THE COMPUTER FUSE FOR THE FUEL PUMP HAS BLOWN THREE FUSES AND 2 FUEL PUMPS WITHIN 12,000 MILES.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and hauling a trailer, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted into first gear. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that the failure had damaged the engine, and the engine was replaced. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V444000 (Power Train). The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that several months later, the vehicle made abnormal grinding and howling sounds while driving. The vehicle was taken to Ken Garff Ford Ft. Collins (4809 S College Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525), and it was determined that the abnormal sounds were coming from the rear differential. The dealer replaced the rear ring and pinion gears, as well as the bearings. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and reimbursed the contact for the engine replacement. The contact was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was 95,213.
While any driving conditions or speeds for no reason at all abs, traction, emergency brake system warning lamps come on. My brakes are good. Took truck to a shop and had brakes inspected and nothing is wrong with the brake system. When turn off vehicle and restart warning lamps turn off. Sometimes the check electronic differential warning lamps comes on with the 3 brake warning lamps.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle downshifted to first gear, causing the rear wheels to lock up and the vehicle to slide. The contact stated that the wrench warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the lead frame and valve body assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
Vehicle lost brake pressure warning lights illuminated and got message saying brake fluid is low. Was able to get stopped with minimal brake pressure and found master cylinder empty. Completely filled it made it a few miles down road and it happened again no visible leaks anywhere appears to be losing fluid internally.
Was driving down the road about 45 mph and the automatic transmission suddenly downshifted to 1st gear out of nowhere causing the back tires to skid
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle shook abnormally and lost motive power. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle slowly regained motive power. The contact stated that the wrench symbol was displayed, and the speedometer and fuel gauge became inoperable. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had occurred several times. The contact stated that after one failure he pulled over and turned off and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle returned to normal operation. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who retrieved DTC code: P0722 (Sensor no Signal lead assembly). The contact was informed that the lead assembly and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired and the contact was referred to a dealer by the mechanic. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online ad related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 19N01 - Transmission Molded Leadframe (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
Throttle body failure causes truck to go into 'limp-home' mode, meaning a significant reduction in acceleration occurs without warning. This is extremely dangerous when driving at highway speeds, turning with oncoming traffic, ect. Many times we must pull over and the truck has to be turned off for several minutes, before we can start it again and continue on our journey. $800+ repair cost is what we were quoted today by the local Ford dealership. Ridiculous! This is a known issue with other 2014 Ford models, but not covered under CSP 13N03. Why is that? Many complaints and two class action lawsuits in California that are pending and it seems like NOBODY cares.
2014 F-150 has issues with shifting while driving and losing voltage to the transmission lead frame. Safety issue for driving and changing to incorrect gears. When stationary in park, the truck will not start due to loss of voltage and parking sensor issues. Odometer display shows wrench icon shows while driving. Error codes P0706 and P0707 codes show up while driving. Ford dealership has done diagnostics and has determined the problem is the Transmission Molded Lead Frame Electrical Failure. They have reported that this is a common issue.
At speed transmission will randomly downshift/mis-shift and speedometer reading will become inaccurate and vehicle upon downshift will drop speed suddenly as a result of engaging lower gear resulting sudden shuttering of vehicle and potential risk of being rear ended
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at slow speeds, the power steering became inoperable. The contact disconnected and then reconnected the battery. The power steering fault message was displayed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V316000 (Steering) but the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 91,000.
About 3 weeks ago, I started having issues with the truck where the tachometer would jump to redline at the same time the speedometer would drop to 0 driving at 30-40 MPH. The rear wheels locked up twice. This has happened 3 more times since it started 3 weeks ago. The code that came up on the truck was P0720, which is the output speed sensor. Ford issued a recall on 2011-2013 year models for the exact same issue. Mine is a 2014 model with the same exact transmission (6R80) having the exact same problem as the recall models. Luckily the issue hasn't caused an accident for me. That of course can change if it happens again before I am able to get it repaired. Today when it happened I was on the highway driving 65-70 MPH fortunately the rear wheels did not lock up. A wrench symbol appears on the odometer which is "LIMP MODE" and began decelerating on a highway with moderate traffic that could've caused an accident because I couldn't accelerate. I have 30 plus years of driving experience. This situation is very dangerous especially for inexperienced drivers even worse with drivers being distracted with their phones these days.
Driving on the freeway, speedometer starts randomly sensing different speeds like the output speed sensor is not reading correctly. Transmission then downshifts to the speed that the OSS is reading and downshifts to 1st gear while im driving on the freeway going 65mph. It was so abrupt that it locked the differential and chirped the tires, again all while going freeway speeds in traffic! Could have gotten rear ended or caused an accident. I will be taking to Ford to see what they say but i shouldnt have to pay a dime for manufacturing defect and safety issue.
