TRUCK PULLS TO THE LEFT, PULLS TO THE RIGHT, STEERING WHEEL BINDS, STEERING GOES AGAINST ITSELF, PULSATIONS IN THE STEERING. TRUCK IS HARD TO DRIVE. THE TRUCK HAS DRIVEN ME OFF THE ROAD. THE TRUCK HAS HAD 3 ALIGNMENTS, STEERING GEAR HAS BEEN REPLACED, TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN PERFORMED ON POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE. 2 WEEKS AFTER IT HAD ALIGNMENT AND TSB PERFORMED, FORD ENGINEER CONFIRMED STEERING PROBLEM. FORD ENGINEER SAID TO DO ANOTHER ALIGNMENT. FORD CAN NOT FIX THE PROBLEM AND REFUSES. THIS TRUCK IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE REPORTED THIS STEERING PROBLEM TO FORD AND NHSTA NUMEROUS TIMES. THIS TRUCK SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE ROAD. I SHOULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO PUT MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS AT RISK WITH THIS TRUCK. PLEASE HELP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD F-150. DUE TO THE AUTO STOP/START FEATURE INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE, THERE WAS A DELAY IN THE POWER STEERING FEATURE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN. KELLER FORD INC (LOCATED AT 3385 ALPINE AVE NW, GRAND RAPIDS, MI 49544, (616) 784-6600) WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-17380347-F3K9T3. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,000.
MY TRUCK HAS HAD 3 ALIGNMENTS, REPLACEMENT OF STEERING GEAR, PROGRAM UPDATE ON POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE, STEERING WHEEL MOVED, AND TIRES THAT HAVE FAILED TREAD TEST, AND I HAVE FILED COMPLAINTS ON THIS NHTSA WEBSITE FOR SAME STEERING ISSUES WHICH ARE: (AND FORD ENGINEER COMFIRMED) PULLS LEFT AND PULLS RIGHT, BINDS, STEERING FIGHTS AGAINST ITSELF AND STILL AFTER ALL THE WORK AND TRIPS TO DEALERSHIP THE TRUCK IS STILL DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AND NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR NHTSA TO HELP GET THIS TRUCK OFF THE ROAD? DOES SOMEONE NEED TO GET HURT OR KILLED 1ST?
AFTER A PERIOD OF TOWING A 5200# TRAILER THE 2.7L ECOBOOST ENGINE WOULD STALL WHEN NOT THROTTLING. MEANING, ANYTIME SLOWING DOWN OR STOPPING THE ENGINE WOULD CUT OFF UNEXPECTEDLY, FORCING A MANUAL RESTART. THE TRUCK DID RESTART IF THE THROTTLE WAS HELD IN PUSHING GAS AND THEN THROWING THE TRUCK INTO DRIVE GEAR TO MOVE, HOWEVER THE THROTTLE WOULD HAVE TO CONTINUE TO BE PUSHING IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN POWER. THIS OCCURRED AT 30+ MPH IN SLOWING DOWN FOR ACCIDENT/CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC AS WELL AS EVERY TIME STOPPING FOR LIGHTS OR GAS. ISSUE OCCURRED MANY TIMES DURING TRIP, BUT ONLY WHILE TOWING. AFTER DISCONNECTING TRAILER AND ALLOWING VEHICLE TO COOL/REST FOR AN HOUR ISSUE DID NOT RETURN UNTIL AFTER RUNNING WITH TRAILER BEING TOWED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AGAIN.
MY DOOR LATCHES/LOCKS SEEM TO BE FREEZING. MY REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH CLOSED AND MY DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK.
