASS. WHEN I TRY TO HIT THE ACCELERATE ALL THE LATERAL AIR BAGS EXPLODED WITHOUT REASON AND THE1ST THING WE THOUGHT WAS THAT SOMEONE HIT US. I TRY TO MOVE THE CAR AND THE CAR WASN'T RUNNING AT ALL ALSO I CANNOT STOP IT SO I HAVE TO TURN IN OFF. WE GO OUT OF THE CAR TO SEE IF WE GOT HIT BUT THE CAR DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING SO WE TRY TO SEE UNDER THE CAR AND ALL THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS CRACKED IN HALF! THE SHERIFFS COME TO THE SCENE AND THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE CAR WAS IN THAT CONDITION IF WE DIDN'T HAVE A WRECK OR ANYTHING! THEY SAY THAT EVERYTHING LOOKS LIKE A SAFETY RECALL, WE DID A RESEARCH ONLINE AND WAS RIGHT MY CAR HAS A SAFETY RECALL SINCE 2013 AND THEY NEVER SEND ME A LETTER OR CALL ME TO LET ME KNOW ABOUT IT! I DROVE THAT CAR EVERYDAY TO WORK,TO PICK UP MY KIDS FROM SCHOOL ETC..ETC.. AND I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED I COULD DIE IF MY CAR WASN'T STOP! I WAS VERY LUCKY THAT I WAS ON A YIELD SIGN WHEN EVERYTHING HAPPEN. NOW MY CAR INSURANCE DIDN'T WANT TO PAY ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY FOUND OUT ABOUT THE RECALL AND TOLD ME THAT THE AGENCY HAS TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING BECAUSE THAT WAS A MANUFACTURER PROBLEM! BUT THE DODGE DON'T WANT TO PAY OR FIX ANYTHING THEY ALSO HAVE THE NERVE TO TOLD ME THAT MY CAR DIDN'T HAD A SAFETY RECALL AT ALL EVEN WHEN THE MOPAR PAGE SAY THAT MY CAR DID HAD A RECALL! NOW I'M WITHOUT CAR AND DEALING WITH THE EXPENSES OF TOWING MY CAR ETC..ETC..
MY PARKING BRAKE HAS NOT BEEN HOLDING MY VEHICLE AND THIS TIME IT ABOUT RAN ME OVER AND PUT MY GRANDSON IN THE LAKE! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS! THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THE DATE FOR WHEN THIS HAPPENED IS THE MOST RECENT. IT'S BEEN INTERMITTENTLY SINCE I GOT IT AND NOTHING WAS EVER FOUND WRONG....
FAILURE OF DRIVE TRAIN AND TRANSMISSION AT 94,000 MILES. AUTHORIZED DODGE DEALER SHOP IS SAYING $13,000 TO FIX.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO AN ISSUE WITH THE TIPM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V291000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.
HAD NEW TRANSMISSION PAN INSTALLED AT DEALER; NOW HAVE A SHUDDER WHEN AT 28-35 MPH AND AT 38-47 MPH. SHUDDERS LIKE YOU RAN OVER A RUMBLE STRIP.
ALL THE ELECTRICAL COMPONER IS NOT WORKING IN THE DASH ALL THE LIGHT IS ON SAY IS NOT BUS

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE OPERATING CORRECTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 183,000.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS WENT OUT UNEXPECTEDLY, CV AXEL BOOT TORE, TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD
DURING REFUELING MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN "BURPING" GAS BACK WHEN NEAR FULL. AT FIRST THIS WAS OCCURRING WHEN USING THE AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF ON GAS PUMP HANDLES, BUT IT CONTINUED TO DO SO EVEN WHEN MANUALLY OPERATING GAS PUMP HANDLES. AFTER SEARCHING THROUGH FORUMS WITH THIS ISSUE, IT APPEARS IT'S A KNOWN FAULT WITH THE ROLL-OVER VALVE WHICH DODGE IS CORRECTING AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. HAVING A KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT THAT CAUSES FUEL TO SPILL IN QUANTITY (ESTIMATING A PINT OR MORE) WHEN REFUELING AND THE DISTINCT PROBABLY THAT FUEL WOULD SPILL IN THE EVENT OF A ROLL-OVER IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE FORCED INTO PAYING FOR.
