TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING A ROUTINE INSPECTION BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, CORROSION WAS FOUND ALL AROUND THE VEHICLE. BROADWAY AUTO (1010 S MILITARY AVENUE, GREEN BAY, WI 54304, (855) 395-2127)SCHEDULED A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 3,092. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED WHEN A CAR WASH CHAIN BROKE. THE CAR WASH'S DOOR DROPPED ON THE VEHICLE AND THE CHAIN WRAPPED AROUND THE VEHICLE CAUSING SEVERE DAMAGE. WHILE AWAITING THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO RUST DUE TO WATER DAMAGE FROM THE CAR WASH. *JS *DT
AFTER A HARD ACCELERATION, SULFUR SMELL TAKES OVER THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. I'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE PERFORMED THE RECALL ON THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE SMELL IS STILL IN MY VEHICLE. I'VE CALLED THE FORD LINE ALSO. NO HELP FROM THEM. THEY TOLD ME TO DEAL WITH THE DEALERSHIP.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, I HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND, ENGINE BEGAN TO SMOKE. HAD VEHICLE TOWED IN TO LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP WHICH INDICATED BAD CELL IN MANUFACTURERS BATTERY CAUSING IT TO BLOW AND SPRAY BATTERY ACID ALL OVER ENGINE COMPONENTS AT 26,127 MILES. DEALERSHIP DID NOT FOLLOW PROPER PROCEDURE WHEN REPLACING BATTERY AND LEFT ACID ON ENGINE AND COMPONENTS. BATTERY ACID HAD EATEN THROUGH BRAKE SYSTEM COMPONENTS, WIRING AND CAUSED SEVERE CORROSION UNDER HOOD. BY NOT ADDRESSING THE SAFETY CONCERN WHEN CONFRONTED AND DURING MULTIPLE VISITS AND PHONE E CALLS, BRAKE SYSTEM ABS FAILED CAUSING A FRONT END COLLISION BY SLAMMING INTO ANOTHER CAR IN THE INTERSTATE RESULTING FROM BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE.
I PURCHASED MY FORD EXPLORER 2017, IN SEPTEMBER OF 2016, I HAVE RETURNED BACK TO THE DEALER MORE THAN 10 TIMES LESS THAN A 2 YEAR PERIOD. MY FIRST PROBLEM WAS THE TRUCK WOULD NOT GET ENOUGH SPEED, UNLESS I HIT THE GAS 2 OIR 3 TIMES, THE DEALER CAME IT WASN'T A PROBLEM UNTIL THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND THAN I WAS TOLD IT WAS A RECALL ON IT, BUT WHEN I CHECK, THERE WAS NO RECALL ON MY VIN. I HAVE 5 BATTERIES SINCE I HAD THE TRUCK, I ASK THEM WHAT IS CAUSING THIS, I NEVER GET A RESPONSE. MY AC/HEAT WENT OUT, I TOLD THEM, I NOTICE SOMETHING COMING IN THROUGH THE VENTS. I INFORMED THE DEALER'S REPAIR DEPARTMENT THAT IT SMELLED LIKE A ROTTEN EGG OR JUST LOOK LIKE AIR COMING IN THE VENTS. I NEVER GOT AN ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION. I TRIED CALLING FORD CORPORATE OFFICE, BUT KNOW ONE NEVER RETURNED MY CALL.
EXHAUST LEAKING INTO CAB OF POLICE PACKAGE EXPLORER VEHICLE. SPRING OF 2018, SEALS OF MY EXPLORER WERE REPLACED. SEPT 2018, I FELT SICK, PULLED OVER AND PASSED OUT WHILE DRIVING EXPLORER. NEXT WEEK, DIFFERENT FORD DEALER LOCATED ADDITIONAL MISSED SEALS AND REPLACED ONES PREVIOUSLY REPLACED.
HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2 TIRE CHIPPING/PEELING AT 5000 MILES. FRONT TWO TIRES WORSE THAN REAR. ROTATED TIRES AND REPLACED THE TWO THAT WERE ON THE FRONT THROUGH THE DEALER. NOW THE THE TIRES HAVE FRONT TIRES HAVE 10,000 MILES AND ARE CHIPPING/PEELING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD EXPLORER. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, EXHAUST FUMES ENTERED THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PAUL MURREY FORD INC (LOCATED AT 1105 E MULBERRY ST, KAUFMAN, TX 75142, (972) 962-2151) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN ADJUSTMENT NEEDED TO BE MADE TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REPAIR FAILED TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE ISSUE WOULD BE ESCALATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE HAD NOT HEARD BACK FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD EXPLORER. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RYE FORD (1151 BOSTON POST RD, RYE, NY 10580, (914)-967-6300) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE WARRANTIES WERE EXPIRED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
MY FATHER IN LAW BECAME CONCERNED AFTER WE PURCHASED OUR NEW 2017 FORD EXPLORER BECAUSE SOMEONE HE KNOWS HAD SEVERE HEALTH ISSUES FROM CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING FROM HER FORD EXPLORER. HE URGED US TO PURCHASE A CO DETECTOR. I GOT ONLINE AND READ ABOUT SOME OF THE ISSUES WITH THE CAR AND DECIDED THIS WAS PROBABLY A GOOD IDEA. WE INSTALLED THE CO DETECTOR AND IT DID NOT TAKE LONG FOR IT TO START GOING OFF. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH OUR DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE "COURTESY SERVICE" THAT FORD RECOMMENDS FOR PEACE OF MIND. WE CONTINUED TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE DETECTOR GOING OFF FROM TIME TO TIME. MY WIFE ALSO COMPLAINS OF HEADACHES AND FATIQUE OFTEN, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR ANY DISTANCE. BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR ANOTHER SERVICE YESTERDAY AND THEY SAID THEY REPLACED A PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IN THE REAR, PASSENGER DOOR WHICH WAS STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION. TOOK THE CAR HOME, AND TWO HOURS LATER THE DETECTOR WENT OFF AGAIN. STILL NOT FIXED. I AM CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILIES SAFETY AND WOULD LIKE FORD TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM FOR GOOD. THANK YOU.

HAVE 28,000 MILES AND HAVE BEEN ROTATED AT EACH OIL CHANGE; HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING LOW AIR PRESSURE READINGS, EXTREME TREADWEAR AND 1EA TIRE FAILURE (SEPARATION (WHILE IN MOTION)). ...THIS IS ANOTHER DANGEROUS ISSUE SIMILAR TO THE FIRESTONE DISASTER. CAR WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY IN A MOSTLY-SHADED SPOT. 78 F DEGREE DAY. NO EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. FOUND REAR WINDOW HAD EXPLODED/SHATTERED. WINDOW BOWED OUTWARD AS IF PRESSURE CAME FROM INSIDE THE CAR OR FROM THE EDGES OF THE WINDOW. NO PRIOR DAMAGE OR ISSUES WITH REAR WINDOW PRIOR TO THIS. POLICE CAME TO SCENE AND DREW SAME CONCLUSION THAT WINDOW HAD EXPLODED/SHATTERED AND MUST BE RESULT OF A DEFECT. A HOLE WAS PRESENT AND THE ENTER WINDOW HAD SHATTER PATTERNS, INCLUDING ALL AROUND THE EDGES. THANKFULLY, WE WERE NOT DRIVING OR IN MOTION WHEN IT HAPPENED, OR IT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN INJURY TO PASSENGERS OR A CAR BEHIND ME.