I recieved a Text message months after this happened. They knew about it a month prior. I could have saved alot if they had done there job. Nit following procedures. It says in writing. I was coming to a intersection, proceeding to stop, and it would not let me. I was standing on the brake peddle with both feet( I am 275lb, 6'7 ,) I ran into back of van, was Sued, and my insurance went up. I lost not one but 2 raptors to the same issue. The second one I rolled. 2012
Vehicle failed annual State (VA) safety inspection on 7/13/2023 due to Power Brake Booster issue. I see there is a recall out (NSTA#20V332) on Ford F150 for this issue but not on my VIN. Brakes are mushy and stopping time is increased.
I was driving in the highway at 65mph when suddenly the transmission shifted to 1st gear, almost causing a serious accident. There are several reports of the same problem in the internet., Ford did a recall for the 2011-2013 models but not for the 2014 which have the same components.
Unexpexted Brake failure had to pump brakes to get vehicle to stop. Would have caused accident in roadway if not for driving it into rumble strip to stop. Scary experience, towed it to get brakes repaired. No weather conditions on road.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the power steering assist failed to operate as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed the power steering assist failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V316000 (Steering) which he linked to the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
I was driving down the highway at about 75 miles an hour and the vehicle slipped gears likely down to 1st. The rear wheels locked and the vehicle jolted almost as if I had run into something. After that it carried on normally. There were no indicator lights or errors that popped up. It came completely without warning. I took the vehicle in to a local mechanic. They serviced the transmission but did not find any reason for the vehicle to have dropped gears like that. About three days after getting the vehicle back I was again driving down the highway at about 75 miles an hour, the wrench light came on, my speedometer dropped to zero, my odometer cleared, and my gas/mpg cleared all while the vehicle continued down the highway. The airbag light also illuminated and stayed on but the wrench light turned back off again. I pulled over and restarted the vehicle and everything cleared and the vehicle continued as normal. It drove normally for the rest of my drive as well as my drive home. The next morning it did the same thing. As others have mentioned this is a clear safety issue as instruments are just shutting down as the vehicle moves at a high rate of speed and I have to keep pulling over and restarting the vehicle. I luckily have been in areas of low traffic as all of these issues have occurred but there could have been a number of different outcomes had the vehicle locked up while in a higher traffic area traffic. I do not feel that the vehicle is safe to operate and having just had it serviced at two mechanics and neither finding any major issues to cause these problems, I feel that this is a major safety issue with the vehicle itself.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed, and the brake seized and became inoperable. The contact was able to stop them by continuing to depress the brake pedal. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder and booster pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that she was informed by the manufacturer that a recall repair was completed in December 2016 and that the warranty had expired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 159,834.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while pulling out of a parking space and attempting to a stop the vehicle, the brake pedal depressed down to the floorboard and the vehicle failed to come to a complete stop. The contact went to the local dealer and ordered the parts for the repair. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, Dick Masheter Ford Inc. (1090 S Hamilton Rd, Columbus, OH 43227), where it was diagnosed that the lead frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V433000 (Power Train). The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.
Catastrophic failure of automatic transmission cooler lines after passing through deep puddle. This resulted in immediate loss of power while on 4 lane divided highway. The lack of power and the inability maintain consistent speed placed both me and other drivers in a hazardous situation. In addition the need to have to have the truck towed placed others in harms way. Ford dealer inspected and confirmed complete rupture of transmission line near transmission cooler. In addition, an insurance appraisal was also performed. There were no indications of transmission problems prior to hitting the puddle, no warning lights, transmission temperature was normal, no visible leaks or drips under the truck, and no problems with shifting up or down.
Critical failure of the 6R80 transmission oil cooler lines causing rapid loss of control of speed and drivability.
I am reporting an odometer rollback that occurred before I purchased my vehicle. CARFAX shows the vehicle had 206,627 miles when it was sold at an auto auction on February 27, 2023. Four months later, in June 2023, the vehicle was retitled in Illinois at 69,000 miles. The odometer reading at my first service visit on June 26, 2023 also showed 68,380 miles. This is a discrepancy of approximately 138,000 miles, which indicates the odometer was rolled back sometime between the auction sale and the Illinois title issuance. I purchased the vehicle in June 2023 without knowing the mileage had been altered. The issue affects the accuracy of the vehicle’s history and could impact safety and maintenance expectations. I am reporting this so the rollback can be documented and investigated by the appropriate authorities.

Driving at freeway speed the transmission jumped into 1st gear and the rear differential locked, causing me to swerve and have to take avoiding action in hitting another vehicle. At the same time a check engine light and wrench symbol illuminated in the dash. Upon Diagnosis at my local Ford dealer the memory shows the code PO718 which is a turbine fault on the transmission sensor. This is a Similar fault found on other F150’s which have been covered by the lead frame replacement program. Ford have informed me that they will not conduct the repair because my VIN has not been recorded as being affected. Clearly the fault has occurred and I need assistance to repair my truck.