TAKATA RECALL THERE ARE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE TIPM WITH WIPER AND THERE STUFF GOING WRONG FROM C7 AREA OF THE TIPM ON 07 DODGE NITRO SLT

THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL AND STOP THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V121000 (POWER TRAIN, AIR BAGS, STRUCTURE); HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NO RECALLS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
MY DAUGHTER ATTEMPTED TO EXIT THE VEHICLE UPON PARKING IN OUR DRIVEWAY FROM THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SIDE WHEN THE PLASTIC HANDLE SNAPPED!!
VEHICLE STALLLS WHILE DRIVING IT HAPPENS AT ALL SPEEDS AND ALL TYPES OF ROADS HIGHWAY 70 MPH TO NEIGHBORHOOD AT 25 MPH. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ENGAGES, ALL INTERIOR LIGHT START FLASHING ON, EXCEPT ALL THE LIGHTS FOR THE HEATER CONTROLS GO OUT AND WE LOSE POWER TO CIGARETTE LIGHTER AND POWER STEERING IS LOST. IF IT DOESN'T LOSE POWER COMPLETELY THE TRANSMISSION WON'T SHIFT AND THE CAR NEEDS TO BE SHUT OF AND RESTARTED. OTHER DAYS VEHICLE WON'T START AT ALL, OR WILL START AND IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF.
WHEN FILLING THE GAS TANK IT SPEWS GAS OUT OF TANK ALL OVER THE VEHICLE, GROUND AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS NEARBY. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE TANK AS SOON AS THE PUMP STOPS.
OUR PROBLEMS STARTED WHERE THE VEHICLE WOULD LOCK OR UNLOCK ITSELF AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE PARKED ARMED AND UNOCCUPIED. THE LIGHTS HEADLIGHTS WOULD COME ON AND THE ALARM WOULD SOUND. THEN THE HORN STARTED GOING OFF BY ITSELF FOR NO REASON AGAIN VEHICLE UNOCCUPIED, USUALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, NOW WHEN YOU DRIVE IT THE HORN HAS GONE OFF A FEW TIMES. THE OTHER DAY MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IT AND SHE WAS IN THE LEFT TURNING LANE AND THE ENGINE STALLED, SHE HAD TO PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTART IT, VERY ANNOYING AND DANGEROUS.
"TIMP FAILURE", APPARENTLY MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS TIMP REQUIRING REPLACEMENT DUE TO MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL FAILURES. I AM UNABLE TO UNLOCK MY VEHICLE.
WHEN I GOT MY RIDE THE HORN WAS UNHOOKED. SO I RECONNECTED IT AND NOW THE HORN HONKS ITSELF AND MY AUTO UP WINDOW SWITCH ISN'T WORKING.
WHEN ACCELERATING MY VEHICLE I BOUGHT TWO DAYS PRIOR (USED), FROM BEING A A STOP LIGHT, IT JERKED/ WOULDN'T ACCELERATE RPMS WENT VERY HIGH, MADE A GRINDING SOUND AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME IN IMMEDIATELY. WHEN ABLE TO PULL THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT TO ASSESS WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED I NOTICED IT DUMPING TRANSMISSION FLUID HAD TO HAVE VEHICLE TOWED.
THE POWER DOOR LOCKS QUIT WORKING WITH THE KEY FOB OR MANUALLY PRESSING THE SWITCH . LIGHTS FLASH LIKE IT IS WORKING. HAVE TO LOCK THE CAR BY PUSHING THE MANUAL LOCK PLUNGER FOR THE BACK DOORS AND THE PASSENGER DOOR. THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM BECAUSE I WAS DRIVING AND HAD THE CHILD SAFETY LOCKS ON AND HAD TO STOP AND QUICKLY GET THE CHILDREN OUT BUT COULDN'T OPEN THE DOORS WITHOUT CLIMBING INTO THE BACK SEAT AND PULLING UP THE LOCK PLUNGERS.
