MY F150 ECOBOOST STALLED TWICE IN THE RAIN WHILE TRYING TO PASS ANOTHER CAR. THE TRUCK LOST ALL POWER WHILE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO PASS A VEHICLE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENED ON I20. THE ENGINE FAILED A COUPLE YEARS BACK IN RAIN AND FORD INSTALLED A SHROUD OVER THE INTERCOOLER. AFTER REPORTING THE SECOND PROBLEM TO THE LOCAL DEALER, FORD INSTALLED A MODIFIED "NEW" SHROUD ON THE INTERCOOLER. THE GOVT PREMATURELY CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION OF F150 ECOBOOST ENGINES THAT HAVE A MAJOR FLAW THAT AFFECT VEHICLE PERFORMANCE. INSTALLING A MODIFIED SHROUD TO FIX A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE IS NOT A SOLUTION. PLEASE REOPEN THE INVESTIGATION FOR THE FORD F150 OWNERS THAT HAVE THE ECOBOOST ENGINE. *TR
STARTED THE TRUCK IN THE MORNING (TEMPERATURE WAS 45) AND THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT AND HAD IT CHECK AND HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED. AFTER THE BATTERY WAS IN, THEY RAN A TEST AND SAID THE ALTERNATOR WAS CHARGING TOO MUCH AND THE LIGHT WILL COME ON AGAIN. SURE ENOUGH AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME BACK ON. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER (APPLE FORD IN RED LION, PA) I PURCHASED IT FROM AND THEY SAID THE ALTERNATOR IS BAD AND CHARGING TOO MUCH. THERE STATED THAT THERE ARE NO AFTER MARKET ALTERNATORS FOR THIS MAKE AND YEAR. SO AFTER PAYING $1055.00 FOR A FORD BRAND ALTERNATOR, THE TRUCK WAS FIXED. THAT IS WAY TOO MUCH MONEY FOR AN ALTERNATOR. IT IS AN OUTRAGE!! I CHECKED AROUND AND I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THE PRICE OF THIS PART IS ACTUALLY THIS EXPENSIVE. I ASKED IF THEY HAVE HEARD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, AND THE ANSWER WAS NO. I HAVE BEEN A FORD OWNER MOST OF MY LIFE, BUT THIS MAY CHANGE MY OPINION ON FORD TRUCKS FOR MY NEXT PURCHASE.
AFTER THE TRUCK HAD BEEN PARKED FOR A WEEK, I STARTED THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED TO MOVE IT. THERE WERE NO BRAKES FOR ABOUT 3-4 MINUTES. EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WOULD BE PARKED OVERNIGHT, THE BRAKES WOULD BE INADEQUATE UNTIL THEY HAD BEEN DEPRESSED SEVERAL TIMES. AFTER THAT, THEY WOULD BE FINE UNTIL IT WAS PARKED FOR MORE THAN A FEW HOURS. ON JUNE 3, I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THEM LOOKED AT. AT THAT TIME, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER HAD A LEAK, AND THEY PROCEEDED TO REPLACE THE BOOSTER AT MY EXPENSE. THEY ARE NOW OPERATING TO MY SATISFACTION.
ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE TO PASS A SLOWER VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY. TRUCK BEGAN SHUDDERING AND IMMEDIATELY DECELERATED TO 50MPH. WOULD NOT RESPOND FOR APPROXIMATELY 75 YARDS, THEN WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 60MPH. TWO VEHICLES (ONE OF THOSE VEHICLES WAS A TRACTOR-TRAILER) FOLLOWING HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID REAR-END COLLISION. EXITED THE HIGHWAY, PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ENGAGED. WEATHER WAS SUNNY AND WARM. NOW VEHICLE IS SHIFTING VERY HARD WITH A DELAYED ENGAGEMENT BETWEEN 55-60MPH. *TR
WHILE TRAVELING A LONG DURATION AT A CONSISTENT MPH, LOW RPM, AND LOW TURBO BOOST PRESSURE I BEGAN TO CLIMB A HILL WHERE MORE ACCELERATION WAS NEEDED TO MAINTAIN MPH. AT TIME THE VEHICLE RAPIDLY SLOWED, ENGINE LIGHT CAM ON, TRIED TO ADD THROTTLE TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY OF APPROACHING TRAFFIC BUT JUST CONTINUED TO SLOW. THIS HAPPENED WHILE TRAVELING FROM LAS VEGAS NEVADA TO RENO NEVADA. I REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM ONLY TO HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN IN LESS THAN 5K MILES IN THE SAME DRIVING CONDITIONS
I HAVE A 2011 FORD F150 FX4 WITH THE POWER REAR SLIDING WINDOW WITH DEFROSTER. THE LED LIGHT DOES NOT WORK TO POWER THE DEFROSTER AND THE REAR WINDOW IS ALSO NOT DEFROSTING. AFTER SEARCHING ON THE INTERNET IF THIS DOES NOT GET REPAIRED THE REAR WINDOW HAS SHATTERED. THE DEALER ADVISED ME THERE WAS NO RECALL AND REPLACEMENT COST WOULD BE $1350. *TR
VACUUM PUMP FAILED AND TRUCK COULD NOT STOP AT INTERSECTION! *TR
LOSS OF POWER. MISSFIRE. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. ECOBOOST 3.5 V6. MOISTURE PROBLEM GETTING IN TO CAUSE PROBLEMS. TURBO COOLER PROBLEM. TRUCK IS IN SERVICE NOW ON DATE ABOVE. *TR
ON SEVERAL DIFFERENT OCCASIONS AFTER STARTING MY FORD F-150 ECOBOOST I EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY STOPPING THE VEHICLE WHEN APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION. MY SPOUSE COMPLAINED THAT THE VEHICLE "TOOK OFF" AFTER SHE PUT THE TRUCK IN REVERSE IN THE DRIVEWAY. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS ISSUE TO THE DEALER ON 3/16/15 SAYING THAT I WAS UNABLE TO STOP AT A STOP SIGN. I TOLD THEM IT FELT LIKE I WAS BEING PUSHED INTO THE INTERSECTION. MY INITIAL FEELING WAS THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERPOWERING THE BRAKES. THE TURBO CAN BE HEARD SPINNING UP AFTER A COLD START. I AM UNSURE IF IT IS REALLY BRAKE OR ENGINE/TRANSMISSION RELATED....UPDATED 09/15/15 *BF UPDATED 10/31/2017*CN
4 MONTHS AGO I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY TRUCK WENT INTO LIMP MODE, WHEN I PULLED OVER IT WAS SHAKING VIOLENTLY WITH A CHECK ENGINE WRENCH ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. I SHUT IT DOWN AND RESTARTED IT A FEW MIN LATER AND IT WAS BACK TO NORMAL. IT WAS ABOUT 1 HOUR INTO MY TRIP AND AROUND 32 - 35 DEGREES OUT, THE ROADS WERE WET FROM SNOW FALL. MY WIFE AND I OWN A HOME IN NH SO I TRAVEL TWO HOURS THERE AND HOME EVERY WEEKEND. I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED THE LIMP MODE AGAIN BUT EVERY TIME ITS WET AND COLD MY TRUCK WILL STALL ON ACCELERATION, WHEN AT A LIGHT, AND WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRUCK WILL STOP ACCELERATING WHEN I TRY TO GIVE IT GAS. AGAIN, THE ONLY COMMON FACTOR WHEN THIS HAPPENS IS THE TEMP AND MOISTURE IN THE AIR, WEATHER ITS RAINING, SNOWING, OR THE ROADS ARE WET. IT WILL HAPPEN ALMOST CONSISTENTLY AT THE 1.5 HOUR MARK OF DRIVING. I'VE BEEN TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE ISSUE AND THEY KEEP SAYING THAT THE COMPUTER ISN'T SHOWING ANY TROUBLES, BUT THIS IS GETTING AGGRAVATING. I HAVE THE 6.2 V8 SO IT OUR ISSUES WE ARE ALL HAVING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ECOBOOST ENGINE. THEY NEED TO START LOOKING INTO SOMETHING THAT BOTH ENGINES HAVE IN COMMON. *TR
