BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE. HARD TO STOP, HISSING NOISE, HARD TO BACK UP, AT IDLE WHEN AT STOP LIGHT CAR CUTS OFF, IF AT STOP SIGN FOR TOO LONG WITH FOOT ON BREAKS CAR SHAKES THEN CUTS OFF, CAN'T MAKE SUDDEN BRAKE OR CAR JERK AND THEN IS HARD TO STOP, AIR PRESSURE NOISE WHEN APPLYING BREAKS. WHEN DRIVING AT SPEED WHILE TURNING AND TRYING TO BREAK TO SLOW DOWN, CAR WON'T SLOW DOWN. BREAK PEDDLE EXTREMELY HARD WHEN BREAKING.
ALTHOUGH MY DRIVERS SIDE DOORS IS CLOSED, THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT INDICATOR REMAINS ON. ALSO, WHEN I SLOW DOWN OR STOP A WARNING BEEP AND INDICATOR COMES ON TELLING ME TO SHIFT TO PARK. I ASSUME THIS IS PART OF THE SAME PROBLEM. NOT ONLY IS THIS ANNOYING BUT IT CAUSES MY INSIDE LIGHTS TO REMAIN ON, WHICH CAUSES THE BATTERY TO RUN DOWN. IN ADDITION IT IS A HAZARD AS I CANNOT LOCK MY DOORS. THIS COULD ALLOW SOMEONE TO ENTER MY VEHICLE TO DO HARM. IT ALSO, ALLOWS MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO OPEN THE DOOR WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. I KNOW THAT THAT HAVE BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS AND I FEEL YOU SHOULD DO YOUR DUTY AND PLACE A RECALL ON THIS HAZARD.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR GIVES WARNING OF DOOR AJAR WHEN DOOR IS COCOMPLETELY SHUT, CAUSING THE SAFETY OF MY 5 YEAR OLD AND I TO BE COMPROMISED BY THE VEHICLES INABILITY TO LOCK THE DOORS WHILE IN MOTION AS WELL AS LEAVING THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON WHICH IMPAIRS EVENING VISABILITY. LASTLY IT CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A WARNING ALARM WHICH IMPAIRS DRIVERS CONCENTRATION AND ABILITY TO MAINTAIN FOCUS AND SAFETY ON THE ROAD AND ON OTHER DRIVERS AS WELL AS DRIVING SAFETY PROCEDURES. PROBLEM.IS INTERMITTENT AMD WILL HAPPEN WHEN PARKED OR RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING. PROBLEM PERSISTS EVEN AFTER SLAMMING DOOR, WHICH CAN CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONALITY AND SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE THAT IS CONTROLLED THROUGH THE DOORS CONTROL PANNEL. IF ISSUE PERSISTS I PLAN ON FILING WITH THE BBB IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE AND THE NEGLIGENCE OF FORD IN THIS HAZARDOUS COMPROMISE ON SAFETY FOR THOSE IN THE VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY IN CASES INCLUDING YOUTH AND CHILDREN.
THE VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PRESSURE IS COMING ON AND JUST RECEIVED A FULL OR CHANGE. THE FUEL INLET LIGHT IS COMING ON AND ON A FULL TANK. THE RECALLS DON'T SHOW ON MY VECHILE AND I'M CONCERNED AS I HAVE 4 CHILDREN. THAT SAFETY OF MY PURCHASE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE FROM ME OR MY FAMILY.
THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED A THROTTLE SUDDEN ACCELERATION WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 45 MILES DOWN A ROAD AND SUDDENLY A THRUST OF ACCELERATION JUMPED THE VEHICLE AND THEN EVEN WHEN I PUSHED ON THE BRAKES THE CAR THRUST FORWARD SO I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND IT STOPPED, LUCKILY THERE WERE NO CARS AROUND. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS AT A RED LIGHT AND THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN I FLOORED THE BRAKE BUT STILL THE CAR WOULDN'T STOP AND THEN PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND THE CAR STOPPED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS TO INDICATE AN ISSUE.