I WAS LEAVING A PARKING LOT AT THE MALL WITH MY BABY GIRL. I STARTED THE CAR AND STARTED TO DRIVE OUT OF THE PARKING GARAGE WHEN I REALIZED MY ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS OFF. I COULDN'T SEE MY SPEED LIMIT, BLINKERS, FUEL GAUGE, ETC... NOTHING WAS ON. I PANICKED AND PULLED OVER AS SOON AS IT WAS POSSIBLE FOR ME TO DO SO. I SHUT THE ENGINE OFF, THEN STARTED IT BACK UP, AND STILL NOTHING IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I THEN SHUT OFF ENGINE AGAIN, EXITED THE VEHICLE, AND PROCEEDED TO LOCK THE CAR. AT THIS POINT I HEARD EVERYTHING SHUT OFF COMPLETELY AND SO I GOT BACK IN AND STARTED THE CAR AGAIN. IT WORKED OKAY AFTER THAT.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR STARTED SHAKING AND SOUNDING DIFFERENT. THE VIBRATIONS KEPT GETTING WORSE. THEN I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND MY SPEED WAS GOING DOWN. I COULDN'T GET MY SUV TO GET ANY SPEED AT ALL IT GOT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO ZERO MPH AND I HAD TO COAST TO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. THE LIGHT ON MY DASH SAID TERRAIN MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FAILURE. LUCKILY THERE WEREN'T ANY CARS BEHIND ME AS IT WAS AT NIGHT TIME. I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN AND TRIED TO RESTART THE COMPUTER WITH NO LUCK. THE OWNERS MANUAL SAYS TO RECYCLE THE KEY AND TRY AGAIN. MY CAR IS PUSH BUTTON START SO THAT WASN'T AN OPTION. I THEN LOOKED ON GOOGLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM AND SAW THERE WERE MULTIPLE ISSUES FROM MULTIPLE PEOPLE THAT HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER TODAY AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY HAD WENT BAD. MY SUV ONLY HAS 40,000 MILES ON IT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDOWS HAD TO BE ROLLED DOWN IN ORDER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PUENTE HILLS FORD (17340 GALES AVENUE, CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA 91748) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
HANKOOK TIRES (255/50R20 105H VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2) THAT CAME WITH THE VEHICLE ARE SHOWING UNUSUAL CRACKING AND CHIPPING. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 11,400 MILES AND IS DRIVEN ABOUT 5 MILES PER DAY AND MOSTLY IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. I TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE/TIRE ROTATION AND SERVICE TECHNICIAN WARNED ME THAT THE TIRES WERE WEARING AND CHIPPING. EACH TIRE HAS VISIBLE CHUNKS COMING OUT OF THE TREADS. I CALLED FORD AND HANKOOK TODAY AND REPORTED THIS PROBLEM, BUT I HAVE TO WAIT A FULL WEEK FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO GET THIS INSPECTED. OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE HAVE REPORTED SIMILAR PROBLEMS AND IT IS VERY CONCERNING THAT FORD/HANKOOK HASN'T TAKEN ACTION TO RECALL AND REPLACE THESE TIRES. FSA TITLE CARBON MONOXIDE CONCERNS #17N03 SMELL EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE OF VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS AND AT WARM UP, ROADSIDE STOP SIGNS, STOP LIGHTS AND BACK UP TRAFFIC IN CONSTRUCTION ZONES.
THREE DIFFERENT TIMES IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY SUDDEN ACCELERATION OCCURRED WHILE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED OR WHILE BEGINNING TO START CRUISE CONTROL AT AN ACCESSIVE RATE OF SPEED.
EXPLORER HAS LESS THAN 11000 MILES ON IT. SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR, UNDER MILD TO HEAVY ACCELERATION, SMELL OF ROTTEN EGGS FEELS THE CABIN. AFTER DRIVING FOR 20-30 MIN MY WIFE AND TWO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 START TO EXPERIENCE FATIGUE, HEADACHES AND NAUSEA. BE CONCERNED ABOUT CO2 POISONING I HAVE BOUGHT AN AFTER MARKET DETECTOR WHICH HAS NOT, ALARMED. THE SMELL HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN STRONGER AND STRONGER AS THE CAR INCREASES IN MILEAGE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 8/8/18 AND THEY WANT TO ASK ABOUT IN CABIN AIR FILTERS, LIKE THAT FILTERS OUT EXHAUST GAS. LAUGHABLE AT BEST. THEN AGAIN AS A FIREFIGHTER WILL TELL YOU IF YOU SMELL SMOKE THERE IS FIRE.
