MY TRUCK IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A MONTH AND A HALF. IT HAS AN ISSUE WITH STALLING. 5 TIMES SO FAR PLUS THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT READING THE PROPER AMOUNT (5-7 GALS LOW). STALLED TWICE IN A WEEK AND THE DEALER CHANGED THE SENDING UNIT AND REPROGRAMMED COMPUTER. WAS FINE FOR TWO WEEKS AND IT STALLED TWO MORE TIMES WITH THE GAS GAUGE READING LOW AGAIN. SAID THEY FOUND GAS IN THE EVAP CANISTER AND THAT WAS CAUSING ALL OF THE PROBLEMS. CHANGED CAN AND WENT ON MY WAY. THAT WAS 1-28-11 AND ON 1-31-11 VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN WITH THE GAS GAUGE STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT IS BACK AT THE SHOP (AS OF 2-1-11) AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DUPLICATE OR FIND A PROBLEM YET. DEALER CLAIMS THAT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF THE PROBLEM, BUT SEEMS LIKE THERE ARE TOO MANY COMPLAINTS HERE FOR FORD NOT TO HAVE NOTICED. *LN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AN ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECAME STUCK AND PINNED TO THE FLOOR MAT AS THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. HE THEN USED HIS FEET TO RELEASE THE FLOOR MAT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT STATED HE HAD EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE SEVERAL TIMES OVER A COURSE OF THREE MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER ADVISED HIM THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE OF LIABILITY REASONS. HE WAS ADVISED BY THE DEALER THAT THEY COULD NOT ALTER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE FLOOR MAT WHERE A HOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO SECURE THE MAT TO THE FLOOR BUT THERE WAS NO RETAINER CLIP IN THE FLOOR BOARD OF THE VEHICLE TO SECURE THE FLOOR MAT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,900. UPDATED 11/03/11*LJ UPDATED 11/14/11
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD CLICKING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE. THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR WHENEVER ACCELERATING UP TO 50 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE CLICKING NOISE WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
TRUCK HAS A WARNING LIGHT ON THAT LOOKS LIKE A WRENCH. TRUCK HAS BEEN STALLING WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING THE TRUCK TO LOSE ALL POWER AND STOP DEAD IN THE MIDDLE OF ROAD. FORD TECH'S SAY THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING WRONG AND FORD REFUSES TO HELP. I AM JUST WAITING TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT SO I CAN SUE FORD FOR NOT ACTING ON THIS SAFETY ISSUE AFTER HAVING THE TRUCK IN FOR REPAIR FOUR TIMES WITH NO HELP. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE WITH A TANK OF FUEL. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED A READING OF MORE THAN TANK AND THE MILES UNTIL THE EMPTY MESSAGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INCREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THERE WAS A FAILURE WITHIN THE SLOSH SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,200.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. SHE DISCONNECTED THE FUSE IN ORDER TO STOP THEM FROM WORKING; HOWEVER, THEY REMAINED ON, AS A RESULT SHE DECIDED TO REMOVE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT SHE WAS UNABLE TO SPEAK WITH A REPRESENTATIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,655.
THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS IN AND OUT OF GEAR "SLAMMING" THE VEHICLE AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE OUT OF CONTROL IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 72 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND BEGAN TO FISHTAIL. THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT THE WHEELS WERE LOCKED SO HE SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND ALLOWED THE VEHICLE IT TO ROLL TO A STOP. THE CONTACT SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND WHEN IT WAS RESTARTED, IT WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO GEAR. AFTER REPEATED RESTARTS, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE SHIFTED AND WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE SHIFTED FROM SIXTH GEAR TO FIRST GEAR WHICH CAUSED THE WHEELS TO LOCK. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 12,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
WE HAVE EXPERIENCED SIX DIFFERENT INSTANCES SINCE DECEMBER WHERE THE ENGINE WOULD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHILE IN MOTION. RANGE OF SPEED AT TIME OF INCIDENT HAS BEEN BETWEEN 5 - 40 MPH. ON JANUARY 23, 2011, WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH DOWN A WINDY HILL, THE VEHICLE FLASHED THE WRENCH LIGHT THEN COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN CAUSING A LOSS OF POWER STEERING. AS A RESULT, I HAD A NEAR MISS OF A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE ONCOMING LANE AS THE TRUCK I WAS DRIVING VEERED INTO THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC BECAUSE I WAS UNABLE TO IMMEDIATELY REGAIN CONTROL. TYPICALLY THE TRUCK CAN BE PUT INTO PARK THEN TURNED BACK ON BUT NOT IN THIS CASE. THE LATEST STALL OF THE ENGINE OCCURRED ON FEBRUARY 9, 2011 WHILE MAKING A TURN IN A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER ON JANUARY 23, 2011 AND THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND THE COMPUTER READING DID NOT SHOW FAULTY EQUIPMENT. IN ADDITION, I AM EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL GAUGE. EVEN AFTER COMPLETELY FILLING UP THE VEHICLE, THE GAUGE DOES NOT READ AS FULL. THERE ARE FUNCTIONAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE. AS A MOTHER WITH TWO CHILDREN WHO IS THE PRIMARY DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE, I AM TERRIFIED OF THE POTENTIAL FOR A FATAL ACCIDENT TO OCCUR. THERE ARE NUMEROUS WEB PAGE/BLOGS WHERE DRIVERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY HAVE DESCRIBED THESE SAME ISSUES. FORD NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING.
2010 FORD F-150 6 SPEED AUTO TRANSMISSION SHIFTS HARD AND SHUDDERS WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN 1ST AND SECOND AND DOWNSHIFTING BETWEEN 2ND AND 1ST. OFTEN TIMES SO HARD IT CHIPS THE TIRES. ON WET ROADS THIS WILL CAUSE YOU TO LOSE CONTROL. TRANSMISSION ALSO SHUTTER AT 30 MPH. FORD CLAIMS THIS IS NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS TRANSMISSION. THERE IS NO FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. TRANSMISSION IS IN 09-11 F150 AND EXPEDITIONS. *TR
WHILE DRIVING THE WRENCH WARNING LIGHT COMES ON, FOLLOWED BY THE GAS PEDAL NOT WORKING AND THEN THE ENGINE STALL OUT. THIS ALL HAPPENS WHILE THE TRUCK IS IN MOTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT 30 MPH, 60MPH AND WHILE ACCELERATING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FORD FOUR TIMES NOW AND THEY "CANT DUPLICATE IT" SO IT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED YET. *TR
WHILE PARKED, PARKING LOTS AND TAIL LIGHTS STAY ON DESPITE SWITCH POSITION, THEN WHEN TRUCK PUT IN DRIVE, RADIO GOES OUT... THEN WIPERS FAIL TO WORK, ILLUMINATED ODOMETER FLASHES ALONG WITH 4WD INDICATOR LIGHT AND INTERIOR DOME LIGHT. DEALER CLAIMS WATER IN GEM PANEL???? INTERNET SEARCH SHOWS HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR WITH MORE DANGEROUS RESULTS, SUCH AS BEING LOCKED IN CAR WHEN POWER LOCKS FAIL OR WIPERS FAIL DURING RAINSTORMS. FORD ISSUED SPEC. MSG TO DEALER #15773 AND KNOWS OF PROBLEM FOR YEARS, BUT HASN'T NOTIFIED OWNERS TO FIX BEFORE DAMAGE OCCURS TO FUSES AND A MAJOR REPAIR IS NEEDED. THEY CLAIM WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER, BUT LEAKS OCCURRED DURING WARRANTY PERIOD BUT PROBLEMS DIDN'T MANIFEST UNTIL AFTER WARRANTY PERIOD. *TR