THE DOOR IS AJAR LIGHT ON THE CONTROL PANEL STAYS ON WHEN THE DOOR IS ACTUALLY CLOSED. IT KEEPS THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS AND THERE ARE A LOT OF COMPLAINTS AND REQUEST FOR A RECALL DUE TO THE SAFETY OF THE PASSENGERS.
RIGHT DRIVER DOOR AJAR STAYS LITE EVEN WITH DOOR SHUT. THIS CAUSES INSIDE LIGHT TO STAY ON TILL CAR IS DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 50FT. THIS LIGHT STAYING ON CAUSES VISIBILITY TO BE POOR ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT IS A SAFETY ISSUE.THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT CAR NEW AND HAS JUST CONTINUED TO GET WORSE.
THE LATCH ASSEMBLY SWITCH TO THE SENSOR THAT'S NOT WORK CORRECTLY CAUSING THE INTERIOR LIGHT AND THE DOOR AJAR TO STAY ON EVEN WITH THE DOORS CLOSED. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND HAPPENS EVERY DAY FORWARD SAYS IT IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY YET THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS HAPPENING IN THE CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED FOR THIS DAMAGE
DOOR IS NOT REGISTERING THAT IT IS CLOSED. INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON AND DRAIN BATTERY. THE DRIVER AJAR SWITCH NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, AN AIRY HISSING NOISE WAS PRESENT AND THE BRAKE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOORBOARD. ON ONE OCCASION, THE ENGINE STALLED AND A MESSAGE DISPLAYED, INDICATING THAT NOT ENOUGH AIR HAD ENTERED THE ENGINE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,600. *TT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *JS
THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR WILL CLOSE, BUT THINKS IT IS NOT CLOSED - SO THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AND DOORS WILL NOT LOCK. DRIVING AROUND IN MEMPHIS, TN WITH YOUR DOORS UNLOCKED IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD - AM IN GRAVE DANGER OF BEING CARJACKED AT A STOP LIGHT. IT WILL NOT CLOSE TO LOCK IT AT WORK OR IN MY DRIVEWAY - AND RUNS DOWN THE BATTERY. OPENING AND CLOSING IT SOMETIMES 50 TIMES (USUALLY WITHOUT SUCCESS) IS ANNOYING AND PAINFUL. I KNOW MY NEIGHBORS HATE ME MAKING SO MUCH NOISE TRYING TO CLOSE MY DOOR (THAT SEEMS TO REALLY BE CLOSED, BUT SOME SENSOR DOESN'T THINK SO). THERE ARE TONS OF COMMENTS ACROSS THE INTERNET WITH THIS PROBLEM. WHY HAS IT NOT BEEN RECALLED? AND IF IT REALLY ISN'T CLOSING, THEN WE HAVE A WHOLE NEW ISSUE!
DRIVER DOOR SENSOR STAYS LIGHT SAYING DOOR IS AJAR.
POWER TRANSFER CASE (PTU) ON AWD NOT FUNCTIONING. VEHICLE MAKING EXCESSIVE ROAD NOISE, LOW RUMBLES AS ACCELERATING THROUGH 20-25 MPH FROM STOP, GRINDING NOISES AND HESITATIONS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. MILEAGE AROUND 79000. AGE OF VEHICLE WILL BE 5 YEARS OLD IN MARCH 2018. ROAD NOISE BEGAN ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO, BUT ORIGINALLY ATTRIBUTED TO NEW TIRE NOISE. HAS INCREASED IN VOLUME SINCE. RUMBLING NOISES BEGAN LAST MONTH SPORADICALLY. GRINDING AND HESITATIONS BEGAN LAST WEEK.
DOOR ADJAR WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED.
WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT REMAINS ON AFTER DOOR IS CLOSED. INSIDE LIGHTS STAY ON AND RUN THE BATTERY DOWN.