I HAVE A 2017 FORD EXPLORER WITH 5500 MILES AND NOTICED THE TIRES ARE HAVING UNEVEN WEAR THEY ARE HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2 IN 255/50/20 5MN1AH 1316 THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND THESE SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER THE FACTORY/ TIRE WARRANTY AS IT STATES FROM 1 MILE TO 12K MILES IT IS COVERED 100% IN THE MANUAL AND HANKOOK WANTS TO PRO RATE THE TIRES FOR A DEFECT THAT IS CAUSED MY THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS SHAME ON THEM
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD AND THE LEFT REAR TIRE RAPIDLY DEFLATED. INSTALLED THE FACTORY SPARE TIRE. NOTED A 2" LONG SLICE ACROSS THE TREAD OF THE TIRE. TOOK TO LOCAL MECHANIC FOR REPLACEMENT. MECHANIC DISCOVERED THAT THE TIRE WAS NOT PUNCTURED. THE TIRE FAILED. THE OTHER 3 TIRES WERE IN SIMILAR CONDITION. YOU COULD PICK PIECES OF RUBBER OUT OF THE TIRE WITH YOUR BARE HANDS. TIRES ARE 1 YEAR OLD AND HAD 20,000 MILES ON THEM. FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THEY WERE AWARE OF AN ISSUE WITH THE HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2 TIRES, SIZE: 255/50R20. THE DEALERSHIP OFFERED A $196 CREDIT PER TIRE FOR A TIRE OF MY CHOICE. I HAD TO PAY FOR LABOR. IT THE FAILED TIRE HAD BEEN ON THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND OPERATING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
FORD EXPLORER EXHAUST---- WE CONTINUE TO HAVE NAUSEA, DIZZINESS,HEADACHES AND AT TIMES EXTREME SLEEPINESS. A FEW MONTHS AGO FORD SENT US A SAFETY NOTICE, STATING THEY WOULD REPROGRAM THE AIR CONDITIONER. THEY STATED THIS WOULD FIX EXHAUST GASES ENTERING THE VEHICLE. THIS RE-PROGRAMING HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. WE CONTINUE TO HAVE EXHAUST SMELLS IN THE VEHICLE, ESPECIALLY ON ACCELERATION. WE CONTINUE TO HAVE NAUSEA, DIZZINESS, HEADACHES, SLEEPINESS, AND SOMETIMES PERIODS OF CONFUSION.
ORIGINAL TIRES THAT CAME WITH TRUCK VERTUS S1NOBLE2 255/50 R20 105 H ARE WORN OUT AFTER 15000 MILES OF NORMAL DRIVING..TREAD IS AT A MINIMUM AND TIRES LOOK WEAK ON SIDE WALLS...STARTING TO CRACK. TIRES NEED TO BE REPLACED AFTER ONLY 15000 MI
2017 FORD EXPLORER EQUIPPED WITH HANKOOK VENTUS S1 NOBLE 2 105H TIRES, SIZE: 255/50R20. TIRES, CHUNKS AND PIECES OF THE RUBBER DETACHED FROM THE TIRES. CALLED MALLOY FORD IN WINCHESTER VA AND SAID NEEDED TO CONTACT A HANKOOK DEALER NO ONE WILL HELP AND ACCORDING TO THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY THAT COMES WITH NEW CAR WOULD ONLY COVER SIXTY PERCENT OF THE TIRE REPLACEMENT AFTER 12,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE TIRES WERE NOT REPLACED. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE IS 21,500 WITH 6/32 THREAD. FORD HAS MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS AND DOING NOTHING TO HELP EITHER IS HANKOOK . TIRES ARE A ROAD HAZARD AND COULD BLOW OUT AND CAUSE A ACCIDENT THIS NEEDS INVESTIGATED.

TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, REPLACED THE CABIN FILTER BUT SMELL REMAINS. TOOK IT AGAIN AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. THEY ALSO SAID IT WASN'T CO2 OR AC GAS BECAUSE BOTH OF THOSE I SUPPOSEDLY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SMELL AS THEY HAVE NO ODOR. AS FAR AS I KNOW, CO2 SMELLS LIKE SMOKE THOUGH!! IN THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER TO BRING MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE BECAUSE OF CO2 COMPLAINTS IN THE CABIN, BUT APPARENTLY THAT WAS ACTUALLY WHEN MY CAR DIDN'T HAVE ANY SMELL... ANYWAYS, AFTER SEEING SO MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE I DECIDED TO REGISTER MINE HERE AS WELL. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO OR WHAT STEPS TO TAKE...
