BRAKES BEGAN GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE STOPPING VEHICLE. HAD THE MAIN MASTER CYLINDER REPLACED TO THE TUNE OF $307.63, BUT THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN SOLVED. WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL? MANY OTHERS ARE OBVIOUSLY HAVING THIS PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 151,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY POWER STEERING QUIT DUE TO A SENSOR ERROR.. AFTER I DROVE TO SHOPPING CENTER AND PARKED I GOT A POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT ERROR, I TRIED STARTING IT UP AGAIN I HAVE NO POWER STEERING. I HAVE TRIED SHUTTING DOWN AND STARTING CAR BACK UP AND STILL NOW POWER STEERING.. I HAVE READ UP ON THIS AND SEEN THERE ARE RECALLS FOR MY YEAR AND MAKE AND MODEL OF CAR, BUT MY VIN DOES NOT SHOW THERE IS ONE. WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED AS OF NOW I AM NOT DRIVING MY CAR. *TR
MY 88 YEAR OLD MOTHER DRIVES THIS STEERING WENT OUT AS SHE WAS DRIVING IT DOES THIS WHEN IT WANTS TO. FORD CHARGED US $123 TO TELL US ITS THE STEERING COLUMN SENSOR AND WANTS $1,500 TO FIX SHE DOESN'T HAVE. SEEMS THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM FORD DOESN'T WANT TO FIX. 40,000 MILE VECH THAT HAD EVER SERVICE DONE AT FORD AND ITS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE NOW.
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND A WARNING CAME ACROSS MY DASHBOARD THAT SAID.. POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. I PULLED OVER AND SHUT MY CAR OFF TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. WHEN I TURNED MY CAR BACK ON, MY POWER STEERING WAS GONE. I HAD MY VEHICLE IN THE DEALERSHIP IN 2014 FOR A WARRANTY ON MY SWAY BAR AND THE DEALERSHIP SAW THERE WAS A RECALL NOTICE SO THEY PLUGGED MY CAR INTO THE COMPUTER AND HAD NO CODES OR ANYTHING SO THEY REPROGRAMMED IT. NOW I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE POWER STEERING AND CODE B2278 IS COMING UP AND NEITHER THE DEALERSHIP NOR THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. THEY TOLD ME THAT I DIDN'T HAVE AN ISSUE WITH IT BACK IN 2014 SO THE RECALL WAS CLOSED AND NOW THAT I AM HAVING THE ISSUE, THEY CAN NOT FIX IT OR TAKE CARE OF IT. THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY TOLD ME IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM BECAUSE THE RECALL WAS CLOSED DUE TO ME NOT HAVING AN ISSUE WITH IT 2 YEARS AGO. I HAD TO DRIVE MY CAR HOME WHICH IS ABOUT 20 MILES WITH NO POWER STEERING WHAT SO EVER. *TR
POWER/ELECTRIC STEERING WENT OUT WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHICH ORIGINALLY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL, THEN THERE WAS NOT A RECALL FOR MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE BECAUSE IT CAME FROM A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURING LOCATION, LATER, THE FORD TECH SAID THAT THERE WAS, IN FACT, A RECALL ON MY CAR, BUT THE WINDOW FOR THE RECALL WAS OVER TWO YEARS AGO. *TR
PURCHASED USED 2009 ESCAPE IN APRIL 2016. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND GAS LEAKS OVER TIRE WELL WHEN THE TANK IS FILLED ALL THE WAY. TOOK IT IN AND UPON SMOKE TEST DEALERSHIP STATED THE TOP OF THE TANK IS RUSTED WITH PINHOLES. TRYING TO CHARGE ME $1600 TO REPAIR WITH THE FILLER PIECE. NOT DISCLAIMED UPON PURCHASE. CAR WAS INSPECTED PRIOR TO PURCHASE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO A GUARDRAIL. THE POWER STEERING ASSIST INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 168,000.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MOSES FORD LINCOLN (2001 MACCORKLE AVE, SAINT ALBANS, WV 25177, (304) 945-0127) FOR MAINTENANCE AND THEY PERFORMED THE FIRST PART OF A THREE PART RECALL REPAIR UPDATING THE SOFTWARE. THE MANUFACTURER CLOSED OUT THE RECALL, ASSUMING THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE COMPLETE. THE CONTACT MOVED AND TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PADUCAH FORD (3476 PARK AVE, PADUCAH, KY 42001, (270) 444-0011) WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THE RECALL HAD BEEN CANCELED OUT. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND EXPLAINED THE ISSUE; HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIR AT NO COST. THE CONTACT SUSPECTED THAT THE FIRST PART THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NEVER COMPLETED. THE MANUFACTURER QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF OVER $2,100. THE VEHICLE REMAINED UNREPAIRED AND THE CONTACT WAS TO CHECK TO SEE IF AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC COULD PERFORM THE REPAIRS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. *PM *TP
INTENDED TO PARK CAR IN FRONT OF GARAGE. VEHICLE SUDDENLY SPED UP UNCONTROLLABLY,DRIVER APPLIED BAKES AND TURNED SHARPLY YET THE VEHICLE HIT THE GARAGE STRUCTURE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE HOUSE.