I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH ERRORS/FAILED SENSORS FOR THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM ON THIS VEHICLE. AFTER 2 TRIPS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND CHANGING 2 SENSORS THE ISSUE WAS STILL PRESENT. I ACCIDENTALLY IDENTIFIED THE SOURCE OF THE ISSUE - INTERFERENCE FROM A DASHCAM - A REXING V1P PRO 3RD GENERATION. MEASURED ON A SPECTRUM ANALYZER THIS INTERFERENCE IS AT 312 MHZ AT AROUND (-78 DBM 1 M FROM THE DASHCAM) WHILE THE TPMS SENSORS OPERATE AROUND 315 MHZ AND MEASURE AROUND -82 DBM AT THE SAME LOCATION. THIS LEVEL OF INTERFERENCE (EVEN IF IT IS IN EXCESS OF FCC PART 15 EMISSIONS - AND I WILL BE CHECKING WITH THE FCC ALSO) AT THIS KIND OF FREQUENCY SEPARATION SHOULD NOT CAUSE ERRORS OR A FAILURE IN THE TPMS MONITORING SYSTEM. ALSO OF CONCERN IS THAT THE ERRORS DO NO SHOW UP FOR 45 MIN-1 HR OF DRIVING DESPITE TPMS DATA FROM ONE OR MORE WHEEL NOT BEING RECEIVED FOR THIS DURATION (CONFIRMED THROUGH ODBII DATA). THIS ALL POINTS TO A POORLY/CHEAPLY DESIGNED TPMS RECEIVER MODULE THAT IS PRONE TO FAILURE IF EXPOSED TO RF FROM ANY NUMBER OF DEVICES. I AM ALSO AN AMATEUR RADIO OPERATOR AND DO 2-WAY RADIO WORK FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SO IT CONCERNS ME THAT EVEN NORMAL LMR OPERATION IN ONE OF THESE VEHICLES COULD CAUSE A SAFETY ISSUE. THE TPMS RECEIVER SHOULD BE TESTED FOR REASONABLE RELIABILITY IN THE PRESENCE OF RF IN ADJACENT SPECTRUM AND RECALLED IF NOT COMPLIANT WITH FCC PART 15 OR NHTSA OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS. THE DEALER/MANUFACTURER HAVE REFUSED TO EVEN LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE BEYOND WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY DONE AT THE DEALERSHIP.
THE KEY FOB FOR OUR NEW F150 HAS BROKEN ALREADY. IT WAS ONLY 2 MONTHS OLD AND THE METAL PART THAT HOLDS THE KEY RING CAME OFF. THIS SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED AFTER ONLY 2 MONTHS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAYS IT IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR AND WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE. IF THE FOB FALLS OFF THE KEY RING BECAUSE IT WAS NOT GLUES ON PROPERLY, YOU CAN LOSE YOUR KEY. WORSE, SOMEONE COULD FIND IT, PRESS THE LOCK OR PANIC BUTTON TO FIND YOUR CAR AND THEN STEAL YOUR CAR. I THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND COMPROMISES THE SECURITY OF THE CAR. IT ALSO LEAVES YOU WITHOUT A KEY IF IT FALLS OFF. IF YOU DO MANAGE TO SEE IT HAPPEN, THEN YOU ARE STUCK WITH A BROKEN FOB AFTER OWNING YOUR NEW CAR FOR ONLY 2 MONTHS. ONE OTHER NOTE ON THE WEAR AND TEAR. IT WAS SOLD NEW BUT HAD ABOUT 2000 MILES ALREADY ON IT. SO, THE WEAR AND TEAR COULD HAVE OCCURRED WHILE THE DEALER HAD POSSESSION.
MY DRIVER DOOR LATCH WAS FROZEN AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT PROPERLY LATCH CLOSED. I HAD TO DRIVE 26 MILES, 98% INTERSTATE (70MPH), HOLDING MY DRIVER DOOR CLOSED. I HAD TO USE A HEAT GUN TO THAW THE LATCH SO THE DOOR WOULD PROPERLY LATCH SHUT. LUCKILY ON THE OTHER 5 OCCASIONS WHERE THE LATCH WAS FROZEN, I WAS AT HOME AND WAS ABLE TO USE A HEAT GUN TO THAW THE LATCH ENOUGH SO THAT THE DOOR WOULD CLOSE PROPERLY. I HAVE ONLY EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE WITH MY DRIVER DOOR. AS OF TODAY, 3/11/2019, MY TRUCK IS AT VAN HORN FORD OF OCONOMOWOC (WISCONSIN) HAVING SAFETY RECALL 18N03 PERFORMED.