WHEN COMING TO A STOP LIGHT MY BREAKS BECAME SPONGY AND HISSING WHEN PRESSED AND IS HARD TO PUSH DOWN AS IF I HAD NO BREAKS AT ALL AND AIR WAS COMING OUT OF THEM. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS. I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR BUT LUCKILY I WAS GOING THE SPEED LIMIT AND WAS AWAY FROM ANY OTHER CARS. MY KIDS WERE IN THE CAR WITH ME SO IT ADDED A LITTLE ANXIETY FOR ME. THIS HAPPENS NOW ALL THE TIME. I CALLED THE FORD DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT SOUNDED LIKE THE BREAK BOOSTER THEY ASKED FOR MY VIN SINCE THE 2013'S HAVE BEEN RECALLED. HE CHECKED IT AND SAID YES YOURS WAS RECALLED SO WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT. I DROPPED IT OFF THEN AN HOUR LATER THEY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID I AM SORRY BUT THEY HAVE NOT RECALLED THE FORD EDGE WITH MY VIN AS OF YET JUST THE VINS BEFORE MINE AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED AND TO COME PICK IT UP WHICH I DID SINCE THAT DIDN'T SEEM OK TO ME? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN ITS THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS IS UNSAFE AND DEFINITELY A BIG PROBLEM THE FORD DEALERSHIPS ARE SEEING. THE FORD MANUFACTURE KNOWS OF THIS ISSUE SO I AM NOT SURE WHY THEY ARE NOT TAKING OWNERSHIP AND FIXING ALL THE CARS.
WHILE DRIVING WE LOST ALL POWER AND THE WRENCH ICON WITH "SEE MANUAL" APPEARED ON THE DASH. THE WRENCH ICON IS A POWERTRAIN FAULT ALERT. IT'S OBVIOUSLY DANGEROUS TO LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND BE STUCK IN TRAFFIC AND WITH OUR CHILDREN IN THE CAR IT'S A LITTLE MORE NERVE-RACKING. PRESSING THE GAS DOES NOTHING TO THE RPMS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE ENGINE WAS IDLING ROUGH AND SPUTTERING. (PLENTY OF GAS IN THE CAR). CAR HAS BEEN TOWED TO THE DEALER. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR FOR THE TOW TRUCK, THE ALERT WAS GONE AND THE CAR WAS ABLE TO DRIVE. VERY STRANGE AND THE CAR CAN'T BE TRUSTED RIGHT NOW.
STEPPING ON THE GAS WILL NOT SHIP TO HIGHER GEAR - SEEMS STUCK IN 1 OR SECOND GEAR IS THIS A SHAFT LINKAGE ISSUE? - I SEE A RECALL.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated while reversing, the rearview camera display displayed an upside-down image. The contact stated that the vehicle then returned to normal functionality; however, the failure had become a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 50,000.
DOOR LATCH ACTUATOR NOT WORKING. SHOWS DOOR AJAR, DOORS WILL NOT LOCK AND INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON. DEFECTIVE DOOR LATCH
THE DOOR AJAR WARNING STAYS ON WITH THE DOOR CLOSED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR SENSOR ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that when she placed the vehicle in reverse(R) and reversing at approximately 2 MPH, the Back Over Prevention camera image was distorted. The failure had become constant. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched the failure online and related the failure NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) and was aware that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
THE BRAKES WERE IN THE BEGINNING VERY HARD TO PRESS DOWN AND THEN AFTER PUSHING THEY WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITH A HISSING SOUND. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND SCARY TO DRIVE AS I DIDN'T KNOW IF THEY WERE GIVING OUT. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE IT TURNS OUT THIS IS AND WAS A PROBLEM FORD KNEW ABOUT- THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS BAD. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR SOME VEHICLES, BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT ALL OF THEM, BECAUSE MINE DID NOT FALL UNDER THE RECALL AND I HAD TO PAY $757 TO GET THIS REPAIRED.