THROTTLE BODY FAILED, RPM UP AND DOWN. LOST POWER WHEN DRIVING. REPALCED A NEW ONE FROM DEALERSHIP AND IT DOES NOT LAST FOR ONE YEAR. CAR ONLY 99000 MILES RIGHT NOW. NEW THROTTLE BODY LASTS 1290 MILES AND FAILED.
THIS HAPPENS IN ALL CONDITIONS. ENGINE WILL LOSE POWER AND START STUTTERING LIKE IT IS MISSING. EXHAUST WILL STINK AND DARKEN ENOUGH SO THAT IT IS VISIBLE. ACCELERATOR WILL NOT WORK AS NORMAL. VEHICLE WILL EVENTUALLY STALL AS SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON. FUEL PUMP REPLACED TWICE IN 2 DAYS. MECHANICS FIND NO CODES STORED. THROTTLE BODY REPLACED UNDER FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM. IT REOCCURRED THE NEXT DAY. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED. THE VEHICLE WILL SLOW AND STALL SUDDENLY AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE.

AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING) BY ANTELOPE VALLEY FORD (1155 AUTO MALL DR, LANCASTER, CA 93534, (888) 415-0959), THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
WHILE DRIVING AROUND 40 MILES PER HOUR ON OUR WAY TO DINNER, THE CAR LOST ALL POWER. WE PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL HAD NO EFFECT WHATSOEVER (STEERING AND THE BRAKES WORKED). WE TURNED THE CAR OFF, WAITED A MINUTE, THEN TURNED THE CAR BACK ON. IT RESTARTED WITH SOME DIFFICULTY, BUT THEN WE WERE ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 30-40 MILES PER HOUR, THE SAME EVENT HAPPENED 3 MORE TIMES ON THE WAY TO DINNER. THE SAME ISSUE OCCURRED 2 MORE TIMES AS WE DROVE HOME FROM DINNER. THIS WAS THE FIRST DAY WE EXPERIENCED A PROBLEM, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS SEVERE AND WE WERE DRIVING DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I CONSIDERED THE CAR EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE THE NEXT DAY. FORD CONFIRMED THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED REPLACING.
WHILE DRIVING ON A PUBLIC ROAD AT AROUND 35MPH MY 2009 FORD ESCAPE LOST POWER STEERING. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME UP. WAS ABLE TO GET INTO A PARKING LOT. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TURNING VEHICLE ON AND OFF BUT STEERING ONLY CAME ON ONCE THEN QUIT AGAIN. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME IN MANUAL STEERING AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO SUMMERVILLE FORD DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. WAS CONTACTED BY THE DEALER THAT THE STEERING MODULE IN STEERING COLUMN HAD FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR BOLTS AND HINGES FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. GAS TANK. LOTS OF CORROSION WHERE FILLER NECK CONNECTS TO THE GAS TANK. WHEN GAS TANK IS FULL GAS LEAKS FROM THE CORROSION POINT. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE WHEN I NOTICED A STRONG GAS ODOR. I MOVED THE VEHICLE TO THE DRIVEWAY AND NOTICED A WET SPOT ON THE GARAGE FLOOR THAT REEKED OF GAS. THE SPOT CORRESPONDS TO THE AREA BELOW THE GAS TANK FILLER. I'M CONCERNED THE LEAKING GAS IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD AND ALSO CONCERNED THE LEAKING GAS MAY IGNITE CAUSING A FIRE AND POSSIBLE EXPLOSION. HELP!!!