I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES CLOSING MY DRIVERS DOOR, EVERY TIME THAT WEATHER IS UNDER FREEZING TEMPERATURES MY DOOR WON'T CLOSE. THE LATCH MAY IS FROZEN AND THE DOOR KEEPS OPEN. I HAVE A VIDEO AS EVIDENCE, BUT I CAN RECREATE THIS ISSUE ALMOST EVERY MORNING OR AFTERNOON WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW 32 FAHRENHEIT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD F-150. WHEN APPROACHING A STOP OR MAKING A RIGHT OR LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE CONTACT CRACKED HIS ELBOW WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT RECEIVED. THE CONTACT HAD TO USE MORE FORCE THAN USUAL TO TURN AND STEER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO OTHER UNKNOWN DEALERS AND SERVICED FIVE TIMES, BUT EACH REPAIR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO ASTROG FORD (2028 7TH ST, PARKERSBURG, WV 26101, (304) 485-8585) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT WAS "THE NATURE OF THE TRUCK AND THEY SHOULD DEAL WITH IT". THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,329.
STALLS WHILE MERGING WITH TRAFFIC. THEN RPMS RAISE AND TRUCK SLAMS VIOLENTLY INTO GEAR. EXTREMELY UNSAFE! NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS TO FORD. TO NO AVAIL. PLEASE HELP!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 FORD F-150. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. ALSO, A CLUNKING NOISE WAS PRESENT WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SWITCHED GEARS AND THE VEHICLE FELT DIFFERENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. NYE FORD (1555 UPPER LENNIX AVE, ONYE, NY) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.

FEBRUARY 28, 2019 STARTED TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY 2018 F150 STX JUST KEPT ON ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN, I APPLIED BRAKES AND IT WOULD SLOW DOWN BUT AS SOON AS I STOPPED BRAKING IT STARTED TO ACCELERATE AGAIN, IT DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES DURING BRAKING, I FINALLY HAD TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF AND PULL OVER. I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE ACCELERATOR RACED UP AGAIN, I SHUT IT OFF AGAIN AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES TO RESET TO DEFAULT. IT WAS OK AFTER THAT AND HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE BUT I AM WAITING FOR THE NEXT EVENT. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. CALLED HALLADA FORD IN DODGEVILLE WI. TO LET THEM KNOW AND THERE RESPONSE WAS THEY WERE UNAWARE OF THE PROBLEM, DON'T THINK I BELIEVE THAT!!
THIS IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE. WHEN IT IS COLD THE DOORS MAY OR MAY NOT LATCH. YOU HAVE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE HOLDING THE DOOR. I HAD TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER SEVERAL TIMES HOLDING MY DOOR CLOSED GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY.
DOOR LATCH, THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR WAS NOT CLOSING WHEN I FIRST GOT THE TRUCK. THIS IS NOT A NEW ISSUE. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN FIXED LAST APRIL AT THE FACTORY, BUT OBVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK LOOKED AT 3 TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE. IT MAY BE FIXED NOW, MAYBE NOT. HOW CAN FORD NOT HAVE RECALLS AND A FIX FOR THIS AND STILL BE ALLOWED TO SELL THESE VEHICLES? I HAVE HAD TO DRIVE MY TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY HOLDING THE DOOR SHUT. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH FORD MOTOR COMPANY, THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE OF WHOLE LOT. LAST WEEK IT WAS IN THE SHOP MORE THAN I HAD THE VEHICLE.
DOOR WILL NOT LATCH IN THE COLD. OPEN FINE WILL NOT LATCH SHUT. PARKED THE VEHICLE FOR THE WINTER MID NOVEMBER 2018 - OUTDOORS IN UPSTATE NY. HAD THE DOOR ON THE WINTER BEATER (2009 VOLVO V50) FREEZE OPEN. FRONT PASSENGER DOOR ON TRUCK WAS FROZEN OPEN AS WELL. HAD TO IDLE BOTH VEHICLES FOR 1/2 HOUR TO THAW THE LOCK TO WHERE IT WOULD LATCH. HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE TRUCK 2 MONTHS LATER WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WHICH WAS OPENED TO REMOVE A DOG LEASH FROM THE TRUCK. THIRD TIME WAS 3/23/19 WHEN THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR FROZE OPEN WHILE TRYING TO GET TO A CANINE SEARCH WITH MY DOG. ALL CASES THE VEHICLE HAD SAT FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS.
WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION ALL SAFETY WARNING INDICATORS LIGHTS COME WHICH CAUSES VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER. AND WILL NOT ALLOW VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO GETTING HIT WHICH HAS BEEN THE CASE. IN ADDITION, THIS ALSO CAUSES THE AUTO STOP FEATURE TO NOT WORK WHICH ALLOWS THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF WHEN STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS. THIS OCCURS TWO TO THREE DAILY.
TAILGATE RANDOMLY OPENS WHILE DRIVING AND OR AFTER DRIVING WHEN PARKED. WILL ALSO HAPPEN AGAIN REPEATEDLY AFTER CLOSING. WHILE TAILGATE IS OPEN AFTER FALLING IN OPEN POSITION YOU CAN HEAR RELAY CLICKING NOISES IN PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD AREA. SOUNDS LIKE RELAYS ARE CONSTANTLY TRIGGERING TO OPEN TAILGATE. INITIALLY THOUGHT KEY FOB WAS TRIGGERING PROBLEM, BUT ISOLATED KEYFOB AND DETERMINED KEYFOB IS NOT THE ISSUE. AM CONCERNED THAT ITEMS IN BACK OF BED AREA ARE GOING TO FALL OUT WHEN TRUCK IS MOVING AND CAUSE ACCIDENT OR WORSE. SOMETIMES DO NOT HEAR THAT THE TAILGATE OPENED WHEN DRIVING. MY VEHICLE HAS FACTORY INSTALLED BED COVER AND CANNOT SEE IF TAILGATE IS DOWN FROM INSIDE OF VEHICLE
THIS VEHICLE GENERALLY EXHIBITS HARSH UPSHIFTS (3RD-TO-4TH) AND DOWNSHIFTS (4TH-TO-3RD) AS INDICATED ON THE DRIVER'S IP. I HAVE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHEN THE VEHICLE WILL "MISS" THE SHIFT FROM 3RD TO 4TH, NORMALLY WHEN COLD AND UNDER LIGHT TO MODERATE THROTTLE CONDITIONS. THE GEAR INDICATOR BRIEFLY SHOWS 1ST GEAR, HOWEVER, I WAS ABLE TO APPLY FULL THROTTLE (100% ACCEL PEDAL), BUT HAD NO POWER TO THE WHEELS (DRIVE IS NOT ENGAGED), ENGINE SPEED ROSE TO APPROXIMATELY 3000 RPM. THIS CONDITION LASTED FOR ABOUT 2-3 SECS BEFORE IT SHIFTED TO 4TH, THE REVS SETTLED TO NORMAL/EXPECTED RANGE AND DRIVE TO THE WHEELS WAS RE-ENGAGED. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT LEAVES ME WITHOUT POWER TO SAFELY ACCELERATE, OR MERGE WITH TRAFFIC.
5.0 HAS A DISTINCT RATTLING NOISE AT LOWER RPM'S. THE ENGINE ALSO HAS A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WHICH IS DIFFERENT FROM THE RATTLING NOISE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THE GAS PEDAL TEMPORARILY STICKING AND THE ENGINE HAS A MISS. ALSO WAY DOWN ON FUEL ECONOMY AT 11MPG'S. THIS VEHICLE IS 3 MONTHS OLD AND DEALERSHIP SAYS AND (FORD CORPORATE SUPPORTS DEALERSHIP) THAT I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR ANY ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS REGARDING MY 5.0 ENGINE PROBLEMS
WE GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT OVER THE WEEKEND. WE WERE T-BONES BY A BUS. IT WRECKED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. HOWEVER, WHEN I WENT INTO THE PASSENGER SIDE TO GET MY PURSE OUT I NOTICED THAT THERE WERE FLAMES COMING FROM THE SIDE OF THE DRIVERS SEAT. OUR F150 IS NOW BURNT TO A CRISP. THERE'S NO REASON FOR THAT TRUCK TO HAVE CAUGHT FIRE LIKE THAT.
