THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS ALSO DIFFICULT TO READ BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS DESIGNED THAT WAY. DRIVING MY 2010 FORD F-150 DOWN THE HIGHWAY. TRUCK STALLED AND QUIT FOR NO REASON. IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP BUT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME. THE TRUCK SEEMED LIKE IT ALWAYS IDLED ROUGH FROM DAY # 1. IT CURRENTLY HAS UNDER 13,000 MILES ON IT. NO ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.CALLING FORD DEALER FIRST THING IN THE MORNING. *TR
2010 F150 TWIN CAB HAS A PLASTIC TRAY IN THE FRONT SEAT MIDDLE BOTTOM SECTION THAT HAS VERY SHARPY FLASH THAT CAUSED MY WIFE TO CUT/PEEL OF HER SKIN FROM HER BACK ANKLE WHILE WEARING HER SANDALS. *TR
2010 FORD F150 XLT PICKUP WITH AUTOMATIC ILLUMINATION/ACTIVATION INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ILLUMINATION LIGHTS ON 3 OCCASIONS TO DATE HAVE FAILED TO ILLUMINATE UNDER LOW /NO LIGHT OUTSIDE CONDITIONS. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS NOT READABLE! NO ILLUMINATION LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A MANUAL HEADLAMP SELECTION (3 POSITIONS) AND EVEN IF THE HEADLAMP SELECTOR SWITCH IS TURNED TO MANUAL "ON", THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DID NOT ILLUMINATE!.....THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD! THE NEXT DAY EVERYTHING WORKED FINE EXCEPT THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DID NOT ILLUMINATE UNTIL IT COMPLETELY DARK OUTSIDE. SAFETY HAZARD!....I CANT READ THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER UNDER LOW LIGHT CONDITION! I BELIEVE THAT THE SENSOR THAT READS OUTSIDE LIGHT CONDITIONS NEEDS TO BE RE-CALIBRATED TO A LOWER SENSITIVITY, AND THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE REPROGRAMMED SO THAT WHEN THE DRIVER MANUALLY SELECTS FOR ALL LIGHTS TO BE ACTIVATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHOULD THEN GO ON! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150 SUPER CREW. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER WAS ABNORMALLY LEAKING INTO THE VEHICLE AND THE BRAKE LIGHT WHENEVER IT WOULD RAIN OR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN THROUGH A CAR WASH. THE DEALER REPLACED THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT YET THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WAS STILL LEAKING AND ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR GLASS WINDOW AND THE SUN ROOF WERE ALSO LEAKING. IN ADDITION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BODY SEAM OF THE ROOF WAS NOT SEALED. THE DEALER RESEALED THE THIRD BRAKE LIGHT, ADJUSTED THE SUN ROOF AND RESEALED THE REAR GLASS. THE DEALER ALSO SANDED DOWN AND RESEALED THE ROOF. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE AND NO LONGER WANTED POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
AS I AM PUMPING GAS, THERE IS SIGNIFICANT SEEPAGE. IN SOME CASES, I HAVE TO STOP HALF WAY THROUGH BECAUSE THE SEEPAGE IS SO GREAT. DURING THIS LAST INCIDENT, I TOOK PICTURES OF THE AREA WHERE THE SEEPAGE WAS TRICKLING DOWN AND SHOWED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND INSISTED THAT IT WAS DUE TO OVERFILLING MY TANK. I TOLD THEM SEEPAGE OCCURRED THROUGHOUT THE FILL UP PROCESS. THIS WAS THEIR SECOND ATTEMPT TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE FUEL GAUGE. ONE MOMENT I WILL HAVE 90 MILES TO EMPTY THEN WITHIN A FEW MILES, I AM AT 50 MILES TO EMPTY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENTAL PANEL ILLUMINATION FAILED AND WOULD NOT LIGHT UP; THE CONTACT COULD NOT SEE THE SPEED AT WHICH HE WAS TRAVELING. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS NORMAL AND NO REPAIRS WERE NEEDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED WHO INFORMED THE DEALER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED IN THAT MANNER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