TAKATA RECALL. THE PTU HAS GONE BAD AT 80,000 MILES. ALSO WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT WHERE THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED AND THEY DID NOT
CAR SHAKING AND NO ACCELERATING WHEN GAS PEDAL ENGAGED. UNABLE TO MOVE FORWARD. VERY DANGEROUS ON THE ROAD SO I PULLED OFF. PROBLEM REPEATED THREE TIMES WITH 24 HOURS. FORD REPAIR SAID IT HAS A BAD ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY.

The rearview camera has not been working correctly for now over 8 years or more. The rearview camera issue causes a blank or distorted image on the center display. It is now displaying the image upside down as well. There are currently other Ford vehicle vehicles that are being recalled for this issue. I wanna know why our vehicle is not included in this. It is a 2013 Ford edge which I have talked to other people that own the same year have the same issues. This is very upsetting because this is an issue with other vehicles that are not included in those recalls.
ELECTICAL FAULT ON SENSORS OF THE VEHICLE DOORS MODULE ..VERY UNSAFE,VERY DANGEROUS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE DOORS SENSORS OF THE CAR LIT UP WARNING SIGNS AND UNLOCK ALL DOORS ,CHILDERN WHERE IN THE BACK OF THE CAR WITH THEIR SEAT BELTS ON THEM . IT ALL HAPPEN SUDDENLY VERY SCARY, ALL DOORS AUTOMATIC UNLOCK AND IT WAS A MOMENT THAT SCARE US ALL IN THE CAR ,PLEASE HELP US .
CAR MILEAGE 84,000. 90% CITY DRIVING 10% MOUNTAIN 1. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY AND PREPARING TO LEAVE FOR WORK. OPENED REAR DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR, PUT ITEMS INSIDE AND CLOSED DOOR. ENTERED DRIVERS SIDE, TURNED KEY ON TO START CAR. RECEIVED RED WARNING ON DASH THAT LET PASSENGER DOOR WAS AJAR. OPENED AND SHUT DOOR AGAIN SAME WARNING. TRIED THIS 7 TIMES. INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD NOT DIM WITH DOOR AJAR WARNING, EVEN WITH DOORS CLOSED. AFTER SEVENTH TIME WARNING SUBSIDED.AND INTERIOR LIGHTS DIMMED OUT. 2. THE FOLLOWING DAY THE WIFE STOPPED FOR GAS. SHE FILLED THE CAR, THEN GOT BACK INSIDE AND STARTED THE CAR. SHE RECEIVED THE LEFT PASSENGER DOOR AJAR WARNING, EVEN THOUGH SHE HAD NOT OPENED THAT DOOR EITHER LEAVING HOME OR AT THE GAS STATION. SHE GOT OUT SHUT THE DOOR. THE WARNING SUBSIDED AND SHE WENT ON HER WAY. 3. WE'VE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME PROBLEM THE LAST THREE DAYS, AS ITEM 1 ABOVE, PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY, PARKED AT THE STORE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO C WIMBERLEY FORD (56081 M 51 S, DOWAGIAC, MI 49047) WHERE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,743.
THE "DOOR AJAR" MESSAGE CONTINUES TO COME ON AND STAY ON; EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR HAS BEEN CLOSED CORRECTLY. THIS IS THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. THIS OCCURS CONSTANTLY. IT CONTINUES TO MAKE RINGING SOUNDS WHICH ARE DISRUPTIVE WHILE DRIVING. IT OCCURS WHEN PARKED, OR DRIVING.