I WAS DRIVING IN A NEIGHBORHOOD AND AS I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, I SLOWLY STARTED TO BRAKE. AS I CAME CLOSER TO THE STOP SIGN, SUDDENLY THE BRAKE PEDAL FELT LIKE IT JUST "DROPPED OUT" AND I SLID THROUGH THE STOP SIGN AND HAD TO SLAM MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND THANKFULLY WAS ABLE TO STOP, BUT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AT THIS POINT. THIS WAS VERY SCARY AND I AM THANKFUL THAT THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS AROUND THAT I COULD HAVE BEEN HIT OR INJURED. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE CAR AND THEN BACK ON. STARTED DRIVING AGAIN AND TESTED THE BRAKES, WHICH BARELY WORKED NOW. I HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO EVEN START SLOWING DOWN. I TOOK IT TO MY FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY CHARGED ME $99 JUST TO RUN THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MY HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT FOR THE ABS SYSTEM THAT IS BAD AND IT WOULD COST AN ADDITIONAL $2,100 TO REPLACE IT. THEY WOULD HAVE TO ORDER THE PART, BUT WOULDN'T GET THERE FOR 3 DAYS, MEANING I WOULD HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE LIKE THIS FOR ANOTHER FEW DAYS BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET TO WORK WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE PART DID NOT COME IN FOR 3 WEEKS, NOT DAYS AND I HAD TO DRIVE AROUND LIKE THIS. I HAVE BEEN DOING RESEARCH ON THIS TO SEE IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE, AND IT HAS. BE CAREFUL OF THIS, AS IT CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS AND I GOT LUCKY THAT I WAS NOT INJURED. I CALLED FORD TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL, WHICH THERE WASN'T (YET) AND THEY CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND STARTED A CASE FOR ME TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THAT COULD BE DONE TO HELP ME OUT FINANCIALLY. THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT HELP ME AT ALL SINCE I DID NOT PURCHASE MY CAR THERE. THE LADY ON THE PHONE FROM FORD WAS GREAT AND VERY HELPFUL. SHE TOLD ME TO HOLD ONTO MY RECEIPT B/C IF THERE EVER WAS A RECALL, (WHICH THERE SHOULD BE BECAUSE THESE ARE PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK DUE TO THIS FAILING PART) THEY WOULD REFUND 100% OF THE MONEY. *TR

WHILE DRIVING, THE POWER STEERING BECOMES INTERMITTENT AND EVENTUALLY FAILS COMPLETELY. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED ON THE ROAD AND ADVERSELY AFFECTS THE SAFETY AND FUNCTIONALITY OF THE VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPROGRAMMED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V2840000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,700.
