MY FORD F150 WINDOW REGULATOR HAS WENT OUT ON 3 DIFFERENT WINDOWS IN 3 MONTHS. THE WINDOW FOR NO CAUSE IE.. ROLLING UP OR DOWN WINDOW OUT OF THE BLUE A LOUD "POP" AND THE WINDOW FALLS INSIDE THE DOOR WHERE IT WILL STAY UNTIL THE REGULATOR IS REPLACED. I'VE BEEN DOING Y RESEARCH AND I'VE DISCOVERED I'M NOT ALONE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE. THERE'S CLEARLY A PROBLEM. *TR
WITHIN THE LAST TREE MONTHS (SHORTLY AFTER THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRATION) THREE OF FOUR POWER WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED IN MY F-150. THE DEALER INDICATES THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON REPAIR ACTIONS FOR F-150'S. THIS IS CLEARLY A WELL DOCUMENTED AND COMPLAINED ABOUT PRODUCT DEFICIENCY THAT IS ALSO A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE WHEN THE FAILURES OCCUR THE WINDOW DROPS INTO THE DOOR PANEL. MY MOST RECENT FAILURE WAS DURING A SERIOUS RAIN STORM WITH MY CHILD SITTING AT THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW WHEN IT FAILED AND FELL INTO THE DOOR PANEL. ALTHOUGH THIS FORD DEFECT IS WIDELY DOCUMENTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY IS DOING NOTHING FOR IT'S CUSTOMERS. THE COST FOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR REPLACEMENTS IN MY LESS THAN FOUR YEAR OLD 2005 F-150 (EACH DOOR HAS A DIFFERENT PART/PRICE EACH OF WHICH WAS OVER $400) HAS ALREADY EXCEEDED ALL OF MY COMBINED REPAIR COSTS FOR MY PREVIOUS F-150 OVER A TEN YEAR PERIOD. I HAVE BEEN A DIE HARD FORD PRODUCT BUYER (PINTO, TEMPO, GRANADA, MERCURY MARQUIS, RANGER AND THREE F-150'S) BUT QUALITY, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOYALTY TO THE CUSTOMER NO LONGER HOLD ANY VALUE TO THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I AM ACTUALLY CONSIDERING TRADING IN MY FORD FOR A CHEVY (UGHHH) TO AVOID ANOTHER WINDOW REPAIR THAT COULD BE APPLIED TO A NEW VEHICLE PAYMENT. ONE THING IS FOR SURE, AFTER DEALING WITH THESE F-150 WINDOW PROBLEMS, IF FORD IS NOT WILLING TO CORRECT THEIR PROBLEM AND PROPERLY SUPPORT THEIR CONSUMERS I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER FORD PRODUCT.*TR
WINDOW REGULATOR CLIPS ON 2005 F150 FAILED AND WINDOW DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DROPPED TO BOTTOM OF DOOR PANEL. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CREWCAB F150 MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW BROKE. I HAD IT REPLACE BECAUSE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE THEN MY PASSENGER WINDOW FELL OUT WHILE I WAS ROLLING IT DOWN. I COULDN'T HAVE THIS ONE REPLACE BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED A COUPLE BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. I SEE ALOT PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ISSUE I WOULD TO SEE IT RECALLED. THANK YOU *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. WHILE STOPPED, THE CONTACT HEARD A TICKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE CAM PHASER AND THE TENTIONERS WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
MOVING APPROXIMATELY 35MPH HEARD A LOUD POP AND THE DRIVERS WINDOW THEN FELL INTO THE DOOR. UNABLE TO CLOSE WINDOW. HAVE NOT TAKEN TO SHOP YET. *TR
SPEEDOMETER AND GAUGES ALL DROP TO ZERO, POWER TO CLOCK/RADIO GOES OFF, FLASH OF ABS LIGHT AND THEN FLASH OF SRS LIGHT, WHEN GAUGES RETURN TO NORMAL THE LOW FUEL SIGNAL GOES ON IN THE ODOMETER UNTIL THE FUEL GAUGE RETURNS TO NORMAL. SRS LIGHT BLINKS 5 TIMES THEN 3 TIMES, REPEATS, AND THEN STAYS ON UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS SHUT OFF. THIS HAPPENS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVEN DOWN THE ROAD AND MAY HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES IN A ROW. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE FUEL INJECTORS FAILED, THUS CAUSING THE ENGINE TO FAIL. THE COST TO REPLACE THE COMPONENT WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $7,300. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INITIATIVE THAT WOULD EXTEND THE WARRANTY ON THE FUEL INJECTORS. THE CONTACT IS WAITING ON A DECISION ON WHETHER THE MANUFACTURER WILL ASSUME FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 73,000.