2010 FORD F-150 SUPERCREW DEVELOPS A SIGNIFICANT SHUTTER/VIBRATION IN THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THE VEHICLE IS AT 1100 RPM AND SPEED IS 30 - 36 MPH. FORD DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE TORQUE CONVERTER AT 8000 MILES, VEHICLE NOW HAS 16,000 MILES AND THE SAME ISSUE IS OCCURRING. DEALER VERIFIED THAT TORQUE CONVERTER IS THE ISSUE. DEALER CONTACTED FORD, AND FORD STATES," DO NOT REPLACE THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND THAT AT THE CURRENT TIME THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ATTEMPTING TO COME UP WITH AN ENGINEERING SOLUTION." *TR
I HAVE A 2010 FORD F150 CREW CAB TRUCK. AN INCIDENT HAPPENED AROUND 3:30PM ON 4 24 2010. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAD 1700 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL STUCK TO THE FLOOR UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE INCREASED SPEED.THE MOTOR REVVED UP TO 7000RPM. I EVENTUALLY PUT IT INTO PARK AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD INTO A PARKING LOT. FORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT INJURED AND NO ACCIDENT OCCURRED. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MAROONE FORD IN MARGATE, FL. IT WAS LOOKED AT BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 4 26 2010. THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND ROAD TESTED IT FOR ONLY 4 MILES AND SAID NO PROBLEM COULD BE FOUND. THEY CALLED ME LATER THAT AFTERNOON AND TO PICK UP MY VEHICLE IN THE MORNING. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE AT ALL DRIVING THE VEHICLE! I DID NOT FEEL THAT THEY TOOK THIS INCIDENT SERIOUSLY. I DECIDED TO GET A SECOND OPINION FROM ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO SAWGRASS FORD IN SUNRISE, FLORIDA (WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE) WHERE THE HEAD OF THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT PERSONALLY TOOK CARE OF ME. HE UNDERSTOOD MY CONCERN AND SAID THAT HE WOULD THOROUGHLY CHECK OUT THE VEHICLE. THEY KEPT THE TRUCK FOR 4 DAYS, TEST DROVE IT FOR OVER 125 MILES, RAN ALL COMPUTERIZED TESTS, AND ALSO PULLED OFF ALL WHEELS AND CHECKED THE BRAKES. THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE INCIDENT. WHEN PICKING UP THE VEHICLE, THE SERVICE MANAGER ASSURED ME THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE. HE ALSO ADMITTED THAT THIS HAD OCCURRED IN OTHER F150 TRUCKS, BUT SAID THEY HAD NEVER TREATED THE PROBLEM AT THEIR DEALERSHIP. AS OF NOW, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR TWO WEEKS WITHOUT INCIDENT. I WANTED TO DOCUMENT WHAT HAPPENED TO ME SHOULD THIS TYPE OF INCIDENT OCCUR AGAIN. *TR
BRAKES ON 2010 F-150 NEED REPLACED WITH UNDER 10,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. *TR
2010 FORD F 150 OFF ROAD CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNT VERY QUICKLY. THE FIRE STARTED UNDER THE PICKUP UNDER THE DRIVERS DOOR AND TOWARDS THE BACK. I AM NOT SURE WHY IT STARTED, I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR 5 WEEKS. WE CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT QUICKLY BUT SINCE I LIVE ON A FARM IT TOOK THE FIRE DEPT ABOUT 25 MINS TO GET OUT TO THE VEHICLE AND BY THAN THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY TOTALED. I NEVER SAW ANY WARNING SIGNS BEFORE THE FIRE. *TR