HORN NOT WORKING OR GOING ON BY ITSELF SAME PROBLEM ON OTHER DODGE PLYMOUTH VEHICLES 2007 THRU2010 PROBLEM IS TIPM RELAY AND FUSE BOX THE COST TO REPLACED THE BOX ABOUT 500 DODGE KNOWS ABOUT THE PROBLEM I DONT KNOW WAY THEY DONT RECALL THIS VEHICLES.
I JUST GOT A USED 2007 DODGE NITRO IN OCT. 2016. I HAD IT 2 MONTHS I NOTICE THAT EVERY SO OFTEN I HAD TROUBLE WITH THE POWER DOOR LOCKS NOT WORKING. THEN AT 3 MONTHS I GO TAKE MY CHILD TO SCHOOL, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY HORN GOES OFF, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS START GOING OFF AND SPITTING OUT FLUID, EVERYTHING IN THE VEHICLE STARTS GOING CRAZY AND THEN I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A VERY SHARP CURVE WHEN THE VEHICLE CUTS OFF AND WILL NOT START BACK. I WAS ABLE TO GET PULLED OVER SAFE BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DIFFERENTLY BECAUSE I WAS IN A CURVE ON A MAJOR ROAD AND SCHOOL TIME RIGHT AT THE SCHOOL. HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) WENT OUT AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT $1000. NOW I SEE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS NOT RIGHT THAT CHRYSLER NEVER PUT OUT A RECALL ON THIS OR THAT NOTHING WAS EVER DONE ABOUT IT. I PAID ALMOST $2000 FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THE PART EITHER BECAUSE THEY SAY IT'S JUST A FUSE BOX. PLEASE SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE OR SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED IF NOT ALREADY.

THE CONTACT HAD TO MANUALLY LOCK THE DOORS AND COULD NOT OPEN THE REAR LATCH DOOR. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE MAIN MODULE FUSE BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
ON SATURDAY 11/5/16 WHEN TRYING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE THE DRIVER'S INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SNAPPED OFF MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, MORE SO IN AN EMERGENCY.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS OF 70MPH MY VEHICLE THREW ITSELF INTO 2ND GEAR AND HAS BEEN STUCK IN THIS POSITION FOR OVER THE LAST COUPLE DAYS. I DID NOT TOUCH ANYTHING TO THROW IT INTO THIS GEAR. I DRIVE A STANDARD. WHEN I TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP. I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS LOCKED IN 2ND GEAR DUE TO THE TIPM. I AM HAVING TO ORDER THE PART AND GET IT REPLACED. I WAS DRIVING WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD SON IN MY VEHICLE I THANK GOD THAT NOTHING WORSE HAPPENED. *TR
TAKATA RECALL CAR IS HAVING ISSUE WITH HORN HONKING AT RANDOM TIMES, WINDSHIELD WIPERS GOING OFF AT RANDOM TIMES, WINDOWS ROLLING DOWN WITHOUT REASON, DOORS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING, AND HEADLIGHTS TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING. POSES A SERIOUS THREAT WHILE DRIVING ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
TAKATA RECALL - THE NITRO WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WHEN THE WHITE PLASTIC STRIP CAME STICKING OUT OF MY STEERING WHEEL COLUMN. BEFORE THE WHITE PLASTIC STRIP CAME STICKING OUT BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL, IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMETHING WAS RUBBING OR GRINDING EVERY TIME I WOULD TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE EBS/BAS LIGHT AND THE SLIPPERY WHEN WET LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. NOW THE NITRO WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT WON'T START AND IT WILL CLICK ONE TIME ALONG WITH THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS COMING ON AND THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL TURN ON AUTOMATICALLY. COULD THIS BE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM OR SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE AIRBAG?