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW JUST FELL INTO THE DOOR. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 FORD F-150 CREW CAB. IN SHORT, THE WINDOW REGULATORS ARE FAILING AT A HIGH RATE, AND YET THE ISSUE IS NO BEING ADDRESSED AT ALL. HOW IS THIS A SAFETY ISSUE, YOU MIGHT ASK? THE WINDOWS- WITHOUT WARNING- WILL MAKE A LOUD POP AND SIMPLY FALL DOWN INTO THE DOOR PANELS. WHEN YOU ARE IN A RAIN STORM OR IF IT IS SNOWING, THIS IS AN ISSUE (ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE). THE LOUD THUD IS ENOUGH TO POSSIBLY MAKE ONE HAVE AN ACCIDENT ON THE ROAD. FORD HAS YET TO ISSUE A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN OR FORMAL RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE. SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOBBY ON THE BEHALF OF SAFETY OR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SHOULD BE INITIATED.... PLEASE ADVISE. *TR
FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAVE BEEN HEARING A POPPING OR CLICKING TYPE NOISE COMING FROM MY FRONT DRIVER SIDE WINDOW OF MY 2005 FORD F-150, I DIDN'T THINK ANYTHING OF IT, 2 DAYS AGO I GOT INTO MY TRUCK SHUT THE DOOR, "BAM" THE WINDOW FALLS INTO THE DOOR, I HIT THE WINDOW BUTTON, NOTHING BUT A CRACKLING SOUND LIKE THE WINDOW WAS BREAKING. I PUT PLASTIC ON THE WINDOW AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF ANY THING LIKE THAT AND IT WILL BE $54.00 TO TAKE OFF THE DOOR PANEL FOR "DIAGNOSTICS FOR INVESTIGATORY ISSUES" , $476.05 LATER, THE REGULATOR ASSEMBLE WAS BROKEN AND NEEDED REPAIR. I ASKED FOR THE OLD PART WHEN I PICKED UP THE TRUCK, THEY SAID " THE PART HAS ALREADY BEEN DISPOSED OF. PART # 4L3Z*1823201* REGULATOR ASY. *TR
TRUCK WILL NOT DISENGAGE FROM 4HI AND EVEN THOUGH IT IS TURNED OFF IT WILL MAKE A TERRIBLE GRINDING SOUND, WHICH I THINK HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TRANSFER CASE. THE LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON WHEN FOR 4HI, SO I AM ALSO THINKING THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE RELAY SWITCH.. ALSO OUR TRUCK VIBRATES, BUT HAS ONLY DONE IT TWICE, HOWEVER THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 68 THOUSANDS KILOMETERS ON IT, IT IS LIKE A BRAND NEW TRUCK. THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOW ON MY 2005 FORD F150 XLT 4X4 TRUCK SUDDENLY SLIPPED ALL OF THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR WHILE I WAS PARKED BY THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ALL ATTEMPTS TO RAISE IT USING THE POWER BUTTONS FAILED AND IT WASN'T UNTIL SEVERAL HOURS LATER THAT I WAS ABLE TO DISMANTLE THE DOOR AND PROP THE WINDOW CLOSED. I FEEL THIS CONSTITUTED A SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS OCCURRENCE IN UNSAFE, HIGH CRIME AREAS AND DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF OCCURRENCE DURING ADVERSE, POSSIBLY LIFE THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F150. WHILE DRIVING 2 MPH IN REVERSE THE TIRES BEGAN TO SPIN AROUND AND THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE DID NOT ACTIVATE. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WAS REPAIRED THE FIRST TIME IN JAN 2009. . THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 48000. WINDOWS SUDDENLY FALLING DOWN WHILE TRAVELING ON PUBLIC ROADS. POSES POTENTIAL HAZARD TO OCCUPANTS AND DRIVER. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE BED AND CAB COMPARTMENTS OF THE VEHICLE BURST INTO FLAMES. THE CONTACT WAS NOTIFIED BY ANOTHER MOTORIST. HE IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. HE NOTICED FUEL LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE ONTO THE ROADWAY, WHICH ALSO CAUGHT FIRE. THE VEHICLE BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES AND WAS DESTROYED. THERE WERE NO WARNINGS PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT STATED THAT THE FIRE ORIGINATED ON THE TOP SURFACE OF THE FUEL TANK. THERE WERE NO PERSONAL INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTION AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAS NOT DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 47,000.
PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW REGULATOR FAILURE - FELL INSIDE DOOR. ACCORDING TO DEALER IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT CAUSED BY FORD USING CHEAP PLASTIC CLIPS TO SECURE CABLES. HAD TO TAPE UP THE WINDOW WITH PLASTIC TO PROCEED HOME. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND I KNOW THAT FORD IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT REFUSES TO FIX THIS DEFECT BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. GLASS CRACKED WHEN IT FELL INSIDE THE DOOR. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS COMMON DEFECT, OR AT LEAST TELL ALL FUTURE CUSTOMERS OF THIS - BEFORE THEY PUT THEIR MONEY INTO THIS SHODDY WORKMANSHIP. *TR
WHILE INVESTIGATING A FRONT TIRE WITH AN AIR LEAK, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE OUTER RIM (WHERE THE TIRE BEAD SEATS) OF THE STEEL OEM WHEEL HAD SPLIT AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE RIM FOR A CIRCUMFERENTIAL LENGTH OF OVER 10 INCHES NEAR THE TIRE BEAD SEALING SURFACE. IT APPEARS THAT THE OUTER PORTION OF THE RIM WAS ALMOST TO THE POINT OF SEPARATING FROM THE REST OF THE WHEEL AND ALLOWING THE TIRE TO DISMOUNT FROM THE WHEEL. IF THAT HAD OCCURRED IN TRAFFIC, THE RESULTS EASILY COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY. THIS IS A 17 INCH SIX LUG OEM WHEEL WITH THE CHROME CLAD FRONT SURFACE FROM A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE F-150. THIS WHEEL WAS REMOVED FROM SERVICE, BUT WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT OTHER SIMILAR WHEELS ON THIS AND OTHER TRUCKS AND WOULD BE INTERESTED TO KNOW WHICH OTHER WHEEL TYPES HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR SIMILAR DEFECTS DUE TO SIMILAR MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE BRAKES STARTED TO PULSATE AND THE STEERING WHEEL JERKED VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROTORS WERE WARPED AND AS A RESULT, THE ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ALL FOUR WINDOWS DO NOT ROLL UP OR DOWN. THE DIGITAL INSTRUMENTS AND LIGHTS ON DASHBOARD FILKER ON AND OFF. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CHECKED VEHICLE AND STATED ALL FOUR OF THE ELECTRIC MOTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACE. STILL WORKING ON THE DASHBOARD PROBLEM. *TR
THE SPARKPLUGS ON THE FORD TRITON 3 VALVE ENGINE. WHEN I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK IT WAS KNOWN BY THE DEALER AND THE COMPANY THAT THERE WERE PROBLEMS WITH THE SPARKPLUGS. NEITHER ONE WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO REPLACE THE PLUGS IN ALL THESE ENGINES AND REIMBURSE THE CONSUMERS FOR ANY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES THEY HAVE INCURRED. *TR

INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW SWITCH ON MY 2005 FORD F-150 THEN DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THE WINDOW JUST FELL DOWN INTO THE DOOR. *TR
THE CABLE IN THE WINDOW REGULATOR IN MY 2005 FORD F-150 COMPLETELY STRIPPED OUT. THE PART IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, UNLESS I WANT TO PAY $330 AT THE FORD PLACE. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND THE PART ANYWHERE. MANY PEOPLE WITH 2004-2005 F-150S SEEM TO BE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. CONSIDERING I CAN'T FIX MY WINDOW SINCE I CAN'T FIND THE PART; I HAVE PLASTIC TAPED UP OVER MY WINDOW AND HAVE TO OPEN MY DOOR EVERY TIME I NEED TO SEE OUT THAT SIDE OF THE TRUCK. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT FORD PUT A RECALL ON THIS PART. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 FORD F-150 FX4 WITH 48,000 MILES. TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, I NOTICED THAT THE PAINT INSIDE OF THE GAS CAP DOOR AT THE BOTTOM EDGE WAS STARTING TO PEEL AWAY FROM THE BODY. IT HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS AND IS NOW VISIBLE WITH THE GAS DOOR SHUT. I FIND THIS VERY DISAPPOINTING CONSIDERING THE TRUCK ONLY HAS 48,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF. *TR
