Driving along on freeway and vehicle immediately shut down in the middle lane. From my investigation I found out Ford issued a TSB (15-0137) indicating crank no start, loss of RPM. This vehicle shut down and failure had put me at risk on a freeway where everyone is doing 65 miles an hour at night. My findings after pulling the melted fuse out and putting it back in the vehicle started up. My concern is that Fort has a TSB on this however vehicle shutting down on the freeway is a definite safety concern. Dealer wants $300 For this repair because it is not a recall. It is just a TSB. However, the other sad factor is the TSB kit to do the repair is $45 plus $280 for the repair.
I left my house going to the store about a mile and never made it my 2013F150 5.0 engine caught on fire about a block behind the Saratoga txfire department before they could make it the truck front end burnt to the ground and melted hood plum off of it for no reason at all total loss
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after the purchase. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 96,000. It was later discovered that the mileage on the Title was 189,556.
The incident occurred while entering a limited access roadway. I was accelerating and merging into the main lane of travel. As I was accelerating, the engine cut off and several warning lights appeared. The Check Engine light came on first, followed by the Check Battery light. As a result of the loss of power, the vehicle behind me almost rear-ended my vehicle. I was able to roll to the side of the highway to the emergency breakdown lane without engine power. I have subsequently had the car inspected by a mechanic. The root cause of the loss of power was related to a cracked fuseblock mounted above the radiator in the middle of the truck. The mechanic indicated that he has seen several of these fuseblocks failing due to cracks. Leading up to the incident, the truck has experienced intermittent issues starting. The engine will crank, but it does not run. After tapping the fuseblock mounted above the radiator, the engine would run.
Fuse number 75 in power distribution box in engine compartment getting hot and melting not blowing the fuse but swelling and breaking contact therefore cause all lights to flash on the dash or nothing at all. Can be fine when parked but upon the next time you go to start it is when it can happen. No warning. First time happened 8/18/25. Next time was 1/3/26

You will be driving down the road and it would downshift gears you guys have a recall on this already but my truck doesn't qualify for it apparently the downshifting is periodically it's not consistent
Seems to be a defect with the rear door saying it is ajar on the display screen also it wound lock or u lock with the key fob or PIN code. I have confirmed the door is completely shut. Defective wiring harness or something else may be the issue.
When putting truck in Reverse... Back-Up Camera goes Blank(Black-Out)
2013 F-150 subject to Customer Satisfaction Program 19N01, Transmission Molded Leadframe Extended Coverage. Speedometer went to zero, airbag light illuminated, truck downshifted on its own with a sudden lunging feeling, as if I got rear ended. Wrench icon illuminated. Truck would not shift properly. Mileage indication went blank. I was doing 55 mph on the highway with other vehicles around me. Caused me to have to make an abrupt stop and almost caused an accident. Definitely put my safety and others at risk. Problem happened 3 times during my 1 trip. Was able to correct by turning vehicle off then back on. Can be reproduced easily. Not confirmed by dealer or maintenance tech, or inspected by anyone because I am afraid to drive it. There were no warning signs or symptoms before problem occured.
As I was pulling out onto the road it died blocking a 2 lane road at around 5AM so was pitch black luckily cars where paying attention & saw me I was able to roll it back off the road. Had a mechanic look at it after being towed back home he noticed fuse 27 was melted that is fuse for the fuel pump. Currently awaiting how much it will be to fix.
The lead frame on my truck has began to fail. Throwing the code p-0722. Yes it would be available for inspection upon request. The lead frame failing causes the truck to shift erratically. This was almost life ending when it shifted gears on the I-44 going 70 MPH. Nearly ending my life and that of my passenger. The problem has been reproduced by an independent service center. No it hasn't been inspected by police, insurance, manufacturer. No there were no warning lights before hand.