POWER STEERING EPS ASSIST STEERING TORQUE SENSOR (PSCM) WENT OUT. NHTSA #14V284000. FORD RECALL 14S05. PURCHASED 12/14 AT BRANDON FORD (FL). NOT EVER INFORMED OF RECALL. ACTUALLY TEXTED THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW OF RECALL. CALLED FORD WHO PUT A CASE # ON IT. REVIEW DONE BY FORD BUT THEY SAID BRANDON FORD DID A TEST ON IT AND REPROGRAMMED THE SENSOR. FORD DENIED THE CLAIM STATING IT HAD BEEN 12 MONTHS OR 12,000 MILES SINCE PURCHASE. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 18,800 MILES AT PURCHASE AND HAS APPROXIMATELY JUST OVER 32,000 MILES NOW. ON FORDS SERVICE PHONE LINE WHERE ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO THE SPECIFIC RECALL THERE IS NO MENTION OF NOT HONORING THE FULL REPLACEMENT OF PARTS AND LABOR DEPENDENT ON IF IT IS UNDER 12 MONTHS OR 12,000 MILES. NEITHER DOES IT STATE THAT IN THE ONLINE RECALL INFO. THE COST FOR THIS REPAIR WE HAVE BEEN TOLD IS SOME $1300. THE CAR IS SITTING AT AUTONATION FORD IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA RIGHT NOW. THE SERVICE MANAGER AND THE ASSISTANT TO THE GENERAL MANAGER AT BRANDON FORD ARE NOT RETURNING CALLS AND VOICEMESSAGES. THIS HAS BEEN A FIASCO WITH FORD. MY DAUGHTER OR ANYONE ELSE COULD BE SERIOUSLY INJURED OR WORSE AND IT STATES SUCH ESPECIALLY AT LOW SPEEDS ON THE FORD RECALL RECORDING LINE MESSAGE YET NOTHING IS BEING HONORED OR DONE. LUCKILY SHE WAS STATIONARY IN A DRIVEWAY AND THE CAR WAS IN PARK WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED INSTEAD OF ON A STREET, HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE.
FORD ESACAPE THROTTLE BODY I OWN A 2009 FORD ESCAPE AND WAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR THROTTLE BODY. I TOOK MY CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. 10 MONTHS LATER MY CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THROTTLE BODY. IT SLOWS DOWN TO A CRAWL AT A MOMENTS NOTICE. I AM A CATH LAB TECH FOR A LOCAL HOSPITAL AND WAS CALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. WHILE DRIVING TO HOSPITAL MY WRENCH AND ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON SUDDENLY AND MY CAR SLOWED DOWN TO A CRAWL. I KEPT MY FOOT ON GAS BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET TO HOSPITAL. I AM ON A HEART TEAM AND IT IS CRITICAL. THANKFULLY IT WAS MIDNIGHT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS ON THE ROAD. BUT IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED DURING THE DAY WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR. I FELT CONFIDENT THAT MY CAR WAS REPAIRED WITH RECALL BUT NOW 10 MONTHS LATER IT HAPPENS AGAIN. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND FORD SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THEY WILL NOT WARRANTY. I HAVE GONE OVER THE MILEAGE AMOUNT FOR THEM TO WARRANTY. BUT WHAT THEY FAIL TO ACKNOWLEDGE IS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE THROTTLE BODY COMPONENT FOR ESCAPE. THERE IS NO REASON TO JUSTIFY WHY THIS WOULD RECUR LESS THAN A YEAR LATER. I JUST KNOW I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. AND FEEL AS A COMPANY THEY SHOULD ADDRESS THIS MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.
P2111 ERROR THROTTLE ACTUATER STUCK OPEN
STARTED CAR, WENT TO BACK OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND THERE WAS NO STEERING. PULLED BACK INTO SPACE AND TURNED CAR OFF, POPPED HOOD TO SEE IF I COULD SEE ANYTHING WRONG. WAITED A FEW MINUTES, STARTED CAR AGAIN, STEERING WAS FINE. NOTICE I DID NOT GET HOOD DOWN ALL THE WAY, SO I PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF CAR, AND SECURED HOOD. WHEN I GOT BACK IN THE CAR, LOST STEERING AGAIN. TURNED OFF CAR, STEERING WORKED AGAIN. MADE IT HOME. WAITED A FEW MINUTES AFTER TURNING CAR OFF, AND RESTARTED IT. AGAIN NO STEERING. TOOK BRUTE FORCE TO TURN WHEEL. AT NO TIME DID A WARNING LIGHT COME ON INDICATING ANY TROUBLE.

STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AT A HIGHWAY INTERSECTION WITH AN INTERSTATE OFF RAMP ON JULY 26, 2016. NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE HAD STOPPED/SHUTOFF ON ITS OWN. SEEMS TO BE RELATED TO OTHER COMPLAINTS ON INTERNET RE THROTTLE BODY OR CAM OR CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSORS.