LIKE MANY OTHER PEOPLE DRIVING F150S I CLOSED MY DOOR AND HEAR A LOUD POP SOUND FROM MY DOOR. I FIRST BELIEVED THAT THE DOOR HAD SLAMMED ON SOMETHING, SO I OPENED THE DOOR AND LOOKED, THERE WAS NOTHING. ABOUT 2 MINUTES OF DRIVING LATER MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW SUDDENLY AND QUITE FORCEFULLY FELL INSIDE THE PANEL. AFTER I GOT HOME I TOOK THE DOOR APART AND FOUND A TANGLE OF WIRE AND WINDOW AT THE BOTTOM. AFTER REMOVING ALL THE PARTS IN ACORDANCE WITH THE CHILTON'S MANUAL, AND RECONSTRUCTING THE ELECTRIC WINDOW ON THE KITCHEN FLOOR BECAUSE IT WAS 20*F OUTSIDE I DISCOVERED THAT THE ACTUAL DEFECT CAME FROM THE MOUNTING BRACKET THAT SUPPORTS THE WINDOW AND SLIDES UP AND DOWN ON THE RAIL WAS THE REASON FOR THE DEFECT. I THEN TRIED TO FIND THE PART BY GOOGLE-ING "F150 WINDOW REPAIR GLASS MOUNT" AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A WHOLE LIST OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AS ME. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND OF COURSE THE ELECTRIC WINDOW KIT IT ONLY SOLD MOTOR AND ALL FOR 199.99, WHILE ALL THAT IS DEFECTIVE IS THE CLIP WHICH EVEN AS A DEALER PART WOULD ONLY BE 15-20 DOLLARS BY MY ESTIMATION. THE CAR IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WITH 37K MILES. I'M A BIG FORD FAN BUT THIS IS REALLY UNSAT, ESPECIALLY WITH ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE VERY SAME ISSUE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING OUT OF A PARKING SPACE BETWEEN 5-10 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE BOOSTER LINE FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE CONTACT PAID FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE REPAIRED. SHORTLY AFTER, HE DISCOVERED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED ACCORDING TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V208000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:POWER ASSIST:VACUUM:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS). HE WENT TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY WANTED TO REPLACE THE SAME HOSE THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY ON THE VEHICLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFUSED TO PLACE THE SAME DEFECTIVE HOSE IN THE VEHICLE. HE BELIEVES THAT THE RECALLED ITEM SHOULD BE REPLACED BY A WORKING ITEM. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 19,000.
I DROVE AWAY FROM AN ATM WENT TO PUT WINDOW UP HERE LOUD RINGING NOISE AND WINDOW WOULD NOT GO ALL THE WAY UP. THEN A FEW MINUTES LATER I HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE AND NOTICE WINDOW HAD FALLEN INTO DOOR AND. WOULD NOT RETURN TO THE CLOSED POSITION. THE NOISE WAS LOUD ENOUGH TO CAUSE GRANDSON SITTING IN CAR SEAT IN BACK OF VEHICLE TO START CRYING. IF THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN FOUL WEATHER THE INSIDE OF VEHICLE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN SOAKED AS WELL AS A HAZARD OF GRANDSON GETTING INJURED FROM POSSIBILITY OF SOMETHING ENTERING VEHICLE THROUGH OPEN WINDOW OPENING. *TR
2005 F150 REGULATOR BROKE AND BROKE WINDOW. I HAVE READ THAT THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. *TR
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH MY FORD F150 TRUCK ENGINE SHUT DOWN. THE TRUCK LOST ALL POWER BRAKES AND STEERING. SECONDS BEFORE IT STALLED A ENGINE MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ONLY ABLE TO RE-START AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, PLACING THE TRUCK IN PARK AND TURNING THE KEY OFF THEN BACK ON. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND THEY ROAD TESTED AND DIAGNOSED CODES; P2104, P0121 AND P2112. PINPOINTED AND FOUND ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BODY PHYSICALLY STICKING CLOSED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS TYPE OF FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC PART THAT CONTROLS THE FOOT PEDAL FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 33,900.