I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN MARCH 2010. AS SOON I BOUGHT THIS I HEARD A SOUND WHEN I MAKE A TURN. IT'S A SOUND WHEN TWO METAL MAKE FRICTION. I TOOK THE CAR FOR SERVICES IN ALBERIC COLON FORD IN DECEMBER 2010. FIRST THEY SAID THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. AFTER THAT ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR THAT MAKE A TEST DRIVE WITH ME HE HEARD THE SOUND AND THEY KEEP A CAR FOR TWO WEEKS. AFTER THAT AS SOON I TOOK THE CAR OUT I HEARD THE SOUND. I DIDN'T TAKE THE CAR BACK THE CAR FOR SERVICES BECAUSE I NEED A CAR TO GO TO WORK. IN AUGUST 2011 I TOOK THE CAR AGAIN TO THE SERVICE. AGAIN THEY SAID THAT EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. I REQUEST ANOTHER TEST DRIVE WITH A SUPERVISOR AND THE MECHANIC THEY HEARD THE SOUND AND KEEP THE CAR FROM SEPTEMBER 6 2011 TO OCTOBER 6 2011. WHEN THE CAR WAS IN THE SERVICES SOMETIME THEY CALL ME AND SAID THAT'S THEY ARE MAKING SOME TEST DRIVE TO KNOW WHERE IT COME FROM THE SOUND. AFTER A MONTH THEY CALL ME AND SAID THAT FORD SAID THAT IS SOMETHING CHARACTERISTIC IN THIS MODEL. YOU DON''T HAVE TO BE AN ENGINEER TO KNOW THAT WHEN TO METAL MAKE FRICTION ONE OF THEM GOING TO FAIL. I HOPE WHEN THIS HAPPEN I DON''T BE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, BECAUSE I COULD GET KILL OR KILL SOMEBODY ELSE. I HOPE YOU INVESTIGATE THIS COMPLAINT AND FIND WHAT'S WRONG BEFORE ANYBODY GET KILL. THIS IS NOT NORMAL I BEEN DRIVING FOR 28 YEARS AND I'M A 24 YEARS EXPERIENCE STATE POLICE HERE IN PUERTO RICO AND I KNOW WHEN SOMETHING GO WRONG THE DAMAGE CAN MADE. 2010 FORD F-150, DRIVING ON GRAVEL AND ROCK ROAD IN 4H, WIRING HARNESS ON LEFT SIDE BELOW DRIVERS SEAT LAY BELOW THE FRAME RAIL, CAUSING ROAD DEBRIS TO GRAB HARNESS AND RIP/TEAR THE WIRING BUNDLE. *TR
Dash lights do not work. Cannot see any dash gauges. Speed unknown. Dealer says unknown problem. Cannot fix. Non dearer repair shop gives same answer. Not safe to operate. Unknown speed , fuel level etc. also loud thump in transmission , has done this since purchased in 2010. Dealer has looked at this many many times and says nothing wrong. Many complaints on internet about both of these problems.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING A NEW 2010 FORD F-150 WITH FIVE-THOUSAND MILES ON IT. SHE WAS MAKING A RIGHT TURN INTO A DRIVEWAY LEADING TO MY DAUGHTER'S DAY CARE CENTER. WHILE IN THE MIDST OF THE TURN, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. AS A RESULT OF THE ENGINE STALL, THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER, INCLUDING POWER STEERING. A VEHICLE DESCENDING THE HILL FROM THE DAYCARE CENTER HAD TO SWERVE AROUND MY WIFE TO AVOID A COLLISION. WE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER, HOWEVER AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE FOR 17 DAYS THEY HAD A "PORTER" REPORT ONE "HICCUP" WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, HOWEVER THEY REPORTED NO ERROR CODES WERE TRIPPED. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM SO WERE THEREFORE UNABLE TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY WIFE NO LONGER FEELS CONFIDANT IN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AS SHE IS AFRAID IT WILL SUDDENLY STALL FOR NO APPARENT REASON THEREBY ENDANGERING SHE AND OUR CHILDREN AS WELL AS OTHER MOTORISTS AND/OR PEDESTRIANS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150 HEAVY DUTY. THE VEHICLE HAS GOODYEAR WRANGLER SRA TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE TIRE SPLIT IN HALF NEAR THE CENTER DUE TO INCORRECT LABELING OF THE TIRE RATINGS. HE STATED THE TIRES WERE NOT RATED HIGH ENOUGH FOR HIS VEHICLE. THE DEALER ADVISED THEY DID NOT MAINTAIN TIRE ISSUES. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TIRES STATED THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER WAS LIABLE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE ANY ASSISTANCE. ALL TIRES WERE REPLACED AT HIS EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,280 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 12,000. UPDATED 10/27/10. *LJ