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DISABLED LIGHT TURNS ON AND OFF WHEN A 108 POUND PERSON IS SITTING CORRECTLY IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WE RECENTLY TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO TUTTLE CLICK FORD IN IRVINE FOR INSPECTION. THEY SAID THAT THERE WHERE NO ERROR CODES SO THEY ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM AND ARE NOT ATTEMPTING TO REPLACE ANY SENSORS BECAUSE FORD MOTOR COMPANY WILL ONLY REIMBURSE THEM IF A PROBLEM IS DIAGNOSED. THE SERVICE ADVISOR CLAIMS THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY NONSENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO US WITHOUT BEING FIXED. THIS IS A 10 MONTH OLD VEHICLE WITH 3550 MILES. *TR
SOMETIMES AROUND 45 TO 50 MPH WHEN ACCELERATING, THE TRUCK DOES A VIOLENT HARD SHIFT. IT IS RANDOM WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN AND HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER A YEAR. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME FORD IS AWARE OF IT BUT DOES NOT HAVE A SOLUTION. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD DIRECTLY AND THEY JUST TELL ME TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
THE DAY AFTER PURCHASING A NEW 2010 F-150 FORD TRUCK THIS PAST NOVEMBER I EXPERIENCED A TERRIBLE VIBRATION AT AROUND 70 MPH. I STOPPED AT THE NEAREST FORD DEALER WHICH WAS FRANKFORT KY AND THEY CHECKED THE BALANCE THEN SAID THERE WAS AN DRIVE SHAFT ALIGNMENT REPAIR NEEDED BUT WOULD TAKE SEVERAL HOURS. BECAUSE I WAS TRAVELING AND WOULD NOT BE AT MY HOME LOCATION FOR A WEEK I CALLED THE DEALER IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED, AFTER A BIT OF CHECKING AROUND THEY TOLD ME VIA PHONE THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS NOT THE ISSUE. A WEEK LATER I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE ORIGINAL DEALER AND THEY BALANCED THE TIRES AND GIVE IT BACK TO ME. I HAD A 400 MILE TRIP TO MAKE AND WITHIN THE FIRST 50 MILES THE SHAKE WAS BACK IN THE TRUCK. I CALLED THE DEALER THEN RETURNED THE TRUCK BACK TO THEM 3 DAYS LATER. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOOK A RIDE WITH ME AND SAID IT FELT LIKE FLAT SPOTS ON THE TIRES. THE KEPT THE TRUCK OVERNIGHT AND DID ANOTHER BALANCE JOB WHILE CHECKING THE DRIVE SHAFT, BRAKES, TRANSMISSION AND ROTORS. WHEN I GOT THE TRUCK BACK THIS TIME THE SHAKING STARTED AT 45 MPH AND CONTINUED TO AROUND 65 MPH. I WAS ON ANOTHER TRIP AND CALLED THE DEALER TO RELAY THE BAD NEWS. I RETURNED THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED ALL FOUR TIRES WITH PIRELLI 20 INCH SCORPION TIRES LIKE THE ONES THAT CAME ON IT. I OFFERED TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE TO INSTALL ANOTHER BRAND OF TIRE BUT THE DEALER WOULD NOT HAVE IT. AFTER TAKING THE TRUCK ON A 2000 MILE TRIP THE SHAKING HAS RETURNED JUST AS BAD AS THE DAY I PURCHASED THE TRUCK. THE VEHICLE IS 4 MONTHS OLD AND HAS 16000 MILES ON IT, I HAVE COMPLAINED SINCE THE DAY IT WAS PURCHASED AND NOW ITS NEARING HALF OF THE WARRANTY LIFE AND THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED. THE TRUCK SHAKES SO BAD YOU WILL GET AN UPSET STOMACH AFTER A FEW HOURS OF RIDING IN IT. *TR
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR 2010 FORD F-150. GAS TANK 5/8 FULL. SHE WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN ONTO A MAJOR STATE ROUTE WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. SHE WAS ABLE TO RE-START THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED SHE LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO VEER INTO THE ONCOMING LANE OF TRAFFIC. THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE. THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 18 DAYS AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, HOWEVER THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR FIX THE PROBLEM. WE TOOK POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE AGAIN AND IT ALMOST OCCURRED ONCE AND THEN ACTUALLY STALLED A SECOND TIME (DESCRIBED ABOVE). I HAVE FILED A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT. THE VEHICLE WAS AGAIN BROUGHT TO THE DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. FORD MOTOR COMPANY DID ORDER THE REPLACEMENT OF THE VAPOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BETWEEN THE TWO OCCURRENCES. THE PART WAS RETURNED TO FORD BY THE DEALER. I CAN NOT PLACE MY WIFE, CHILDREN OR I, NOT TO MENTION THE MOTORING PUBLIC IN FURTHER DANGER BY DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. WE COULD HAVE EASILY HAD A DANGEROUS TRAFFIC CRASH WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ENDED UP IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THANK YOU. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE BUT IT STARTED TO JERK VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE BUT ADVISED THAT THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