MY TRUCK WAS HIT BY A CAR THAT CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. HER CAR HIT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF MY TRUCK AND THEN SLAMMED THE SIDE DRIVER SIDE. HER AIR BAG DEPLOYED BUT MINE DIDN'T-- I NOW HAVE TWO CRACKED ROTOR CUFFS ON BOTH ARMS. HAVE SURGERY ON ONE ALREADY. ANOTHER TO BE DONE WHEN I RECOVER FROM THE FIRST. EVERY TIME I ROLL UP THE WINDOW FROM THE DRIVER SIDE I HEARD A LITTLE NOISE LIKE SAND BETWEEN THE GLASS AND THE DOOR SO ONE DAY I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE WINDOW FELL INSIDE THE DOOR AND IT WAS RAINING. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT ABOUT 30 MPH I HEARD WIND BLOWING INTO MY 2005 FORD F-150 AND NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT REAR WINDOW HAD FELL DOWN ABOUT HALF WAY I TRIED TO ROLL UP THE WINDOW WITH NO SUCCESS. I HAD TO TAPE THE WINDOW SO THAT IT WOULD STAY IN THE UP POSITION. THE TRUCK ONLY HAS ABOUT 30,000 MILES AND THIS IS THE SECOND WINDOW I HAVE HAD TO REPAIR. THIS WAS VERY TROUBLING TO ME THAT MY WINDOW COULD JUST FALL DOWN WITH NO ONE PUSHING THE BUTTON OR ANYTHING. I WONDERED WHAT IF MY TRUCK WAS JUST PARKED IN A PARKING LOT AND THIS OCCURRED SOMEONE COULD EASILY STEAL EVERYTHING IN MY VEHICLE. I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE WAS HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THE WINDOW REGULATORS ON THE 2004 AND 2005 F-150'S ARE FAULTY AND DANGEROUS. AND IT IS TIME THAT SOMEONE MAKE FORD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT. *TR
WITHIN THE LAST FOUR MONTHS (SHORTLY AFTER THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRATION) THREE OF FOUR POWER WINDOW REGULATORS HAVE FAILED IN MY F-150. THE DEALER INDICATES THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST COMMON REPAIR ACTIONS FOR F-150'S. THIS IS CLEARLY A WELL DOCUMENTED AND COMPLAINED ABOUT PRODUCT DEFICIENCY THAT IS ALSO A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE WHEN THE FAILURES OCCUR THE WINDOW DROPS INTO THE DOOR PANEL. MY MOST RECENT FAILURE WHICH OCCURRED LAST WEEK WAS DURING A SERIOUS RAIN STORM WITH MY CHILD SITTING AT THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOW WHEN IT FAILED AND FELL INTO THE DOOR PANEL. *TR
1. BRAKE DOT 3 IS RUNNING OUT AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS. WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE KEEPS GOING. IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE RUNNING, I MUST PUSH DOWN THE BRAKE VERY HARD TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TO CONSTANTLY REFILL THE OIL TANK. 2. WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE SPEED REACHES AT AROUND 45-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY LOSES POWER AND HIT AT 3-5 MPH BEFORE STOPPING. AFTER I COMPLETELY TURN OFF AND RESET THE BATTERY, THE VEHICLE STARTS NORMAL AGAIN. THE VEHICLE HAPPENED FROM 2009 TO CURRENT TIME, BUT THE ODB SCAN DOES NOT DETECT ANY CODE OR ERRORS.
DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FELL DOWN INSIDE DOOR WHILE CAR WAS PARKED. *TR

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE TEMPERATURE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, WHICH MEANT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OVERHEATING. HE ALSO NOTICED SMOKE AND WATER EMANATING FROM THE VEHICLE. IF THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE STALLED WHILE DRIVING, HE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN A CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AT THE COST OF $300. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE REPAIR, HE NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE IDLED ROUGHLY. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT THE COST OF $5,000. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 82,000.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE INSTALLATION OF THE WINDSHIELD WAS NOT FORD MANUFACTURED AND WOULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW FROM A FORD DEALER AND HAS NOT HAD ANY REPAIRS TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 47,197.