WITHOUT WARNING THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN DOWNSHIFTING AND UPSHIFTING BY ITSELF. VEHICLE WENT FROM 5TH GEAR TO THIRD, BACK TO FIFTH AND DOWN TO FIRST. VEHICLE SKIDDED AS A RESULT. BROUGHT PEOPLE TO DEALER. THEY EXPLAINED THAT THERE WAS NOT A RECALL CURRENTLY, BUT THAT THERE WAS A SERVICE NOTICE AND THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED OTHER VEHICLES. *TR
DROVE HOME IN WARM WEATHER. PARKED BACKED INTO THE DRIVEWAY. LEFT PARKED OVERNIGHT AND GOT VERY COLD. WENT TO GO TO WORK IN THE MORNING AND BACK DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WAS SPIDERED. FORD DEALER CLAIMS NO KNOWN ISSUE AND OUT OF WARRANTY. WANT $700 TO REPLACE. I'M DUE TO TURN IN FOR NEW VEHICLE (IT WAS A LEASE). THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE. MODEL XLT SUPERCREW 2011. *TR
BACK GLASS DRIVERS SIDE (THREE PANEL WINDOW WITH DEFROSTER AND SLIDING WINDOW) SHATTERED INTO SPIDER WEB - WHOLE WINDOW. REMOTE STARTED THE CAR IN THE MORNING AND NOTICED PROBLEM LATER IN THE DAY. *TR
WHILE STEERING THROUGH A TURN AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE STEERING SUDDENLY LOCKED UP FOR 2 SECONDS AND THE "SERVICE ADVANCETRACK" MESSAGE CAME ON. THE MESSAGE RESET ITSELF AND DID NOT APPEAR AGAIN FOR 2 DAYS, WHEN THE STEERING LOCKED AGAIN. THIS REPEATED UNTIL THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP IN MARCH OF 2015. IT IS NOW MARCH OF 2016 AND THE STEERING IS STARTING TO LOCK UP AGAIN, THIS TIME AT LOW SPEEDS WHILE PARKING. THE TRUCK WILL BE GOING BACK TO THE DEALER FOR MORE SERVICE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DOWNSHIFTED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CALLED AUTOSAVER FORD (11125 NY-22, COMSTOCK, NY 12821) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE DIAGNOSED OUT OF POCKET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE SAME DEALER AND WAS NOTIFIED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V075000 (POWER TRAIN) WHICH THE CONTACT LINKED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 146,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
TRANSMISSION CLUNKS IN GEAR WITH LIGHT THROTTLE, MAINLY 1 TO 2 TO 3RD AND DOWNSHIFT 3 TO 2 TO 1
WHEN TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR, THE TRANSMISSION WILL AUTOMATICALLY DOWN SHIFT TO AN INAPPROPRIATE GEAR, MOSTLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS , ALTHOUGH IT HAS HAPPENED IN CITY DRIVING. ( I.E.70 MPH TO 4TH GEAR, 55 MPH TO 2ND. ETC.) NOW, ALL THIS DOWNSHIFTING HAS CAUSED THE TRANS TO SLIP, NOT GO IMMEDIATELY INTO GEAR, ETC. FORD HAS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE BUT SAYS MY TRUCK WAS BUILT BEFORE THEY STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS, SO IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. WHEN TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED TO POWER OFF. THE CONTACT HAD TO REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE VEHICLE IN ORDER FOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO SHUT OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 146,000.
I TURNED THE REAR DEFROST ON IN MY 2011 FORD F-150 AND SMELT A BURNING SMELL AND THEN HEARD A POP THE BACK DRIVER SIDE WINDOW TILE HAD SHATTERED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DEFROSTER FAILED TO WORK PROPERLY. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE REAR WINDOW TO FOG, WHICH DIMINISHED THE CONTACT'S VISIBILITY. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,625.
ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHILE BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY IN MY 2011 FORD F150 XLT AS I TURNED MY STEERING WHEEL SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT AND BEGAN BACKING UP MY SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC WARNING LIGHT LIT UP. EACH TIME THE LIGHT WOULD GO AWAY UPON RESTARTING THE TRUCK. THE FORTH TIME IT CAME ON WHILE CONDUCTING A 3 POINT TURN AT SLOW SPEED, HOWEVER THE LIGHT REMAINED ON AND DASH DISPLAYED A PICTURE OF FRONT WHEELS AT HARD LOCK RIGHT READING 37DEGREES OF ANGLE WHILE I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AHEAD. AT THAT TIME MY TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING UNLESS HELD ON. UPON RESTARTING THE TRUCK THE WARNING REMAINED ON AND DISPLAY FAILED TO SHOW CHANGE IN WHEEL POSITION WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL. I BROUGHT IT IN TO DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED AND TWO CODES WERE PRESENT (C1B00 AND U2101). I WAS TOLD VEHICLE NEEDS ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK REPLACED. I THEN LOOKED ISSUE UP AND FOUND THERE IS ALREADY A TSB FOR THIS ISSUE. I FEEL LUCKY THAT THIS ISSUE HAS ONLY OCCURRED AT SLOW SPEEDS OTHERS WERE LESS FORTUNATE AND WERE INVOLVED IN POTENTIALLY DEADLY ACCIDENTS. OTHER ACCOUNTS OF THIS ISSUE BEGAN AS MINE AND PROBLEM PROGRESSED INTO A TOTAL LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND IN ABILITY TO STRAITEN STEERING WHEEL. I FEEL FORD NEEDS TO LOOK FURTHER INTO THIS POTENTIALLY DEADLY ISSUE! *TR
WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANES TO ACCESS INTERSTATE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MOVE THEN SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER. RPM'S WENT UP TO 4000 RPM BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. VEHICLES WERE APPROACHING IN EXCESS OF 50MPH. I MANAGED TO BARELY AVOID BEING STRUCK BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND PULLED TO SIDE OF RAMP. VEHICLE THEN BEGAN TO MOVE AGAIN. TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE. DEALERSHIP PERFORMED TWO FIXES INVOLVING SOME FORM OF AIR DAM. ON 02/24 VEHICLE DID THE SAME THING LUCKILY IN A PARKING LOT THIS TIME. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION WHICH LEAVES NO ERROR CODES SO FAR. I AM SEEING MANY SIMILAR COMPLAIN TS ONLINE. TAKING VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE AGAIN ON 3/3/15 AS THE ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN TODAY 3/2/15. *TR
FOLLOW UP TO COMPLAINT LISTED BELOW (BEGINNING WITH SUMMARY): IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS INCIDENT DID NOT OCCUR IN HUMID OR RAINY CONDITIONS. THIS INCIDENT DID NOT OCCUR WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEED OR WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE STARTING FROM A COMPLETE STOP UNDER LIGHT ACCELERATION TURNING LEFT ACROSS TRAFFIC. VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER AND WOULD NOT MOVE. PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL DID INCREASE ENGINE RPM BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. THE BEHAVIOR EXHIBITED BY THE VEHICLE SOUNDS VERY SIMILAR TO THE CONDENSATION PROBLEM I HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE OF WITH THE 3.5 V6 ECOBOOST. HOWEVER NONE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES FORD CLAIMS CAUSES THE ISSUE EXISTED. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION. WEATHER WAS APPROXIMATELY 15 DEGREES AND SUNNY. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE PROBLEM WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN COLD AND AFTER IT HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR A WHILE. SUMMARY: WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS ONCOMING TRAFFIC LANES TO ACCESS INTERSTATE VEHICLE BEGAN TO MOVE THEN SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER. RPM'S WENT UP TO 4000 RPM BUT VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCK IN SEVERAL TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND FORD REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I CAN BE AT A TOTAL STOP WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE NOISE IT IS ALMOST AS IF SOMEBODY HAS RAN INTO ME. REAR AXLE AND DRIVE TRAIN ARE ALSO MAKING NOISES. I HAVE ATTACHED A DOCUMENT THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM ROD BAKER FORD FOR HOW MANY TIMES THE TRUCK WAS BROUGHT IN.