2014 ford f150 raptor, built in 11/13 in Dearborn Michigan plant. Driving down wet highway in slow lane doing 55mph, speedometer goes to 0, airbag light illuminates, odometer changes to dashes, wrench light comes on, transmission downshifted locking up my wheels. My truck is totaled and i could have died. Another car is totaled as well. This is the same defect as the 09-13 recalls. Speed sensor in lead frame failure. Ford did not notify me and is not notifying other 2014 f150 owners. Please help [XXX], [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Truck downshifted today while doing 57 mph, speedometer went to 0, rear tires locked up sending truck into spin on i 35 southbound in lewisville texas. Striking another car and hitting concrete barrier. Road was wet, no shoulders.
Vehicle will go into limp mode as if the throttle body is not working properly. I have to coast to the side of the road ,turn off engine and let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes before restarting.
Downshift CRASH of truck, oss failure, i have video, built 11/13, 2014 ford raptor with 6r80 transmission. Ford refuses to pay for lead frame replacement. Injuries and truck has over 10k in damage, another car was totalled and man injured. This OSS defect is deadly. Need help.
The rear-view camera began working intermittently, and displaying a scrambled image when it did not work. It then stopped working all together and now only displays a blank screen. This began about 2 years ago, and it finally stopped working altogether about 1 year ago. I want to report it because the current rear-view camera recall stops at the 2015 model year, but my 2014 has the same problem.
While backing up my truck the camera went out, so I turned the truck off and left it where I could. Luckily I safely in my driveway far enough. The next morning I went out and came back I tried backing in and the camera had reversed the whole image of the output (everything behind me was opposite). This is very dangerous if in a public area with kids or cars.
The truck will jump from sixth gear to first gear, or will go from first gear straight to fifth and be stuck in fifth , or be stuck in first, the truck will randomly take off on its own or come to a screeching stop on highways going 60 mph, the gear indicator will stop working, alongside all other gauges on the dash, such as gas mileage, RPM, speedometer, heat and oil gauge will all stop working, when the vehicle is pulled over and shut off, it will start normal and run normal for a short amount of time.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50-70 MPH, the vehicle decelerated to 0. When the battery dies and the vehicle doors are locked you can not unlock the door with the physical key. Doors will not open. I am thankful I was not inside or I would have to break the window to get out.
This has happened twice now. Driving to work accelerating after a red light and the truck losses all power, but stays running. To get it to operate normal you have to pull over shift into park, turn the truck off and wait a couple of moments. The truck will retire and drive like nothing happened. Trick has 78k miles and always maintained at local ford dealer
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at undisclosed speeds, the front of the vehicle was shaking abnormally. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the leadframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. RE: Safety Recall 16S24 Why is my 2014 F-150 not covered under Ford's safety recall (16S24) of a defective brake master cylinder? 16S24 covers defective master cylinders for the 3.5L V-6 Ecoboost engine, but not the 3.7L V-6 engine. Upon further research, it appears that both the aforementioned engines use the same master cylinder. See Motorcraft part no. BRMC203 (Brake Master Cylinder). According to Ford, the master cylinders' rear seal fails, thus leaking brake fluid into the attached brake power booster which causes pedal fatigue and possible loss of front brakes. My F-150 has a 3.7L V-6 engine, which is not covered under the recall. However, my F-150 is exhibiting the same master cylinder failure as is referenced in 16S24. My master cylinder has leaked into the power booster and the vacuum line attached the power booster has siphoned all brake fluid into the engine (approximately 60 ounces). The engine then expelled said brake fluid into the exhaust system causing white smoke to emit from the tail pipe. Please contact me at [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed and extended to the floorboard. The vehicle failed to stop immediately, causing the braking distance to be extended. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced, and the brake master cylinder and vacuum pump were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 52,000.
While driving down the highway, the transmission line rapidly failed and caused the vehicle to stop the motor. This was a sudden and rapid loss of transmission fluid and we were very lucky to be able to control the vehicle over to the side of the road. There were ZERO indicator lights to indicate a transmission fluid leak or issue prior to this sudden issue. When researching online, a Ford Certified Technician confirms that there is one VERY specific place on the transmission lines that ALWAYS breaks on the 6R80 transmissions. It is where the line bends upward to an aluminium quick connect that has failed and does fail on a LOT of these vehicles. Photographic evidence sent to me by my mechanic proved that my lines failed in the exact same place. The video of this issue that was posted by a Ford technician can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=xk8tBqh0Q7Y This is a huge safety issue as there is no warning before this fitting fails entirely. We were extremely lucky we were able to get to the side of the road safely.
After they replaced my transmission lines, my transmission slams into 4th gear and sometimes 5th gear. They said it was a manufacturer defect. I'm waiting for it to give out. I can't afford a new one.
Transmission erratic shifting. Downshift to first gear on highway.
While driving at approximately 53mph a second incident at 40mph the transmission dropped into what seemed like 1st gear for a split second momentarily locking up the rear wheels. Safety is at risk from loss of control, or causing an accident form sudden deceleration. No prior warning of any pending issues. Truck is being towed to repair facility today.