Due to an unresolved issue that Ford motor company is aware of with the Transmission “Molded Lead Frame” the truck will drop down into 1st gear from highway speeds and causes a huge safety concern if there should be someone traveling behind me. The speedometer will stop working as well as the mileage will disappear off the screen/all other information will go blank. I will have to stop the truck, turn it off and back on again and it will drive normal. When I bring to dealer; they state ford should be covering this issue: when I contact ford I am offered no assistance or remedies. They referred me to bring this safety issue to your attention. It is very concerning and I cannot afford another car at the moment.
My vehicle's transmission is suddenly downshifting and should be included in the recall
Vehicle would not start and left me stranded. There seems to be a known problem with the fuse opening on the ignition system that is contributed to poor engineering on Fords part. There is a bulletin within Ford on repair. This is a tremendous safety problem.
Vehicle have been parked for 5days and no power when returned to open door or start vehicle. No power on dash.Installed new battery, had it programmed to vehicle and started.1 month later and same issue again. No power, remote won't work either.
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the front driver's side door lock master switch was inoperable. The contact replaced the door lock fuse, and the switch became functional; however, the failure recurred. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
I took my 2013 Ford F150 in on Feb. 15, 2019 due to a recall. They reprogrammed the software, only took a few minutes. This is recall #19S07. It was due to the truck possibly shifting from any gear into first gear suddenly. Very dangerous. I did not have that problem before or since the recall until one week ago. Pulling onto the highway, RPM's went very high (3500-4000) even though I was only going est. 25 MPH. My speedometer showed "0". This problem comes and goes and now I feel completely unsafe driving my truck. I contacted Ford customer service and I do not think they will fix this unless I cover the tab. I feel that this is unfair. I have taken it in and left it all day but they did not get to it, my local Ford dealer is out until mid November for service. My truck now gets stuck in first gear or downshifts into first gear and the instrument display goes wacky, no speedometer, etc. I noticed a green wrench icon light up yesterday when this happened. Over 1.2 million F-150's had this problem. Over 100,000 trucks did not receive the proper PCU reprogram and need new reprogramming. I believe my truck is one of these as I am now having the exact issues that the recall was supposed to solve. Fortunately, I have not been travelling at high speeds when this happens but this problem can cause the transmission to shift from any gear at any speed into first gear, which could be life threatening. According to Ford, it is the powertrain control module software that causes this problem. Trucks built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, 4/28, 2010 to 10/28, 2013 and Kansas City Assembly Plant, 5/18, 2010 to 11/18, 2013 have this problem. My truck's manufacture date is March 2013 so it falls into both of these timeframes. I feel that this is a severe safety issue and could result in serious injury or even death. I think that because the 2019 service recall did not solve the issue, since my truck has these exact things going on with it, Ford is responsible. Thnx
I was traveling 55 mph on highway when without any warning or hesitation the truck on its own down shifted to 2nd gear, resulting in the rear end of truck to swing all the way around turning me a whole 45 degrees! I was very lucky to have been able to pull out of the fish tailing act caused by the down shifted at such a high speed. I had to tow it home from there bc the transmission would then be stuck in 5th gear and randomly shift to 2nd with a bad jerking motion. My local ford dealership told me the recall has expired for my truck?!?!?
My 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor experienced the failure condition described in TSB 15-0137 causing sudden and complete loss of power, with no previous warnings, due to the fuel pump relay fuse holder melting and the fuel pump abruptly shutting off. This occurred while my son was driving the vehicle and while he did an admirable job of getting the truck off to the shoulder with no power, he was nevertheless on a freeway onramp around a blind turn with a merge where drivers were attempting to accelerate to highway speed, thus placing him in a dangerous situation for the hour or so it took to get a tow to the Ford dealer for repair. This failure mode (and subsequent repair) has had a TSB for 9 years and clearly has the ability to cause a safety concern, as it did in this case. Had I known about this TSB, I would have implemented it proactively given the severity of the potential failure and the high likelihood for it causing a safety issue. There are already dozens of complaints on this exact topic in NHTSA's database. Please consider elevating this safety-related defect to a full recall.