APPLE VALLEY FORD HAS DONE THEIR BEST TO WORK WITH ME. HOWEVER, FORDS'S EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE THROTTLE SENSER IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. IT REQUIRES AN EXTREMELY LONG WAIT FOR APPROVED DIAGNOSTICS, WHICH IS KNOWN TO CLEAR OUT OF MEMORY WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF. USUALLY ENDING IN A NO. I HAVE BEEN IN NEAR DEATH SITUATIONS BECAUSE OF IT OVER TEN TIMES. TODAY ALONE, THE WRENCH AND FIX ENGINE SOON LIGHTS WERE ON. I PULL OUT OF MY NEIGHBOR ONTO A HIGHWAY TO STALL HORIZONTAL ACROSS BOTH LANES!!!! AND MORE LIFE THREATENING EVENTS AS I CANCEL TODAY'S EVENTS AND DRIVE DIRECTLY TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN! I PLAN TO POST ALL MY LIFE THREATENING EVENTS OF TODAY ON FACEBOOK. SHOULD I BE KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS, MY LOVED ONES CAN SUE FORD AND THEY MIGHT THEN "COMPREHEND" THE SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE AND THE FACT THEY WON'T BACK IT UP! TAKATA RECALL WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 60 MPH, MY 09 FORD ESCAPE COMPLETELY SLOWED DOWN ON ME. I PUSHED ON THE GAS TO MAKE THE CAR SPEED BACK UP BUT WAS UNABLE TO. I WENT FROM 60 TO 30 MPH IN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME. I WAS LUCKILY COMING UP TO A SPEED ZONE OF 45 MPH, BUT I COASTED UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO TURN OFF THE HIGHWAY. I CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND MY RPM CONTINUED GOING UP AND DOWN. I EVENTUALLY TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND LET IT SIT FOR A MINUTE. I THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AND DROVE UNDER 45 MPH THE REST OF THE WAY HOME. IT WAS VERY SCARY AS I HAD MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR.
THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. IT DID NOT WORK FOR OVER 2 HOURS. AFTER STOPPING AND TURNING OFF THE CAR FOR 5 MIN., THE POWER STEERING BEGAN WORKING AGAIN.
ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY IS MALFUNCTIONING CAUSING VEHICLE TO NOT SHIFT PROPERLY AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY OUT OF THE BLUE AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF THE LIGHT GOES OUT AND COMES BACK ON WHILE DRIVING SOMETIMES SAME DAY, SOMETIMES A COUPLE DAYS LATER. UNLESS THE LIGHT IS ON THE CODE CANNOT BE OBTAINED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THE RECALL REPAIR HAD BEEN COMPLETED THE YEAR BEFORE. WRENCH LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND VEHICLE WENT INTO "LIMP MODE", AND COULD NOT MAINTAIN SPEED ABOVE 20 MPH. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS AND WAS VERY CONCERNING. I DROVE HOME IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE, WITH HAZARDS ON, ALONG BACK ROADS TO AVOID INTERSTATE SPEEDS. CAR ACTUALLY DROPPED TO LESS THAN 10 MPH WHILE DRIVING UP HILL. TOOK IT TO MY DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY WAS BAD. THEY SAID THAT FORD WOULD NOT COVER THE COSTS, ESTIMATED AT $400.
WHILE MOVING LOSE BRAKES, BRAKES GO TO FLOOR. CHANGED BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER AND IT IS STILL DOING IT.
NO WARNING THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG. WAS TOLD IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER AND COULD HAVE CAUSED LIFE THREATENING INJURY OF POSSIBLY DEATH. THE CAR WAS PARKED ON FRIDAY, SAT OVER THE WEEKEND AND WHEN I WENT IN TO START IT ON MONDAY AND DRIVE IT TO WORK THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO MOVE AND THE TIRES STAYED STATIONARY. TOWED IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE STEERING COLUMN BROKE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND IT WASN'T UNDER WARRANTY ANYMORE AND THE RECALL THAT IS OUT THERE WAS NOT APPLICABLE FOR THIS SPECIFIC PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING COLUMN. THEY DEALER SAID IT WOULD COST APPROX $1,400.00 TO REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN. IT WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT AND WAS NEVER PART OF THEFT. IT IS 9 YEARS OLD, NEVER TOWED ANYTHING AND NOT DRIVEN HARD.