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HE ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE THE FRONT BRAKES VIOLENTLY ENGAGED FELT AS IF HE WOULD EJECT FROM THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY ARE AWARE THAT THE FAILURE EXISTS ON SOME OF THE 2010 VEHICLES, BUT IN TIME IT SHOULD CORRECT ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSTIC TEST STATED THAT THE FAILURE DOES EXIST, BUT COULD NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
AGGRESSIVE BRAKING SYSTEM ON 2010 F150 4 X 4. FORD DEEMS THIS TO BE A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC WITH THIS VEHICLE BUT ACCORDING TO THEIR SSM 21458 IT STATES THAT ONLY SOME F150 ARE AFFECTED. IT ALSO STATES IN THE SSM THAT IT CAN GET WORST BEFORE IT GETS BETTER. WHEN BRAKING IT FEELS LIKE YOU HIT THE FRONT BRAKES ON A BIKE. I HAD TWO DEALERS LOOK AT THIS PROBLEM BUT WITH THIS SSM IT STATES THAT THEY CAN NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICE. YET WHEN TALKING TO A SRVC TECH THEY AGREE THE BRAKES ARE NOT WHAT THEY ARE USE TO. LEAVING AND OPINION THAT THEY TO AGREE WITH THE CUSTOMER. IN MY OPINION FORD REALIZES THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WHY ELSE PUT OUT AN SSM THERE MUST OF BEEN PREVIOUS COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE IN ORDER FOR FORD TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS.I CAN SEND YOU A COPY OF THIS SSM IF NEEDED. PLEASE SUPPLY YOUR ADDRESS. THIS ISSUE STARTED WHEN I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE. MY OTHER CONCERN IS, IF MY BRAKES ARE PART OF THE SOME THAT IS NORMAL WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER SOME?? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH THE VEHICLE JERKED FORWARD AND BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON AN INTERMITTENT BASIS WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER ON TWO OCCASIONS WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE COMPUTER SYSTEM WITHIN THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO BE REPAIRED AGAIN. THE APPROXIMATELY FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
A) 03.15.2010. FORD F150 PLATINUM EXTENDED CAB. STEERING IS EXTREMELY STIFF/SPONGY/HARD TO TURN OFF-CENTER. MUST CONSTANTLY FIGHT SIDE WINDS AND ROAD CROWNS. AS IF ONLY 10% POWER ASSISTED. DANGEROUS AS REQUIRED CONSTANT ATTENTION TO STEERING. OTHERS WHO HAVE DRIVEN IT COMMENT THE SAME AND WILL NOT DRIVE TRUCK AGAIN. DEALER CLAIMS IT'S "NORMAL" FOR ALL FORD F150'S WITH NO CORRECTION. DANGEROUS AS WHEN TRANSFERRING TO OTHER VEHICLES WITH FULL POWER ASSIST, ONE OVER-STEERS AND QUICKNESS AND IS DIFFICULT TO RE-ACQUAINT. B) DRIVE LINE/TRANSMISSION/ETC. DOES NOT ENGAGE ON INCLINES, SLIPS & CHATTERS INTO "FULL" ENGAGEMENT, SHUDDERS 1-3 TIMES AT STOPPING & STARTING. FORD DEALER CANNOT LOCATE PROBLEM...NO REPAIR ATTEMPTED. INDEPENDENT TRANS. REPAIR FIRM SAYS IT'S A DRIVE LINE BIND RELEASING...POSSIBLY A DRIVE LINE MISS-ALIGNMENT AT TRANSMISSION OUT-PUT SHAFT SPLINE, AND OR LOOSE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION MOUNTS. DANGER THAT TRANSMISSION MAY DISENGAGE WITHOUT WARNING AT ANY TIME. *TR

AFTER ROLLING MORE THAN ONE FOOT DOWN THE HILL, THE ENGINE STALLED SO THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKES, SHIFTED INTO PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM HAD NOT OCCURRED BEFORE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE SENSOR WHICH CONTROLS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING FAILED TO FUNCTION. AS A RESULT, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN DRIVING IN SHADED AREAS. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS INTENDED. TOLD ME COME BACK WHEN TRANS. TECH AVAILABLE. THEN WROTE MY INVOICE TO READ UNABLE TO DUPLICATE? FORD I BELIEVE HAS ISSUED TALKING POINTS TO ALL LOCATIONS TO COVER UP THE FACT THAT THERE IS PROBLEM! THIS IS SERIOUS BECAUSE MANY TIMES IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION YOU ACCELERATE INSTEAD OF BRAKE. FORD MOTOR CO CHANGED THEIR UNIVERSAL GARAGE DOOR FROM HOMELINK TO CAR2U. WHICH DOES NOT WORK AS THE OWNERS GUIDE STATES. THE OWNERS GUIDE HAS TWO SAFETY WARNING NOT TO PROGRAM INSIDE THE GARAGE. I WAS TOLD TO DISREGARD THAT WARNING. THE ONLY WAY THE CONTROL CAN BE PROGRAMMED IS THE TRUCK HAS TO BE INSIDE THE GARAGE. I THINK IT SHOULD WORK LIKE THE GUIDE SAYS OR REPRINT THE GUIDE. *TR