THE VEHICLE HAS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE IN MOTION AND WHILE PARKED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE HAS ALSO HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES WHERE IT ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN, THE MOST NOTABLE BEING WHEN IT WILL APPLY FULL ACCELERATION WHILE IN A CORNER. THIS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO BOTH THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP NETWORKS AND FORD CORPORATE WITH NO WILLINGNESS TO DOCUMENT THE ISSUES OR INVESTIGATE. THE DATE OF FIRST INSTANCE HAS BEEN NOTATED BELOW. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED DUE TO THESE SAFETY CONCERNS AND REPLACED PRIOR TO LEASE EXPIRATION. *TR
TRIM PIECES ON EITHER SIDE OF FRONT WINDSHIELD FLEW OFF WHILE IN MOTION DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE. BOTH SIDES CAME DETACHED DURING TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS ABOUT A MONTH APART FROM EACH OTHER. DURING ONE INCIDENT (07/27/18) THE TRIM PIECE FLEW OFF OF MY CAR AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THEIR FRONT WINDSHIELD. NEXT TIME THE CAR WAS STARTED THE POWER STEERING WAS NO LONGER OPERATING AND SEVERAL ADDITIONAL DASH WARNING INDICATORS WERE GOING OFF.
I WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND DROPPED MY BELT CLIP FOR MY CELL PHONE BETWEEN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE CENTER CONSOLE. I REACHED BETWEEN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND CENTER CONSOLE TO RETRIEVE MY BELT CLIP AND AS I BROUGHT MY HAND BACK UP THE BRACKET THE SEAT IS ATTACHED TO SLICED THE SIDE OF MY HAND/THUMB OPEN. BLOOD SHOT OUT IMMEDIATELY SO I DROVE TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WHERE I RECEIVED SEVERAL STITCHES.

IF THIS PART HAD HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED AND ACCIDENT. IT IS IN MY OPINION THAT THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY CONCERN. HANKOOK TIRES SHOW PREMATURE WEAR ON ALL 4 TIRES. 255/50R20 105H ARE WORN 60-65% AT 17,600 MILES ON VEHICLE (15 MONTHS OLD). TIRES WERE ROTATED EVERY 5,500 MILES.
MY VEHICLE CONSISTENTLY HAS AN EXHAUST SMELL WHILE DRIVING AND REGISTERS CO LEVELS FROM 3-5 PPM IN NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. UNDER HARD ACCELERATION THE CO LEVELS HAVE REGISTER ABOVE 11 PPM. THE SMELL AND CO LEVELS ARE AT THEIR WORST WHEN THE ENGINE IS UNDER A LOT OF STRAIN. FOR INSTANCE, WHEN PULLING A TRAILER. I HAVE RECORDED CO LEVELS AS HIGH AS 38 PPM WHEN PULLING A TRAILER. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWICE ALREADY AND STILL DO NOT HAVE THE ISSUE RESOLVED. MY WIFE AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO MONITOR THE CO LEVELS IN OUR CAR. VEHICLE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AND IS MORE PRONOUNCED WHEN MAKING TURNS. AFTER STALLING IT STARTS BUCKING AND I HAVE TO PRESS GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO GET A RESPONSE.
Over the time of ownership for this Ford Explorer (original owner) the window trim and the gasket under the trim has continued to fall off. The gasket on the passenger side has come out enough to where when you are driving it is slapping the window which is very distracting and unsafe to the driver. Most of the gasket has already ripped off. I contacted Ford and they refused to cover it under the warranty. The trim is a one time use item so to replace it they must break it and it cost over $1000 per Ford. This needs to be a recall item it is unsafe!
MY EXPLORER SPORT WITH TURBO HAS A RECURRING OIL LEAK THAT THE DEALERSHIP HAS ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR A FEW TIMES. I CAN SMELL OIL BURNING WITHIN MINUTES OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND THERE ARE OIL STAINS ON OUR GARAGE FLOOR. MY CONCERN IS THAT OIL MAY BE LEAKING ONTO HOT ENGINE COMPONENTS CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. THE DEALERSHIP HAS HAD THE VEHICLE FOR OVER 2 WEEKS CUMULATIVELY AND I BELIEVE THIS IS PART OF A BIGGER PROBLEM. THE GM TOLD ME TODAY THAT HE BELIEVES THIS IS A FREAK OCCURRENCE, BUT IN SPEAKING WITH A FRIEND OF MINE WHOSE HUSBAND IS A MECHANIC ON FORDS, HE SAID THE FORD KNOWS THIS IS AN ISSUE, BUT HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS MODEL, YET. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO AT THIS POINT. I JUST KNOW THAT I'M PAYING FOR A VEHICLE THAT I CAN'T DRIVE AND THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO REPAIR IT WHICH IS VERY CONCERNING.