DRIVER DOOR ADJAR WHEN SHUTTING THE DOOR THE INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON AND DOORS WILL NOT LOCK THIS HAPPEN'S EVERY TIME I SHUT MY DRIVER DOOR IT'S A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN YOUR LOCKS DON'T LOCK AND YOU INTERIOR LIGHTS STAYS ON
MY 2013 FORD EDGE WITH 48,000 MILES HAS A VERY ANNOYING DRIVER DOOR AJAR ERROR MESSAGE. THIS MESSAGE WILL NOT GO AWAY WHEN IT'S VERY OBVIOUS MY DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS CLOSED. MY INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON AT NIGHT TIME FOR UNSPECIFIED AMOUNTS OF TIME MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. THIS ISSUE ALSO IS DRAINING MY BATTERY AS THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AFTER CLOSING AND ARMING THE ALARM. FORD IS CHARGING 125 DOLALRS JUST TO LOOK AT THE ISSUE THEN ANOTHER 400-500 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE PARTS WITH THE SAME REPORTED DEFECTIVE PARTS. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS ON FORD'S PART. I WILL NEVER EVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD VEHICLE AGAIN.
WARNING LIGHT SHOWS DRIVER DOOR OPEN WHEN THE DOOR IS REALLY CLOSED. THE DOME LIGHT WILL STAY ON AND THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WHILE IN GEAR. THIS WILL DRAIN THE BATTERY AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK.

THE DOOR THINKS IT IS OPEN AND MY GREATEST CONCERN IS THE AUTOMATIC LOCKING MECHANISM DOES NOT WORK ON OUR CAR, HAMPERING THE SAFETY OF MY GRANDCHILDREN RIDING IN THE BACK SEAT. PLEASE CLARIFY HOW THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE. ARTICLE: THE INVESTIGATION OPENED LAST SEPTEMBER LOOKED INTO COMPLAINTS THAT THE DOOR AJAR WAS ALWAYS ILLUMINATED, MAKING IT HARD TO OCCUPANTS TO TELL IF THE DOORS WERE PROPERLY LATCHED. ACCORDING TO A INVESTIGATION SUMMARY, THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION IDENTIFIED 1,983 COMPLAINTS FOR 2011-13 MODEL YEAR EDGE VEHICLES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A NOISE COMING FROM THE HALF SHAFT AND LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE HALF SHAFT SEPARATED FROM THE LINK SHAFT, CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO LOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DEALER WERE NOT CONTACTED IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
WHILE APPROACHING STOP LIGHT, BRAKES WERE EXTREMELY STIFF. WOULD NOT STOP. EXCESSIVE PRESSURE WAS NECESSARY TO STOP THE VEHICLE, AT WHICH TIME THE FRONT BRAKES LOCKED UP. INDEPENDENT AUTO SHOP INDICATED BACK BRAKES ARE NOT ENGAGING AND DO NOT WORK. FULL BRAKE JOB WAS COMPLETED AND WORKED FOR 3 WEEKS BEFORE REPEAT OF SAME PROBLEM. FAILURE MILEAGE 1ST TIME 51,000; 2ND TIME AT 51,500.
THE DOOR LATCHES USED ON THE 2013 EDGE (AND OTHER MODELS) CONTAINS THE SENSOR THAT DETECTS THE DOOR BEING CLOSED. IN MY INSTANCE, THE ISSUE IS WITH THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. WHEN THE SWITCH DOES NOT DETECT THAT THE DOOR IS CLOSED, THE DOME LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF UNTIL THE VEHICLE ACHIEVES A CERTAIN SPEED AND THE DOORS CANNOT BE LOCKED WHILE THE CAR IS STARTED. AT NIGHT, THE DOME LIGHTS STAYING ON HINDERS VISION AND POSES POSSIBLE INJURY AND DAMAGE TO ANY PEDESTRIANS OR OBJECTS THAT MAY BE IN THE WAY OF THE CAR WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE ALMOST HIT A TREE LEAVING MY DRIVEWAY SINCE I COULD NOT EVEN SEE THE DRIVEWAY. I FEAR HITTING PEDESTRIANS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD WHILE ON THE WAY TO WORK, SINCE I LEAVE BEFORE SUNRISE. AS FOR THE DOORS NOT LOCKING WHILE THE CAR IS STARTED, THIS COULD POSE A SAFETY ISSUE TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE ALLOWING FOR ACCESS TO BE EASILY OBTAINED TO THE INTERIOR IN THE INSTANCE OF CARJACKING, ETC.