TRUCK SHUTS OFF WHEN PULLING A CAMPER AND WILL NOT RUN AFTER RESTART UNLESS YOU REV THE ENGINE AND QUICKLY PULL THE SHIFTER INTO DRIVE AND ACCELERATE QUICKLY. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOWS 'AUTO STARTSTOP SHIFT TO P, THEM RESTART ENGINE.' THIS HAS CAUSED MANY NEAR MISS ACCIDENTS. THE VEHICLE WILL STALL WHEN YOU TRY TO CROSS AN INTERSECTION OR PULL AWAY FROM A STOP SIGN.
ENTIRE REAR VIEW WINDOW SHATTERED FOR NO REASON, WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH and making a stop, the vehicle lunged forward without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer stated that no failure was found. The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacturer stated the vehicle needed to be diagnosed and repaired. The failure mileage was 8,000.
THE TRUCK HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES NOW FOR A SMALL GRINDING NOISE AND HARD STEERING. THE ORIGINAL THOUGHT WAS THE TRANSMISSION MODULE. AFTER A 1 MONTH BACKORDER ON THE PART, THE GRINDING NOISE WENT AWAY, BUT THE STEERING STILL FELT STIFF. IT WAS AS IF THE STEERING WHEEL WAS FIGHTING ME TO GO BACK TO CENTER. WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT, THE TRUCK LUNGES LEFT OR RIGHT DEPENDING ON THE MOST PREVIOUS TURN I PERFORMED. THE REAR END JUTS COMING OUT OF 4TH GEAR AS IF THE TRANSMISSION HAS NO CLUE WHAT GEAR IT SHOULD BE IN AROUND 30 MPH. IT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST WHEN THE ENGINE ON/OFF SYSTEM IS ENGAGED. COMING OUT OF A STOP, IT IS LIKE THERE IS ZERO POWER STEERING. I FEEL LIKE THIS SHOULD BE A FLUID RESPONSE (FOOT OFF BRAKE ONTO ACCELERATOR, TURN WHEEL, AND ENJOY THE RIDE). WHAT YOU FEEL INSTEAD IS LIKE TRYING TO TWIST YOUR ULNA AND RADIUS BONES 360 DEGREES ON AXIS - THE TRUCK DOESN'T LIKE IT. BOTTOM LINE IS THE TRUCK FEELS DANGEROUS. I PERSONALLY DO NOT WANT TO BE ONE OF THE UNFORTUNATE STATISTICS SEEMINGLY NECESSARY TO START A RECALL. I WANT FORD MOTOR CO TO SEE ALL THE COMPLAINTS AND MAN TO FIX AN OBVIOUSLY FLAWED SYSTEM.
TRANSMISSION DOWNSHIFTS HARD, DELAYS OF POWER TO REAR WHEELS, CLUNKING NOISE, SHUDDERING. BEEN TO DEALERSHIP,3 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION. DEALERSHIP SAID I NEED TO DRIVE THE TRUCK UNTIL TRANSMISSION GETS WORSE BEFORE THEY CAN FIX IT. DEALERSHIP SAID IM WASTING THEIR TIME WITH WARRANTY WORK. FORD WILL NOT TAKE ACTION TO HELP. TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS MAKE THE TRUCK UNSAFE TO DRIVE ALONG WITH ITS SEVERE STEERING PROBLEMS. TRUCK INSTANTLY PULLS TO THE RIGHT, WHEN STEERING WHEEL IS STRAIGHT, THE TRUCK DRIVES IMMEDIATELY TO THE LEFT, THE STEERING WHEEL BINDS AND WILL DRIVE ITSELF TO THE LEFT, IMPULSES IN THE STEERING WHEEL. TRUCK HUS BEEN TO DEALERSHIP 4 TIMES FOR STEERING DEFECT. DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED STEERING GEAR, 2 ALIGNMENTS, BALANCED ROTATED TIRES, ADJUST AIR PRESSURE. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT I AM WASTING THEIR TIME ON "WARRANTY WORK" THIS TRUCK IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE, FORD IS REFUSING TO COMPLY TO MY WARRANTY, AND FORD CORPORATE WILL NOT DO A MANUFACTURER BUY BACK. FORD WILL NOT GIVE REASONS FOR NOT DOING BUYBACK. FORD SAYS THIS INFORMATION IS "INTERNAL THING". THIS TRUCK IS A DANGER TO ME, MY KIDS, AND EVERYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD. TWO COMPLAINTS: 1- DOOR LOCKS STILL FREEZING AFTER BEING AT THE DEALER FOR A RECALL TO FIX THEM. FIX DID NOT WORK. 2- POOR DESIGN ON BOTH SIDE DOOR MIRRORS. THE SMALL WIDE ANGLE INSET MIRRORS ARE SET IN TOO DEEP AND ANGLED IMPROPERLY, THAT WHEN ADJUSTING THE LARGER MIRRORS THE VIEW OF THE INSETS NEGATES THEIR PURPOSE AND CAUSES A BLIND SIDE AREA AT A CRITICAL IN THE LEFT PASSING LANE WITCH IS MISSED BY BOTH MIRRORS. I,VE TRIED REPOSITIONING THEM TO ALLEVIATE THIS PROBLEM TO NO AVAIL. THIS IS A SAFETY PROBLEM. SEVERAL CLOSE CALL ACCIDENTS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCED.( MIRRORS WERE CLEAN AND UNOBSTRUCTED). ALSO THEY HAVE VIRTUALLY NO OVERHANG ON THE TOP AND THEREFORE ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO SNOW ICE AND RAIN. SUGGEST INCREASING THE TOP OVERHANG AREA SOMEWHAT. USED AUTO START TO WARM UP THE TRUCK. WENT AND STARTED DOWN THE STREET AND NOTICED BACK WINDOW HAD EXPLODED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE SLIDING WINDOW. SLIDING PART WAS FINE. WINDOW WAS FINE WHEN PARKED 8 HOURS BEFORE. THIS SAT WHERE NO ONE OR ANYTHING COULD HIT IT BEHIND MY HOUSE. DEALER SAID IT MY INSURANCE'S PROBLEM.

HOW IS FORD ALLOWED TO SELL ME THIS VEHICLE?
THE HEADLIGHTS, REG BEAMS, NOT HIGHLIGHTS, ARE REALLY DIM AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING IN EXTREME RAIN ON THE HIGHWAY. IT IS HARD TO SEE WHAT LAND YOU ARE IN AND VERY HARD TO SEE IN GENERAL. IT IS AS IF I AM DRIVING WITHOUT LIGHTS ON. I HAVE HAD 20 CARS INCLUDING OTHER MFG TRUCKS AND NEVER HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM. IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING IN RAIN ON THE FREEWAY.

SUPER LOW TEMPERATURES HIT OUR AREA AROUND 17 DEGREES AND THE LOCKS FREEZE TO THE POINT TO WHERE I CAN OPEN THE DOOR BUT THE ACTUATORS WON'T RETURN TO THE LOCK POSITION AND I HAVE TO THAW THE LOCK OTHERWISE THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE AND AM UNABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE
MY DOORS HAVE BEEN FROZEN OPEN OR CLOSED ALL WINTER LONG. THE CAME OPEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT ONE POINT. FORD CAN'T SEEM TO FIX IT.
10-SPEED TRANSMISSION HESITATES/RANDOMLY SHIFTS CONSTANTLY DURING DRIVING. WHEN STOPPING AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS, AFTER BEING COMPLETELY STOPPED, THE VEHICLE LURCHES AND AN AUDIBLE CLUNK CAN BE HEARD FROM THE TRANSMISSION. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN SLUGGISH WHEN ACCELERATING, TODAY THAT HAS GOTTEN FAR WORSE AND THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT IS ON. I HAD A 45 MINUTE DRIVE HOME AND THE TRUCK STRUGGLED TO GET UP TO 40 MPH. THIS ERRATIC TRANSMISSION BEHAVIOR MAKES IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN ANY KIND OF TRAFFIC OR ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T PREDICT HOW THE VEHICLE WILL BEHAVE WHEN PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL.