THE HOOD RELEASE LATCH ON MY 2010 FORD F-150 TRUCK IN ON THE SIDEWALL NEAR THE FLOOR ON THE CAB. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND IT APPEARS THAT MY LEFT FOOT RELEASED THE HOOD RELEASE LATCH AND ALLOWED THE HOOD TO OPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PLACE TO PUT THE HOOD RELEASE LATCH. IT APPARENTLY SNAGGED ON MY SHOE AND WAS PULLED BACK AS I EXITED THE VEHICLE AND I WAS NOT AWARE OF IT AND THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHT TO MAKE THE DRIVER AWARE OF THIS POTENTIAL PROBLEM THAT THE HOOD IS IN THE UNLATCHED CONDITION. ON MY PREVIOUS FORD TRUCKS, THE HOOD RELEASE LATCH WAS MOUNTED AT THE LOWER EDGE OF THE DASH BOARD AND WAS OUT OF THE WAY OF ACCIDENTALLY BEING RELEASED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING MY F150 ON THE INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATLY 70 MPH, IN TEMP AT 33 DEGREES I HEARD A BANG AND OBSERVED MY REAR WINDOW START TO SPIDERWEB ON THE RIGHT SIDE THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER WAS ON TO CLEAR THE BLOWING SNOW OFF THE WINDOW FROM THE BED. *LN
HI, ON MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2010, I TEST DROVE A 2010 FORD 150 SUPERCREW 2WD PICKUP TRUCK (WITH THE SALESMAN). A FEW FEET OUT OF THE DEALER LOT I FLOORED THE ACCELERATOR TO SEE WHAT KIND OF ACCELERATION THE VEHICLE HAD. AFTER RELEASING MY FOOT COMPLETELY FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND APPLYING THE BRAKE, I NOTED THAT THE ACCELERATOR WAS STILL ACTING AS IF IT WAS ABOUT HALF WAY DOWN. I MENTIONED TO THE SALESMAN THAT THE GAS PEDAL WAS STILL DOWN DESPITE MY FOOT BEING OFF OF IT AND ON THE BRAKE. I THEN REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE AND KICKED ON THE FLOOR MAT AREA (I DID NOT REMOVE MY EYES FROM THE ROAD) WITH THE HEAL OF MY FOOT IN A REARWARD MOTION. SUBSEQUENTLY THE STUCK ACCELERATOR BECAME UNSTUCK. I REALLY DON'T KNOW IF THE FLOOR MAT WAS INTERFERING WITH THE PEDAL OR NOT, I JUST KNOW THAT IT WAS STUCK DOWN AND POST MY ACTIONS IT WAS NOT. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE I WOULD FEEL AWFUL IF I SAID NOTHING AND THEN SOMEONE LOST THEIR LIFE BECAUSE OF A POTENTIAL DESIGN FLAW. TW*

AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, I HEARD A VERY LOUD POP, OR BANG INSIDE THE CAR WHICH STARTLED ME AS I WAS DRIVING, AND MADE ME SWERVE A BIT AS I THOUGHT I WAS BEING ATTACKED. THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO GET THE REGULATOR FOR THE WINDOWS, AND I HAD TO DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE TEMPORARY FIX MAY NOT HOLD AND COULD CAUSE THE WINDOW TO SHATTER WHICH MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO PEOPLE. THIS ISSUE IS FROM DATE OF PURCHASE , EXCESSIVE NOISE OR CLATTER IN THE RIGHT FRONT SUSPENSION AS SOMETHING IS LOOSE OR BROKEN. FORD CONTINUES TO CLAIM IT IS THE SHOCKS MAKING NOISE BUT THE SERVICE TECH'S BELIEVE IT IS NOT NORMAL. I HAVE SPENT 6 + MONTHS TRYING TO RESOLVE !! *TR
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SINGLE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN WHICH THE VEHICLE STRUCK A POLE DEAD CENTER ON THE FRONT BUMPER, SPEED APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, COLLAPSING THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS DUE TO THE EXTENSIVE FRONT END DAMAGE. THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS ACCIDENT RESULTED IN FRACTURES TO RIBS, STERNUM, AND 2 VERTEBRAE.