MY WIFE COMPLAINED OF THE SMELL OF ROTTEN EGGS AND A SEVERE HEADACHE WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CLIMATE CONTROL ON, WHEN SHE SHUT IT OFF AND OPENED THE WINDOWS IT DISSIPATED. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO OUR LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP AND AFTER THEY LOOKED AT IT THEY CLAIMED WE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A $2000+ REPAIR RELATED TO FORD SERVICE BULLETIN TSB 14-0201 (EXHAUST SULFUR ODOR AFTER HARD ACCELERATION - CLIMATE CONTROL IN RECIRCULATION MODE ONLY). THE ABOVE IS A FALSE STATEMENT SINCE IT OCCURS IN ANY, CLIMATE CONTROL, MODE. THIS BULLETIN COVERS HOW TO REMOVE THE EXHAUST AND CLEAN AREAS OF THE UNDERCARRIAGE WHERE SEAM SEALER AND EXPANDABLE FOAM IS TO BE APPLIED. THE DRIVES DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON. YOU DO NOT KNOW IF YOUR DOOR IS CLOSED OR NOT. EVERYONE WITH THIS PROBLEM WILL EVENTUALLY IGNORE THIS LIGHT EVEN WHEN THERE DOOR MAY BE OPEN. IT IS OBVIUS THE SAFETY PROBLEMS THIS COULD CAUSE.

I HAVE BEEN HAVING NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LATCH ALWAYS READING THAT THE DOOR IS AJAR. THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF FORCE SHUTTING THE DOOR THAT MAKES IT GO AWAY. I AM AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON WITH SEVERAL MODELS OF FORD VEHICLES. I CONSIDER THIS A HAZARD FOR SEVERAL REASONS. THE DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGE.FOR THE ENTIRE VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE DOORS TO OPEN IF THERE WERE ANY TYPE OF IMPACT. THERE IS ALSO THE RANDOM LOCKING AND UNLOCKING THAT OCCURS WHICH MAKES MY VEHICLE IMPOSSIBLE TO SECURE. I WANT TO FILE THIS COMPLAINT IN HOPES THAT FORD WILL CORRECT THIS PROBLEM FROM THEIR END AND NOT CHARGE THE CONSUMER A MINIMUM OF 500 DOLLARS PER LATCH FOR A FIX THAT HAS NOT BEEN GUARANTEED.
FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS NOW SOMETIMES WHEN I PARK AND PUT THE GEAR IN PARK THE WARNING LIGHT STATING "SHIFT TO PARK" WILL COME ON EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE IS IN PARK AND OFF. UP UNTIL ABOUT A MONTH OR SO AGO I WOULD PUSH THE GEAR FORWARD AND THE WARNING WOULD GO OFF BUT NOW I HAVE TO PLAY AROUND WITH IT (BACK AND FORTH) AND REALLY FORCE THE GEAR FORWARD BEFORE THE WARNING WILL GO AWAY.
BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE. HEARD A HISSING NOISE WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED. FOUND A 'EXTENDED WARRANTY' FOR THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. MY VEHICLE FALLS 2 MONTHS PAST THE CUT OFF. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MAJOR MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT SHOULD INCLUDE ALL VEHICLES.
THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF. I HAVE TO SLAMMED MY DOOR SEVERAL TIMES IN ORDER FOR THE LIGHT TO GO OFF. NOW THE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF AND IM UNABLE TO LOCK MY DOOR. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 2 TIMES BECAUSE IT DRAINS THE POWER. MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR EVEN OPENED AS I WAS MAKING A TURN. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. THIS MATTER SHOULD BE LOOKED AT VERY CLOSELY AND SWIFTLY AND FOR THOSE WHO HAD TO PAY $400 - $450 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED SHOULD BE REIMBURSED BY FORD FOR SAFETY ISSUES.