I BOUGHT THIS VEH IN WARM WEATHER WAS NOT ADVISED IN COLD WEATHER THER DOORS WILL FREEZE UP AND YOU CAN'T GET INTO YOUR VEH. IF THE DOORS DO GET OPEN THEY ARE FROZEN AND THE DOOR WILL NOT SHUT. FORD HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2015 AND STILL HAS NOT FIXED IT IN THE 2019 F-150 PICKUPS I WENT TO THE GROCREY STORE THE DOORS WERE WORKING WHILE IN THE STORE THE DOORS FROZE UP. I HAD TO WAIT TILL THE SUN GOT ON THE VEH TO GET THE DOORS OPEN. THERE ARE PICTURES OF PEOPLE WHO GET THE DOOR OPEN IT IS LOCKED IT WON'T SHUT SO THE BUNGICORD THE DOOR SHUT TO GET TO WORK. I HAVE A 2018 FORD F-150. MY DOORS WILL NOT LATCH CLOSED AT ALL WHEN IT FREEZES OUTSIDE AFTER IT HAS RAINED OR MOISTURE WAS IN THE AIR (FROST). THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IF I GET IN A WRECK IT COULD BE FATAL. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS TRUCK ANYMORE AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO FIX IT. I HAVE MULTIPLE VIDEOS OF THIS ISSUE AS WELL.
I JUST PURCHASED OUR TRUCK SO THE DEALERSHIP WASHED IT. I PARKED THE TRUCK FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES OUTSIDE IN BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND THE DOOR LATCH ON THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WOULD NOT HOLD THE DOOR SHUT. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND AGAIN THE PASSENGER DOOR WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY. TAKING TRUCK TO DEALERSHIP ON MONDAY TO HOPEFULLY GET IT FIXED. I'VE BEEN SEEING THAT THIS "FIX" DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK THOUGH.

ON 2 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH ON MY TRUCK HAS STUCK OPEN AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO LATCH THE DOOR CLOSED. I HAVE HAD TO DRIVE HOME BOTH TIMES HOLDING THE DOOR SHUT WITH MY LEFT ARM AND ONE HAND STEERING THE WHEEL. WHEN GOING AROUND TURNS I HAD TO SLOW WAY DOWN BECAUSE THE DOOR WEIGHT MULTIPLIED WITH FORCE AND GOT VERY HEAVY AND HARD TO STOP FROM FLYING OPEN..I DONT KNOW IF THE OTHER LATCHES ON MY TRUCK WOULD HAVE STUCK OPEN AS I WAS TO AFRAID TO TRY IT AND NOT BE ABLE TO GET THEM PROPERLY LATCHED SHUT. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ONLINE THIS IS A HUGE WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM WITH FRONT AND REAR DOORS ON 2015-2018 F150'S AND FORDS FIX IS TO SMEAR SOME GREASE AND OIL ON IT AND PUT A COVER OVER THE LATCH HAS NOT BEEN A SUCCESSFUL FIX ON ANY OF THE VEHICLES THEY HAVE DONE. IT IS IN NO DOUBT A SAFETY ISSUE. IF THE VEHICLE WAS TO ROLL OVER IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE DOOR WASNT LATCHED IT WOULD SURELY BE CRUSHED AND POSSIBLY COME BACK INTO THE CAB INJURING A DRIVER OR RIPPED OF EXPOSING THE DRIVER AND OR PASSENGERS TO HAZARDS OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. WILL THE TRUCK FAIR THE SAME IN A HEAD ON CRASH OR FRONT OVERLAP CRASH AS TESTED? I STRONGLY URGE WHOMEVER TO TAKE THE TIME TO INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND MAKE FORD FIX THIS ISSUE.. WHILE RUNNING DEFROSTER, BOTH FRONT AND BACK, CABIN FILLED WITH ACRID SMOKE. PULLED OVER ONTO SHOULDER OF TERTIARY ROAD TO INVESTIGATE FOR FIRE. WHILE PARKED, I HEARD AN EXTREMELY LOUD "CRACK" AND THE REAR WINDOW HAD SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED.
REAR CREW CAB DOORS DO NOT OPEN AFTER TEMPERATURE FREEZES. (CAN NOT GET INTO VEHICLE) AT TIMES REAR DOORS WILL NOT CLOSE AND FLY OPEN WHILE OPERATING. NOW PASSENGER FRONT DOOR NO LONGER OPENS USING THE INTELLIGENT ACCESS SYSTEM WITH THE DOOR HANDLE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE SAME INFORMATION AS THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.