I KEEP HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY 2004 FORD F150 FXR WINDOW REGULATORS. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WILL JUST DROP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR PANEL FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THIS TIME I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE AND WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ROLL THE WINDOW UP THERE WAS A "POP" AND THE WINDOW FELL DOWN> IT STARTLED ME CAUSING ME TO SWERVE AND NEARLY HIT A VEHICLE NEXT TO ME. *TR
2010 F150 ERRATIC AND HARD DOWN SHIFTING. IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC VEHICLE OFTEN LURCHES FORWARD. EVENTUALLY WILL CAUSE MINOR CRASHES UNLESS ONE DRIVES WITH EXTREME CARE. FORD BLOGS ARE FULL OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, YET DEALER SAYS THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS. *TR
MY 2010 FORD F-150 TRANSMISSION "SLAMS" BETWEEN GEARS. FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT ALLEGES THAT IT CANNOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL THE SOFTWARE ISSUE IS REPAIRED. THE TRANSMISSION SLAMS BETWEEN GEARS, AT TIMES THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE SEEMS TO ENGAGE WHEN GOING AROUND A CORNER. THIS ISSUE CONCERNS ME AS IF THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE LOCKS UP I COULD EITHER LOSE STEERING CONTROL OR STOP DEAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. FORD IS NOT CONCERNED BUT I AM VERY CONCERNED. *TR

DRIVING APPROX 45MPH DOWN A BUSY 4 LANE ROAD MY BRAND NEW F-150 QUIT RUNNING. VEHICLE STOPPED WITH NO WARNING, AND STOPPED DEAD IN ITS TRACKS. THANKFULLY THE CAR BEHIND ME WAS ABLE TO SWERVE AROUND ME OR I WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED AND SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. THIS IS THE 3RD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME WITHIN 6 MONTHS. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY HOOKED IT UP AND SEARCHED FOR CODES, WHICH THEY FOUND NONE. SINCE THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY ERRORS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM. SO NOW I GET TO DRIVE AROUND IN HOPES THAT THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN WHILE ON THE EXPRESSWAY, AND NO ONE GETS INJURED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DID NOT ILLUMINATE DURING THE DAY, WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THE READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT IT WAS NORMAL AND THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO ALTER THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO REFERRED HIM BACK TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,600.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. AT TIMES, THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO FAIL TO START. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F150. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE THE DIGITAL FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED THE INCORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. HE ALSO STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS MOVED TO LEVEL GROUND THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT CORRECT ITSELF. HE STATED THAT THE FAILURE HAD BEEN ONGOING FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPROGRAMMED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE REPAIR TEMPORARILY CORRECTED THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED NOT TO RELY ON THE DIGITAL DISPLAY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,000. UPDATED 3/2/2011 *CN

MY 2010 FORD F 150 THAT I BOUGHT NEW IN AUGUST OF 2010 HAS STALLED FIVE DIFFERENT TIME OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS. THE FIRST TIME WAS ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT IT WITH LESS THAN 2000 MILES ON IT. ANYTIME THERE IS A UPHILL GRADE IT CONSTANTLY DOWNSHIFTS AND SHAKES EVEN MORE. THE SHUDDERS ARE SO VIOLENT THE MIRRORS CAN'T BE USED TO SEE ANYTHING. I CAN FEEL IT IN MY TEETH. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL TANK, STRAPS, PRESSURE SENSOR AND VARIOUS CLAMPS NEEDED TO HOLD THE NEW FUEL TANK IN PLACE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THERE WAS NOT A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE AND DID NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 246,000.