IN ADDITION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE UNDER THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000. UPDATE 01/13/16 MA *CN
TURNED ON THE REMOTE START WHICH APPARENTLY HAS A FACTORY SETTING THAT THE REAR DEFROST AUTOMATICALLY COMES ON. COME OUT TO THE VEHICLE AND THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR SLIDER IS SHATTERED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO BOOST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO PULL IN MY DRIVEWAY AND THE STEERING WENT OUT, ALMOST TOOK OUT MY WIFES CAR. SERVICE STEERING NOW CAME ON. PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK, TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. A WEEK OR TWO BEFORE THE INCIDENT I NOTICED THAT THE LIGHT ON THE REAR DEFROST BUTTON NO LONGER TURNED ON WHEN THE REAR DEFROST BUTTON WAS PRESSED. I WASN'T SURE IF THE REAR DEFROST WAS WORKING OR NOT. ON THE MORNING OF THE INCIDENT IT WAS COOL OUTSIDE AND THE WINDOWS WERE FROSTY. I PRESSED THE REAR DEFROST BUTTON AFTER STARTING THE TRUCK AND IT ONCE AGAIN DID NOT LIGHT UP. I STARTED DRIVING TO WORK WITH MY TWO KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT. AFTER DRIVING A COUPLE MILES I HEARD A LOUD NOISE AS IF SOMETHING HAD HIT THE TRUCK. I LOOKED IN ALL THE MIRRORS TO FIND WHAT HAD HIT THE TRUCK AND NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE REAR WINDOW HAD SHATTERED. IT HADN'T FALLEN OUT OF THE FRAME, BUT WAS SPIDER-WEBBED THROUGHOUT. WHEN I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID HE HAD SEEN 5 OTHER 2010-2011 F-150'S JUST THIS WINTER WITH THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE. FROM OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT I'VE READ THE WINDOW DOES SOMETIMES SHATTER OUT OF THE FRAME AND INTO THE CAB OF THE TRUCK. AT MY HOUSE, THE DRIVEWAY IS SLOPED. I HAD JUST PARKED THE TRUCK, TURNED THE ENGINE OFF, BUT LEFT KEY IN ACCESSORY POSITION. MY TWO DAUGHTERS WERE IN BACK SEAT (3 AND 8 YEARS OLD) WATCHING A MOVIE. I WALKED INTO MY GARAGE TO DROP OFF COFFEE, WENT BACK TO THE TRUCK TO RETRIEVE PASTRIES AND THEN WALKED THEM INTO GARAGE. I WAS OUT OF THE TRUCK FOR 3-4 MINUTES. I WENT BACK TO TRUCK AND TOOK MY THREE YEAR OLD OUT OF HER CAR SEAT. SHE SITS IN REAR SEAT, PASSENGER SIDE. I HAD HER IN MY ARMS WHEN I OPENED PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR, REACHED ACROSS TO REMOVE KEYS. WHEN I REMOVED THE KEYS FROM THE IGNITION THE TRUCK BEGAN ROLLING DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. THE TRUCK WAS MAKING A METAL CLICKING SOUND THE ENTIRE TIME IT WAS ROLLING. TRUCK ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY, ACROSS THE STREET AND INTO THE NEIGHBORS YARD. THEIR TREE STOPPED THE TRUCK FROM ROLLING FURTHER INTO THE YARD AND THEIR HOUSE. THE TRUCK WAS STILL IN PARK WHEN I WENT INSIDE TO START IT BACK UP TO MOVE IT BACK INTO THE DRIVEWAY. I DROVE IT THE FORD DEALER ABOUT AN HOUR LATER. FORD DEALER AND FOMOCO WERE INVOLVED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. EVENTUALLY A 'SPECIALIST' WAS FLOWN IN TO LOOK AT TRUCK. IN THE END, THEY CLAIM THERE ARE NO MECHANICAL DEFAULTS AND THEREFORE, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE. THEY ARE UNABLE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS AS TO HOW THE TRUCK DID NOT MOVE FOR THE 3-4 MINUTES IT WAS ON THE DRIVEWAY WHEN I WAS BACK AND FORTH TO THE GARAGE. THEY ALSO HAVE NO EXPLANATION FOR HOW THE TRUCK ROLLED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS STILL IN PARK WHEN THIS HAPPENED. END RESULTS IS FORD CLAIMS THEY NEVER REPAIRED OR MODIFIED MY TRUCK. I HAVE NO WAY TO PROVE THEY DID OR DID NOT REPAIR ANYTHING DURING THE PERIODS OF TIME THEY HAD MY TRUCK IN THEIR POSSESSION. *TR

IT SHOULD BE KNOWN THAT MANY MORE VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED BEYOND THE INITIAL RECALL.
